Contact Other Plane really is such a perfect wizard and warlock spell, because it truly encapsulates the hubris of those classes. It's the most extreme "fuck around and find out" spell. It's like, you can make a collect call out of this world. You might get some answers, but you also might go insane for trying it. You'll be fine in the morning, though. You will learn nothing from this experience.

it is beyond infuriating how anne rice seems to insist on marius being a positive force in anyone's life ever. like she can't fully commit to exploring the fact he groomed armand and has repeatedly taken away his consent for what marius thinks is best (take the end of TVA as an example) and just kind of flatly puts it in the narrative. there's not really much interest in how these horrific events make marius come across as the worst because EVERYONE loves him. for gods sake, lestat learns from armand exactly what marius did to him in TVL and then proceeds to go find marius and be super friendly to him in the same fucking book. even armand and pandora, two of the people who have MORE than enough right to hate him, do not. it doesnt feel like shes trying to explore the toxicity of the abusive dynamic he traps them in, it just is there. and like yeah ofc the toxic vampire romance series but i think that this should be handled with more care. and it is not ever really framed in a way that she is interested in exploring how marius should easily be one of the most horrific characters in this series because it kind of feels like sa/rape/grooming/other things of that sort are just put there to further plot and not to really get the respect that they deserve in a medium.

the problem with the highest/lowest ability score polls is that it was so hard for me to pick one because i kept thinking "hmmm no that skill is pretty high too, it could easily be the highest/couldn't possibly be the lowest" for every ability. im someone's mary sue oc and im maxxing every single skill. simply too well-rounded and skilled to be contained in a tumblr poll.

Novalee was questioning everything and was getting anxious. But she stopped fixing everything about her when she spotted Finn's reflection in the background, looking as handsome as ever. "Hey... I'm ready. I think."she murmured and turned around to face him. "Uh, do you think this is appropriate for meeting your mom? I didn't want to look like I do every day going to class... i was curious after travis mentioned chetney having the highest intelligence score in the party last episode so i looked at every campaign three pc’s stats on the wiki and. he beats every single one. it’s not even close. deanna, fearne, and fcg all have negative one intelligence modifiers at 8 (fcg) and 9 (deanna and fearne), imogen has a plus zero at 11, laudna, ashton, frida, and yu/dusk have a plus one at 12, and orym (also with a plus one) has the best besides chetney at 13. chetney. has a 16. which is a plus three. it is also worth noting that two of the people with positive intelligence (frida and orym) have been noted to believe the earth is flat. i honestly don’t think half this party can read i’m gonna be real travis was right chetney having the highest intelligence score is Fucking Terrifying
