And it wasn't just the atmosphere that was different, it was the selection in the bakery cases too. Most of these were different from Reagan's, and as Copper knelt down and perused the different options, he said to the person behind the counter, "Between this place and Just Like Heaven, I'm going to need to spend even more time at the gym. Worth it though." He stood upright to face the person, saying, "My name is Copper. Are you new here in Cardinal Hill? I just recently noticed this place, though I haven't been here long myself."

We've really only seen the church at their best, but the story makes clear that there is some old fashioned Zealotry and/or corruption going on behind the scenes.

Honestly, they hate people with disabilities.

It puts into question of why the Goddess would allow this to happen.

Therefore, the only obvious answer is: these people deserve it, hence why the Goddess punished them!

If been studying up on FDR and learned of how he established the premier Polio survivor facility in the world after he got struck with it.

Finding the perfect gift for his family wasn't always easy, especially now that Ocean realized how bad he was at choosing them, so for almost the entire year, he'd been thinking about it. He'd been taking notes about things his family had mentioned, jotting down ideas, shopping various stores when he could, and now with just days to go, he felt like he'd gotten them things they'd like. Maybe they wouldn't love them, but Ocean would just be happy if they liked them. He just wished he were better at choosing things for them. It shouldn't be this hard - he had known them all his entire life, so it should have come more naturally to him. Here you go! Sorry it took so long! I love Astrid as a caregiver, and I personally headcanon her as a flip! I imagine that she enjoys taking her little one on lots of outdoor adventures, like running around in the forest, making pictures from the clouds, flying with Stormfly, and doing simple training sessions together!
