Honestly, I have no clue what they are! They could be a human that somehow got stuck in the game, corrupted data that became sentient, or just some weird experiment gone wrong. Either way, they don't seem to care, despite being fully aware that they are from a video game. They're just chillin'.

“…Like A Rolling Stone…?”

It might still be considered a spoiler which song Daryl sings in TBOC season 2, so I won’t reveal that above the cut. It’s not Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone”, like the headline of this post could possibly allude to. That’s just shameless misdirection, and I apologize.

However, enjoy this completely unrelated fake Rolling Stone magazine cover that was released in a Skybound article back in July 2017:

This is mostly @wdway’s brain child, I have a few thoughts of my own to add, but nothing nearly as exciting as her stuff.

So, the song Daryl sings is "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by The Rolling Stones, which is super intriguing, concidering Skybound made sure to create an inextricable link between Beth and Rolling Stone Magazine with the fake magazine cover back in 2017. You could successfully agrue that any reference containing the phrase "rolling stone" at least on some level could be tied to her.

Now that we’re safely out of spoiler free territory, let’s have a look at the opening minutes of TBOC season finale 2x6. We find the scene TD’ers have been eagerly anticipating ever since we heard that Daryl was going to fulfill another one of the “I never’s” from 4x12 Still, namely the “I never sang out loud in public, like everything was fun”.

The episode starts with a close up of Laurent blowing the seeds off a dandelion:

Daryl approaches Laurent, explaining how where he’s from, people blow on those to set their wishes free:

This reminded @wdway of Beth’s monologue from 4x10 Inmates about writing down your wishes to make them come true:

Then Daryl goes on to explain how he found the guitar in the trunk of a car. I explained in a post earlier this week (read here) how trunks of cars are used as metaphors for tombs in TWDU, and how those tombs sometimes have “emergency exits”, so that it’s possible to “escape” them, meaning tomb symbolism means "death and resurrection". I've previously written about how green(e)houses represent the same type of symbolism here. We see an excellent exemple of this in the previous episode 2x5, where TPTB quite literally gave us a retelling of how Beth could have been saved after 5x8 Coda.

Famously known for escaping tombs was Jesus Christ himself. According to Luke 24:1-6, some women visited his tomb, only to find it empty, “the stone rolled away from the tomb”:

A bit of a biblical “rolling stone” reference there, in other words, and it’s about as synonymous with “resurrection” as it can possibly get. With that in mind, do you see the fake Rolling Stone cover with Beth in a different light now? The "rolling stone" reference represents the "emergency exit" in the "tomb/trunk" symbolism, it is what allows the "resurrection" to take place. Resurrection; Like A Rolling Stone…

Then Laurent proceeds to sing “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, by The Rolling Stones, which is what my stupid little Dylan-esque misdirection in the headline alluded to.

Daryl joins in, and gets emotional. His voice start breaking and he gets teary eyed.

I was officially ugly crying.

@wdway also remembered a different fake magazine cover from back in the day, more specifically at the beginning of 5x8 Coda, and in the beginning of the coda of 5x8 Coda, meaning we saw it before Beth “died” and immediately after. The magazine was “Rattle & Roll” which, judging from the aesthetic of the cover design, we can plausibly interpret as a nod to the actual Rolling Stone magazine, which we now know is a resurrection reference.

I had already started overthinking this scene in 2x5 because of the incredible dialogue between Laurent and Daryl. Daryl talks about how he found a guitar in a trunk, Laurent is worried that Daryl will be alone in France while he, Carol and Ash travel to America (because there’s not enough room for four people on the plane).

Daryl explains that he’s been alone before, a lot. That’s a reference to 4x13 Alone. Daryl says it’s only temporary, while Laurent worries it might be for eternity. Again, basically describing the plot of Alone. Then Daryl goes on and says “go ahead, play something, which of course is exactly what he said to Beth in 4x13 Alone:

The entire season is full of these types of dialogue parallels and Beth callbacks.

Because the whole scene opened with the image of Laurent blowing seeds off a dandelion, I was already in the process of researching that, and as always, etymology is my go-to method for initial searches:

Upon learning that dandelion is a reference to a lion’s teeth, I googled that to see what came up, and well…what a tremendous coincidence it is that…

…The Mountain Goats, the same band that sang the song “Up The Wolves” that played at the end of 4x12 Still, happens to have a song called “Lions Teeth”!!! A tremendous coincidence indeed!

I’ve highlighted some of the lyrics that seem particularly pertinent for TD, such as mentions of sleeping in cars and “Hold On” which is a theme we’ve seen throughout the years, not least in season 3 when Beth sang Tom Waits’ “Hold On” in the prison.

And the coincidence gets even more impressive when you learn that these two songs are actually from the same album, The Sunset Tree from 2005! And as if that’s not enough, the two songs follow each other directly on the album. It’s almost as though they’re linked…?

So, to my knowledge, songs from the Mountain Goats have been referenced three times in TWDU. First, "Up The Wolves" was used in Still, as we all know. Second, a song called "Love Love Love", from the same album (The Sunset Tree) was used in FTWD 4x8 No One’s Gone. It’s a very “death and resurrection” oriented episode, in that it is the episode when Madison “died” only to later “resurrect”.

And now, with Laurent and the dandelion/Lion’s teeth flower, we have a roundabout reference to the song that directly follows “Up The Wolves” on the album The Sunset Tree, "Lion’s Teeth". This might not in and of itself be a massive deal, but together with everything else, it’s seems like it definitely could be part of a pattern. It seems like no matter what goes on on the surface of this show this season, there’s a multitude of Beth callbacks and dialogue parallels (and in this case musical references) tied to Beth lurking right beneath the surface.

So I’m thinking, when Daryl sings “You can’t always get what you want” and it seems to be breaking his heart, the subtext is about Beth.

Hello! I don’t know if you’ve said it before or not, but will Caz physically mutate at all in the Still Here AU? If that’s too much of a spoiler or you don’t want to share, do they find out he’s infected as well? In Gibbo’s chapter, it’s only mentioned that Gibbo and Trots could sense something from the other, but in part 2 of Muir’s chapter, Caz could feel the shift in the Shape’s connection, so maybe they can’t sense anything from him?

Will Caz mutate? No. However, he is still infected to some degree, as is everyone who did turn. The best way I can describe it is catching a disease. The one that infected you dies, but you're not cured. That's basically how I'm portraying The Shape. It's dead, but everyone is still infected. The only difference is that you won't mutate any further than you have. So Caz is very lucky it's just a mental mutation that has proven to be useful.

Yes, I am going back on my theory that you continue to mutate, but it didn't sit right for the Still Here writing, so concider this a 'what if?' in canon.

Side note: Whilst I do think Brodie was eventually infected and Finlay was confirmed to be, they aren't here since everything's been resolved before they could be.

Backstory

Though she'd be hardpressed to remember the location of such, Aurora was born on February 2nd, 1874. Aurora's birth parents cared deeply for their daughter, but care does not automatically equal abilitiy. Like many children of the time, her parents were unable to afford to take care of her, and at the age of 4, 1878, Aurora was surrendered to an orphange. Her parents always intended to come back for her once they had the means too, but that was not to be.

Aurora was 6 years old when Arthur Winn, a weapon's manufacturer stationed in Birmingham, and his wife Lenora came to the orphanage. The two had been unable to have biological children of their own, and, with Lenora's great desire to be a mother, the path lead them here, and to Aurora.

Aurora's relationship to her parents was... strenuous, to say the least. A couple on shakey terms, trying to follow closely on societies terms, with no prior knowledge on raising a child couldnt have led to anything else. Lenora was overbearing, Arthur often distant and aloof, and Aurora was caught in between, complicated, and confused. Aurora was brought up in a way to fit the demands of a proper lady, yet no matter how she tried to fit herself within the mold, one cannot meld themself into a shape they do not belong in.

Sometime in her teens, Aurora first was introduced to fencing - her mother was against the prospect, but somehow her father was encouraging, and thus the tutorage began. Aurora took to fencing immediatly, an outlet for the budding rage and anger that was beginning to boil inside her, practicing form and poise as she pracitced with her blade. She attended any competition she was allowed in, though even still, there was limits due to her very nature of birth.

Perhaps it was this budding rage and violence brewing within that led to a chance encounter on the surface, or perhaps it was simply concidence. (surface veils fic by R)

Regardless, there was incidents, places of sharp blades being where they shouldnt have. Of course. no word of this would ever trace back to Aurora, her parents would ensure that.

Things came to a head within her family at last when Aurora was in her 20s - many years of refusing suitors and marriage could only be put off for so long, and her mother was at her wits end. Aurora's cousin would be the one set to inheiret from her father, and without ensuring a proper match for Aurora, Lenora could do nothing to ensure the future of her daughter. She won't be around to cover for Aurora forever, and auroras getting older now too-

Aurora tried, she truly did. But she just couldnt bring herself to go through with it. Before she could be wed to anyone, Aurora fled without word to her family, disapearing off into the night, following a call of wherever her feet would take her.

Aurora came to the neath in 1899, at 25 years old.

Game Timeline

Rory's introduction to the neath was... interesting. On her own for the first time, truly without limits or guidance... well, she didnt quite know what she was doing. It wasn't long before she found an outlet for her rage, from fighting and duels to hunting and killing.

From being a hired enforcer to becoming a murderer, it was only a matter of time before Rory truly became a bringer of death. The licentiate's path, a killer for hire, spoke to her in a specific way. Once blood began to spill, she couldn't see it stopping, a red path at her heels marking her very nature.

Her aim to hunt the vake came between all that - or did it inspire it? Either way, that path had been set. A true testement to her abilities that would be, to kill what no one else had managed

The first loss had dealt a brutal hit to her ego, but fueled her only more with spite.

It was during this that Rory met April, a companion and true help in her aim to kill the vake. It was more then that though, that made Rory so fascinated by April - someone so smart, so interesting, so passionate, so moved... Rory didnt know what to do with these feelings. She didnt even know what they were. But they were strong nonetheless, and only led Rory to a greater want to be near April, to let her tend to her wounds.

To have someone she promised she would return to. That she wouldnt be another one lost in the mission of the hunt.

As the hunting progressed, Rory lost more and more of herself into that rage, into that calling, the urge to kill and maim and destory only fueled by the blood she had ingested. Her nails were claws, her teeth sharp points, sense honed to keen levels, always on the prowl.

Even when the vake lay dead at her feet, all pieces hunted, stalked, severed; Even then, the urge called to Rory.

But with nothing left to hunt, no further worthy adversary, what more was there to do?

Lost adrift within the bounds of urge, Rory only worked further into assassinations, that perhaps if she spilled enough blood, that would be enough. It never was.She remianed lost in the call of the hunt and the violence, no further adversaries left her to chase, alone in her monstrous nature, forgetting anything else she could have ever been.

If one becomes a monster in order to kill the monster, how much of the person remains? When does the line between the self and the call severe, where does on start and the other begin?

Perhaps, in time, something of the human could be saved.

Also spoilers for chapter 6 and 7 with Idia and Malleus-

Cater: he likes takeing pictures that show off your tattoo. He think it is lovely and helps bring our your beauty. He sees that what he does means alot to you. But he dosent ask about it, he dosent dig, he just is there by your side

Trey: while the two of you were talking and bakeing, your tattoo came up. So, you shared it, being able to do whatever while talking. Trey listened and said that he was glad you're still here. If you ever needed help you could allways come to the doorm and ask, they would allways havw your back here.

Leona: literally, no fucks. He just, dosent care. If you do open up about your tattoo and it's meaning, he may verbally brush you off but, he gets literally all of Savanaclaw to be nicer to you and help you out if you seem to need it or ask for it. He also just, pays off Crowly for your rent and gets ruggie to go grocery shopping with you. Due to him being Royalty, he may not be allowed to get a tattoo unless it's in his cultural style. But also being the younger overlooked child, it probably dosent matter as much. But I don't think he would unless something happens to motivate him to actually start trying. Then he would get one in his cultural style.

Rook: he conciders it beautiful and helps being out your natural beauty. I think this man would adore those with tattoos that excentriate their natural features and not bury them too much. He would also put together the meaning behind it quite quickly aswell. He won't do anythjng about it unless he sees that you need it. He'll lend an ear if you wish to tell him your story and your problems. He is there to help

Vil: Modeling isn't exactly friendly to those who come in with tattoos, but if you're already apart of the industry and the tattoo has some sort of meaning, it's more accepted. One day while liveing with you, he does decide to ask about it, so, you share you story, he is genuinely shocked by it. But it's a bit of a grounding moment for him that, struggling like you are, and liveing like this, and he sees how exaughsted you are, how it's hard for you to care for yourself. He sees that, this is a common thing, for others out there too. Everyone has something that they struggle with. If only if he asked sooner. He still overblots, but after it, he directly apologized to you, knowing he just added more on your plate again. I think he would get a black and purple apple semicolon tattoo, as to not let everything bottle up so much that it poisons his work and those around him again. It keeps him grounded and reminds him of whats important and what he learned from while attending NRC

Iida: he has probably tought of getting some tattoos tbh, of differnt series that he adores and what makes him happy. Of course, he would probably work with a tattoo artist to make a tattoo gun that is painless and quickens the healing time. I think, after everything, he would text you and ask about your tattoo, and that it's just a simple semicolon it must mean something, right? So you awnser him and tell him the story and the meaning. He appreciates you shareing that with him. He also tells you how you can enter his room and will text you the code daily if you need someone to just kinda chill with and do whatever. He gets a blue fire one with yellow in the middle as a memorial to thr late ortho and the birth of the new one.

Lilia: I think he would've gotten one when he was younger, when drunk, on a dare by someone else he worked with. So he knows a bit about them, he probably put together the meaning of yours, so pushes Malleus and the boys to hangout with you and let's them know it's ok to ask about anything they wish to. He dosent need to know you story, he knows what you all need are friends. He'll also pop on whenever to just be a dad and check in

Malleus: I think he would be one of the first people you tell. He asks about it, wanting to get to know you better (and with Lilias support) so, you tell him your story. This worry him, he asks, if you even want to go back to a world that, let's that happen to you, if you stayed here, there are people who can help. You may either ponder on it, or just say, even tough I've struggled, I have those I love who are at home waiting for me... its when Malleus first develops some visable blot in ages. It goes away after a few days, but it worries those around him. When he overblots, he tries to make you a dream where you can be here and there, where you can be happy, and don't have to suffer. But... you leave. After the incident, you comfort him and show that everything needs time to heal, some wounds of yours are healed, others aren't. But time will heal them, along with being open and shareing with those you care about, like what you did when you told him. I think, malleus understands this. He decides on getting a matching one to you (even if you tell him not to) haveing his own version of it that is similar to yours but tailored to him, make him happy. He would also get one for Lilia, Silver, and Sebek. He'll do it for any friend that passes, and every time he gets a new retainer. It's to keep the ones he loves close to his heart, even if they aren't with him anymore. He will love them in spirit.

What were Archvisties to vampire society? I keep wondering that because I find it so curious how so very few people actually know what they are, and the only ones we have seen who know right away are count orlock, chloe and Ruthvan, all high ups in vampire society, while those of lower status, aka count Orlocks servents, Jean Jacqes, didn't know until they were told.

Surely if Archivistes were well known their massacre would still be remembered as it wasn't that long ago [if we go by Noes age] but yet the servent of Orlocks who does know what an Archvisite is, refers to the massacre as happening 'long ago'

Concidering how long some vampires live, isnt it odd for them to refer to something not even 20 years old as a long time ago ?

We also know Archvisites are differant to regular vampires, as Dominique claimed vanitas wanted to use noe for his unique abilities, (abilities not just ability to see memories), how it (presumably) took longer for chloes potion to kick on for him

Not to mwntion- SPOILER FOR THE LATEST CHAPTER CHAPTER 61

how Noe is already starting to recall what Ruthvan did to him, which shouldn't be possiable if Ruthvan is more powerful than him.

Moving into another theory that I mentioned before but I keep finding more and more proof for,

I think EVERYTHING since the beginning has been planned by teacher, everything, not just the small things. From him just os happening to find noe at an auction, as far as we know the teacher didn't have any others in the mansion so he just so happend to go to a human auction and find the last remaining archvisite? As we know noe added that the vampires who kidnapped hom mistook him for a human?

It was almost as if Noe was the main peice of the story the teacher wanted to see play out. Not to mention in Domiques first appearance she says this-

Who told her where Noe was? Realistically how would anyone know that Noe was with count Orlock? Unless count orlock told someone and it got passed on? But the only person who knew noe was in Paris was the teacher.

The teacher sending a letter to count orlock with Noes full name and asking him to help Noe with anything he needs is also weirdly suspicious because there was no need to give out Noes full name unless he knew the effect it would have.

I am also of the mindset that everything happening is a timeloop, of this situation has played out time and time again, from the conversation lady Archvisitie and the teacher have in Chapter [ 58]

That his excitement at Noe coming with him, "Yes I am having fun because you came with me" implying Noe had a choice not to come, and as we know Teacher loves throwing around the word "choice" an awful lott.

If it is true abiut this being a time loop or some sort of time shenanigans, Noe could be the slightly differant thing Lady Archvisite and Teacher discussed in chapter [58 and 59 ]

One small "choice" can change the entire direction of a story after all.

Also final theory, Vanitas Dies by Noe not grabbing his hand when crossing the portal, I'm still of the mind the story will end with Atlus crumbling. And Vanitas will be trapped in the middle world because Noe didn't grab his hand. Why? Simple, I like to think this scene is foreshadowing

Noe keeps moving between saying- he killed vanitas by his own hand, and, he regrets not grabbing his hand that day, the death of vanitas won't be this big and major gruesome thing like we are led to beleive but rather him being stuck in a void, as it would also explain vanitas saying this during his 'death'

As we know Noe is an unreliable narrator, he blames himself for alott of things that happend, and tends to overexagerate how much of a part he played in the tragedy, as we can see during the whole Louis situation, he holds alott of regret and blames himself for it to the point even years later Domi has to remind him it wasn't his fault, so by him saying he killed Vanitas by his own two hands, it could be something as simple as him- being unable to catch vanitas in time. Or hesitating before holding onto him because Vanitas might of been the to let go.

There was enough of time between Vanitas dying and Noe somehow being the cause of it, for Vanitas to give him the reassurance that he won't die that he just won't be apart of this world,

It could of been said in a similar fashion to how Jean jauqes forced Noe to drink his blood so someone would remember hom and chloe, because if we think about it in that sense. He could of meant he won't die because Now will always be around to remember.

Making Vanitas a figure similar to the shapeless one or lady archvisite; who mainly seem to operate and live in the between world.

holy. fuckin'. DAMN. I was pretty good at predicting the plot so far, but this episode proved that stampede is going in a whole new direction for real. spoilers for ep 9!!! (and manga a bit)

first of all, we still haven't got a full story of the great fall, but I think it's something they'll reveal in this season, probably during confrontation with knives. and still no scar reveal!! I'm angy but it's something that could be relevant to the standoff with knives, hope we'll get it

the piano scene... oh we're eating GOOD, it's just so wholesome but goes to confirm my theory that twins weren't completely fine on the ship. vash feeling useless because he can't do cool plant shit, knives envying vash for being good at human shit.... oh it's great

so glad knives is getting proper characterization and not just "he evil because he evil"! the fear, the hurt, the genuine care for vash, but then frustration with him – it's right there and I'm eating it up so yummy

the way they recontextualized vash's arm loss is GORGEOUS! I've seen ppl reading this scene differently, but to me it was an act of care from naï. he looks really scared for a reason: we see that the gate consumed all matter, including the hand. vash couldn't control it, so it would only grow bigger and destroy him. NAÏ REALIZED THIS AND SAVED VASH THE ONLY WAY HE COULD

he didn't want to fight him, this was not an act of anger, like in previous versions. all he cared about in that moment was saving his twin..... and what did he get in return? a gun pointed to his face. a gun he gave vash to kill human scum. oh, the DRAMA

ahem, now to the less intense stuff

homeboy has so much trauma, like, damn... how is he gonna fit any more from his impending epic brother fight...... I'm quite curious on how they're gonna characterize him in the next season. concidering that we're taking off earlier than previous versions, he might end up with the same unhinged vibe 98' vash had, as a coping mechanism (if depression didn't work, try dissociation and silliness). but then it would be even more interesting to see meryl's and wolfwood's reactions: they knew him before the accident and saw the big sad

vash has sense in the prosthetic arm, so it must've hurt when he damaged it... probably it hurts less than the real one, and it's clearly painless to take off. but the hand seems to be rather sensitive and fic writers are gonna go crazy for this

age reveal! also brad and luida being in cryosleep makes sense, I was racking my brain on how they're still alive. seems like they're using much more plant power tho... both for cryo and the vegetation, while in manga they tried to keep it as low as possible and send signals to earth

saw someone say that they're probably not doing that here because the earth is destroyed... could be that they decided to go the hard way. but in the manga the earth was still fucked, and it wasn't clear if they communicated with the ppl left on the planet or the fleet that was in some new place. what I'm saying is, there is a possibility that they are looking for help in stampede, we just don't know it yet

meryl was so cute! go off, comedy relief goofy girl, while you can, there is more trauma coming your way :3 yeah, enjoy roberto calling you by your first name... oh it would be such a shame if he gave you his derringer before his untimely death..........

pretty weird that nobody knows why they fell on no man's land, but ppl probably were too ashamed of their past and 150 years later the new generation is oblivious. also so funny that luida has to explain what vegies are..... they have so many plants but haven't see any plants

tbh I wasn't expecting the zazie twist at all, but I'm excited! they are SO gender in stampede, might be the best redesign in the series, love me a genderless bug creature with bold fashion choices. really cool to see that storyline adapted, it was barely touched upon in the last volumes of trimax

btw the multiple bullets story about a plant, worm and human who went around figuring out if their species could coexist and just.... creating this foud family and then building a town there all were equal...... that's my favorite mb story for sure

wolfwood saying "I'm not your friend"... I know what you are. and we got a "you'll have to decide one day"... oh oh the misery, but the context was lacking. it just doesn't hit the same when he isn't daring vash to shoot him in the most homoerotic way possible. on and he looks so goofy trying to ride with his cross

in the last ep's rant I assumed that luida lied about rem saving everybody for some reason?? but no, she actually saved them, I just got a bit confused

so, as I predicted, the gang separated (tho not because of vash) and by the end of the next episode vash'll be in july and meet naï. the poster, man.... that gorgeous futuristic city is getting obliterated for sure

btw vash's gate being opposite to knives and sort of a black hole is nothing new. but there are new layers to this, like vash willingly giving away energy, but destroying things against his will, and knives with the opposite of this. ying yan twins go brrrr

I think its very interesting that ultimately, Humanity and Fami's goals are aligned, One for much more silly reasons but still. They have the same goal in mind, Stop the King of terror. We also now know thanks to Fami that they will usher in the age of Devils. She also mentions that none of them can actually stop it at this point.

The last thing I wanted to mention is the reveal of one of Famis powers. With this reveal, the Deal with the Eternity devil in the Aquarium makes much more sense. Unfortunately I guess she never concidered them getting desperate enough to eat the fish. But if it had gone to plan, War, Denji, the Devil Hunting club (If they arent her pawns already) and Yoshida would have become her Pawns making her goals that much easier. Although contracting Falling she must be getting very desperate to get Yoru to come under her spell, She must truly believe she is the only one that can save the day.

I also wonder to what extent that power goes, Does it only relate to hunger? Yuko was Attention starved, made a deal with the Justice Devil, Also got Revived by Fami. Justice itself seemed very attention starved too, Maybe Fami can control that too.

RANT BLOG OF RICK AND MORTY SEASON 7 EPISODE 10

LITERALLY I SCREAMED, I just. Oh my God!? I WAS LIKE REALLY!? IS DIANE COMING BACK!? but no sadly no.. but the writers gave us something we wanted even tho it wasn't real. BUT HOLY SHIT MORTY ☹️

When his fear was having rick die, I think it was more of a momental fear where it was just more of a concern than fear? But then it turned out to be him not being accepted, I think, THEN it turned out he feared that he'd be replaced ☹️ I think after all this time seeing other versions of morty's dying left and right he'd eventually be replaced too, I mean tell me about it. Rick doesn't need him anymore to kill rick prime right? So maybe post event morty felt less valuable to him that he probably start fearing that one day he'd just die and rick wouldn't care and it's just so sad :( I mean rick is probably morty's first ever friend and someone he can actually trust. And it's just so heartwarming to see both morty's and Rick's development as a duo and as themselves,

Season 1 started off as Rick with one set on goal, to kill rick prime. And concidering morty back then he obviously was so new to all of Rick's antics and so as morty grew up during the seasons he grew more confident and independent from rick

I MEAN HE LITERALLY TOOK A FLYING BIKE TO GO BACK TO DENNYS TO CONFRONT THE GUY would season 1 morty do that!? No! And thats the point

He changed! well he's obviously the same but something about him makes him more confident on himself to actually take lead. He's always the side kick to rick the batman and joker type of duo. But now it's slowly grown to a side kick to an actual equal

And I am just so happy for him (ㅠ︿ㅠ), it's like seeing a best friend grow with you. I mean cmon I've watched rick and morty since I was A TODDLER my cousin introduced it to me once and I've never thought few years later when I'm ACTUALLY morty's age TODAY?, I see him genuinly grow through the years.

Spoilers to Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun!!! If you have not read the manga or at least seen the anime and are planning to, don’t read this.

Hanako has charisma, but What was concidered charming back when he was alive might have been different, and if the assumption of him being abused back then may have made him shut down. In other words, he didn’t reach out to others at all. People may have thought him being weird.

Now being years doing What he does as a ghost has given him more confidence, but trauma is still there. He still doesn’t like to talk about himself, but he does talk about other things. The encounter with his brother showed him completely getting frozen by fear, which shows that the trauma is still there.

CRITICAL ROLE SPOILER WARNING

Episode 38 - solid, packed with jokes, sweet and sad moments, not so emotional as previous one through. And that great, since we had quite a ride last 3-4 episodes.

Laudna is back, however it was very close to fail, thank goodness for 16 on Matt's dice. Very thematic that Orym was successful and FCG failed. Also, concidering contribution that Imogen made, it was also quite interesting twist, since she just speak to Laudna and asked her to choose herself. Yeah, I was hoping that we will have some big romantic moment with a kiss/declaration of love and... actually we had it. If you love person, truly love them, you are willing to let go so they could be happy, even if might hurt you. And this moment was very in Imogen character. She is there for her friend, her everything and she didn't push. Because she knows that Laudna not in that place yet and... after Resurection and all this trauma that she've been through no need to add another layer about her best friend pining. But there are fierce protection and deep care.

So, with Imodna we are kinda back to this will they/won't they area, but I still think they will after very good portion of great slow burn moments, probably they will talk this out by the final chapter of the story. It seems to me that Imogen is already there from all this moments with Dusk and especially after loosing Laudna, but Laudna obviously didn't enter this part of her brains yet. Hope, we will get some talk between those two in the few episodes.

Night under the Sun tree was a heartwarming moment. BH is coming back on track with all this Ridius mystery. Oh, that last part of episode got me worried, since I was really afraid that Otohan will make an entrance and f*ck up team again. They really need to be careful next 3 days at least, otherwise Laudna might fall again due to heavy penalties that she had.

I've got a feeling that we are slowly moving towards FCG/Ashton character arcs, since Fearne and Laudna's play their part and Imogen's being entangled with a main plot. Would like to know more about Chetney and Orym through.

Oh, Mister now indeed had a gun, BH had a skyship and Pate is alive and talking.

P.S. It was very nice move to have Laura and Marisha sit together in the first half of episode, I wish they stay like that through.
