Decorate your home stable with new customization options for festive flair.  Impress the Baroness with your skills, and if you’re up for even more adventure, set out on a treasure hunt with new areas each week!

Bustling Bazaar!

April 16th

Have you impressed the Baroness yet? Show off your skills and earn her respect! Dress the part with elegant equestrian sets, and if you need a horse that can keep up, head to the Bazaar in Moorland to find the perfect match. Plus, the treasure hunt continues, expanding into a brand-new area!

The final week of the Equestrian Festival! Have you proven your skills to the Baroness? She’ll reward only the most skilled competitors with a special gift. Test your horse knowledge with a daily horse quiz and the treasure hunt expands into a final area! Wrap up the festivities before the festival bids farewell until next year!

A New Instructor in Town!

There’s a new face riding around the Silverglade Village town square, and it seems to be a bit lost! Lara is a new arrival to Jorvik, about to start her new job as a riding instructor at the Silverglade Equestrian Center. You can find her, and her gorgeous horse Fabiola, in front of the Town Hall to help them get settled in!

Paddock Props!

To continue on the training route, we’ve now also added paddock props to the paddock by the Manor! There are two show jumping exercises: one with poles and bounces for you to really practice the communication between you and your horse, and one bigger course for you to get ready for upcoming competitions! On top of the jumping setup, there is also a dressage arena ready for use. After all, to master jumping, you must have a good base in dressage!

Update Warning In Game!

Today, as you may have noticed, we tried a new way to notify you that the Wednesday update was about to start! All our players who were online got a ten minute heads up, a five minute heads up, and then a message when the servers were about to go down. If you weren’t online at this time, you were not able to log on during the heads up period. This is to make sure that nobody gets interrupted in the middle of working on something in game - now you have time to finish up any races and quests you may be doing! We hope this was helpful for you!

This blog has two parts: What's planned for this year and BTS for the Hanoverian. There is a lot of information, so I recommend reading it in full, since I'm going to mention points only from the first half (I tried to pick only the most important things, but I could've missed or misunderstood something) Spoiler warning in case you don't want to know what's coming/what they're working on

The Year Ahead

Horses:

The leaked horse list was correct, although with the wrong dates - this year's horses are Criollo, Hanoverian, Mule, Rocky Mountain, Andalusian, and Black Forest! Also, we will be getting a new survey for horses for 2026 soon!

Retrofitting:

The new system is still being worked on. Once it's done, gen 3 horses will probably be updated in batches. Hopefully, we will get a blog specifically for this, but for now they're still working on it.

Trailblazer Track:

New Trailblazers will continue throughout the year. While for us, it will probably stay the same, they're planning to work on it from their side, which would allow them to expand on it going forward.

Our Digital Theme Park:

They use the concept of a digital equestrian theme park for Jorvik, creating a variety of themed areas that contain things to see and do, to encourage players to visit each location and providing worthwhile reasons to return

They are concentrating on uplifting areas and filling them with the experiences you're searching for. Hollow Woods was the first area updated with the mindset, followed by Silverglade Equestrian Center. Both areas are not yet finished - Hollow Woods deserves some improvements and balancing (*note: they're probably talking about the garden system that got messed by fixing a bug some time ago). SEC should include progression and activities similar (but not the same!) to the paths in Hollow Woods.

This year's focus area hasn't been opened up to visit yet! The story and lore have been fleshed out, the theming explored, and the potential gameplay initially envisioned. This project will happen later this year, but no specific date yet. (*note: this article is followed by an image with a character sitting on a dragon horse with what seems to be the Marchenghast Castle in the background... wait, is that how it's spelled?)

Main Story Quests:

The next part of the main story was supposed to be released at the end of last year, but it needed more time. It's currently in the production.

This particular release won't end the current story arc, but they aim to get there soon and finally begin the next chapter with the Soul Riders and Dark Riders.

There is no set release date for the quest.

Festivals:

This year, they are focusing on Equestrian, Summer Daze, Western, Halloween, and Winter.

They also have a "Gameplay Activity Refactor" project - looking into festival activities that got removed together with their festival, but could possibly be returned as activities. This project also looks into still existing activities that may need updating. It's still in the investigating phase, so no promising there.

Equipment Refactoring:

This large backend project is changing how the game handles items - with the end goal being possibilities such as new types of tack for your horses, the ability to wear multiple accessories on your character, and more. No deadline here.

Existing Feature Iterations:

The updated wardrobe and home stable customization are expected to be improved, with the help of players through the surveys!

At the Moorland festival grounds, the Bazaar has once again put up its stables. This week it is filled with Lippizaners, English Thoroughbreds, and Dutch Warmbloods! All the horses are at a 40% reduced price:

★ Dutch Warmblood, 569 Star Coins

The Dutch Warmblood and Lipizzaner have one coat available for all our lower level players. Enjoy your new friends!

The Lipizzaner sold at the Medieval Camp is not in the Bazaar this time, due to its recent release. 

Last Week of Trail of Triumph!

It’s time for the final week of the current Trailblazer, and we’re finishing it off with bonus points! If you’re in need of that final push, from March 31st 09:00 server time, to April 2nd 09:00 server time you will receive 30 bonus points on activities, and 2 bonus points on gatherables. Good luck!

And if you don’t manage to get all the items from the Trail this time, fear not - the items will be sold in stores at the end of September!

A Race for Warmbloods!

Guillermo Gadea has brought back his esteemed Horses of Jorvik competitions to the island! This time he has set up the special show jumping race in the Jorvik Stables Arena, fit for our most esteemed jumping horses. You can enter this competition if you are riding a Jorvik Warmblood, Trakehner, Belgian Warmblood, or a Hanoverian of any generation. 

Speak to Guillermo to get started! He will be here until the Wednesday update on April 9th.

Persistent Magical Horses!

The Nixies and the last of the Whinfells are enjoying their last few weeks of sunshine on Jorvik, and have decided to extend their stay! They will leave Jorvik for the last time with the Wednesday update on April 16th! Any horses you’ve bought prior to that update will remain safely in your stables.
