I had some really ambitious plans for artfight this year, but I quickly had a lot of work on my plate as all of the planned slots that I had were immediately filled. I was hoping to attack every single character in the RD character tag, but there was just too many, so I had to cut it down to just staff and interns... and even then it was too much!! I didn't get to fit everyone in! I realized I had to make some cuts :( it made me sad, but I'm still very happy with the finished project. I hope to do this again sometime. Though... maybe not an animation...?? ^^;;

you ever think about how vegas and kinn’s (and tankhun’s) age differences play into their rivalry, esp during their formative years? i am obsessed with/heartbroken by the notion of vegas being born essentially for the purpose of competing with his 4-6 years older cousins and no one acknowledging the inherent developmental disadvantage because, well, he is gun’s heir.

I DOOOO think about this! I'm so obsessed w/ trying to figure out what their age difference actually is, and how old Tankhun was when he was traumatized out of his role and Kinn took over, because I think a lotttt about Vegas being taught to hate and undermine Tankhun (and how clumsy he probably was when he was young, and how that impacted the overt cartoonish ire between Tankhun and Vegas-Macau), and looking up to his cool, and possibly even NICE!!!, older cousin Kinn before he was taught to view him as a threat. But yeah! As soon as Kinn becomes the heir!! Suddenly Vegas goes from encouraged to undermine his much older cousin, to expected to clone and displace his old-enough-to-have-skills-and-capabilities-Vegas-lacks, but-not-so-old-it's-patently-insane-for-his-dad-to-act-like-Vegas-should-somehow-overcompensate-for-all-of-those things, cousin. What a ridiculous situation... Gun acts like he's a failure for his natural developmental disadvantage, and Kinn/Tankhun/the main family act like it's a hard-earned win for Kinn every time Vegas fails because of expected age gap foibles, and I would headcanon that any of the wins he does get are not because he successfully overtakes Kinn in strength or intelligence before he's at least 20 or so, but probably through sneakiness or cruelty or both, so he internalizes early that those are his special talents, but talents that get him treated with pathologized disgust/disdain/resentment by his entire family...

I'm extremely glad we got that Su Yin acceptance arc I have been mentioning, Shaoyu hasn't gotten more bearable but ig he has to mature yet. Xiaoyu was an icon all episode, I must admit, Zhaocai has found his new partner in crime. I also dearly missed Jinbao and Siming as soon as they left :( their energies were something stupendous. I also liked that Huai'en did not go back to see his foster father, he didn't give him the fucking satisfaction. As it should be.

I'm not smart enough to make much more introspection so I think this is where I'll leave it! Come talk to me if you too have nobody to discuss this series with lmao, askbox is always open. Time for a deepdive into the tag now. I hope I see more of this soon!

i'm not sure why the drama was shelved originally, but i think with the popularity of interview with the vampire, this drama might be popular, at least among international watchers. i have no idea how popular interview with the vampire is in china.

it looks like people are enjoying gao weiguang's portrayal of a vampire X3 i just saw the pics of him in a muzzle and was like wait wait hold up wait just a minute. i also thought ww would be the meowmeow but it looks like the villain is the meowmeow. ww's character seems quite savvy, like the crafty lil sidekick.

Glad to see that cdrama watchers are interested in snowfall 😊 I've seen some posts and gifsets going around already. I think most people are intrigued by the premise (vampires in Republican era). Hopefully the show ends up being good! I think it was ww's oldest acting project that just ended up being shelved for a while. Gotta filter out the drama for spoilers now though lol.
