Roommate left to go to his parents' house for Christmas, so we're taking care of his critters (including Leo). K and I spent quite a while yesterday doing remedial grooming on this guy, trying to detangle his mane. It was 100% elf-locks when he arrived here. We got it looking much better. Don't know what to do about that tail, though.

Horsing around

Ok, guys; as promised.

(brief trumpet fanfare)

Hero was waiting patiently this morning for his new friend to be taken out of the barn this morning. Sorta patiently.

There was a LOT of sniffing. Sniffing noses, butts, noses again. Squealing, hopping around. Missile threw hooves, but not really seriously. Just 'communicating.'

Part of Leo's chunkiness is due to being half draft breed, part is just, um. Chunk. Ideally, he will lose a little weight in the next few months. Most of his white is on his right side.

He needs about five hours of mane and tail combing. Also, Roommate is going to have to buy a bigger girth strap. No way the tack that fit Missile will fit this guy.
