while Mineru's send off is a sweet way of ending totk, I think there should've been an ending similar to Skyward Sword - where Link finds Zelda overlooking Hyrule (or I guess Lookout Landing specifically), and she looks conflicted. Once she notices Link she thanks him again for everything and they sit around in their silence. Zelda then opens up about her time in the past, of how she saw Hyrule being established, the first royal family rule over the land, and the war that followed it. She realized that while the kingdom seemed strong and the people seemed happy, she decided that she doesn't want that for her current land now. She tells him that she now is secure in her decision to not make the same mistakes as her own father, or Rauru has done when ruling over the land. She just wants to help her people - but as equals. I think that would be a good way to show where the story will be in the future - and how Zelda (and Link cause lets be real that man is not leaving her especially after the dragon thing) will spend the rest of her life.
#zelda does not establish the monarchy#i say this to the wall#totk#i keep thinking how sad i was at the end of totk? it didn't necessarily itch...the itch i was looking for#then again neither did botw#bUT AT THE SAME TIME#Like...i was more satisfied in how zelda's character was tied in botw#than i was in totk#cause after totk i was like.....so........#is she a queen???? does she rebuild the kingdom#personally i think no because the fact that she said “together” or something at the end#but others read it as yes she reestablishes it#AND THE FUCKING INTERVIEW you know what i'm talking about#anyways#thats why i'm so!!1 ugh about the future of zelda games and how devs were like “we want players to build their own story”#NO!!! no then we're gonna have this mess and a lack of character building!!#zelda#AND ANOTHER THING i just straight up didn't care about Mineru enough to ...care about that ending

A fifth exile, sleeping for centuries in the belly of the ruins, far beneath the desecrated idol once sharing its visage with the legendary SPEAKER OF THE VAST CROAK.
We’ve got another Vast Thing, to accompany Gl'bgolyb’s Glub and Aradia's Joke.
I'm a little nervous about the parallel being drawn here between Gl'bgolyb and Bilious Slick. If Sburb's Frog God turns out to have been a Horrorterror all along, it would certainly be fitting, but it definitely wouldn't be good.
Soon the WRIT KEEPER will awaken and serve his new queen.
Fair enough. It makes sense that the Queen would want to save her husband if the opportunity were to present itself.
It is a little fucked that he's the only one who was preserved, though. He shared space with Dave’s beta, so the device can clearly accommodate multiple payloads. For all we know, they could have evacuated half of Prospit through here!
The King has become the Writ Keeper, which makes me think that Complacency might be more than just a teen's first novel.
I think it’s time to take another look at Rose's magnum opus.
COTL is a story about twelve wizards, who suspect that their twelve apprentices are responsible for murder.
In contrast, Homestuck is a story about twelve rather murderous trolls, who are following in the footsteps of their twelve ancestors. So, you see, it's different.
Nah, but seriously, I'm fairly confident that these wizards are supposed to represent the ancestors and Players of the troll session. Zazzerpan even refers to the apprentices as the Complacency's 'grand descendence', which is almost comically on the nose.
But what does it mean? I doubt Rose is intentionally weaving these parallels - it's probably just a manifestation of her latent Seer powers.
In the story, Zazzerpan's cohort are horrified by the possibility that their apprentices are killers. Does this imply that the troll ancestors are less violent and dangerous than the modern Alternians? But if the ancestors were peaceful, I don't think Eridan would respect them the way he does. Hmm.
She would like clarification on the nature of the work, which you are happy to provide. You explain that it is very simple. As the new queen, she will be charged with bringing the slayer to justice, and rebuilding her kingdom in a new land.
The latter is standard practice for Sburban Exiles, and should be well within their capabilities. That said, it would be just as achievable if they were being led by WQ, so I’m not sure why PM needs to bear the crown instead.
If PM is 'bringing the Slayer to justice', she'll probably be confronting Jack directly. This means she's going to be travelling back into sessionspace, presumably quipped with the one weapon capable of matching Noir’s.

mini tarot reading Kate middelton 15 october
Thank you for your likes and your words for my last post. I had planned to do this draw before the news this morning, I gave myself the day to digest. I wanted to see Catherine's energy, I notice that they are taking up the files that have impacted the United Kingdom. For me, there is a change in communication strategy. Interesting for several months, I asked my cards how Kate Middleton is doing, today I spoke to my cards like this: Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales. As if, she was starting to get back into her envelope.
We start with the oracle of energies: we start with beautiful energies, the opening of personal healing and abundance in bloom + action. We can see that she is well on the way to healing and that she is ready to take action even if there may be shadows following her. I have two chakras, crown chakra and 3rd chakra: she wants to connect to her deepest desires and use her life force. But I am told to rest and stay in a comfort zone. She wants to reconnect but she does not want to venture down other paths. I am told about a choice of heart to make here, in connection with her status because things seem to stagnate. There is a reflection on her evolution in the brf, she thinks, she inquires.
I asked her link with the BRF, the energy is currently scarce, she feels stuck in this situation, she is aware of that. I hear, it is as if I had to start all over again. The crown has the last word.
with the tarots: we start with the 3 batons, the will to build (or rebuild) its base. There is a king of swords so either a person or an important and thoughtful decision has been postponed.
With the moon card, we hope for something, an opening.
Catherine returns as queen of coins with the jack card, it is the beginning of a project or a desire to get out of something with the reversed hanged man card. We talk about doing things by ourselves. We provide concrete solutions to balance finances.
We talk about victory.
I asked for Catherine and the state dinner: we start with the queen of swords: someone mature makes the decision to move forward step by step and to develop their project.
we tell Catherine with the 6 of swords and the 4 of cups to take a step back from the unpleasant events she sometimes goes through. to use this moment to restore her reputation and status.
For this part, I could be wrong because anything is possible

i keep thinking about tadius and ella's dynamic, it's SO compelling to me (as long as it stays platonic i'mma be honest)
tadius who has clearly dedicated his life to servign a royal family he had deep contempt for, a bumbling prince and an incompetent king he clearly despised, he has been the stereotypical servant vying for the power this entire time
ella doesn't want power, she wants revenge, and then..? she says herself she hadn't even considered the rest of her life after the revenge, and then she becomes queen of the entire land, she rewards her friends and honours those she lost, and now she has to rule over a kingdom that has shunned her for half her life
it's so so interesting to think of how their rule together would go, they clearly respect and see eachother as equals, would ella refuse tadius something he has been longing for his entire life, when she knows the pain of living under someone's shadow? would tadius cast ella away as he did the king, when he sees the power and honour she brings to her new life?
would they rule together as friends? would tadius stay as a servant or would ella grant him power? would ella even want to stay queen or does she long to go back home and rebuild her house from the ashes? will they develop that wonderful ruler and servant relationship (that i go INSANE for in media), or will they split apart? i need to know so much more about them STAT

Part Three of the Catboy in the Village AU
Part One | Part Two
-
Cellbit has been in and out of several prisons in his life. He's no stranger to captivity, he knows how it works. He knows how the system works, and he's not expecting the queen to be any better than any of his previous wardens.
...Still. It's kind of nice to be given a cell with an actual bed in it. With bedsheets- silk, probably, they're soft. And a rug on the marble floor to keep the chill away. And bookshelves. With books in them. Interesting-looking books, too: mysteries, judging by the titles, and ones he didn't have access to back home due to Gato Kingdom customs laws.
But, like. Fuck the queen. She kidnapped him and his husband, she's currently working on kidnapping their children, and she doesn't seem keen to give Cellbit and Roier any chance to escape.
The cell- a bedroom, Roier had called it, but, really, it's a cell- doesn't have any windows. The door is unlocked, but there are two guards outside who are apparently supposed to follow Cellbit and-slash-or Roier wherever they go.
There are clothes in the wardrobe that are clearly recycled from some other member of Gato royalty. They're all finer than anything Cellbit has ever known, and he thinks he'd rather die than wear them.
Roier, though? He's not happy about being kidnapped, and he's even less happy about not having anything to protect himself and Cellbit with, but he seems happy enough about the 'lost prince' treatment that Cellbit's getting.
"When we escape, we're bringing the clothes with us," Roier decides on night two of their forced stay in the castle.
They're in bed, Roier wrapped protectively around Cellbit's back and holding him so tightly that Cellbit's ribs hurt. It's close to midnight, but neither of them can sleep, because how can they sleep when their kids are an entire kingdom away?
Cellbit quietly laughs. "Yeah? How?"
"You'll carry them."
"Oh, will I?"
"Yes, obviously. I have to have my arms free for fighting."
Roier's breath ghosts over the back of Cellbit's neck. It's warm, and Roier is warm, and the blankets are warm, and it all feels so cozy and yet so wrong. The bed is too nice. The bed is too big. The room is too big. Roier's clothes are too soft. It's too quiet, where is all the noise?
The entire time that Cellbit has been in the castle, these past two days, he has seen a handful of people: a few guards, a total of two servants, and, of course, the queen. But she's been too busy trying to rebuild her kingdom to bother with the men she's had kidnapped, and Cellbit hasn't seen much of her outside of the meals he and Roier are dragged to twice a day.
The queen is... interesting. She's a total piece of shit and Cellbit kind of hates her more than he can describe, but she refuses to be addressed by any of the usual titles; she keeps correcting her knights when they call her anything but 'Bagi', and she looks two seconds away from murder every time Cellbit calls her 'your highness'. She seems to actually care about her kingdom, which is a marked difference from her parents, and she spends all day locked in her study in the tallest of the castle's towers working on... queen stuff. Whatever it is she does, Cellbit doesn't know. He isn't royalty, he's an alchemist. This is all foreign to him.
"Who says we need to fight?" Cellbit asks. "Maybe they'll just... let us go when they figure out they've got the wrong Cellbit."
"Mm, maybe. Or, hear me out, I knock out a guard, steal their sword, and then I carry you out of here. Easy."
Cellbit imagines it. He smiles as his imaginary Roier spontaneously becomes shirtless mid-escape.
He snuggles back into his real shirtless husband's chest with a happy little trill. His trill becomes a proper purr as one of Roier's hands trails up and into Cellbit's hair, landing at the base of his ears and scratching lightly. His eyes slip shut, and his back arches, and he loves his husband so much! He's so sweet even when he's the victim of a kidnapping, he's literally the perfect man.
"Aww, gatinho," Roier coos. "You are the prince... of my heart."
Gods, that's cheesy.
Cellbit loves him.
"That... doesn't even make... sense..." Cellbit murmurs, voice obscured by his purring.
Roier sighs dramatically: "Fine, you're the king of my heart. Better?"
"Mmmmmmmm."
Roier chuckles fondly. "Mhmm, I see, yes, yes."
Cellbit bats a hand in the vague direction of Roier's face. He doesn't make contact, but that's fine. He'd rather die than hurt Roier, even playfully.
A kiss plants itself between Cellbit's ears. He melts, all thoughts evaporating outside of warm and Roier. Warmoier...
(The room doesn't have a window, so neither of them see the faint green light surrounding the castle.)
He's jerked back into his body as the entire castle shakes and rattles to the point of books falling off of their shelves. He's nearly tossed out of bed, only staying in bed thanks to Roier.
Cellbit immediately tries sitting up, but Roier pulls him back down with a hissed, "Be careful!"
"We'll be safer on the floor," Cellbit huffs. "Come on."
He drags Roier off of the bed and, together, they huddle beneath it clinging to each other.
"This sucks," Roier complains. He grips Cellbit's arm tightly, definitely not worried about the literal earthquake they're stuck in the middle of. "We just got comfortable!"
"We can get comfortable again," Cellbit assures him.
He feels it before he hears it. His entire body recoils upon instinct, his ears pressing down against his head just as an otherworldly wail echoes up from somewhere and burrows into his very bones.
"Are you sure?" Roier asks, wide-eyed. "What the fuck? Is this place haunted?"
The wailing continues. Roier has to let go of Cellbit so he can clap his hands over his ears. Cellbit covers his own ears, but it doesn't stop the chill in his bones, and it doesn't make the sick feeling growing in his stomach go away.
"I hope it is!" Cellbit replies, his voice near a shout from how loud the wailing is. "At least it would be interesting!"
Roier rolls his eyes. "Oh, at least!"
And then, just like that, the shaking stops. The wail cuts itself off with a sob, and then it's gone.
Cellbit looks at Roier. Roier looks at Cellbit.
Slowly, Cellbit lowers his hands from his ears, though his ears don't perk back up.
"You know," he says, "I don't think the queen told us everything when she kidnapped us."
"No shit," Roier grumbles. He moves his hands from his ears to Cellbit's hands, linking their fingers together; their hands are shaking from the adrenaline, but they seem to stabilize as soon as they're holding each other.
"I bet she doesn't even think I'm the prince," Cellbit continues. He looks down at his and Roier's joined hands. "I bet we're some kind of sacrifice to whatever spirit is haunting this castle."
"That's ridiculous," Roier scoffs. "I wouldn't be a sacrifice. You, yes, but me?"
He laughs as Cellbit untangles his fingers from Roier's and crawls out from under the bed. As he does so, Roier calls out to him and grabs his ankle and tries pulling him back under. Cellbit kicks at him, and Roier bites Cellbit's ankle, and Cellbit uses his leg to pull Roier out from under the bed, and they end up pressed against each other on the rug surrounded by fallen books laughing.
Roier, on top for the moment, leans down to kiss Cellbit.
That, of course, is when their cell's door slams open and the guards stationed outside come running in with alarmed expressions on their faces.
Cellbit groans and shoots the guards a dirty look.
"Do you mind?" he snaps.
At least the guards have the decency to look ashamed as they take in Cellbit and Roier's... position.
Roier huffs out a sigh and collapses onto Cellbit's chest, laying his head on its side on Cellbit's chest so he can glare at the guards properly.
"Can we help you?" Roier asks.
"Um," says one guard, clearly blushing and absolutely mortified. "Sorry. The prince has been requested in the queen's study. Uh. Sorry. We'll just..."
She and her fellow guard awkwardly bow, and then they start slowly backing out of the cell.
They aren't alarmed by the scattered books, Cellbit notices. No mention of the earthquake or the wailing, either. This is normal, then.
Hm.
Cellbit feigns a yawn. "Well, tell her majesty that both me and my husband would like to sleep after whatever the hell that was that woke us up. Whatever it is, it can wait until the morning."
The guards freeze. They go pale, look at each other, look back to Cellbit.
Roier lifts a hand and waves it dismissively towards them. "You heard the prince, go away."
Cellbit waits until the guards are gone before pushing Roier off of him and shooting him a halfhearted glare.
"'You heard the prince'?" he asks. "Really?"
Roier shrugs innocently. "It got them to leave. Now, get back here."
He growls playfully before pouncing back onto Cellbit. He frames Cellbit's face with his hands, and then he kisses him roughly. And then he kisses him softer after Cellbit mumbles something against his lips about being tired and wanting to get back into bed.
"You're so weak," Roier teases, lips moving against Cellbit's as he speaks.
"I'm weak... for you."
Cellbit laughs as Roier groans and tears himself away to go mope his way back into the bed. He's soon to follow, and he's immediately snatched back into Roier's arms and held captive once again.
This castle may be a very nice prison, but there's no better one than Roier's arms. It is simply the best, and Cellbit should know; it's the only prison he's never tried to escape from.

I cant get over how PRETTY ascended GC looks. Her eyes are super shiny, her hair is extra fluffy , the tailcoats like a pheonix, Im losing my MIND
She is STUNNING. She is a QUEEN. Burning Spice could NEVER. He doesn't deserve her and neither does anyone else. She slays just by being there. Can't wait to see her regain her power and dignity and kick that meathead's big, buff, sorry ass. I've been waiting for this day since episode 5 dropped. Golden Cheese is That Girl, I want nothing but the best for her, I want her to win that rematch and win at life and rebuild her kingdom and conquer the damn world.
(Also, I predicted that she would resemble the bennu bird, which is basically the Egyptian phoenix. It's a blue and grey heron, and there's a good bit of blue in her look... I see this as an absolute win lol)

since i’m actually thinking about it today, i’m gonna talk about my very not-canon-compliant fake Mario & Luigi fangame
LINK TO THE CARRD WITH MORE INFO AND ART!!!
it’s viewed better on pc but im not stopping you
yea i know what you’re thinking and i PROMISE THERE IS A REASON FOR MAGICALLY BRINGING BACK ALL OF THE VILLAINS (it’s also because i miss them but there is a legit reason)
here’s where it gets long, so if you hate reading:
TL;DR, Alien kingdom is destroyed except for the king (King Galivus), his daughter (Princess Europa) and the royal advisor (Obriel). Galivus is separated from the two and doesn’t actually know they’re alive. The king speedruns thru like 4 stages of grief but he can’t accept this so he wants to rebuild his entire kingdom DIRECTLY on top of the Mushroom Kingdom.
oh and he’s only there in the first place because to rebuild his kingdom he needs dark energy and magic which he gets from reanimating the previous m&l villains since their souls are a potent source of dark magic. he promises them a new and better world (and a second chance at fighting the Mario Bros.) but in the end he’s only going to use them for their power to get back his family and his subjects and then discard them
bowser is the only one that isnt coerced into king galivus’ bullshit so he the bros team up with the princess of voidspell to stop her dad from destroying the world yadda yadda
yeah, that was the tldr now get ready for the big guns (longer and more detailed version)
King Galivus (new guy beside Fawful in the image) was once the noble king of a distant kingdom out in space, the Voidspell Kingdom. That is, until it was destroyed by a rogue Starswallower; colossal space wyrms closely related to Blarggs that are thought of as deities across the galaxy. Galivus was thought to be the only survivor, and so he reluctantly fled through a portal before he could be caught in the falling debris. This coincidentally led him all the way across space to— you guessed it— the Mushroom Kingdom.
Before he arrived, Galivus rashly decided that he would bring back his fallen kingdom at any cost. For that, he would need a tremendous amount of dark energy. Which is why he headed directly to the Mushroom Kingdom— he had picked up on such a powerful energy signal, and a dark one at that. It was clear, this was the place to rebuild. The energy signal is actually remnants of Mario’s past foes, Cackletta, Fawful, The Shroob Princesses, and Antasma. Their very souls are brewing with dark energy, a perfect source of power. With all this magic combined, it would be enough to rebuild the entirety of Voidspell AND bring back Galivus’ loved ones.
So, he does the sensible thing, and uses his Twisted Staff to revive each villain. Some are reluctant to go along with his scheme, and others are ecstatic to be alive/in working order again and will gladly go along with Galivus’ plan. In exchange for their cooperation, he promises a nice little spot for them in his new world… and another chance at exacting their revenge on the Mario Bros.
What Galivus wasn’t aware of, was that there were two other survivors; the royal advisor and the princess of Voidspell, Galivus’ own daughter. They had escaped to the Mushroom Kingdom in a separate portal, out of Galivus’ reach. The queen and the rest of the castle’s inhabitants had been lost, but with Princess Europa alive, there was a chance at bringing Galivus back down to earth and stopping his selfish acts. She and the royal advisor, Obriel, seek out Mario and Luigi to help stop Galivus from destroying the Mushroom kingdom, its neighboring countries, and possibly the entire planet.
Also, Queen Jaydes certainly isn’t happy about Cackletta (and the rest of the villains, but mostly her cuz she’s died like two times now) being let off the hook so easily. Her and the bean witch definitely still have beef with each other.
There’s probably a lot that I missed or haven’t written down yet, but that’s most of it!! If you’ve taken the time to read all that, i love you <3 HAHAHA

Lizzie is the ruler of Coral Crest.
She took over as queen around the same time that Gem became Wintertide's royal commander, so she has not been in power for very long. She never wanted to be the queen. She had been dreading it for as long as she had lived. Unfortunately, she had no choice but to take over when the previous ruler met their end in the war, for there were no other heirs to take her place.
She was young, but she was by no means inexperienced. She had been watching and learning how to rule a kingdom since she was a small child; she had been more than prepared to take on the job. It was a very sudden and abrupt take over, but she handled it with tremendous grace and efficacy. She immediately put a pause on the fighting and negotiated (with Gem!) for a temporary truce.
She put a great amount of effort into rebuilding and securing her kingdom in the aftermath, as well. She is a cold and practical ruler, but she is not unkind. She does well to make sure all of the citizens in her massive kingdom are well taken care off. The kingdom is perhaps even more well off than before the war.
Lizzie hates Wintertide. Not only did it wage war on her kingdom and force her into a position she never wanted, but she believes Ren to be cruel, and there is something wrong with the land on a deeper level that she can't quite put her finger on. She doesn't want any more bloodshed than necessary, hence why she called an end to the fighting those years ago, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to see the king brought down to his knees and his people freed of his reign.
When word gets to her about a resistance brewing within Wintertide's borders, well, lets just say she is more than interested...
#ldshadowlady#lizzie ldshadowlady#life series#GG rivals au#oooo lizzie enters the ring!#joel is up next!#i wanted to get more into her past and backstory but it honestly will not be plot relevant and would only be brought up in passing#by joel because he talks about her past once in only a few short and vague words#and I don't think anyone would be interested in hearing about it unfortunately

No shade at Devsis (for this, specifically) but seriously there are a lot of characters in this game who are a) female, b) have a relationship with another woman that is VERY easy to interpret as queer, and c) are deeply traumatized. Don't get me wrong I love 5/6 of these character's episodes (I only dislike Ice Queen's because Icicle Yetti's voice got really grating on me very quickly) but is everything good at Devsis?
(explanations for my non-cookie run moots under the cut. Cookie Run lore is wild, y'all.)
from top to bottom, left to right.
Frost Queen is a god of frost who froze to death in the arms of her 'best friend' in a past life. She goes on to use blizzards to balance out life and death. (I think. I watched a breakdown and some cutscenes. in order to get this information you have to play an hour with the most annoying cookie available)(I do not like Icicle Yeti)
Moonlight Cookie was created to observe the dreams of mortals/watch over the city of wizards. She has a close relationship with the god of the ocean but can't leave the city to kiss her girl. Eventually, all the wizards leave the city and Moonlight is left to watch over it on her own.
Black Pearl Cookie was a gem mermaid who had a close relationship with a 'maid', Frilled Jellyfish Cookie (second from the right on the bottom row). She is bisexual however, and falls for the worst possible man after running away from home because she didn't get magic powers during the sea magic ceremony thing. The dude steals her kingdom's magic pearl (or maybe he gives it to her? I don't remember the specifics) which starts a war and kinda just fucks everything up. Black Pearl goes to Sea Fairy for help, but Sea Fairy starts a space program instead of helping so Black Pearl turns emo. Also, Frilled Jellyfish dies due to the war. (I said Cookie Run lore was wild)
Sea Fairy Cookie is really down bad for Moonlight Cookie and (unintentionally) makes it everyone's problem. She ignores the sea cookies while they are actively fucking dying and sorta just sits around for the entire plot. She is one of my favorite characters. Like go off girl make your lesbian pining an actual threat to everyone's safety.
Frilled Jellyfish Cookie has been mentioned already but she's just the sweetest little thing. She just wants to see BP happy, man. She does everything in her power to try to console BP and it just gets her killed in the end. Her dying words are her telling BP to leave her and get to safety, and that she will be fine. BP should have just kissed the jellyfish girl why'd she have to fuck around with Oyster :(
Golden Cheese Cookie. She's my favorite character. So for the sapphic part, she's weirdly flirty with Black Rasine Cookie (another desert-themed cookie with bird motifs) and I'm team 'the ancient heroes were poly' so if you ask me she was smooching White Lily and Hollyberry at some point in the past. For the tragic part, here's one of the wildest backstories this game has! Basically, GCC founded and ruled the Golden Cheese Kingdom, which I'm gonna call Cheeseypt because that's what it is. Cheeseypt is a relatively secluded kingdom, mostly interacting with the wider world through trading. At one point, Golden Cheese leaves her kingdom to fight in the Dark Flour War alongside the other Ancient Heros. What happens while she's out? Dark ENchantress (who happens to be GC's ex-close-friend) FUCKING NUKES ALL OF CHEESEYPT. Not even a 'oh they had to flee and they are still rebuilding :(' no ALL OF GOLDEN CHEESE'S FRIENDS ARE DEAD. Consumed by grief, because you know, everyone she loves is dead, GC buries them all under the kingdom and connects their souls to a digital city before entombing herself with them. She tunes the digital city so that everyone's wishes are granted, and all her citizens live lives of comfort and wealth because, for as much as she values her gold, her real treasure is her friends.
I would stop it here but the way the game ends GC's ark is also just fucking insane? so one of her close friends betrays her (for good reason tbh) and destabilizes the entire city. Faced with leaving everyone she loves behind, GC breaks down because there's nothing for her in the real world. Black Raisen cookie comforts her but explains that this eternal dream is going to end someday anyway. So what does GC do? She explains to her citizens that it'll feel like falling asleep, and shuts down digital Cheeseypt. The characters we met in Cheeseypt don't come back, by the way. There's no loophole. They are just possibly dead for real. (or definitely dead in Burnt and Cheesenburg's cases.)
#cookie run kingdom#cookie run comic creator#cookie run#sea fairy cookie#golden cheese cookie#black pearl cookie#moonlight cookie#frost queen cookie#frilled jellyfish cookie#cookie run fans might get enjoyment out of the extended text of me trying to summarize three of the wildest arks in cookie run

Details I noticed in Nimona pt 5
It was mentioned in this post on Instagram that Nimona was there in the crowd before the knighting ceremony. A person blocks her from view for a second and she emerges on the other side as a rat
In the video clip the news anchors play of baby Ballister hopping the fence, the Queen is there. She's sitting in a booth on the bottom right of the screen so she's slightly blocked by the crowd watching the news but she sits forward as Ballister runs in. The Director is in the upper right as she leads the class
During Ambrosius' introduction, there's a clip of him taking a selfie with a kid in the Glorodome. There are two men wearing red coats behind them who hug/lean into each other in a very couple-y pose. Are gay relationships ok here?
Ballister smiles when Ambrosius calls him "thinky face." At this point he hasn't even looked at him yet but Ambs can still make him smile
The knighting ceremony must have been done in alphabetical order by first name because that's the only way you would get Ambrosius and then Ballister right after each other
Ballister is definitely bleeding after the jumbotron falls. It looks like dirt in the shadows but he's got a huge scrape on his forehead that is red in the light
There's a reflective piece of glass or metal right by Ballister's work bench. You can see his reflection in it as he makes his arm and then Nimona's reflection as she sits in the chair, playing with the knife
The papers Nimona drew her "resume" on have the Institute logo on them. Somehow she got ahold of Institute letter paper lol
Everyone likes to talk about the symbolism of the eye highlights so here's something interesting. In the scene where Nimona declares herself his sidekick, Ballister's eye highlights are the same shape as hers. His highlights go back to squares in the next scene
A nice bit of character acting- Ballister holds his wounded shoulder as the knights shove him in the holding cell
I know people have already pointed out that you can see Nimona as a rat as the Director leaves his cell but there are also normal rats and you can hear them squeaking
Ballister's prosthetic has a ball at the top of it that mimics the ball and socket joint of the shoulder. That means that it would need something to attach to. He’s probably got a metal bit on his torso that the ball has to go into to be able to have the full mobility of a shoulder. Meaning… Ambrosius took off his arm and a chunk of his torso
As they’re walking past all the knights Nimona beat up during the jailbreak and she says “They were like this when I got here,” there’s a knight stuffed inside the vending machine and a sword sticking out of the filing cabinet
When Nimona’s cooking the mushrooms for the breakfast tacos, she breathes fire on them but her back is to the camera so that ability is still a surprise to the viewer later. You can tell it's her though because her fire is orange and the fire from the stove is blue
When Ballister takes the arrow out of Nimona's leg, she's sitting on an old car seat(?) and he's kneeling on the ground next to her with one leg up. He's got her injured leg resting across his knee. Idk maybe ppl already knew that but I always thought he was sitting on the seat next to her
The knight that Nimona points to when she says, "He just peed his armor, he peed his armor!" is the otter knight with the cast on his arm (rip that guy lol)
The Institute has a motto that's four words in Latin. It's on the Insitute's logo but is most visible when the Director does press conferences. It reads, "Trad?m?? Securitas ???????? ???????" (The bottom two words get cut off by the podium) I'm pretty sure it translates to "Keeping our way of life safe" which is the tagline on the picture of the Director Ballister has on his murder wall
After the Kingdom rebuilds, there's a shot of hover cars going in and out of the wall. On the wall, they've laid the stones to make a phoenix pattern
When Ballister hangs up Nimona's headphones when he's cleaning up the tower, her sunglasses are hung above them
pt one, pt two, pt three, pt four

me ranting about what i need to see in season 3
(yeah, it's pretty long)
The important/plot twists/character development
Iris and Praxina being the focal points of the season
Remember, Praxina was created to be an anti-Iris, so there’s no better season than this one to explore that.
Main conflict: Praxina is convinced Iris is responsible for Mephisto’s death (Iris didn’t kill Mephisto, it was a culmination of events that led to it, but Praxina needs a scapegoat, someone to dump her anger and grief on, because she can’t cope with loss in a healthy, non-destructive way). So, she is set on making Iris lose the people she cares about (Nathaniel, and also probably her friends), to make her feel the way she does.
The vision I have for these two in season 3 is that their actions will be correlated, each making the other do unspeakable things over accumulated resentment and hurt and grief, in a vicious cycle. Then somewhat meet in the middle at the end. Maybe…
Iris becoming more and more paranoid
Iris getting nervous everytime she sees a butterfly, for example. Very worried that she’s going to lose Nathaniel, her friends, her parents, or Ellira, at any moment. Makes her sometimes not be very rational.
Maybe it will affect her relationship with Nathaniel too. Maybe she’ll think that in order to keep him safe from Praxina, she has to distance herself from him.
BECAUSE I WANT THIS GIRL TO GET SOME ARC TOO. Allow her to be angry, do questionable things, be flawed, be scared.
Guilt over Mephisto’s death
This one is for both Iris and Praxina.
Because while Iris doesn’t have much to do with Mephisto’s death, I don’t doubt that part of her will start doubting it, wondering if everything that’s happening is, in fact, her fault.
And Praxina, who didn’t appreciate her brother while he was right there next to her, finally realizing how much she actually needed him. You know what they say, you only truly appreciate someone after you lose them. AND THE GUILT-
More interactions between Iris and her parents
I just really really want this. And to learn more about the King and Queen of Ephedia. Because it has so much potential for added inner conflict inside Iris’ head.
Because if you really think about it, the King and Queen of Ephedia are just strangers to her, who just so happened to be her birth parents. But weren’t the ones who raised her, who were there for her her whole life. Ellira was.
Not that it’s their fault. Not at all. They made a sacrifice to keep her safe. I know they would’ve done anything to see their little girl grow up. And Iris knows this, and I think, for a while, she’s going to feel a bit guilty for seeing Ellira as more of a parental figure than them.
Also, I feel like Iris’ parents would never resent Ellira for this, but I do think they will be a little hurt.
Iris attempting and failing to balance her Earth life with her Ephidean one
Because she will definitely be going back and forth between the two worlds, trying to keep everything balanced. Her social life with her friends on Earth, her relationship with Nathaniel, the band, her princess duties, the rebuilding of Ephedia, royal ceremonies, etc…
And if she had trouble before, I can’t imagine now.
Iris not being sure if she wants to become the future queen of Ephidea
Let’s face it. It was all really pretty and fun while they had the goal to defeat Gramorr and free Ephidea. No need to think about what would happen next, because even that was a big “if”.
Now, Iris is finally gonna have to come to terms with the fact that she is THE future heir to the throne, But is she even fit to lead a whole kingdom? Does she even want to? Won’t that mean she’ll have to leave her Earth life behind? Nathaniel?
The King and Queen not approving of Iris’ relationship with Nathaniel
Not because they dislike him, or simply because he is human (they don’t seem like that kind of people), but because they want to protect their daughter from getting hurt. Not from him. But from having to inevitably let him go eventually. Again, she is the future queen. She has responsibilities on Ephidea, not on Earth.
Also, there’s this whole question line of “do ephideans live longer than earthlings?”. Because I feel like that's also relevant to this point.
Praxina slowly descending into madness (bonus points if physical corruption)
Her madness trip should be a linear thing, getting worse and worse each episode.
More towards the end PLEASE fuck up her face a bit. Not necessarily permanently but like- I wanna see this girl with one side of her face corrupted with dark magic (we saw Gramorr underneath the mask), eyes red, going full eldritch abomination mode.
Her crying while laughing hysterically and maniacally AT LEAST ONCE please please.
Also, not to be that person, but she’s gonna be so hot that season, istg I’m not prepared.
What the fuck is up with those butterflies?????
Imma be real rn. I’m begging for the creators NOT to pull a Hawkmoth on Praxina. Let the butterflies be spies only, there’s no need for much else. If they make the butterflies mind control people, I'm gonna lose it. This isn’t miraculous 2.0.
Iris’ Shanilla form going batshit on Praxina/Big Final Battle
Because if Praxina does manage to kill someone or several people Iris loves, even if only temporarily (yall know this show is for kids, no one's dying permanently - though it would be cool to see a darker narrative), Iris is gonna lose it, and I expect a full dark shanilla mode. Going absolutely off the rails on Praxina, and then having an “oh shit, what am I doing?” moment.
Banes being shady and the true mastermind aka Final Boss
I want to see the build up to this, how he stays in Praxina’s shadow and “helps” her, making her feel like she’s in control, when she’s not.
And I fully believe Banes had his eye on her even before Gramorr was defeated. Not long before, but when there was only one gem left to complete the crown of Ephedia, and he started to suspect Gramorr’s chances at winning were slim, he definitely started to plot his next “puppet”.
Zenavion/Banes?????
Zenavion was mentioned once, but whyyyy??? My guess is that Banes is Zenavion. Or belonged to Zenavion/was his creation. But I’m leaning more towards the first one. Maybe he got himself turned into an entity of dark magic after years of meddling with power he shouldn’t have, leaving him stuck in that feline form with only a fraction of the power he once had? Sounds super interesting and would make for a great Final Boss.
What is his goal? Maybe to return to his full power and autonomy? Maybe he needed the power of the crown of Ephedia for that.
That would explain why he picked Gramorr, who was in the same circles as the royal family, at the time.
Also Praxina blaming Iris, the princess of Ephedia, and future heir to the throne, for her brother’s death, and blaming her for it? Also very convenient that she was a young girl who had just lost her only support, and was completely alone and vulnerable. Easy to manipulate.
Gramorr’s backstory
I need it. For someone who was the main villain for two whole seasons, he sure got no depth at all. Which was kinda disappointing. Hope this season clears everything up.
Perhaps Banes manipulated him and he never realized it? What were his initial motivations? His past? Also what was the deal with him and the royal family? With Morgane? I bet all those people have a lot to say and explain about him.
The mask
I’m sure Zenavion created it, centuries ago. I want to know how it works, how much it controls the user, how fast it corrupts them, why it was created in the first place, and how it ended up in Gramorr’s hands in the first place.
Also wouldn’t it be so cool if the current user of the mask had access to the memories of the previous users??? That way we could get Gramorr’s backstory through Praxina, like YES.
The yellow gem thingie????
The gem in Gramorr’s hand that was pierced by Iris in the finale, is now on Praxina’s chest. Do with that information what you will.
Big Betrayal moment between Banes and Praxina
Gramorr/Praxina parallels
Cause it’s inevitably gonna happen. Maybe he promises her a way to bring Mephisto back. But it’s all a ploy to get her to do horrible things for him, to allow him to return to his true form, and has nothing to do with Mephisto.
Girl is gonna be played big time.
Because now they’re kinda connected, with Praxina being manipulated by Banes the same way Gramorr probably was, in the past. And both ultimately got betrayed by him.
Praxina getting a long deserved reality-check
Because as much as I love her, she needs someone to spew some hard truths on her. It IS her fault. She IS a bad person, and a bad sister. And in order to get redeemed, she needs to confront that.
Izira’s medallion????
Anyone remember how the one object with immense power and the ability to TURN BACK TIME literally fell down a cliff during the final battle with Gramorr? Because I sure do.
And this could be a super irrelevant thing, but I do think it’s interesting that it fell in roughly the same place where Mephisto would have (hypothetically wink wink).
Don’t know what they’d do with this necessarily, but it has the potential to be a very important plot point.
Mephisto being alive (duhhhh)
As long as it’s not shown from the beginning. I feel like Praxina’s whole arc would be much more satisfactory if he was only revealed to be alive, halfway through the season or later, in the very end. Note that when I say “revealed to be alive”, I mean, to us, the people watching the show, not to Praxina. She should only know this at the end of the season. For the plot.
Mephisto donning the scars and maybe some type of disfiguration on the side of his body that took the blast. It would make sense for him to be able to teleport, but the half of his body that was leaning more towards the energy source took most of the blow).
Mephisto having his own mini character arc, away from the main conflict
He probably needs to heal from the blast, and that would be hard for him, both physically and mentally. If part of his face/body gets “burned” by the blast, my boy is definitely not gonna take it like a champ at first.
Also, I’ve said this before, but I don’t think he’d go look for Praxina immediately after he’s doing better. Not because he doesn’t care about her, or doesn’t miss her, but because he thinks she doesn’t need him and is better off without him.
Iris (finally) telling Nathaniel the truth
I’d like to see him struggle with something like this, maybe meet some new characters and form connections with other people. It’s a great opportunity for him to mature and learn who he really is, outside of Gramorr’s or his sister’s shadow. An opportunity to atone for his mistakes, and make up for it. He was, and a lot of people forget, a war criminal.
Sibling reunion
I want tears and a proper hug, and Praxina completely falling apart. Bonus points if she doesnt want to believe it's actually him at first, because that would be too good to be true. They're both fucked up, both physically and mentally, but they're together at last.
And him NOT forgetting it right afterwards.
Everything that is important but isn’t necessary for the plot
THE TWINS’ BACKSTORY
We all know this is the one thing that actually matters. And I will lose my shit when it does.
Gimme them happy flashbacks followed by the deadly pain.
And this needs to be a WHOLE episode worth of flashbacks. Like a whole flashback episode. They deserve that much.
Also who the hell is Pappy?
Mephisto’s staff!!!
Unimportant but uhh, if it’s so powerful, a lot could be done with it. And it’s probably still in the cave hideout. Praxina could get her hands on it.
Also how did he get it in the first place?
Explanation of the magic system
Worldbuilding/Ephidea lore
I want this so badly. I wanna meet more kingdoms, see how they look, what other colors represent them, the cultures, the people, etc…
I’m a sucker for this, and no one can deny that they got confused as fuck when the supposed “voice-based” powers, only actually matter in the first episode and then got dropped completely. Yeah, I know, the writers probably forgot. But please just make up a convenient connection to fill in that plot hole. This show needs to fix these damn plot holes.
Ephidea still very much being in shambles, and in need of rebuilding
Cause it can’t be that easy to put a whole planet back on track after a 15+ year old war, neither physically nor politically.
I wanna see meetings between all kingdom leaders, discussions on how to proceed, the release of war prisoners, etc…
Oh, and the imprisonment and persecution of any of Gramorr’s former associates.
Backstory on how Talia and Auriana first met
I need it. And also an explanation on why they were the ones chosen to go to Earth, and find and train Iris, and WHO chose them for that mission exactly.
Also, how did they even know Iris was on Earth? Fix these plot holes fr.
More of Auriana’s family
HELL YEAH 32 SISTERS. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, CHARACTER DESIGNERS.
No, because I really need to meet them, and see what their dynamic is like. Also more of Jodan please. And their parents.
Also, the 34 children cannot be all fully blood related, can they? CAN THEY?
What happened to Talia’s parents?
We haven’t seen them ever, so I’m assuming they’re dead.
More Izira
I just need more of her in general.
Also, she’s the heir to the throne of Xeris, and if her parents are dead, she is gonna have to fill it.
I fully expect an Izira coronation episode. Just imagine, new outfits for everyone.
The less important/cameos/things i wanna see just for funsies
New daily outfits
And I mean this in a “completely drop the old ones” kinda way. Not because I don’t like them, but because I feel that, with all that’s changing in the show, now that the same formulaic plot has finally broken, the outfits should also change. To indicate a new era of sorts.
New songs/new concert outfits, etc…
Me like it.
Talia’s ghost powers
They just dropped this plot point like; whatt????
I just want a little more light in this. Some Talia backstory as well, because we know she was bullied for it when she was a kid.
Also, I wanna meet the only other princess with this ability.
Have Talia and Praxina met before the start of the show???
It’s been pointed out several times that Praxina seems to know an awful lot about Xeris, and even possesses some Xerian artifacts and scrolls. Why and how did she get her hands on it? And it would make sense if Mephisto also seemed to know these things, but he doesn’t.
Also, they seem to have some underlying tension. Which could be simply because- well, they’re on opposite sides and hate each other?? Would be perfectly plausible. Or maybe they’ve met each other before. How and when? I wouldn’t know.
A musical episode???
Because wdym you have all these talented voice actors that sang in My Little Pony, and fucking BARBIE (don’t forget Praxina IS Barbie. They have the same voice actress), and never once have we heard ANY of them sing with their actual voices.
Also it would be so fun for a change. Please, just one, I’m begging you.
A little more of Carissa and Lyna
Hear me? A little. Not a lot.
I know a lot of people love them, and so do I, but I really don’t want them to join the gang permanently. Definitely not join the band. This ain’t winx club.
Jk, but actually I’m not.
Still, I do want to learn a bit more about them, some backstory insights, their families, how they met each other, etc…
What happened to Lev?
Is he actually dead? Or did he manage to escape and joined the resistance? I just need some confirmation.
Because if he is alive, he’s gonna be helping rebuild Ephidea for sure. It's gonna be interesting to see the dynamic he’s gonna have with Iris, in this scenario.
But just like with Lyna and Carissa, to me, personally, he is not a priority.
I would love for these characters to be explored more if there was a fourth season, but I just feel like, in season 3, there are just so many more important things to touch upon, and so many new things happening, that too many unnecessary details would make it lose impact.
A “Raffle Daffle” twins’ cameo
Just a small one. For funsies. They kinda just disappeared after that one episode (and thank god for that, because I hated them)
Kyle (blergh)
Please make him disappear. Or at least end things between them. Or end whatever there is between them. I’m not even asking for a big dramatic moment, just a “oh, this isn’t gonna work out” blah blah blah.
Or, you know, just him not showing up at all and everyone forgetting about him.

For the succession thing I would love to hear about The Ocean Empire and since i assume it’s also probably linked somehow - How Joel became King and also a Consort.
(You can’t just drop the whole “prisoner of war” line and the harem thing without explaining! I need to know what chaos these two got up to and why that came up!)
Please know that I immediately converted into a cackling cartoon villain when I saw this ask XD
So.
The Ocean Empire had a royal family, actually. Very standard bloodline succession model. Then, everything changed when the fire nation salmon army attacked.
At that point, the Ocean Empire was both entirely underwater, and a good bit further out from the mainland, they didn't really interact with the Dryland kingdoms, and hadn't in a very long time (about the same amount of time Pixlriffs has been King of Pixandria, though I'm sure that's just a coincidence and had absolutely nothing to do with the greater geopolitical events happening around that time.)
When the attack happened, a significant portion of the Oceanic ruling class was killed pretty much immediately, including the entirety of the royal family, and many of their extended relatives. But that did not leave the Oceanic throne empty (metaphorically, it was destroyed in the attack) because a bit earlier, one of the god-eggs had hatched.
Rewinding a bit; the Ocean Empire had, in their temple of the Sea God (who's name and nature were lost but who they knew they had once had) were the god-roe. a dozen or so eggs, each containing...a being. Their exact nature was unknown, whether they were demi-gods, or incarnations of the original sea gods who ruled under The Sea God and were his children, or new gods altogether, no one knew. What was known was that they were a last gift from a god who could no longer be there to protect their people. And in times of great strife and upheaval, one of them would hatch and would lead the Seafolk through the time of adversity, until all was well and they were no longer needed.
And then they would leave, vanishing into the depths and wilds of the ocean from whence they presumably came, and would be remembered by their title. (The last god egg to hatch had been several hundred years prior, The Golden Shark)
The Blue Axolotl had hatched and grown into an appearance of the equivalent of a human in their mid-teens, just in time for the fall of the Empire. And so she was placed on the throne.
(And then there were many adventures and encounters and the Empire was rebuilt and then...)
Not only did the Blue Axolotl not leave, not feeling the call as her predecessors had, the knowledge that her time was done...
another of the eggs hatched. (The only one of the eggs to have survived, though it was damaged in, the salmon attack)
(And everyone got very concerned very quickly.)
-
Joel and Lizzie's initial marriage was part of the "adventures and encounters and rebuilding" phase. the tldr; of that is that the Ocean went to war with Mezalea, Mezalea did not win, and so the treaties and negotiations after were heavily slanted in the customs and to the advantage of the Ocean Empire, and so Joel kind of got married off as equal parts war prize and trade agreement.
Obviously this ultimately worked out for them but it was a bit awkward at first. They did get to have a very sweet, very epic romance and basically Joel got promoted from "first member of harem, and probably a low-ranking one at that" to "official consort of the queen". They had a very lovely ceremony for that that was basically a coronation (and when he got his trident) and when they refer to their wedding this is usually what they are talking about.
Harems were, while not a requirement of Oceanic royalty, customary. It got brought up to Lizzie a lot in the first century or so of her marriage to Joel, before everyone got the hint.
Most people (on the Oceanic side) expect that Jimmy will eventually have one, even if he has moved out into the Cod Swamp. (Jimmy does not realize this at all)

I was rewatching Game of Thrones...
I was watching Game of Thrones with my friend, and was just reminded that the ending really had no sort of cohesive thought put into it.
Let's start with the North becoming independent.
So, the North going independent really was a dumb decision. It is assumed that winter is still going, I don't think winter would suddenly just end that fast even with the NK having been killed. The North being independent would mean that other Kingdoms would have no obligation to send them resources, food, or men when needed. Meaning if another Kingdom were to suddenly attack the North, they can't call for help from other areas to get more men, and a majority of their men were assumed to have been depleted after the war against the dead. Sansa mentions that she has no resources to feed Dany's army when they arrive (and pretended as though she didn't even know when they were coming, even though Jon had sent her a letter about it); and the glass gardens within Winterfell were likely destroyed from two battles occurring- so where does Sansa plan on obtaining food to feed her people, especially during winter? Not even Bran has an obligation to send her help, and even if he wanted to, he himself likely doesn't have the resources to do so. Highgarden had been sacked previously by the Lannister's, and gold is needed to be spent on rebuilding King's Landing (or apparently focused on building brothels, as Bronn suggests). So how exactly does Sansa plan on ruling her people and getting them through the coming winter, when she has no experience with ruling and the few scenes shown of her looking after Winterfell while Jon is gone, she barely does anything?
Not to mention the fact that considering the North obtained its independence, what's to stop the other kingdoms from declaring for their independence as well? Yara Greyjoy will likely be the first to declare for independence, considering Dany had promised her independence when they allied together. What is also to stop Yara from going after the North? Jon Snow was the one to kill her sworn Queen, and was barely given any sort of consequence for his actions, and the Starks were left in power. As mentioned, the North's armies have been depleted likely from the battle against the dead, and winter will likely be there as well, which means that they can't really afford needed resources and men on fighting against the Ironborn should they decide to go after the North or pillage from it.
Another contender likely to go independent is Dorne. In the show, it was mentioned that Dorne had pledged itself to Dany's side. I doubt they will want to follow the Stark's due to the same reasoning as Yara Greyjoy had- Jon Snow killed their Queen, hardly got any reasonable consequence for it, and the Stark's were left in power. That already leaves two areas independent from the crown. When the other people see Dorne and the Iron Islands go independent, what is to stop them from doing the same? War will likely start because of these independences (Westeros had warred amongst itself before Aegon the Conqueror united the lands). Neither Bran nor Sansa will have any men, supplies, or resources for these wars. And who is to even say that people would want to follow behind Bran being their King? Unlike previous rulers, Bran has no showing for why he should be respected and feared as a ruler to keep others in line, except for the fact that he can see all that goes on. Which isn't really going to stop people from rebelling when he has no actual backing to him; limited men and limited resources. Highgarden, as well, is probably going to be f*cked over from having Bronn as their Lord. Bronn has no experience ruling. His only actions showcased throughout the entire show was fighting, and going to brothels. Already as Master of Coin he is showing he has no concept for ruling and utilizing things wisely, considering he wished to focus the coin on rebuilding brothels of all things, over anything else. Also, what is to stop the Citadel from feeling slighted by Bran and his decisions as King? Samwell Tarly being made maester, when he didn't even finish his training in Oldtown, had stolen valuable items from the Citadel, and has two children with Gilly. The Citadel likely will rebel as well, or refuse to involve themselves with the Crown, considering what Bran had done.
Overall, when you truly put logical sense into the show's ending, it was a shitshow all around. Nothing made sense. And when you apply actual thinking and reasoning to it, you realize just how screwed over Westeros is going to be from this ending. It was said that G.R.R.M plans for Bran to be King, but from the way D&D did it, the ending made no credible sense and had a lot of errors within it as a whole because they can't seem to write a cohesive and good ending without plot holes, character assassination, and stupidity.
I really am crossing my fingers for the books, if they're ever going to be released, because the finality of the show just is... horrible. I would have taken Dany being Queen (even if they had made her 'mad' in the show) over this mess.

Artifacts of Thedas: A plaque denoting the Hero of Ferelden’s birthplace (Eireann Surana & Zevran) ~@lordgoretash
artefacts of Thedas | @dadrunkwriting | @lordgoretash
I don't have a title for this one yet. Help me out!
When she was crowned Queen of Ferelden, one of Anora Mac Tir’s many promises was to rebuild the city of Denerim, with new techniques and sturdier materials. So much of it needed to be rebuilt anyway, and it made sense to do so in ways that would have the city last for centuries to come. The city’s elves assumed that they would be left to their own devices – the crown has showed little care for them in the past. How strange it was, then, for human construction crews to arrive in their alienage. The sewers were properly covered, and cast iron water pumps were installed in the square. Many of the old, ramshackle houses were deemed unsafe for habitation, and pulled down one by one to be replaced by apartments with sturdy foundations and fire-resistant materials.
One little hovel remains. Zevran has been here before, and so has the woman beside him. She’d been carrying the little girl then, too, but in her womb, rather than in her arms. There’s a plinth to the left of the door now, built of stacked stones and mortar, and bearing a bronze plaque.
This plaque was erected to mark the birthplace of EIREANN SURANA Hero of Ferelden Vanquisher of the Archdemon Urthemiel Born on the seventh of Harvestmere, 9:12 Dragon
“I didn’t know I was born here,” Eireann says, absently.
Zevran frowns. “Is that so?”
“I should have,” she continues. “I should have, I don’t know…worked it out.”
It does seem an obvious assumption, but obvious assumptions are often wrong. He would say so, but Eireann isn’t finished. “No, no, I should have known. I should have been able to learn it. Why does the kingdom of Ferelden know more about me than I do?”
Zevran folds his arms, and stares at the offending plaque. No doubt it was placed in good faith, with an intention to honour a truly remarkable woman, but it has also served as a reminder of a childhood lost. Or rather, a childhood stolen. He might be able to relate to that, but he’s not so sure he ever had one to steal.
Little Farah must pick up on her mother’s distress. She lets out a worried little whimper, and hugs Eireann around the neck, resting her head on her mother’s shoulder. She may be the luckiest of them, in more ways than just material.
“To think you, solecito, were born in a castle! Quite the change, no?” As he speaks, Farah lifts her head to look at him. Zevran tickles the babe’s cheek, and she chortles heartily – she might be the cheeriest baby he’s ever met, though admittedly that’s a very small pool. He lays a hand on her mother’s free shoulder, and squeezes firmly. “You must teach her everything you wished to know about yourself. She will know the stories of what you have done, but she must know where you started.”
Eireann kisses her daughter’s head, and smiles at him. “Thanks, Zevran.” She looks over to her mother’s new house, made of stone and mortar, warmer and safer than anywhere her mother may have lived before. “Mamae is making extra leek and potato soup. There will be more than enough for you.”
“I wouldn’t want to intrude,” he replies, and Eireann rolls her eyes.
“Come on. You know she loves you. I’m surprised she hasn’t tried to adopt you yet.”
They both laugh, and Farah giggles too, as if she understands completely. Perhaps she does. Zevran wouldn’t know.
“Alright, potato and leek soup it is,” he agrees, “as long as she hasn’t added any Denerim rabbit.”
Eireann looks scandalised. “Would my mother ever?”
“She did when we were last here!” he argues.
“Oh, you mean when the alienage was quarantined?” Eireann retorts. “I wonder why she had trouble getting to market for ingredients.”
Their playful argument echoes well off the new stone walls and freshly cobbled streets.

So we talk about the linked universe boys a lot but we never see anything on the princesses. Like... where's the headcanons on them?
I wanna see Lullaby sneaking off as Shiek to hunt monsters with Time when court life becomes too much and complaining to Malon about the stupidity of the other nobles and how they fuck things over for everyone else but she can't just smack them over the head or overrule their policies because then she'd become a "tyranny" if she did that.
I wanna see Fable being an absolute menace to her Knights as payback for how they treat her brother but nobody believes then because she's a perfect angel for everyone else and she and Holda working together to study magic and learning to defend themselves so that Legend doesn't have to save them for what seems like the 100th time.
Sun using her memories as Hylia to be a cryptic little shit just for the funsies and kicking everyone's ass in spars because she's a knight too and a damn good one at that!
Flora and Purah are researching buddies and absolutely asking like a billion questions about everyone's timeliness and Symin having to drag the both of them by the scruff of their shirts out of the lab or back from the wilderness
Dusk having holidays in Ordon and Kakariko for similar reasons and practicing her archery, not quite going rogue but working alongside the Resistance to pick up her own soldier's slack.
Artemis just kicking ass and taking names as she continuously works to weed out the corruption that was brought to light by Cia's invasion.
Aurora and Dawn being sisters and helping each others trauma while trying to rebuild the kingdom's history and army so Hyrule doesn't have to work so hard.
Tetra being the badass pirate queen she is and also being a terrible influence on Aryll as a surrogate big sister so she can gleefully hold the fact over Wind's head, who is upset because HE wanted to be the one to teach Aryll how to swear!
I love all of these so much, especially the girls I'm familiar with. The idea of Lullaby sneaking out and fighting alongside Time while also chilling at the ranch and having girl time with Malon is amazing. I always adore seeing Sun get to, well, shine and show that she too is a knight - and that she fought in a war as Hylia! No one remembers Hylia fought in a war to save everyone before she ever asked for help from a hero!
All of this is delightful. <3 When I have more brain cells to spare I will make some fun ideas of my own.
This ask does remind me that I need to make a post about the Zelda personalities, though, so thank you for that too!
