You know I've been drawing Loop as their Siffrin form so much that it's got me thinking. I've read and seen so many fics and artworks of Loop eventually getting back to looking like their old self, but I don't think I've seen any so far of Loop already being a mirror copy of Siffrin. So uh, yoink?

ISAT AU where the game plays out the same way (plot-wise at least) but Loop looks like Siffrin the whole time and while Siffrin is extremely perplexed that there's another him, he's still gotta accept their help because how else are they supposed to escape the loops? Good ol' Loop is here to help, helpful friendly Loop!

Siffrin is going through it still but Differently.

Hi, New People?

For some unfathomable reason, Tumblr has decided to suggest my blog to brand-new accounts to follow, so I've had a crazy influx of followers who, of the ones that are genuine accounts, probably have no idea what they've signed up for. (sorry.)

Oh, and I also have some new bittern-loving followers who have a slightly better idea but might not know the whole story!

I'm working on a new webcomic called Into the Smoke that's gonna launch soon. It's about a gay medium who binds himself to a killer ghost, and I think my new follower with the car financing blog is gonna love it.

I wanted to focus a bit more on Vaggie and Charlie's feelings with the whole fallen angel thing. I know they had a whole episode in the show about it but I WANTED MORE DAMNIT- XD

one of the posts on this website that haunts me is the one that claims neurotypicals instinctively know to read faster by reading the first and last paragraphs of an article and then skimming it if confused. I can't even begin to understand how someone would form such a bizarre belief.

*I regain consciousness, at my feet is the body of the, now former, head of the port mob… in my right hand is the head of a wooden figure head. The figure head was taken from the boss’s old ship… I look over to see the statue missing a head… splinters everywhere. I feel a warmth at my feet and notice that a pool of blood has formed and is now surrounding my feet. ���What happened, why am I holding this head, what happened to my boss’. I crouch down to examine closer and notice wooden splinters and scratch and blunt wounds all over… the. I look at the head and notice a red stain…*

“Oh”

*I drop the wooden head and stand up. I walk back three steps… I look down and see the footprints my boots left behind*

“ooOOoooh… cool, don't you agree?”

“Ah!”

Recent works include...

Darlin' and Her Other Names: A werewolf-western-horror-romance comic set across Colorado and Kansas in 1881. The story follows two strangers who meet in a moment of mutual desperation and forge a vengeful partnership. The first installment, Part 1: Marta, was self-published online in March 2023.

BALLAD FOR BLACK CASSANDRA: A brooding comic-poem published in October 2024 as part of the ShortBox Comics Fair. 

Hyssop: A short horror comic featured in the Ignatz award-winning horror anthology Shades of Fear... "Rachel becomes a live-in caregiver for an elderly woman on a rural property. Things between the woman and her daughter have been tense, and Rachel quickly realizes that this is no ordinary job."

The Muse: A short horror comic featured in Dark Horse Comics' Headless Horseman Halloween Annual... "Dear Writer, Congratulations on your acceptance to the Meadowgrove Writing Residency..."

Artie and the Wolf Moon: A middle-grade werewolf graphic novel that follows 8th grader Artemis "Artie" Irvin after she accidentally uncovers her hidden werewolf heritage.

goldfinchwrites - a writeblr intro

Hello - I'm Lottie, and I'm making a tentative return to writeblr. I've been here on and off for years but I've missed it and thus am returning. A little about me:

I'm 26 years old, based in the UK and use she/her pronouns.

I'm been writing since I was 15, got my degree in English Literature and then last year completed a Master's in Creative Writing.

I like to write literary fiction most, but am partial to the gothic and including touches of horror and magical realism. I've also written a little poetry and am looking to return to it as well.

I have two finished manuscripts: one that I'm currently querying and another that's just sitting there and I'm considering getting beta readers for, and then at present I'm not really sure what I want to write now. Both of them are quite different in terms of tones and theme so it's become difficult to categorise what sort of fiction I like to write.

That said, things that tend to come up: the misery of small town England, particularly in the West Country/Cotswolds, country houses, the late 20th Century, queer themes, nature and the environment, and casts of very unlikable people.

I’m also very interested in hauntology (see cover image) and countercultural history.

The authors I'm presently most inspired by are Shirley Jackson, Donna Tartt, Bret Easton Ellis, Carmen Maria Machado, Sayaka Murata, William Boyd and Evelyn Waugh, but, in essence, my reading taste is 20th Century Classics.

I’m currently working on what I call for a shorthand “seventies gothic.”

I'm looking to follow some writeblrs - especially litfic writeblrs, and dip my toe back into the community!
