I was thinking about something. In the Percy Jackson's books, each chapter has a "funny" title that kinda resumes all the events of said chapter. I really wondered what would be the titles of the chapters if he was to meet Saint Seiya characters.

After a couple more minutes thinking about this, I present to you:

Pleeeease redesign the other fucks from the nine realms.

Oooo this was such a fun little project! Not a fan of the nine realms which is pretty standard within this fandom, but I do like the uh. Vibe. Of some dragons. The designs are always a miss apart from like. One or two.

Starting off with Thunder - species Night light:

Thunder being so night furyish makes little sense if we’re taking Toothless being the last night fury as canon. Either that mother fucker had the strongest genetics known to man, or dragons live for hundreds and hundreds of years, which considering httyd likes its realism(sometimes), I doubt is the case for a species like the night or light fury. So, I made his design lean way way more into being a light fury, but still making it clear that he is actually a night light.

Also, didn’t include any of the weird fucked up ‘evolution’ to the tail/wings/earnubs, because little short from it being a birth defect or cross breeding with a non-fury dragon (Which genetically speaking is 99.99% impossible) is absolutely NOT possible at all. 1000 years is fucking NOTHING for evolution. Maybe you’d get a slight gene change or something but you are not getting anatomical shifts that fucking visible in only 1000 years.

And anyway, the evolution Thunder supposedly went through is so stupid?? What’s the point of his wings’ surface area being decreased?? He can catch marginally less draft with those shit fuck wings??? And his PROPORTIONS OH MY LORDDD. He’s just inbred I have no other explanation. And his stupid fucking snout. Pugification of the night light. And I’m not even going to comment on the stupid ass tail there is literally no point. Why did they give him an aeroplane tail. They took one of the most recognisable features of the fury species and just fucked it. He can’t fucking shift air flow and change direction with that shit oml😭

Anyway moving on before this post just turns into a tnr night-light rant,

Feathers!!! - Species Featherhide (how creative)

Feathers is probably my favourite design from the canonical tnr dragons. I’m a massive fan of the parrot theme they went with!!! But one gripe I have is that she does seem just a bit too generic. She has pretty colours and some feathers on her head and tail. But like. That’s it. They didn’t really do anything else with the chameleon crap she’s got going on (for those who don’t know, her species has the same camouflaging ability as the changewings).

So, I went a lot more traditional reptile looking with her, and added way more feathers and general details to her design. I did consider making her eyes chameleon like, but it ended up looking a bit off. I like to think she scampers around and constantly licks her eyes, even though she’s perfectly capable of blinking.

Next up, Plowhorn - Species Gembreaker

I love love LOVE the beetle thing going on with her wings!!. It’s just incorporated into the design in such an awkward way😭 There’s so much space Beneath the beetle shell and her back, which makes them look glued on.

Anyway for the redesign I leaned more into the rhino theme they got going on, tough skin and big chunky face horns. (By the way- the placement of the horn on her face is SO off putting and I can’t quite explain why. It’s just. ????. Why is she an extremely scaly unicorn that got the pug treatment???) and I gave her ears cuz her canon design looks insanely bald.

I also attempted to un-derp her a bit. Cuz. I mean fucking look at her bro that shit is NOT scary😭

I really like the idea of half blue half red on this guy (I think it’s a he?), it makes for a cool Fire and Water theme.

My main problem with the canon design is how forced the colours kinda feel. Hard red to yellow to blue with a slight fade transition. Come on guys, incorporate your colours into the design!

Their heads as well. They’re just. Not nice to look at. The ends of their noses are making me incredibly uncomfortable. They look like spoon billed borzois

Kind of a spoiler but the latest AiPri sticker book had some pretty interesting stuff like Ring, Subaru, Otome and Bibi's signs and Ring, Sakura, Tamaki, Airi and Rinrin's Prisomething mascots that have yet to debut in the anime. Ring has a unicorn, Sakura has some kind of bunny, Tamaki has what seems to be an hamster, Airi has a lizard/chameleon and Rinrin has a bear ofc.

The “Illustrated Fantasy Book Guide” is a magazine-format book (or mook) released in 1989 by the publisher of ファミコン必勝本 “Famicon Winning Book”, an NES gaming magazine. The mook lists 37 works of fantasy originally written in English except for “Ficciones” by Borges. The editors of “Famicon Winning Book” were fond of the Wizardry port to the NES, which is my explanation for their interest in this stuff. In any case, they created the best Appendix N so to speak of fantasy translated into Japanese that I have yet found. The Japanese titles are provided below to aid the online searches of would-be buyers.

Oren's chest can pretty much glow the entire time, so it isn't just a thing when horror mode happens- When he gained his headphones, they're sometimes used for detecting other sounds- They're also a bit connected to the sound of his heartbeat

Raddy has super strength and I imagine him to be a fire elemental, so he has fire related powers- He also has the ability to extend his spikes for defense

Clukr can still take off the cymbal on his head and make it bigger to use it as a shield or weapon- How does he take it off? He takes off his horn first

Fun Bot does have a few abilities besides making music- They can stretch out their arms, create electricity and control time with their screen, such as freezing time or reversing (which they couldn't do once horror mode arrives)

Since Vineria is partially a plant, she's basically a plant elemental- She can grow vines that she can use as tentacles and grow different plants of any size

Gray can levitate, turning invisible, blending in similar to a chameleon and can duplicate himself, which all of that makes sense since he's partially a demon- He can also shapeshift, but he isn't that advanced as Blackwell

Brud can use some of his magic from his unicorn horn to levitate things- And I'm not sure if this counts as an ability but he can control his pain tolerance and he's made out of cake on the inside since he's dessert based (for context, check out my horror design for him)

Garnold has built weapons into his suit, mostly made for defense- He can breathe underwater since he's still part fish- I also imagine him waterbending for some weird reason lol

OWAKCX, like I showed in the study, can make static shock but he only makes them when he's scared or threatened- How? He has lots of fur :P

Sky can make plushies out of thin air, which is how he got his collection lol- He can also change size (it's mostly shrinking to the size of an action figure) and summon clouds- It runs in the family ^^

Mr. Sun (or just Sun) has the power to control day and night and he can work like the actual sun and moon since he can shapeshift into both forms- Since he's a deity, he can also change between his sun/moon appearence, his true deity form and his regular Sprunki form

Durple is now a wind dragon instead of a fire one unlike his Feeling Sprunki counterpart- He has super strong breath that is used to blow things away- He does have wings but he can only lift off the ground by a few inches since he appeared with small ones

When Mr. Tree (or Oak) is in his tree form, he produces fruit for the Spunkis in case they're hungry- He does go through seasons like a normal tree does and like Mr. Sun, he can also shapeshift cuz he's also a deity

Simon also has super speed, but is a little faster than Raddy- He's an electric elemental, so he'll probably have lightning abilities, and his antennas glow in the dark- He also has super strong teeth that he can use to chomp through almost anything

Tunner does super good hearing since he's part dog- He can also control sand and dust and has a bit of regeneration, maybe cuz he's also part axolotl probably?

Mr. Fun Computer kinda has almost the same abilities as his siblings :T

Wenda can extend her claws and tail to grab onto things- She also has some good agility, which is how she escaped the underlings in horror mode, despite her injury

I do imagine Pinki calming and soothing Sprunkis with her singing voice, she's part angel, after all- The bow on her head that she gained can be changed into a pen or a pencil and anything she draws comes to life (no thank you Gummy Dora -v-")

Jevin can teleport, blend into shadows and can use levitation- And since he's a leader of a cult, he does do some witchcraft from a spellbook he has

Blackwell has dark magic and can shapeshift, and he does have more experience since he's older- He's probably made of some kind of substance, which is why he's melting in his horror design, but he only does that when he's stressed

I wrote this to go with it initially : "Lately I've noticed local graphitti depicting a very specific chimera, which I've come to know as "Cupcake the Winged Serpent". She seems to be a metaphor for hope and prosperity, which is heartwarming to see, even if unusual to me. She's depicted as an albino python with dove wings and a unicorn horn, and it's unknown if she was ever a real creature, or just an imaginary cryptid."

Fun fact! Ichigo is a chimera of a Human, Draconai, and a Keystone! They're specifically a soul fusion :) (Keystones, when taken out of their habitat, are called Winter Rot. I will post about them super soon)
