⚡️ Day 10 of #KianasIntroToYoga with @bodytosoulmovement ⚡️⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Congrats on making it to the last day! 🎉⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ For day 10, your posture is a well-deserved Corpse Pose!⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Asana: Corpse Pose⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Sanskrit: Savasana⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Breath: 2-5 minutes of natural breathing⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ How To Practice:⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ✨ Lie on your back with your palms facing up⁠⁠ ✨ Take your legs mat distance apart⁠⁠ ✨ Widen your arms away from the body, but not higher than your heart⁠⁠ ✨ Lengthen your shoulders away from your ears⁠⁠ ✨ Relax your entire body and mind⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Modifications:⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ✨ Place a bolster or a couple blocks under your knees to alleviate back pain⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Many find it challenging to keep their mind still in this posture, some really dread it actually! ⚡️ Day 4 of #KianasIntroToYoga with @bodytosoulmovement ⚡️⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Asana: Pigeon⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Sanskrit: Eka Pada Rajakapotasana⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Breath: 8-10 breaths⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ How To Practice:⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ✨From Downward Dog, exhale to bring your right knee your outer right wrist as you spin your shin in by about 45 degrees⁠⁠ ✨Lower your hips to the mat⁠⁠ ✨Keep your hips squared forward, being careful to avoid rolling over to one hip⁠⁠ ✨Your front knee should be pointing straight forward from your right hip, or slightly wider⁠⁠ ✨Front foot is pointed so that the ankle is an extension of the shin⁠⁠ ✨Back foot is pointed⁠⁠ ✨Forearms are on the ground or you can choose to lift your chest⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Modifications:⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ✨If your hips are very high off the ground, you may place a block under the front hip⁠⁠ ✨There shouldn't be any knee pain in this posture. ⚡️ Day 2 of #KianasIntroToYoga with @bodytosoulmovement ⚡️⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Asana: Warrior I⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Sanskrit: Virabhadrasana I⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ Breath: 3-5 breaths⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ➡️ How To Practice:⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ✨From Downward Dog, exhale to step your right foot forwards between your hands⁠⁠ ✨Shorten your stance a bit by stepping your back up foot up a couple times⁠⁠ ✨Spin your back heel in by 45 degrees⁠⁠ ✨Press down through the pinky toe side edge of your back foot and straighten your back knee fully to feel your back inner thigh lift.
