Mad's man crush on Hugh and Hugh's man crush on Mads has deffinetly contributed to how real the feelings between Hannibal and Will felt in the show. It's a well known fact that they are both married and have kids and that they arn't actually in love but it just feels like they really respect eachother and like to work together, plus their chemestry as actors is so good.
