So I’ve never seen “The Emperor’s New Groove” but recently I saw a lot of tumblr post about it for whatever reason.

So this is what I know after about a month

- The villain is the Inca version of Baba Yaga

- Kronk is best boy

- Squirrels?

- An alpaca at one point

- Houses?

I had A LOT going on in my personal life this year so I don't quite have 24 images that I want to share, but these are a few of my favorites. From the SDV Legacy Challenge, to the Postcard Legacy Challenge, to my own legacy, it's been quite a year of planning/writing/game playing. pet peeves / dealbreakers : force shipping / speed shipping is Not the vibe . i adore romance and am nearly always down to do so between two consenting adults , but if we’ve had zero ooc communication , to jump straight into “ we’re in a committed relationship “ is a little too fast for me .

i also really dislike character dynamics where one muse is essentially the other muses therapist . always comforting them without ANY type of reciprocation or bonding outside of that — it’s exhausting . i’ve been put in that position way too many times in real life i can’t have it happen in fictional writing too lol

and finally , ship jealousy . it’s mad weird . we’re all adults and these are fictional characters . if you’re getting jealous over a multiship muse , please take a break it’s not that serious . i’ve been guilty of this myself in the past , and i have to force myself to take a small break to reconnect with the outside world . i’m not here to compete when we could all just hold hands and gush about our ships together .

best time to write : definitely in the evening / night ( cst ) ! that’s when i have the most muse , and i’ll usually try to check the dash around this time as well .

are you like your muse ? : NO lmao . i was talking with jaye the other night about how i am nothing like nod . aside from both of us being relatively outgoing and maybe adrenaline junkies / enjoying jobs with high stakes , we’re pretty much polar opposites . he’s type b , i’m type a , he’s a hopeless romantic , i’m not , he’s fuckin stupid , i am about 80% sure i’m not — we’re completely different . it’s what makes him so fun to write , though . i get to get into the mind of someone who’s pretty much nothing like me — it’s so fun to see the world through his eyes .

I also want to contribute to the ENG/ENS franchise by finally sharing some ideas I've had for ages. Specially about Malina.

Sooo... I was thinking that since Kuzco and some others have established headcanons by fans (such good ones btw) I thought Malina should have some too. So I may start with this girls' headcanons on another post. Only to see if the mun for the best Kuzco here agrees or not aggshsjs. (It's @boombambaby)

(I am also very confused by the end, by time travel rules, and by the tag scene) (so confused that all I could think about at the end was that scene from The Emperor's New Groove with Kuzco asking Yzma and Kronk how they arrived at the palace before them and Kronk replying: "By all accounts it doesn't make sense!" because honestly. it didn't.) Mother: Yzma Crushes: Kuzco and Deo

Being born as the daughter of the Emperor's advisor (Yzma), Angel was kept a secret for nearly 5 years, but still treated like a daughter with love and affection, but also heartbreak and shouts of negativity. Angel was soon introduced to Kuzco to be his royal painter and 'best friend' when they were both around 6 years old. Kuzco didn't have much interest in her only because she was a servant and he was a literal child at the time. Yzma would discuss plans with Angel and try to force her to help out, but some failures happened. Angel has been verbally and emotionally abused by her mother but she still loved her with all her heart.

The older she got, Angel started catching on the manipulation, feeling like a tool. Confronting her mother at age 10, Yzma became more distant with Angel, but started to feel bad the more she was away from her. Trying to make up for her negative actions, Angel was already about 12-13 years old, and could see how similar Angel has become to her; hot-headed, loud, but holds a sense of fashion, and so forth, making this more difficult than it should be. At age 14, the two had made up a bit, tried to think of plans of actual mother and daughter hangouts and future plans…. But it became worse once again.

Yzma had paid more attention to Kuzco and tried to think what would be the best to get rid of him and make herself the Empress, Angel calling her out in a fit of rage and was… Kicked out.

Angel had to move away, and become a villager, restart her life, etc. She felt miserable, wishing her and her mother had a better relationship. Angel had started drinking shortly after moving into a village. She had been through a deep depression and caused harmed upon herself, physically and mentally. Her life (after the age of 15) slowly got better, but she still had a bad drinking habit. She met the village 'crazy boy', Deo, and the two clinged on to each other and connected right away, as if they were destined to meet.

The two would chat about anything, from Family, to weird thoughts, to even their crush on the emperor.

By the time they were both 18, Angel had gotten the summons… She was asked to be Kuzco's royal painter once more after he found out the truth about her. She agreed, but only if Deo was allowed to tag along. He was skeptical at first, but since Kuzco was a better person, he gave in and allowed it. Deo and Angel were going back and forth from the villages to the palace, living the dream.

top 5 favourite crossover ships for your muse(s)

Kuzco/Elsa - Okay, I've GOT to start with this one. Based entirely on my SL with the amazing @wintersovereign, this is the most UNEXPECTED ship that I absolutely never saw coming, but quickly fell in love with. Elsa and Kuzco are such opposites in terms of personalities, styles of ruling, she's got super awesome powers etc etc. But they balance each other out and I just, I love them your honor!

Kuzco/Aladdin - Inspired by the comic, but also some plot ideas I would LOVE to see play out!

Kuzco/Jasmine - I don't know, I feel like they would make a very fun couple! I mean, they're more similar than I think people realize in terms of having suitors lined up for them, not really having a say in their lives (they will one day rule, and for Jasmine that is IT, but in Kuzco's case, he doesn't have a choice ) Jasmine was holed up in the palace for protection, and Kuzco did it to himself because he had no use for the peasants and only left when he wanted to-- which was rare (before the adventure). She's kind, and can teach him a lot about how to treat people etc. SO much potential I think.

Kuzco/Chel - Based on artwork and different fics and things I've read, I think this ship would be very interesting since their cultures are so similar, but so different.

Kuzco/Snow White - Based entirely on everything the lovely @twisting-echo has posted, and our little SL's together! I love the idea of Snow and Kuzco together! : ) BONUS UNLIKELY PAIR - and hear me out on this one:

Kuzco/Gabriel from Supernatural - Okay. Think about it, the Trickster? Loves to eat, loves over the top, opulence, whatever suits his fancy, can create anything with a snap of his fingers since, you know-- Archangel. I had an RP with a Gabriel that wasn't romantic, but even the FRIENDLY chemistry between them was fantastic and I loved their dynamic. This one is probably definitely out there, but. Something I'd consider!

tip; I am literally always open to discussing ships, and am up for just about ANYTHING. Sometimes the most unexpected ideas create the most amazing things, and if you think for ANY reason Kuzco would get along with your character, but aren't sure how to go about it trust me when I say I would LOVE to flesh it out. I am very, very, VERY good at rambling on FOREVER about my ship with my partners, or friendships, or literally ANYTHING. so pls.

Also, aside from the wonderful writers I've mentioned, this is NOT based on any of my current SL's unless directly plotted by and discussed by me and whoever I am writing with. Meaning, if you play these characters, I under no circumstance expect this kind of relationship, or would hint at a relationship unless it was discussed first so please do not take this as me trying to HINT HINT, GIMME! you with this list!

just admit y'all don't know what filler episodes actually are & don't understand that major plot arcs aren't needed to deepen the overall story or characters. it can come from "filler" episodes in small changes or experiences but cause its not part of the main story y'all complain.

culture based rambling again don't mind me

i love the combination of partial memories and those memories being things that don't quite make sense. especially when it meets culture things.

we have a photo of the body in a qipao, and our uncles live in china. they didn't live in china at the time, none of our immediate relatives are chinese, and we were... pretty young in it. like, might not know different countries existed, young. apparently our grandfather got it from Chinatown. why? nobody knows. he's gone and we can't ask him.

we know the taste of mooncakes, but don't remember eating them. none of our family remembers ever having one. we remember how they look when sliced into eight. we can only assume it was our grandfather again, but he wasn't chinese. he's not asian at all. why is this something we know, that we remember? nobody seems to have an answer.

we've had indigenous alters for years, but the old host forgot entirely that we were indigenous at all. sage remembers that we were told off for interacting with indigenous cultures of any kind when we were younger. and none of that makes sense with our other memories. why do we remember stories that we would have never been told by our family? why did we have indigenous alters to start with. why were we interacting that young if we were told off for it.

was it our grandfather again? he was black and cherokee, though we are neither. it's not impossible, but it doesn't make sense. it could have been a teacher we had in california, but we were there for so little time, when would they have taught us?

a northern indigenous friend of ours has said that Sage looks and seems like they might be based on cherokee culture, for lack of better words. Where would we have learned it though?

i don't know.

was it all from a movie? no movie we would have seen that young would have been that accurate... even things we don't remember knowing anything about are pointed out later as accurate to different cultures.

there's so much culture we have memories of, and none of those memories are solid enough to know what to do with.

we're not chinese. we're not cherokee. we're taino and breton. and even then, we're reconnecting, because we don't Know enough of our own culture despite it... being ours.

why. what are we supposed to do with this?

it's not our culture. we don't remember enough about it to know why we know it. if we at least knew that, we could do something with it, but... we don't even have that.

all we want are explanations and answers about this, but none of them make any sense.

looking back, we have vague memories of one of the very old 'hosts' talking to sage about it. we couldn't have been even a teen yet. we have other memories of knowing we were southern indigenous, and not knowing/remembering which culture.

what do we do with this?

i don't think anyone has the answers to that. even if they did, would it matter if they could tell us, or would we have to decide for ourselves? i don't know. none of us know.

so the whole premise of the emperors new groove show is they realized kuzco never finished school so for some reason he has to go back and do school before he can continue to be emperor (no idea who’s actually running the kingdom while he’s in school. they kinda didn’t acknowledge that problem but i guess kuzco never really did a lot of official responsibility stuff anyway) 

and now the plot of this episode is the royal matchmaker has arranged him a marriage. and if he gets married. he becomes emperor again. and doesn’t have to finish school after all. what kind of ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT LOGIC
