The only one of my horses in SSO my little sister remembers by name is Amethyst, so she is quite obsessed with her.

The thing is, everytime she watches me play, she asks me if I'm going to ride Amethyst, and even though I love how Amethyst (Laverna) looks, I prefer riding my DWBs. The last time she watched me ride was during the Winter Village and she asked me again if I'm going to ride Amethyst. I told her no (I was training my new horses). She asks again. So I told her that Amethyst doesn't like snow because it's cold, that's why I don't ride her. And it worked?? She just accepted it

So I guess Amethyst doesn't like snow or cold lol

New Game Blog just came out, this time with questions from players for the game's CEO Johan

Here are some answered questions that I found interesting:

Would you ever revisit and revamp Starshine Legacy? For our tenth anniversary we did a remaster of the Starshine Legacy games and made them available to play directly on our website (you can find them here https://www.starstable.com/se/starshine-legacy ). There are still many locations that I love in these games that haven’t made it into SSO and that I would love to see there when the time is right! 

Any hints for the future? We have many plans for the future that I would like to tell you about, but I will hold back on that so that we can share what is coming when the time is right and we know that we can deliver! But I can tell one thing! We are continuing to deliver lots of improvements to our core technology, the engine which the game runs on. This is something that will become apparent to you in the shape of performance improvements, better game stability, and new features! It will also allow us to keep delivering a great experience to you for many, many, many, many years to come!

When are we getting more story quests?  Last year we ran into some unexpected challenges when the story quest we were working on didn’t turn out the way we wanted. So we took a break, focused on delivering the Winter Festival and the amazing content that you’ll get to see in February that continues to build on something we released last year. Now we have gone back and are working on what should come next in the story quests - they mean a lot to us and we know that they mean a lot to you! We promise to keep you updated!

When are you expanding the map? Funny that you should ask this … During the last few years we have focused on populating the parts of the map that you already have access to. In 2023 we gave you Hollow Woods and last year we shipped Silverglade Equestrian Centre. While we will continue to improve the experiences across the currently accessible parts of Jorvik, we have also started to investigate if it is indeed time to expand the map. If everything goes as planned you might get to hear more about this later in the year!

The second Star (collection) event at Aideen's Plaza is still active even if the player has already collected it before - affects all players, all platforms

Red squirrel, black squireel and white Mistfall chipmunk are deformed - affects all players, all platforms

Lisa missing during "Aideen's song at first light" for some players - affects some players, all platforms

The app version for the Ardennes can't change the mane style - affects all players, all platforms

Some players are not receiving all lore books during Soul Riding - affects all players, all platforms

Horses without a special trick may get stuck if the space bar is pressed while standing still - affects all players, desktop only

The hotkey to interact with objects in-game ("E") sometimes appears in the sky. If the player presses "E" while this prompt is visible, they are teleported back to their home stable and become stuck - affects all players, desktop only

Fixed issues January 27th-31st

Players can now interact with Linda in her room to start the quests related to "Catherine's Memories."

Players can now interact with Anne to complete the quest "Riding Out".

Horse consumables and other items can now be used via drag-and-drop as intended.

Smoothed out uneven terrain around Forgotten Fields to prevent players from getting stuck.

Items crafted in Farah's Workshop no longer incorrectly display the "bandages" icon in the final pop up message.

Non-heavy horses now correctly play hoof sounds when landing from a rear.

The 4th Star in Valedale can now be collected.

The "Hide My Hat" (only to me) pop up no longer appears on login when the setting is already checked.

Players are no longer teleported back to the hair salon at the Silverglade Manor after using a different hair salon in another area.

The music during Jorvik Dressage mastery now stops playing once the race is completed.

Collision issues on the horse transports have been resolved, preventing players from getting stuck.

Global chat now remains enabled after travelling from different spaces.

The high-score window now correctly displays the competition list on mobile.

The Friesian and Friesian Sporthorse (Gen 3) now correctly play sound during the rear animation.

Bolt (Gen 3) now correctly plays sound during reverse and rear animation.

Resolved an issue where walking pets would randomly jump back into the saddle bag.

Fixed an issue where one of the hidden glyphs was incorrectly positioned underground in Hollow Woods.

Medieval Stables!

If you want to style your stables for the occasion, there are a bunch of new customization options in the catalogue in your stable! Maybe you're interested in a neutral, medieval look with classical wood and stone looks. Or, perhaps you're looking to proudly represent your house's colors with the new editions of our Moorland and Brickhaven styles. The choice is yours! And if you're a dragon fan, don't forget to take a look at the new, medieval stall ornaments.

This is the final week of the Trail of Wanderlust! It's time to wrap up any last levels you might be missing, before this trail leaves during the Wednesday update on February 5th. Leaving that day is also the snow! So this is the last week to cozy up in the warmest outfits you have, before stowing away the jackets for next winter!

Cheating Ban

FAQ

Will this affect those who have acquired unreleased items, pets, and/or horses?

Yes, using third-party cheat engines to modify our files in any shape or form is against our terms and conditions and can potentially put your device and personal information at risk. Therefore, proof that an account has used unauthorized third-party tools to obtain unreleased items will result in a ban. This also applies to horses acquired after their retirement.

There is a big community of people who offer services to give you unreleased items, horses, and pets. How will this affect those people who purchase it or are selling it?

Yes, this applies to accounts that use these services, as they use unauthorized external tools to do so. 

What if you used cheats prior to the zero tolerance, will your account be banned? 

Yes, if there is evidence of doing so, the account will be banned. 

Are you IP banning affected accounts?

We realize that players are able to make new accounts and new IP’s. Rather than IP ban, we will continue to ban offending accounts.

Why are these tools harmful?

Account Security: Some tools require sharing sensitive account information, putting players at risk of account theft or loss.

Safety Concerns: Downloading unauthorized programs can lead to unsafe software that compromises your security.

Game Stability: These modifications can break the game—not just for the cheater but for everyone they interact with—ruining the experience for all players.

Another foal aged up in a very interesting colour thanks to its genes and I got an idea

Would anyone be interested in a little game here on tumblr, where I post a photo of a horse from Horse Reality and give you options for which colour genes does the horse have, and you can choose an option (poll) and after the poll runs out, I reveal the answer?

Or I can do it the way I did the howrse showoff thing, where each day there is a scheduled post with one horse and it's breed and genetics.

What do you say? Which one would you like to see? I would love to share them (I'm learning so much about genetics!) but idk which way would be better, so I'm asking you what you would prefer

After like a year of being at Starshine Ranch, I officially moved my home stable to Silverglade Manor/Equestrian Center.

Not gonna lie, I really like the updated look and there's so much to do and most of the map feels closer (except for Valedale ig). And also with the upcoming activities for Medieval Arena, it's nice to be closer
