Rating Star Trek TOS costumes because why not! (part 9)

A Piece of the Action (2x17). Iconic fits. The screencap alone fills me with indescribable joy. They match so well, from the pinstriped suits right down to the polka dotted ties and handkerchiefs. 10/10, Kirk definitely kept these and made Spock roleplay with him.

A Private Little War (2x19). This feels culturally insensitive. I like the stupid orange faux fur crop top the girl is wearing but god, these costumes are sloppy even by TOS standards. The guy's vest is tied closed by what looks like leather shoelaces? Just leave it open you cowards, 3/10.

This ridiculous thing (seen here climbing on top of the Captain) is a "mugatu" and I love it. It's not quite Gorn levels of iconically silly alien creatures but it's up there. Looks like the abominable snowman and a stegosaurus had a baby, 7/10.

Patterns of Force (2x21). Why is it that normal clothes look so exotic on these two? The color of the shirt makes Kirk look like he's wearing a Canadian tuxedo, which I love, and Spock is adorable in his beanie and sweater (though couldn't they have given them one without holes in it?). 8/10.

Yes this counts as a costume!! My list, my rules. I'm honestly so impressed with how alien they managed to make Spock look just with a green tint to his skin, and him not sweating at all while Kirk is positively glistening is another nice touch. 10/10, they look like the cover of a 1980s harlequin novel with some seriously dark themes.

By Any Other Name (2x22). This could have been just a basic jumpsuit but they really elevated it by making it backless - plus the powder blue color is beautiful on this actress (who btw is ridiculously gorgeous). Her hair in the second screencap is also adorable, the way it's done up to almost resembled a tiara. 9/10.

Her male costars, however, don't get anything nearly as exciting to work with. The beige jumpsuit layered over the brown turtleneck is at least a little bit interesting (and it's on another gorgeous actor, which doesn't hurt) but the other guy? That's literally what they wear in prison. 6/10 for the first guy, 2/10 for the second.

here is Cole accidentally going full Dad Mode (Dragonsong draft 1)

“There are certainly mages who do bad things,” said Cole softly. “But I don’t believe you are one of them. Evil people don’t worry that they might be evil.” SB snorted. “I mean… I’m a mage, and not an entirely terrible person. Though I’m no saint. I’ve been a right dick to Robin, haven’t I?” “You have,” said Sierra, before Isi could answer. SB looked offended, then realised he’d said it first. Isi had to smile. “Excuse me?” said Cole. “I’m sure I taught you better than that.” Another silence fell as Cole seemed to realise what he’d just said. SB burst into teary laughter. The sound that came from Robin’s mouth was half-laugh, half-sob. Sierra giggled and Ebele covered her mouth with both hands. Cole’s laugh was deep and warm, even choked with tears. Laughter didn’t seem entirely appropriate… except Isi couldn’t stop herself. She laughed too, from deep within her. Her side ached, but she didn’t want to stop. It might not have been dragonsong, but Isi wished she could live in the feeling forever. Confused and messy and sad as it was, there was joy there, and it was beautiful.

When she finished, a small garden of flowers surrounded the mended tear, pink and blue and yellow. She smiled. It might be small and simple, but it was beautiful. And that was enough. “Shit!” Robin’s voice carried clearly from the next room. “Shitshitshit.” Isi sprang to her feet and stuck her head around the corner. A curtain was on fire. Orange flames danced towards the ceiling, creeping up the fabric even as she watched. Robin had fallen to the floor, his cane out of reach. Sierra, eyes wide, echoed his earlier sentiment. “What do we do?” “Get them off the wall,” said Isi, the words dredged up from some lesson as a trainee knight. “Then get some water.” For a heartbeat, no one moved. Then Sierra ran for the kitchen and Robin gestured frantically towards the curtains. The fabric floated down to an open space of floor. Sierra barely even made it back into the room with the jug of water. SB flung a hand out and the water rose from it, spinning and twisting through the air. The magic on Robin’s hands glowed brighter as he reached towards the water too. The two collected it into a spinning ball of water above the curtains. Then they let it go. Water splattered across the room. A drop hit Isi in the eye and she instinctively closed them. Then her mind caught up—what if the fire wasn’t out?—and she opened her eyes again. Smoke rose from the blackened, soaked curtain, but the fire was out. “Shit,” said Robin again for good measure. Isi let go a breath. “Robin, are you alright?” “I am fine. I think the curtain is less fine.” “I didn’t ask about the curtain.” She offered him a hand up. “What happened?” Robin accepted the hand up with a grunt of pain. “Tried some fire spells, which is something I haven’t done much of. Started out alright, but I stood up for too long and my leg had some objections.” He grabbed the table for support and lowered himself into a chair. “And it turns out that when your hands are on fire, you should not use a curtain to catch you. Sorry.”

Triceratops - share a scene where one character is protecting or caring for another (Dragonsong draft 1)

“Isi! Watch out!” The dragon’s head turned towards Robin, but it made no move to hurt either of them. So what did she—oh. Her sword spun through the air, end over end. Purple sparks danced around it. Magic. Magic which had no place with a knight and her squire. Almost of its own accord, her hand shot up and grabbed the hilt, and she scrambled to her feet. The dragon lunged for Robin, and Isi lunged for the dragon. The softer underbelly was no harder than leather armour. Even at an awkward angle, Isi’s sword punched through skin and muscle, past bone, and into the dragon’s heart.

Warrior Beasts

Like Galaxy Warriors, Warrior Beasts by Remco was a 1983 line of scantily clad 5.5″ action figures designed to leech off the success of Masters of the Universe. Remco also did licensed figures for Conan the Barbarian and DC’s Lost World of the Warlord. Barbarian comics had been A Thing for a number of years before He-Man existed.

Let’s split these guys up between the two body types they used:

Craven had a bird head on the scaly reptilian body, which is clever since birds are descended from dinosaurs and typically have scaly legs.

Hydraz, loosely based on the mythic hydra, had two reptilian heads on a shared neck!

Snake Man has the honor of predating Kobra Khan by 1 year and MorU’s Snake Men faction by 3.

Stegos the dinosaur man looks nothing like a Stegosaurus, due to lacking any plates or spikes. He doesn’t even have the tailed loins from Snake Man!

Wolf Warrior has a wolf head on a reptilian body, which is amazing. Is he a reptile man a werewolf infected with lycanthropy? I want lore for this guy.

Moving on to the ones with a “He-Man” body...

Gecko! Yes, despite paying for a reptilian body mold, Remco also made reptile men with colorful human bodies. I think Gecko’s purple with skimpy orange clothes is my favorite.

Guana the... Triceratops. I prefer the Triceratons from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Ramar is Guana’s red torso and marbled limbs + loincloth with a different reptile head. He was only available in Europe boxed with a frilled lizard steed.

Zardus is our fourth and last reptile-headed human Warrior Beast.

Last but certainly not least is Skull Man, the Skeletor of this line! His pirate boots, fur loincloth and short gloves match his bare white skull, his skin tone matches the jet black voids in the skull, and the jewel-tone magically glowing eyes, cape accessory and painted accessories on his sculpt are all non-identical bright reds, so he really pops.

Godzilla Flock And Topics About  Godzilla

Kalian pasti pernah dengar kata-kata seperti Kadal dan dinosaurus tidak, kata-kata itu  mengingatkan sebuah Dinosaurus rakasasa. Dinosaurus Raksasa yang dimaksud adalah  Godzilla. Jadi Godzilla itu makhluk seperti apasih mari saya jelaskan terlebih dahulu.

Yang Fans nya Godzilla pasti dong Godzilla itu apa.

Godzilla adalah sosok monster Raksasa fiksi legendaris asal Jepang yang pertama kali  diproduksi menjadi Film oleh Toho Company Ltd pada 1954. 

Nama Godzilla merupakan gabungan dari gorilla dan kujira yang menggambarkan  ukuran, kekuatan dan hidup di air. Godzilla itu digambarkan sebagai makhluk raksasa  prasejarah destruktif yang terkena radiasi Nuklir. Godzilla sendiri merupakan  representasi dari Bom nuklir, karena insiden Pengeboman atom Hiroshima dan Nagasaki  dan Lucky Dragon 5 masih menempel di pikiran orang-orang Jepang.

Godzilla dianggap sebagai Raja Monster hal ini terlihat dari Film Godzilla : King of The  Monster. 

Ishiro Serizawa yang di film itu diperankan Ken Watanabe mengatakan bahwa, Godzilla  dipercaya sebagai predator teratas dari para Monster dan merupakan Monster yang  bertugas menjaga tatanan kehidupan di muka Bumi dari gangguan Monster lain.

Godzilla aslinya adalah Dinosaurus. Desain ikonik Godzilla sering dikatakan terdiri dari  campuran ciri-ciri dari berbagai spesies Dinosaurus. Untuk lebih spesifik, ia memiliki  tubuh dan bentuk keseluruhan dari rekonstruksi Tyannosaurus Rex atau Allosaurus pra 1990. Jadi kesimpulannya adalah tidak ada hewan yang benar-benar hidup sebesar Godzilla di  dunia nyata. Bisa dikatakan Godzilla itu adalah Raja dari Kaiju Yang ada di Monarch.

Monarch adalah makhluk penghancur super kuat ciptaan absolute being, sementara  Shadow mengarah pada elemen atau kekuatan yang dimiliki nya Kemampuan Shadow  Monarch berkutat di pengendalian bayangan seperti mencuri dan menciptakan pasukan  bayangan.

Absolute being adalah Makhluk yang menciptakan Alam semesta Solo Leveling, dan juga  bertanggung jawab atas penciptaan Ruler dan Monarch. Dia adalah Makhluk yang  sangat jahat, yang membiarkan para Ruler dan Monarch bertarung hanya untuk  hiburannya.

Kaiju adalah genre Film dan Televisi Jepang yang menampilkan Monster Raksasa. Istilah  Kaiju dapt merujuk pada Monster Raksasa itu sendiri, yang biasanya digambarkan  menyerang Kota-kota besar dan melibatkan Militer, atau Kaiju lainnya, dalam  petempuran. Genre Kaiju adalah subgenre dari hiburan Tokusatsu. Godzilla sendiri  mempunyai Era nya masing-masing apa ya kira-kira Ok Aku akan membahasnya 

Various Eras of Film and Godzilla : 

1. Era Showa 

Untuk yang pertama pada Eranya Godzilla adalah era showa. Gojira (1954) adalah  bagian dari periode dari seri film Gojira yang disebut Era Showa. Sebagai film yang  pertama, ia menjadi dasar cerita film-film setelahnya. Semua film era Showa adalah  kelanjutan dari Gojira yang pertama, walaupun tidak terhubung satu sama lain dengan  film penerusnya.

2. Era Heisei 

Era Heisei merupakan istilah yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi era politik Jepang  sebelumnya. Jepang, yang dimulai pada tahun 1989 dengannaik takhta Kaisar Akihito  dan berakhir pada tahun 2019 Secara teknis, film Milennium dan Monsterverse Godzilla  juga merupakan bagian dari Era Heisei karena dirilis pada periode politik Heisei, tetapi  dianggap sebagai seri terpisah dari seri Heisei karena memiliki kontinuitas yang terpisah  dan berbeda. Waralaba kaiju besar lainnya belum mengikuti konvensi ini meskipun  mengalami jeda serupa : misalnya, Gamera: The Brave dianggap sebagai bagian dari seri  Heisei, meski dirilis tujuh tahun setelah film sebelumnya Gmera 3 : Revenge of lris.

3. Era Milenium 

Era Milenium adalah era yang membuat penasaran, karena formatnya antologi dengan  setiap Filmnya benar-benar terpisah Asal usul makhluk Godzilla yang muncul dalam film film ini yang diterima secara umum mirip dengan Godzilla Era Showa kedua, karena film  pada tahun 1954 masih menjadi bagian dari kanon sebagai besar film-film ini. Namun,  dalam Serangan Habis-habisan Monster Raksasa, ada perbedaan besar. Film ini  menampilkan salah satu versi Godzilla paling kejam yang pernah dilihat di layar lebar,  dan film ini memuat gagasan bahwa Godzilla, tidak seperti film lain yang dibintangi  monster tersebut, dirasuki oleh jiwa-jiwa yang mati di pasifik selama Perang Dunia  Kedua. Hal ini membantu menjelaskan kebiadaban Godzilla dalam film ini, dibandingkan  dengan sikapnya yang relatif orang baik Sepanjang Era Milenium.

4. Era Reiwa 

Dan di urutan yang terakhir pada era nya Godzilla adalah Era Reiwa.  Reiwa adalah era di Jepang yang menggantikan Heisei setelah pergantian pemimpin ke  kaisar Naruhito pada Mei 2019. Era ini penting karena seri Godzilla dibagi beberapa Era,  yaitu Showa, Heisei, Milenium dan sekarang Reiwa (Monsterverse juga sering dianggap  jadi era-nya sendiri).

Yang Berikut nya soal kekuatan, kemampuan dan masih banyak lagi.

Kekuatan : 

Godzilla dapat mengisi daya nuklir dan melepaskannya secara serentak.  Kekuatan nuclear pulse ini akan melepaskan Gelombang Energi Atom yang  kuat dari tubuh Godzilla. Kemampuan Nuclear Pulse ini pernah digunakan  oleh Godzilla dua kali untuk mengalahkan Ghidorah dalam film Godzilla:  King of The Monster.

Ciri-ciri : 1. Bentuknya seperti Dinosaurus Namun Jauh lebih   besar dari pada Dinosaurus umumnya 

2. Dia bisa mengeluarkan Radiasi Nuklir dari mulutnya 

 maupun dari Badannya pada Godzilla 

3. Biasanya Godzilla digambarkan sebagai Makhluk 

 Reptil Raksasa berkaki dua dengan sisik kasar, 

 bergelombang, dengan bekas luka Keloid atau tekstur 

 seperti kulit pohon, kepala yang cukup kecil dengan 

 tonjolan seperti alis yang menonjol di atas mata, 

 lengan humanoid dengan empat jari termasuk ibu 

 jari, kaki berotot dan lain-lain.

4. Dia digambarkan Makhluk Fiksi yang ada di laut 

 Jepang 

5. Kadal yang mempunyai Ekor besar

Shin Godzilla tigginya 112 meter di bentuk keempatnya, Godzilla Ultima  punya ukuran 100 meter lebih, sedangkan Godzilla Earth tentu yang  terbesar yaitu 300 meter. Tentu disbanding yang modern, Godzilla Minus  One lebih kecil.

Kemampuan :

⮚ Kemampuan yang paling dasar adalah Atomic Breath. Namun  Godzilla sendiri nggak hanya menggunakan kekuatan tersebut untuk  menyerang. Kita bisa melihat bahwa Godzilla punya kekuatan  bernama atomic rays. Dengan kemampuan ini, Godzilla dapat  menembakkan sinar Atom dari beberapa bagian tubuhnya.

Mampu mengeluarkan Radiasi Nuklir dari tubuhnya hal ini karena  terlihat dari film Godzilla King of the Monster yang dimana ketika  Godzilla legendary melawan King Ghirdorah. Nah ketika King  Ghidorah ini mau menyerang, Godzilla ini Pun langsung  mengeluarkan Jurus terkuatnya yaitu Mengeluarkan Radiasi Nuklir.  Nah pasti orang-orang belum akan tentu tahu dari Jurusnya Godzilla ini.

Pasti dari kalian pasti mungkin ada yang nanya kok bisa sih Godzilla  ini bisa mengeluarkan Jurusnya tersebut. Ok Biarkan aku  menjelaskannya. Jadi Godzilla ini mendapatkan kekuatannya itu dari  Mothranya Gaiss karena King Ghidorah ini niatnya mau menyerang  Godzilla Ehh tau nya, Godzilla ini Mendapatkan Perlindungan dari  Mothra, yang dimana sebelum Mothra Ini Mati gara-gara si King  Ghidorah. Mothra ini mengasih sebuah seperti kekuatan agar  Godzilla bisa bangkit kembali kekuatannya tersebut seperti burning  Godzilla yang pernah ada di Film pada tahun 1995 pas dimana  Godzilla ini melawan Monster yang namanya destoroyah, Cuman kali  ini lawannya bukan Destoroyah melainkan King Ghidorah. Nah  setelah si Mothranya sudah mengasih kekuatannya dan melindungi  sang Raja Godzilla Akhirnya sang Ratu pun Tumbang Alias tewas  mengenaskan. Nah jadi itu dia asal usul dimana Godzilla itu  mendapatkan Kekuatannya seperti Burning Godzilla. Alias bisa  mengeluarkan Jurusnya tersebut.

Godzilla ini mampu terbang dan bisa dibilang sih kemampuannya  sangat mustahil. Ini terjadi karena Pada Film Godzilla pada tahun  1971 yang dimana Godzilla tersebut Ingin mengejar Monster yang  namanya Hedorah. Karena Hedorah juga memiliki kemampuannya  bisa terbang juga agar si Hedorah tersebut tidak akan kena  serangannya dari Godzilla. Zamannya Godzilla Bisa terbang itu  merupakan Zaman yang dimana Zaman Showa itu terjadi. Dan bisa  aku katakan Bahwa Kemampuannya Godzilla ini terbilang cukup  Langka loh.

Dan untuk kemampuannya Godzilla yang terakhir ini itu Masih saya  katakan bahwa kemampuannya Godzilla ini terbilang cukup Unik dan  langka Juga. Ya apalagi Kemampuannya adalah Memanipulasi Metal  yang dimana kemampuannya tersebut muncul pada Film Godzilla vs  Mechagodzilla pada tahun 1974. Kemampuannya Godzilla ini muncul  pada saat Era nya Godzilla Showa, yang dimana Godzilla ini sedang  bertarung melawan Mechagodzilla ya Guys.

I would like a stegosaurus with maybe like rusty oranges or brown colors if it was possible. I myself could afford the 15 dollars but I do not have online money and I don't think my mom would be willing to pay that :']

Plannosaurus Stegosaurus

I've actually built up to the fifth release of this line at this point, and I've been looking forward to them every time since they're so fun to paint. Painting natural things rather than mechanical ones allows a lot more leeway, even if the entire build never takes more than 3 hours.

From a build perspective, it's very similar to its predecessors. My only gripe with it is you have to swap out its plates and thagomizers (yes, that's what the tail spikes are called) in order to put the skin on, which leaves a lot of spare parts lying around.

The Details: Yellow eyes, painted nails, and dotting the nostrils. I wanted to do a bit of a gradient for the plates and thagomizers, so I did them in yellow, orange, and red. It also had armored bumps all over it, so I did them in yellow as it was the basest color I used elsewhere. I also added a little texture to the skin by adding some alternative purple stripes.

Overall, while I think it's a bit weaker than the previous two due to parts swapping (and, honestly, of the line so far), I personally enjoy it thanks to the paint potential. It was a fun few hours, and if you like the dinosaur, I'm sure you'll like this.

Botober 2021: pls draw the AI a sluggalope

Because I so dearly love it when humans play along when computers ask for silly things, I have generated drawing prompts for #botober2021!

I've managed to get GPT-3 to follow themes. Here's "animals".

It turns out the model size makes a difference as to how well a neural net can stick with my #botober2021 drawing prompts theme.

The largest GPT-3 model, DaVinci, really got into the Halloween spirit, though as usual it's weird and wordy.

I got the Ada, the smallest GPT-3 model, to generate a list of Halloween #botober2021 prompts but sometimes its link to the theme is a bit tenuous.

Summary: Y/N and Spencer were college sweethearts at Cal-Tech but once Spencer got accepted to the FBI Academy, he ended things deciding it was not fair to make Y/N wait for him. When they meet again years later, he discovers something unexpected.

Chapter 3

“Hey buddy,” Spencer sat down in the chair next to Henry who was coloring at the table after dinner.

“Hi Uncle Spencer,” Henry replied, switching his orange marker out for a green one.

“So Josephine seemed pretty cool,” Spencer started.

He wanted to know more about his possible kid before going to Y/N. If it was true and she would let him meet her, he wanted to know all about her.

“Yeah, she sits at the same table group as me in class. One time when we were playing tag at recess, I fell and hurt my knee but she kissed it three times and said that’s what her Mommy does when she has a boo boo and it didn’t hurt anymore,” Henry explained.

“Does she talk about her Mommy a lot?” Spencer asked.

“She loves her Mommy like sooooo much. She says her Mommy says she doesn’t need a Daddy because her Mommy loves her extra,” Henry smiled.

“That’s nice,” Spencer said, getting up from the table.

Spencer was glad to hear that Y/N and Josephine seemed to be having a good life. He was just saddened that it didn’t include him even if she wasn’t his kid. He didn’t blame Y/N for not telling him if it was his. He honestly would have had no idea how he would have handled that news back then.

“And that is the difference between a stressor and a trigger. Any questions?” Spencer slid his hands into his pockets as he looked out into the audience.

The students were silent. Most of the girls appeared to be in a daze but still looking at him. Spencer furrowed his brow.

“Okay well then, I will see you next Monday. We will be covering chapter four section three of your textbook regarding victimology so I would suggest skimming it over before class,” Spencer finished.

He grabbed satchel from the desk and quickly exited the lecture hall. He had looked up the class schedules in the administration office and Y/N was also finishing a lecture at this time. Spencer was hoping to catch her before she could run away again.

He quietly slipped into the back of the lecture hall, taking a seat in the last row.

“Okay! That is it for today. Remember, we have a lab next class so closed toe shoes only and long hair tied back please. Have a great day, everyone,” you announced.

Students began to file out of the room, some coming up to your desk with questions so Spencer hung out in his seat a little longer. Once the last student had their question answered, Spencer got up and made his way to your desk as you were packing up your things. When you heard the footsteps, you looked up with a friendly smile that was immediately replaced with a grimace.

You grabbed your bag and keys and bolted. However, Spencer was expecting this and was hot on your tail.

“Y/N, please slow down. I just want to talk,” he pleaded as he chased you across the campus, garnering funny looks from people passing by.

You sighed and halted your movement. Spencer was not expecting this so he almost crashed into you. You took a step back to regain your personal space.

You looked around, noticing some people were staring.

“Let’s go to the coffee shop on campus,” you suggested.

Spencer still remembered how you took your coffee after all these years and insisted on paying even though you told him that wasn’t necessary.

You both sat down in a quiet booth in the corner. You were nervously fiddling with the coffee cup sleeve and avoiding eye contact.

“I-Is Josephine mine?” Spencer asked.

You could feel his eyes burrowing into your skull. You couldn’t lie to him, I mean you could but you wouldn’t get away with it because he was a profiler.

You finally looked up and made eye contact, “Yes, she is,” you stated.

Spencer smiled softly with tears brimming his eyes.

“Did you know before I Ieft?” Spencer sniffled.

“No, I found out after,” you responded.

Silence fell over the both of you.

“Why did you break up with me, Spencer? It all happened so fast that I never got a reason. We could have made long-distance work if you actually cared,” you spoke softly.

“Y/N please do not doubt that I cared about you. I loved you, I think I still do after all these years. I just thought you would be better off without me holding you back and not having a lot of personal time to visit you. It doesn’t mean I ever stopped thinking about you. I just thought you deserved someone better,” Spencer explained.

“Yeah well no one wanted to date the single mom in college. Guys would run for the hills when I told them,” you chucked sardonically.

“I’m sorry” is all Spencer could manage to say.

He thought he was doing Y/N a favor by breaking up with her but instead he made everything worse. He abandoned her to figure out how to take care of their child on her own.

“Can I-um...I would love to get to know her more,” Spencer stuttered.

“Spencer, I don’t know if that’s the best-” you started to say.

“Please,” Spencer begged.

You closed your eyes and exhaled.

“You can come with me to pick her up from the school if you want. You can play with her for an hour with my supervision. Under no circumstances are you to tell her that you are her father,” you demanded.

“Understood,” Spencer nodded.

You finished the last sip of your coffee and slid out of the booth, tossing it in the trash can.

“Let’s go,” you motioned for him to follow you.

Spencer scrambled out of his seat to catch up with you.

You unlocked the car and you both hopped in. Spencer noticed the backseat of your car had random toys and articles of children’s clothing scattered around and he smiled at just the thought that they belonged to his daughter.

When you pulled into the school parking lot, you turned to speak to him for the first time since he entered the car.

“You stay here,” you said as you turned the car off.

Spencer watched as you approached the line of kids and a genuine smile grew on your face. Josephine ran over to you and was immediately scooped up and littered in kisses. Josephine was dressed in overalls with a dinosaur sweater and a mini pair of converse. Y/N whispered something in her ear and she nodded as they made their way back to the car.

“Jo, you remember Spencer, Henry’s friend?” you opened the car door.

“Hi Josephine!” Spencer greeted.

Jo snuggled herself closer into your neck.

“Why are you being shy today, Baby J? Remember you already met him? He told you all those cool dino facts. Maybe he can tell you some more on the way home,” you bounced the child in your arms a few times before gently placing her into the car seat and buckling her in.

“Josephine, I remember you said stegosauruses were your favorite. Stegosaurus actually means ‘roofed lizard’ and their brains were the size of ping pong balls,” Spencer was looking at the child through the rearview mirror.

He heard the sweetest little giggle. The sound was music to his ears.

“Mommy, did you hear that? They have ping pong balls for brains,” Jo laughed.

“Yes, baby, I heard but I think Spencer said they were the size of ping pong balls, not actual ping pong balls,” you smiled as you corrected her.

Spencer turned around to face her now that Jo was feeling more comfortable.

“They also weighed about two tons which is about the same weight as this car,” Spencer smiled.

“Woah,” Jo exclaimed in awe.

“Okay! We’re home! Jo, you can play with Spencer for a little but then we have to do your ABC’s homework,” you explained as you parked the car in your driveway.

You lived in a small grayish blue house. It had a tiny gated backyard but you usually just took Jo to the park anyways. It was enough for the two of you. You moved in last year after accepting the job at Georgetown.

You unbuckled Jo and unlocked the front door with Spencer awkwardly standing behind you until he felt a tug on his sleeve.

“I want to show you my room,” Jo said.

“Sure! I would love to see it,” Spencer replied as he was tugged by Jo up the stairs.

Spencer laughed when he saw Jo’s bedroom. It was decked out in everything dinosaur. Dinosaur wallpaper, bed sheets, toys, and a carpet.

“You really love dinos, don’t you?” Spencer smiled.

Jo nodded, beaming as she seemed to be very proud of her room.

“Jo, I’ve got a snack for you,” Y/N called out from downstairs.

The little kid lit up even more and ran down the stairs, leaving Spencer alone in the room. He saw a small little bookshelf with picture books, mostly about dinosaurs. It was nice to know his daughter shared his love of reading.

“You have a lovely home,” Spencer complimented as he entered the kitchen.

“Thank you, I don’t know if you want some apple slices and peanut butter too. I would offer you something else but I haven’t had time to go grocery shopping this week,” you explained.

“It’s all good. If you ever need help-” Spencer began.

“We’re quite alright,” you snapped.

A silence fell over the room, even Jo picked up on it and stopped the loud chewing of her apple.

“I’m sorry,” you sigh, patting the top of Jo’s head to tell her she could continue eating, “We’ve been on our own for so long that I can sometimes get a little defensive when someone suggests I can’t handle it.”

“I wasn’t suggesting that at all. I think you have done a wonderful job raising Josephine. But, I also had a single mom so I know that sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day,” he replied.

“Thank you,” is all you said.

Spencer glanced at his watch, “I should get going. My hour is up. If it’s okay with you, I would love to come over again sometime,” Spencer said.

“Leave your number and I’ll text you,” you replied, handing him a scrap piece of paper and a pen.

“Bye Josephine!” Spencer smiled at the kid who had peanut butter smeared all over her face.

“Ew, Jo! Did you get any in your mouth?” you laughed.

“Bye Spencer!” she attempted to wave to him as you were wiping her face and hands with a damp paper towel.

Means I love you in dinosaur

Ach, there was a recent one where the punchline was “dinosyaur” and the pronunciation was yassified somehow, but really that one is a bit more of a sonic joke than one that translates to script~

SO ANYWAYS, rump-thump-rumbling to a makeup tower near you : Profusion Cosmetics x Jurassic World makeup, whoo

I ended up buying this online when they restocked, so I’m a little invested in enjoying this, HOWEVER, there are some hard truths to this palette. Such as the width. Just… as big as their inspo I guess.

There’s an approachable mix of neutral & “wearable” color shades with a few shimmer and satin shades organized in an equally beginner-friendly medley of color stories within the larger ecosystem of color stories *chuckle, chortle*

I am on a bit of a mini mission to identify and create looks based off such mini-color-stories, for example based off above :

1) Greens - Brachiosaurus, Paleontologist, Stegosaurus, Clever Girl, and Proximity Alert (which, I already have some thoughts on Paleo & Clever Girl 😑 tut-tut);

2) Reds - Dino Trail, Road, Warning, Run, T-Rex

3) Cools - Hide, High Voltage, Isla Nublar, Hybrid Clash, Security Clearance

(Deep, dark apologies for the visual aides, as they were)

But then yeah, working from there to less-obvious color mixes like Pteranodon, Velociraptor, Hide etc.

As for today, on a day where I had the time in the morning yet no real occasion to wear celebratory and fun colors but decided to in order to match the Mold Me Close You FunGuy fit, I did a yellow->vermillion->warm neutral crease, orange glitter, red outer-v shimmer, champagne inner-third shimmer, cool midtone green and blue mix for a midtone teal for the lower lash line! I ended blending out the warm shades up too with a bone/cream matte shade, and they are :

Crease | Pteranodon, Warning, Proximity Alert

Blended with | Lookout Point

Glitter | Ready For Battle (just had to very meticulously dab at the flecks of orange mixed in with purple & black glitter flecks, but it seems to have worked out!)

Outer, Inner| Run, Scared Yet?

Lower Lash | Triceratops, Mosasaurus

So to circle back to those Paleontologist-Clever Girl thoughts — they’re largely the same shade with different finishes, Paleo being the more shimmer shade and the latter being more satin I guess. I had tried to use one, then the other to include on the lower inner-third so that the bottom lid could say it had any balance to the top lid, but 8+ hours and at least a couple naps later, it seems like they didn’t survive, haha

Unfortunately, more egregious an error than that, was the cute little pistachio-mint matte shade called Preserve.

I had tried to use it to blend out the midtone teal I made, but as another beauty creator had put it, it “blended away to nothing.”

Gladly, I personally have other palettes and at least 1 MAC shade which could compensate for that one shade, but I was also blending it over concealer, namely e.l.f Hydrating Camo Concealer Satin Finish in Fair Rose, for whatever difference that makes?

On another day, I will definitely put it to the ringer; no sneaky lipsyncing singer hiding in the choir!

On the eve of this one though, my own hunt through tall grass slowly picking off a troop of paid poachers in thrillingly dramatic fashion begins~

For $20, sure, it’s very useable so far; a lighter yellow actually shows up and actually stays on the lid; glitters seem to stay exactly put - 6/10
