Uh oh! You're being transformed into a solitary system of the human body. Thankfully, at least you get to pick which one. The transformation is painless and permanent, and much like a Halloween skeleton, you can still interact with the world around you (regardless of things like "physics" and "logic").
We ask your questions so you don’t have to! Submit your questions to have them posted anonymously as polls.

Design notes for human guy! Yay! More under the cut
Before he came to Confibula, Human Guy was stationed on a moon in the same star system. It's an icy, slimy world that human settlers called Adam. Most of it looks about the same as an average earthly arctic region but with way more watermelon snow. I might redesign this suit later. Probably will.
After crashing sideways into a mountain range during a system outage he suffered injuries which got infected by the pink slime that grows everywhere. This cost him his legs, an eye and most of his stomach.
When he crashlanded on Confibula his suit was mostly destroyed but he came upon an experimental, highly invasive exploration suit from back in the day when humans occupied the planet. It's filled him up with wires that act as his new digestive system among other things keeping his organs from failing.
He probably can't take the suit off without killing him. Not that he would need to take it off considering confibula is an alien world with plenty of most-likely-scary-and-inedible-unless-modified molecules, but if he ever hopes to get rescued this might prove problematic.
My main rule for Human Guy is that he can't take off the suit unless he also takes off whatever he considers his body too. His eye doesn't count, neither does his blood, but his integumentary and musculoskeletal systems do. Instead, I depict him as a sort of human-shaped spectre holding whatever parts of him he doesn't wish to ignore together, like his legs and wires that have replaced many of his organs and most importantly the stains left behind from his infection which he believes will eventually come back to finish the job.

LONG AWAITED MINI MUTANT BIOLOGY POST
Cause apparently you wanted this!
Gonna get the weird stuff out of the way first. So mini mutants. What are they? Technically, they aren't considered living things. more biological sentient dolls.
This is because by whatever mutant physics defying powers the x gene gives mutants, like for instance allowing a certain mutant to have magnetic control over metals that are not magnetic in the slightest, they don't have a lot of the typical organ systems most creatures need to survive including a proper respiratory system, circulatory system, complete digestive system, or reproductive system.
Their stomachs are basically a giant power source that directly turns things they consume into matter for repairing their bodies and energy. This is why they prefer carb heavy foods as they are largely pure energy and are easy to convert.

They also have lungs but these only seem to provide oxygen fuel directly to the energy conversion source and vocalization ability. They have a functioning nervous, endocrine, and immune system, aswell as a pseudo skeleton, as what makes them up are not tecnically bones but more enamal bone like structures. They also have a fatty muscular system of sorts, but this substance is neither entirely fat tissue or muscle tissue, and is a lot like soft silicone in nature as shown here.

They also have an integumentary system (skin, hair, all that) that is very soft to the touch, a lot like flocking on a plastic toy. The Kurt's are more like velvet and Beast feels like fresh terry cloth.
This all only works because they are beings of Pure radiant mutant energy combined with biological material. They can pack away so much food to fuel their core, sometimes three times their own weight in one day!

But if the energy gets significantly depleted they can become lethargic and exhausted.

And if it's completely depleted or blocked with like a power dampening collar, they will cease to exist.
If one passes on, their form returns to a blank doll form.

They can absorb some mutant radiation from others around them including other mini mutants, leading to cuddle piles

but full sized ones give off more so they like cuddling up with them a bit more.
That all folks for now I think! Hope you enjoyed this!

WOLDBUILDING NOTES: HYDRATION & THE INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM
In comparison to other body systems, the skin is pretty unique. It’s the only system that always contacts the outside world, and forms a barrier within which the delicate balance needed by the other organs can be upheld. Thus, the cells making up this essential organ must be hardy and uniquely evolved for uncontrollable conditions.
In this Body at least, the scene above shows what the lower regions of the Stratum Corneum look like. Areas like these lie just beyond the wall that encircles nearly the whole Body, marking the boundary between urban cityscapes from untouched wilderness. The vegetation and oases act as sweat glands, in that they can store and expel water on command, more on that later. No cells live permanently beyond the wall, and any bacteria that would be on the “surface” of the skin live so far across the desert that no one even knows they’re out there. But it’s not uncommon for the elements like extreme heat waves, cold fronts, or thunderstorms to roll in over the horizon- though they usually lose momentum and strength as they travel across the desert (to simulate the insulating barrier of the skin), similar to how hurricanes lose momentum once they hit land. To maintain homeostasis, cells near the boundaries enact protocols to counteract incoming changes. For instance, more heat might be generated to neutralize the effects of a cold front. And speaking of cells…
There are many, MANY more types of cells that live at the barrier, but these are two of the most common. This whole thing started when I learned that spinous cells are also called “prickle cells” which? First of all that’s lowkey adorable?? So I knew I had to take some inspiration from spiny desert lizards like thorny devils and such. These cells live inside the wall (which also acts as a giant condo complex), and form very close bonds with their family groups, in reference to real spinous cells forming very close physical connections with each other. Their job is mostly to maintain the wall, make sure they’re not losing resources to the outside world, and even monitor the ecosystem’s health on the other side. To do this, they evolved tough keratinous scales over their membranes (similar to some bacteria) that insulate against temperature changes and prevent water loss, which is something you don’t need to worry about in the rest of the Body. These guys frequent the desert more than anyone, and have invented tons of dune buggy-centric sports to play out there, with racing being the most celebrated.
When it comes to the spinous cells’ roles in actually forming the Corneum, that happens after they’ve passed. When a cell dies, their loved ones will load up a buggy and drive as far into the desert as they can. Once they think they’re far enough, they will bury the deceased in the sand, hold a vigil until sunset (ie when the Body goes to sleep), and drive back. They do this with the understanding that the cell’s body will turn into more sand and expand the vast desert, pushing the great unknown from which the harsh weather comes farther away from their home.
I’ll admit that I took a little more liberty with the other guys- hair follicle cells are less based on actual hair follicles, and more based on the social aspect of hair and all the emphasis that gets put on looking pretty, and also social media culture in general. Hair follicle cells (HFCs) don’t tend to be as outgoing as the prickle cells. They team up when they have to take care of their hair strand like in canon, a job they are very proud of, but off the clock, they’re pretty solitary. Instead of familial ties, most of their value is placed on constantly one-upping each other, especially when it comes to physical appearance. The HFC beauty standard emphasizes shiny scales, well-kept flagella, and trendy fashion. They also idolize cells who don’t show weakness, and they have a VERY broad definition of “weakness,” which includes normal things like having hobbies or showing emotion. Basically, the prickle cells think they’re too snobby and the HFCs think the prickle cells are too mushy. Most HFCs who try to combat this ridiculous standard are the ones who spend more time with prickle cells, ie. the ones who have gotten a glimpse at what being happy actually looks like, and not what their peers keep telling them to pursue.
As for their biology, HFCs have long tails instead of legs that have more prominent spiny scales as you go down. This is inspired by Kenyan sand boas, which have the same feature that give them better grip on the sliding sand. I also thought it looked kinda like a hair strand under a microscope, so it just worked out lol. And sort of like prickle cells with their eyebrow horns, HFCs have big ears that double as hoods like cobras to shield them from the sun.
Now to flip the script completely: I mentioned sweat glands earlier, so that leads me to hydration. In this proposed model for the Body, hydration is represented by a giant water table that underlies the whole metropolis. Not a tank, but an actual, geological water table that can be tapped into via wells. (I say “proposed” because it answers some questions, but not all, a lot of which are contradictory. For this reason, I don’t expect to ever “figure out the Body” in its entirety because that’s just too many moving parts to put together in a sensible way, at least not without tearing everything down and starting fresh). With every cell across the whole Body using it every second of every day, it requires constant replenishment from the Large Intestine, and to be monitored by the Kidneys. One type of well that takes from the table are sweat glands, where water gets stored in tanks at the edge of the skin. When sweat is needed, a piston in the tank forces the water into the porous soil underneath the desert, where it makes the plants hydrate and the oases flood like geysers. The plants in particular are evolved to hold onto water until this happens, as they only use very minimal amounts of it for themselves, and expel it into the air to absorb heat and keep the Body cool.

Well that was damn near the longest post I’ve ever written so if you made it this far, have a fluffernutter sammich. on the house.

Excerpt from this story from EcoWatch:
The antioxidants that make fruits and vegetables so colorful have been found to potentially counteract some of the worst effects of microplastics on the reproductive system.
The powerful antioxidants could even be used to develop future treatments, according to new research.
“The accumulation of [microplastics/nanoplastics] contaminants across ecosystems raises significant concerns for human health due to their potential dispersion within the human body through respiratory, integumentary, and digestive systems,” the authors of the study wrote. “[T]here is evidence suggesting that they could disrupt the endocrine system, exert influence on fertility, and impair embryonic development.”
The researchers focused on the reproductive toxicity of microplastics and anthocyanins — plant compounds found in fruits, vegetables and nuts. They discovered that anthocyanins likely protect against a host of microplastics-induced reductions in estrogen and testosterone, decreased sperm counts and lower sperm quality, impacts on hormones, damage to ovaries and erectile dysfunction, reported The Guardian.
“The search for natural compounds to counteract these harmful effects is ongoing, with anthocyanins emerging as a promising candidate,” the authors wrote in the study. “These compounds may exert antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, mitigate oxidative damage, and improve the function of steroid receptors such as androgen and ERs, which are crucial in maintaining reproductive health. The modulation of these receptors by anthocyanins may help restore hormonal balance, reduce cellular stress, and protect reproductive organs from plastic-induced damage.”
Microplastics are tiny plastic pieces produced when larger plastics break down. The dangerous particles contain an array of chemicals, many of which — such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), phthalates, BPA and heavy metals — present serious health risks.
Microplastics have made their way into the human body through the food chain and have been found to have the ability to cross brain and placental barriers. They have also been associated with increased inflammation, risk of cancer and heart attack and can alter the essential gut microbiome.
The ubiquitous particles have been discovered in breast milk, ovarian tissue, testicles, semen, placentas and fetuses.
By safeguarding the blood-testis barrier and stopping microplastics from making their way into bodily tissues, some of the plant compounds have been demonstrated to improve sperm count and spermatogenesis, a crucial step in sperm development.

The Human Body: A Complex Biological Marvel
The human frame is one of the most sophisticated and complicated organic systems in nature. Comprising trillions of cells prepared into tissues, organs, and structures, it performs infinite duties that permit us to live, move, suppose, and sense. From the smallest cellular to the maximum complex organ gadget, every part of the human frame works collectively to preserve balance and support life.
what are the major systems of the human body

The Building Blocks: Cells, Tissues, and Organs
At the maximum simple degree, the human body is made from cells. There are over two hundred different kinds of cells within the human body, each with its unique feature—as an example, muscle cells for movement, nerve cells for conversation, and pink blood cells for oxygen delivery.
Groups of comparable cells shape tissues.
Epithelial tissue, which covers surfaces and features organs
Connective tissue, consisting of bone, blood, and fat
Muscle tissue, which enables motion
Nervous tissue, which transmits signals
Organs just like the heart, lungs, liver, and brain perform precise features critical for survival.
The Major Organ Systems
The human body is prepared into eleven most important organ systems, each with a distinct position:
1. Circulatory System
The blood vessels—arteries, veins, and capillaries—form an in depth network that ensures each mobile receives what it needs.
2. Respiratory System
Key organs encompass the lungs, trachea, and diaphragm. The alveoli within the lungs are tiny sacs wherein oxygen enters the blood and carbon dioxide is expelled.
3. Digestive System
This device strategies the meals we consume, extracting nutrients and strength even as expelling waste. Starting within the mouth, food travels thru the esophagus to the stomach, where it's far broken down with the aid of acids. The small gut absorbs vitamins, at the same time as the massive gut manages waste.
4 Nervous System
It controls all physical capabilities, from conscious idea to involuntary processes like heartbeat and digestion. The worried gadget permits us to feel the surroundings, react, and make decisions.
5 Muscular System
This system consists of over 600 muscular tissues that allow movement, maintain posture, and convey warmness. It includes:
Cardiac muscle (heart)
6. Skeletal System
It protects organs, enables motion along side muscle mass, and shops minerals like calcium. The bone marrow internal some bones additionally produces blood cells.
7. Endocrine System
The endocrine device regulates bodily capabilities thru hormones, which are chemical messengers. Glands consisting of the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, and pancreas manipulate boom, metabolism, temper, and reproductive approaches.
8 Immune System
This device defends the frame towards dangerous invaders like micro organism, viruses, and parasites. It includes white blood cells, the lymphatic gadget, antibodies, and organs inclusive of the thymus and spleen.
9. Urinary System
The kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra paintings collectively to provide and get rid of urine.
10. Reproductive System
This machine is liable for producing offspring. In males, it consists of the testes, penis, and associated structures. It also produces sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone.
11. Integumentary System
It protects the frame from injury, regulates temperature, and serves because the first line of defense against pathogens.
Amazing Functions of the Human Body
Homeostasis: Keeping Balance
The body continues a strong inner environment thru homeostasis. Whether it’s temperature regulation, pH stability, or blood sugar control, homeostasis ensures that bodily systems operate inside top-rated tiers.
Brain Power
The human mind incorporates around 86 billion neurons. It can system complicated mind, reminiscences, language, and emotions. The mind controls each voluntary moves (like moving an arm) and involuntary ones (like respiratory or digestion).
Healing and Regeneration
When injured, the frame initiates a repair procedure. Platelets clot the blood, white blood cells fight infection, and new cells regenerate broken tissue. Some elements, just like the liver, have tremendous regenerative abilties.
The Five Senses
The frame uses sight, listening to, contact, flavor, and scent to interact with the surroundings. These senses acquire data this is interpreted by way of the brain to assist us make selections and live secure.
Lifespan and Growth
Human development starts at idea and progresses thru infancy, youth, early life, maturity, and vintage age. The body grows, matures, and sooner or later declines through the years. Hormonal changes, life-style, genetics, and surroundings all influence how the body a long time.
Nutrition and Health
A wholesome human body requires a balanced weight loss plan that provides:
Carbohydrates for electricity
Proteins for tissue repair and growth
Fats for power garage and mobile feature
Vitamins and minerals for metabolic approaches
Water for hydration and chemical reactions
Regular workout, adequate sleep, and mental well-being also are essential for keeping correct health.
Diseases and Disorders
Despite its resilience, the human frame can suffer from a extensive variety of illnesses:
Infectious diseases like influenza and COVID-19
Genetic disorders including cystic fibrosis
Mental health situations like melancholy and tension
Modern medicinal drug, mixed with healthful lifestyles, enables manipulate and save you lots of these situations.
The Future of Human Biology
Advancements in technology and medicinal drug retain to reveal extra approximately the human frame. Technologies like genetic engineering, artificial organs, neuroprosthetics, and regenerative medicine are paving the way for longer, healthier lives.
Research in regions just like the human microbiome (the trillions of microbes in our bodies), personalised medicine, and brain-computer interfaces is reshaping how we recognize human fitness.

Introducing… funny shit my Neuroscience prof has said, part one!
These are all real (somewhat out-of-context) quotes from last semester. Proceed with caution.
-“The nursing department is full of APA nazis. If you’re a nursing major and you forget a comma in your citations, you’d better bend over, because your grade is coming at you fast and hard.”
-“Why were the Harry Potter books so poorly organized? They should have been called Hermione Granger and the Two Blundering Idiots. That one with the quidditch should have been called Harry Potter and the Spinal Cord Injury.”
-“GUTS. Repeat after me. GUTS. This is a dissection lab. If your table is sticky, someone didn’t clean sheep juices off their workstation properly. Oh, and always look before you sit down.”
-“Class, repeat after me. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT IS NOT AN AMINO ACID!”
-“Quokkas. Ever seen a Quokka? They’re adorable. Honestly, we should just move all of the Australians out of Australia and rename it Quokkaland.”
-“We’re going to focus on a sensory neuron that is already familiar to us—the FREE NERVE ENDING. You may recall from our unit on the Integumentary System that these guys are responsible for temperature and also PAIN. Interesting that a pain receptor would be involved in the withdrawal reflex, isn’t it? Interesting that I already have told you a little bit about it. It’s almost like I knew this day was coming! Whoa, like prophetic powers. WOW.” (He has no chill)
-“So these are the glands that produce sweat—because, unless you’re Prince Charles, humans sweat.”
-“…so, I stab you with a nail and you say “Grandpa! Why did you stab me with a nail?” And I say, “I’m testing your reflexes, it’s an important neurological diagnostic procedure GIMME YOUR OTHER HAND!”
-“I shouldn’t have to tell you this because you’re supposed to be mature adults, but please don’t take freaky photos with the skeletons and post them to social media. Our class has a bad track record with this and it’s unnecessary. Imagine explaining to Granny why your feed has a photo of you doing the nasty with a skeleton?”
[below is an obligatory skeleton pic because why not]

I kinda want to get my navel removed as a symbolic cut-off from my mother
would paying to rend your flesh in this manner not cause you to think of it more often? true, it could be a symbol of freedom, but is the greater freedom to choose not mar your precious integumentary system, the largest organ in your body? you can see even in that picture that the whorl of his stomach hair whispers. an absence can become a presence, clichés exist for a reason. body modification, body projects, often make promises they do not keep. regardless, i hope the day comes soon where you don't think of her, where you've built a life where she's so irrelevant and the damage done is so irrelevant that it's not even an echo of a whisper of a remembrance of how the aftermath was at its worst. bruce from family guy would never say this

My Melissa
A Poem by T. C. Tolbert
whose trans body is a house without a hacksaw, a nap inside
a needle, a glass vase ¾ full of smooth stones;
whose trans aorta is a mesquite tree careening through power lines, a Cooper’s Hawk
lit by lightning; whose trans lungs are two jars full
of bumblebees singing on the uncovered back porch. Even our name is a match
tossed into the fire it started, an edgeless invocation. Melissa, a wind
made by swinging; grass cutting through concrete; bubble-wrap being danced on,
albeit slowly, as if that alone could quiet the tiny explosions down the hall. Whose
trans articular cartilage is string light threaded through the rafters; whose trans
tunica media is a sliver of decorated cardboard doubling as a protest
sign inside the window, which only serves to emphasize the window’s
inefficacy
against the sun; whose trans epiglottis is an apron
on a hook; whose trans trapezius are cups in the sink filled
with inconsistently directed knives and spoons; whose trans metatarsals are
green beans boiling on the stove; whose trans subclavian artery is organ
pipe cactus under cloud cover; whose trans left ventricle is a black-capped goldfinch hanging
upside down to eat; whose trans lesser trochanter is a hen’s claw growing around a rope;
whose trans great saphenous veins are technologies of prediction—tarot, storm-
tracker, political polls; whose trans dead space is the undeniable pollution
of light; whose trans thyroid cartilage is commissioned
graffiti; whose trans facial hair is the gentrifier yelling
gentrification; whose trans erythrocytes are dapples of daylight
drug across a concrete block wall; whose trans stroke volume is a live-
streamed filibuster; whose trans plasma is the intimacy
of strangers immediate in an emergency; whose trans plasma proteins are women
filling a courtroom—one by one approaching the judge—performing
all the mental and physical labor of obtaining a divorce; whose trans
integumentary system
is the myth of meritocracy; whose trans rectum is a local philanthropic institution;
whose trans bile is the taste of a slap echoing in your mother’s open palm;
whose trans femoral vein is a cat’s claw’s crafted search for the sun;
whose trans pharynx is an empty building brimming with trampolines; whose trans ovaries
are interrobangs used unironically; whose trans ureter is
a stop sign stuffed with bullet holes near a ditch filled with sunflowers near a wasp’s
nest near a farm. Sometimes I’m afraid I am afraid
of me, my trans sympathetic nervous
system, my trans fatigue
cracks, my trans 1st Corinthians 3:16 training
the god right out of my trans temple,
all trans dove, no savior; a trans baptism, holy
to be a fire (trans) trembling in the tear of the trans (daughter, trans) tongue. How I love you
now, my trans vagina, my trans manubrium, my trans Melissa, in every iteration TC
Melissa Dawn Tolbert who was even once
a Harrison, a wife to a husband; it is possible she loved
me then too. Hiding can she hear me
say thank you. To my trans uterus, my trans pectoralis major, my trans penis: the highest point
on earth is in the ocean. Sea stars, our body’s becoming. A trans prayer. An infinite, inexhaustible
rhizome of the heart. You,
whose tragus is trans, whose kidneys, whose medulla oblongata, whose
adrenal glands, whose cochlea, whose pleural space; whose trans sacrum is simultaneous,
the site of the storm and the keel of a storm-scored boat.
Whose trans arrector pili muscle is the fact that no matter when this
sentence is read, it will be true
that someone somewhere is trying to survive a sexual assault; whose trans inferior
vena cava is a clock that has not yet been hung on the wall.
I love you time, how trans you are.
Your trans boredom, ribbon-sharp and meadow-bold. You, whose bark is
trans; whose recovery, whose lumen, whose partial pressure
(trans), in order to live, must continue to respond to changes in the lungs.

HEART BIOLOGY LET'S GO
Definitely gonna be a long post so hang tight
Ok so
Heart is apart of a fictional species I made called "ids".
You will never guess where I got that bright idea (disappointing fun fact about me I've actually only listened to like five CJ songs and everything else I know from looking at the lyrics or my lover)
Ids are typically bipedal, hermaphrodite sapient organisms that have a "host" which they parallel. Ids reflect various brain-related theories/concepts, such as id, ego, and superego, right and wrong, conflict and resolution, and of course, left brain-right brain. They usually come in pairs of two, but on rare occasions can come in a trio.
Ids have odd life cycles; they're born from a variety of causes, but are only an extremely slim chance to develop. They are potentially parasitic and rely on their "host" for development, almost in a parent-child, teacher-student type way (note: ids are NOT related to their host, but this does not mean I encourage shipping.).
Ids are psychologically akin to a five year old once they first "spawn". Ids know every language from within the bounds they spawned in, essentially meaning Heart and Mind understand every single human language and language from the Dream Realm (note: the Dream Realm is wholly irrelevant to the story, but feel free to stick around if you wanna hear about it from other stories), but cannot speak them as they do not have the muscle memory to communicate them verbally, nor can they write them as they do not understand what the words look like physically.
Newborn ids never resemble the baby version of whatever creature they are paralleling; in-fact, the infant form of an id is at minimum five year olds. Typically, newborn ids take the form of their host's age, albeit with, again, the minds of an older toddler.
Once they reach roughly a year of age, they will be able to verbally communicate in the language they were spoken to in, with an eerie amount of fluency in spite of their previous silence. At this point, they are of basic biological maturity, much like a fourteen to sixteen year old, but are in no way fully mature.
Once they reach three, they have reached what is considered adulthood for an id, but I don't wanna hear any one of you proshippers saying that they can be shipped with an adult/sexualised as they are most likely still in the form of a minor. While their emotional capacity, mental development, and learning capabilities are all fully developed, their knowledge, experience, personality maturity, and possibly even appearance will still be juvenile.
Ids can be very diverse physically, but their appearance is almost identical to their Host, albeit with usually supernatural elements.
Consistent qualities with ids include nails that grow sharper when stressed or induced with adrenaline (a lot like a stick's fingers and teeth, see: Linumvris sapien), a levitating accessory above one's head, and organ systems as follows:
•Basic external systems, such as nervous system, integumentary system, etc.
•A strong skeletal and muscular system; albeit, it is not pronounced and often hard to tell. Due to its higher development, ids are crazy strong, and could overpower a human with little to no difficulty.
•A digestive and respiratory track that leads straight to the circulatory system. Nutrients are immediately absorbed by the blood, and their blood acts as a sort of "life force" for the id, being the second most important component of their body (the most being wherever their consciousness is stored). Old blood that was worn itself and its nutrients dry, acting as waste, is removed by slicing open a non-vital part of the body, such as the back of an arm or the front of the thigh, and allowing it to bleed.
•Their consciousness is stored in the organ connected to their nervous system.
Oh, and they also have super complex body language that I will spare you the details of (for now).
Ids are born with the "idstinct" to become whole, which is not a requirement for their survival but rather a bizarre function implanted into their psychology. All ids possess the desire to become whole, regardless of their upbringing. There is such thing as "whole-cuddling", in which when an id cuddles with another creature (almost always another id) in a specific way, it causes their minds to "blend" and for them to share thoughts, thinking intensely about being whole. Supposedly, this is quite relaxing, almost like deep meditation, but I have never experienced it myself so I couldn't tell you. /j
Ids also are prone to creating a variety of bizarre, alien noises; the most notable and alien of the such being "fellkinking" or "fellkinging", which is also known as the "iderest" sound as it is a vocalisation produced when an id is interested in something, be it a thought or stimuli. They may also, albeit extremely briefly, produce this sound when startled.
In-case you're wondering what this sounds like, thankfully your old pal AXYER has basic audio editing skills.
Oh, also, it's possible to become an id.
Anyway.
Onto Heart's actual biology, sorry I get carried away by my own good ideas sometimes.
Now onto what I actually advertised!
Heart, when we're talking basic information, is about 167 CM (5'6") and somewhat underweight (he's built like a TikTok femboy in the AU), with black, kind of dark purple hair, lavender skin, plain black eyes (formerly), and no body hair (id thing).
Heart has violet teeth as well as very saturated, dark purple blood, and black nails.
For the most supernatural qualities (if being purple and black-eyed wasn't supernatural enough), Heart has orchid-coloured pheasant wings, dark purple hologram rings around his wrists, torso, neck, and ankles, a small portion of feathers collecting around his upper chest (NOT a mane), hooves instead of feet, a biological gun, a dark purple halo, and, while not technically a biological component, is capable of summoning violet fire, which I will get into. B)
Heart suffers from low blood pressure, as well as frequent chest pain. To add a little psychology into the mix, Heart suffers from complex post-traumatic stress disorder (at the hands of Soul), which for those who don't know much about psychology think of a blend of nightmares, flashbacks (emotional and visual), dissociation, mood swings, fear of abandonment, hypervigilance, and trust issues, as well as schizoaffective disorder (bipolar subtype) (may change).
Heart's eyes are absent, formerly having been a plain black in colour and with ordinary eyesight, due to… well, you're in the Chonny Jash fandom, you can probably figure it out. Heart's neck is also coated in bruises and has bluish-marks akin to grasping fingers, along with tiny violet spots around his cheeks, and ears with purplish stains. This is typically obscured by his hoodie collar, and his throat is perpetually tight (see: next paragraph). Due to the traumatic nature of these injuries, they are almost permanent and could be mended with the right mental health treatment, but in Heart's not-so-good living situation this is unlikely. Ids can typically heal from any wound given enough time, no matter how drastic (lest it be fatal), but wounds with horrific memories tied to them are built into their homeostasis.
Uniquely, Heart doesn't quite feel pain, due to his underdeveloped pain receptors. Rather than feeling pain, he feels tightness, to varying extents depending on the degree of "pain" he should be feeling. There are two exceptions to this; the occasional chest pain he suffers from, and if he were to be shot by his Gun, tased by Mind, or stabbed by Soul's Trident.
Heart's wings are soft in texture and physically quite similar to the wings of a pheasant, albeit a more pinkish-purple colour. They are useless in terms of actually lifting himself from the ground, but fortunately their mere existence permits him to levitate and hover, as well as float in a way akin to flight. His wings are there to steer only, and flap to accelerate his flight, but if they are removed then he loses this ability. Feathers that form a kind of down-like portion envelop his sternum, which is a noticeably developed muscle of his.
Dark purple rings that are composed of a vaguely organic, even more vaguely than an id's composition already is, substance surround certain parts of his body; one around his torso, two around each wrist, two around each ankle, and one around his neck. These are semi-physical and if you were to slowly grab onto one, your hand would phase through it, but if you were to quickly grab it you could hold onto it and pull Heart by it. His halo is similar and seemingly serves no other function than to be his signature accessory above his head.
Heart has hooves that act similarly to plantigrade feet, and fully touch the ground, rather than standard nature of unguligrade feet. His hooves are pointed and can inflict decent damage if kicked into something (or someone), and are solid enough to not be easily harmed. Heart doesn't feel much sensation in his hooves.
Probably to be expected, Heart is able to summon a pistol, in which he can remove his canines to act as (and turn into) bullets (forgot to mention, he has VERY sharp canines, that grow in super quick!). Surprisingly, there is not much biologically remarkable about this weapon, however biological weapons are a key quality of ids, and all have one.
The next one is less so relevant to the AU but still pretty interesting stuff, and the one after that is exclusive to my crossover AU:
Heart is capable of summoning violet fire with he can shape at will and manipulate thoroughly to his desire. Rather than burning someone and causing a bunch of tiny contractions, the fire causes muscles it touches to rapidly contract. This can be as simple as a finger tightly bending in-place, or as extreme as someone curling so tightly into a ball that they damage their spine.
(Exclusive to crossover AU ;)) Notably, Heart is able to pull fire out of his palm, in which it appears instead as a small, narrow candle with a lavender flame. He's able to use this candle as a way to spy on others, being able to hear immensely well out of it, smell out of it, feel its surroundings (while spying out of it), see its surroundings (before he went blind; while blind, his vision is heavily obscured and unreliable while using it), and speak out of the candle. The candle's flame flickers and churns to express emotion from Heart, and one can tell he's utilising it once it changes from a lavender flame to a violet (I have said the word violet so much omg). It can only be extinguished through pinching the flame with one's thumb and another finger, as other methods will simply not work and using your entire hand will only burn you as your hand contracts around the family. If one ignites the candle, it will become usable again. Also, if one douses the candle in lighter fluid, it will force Heart to remain inside of the candle until it is either extinguished or damaged beyond repair.
And that's it! Thanks for sitting through my long ramble lol. :)
I REALLY like turning human or human-like characters into fully distinct and unique creatures, so prepare to hear more of this from me. Hope you enjoyed! :)
