Not surprised since this is the site that only talks about racism and thinks it’s a big deal when they see it demonstrated in the cartoons and comics they like *coughs* dungeonmeshi *coughs* (for example at least. I haven’t seen THIS many white ppl talk as in depth about racism on here as much as these fandom nerds, man. I stg. Like “Ohhhh, so you all DO acknowledge that racism is real? Just not in real life even if you could feel it slapping you in the face at high speed. Gotcha.” It’s crazy.

Tumblr is like, 90% white and is extremely centered around them. That’s why you barely see stuff that’s important to black and brown people ever trending here or being talked about. It has to be something incredibly huge to the point where even white people can’t ignore it like they usually do, to talk about it here.

They only talked about George Floyd here because the topic of his death became world news. Even people in other countries were talking about it. Before him, it was probably Ferguson and Trayvon Martin… most of them are still trying their best to ignore the genocides because it’s a “touchy subject.” What do you expect from white people who live in their own bubbles of comfort and refuse to pop it with a needle??? They find comfort in their privilege and faux ignorance (they love playing stupid to avoid conversations about important things outside of fandoms like, are these mfs born with half a brain dedicated to fandom or what.) That’s literally all these mfs make a big deal out of, especially on this annoying ass platform. The ao3 mfs will go to war for the site that allows racist ff and cp like it’s no big deal. I wonder how many people here even donated to the site while actively scrolling past dono posts from folks who really do need help. They act like they’re doing a civil service by defending this site that makes over the amount of it’s intended dono goal in minutes.

Then you already know as soon as you even bring up racism in the stuff they like, they start ganging up and harassing black bloggers especially, calling them TERFs and the whole nine. Anything to make that person look bad for being concerned about the racism that they have such an intense aversion to. God, it’s absolutely exhausting knowing that these people would have no problem choosing a cartoon character over your entire existence if they COULD. Isn’t that fucking sad, man?

it’s actually so wild to me that this fairly quirky YA type show gave both of its main characters deaths that can, in one way or another, solidly be considered hate crimes. they were both flat out murdered as a result of being A) gay and effeminate or B) brown (south asian, specifically) and you could argue whether or not those kids thought of it that way in the moment or whatever but the bottom line is that they would not have been in the situations that killed them if they weren’t of their respective minorities. like legitimately that is a ballsy choice for this kind of netflix show, let alone for the two Main Characters, and i respect it big time

Fanfic and fanfic-adjacent writers have a reputation for "take historical accuracy seriously EXCEPT for homophobia which is handwaved away" and I know that is intended to be part of the fantasy but when I make gay headcanons I actually really like thinking about how that character in particular would handle or think about the views in the surrounding society they live in. Especially when you have characters from far past societies who simply would not conceptualize sexual behavior in the same "named orientation/identity" framework we have now. I think that's really interesting and worth taking seriously

Something I hate about the bnha fandom (besides the toxicity) is the fact that everyone always forgets about Aoyama. Like what if I want to read fic about the funny French man with tummy aches? What if I think it's cool that he tries to make friends by climbing on peoples balconies in the middle of the night and leaving cheese by their doors? What if he's the best character in the entire show and nobody ever acknowledged his greatness?

Thinking about Kakashi coming back from really long anbu missions and seeing Gai. Their need for each other being identical to animalistic starvation. The kisses, the gripping, the holding, just being so rough and filled with need to burrow into the others flesh; the gazes they give to one another, inexplicably soft but holding so much hunger, like their survival depends on the feeling of the others skin, the others body rubbing against them, their moans and hot breaths making the want worse instead of better because they can’t get their fill no matter how many times they push inside the other to make them reach euphoria.

They touch and they feel and they yearn but it’s not enough. Its never enough and then 2 days go by and they’re still going at each other and then 4 and then 7 and then they finally, finally feel they intertwined their bodies, insides and souls together enough to where when they look at each other the burning passion of want is not but a simmer until next time the dial goes up to maximum and they lock themselves up together again

I've been asking my mom to watch Agatha with me ever since it came out and she said we could watch it during the break before Halloween but I'm growing increasingly worried because the show is getting gayer and gayer and I don't want her to think I'm just watching it because it's gay.

To be clear the gayness is obviously a very nice bonus but I'm primarily watching it because it's funny and the music slaps and witches and it's just great overall. But I worry that to an outsider it may just look like a giant
