what’s your routine like at the hotel? Do you wake up early or late?

A lot of my friends assume that I'm a night owl, but I actually like going to sleep early so I can wake up early as well! I kind of get headaches when I sleep in, and besides, I like seeing the sun rise in the morning!

After waking up, my first priority is checking on Baxter, seeing if he needs food, water, or his tank cleaned. After that, I go to the bathroom and take about an hour fixing my bristles. Fan tells me that it's unnecessary, but he doesn't see how tangled they get when I wake up! ...Anyways, after that, I brush my teeth and go back to my bed to sketch a little bit and let Baxter roam around. When Fan wakes up, we go downstairs and eat breakfast. Once we finish, I basically just go about whatever I'm doing on that particular day.

In the evening, I eat dinner with the others at the hotel, maybe cleaning the dishes afterwards- depending on the day. Following that, I go back up to my room, take a shower, and place Baxter back in his tank. I always try to go to sleep before Fan gets back because he stays up on his laptop for basically the whole night...

But uhh, not sure if you wanted to go into that much detail, hah.. hopefully I answered your question!

i was debating myself on whether or not i should do a traceover of this panel

anyways props to abby howard for going through hatching and detail hell, what a boss

in my GREAT WISDOM (sarcastic) i forgot to put side windows on the school made out of cabins here

so i had to add them after copy-pasting every cabin

Originally, these were Prisoner (lie, she skips school) and Advy (cheat, she forces Quiet to do te homework), but i thought against it and gave them to the obvious choices (plus Narrator was introducing the school to Quiet here, so he couldn't be the one talking to Advy)

i don't really draw the voices, but the Narrator is here!

i think it's a pretty universal choice to give Narrator glasses.

by the way, all these Japanese doesn't mean I'm fluent 😭😭 i'm still just a learner, so if there's a mistake, don't be afraid to correct me!

Design notes:

Based on a ring-necked pheasant: gaudy fowl bred and released by aristocracy, who hunt them as leisure.

As a part of Slayer's psyche, represents Resignation and Grief.

Molting in patches and scratched from self-harm.

Wings cut off since long ago, body emaciated and small for his (seeming) lack of confidence and power.

Inspired by Karma Karmeleon's Broken, his claws were filed off in willing submission

Inspired by @itsonlypolite 's Broken's clothes, mine always carries a thick blanket, which is often slung across the shoulders like a priest's stola. Brokes mopes and needs comfort, or preaches and is reverent.

As Tower decreed, she is brillant radiance and Slayer is quiet shadow: Broken wears black. In a twisted way, he thinks he's doing what's best for Slayer by giving in and giving up.

As a classic groveling submissive to his classic mean Dominant goddess, he does enjoy subservience and being controlled by the Tower. Which is why he wears a collar with a ring big enough to fit Tower’s finger. (His neck is bright white… almost like a painted target…. almost like a collar was meant to be there ~ )

In Apotheosis, the ring grows to fit her even larger finger. His stola turns white for devotion to her.

In Cage, he allies with the Princess (white trousers and sympathy necklace of chains) and thoroughly scolds everyone for their inconsiderate and violent urges (red stola: a passionate preacher indeed).

For Tower!Fury, his collar ring broke and tarnished. For Adversary!Fury his blanket/stola is colored like Fury!Cold's: White (Princess sympathy) going into red (passion and emotion guiding) going into black (strength from knowing what you are: The Long Quiet).

In Wild, besides the repaired clothes and poppy flower crown, he gets a ribbon as gentle, adoring decoration from the Princess.
