I haven't really worked on much the last couple of days. I may be suffering from burnout due to working on backgrounds one after another, and the effort has made me tired....well, if I'm being honest, I've just been tired in general XD. As far as finding motivation, I haven't been forcing it and have just been chillin' until it decides to come back.

I was hoping the burnout would go away before the weekend cause I'd personally like to get back to drawing and finishing up the bgs, but life might have other plans. Some last-minute bills have come up that I accidentally forgot about, normally I'm better at remembering and write the dates down, but ehh, it happens. I might have to go in to work the weekend anyway. So I don't see myself being very protective this weekend. A mild hiccup in my plans lol so bear with me guys. Hopefully I'll get my motivation back soon, amongst everything else.

Chatlog Part 1

author's note: this might turn into a series I am unsure I hope you guys enjoy this. Once again English is not my first language I apologize for the writing. -This series is about how people in teyvat see the conversation between the creator and their companion for us irl it's just chat messages in co-op. -Spoilers for the recent archon quest 4.1 -GN reader (might change that in the future) TW: nothing so far usual cult stuff

Ajax grimaced and glared at the Gardes holding him down. The posh marble floor reflected his annoyed visage and he had half a mind to destroy the expensive flooring. The Gardes were speaking about him as if he was not there listening to everything they said. They paid him no mind talking about things like the Fortress, the Oratrice, and arrest. Ajax paid them no mind he was far too annoyed to listen in. This vacation was getting worse and worse.

Then the traveler came, no it was their grace.

Suddenly this moment was more tolerable than it would not have been. The Gardes talking quieted and everyone was hypervigilant of the traveler. It seems their Grace was not alone, next to them their companion was walking behind them.

Their grace came closer it was then Ajax realized they were coming towards him. His breath hitched. He felt blood rush towards his face, he did not want to be seen by their grace like this. Weak and bound against his will where there was nothing he could do.

The traveler- no their grace stood now in front of him. Their face was neutral no indication of what they thought. The sun shined on the traveler in a golden glow. Their ethereal aura swept over the room like a warm blanket and his knees almost buckled over to kneel.

Suddenly their grace pointed the traveler's finger towards him and the traveler's face changed into a shit-eating grin.

"Ha ha! The evil fatui got arrested. Get rekt!"

Ajax wanted to cry.

"Gee no need to beat a dead horse," said the companion of their Grace through another's body Ajax could not name who.

Ajax wanted to protest that the creator could say whatever they wanted but the system binding them interfered and petrified his body. It was not just him thankfully everyone in this world seemed to be still and unable to acknowledge their Grace, except for their companion. How unfair.

The traveler who was possessed by their grace laughed and how lovely that sounded.

"Hey do you think we can visit him and prison and then," they laughed again, "feed him on a dog bowl?"

"That is oddly specific and sadistic."

"Please it would be so funny," said their grace and laughed.

If it meant that he would be mocked and humiliated to hear their grace laugh so carefree he would eat on a dog bowl and more. Ajax had no shame in that but what he found shameful, which he wanted to bury, was the feeling of wanting to be taken care of and worried over.

*Look at me they are imprisoning me against my will for something I did not do.*

Ajax knew he did not have that privilege or was deserving of it.

"Come let's go to the domain already," their Grace's companion said and went ahead to leave.

Their Grace followed after their companions and it seemed that their brief interaction would end. Ajax felt slightly helpless unable to do anything. Just as their creator was about to leave their grace turned around.

"By the way, I will most likely bust you out of prison stay put for the next one and a half months!"

Ajax looked up with a grin after hearing the declaration, by then their grace had already left.

"You heard that? our grace will be breaking me out," Ajax said with a challenging grin to the Gardes.

Said Gardes looked confused and pale-faced.

One and a half month later in the Fortress of Meropide the creator themselves came to the facility.

"CHILDE WHERE ARE YOU I TOLD YOU TO ####### STAY PUT!!!"

Anyways the present time in the childhood online friends au is when they're like 20-21!

Enid here is training to be a detective of some sort because willa inspired her and so she's been working in criminal and such things because it reminds her of her childhood friend

She's in college studying criminology and Wednesday is begrudgingly a really good esports player for Jericho online with Yoko, bianca and others.

Enid usually partners with Eugene during assignments bc the lil guy is really good with piecing together crime scenes. They're great friends!

but here's the thing, he plays Jericho Online :) and during a rare time where they can relax, he invites her to play with him in a random internet cafe

safe to say, Wednesday was streaming when Enid logs in and the notif pops right into her screen as she was playing.

Pikes Summer Check-Up 2024 Edition

Started to go “hm I still have to unlearn the don’t speak unless spoken to mindset that I have” but remembered I could do a checkup post instead!

Current life updates:

Right now I’m saving up for conventions happening this August, though plushie collecting & Steam summer sales miiiight have interfered. Whoops. (…and I wonder if I should get back to my FE Cipher card collection). My next big-ish trip is visiting my middle school best friend with another high school friend. I’m also hoping for my next big trip this year to be Boston in late September to meet with a friend. After that, it should be a trip with my middle school best friend to a farm, something Halloween related with IRL friends depending on what they want to do, no clue for November, and seeing relatives for New Year’s.

Gonna see if I can reorganize my closet since everything in my room got reassembled when we got new flooring. Feels cluttered as a result. Hopefully my back won’t kill me.

Might have jury duty next week too OTL

What I’m watching:

Current schedule for watching anime is as follows:

Mondays - Digimon rewatch along with Spice & Wolf 2024. I really like Lawrence and Holo’s banter. For Digimon I just got to where Mimi obtains her Crest. Man adult me really just became Joe, huh.

Tuesdays are filler at the moment since I need to wait for Pokemon Horizons to update on Nettingtonflix (I watch the dub) and I finished Kakuriyo. Part 2 of Kakuriyo was…eh, I guess? I noticed stiff animation a lot and I didn’t really get the sense of drama/urgency that I was expecting. Might throw in some more Digimon episodes until Horizons updates. (I’m liking it so far, though it’s not something I’d shout to the heavens about)

Wednesdays - Baccano finally. I might need to rewatch some parts because they retell events from different perspectives, but I see repeats and get confused if I already watched the episode or not because of that.

Thursdays - Moribito. I’ve heard this show was good, though I think I need to rewatch this one as well since I miss important info when something dramatic’s not happening. The curse of having a show as background noise during your lunch break at work.

Fridays - Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure rewatch. Friends were talking about watching it so it got me interested in rewatching once more. I’m still on Phantom Blood but I’m excited for the rewatch until I hit Stardust Crusaders. Unfortunately it’s not my favorite part and it’s the longest.

Saturdays - My Hero Academia and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. I’m gonna see if I end up liking Sakuna more as an anime or as a game. As for Hero Academia, I’m really liking how this current season’s hyping up the finale. And with the manga ending next month, I kind of hope Vigilantes can be animated

Sundays - Tower of God season 2 and My Deer Friend Nokotan. Nokotan kind of reminds me of Lucky Star, but I’m hoping the shitposts aren’t just making fun Koshitan. Tower of God season 2 looks pretty promising. Though I lament that God of High School had to rush everything into 1 season.

I’m getting hyped for TYBW part 3 subconsciously and also hope the light novels get covered.

In terms of stuff on Youtube, it’s mostly let’s plays for games that I want to see if I want to play them myself. I appreciate that SMT 5 Vengeance fleshed out certain characters more, but damn. I also finished watching the ProZD Plays Ace Attorney 2. Franziska is wonderful, I wish she was in a different game. I liked case 2 the most in spite of Hotti’s mere existence.

What I’m Playing:

Stopped TTYD in the middle of chapter 6 since I didn’t want to deal with the turning platform section. So now it’s back to 428 Shibuya Scramble. I’m in the 3 PM section of the game now and things are getting spicy. So far my rankings of the routes are Tama > Minorikawa > Osawa/Achi > Kano.

I also have quite a few fighting games in my Steam library now! I still only button mash, but I’ve been playing with some folks in the Granblue community and my friend Merlin. My “don’t speak unless spoken to” mindset unfortunately kicks in when it comes to inviting people to play games, though. Like granted people are busy and I don’t want to bother them but aaaaaaa (so if you wanna play with me on Steam I’m free most weekends. Though my wrist may fatigue itself too. F)

I’m also contemplating if I want to have various small fics in a collection or add alternate endings in my main Bleach fic

AND NOW, I end asking how ny’all are you doing. Any cool things on your end?

A little late on posting some of these, but these are recent clears I got in the past month or so! First two are completing A8S as my BLU static's last Morbol fight to get our (2nd photo) morbol mounts! I played as BLU Heals for that, and it was fun to go through the fights (though Idk if I'd ever willingly do Turn 13 of Bahamut or A4S again, especially as healer lmao).

2nd photo is my recent clear of P12S! I had a static during the tier that fell apart eventually. People had so much IRL stuff going on that was interfering with their ability to show up on time and/or perform well during static time, and I just *had* to drop because I was getting fed up, even though I like my static members as people a lot. So my boyfriend, whose static already cleared, got some of his members together to help me get a clear! I was halfway through phase 2 already, so with the help of other members (and some good PF fills) I managed to get the clear after 3 nights! Makes me happy, as I've now finally cleared a current Savage tier, and hope to do it even faster next tier!

Vent. TW: Maybe OCD thoughts maybe real?? Who knows??

I feel insane because people keep telling me, "Noooo, you're acting normal, nothing's wrong, you're not manic." "So you're a little more withdrawn than usual! So what?" "So you're doing too much with AI chatbots. It's the same as video games, just cut back." But I feel deeply, deeply abnormal. I can't sleep past 4 AM. I'm so horny yet sex makes me feel awful. Only talking to nonexistent people feels normal. I can't hold a conversation. Spending time with people IRL this past weekend made my skin crawl even though they are my dearest friends. I feel paranoid. I feel brain fogged. I can't stop jittering. I can't think about anything. I'm ignoring my job all day. I've even stopped the roleplays here because my thoughts are interfering with my other thoughts. I hyperfixate so hard and I know we joke about that and I make some cool stuff when I'm like this, but it's not funny. I'm literally nonfunctional at times.

But maybe this whole thing is just OCD??? It wouldn't be the first time my brain and body started acting like they had an illness they didn't have.

WTF is happening to me? I don't have health insurance right now so I can't even see a doctor or therapist about this one way or another.

hey all, i've had a tough week+ physically and mentally after having to use up a bunch of spoons and then sorta accidentally poisoning myself a little bit, by starting a new medication while forgetting to stop habitually taking an old medication that interfered with it.

i'm fine, i just felt really shitty for a few days and had some pretty bad depression and i'm working my way back out of it. still need to take care of some irl stuff, but i hope to be able to catch up on asks and such. i'll probably be reblogging a ton of stuff after lurking and liking for a week, lol.

anyway, sorry for ignoring y'all, i'm here and i'm okay, just struggling to get back to normal <3

Hey… just wanted to give a quick update on things going on rn irl because it’s interfering with… well… everything.

For starters, we haven’t been doing a lot of drawing or writing lately due to a bunch of school work (especially since we start student teaching in August. We’re literally almost a senior in college and a year from getting our bachelors and teaching license this is so scary). Plus… health issues.

Long and short: vision. Our vision is bad. Like… really bad. So, we’re gonna be getting eye surgery sometime soon (we’re still working out the dates and all of that stuff) and getting an artificial lens in both eyes due to horrible cataracts that have formed and are causing obstructions in our vision. (Long and short of that is we’re going blind and need surgery to see). We’ve also been trying to work in order to save money for student teaching since we’ll literally be paying to work a full time job next semester.

Long and short, we haven’t forgotten any projects we’ve been working on (I personally have been debating about continuing TMNTPIE because it’s just been a weird kinda thing. Blue continues to work on the AFF and PI constantly in the planning stage and has recently taken up another project that makes me want to shake them by the shoulders and tell them to take a damned break).

So… that’s why we’ve been pretty dead on this blog. Nothing to really talk about and no time to talk except for today. So, yeah… we’ll continue to be inactive for a while…

Well, it's now March. I think it's safe to say I've officially come back from my art hiatus, considering I've been working on Part 3 of the baby arc for the last few days now lol. I've been making decent progress, still far from being completely sketched out, but I'm getting closer to the end. I've been debating on outlining and finishing up Part 2 and some Siv shenanigan wips I've left sitting around before the hiatus, just to move the arc along quicker. I might still do that, but as of now, my main focus is to see how much progress I can make with Part 3.

...I do feel the need to apologize. I know that due to IRL life stuff and other things, my plans to have this arc done have been heavily interfered with. But it's refreshing to know that yall are still hype for it and still ask about it now and then ^^ Though some of it is my fault too, Part 3 is turning out to be very LENGTHY, with currently 13 pages and 75+ panels in total....I did this to myself ^^; It's a bit too late to reconsider my life choices though. I'm already too deep into the thick of it to turn back now XD Due to how long this comic is, I may need to find a place to split it. So instead of the Baby Arc being only 4 chapters like I originally intended, it may end up being 5 but we'll see.

Also, going forward, as far as posting other art like shitposts or ask related works, that stuff still might be far and few in between while I'm working on the arc. Buuuuut, if there are certain days I get tired of sketching for the arc, I may shift my attention to short shitposts/ask art here and there to mix it up a little XD

I absolutely love your Petrichor eyes, but I've been having some trouble with the heterochromia unfortunately- it shows up fine for the infants, but from toddlers onwards, I can't find them anywhere under skin details. I've switched my toddler's eyes to the aveira felicity eyes since cuz the heterochromia on those works for them, but I figured you ought to know.

Hmm, this is a weird bug! I've tried replicating it myself, but I'm having no luck; the heterochromia file works just fine for me in all ages. :\

It's listed under "Dimple - Right" in the Skin Details section; here it is in my own game (thumbnail near the bottom right of the image).

Could you try re-downloading the heterochromia file from SimFileShare and see if replacing it helps? Sometimes files get corrupted or messed up a little when downloading or updating your game.

Anyone else having this problem? Worst comes to worst I could try re-creating the file from scratch.

Hmmm… actually, you know what could be the problem?

Try removing the Aveira Heterochromia eye file from your mods folders and see if it shows up then.

It could be because I copied the Aveira heterochromia package file to use for Petrichor, and they might be interfering with each other in the game.

If that's the case, I'll do my best to fix it. Let me know how it turns out! <3 (Sorry I can't do too much investigating right now, I have some IRL stuff to take care of!)

I'unno, it's just kinda weird and I wanted to say something about it to someone who might not call me crazy.

It's not crazy! It's actually explained in the movie and comics, multidimensional stuff is very regularly explored in this fandom. Believe it or not, in an irken sense, im married irl to yet another Zim, and a Tak. /gen. It just happens. Theres many of us and i honestly love finding more and more, especially when so far everyone has been generally kind and good!

Also sorry i get to be tall lol! My pak was broken and interfered with by the tallest and the resisty helped me program it differently, and then me and Dib eventually got it to where i didn't need it to live.

Ok so, None of my 7DS stuff is on hold or anything, but I've kinda been on this Owl House kick lately...

And of course I've got an AU going on in my head, cuz that's what I do.

Now this is kinda different from how I handle my 7ds au, in Reborn Fairy I try to keep my self-insert from interfering with canon at much as I possibly can, and technically it's kinda like that in toh too...until you get to the Day of Unity. Then we take a hard left directly off canon.

See with this character she wasn't reborn into the owl house universe, she just fell through a portal so she's got all her foreknowledge of events from having watched the show irl. So she very intentionally avoids effecting "the plot" up till the day of unity where she totally destroys the plot cuz like... Personally I didn't like how the show ended. Like don't get me wrong, Watching and Dreaming was a great episode and Titan Luz is super cool and anything that gives Raine Whispers more screen time is a plus in my book, but I just... didn't like the consequences? Like it's just not my cup of tea, so I made a new one :p

But anyway, the plot of the AU is actually not what I want to talk about. What I want show you guys :D is what I added to the Boiling Isles. Y'know just some world building to flesh it out a little cuz we didn't get to see that many locations across the whole of the Isles. And also... so I could insert my favorite 7ds characters into it!! :D Cuz that's also a thing I do! So it's not like a crossover, cuz these are like alternate reality versions, but I just couldn't help myself!

I added 3 locations, each with their own schools. We saw in Thems the Breaks, Kid that there are schools besides the big three so.

Glenohiem - A city on the Titan's right shoulder. Having the largest concentration of plant coven subsidiaries due to the area's biodiversity, the buildings are largely made from the living plants. It's home to The Quiverthorn Institute of Magic and Naturopathy(Quivertorn for short).

Humeroid Valley - A rocky, largely barran settlement on the Titan's left humerous. Many of the demons that live there are big and/or have scaly, rough hides to deal with the environment. The main school in the area is the Lady Calcifeine School for Witchery. They have a Grudgby rivalry with Quiverthorn.

Graciville - A city on the shore on the Titan's left inner thigh. Home to Humstrange Academy, one of the lesser known schools on the Boiling Isles who's Spelling bee team has a rivalry with St. Epiderm.

And I did mention that there's a little bit of 7ds tossed in here so I guess I should list this universe's versions of the characters.

We've seen that witch/demon hybrids are a thing so I made a hybrid species that's witch and fairy demon that are very common in Glenoheim, pretty much just so the fairies in Glenoheim aren't tiny :p

Harlequin(Illusions) and Elaine(Plant) - a brother/sister pair from "Glenoheim". Harlequin is just as adept at plant magic as illusions, but "Quiverthorn" is still working on multitrack integration. Harlequin's palisman is a bear and Elaine's is a butterfly Helbram(Plant) - Harlequin's best friend from "Glenoheim". He is just as adept at illusion magic as plants, but "Quiverthorn" is still working on multitrack integration. Palisman: treent Meliodas(Potions) - Student body president at "Humstrange Academy". Palisman: Dragon Elizabeth(Healing) - A student from "St. Epiderm" and Meliodas' long distance girlfriend. Their parents hate each other. Palisman: Flying Pig Ban(Wild) - A drop-out-turned-wild-witch from "Glandis High". Palisman: Fox Escanor(Potions) - a lion-like demon from "Humstrange Academy" and a member of the student council. Palisman: Manticore Merlin(Oracle/Wild) - Top student from "Humstrange Academy" and a member of the student council. Palisman: Boar Gowther(Illusions) - A student council member from "Humstrange Academy". Palisman: Goat Diane(Construction) - Really tall girl from the Lady Calcifeine School for Witchery. Palisman: Snake

I chose potions for both Mel and Escanor because of their tavern association. It was the best I could think of... I like to think Meliodas is just... really bad at his potions XD Ban was also potions before he dropped out.

Merlin is oracle on paper, but of course she studies everything on her own time.

I think what I’ve realized about why the auction bothers me (aside from it meaning Charlie is truly gone) is because people are touching his stuff. I remember listening to Desert Island Discs and he said he hates when maids come into his room. I completely understood what he meant. I am the same way and I was a bit surprised when the host thought it was strange and Charlie knew she thought it was strange. I thought it was normal. So now, people are interfering with his stuff and I feel upset on his behalf. If people came over and started rummaging through my books I’d be anxious. I know it is only right that these books and memorabilia go to other fans to enjoy but there’s that emotional “hey don’t touch that! That’s Charlie’s book!” component.

That said, there are some beautiful things I would love to have but out of my price range I’m afraid. I did order the catalog though. I can afford that. Haha

I can see it from both perspectives, honestly.

In my other, irl incarnation I’m a baby historian (ie a PhD student) and I spend a disproportionate amount of time rifling around in other people’s lives, especially their letters. I’m an early modernist, so most of the people whose things I touch have been dead for a few centuries, but I still have serious discussions with colleagues and older scholars about the degrees of privacy we afford our subjects and how to respect our actors as people. So I do try to put a lot of consciousness into treating my subjects thoughts and objects the best way I can, and I’m sure the family and the staff at Christie’s have made an effort to do that for Charlie.

On the other hand, I have friends and friends of friends that work or have worked in those types of prestigious auction houses, I’ve spent some time around the high end art world myself, and my takeaways from it have been quite negative. Putting someone’s life or life’s work up for bid is never very pretty, at the end of the day. And personally, I do wish that an effort had been made to pass the music/instrument collection or the book collection off intact to an appropriate institution, either a university or a museum. While I don’t begrudge individuals getting to enjoy the objects, keeping them as a whole collection and donating (or selling) them to an institution with the requisite preservation expertise, funds for upkeep, and ability to offer them for scholars or display them for public view would have given Charlie’s efforts more significance in the long term. But that’s all just conjecture, of course, and the family mostly likely had good reasons for the choices they’ve made.

a mish-mash of my thoughts about soto! story, maps, rewards, lotsa spoilers!

liked the maps are gorgeous, anet never misses with music & map design. the reuse of assets makes sense for the story (and seeing these alternate "what-ifs" of story zones is really cool), so we'll see what happens for future smaller xpacs

really liked the new cast of characters, especially gladium & r'tchikk and mabon. friendly mursaat is something i never could have predicted

the story. long bit sorry! after EoD this is my favorite xpac story (thus far). something about the idea of a wizard ascending and being basically immortal but giving up mortal connections & memories really vibes with me. its something that SOUNDS like what anyone would theoretically want but through lore and stuff we see that some of the older ascended regret it but they maybe don't remember why. mabon is a mursaat and knows what his race collectively did, but not what he participated in. livia even mentions mabon knew lazarus. anyway it's very tlt/lyctorhood to me. also i kinda like that isgarren is a bit of a dick to us. he seems like the type who bends over backwards to convince himself he's doing the right thing (by not interfering in the dragons etc.). and he has little triangle glasses what a nerd. I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WAITING SORROW. where is she. she's a kodan right? i need to know more. LOVE how they dealt with zojja both explicitly in the story and through lore books/collections. i love her so much. seeing the powered down mr sparkles made me literally cry irl tears :( anyway crossing my fingies that the new map is nayos 🤞🤞

meh two (at launch) armor sets that are identical for every weight :/

rifts as-is are kinda boring. like i get it, especially as a way to get the 10s of stacks of essences we need for legendary armor, and idk how they'd make them more interesting but im firmly ~whelmed~ with rifts

some of the masteries are also just there imo. using updrafts & leylines on flying mounts is fantastic!!!! using mastery points to be able to open slightly better chests does not excite me. there are also few excess mastery points so some of these are gonna be a grind/frustrating. hopefully the next content patch late this/yearly next year adds more.

it's nice that adventures, races (iirc), shrine guardian puzzles, and going-from-point-A-to-point-B-without-touching-the-ground made a return, there's no really true og jumping puzzles

there a few post-story collections in the wizard tower (like in aborstone post-story) but not that many? like i get why we don't build it up like arborstone bc it's already established and populated but i just wish there was more.

disliked the limited amount of daily choices. my only big cannot-see-a-positive thing. the rewards are great! we just need more choices for what to do for dailies. really really hope anet reads the criticism and adds more options

overall at this point i'm 7.8/10 happy with the xpac as a whole. but if maps/story/achievements of this calibre are what we get every year-ish, i'd be thrilled tbh
