I've said it before but Sora's arc was so important to me as a queer person who's parents have never been accepting and most likely never will be. Cole's true potential arc episode was great as a general queer coming out allegory but I can't really see myself in it because he has that love and acceptance from his father that I've never had. Sora's parents being the way they are, asking her to come back, to be their daughter, calling her by her deadname, and then her asserting herself as SORA. And that being the catalyst for her true potential. That full acceptance of herself, regardless of what her parents want. Embracing her found family who actually care about who she really is. That spoke to me. That hit hard.

My brain just hit an old hyperfixation (is this what it's called? I hope I used the word right) and oh dear am I losing my mind now. I need to write a story I think. About this one old guy. He's unhinged. There's so much information about him and yet not enough. I want to explore his character so much. He's definitely a criminal - at least he was one - and I'm 95% sure he can do actual real magic, and he's a musician and an artist and an actor and a magician and a philosopher and a traveler and a conman and so much more and also I think he's some kind of immortal. Maybe he just has a VERY long life. It's strongly implied he was a pirate at some point of his life. He started a cult by accident several times. My conspiracy theories about him include him being a secret god.
He's also a freaking round blue raven. Someone save me from my mind.

I swap between them all rapidly LOL .. I feel like she’d be okay with whatever after a while. Clockwork is how she introduced herself for a bit, clocky is what Toby and Nina and Jeff and Ben call her, the other proxies call her clock. Jacks prob the only one who called her clockwork. LMDAOOAOA.
Nobody even knew her real name for a while, and at first Toby was like “im calling u by ur name now.” When he found out. And she was like ok whatever Toby. But he forgot he said that LOL . Occasionally will call her nat when he’s being serious. . Tim Brian and Jack started calling her Natalie after they found out her real name(Jack asked if she was ok with it the other two didn’t care)
She’s just a silly woman. Used to be pretty erratic and easy to piss off, but now she’s just like 👍 ok.

#in fact i know a couple in real life (theyre married) where one of the reasons she liked him early on was that he didnt call her by#the nickname everyone used. because she didnt even like that nickname and just went with it#meanwhile he still remembers her introducing herself with her full name (and a slight lisp apparently) and thought it was perfect as it was#i honestly think we need more of that in media#because as someone who used to have a nickname i hated#i can honestly say that sometimes NOT using the nickname is better#bla.

this has been the most pleasant visit with my mom I've ever had. no fights in our conversations (yet). what happened to my brother was horrific but like. there is nothing like a family member getting [redacted] to radicalize everyone. she basically fucking said ACAB ("the only good cops either leave or get 'accidentally' killed by the other cops" me: "....sorry who are you") to me. and this bitch is. a republican.
I think we will always have differences in opinion but it is so much easier for us both to not fight right now. and to listen to each other. she's had things happen that make it easier for her to listen to me and I feel so much more compassion and less like I'm talking to a brick wall.
I pointed out something I've said repeatedly and she said it made sense/was a good point, for the first time.
I dunno. it's been ass. but she's moving and painting her living room bright yellow with silver wall glitter so the whole room will sparkle. she had me help with the glitter paint because no one else believed that it would look nice but I did because I could picture the light coming in and hitting it and I knew it would be amazing. the hallway & office will be kelly green and the bathroom will be mint green and one bedroom will be purple. she's using bright colors because she needs bright colors right now. and I love bright colors.
I feel nothing but horrible deep sadness in this house up on the mountain where my parents were supposed to live in the woods with sunlight pouring through all the windows. but the new house looks over a pond. there are geese on the water and sometimes it sounds like they're cackling maniacally and it's off putting but it makes me laugh. her neighbors are really nice and I've learned that in East Tennessee the niceness is not so fake. a lot of people move here to be near the woods and they are not mean or crazy or cruel to people who don't look like them. their government is not representative of them and it's awful but they're so so kind. I'm not so afraid to leave my mom here. I can believe that she's in good hands.
our new beginning is not bad. it's hard. and it's work. and we feel the loss and sadness. but it's not bad.

#when i was in middle school i used to use red and black pens + spit for blending to make it look like the backs of my hands were torn open#i can't believe it's almost 4am. i just spent 5 hours typing up an essay about MM's erik that i just fuckin privated bc i was embarrassed#AND I STILL NEVER SPELL HIS NAME RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AAAAAAAA#i was right but im going to save all my points for the fanfic im currently planning out and promptly NEVER GOING TO ACTUALLY WRITE#I say shoving my plans for my h2o s3 rewrite off the table#yes i skipped from s2 to s3 i had a BRILLIANT idea [season 3 h2o spoilers ahead be wary my mutuals who are still watching]#okay so you know how lewis goes to the american institute of marine bio in the middle of 3? since this is tied to my s2 rewrite fic i wante#to actually finally reasonably re-introduced dr denman to the story because i never liked that she just fucked off at the end of s1#despite WITNESSING the moon pool magic. so i made it so she runs into lewis while doing a presentation for the college and they have a chat#(because her JAW paper plays an important part in my s2 rewrite bc i imagine lewis is the kind of guy who SAYS he deleted every copy of#it... but ACTUALLY he secretly printed himself out a copy to study in private to compare to his own notes bc#[lewis voice] come *on* guys just THINK of the progress that he could make with this! Besides from having narrowly avoided being 4k in debt, this is kinda crazy but it's been 3 days since my new quarter started and a handful of people have already become emotionally attached to me for whatever reason
