I'm going to be so real I do not understand tim & steph shippers who feel that Steph dating Tim again would save her character. You can make an argument that giving Tim a more compelling love interest would be beneficial for him! And you can at least make an argument that the fujo mischaracterization of Steph would stop. However she'd still, inevitably, be treated as a prop character/extension for someone more popular 😭 it also wouldn't make her appear in more books! Tim doesn't have many frequent appearances at the moment either! You can just say you like the couple and want them back together without acting like you have some kind of moral stance

Holy heck another person sick of Shining Glitter x Black Lemonade, you are my BESTIE for forever. Shining Glitter is far from the first Ovenbreak to get their character flatlined or disrespected in CRK (glaring at you, Pitaya) but now I can finally have a space to rant how much she is reduced to this ship now, and has zero other connections! Nevermind her friendly rivalry with Shine Muscat, or bond with Sour Belt as her favorite designer, or even how she's come to a full circle, being inspired by Rockstar to begin music, only for her to directly inspire Popping Candy to start his own career, I really like her! And yet in all fandom spaces she is forever "preppy idol with goth girlfriend." and NOTHING else, damn it makes me frustrated 😑

Yeah lol I'm pretty tired of Glitternade or whatever it's actually called. I'm tired of a lot of ships like this tbh. This crime has been committed against multiple characters (PITAYA DRAGON!!!) already. It's really such a massive shame what they keep doing to OB characters. Shining Glitter is more lively and interesting and 3D than she is in Kingdom. Just like you said, she has relationships and even rivalries with other characters. In Kingdom it's just... this lol. And in the fandom, she's just the prep gf to Black Lemonade's goth. I'm watching this happen to Fire Spirit, too (and that REALLY fucking hurts because he's always been my #1 for all time). He comes out in Kingdom and nobody has anything to say about his character, or his role in the story, or anything. He's just "Wind Archer's boyfriend". I don't bother looking through his tag anymore because all it is is F1reWind shit. And I'm sure the same thing has happened to Shining Glitter and Black Lemonade. To Wildberry and Crunchy Chip. TO HOLLYBERRY AND PITAYA DRAGON.

I'll say it as many times as I have to, you're free to ship whatever you want. I'm not your mother. I'm not the Fun Police. Shipping is just playing dollhouse, whatever you do with the dolls is not my problem. And I recognize that you can say "why can't they just be friends" to ANY ship that exists, and I'm probably a hypocrite at least to some degree. Fanfic and fanfic-adjacent writers have a reputation for "take historical accuracy seriously EXCEPT for homophobia which is handwaved away" and I know that is intended to be part of the fantasy but when I make gay headcanons I actually really like thinking about how that character in particular would handle or think about the views in the surrounding society they live in. Especially when you have characters from far past societies who simply would not conceptualize sexual behavior in the same "named orientation/identity" framework we have now. I think that's really interesting and worth taking seriously

Something I hate about the bnha fandom (besides the toxicity) is the fact that everyone always forgets about Aoyama. Like what if I want to read fic about the funny French man with tummy aches? What if I think it's cool that he tries to make friends by climbing on peoples balconies in the middle of the night and leaving cheese by their doors? What if he's the best character in the entire show and nobody ever acknowledged his greatness?

Thinking about Kakashi coming back from really long anbu missions and seeing Gai. All the suppressed want and need - the yearning for his smell, his voice his whole being and it overwhelming him to a point where they end up closed off in Kakashi’s apartment and fucking for a week straight because Kakashi can’t physically do anything but touch him and Gai being equally as obsessive and insane about him.
