Hi anon! Sorry for the late reply! Here are my headcanons with a little SaneGiyuu sprinkled in of course.

The Hashiras and the Upper Moons would definitely have Whatsapp chat groups where the Master would call them for meetings, they would discuss about their missions and they would clown on Giyuu 😂

The therapy would be one of those closed room sections where they can rant about their colleagues and missions kinda like the way contestants do in Big Brother or Total Drama Island.

The Infinity Castle would be an office similar to how it is in the Gakuen. Akaza is desperate to make Rengoku a demon because he needed a (boy)friend in his toxic workplace.

Kokushibo is the bossy, know-it-all who thinks he's the second boss, he definitely has the company logo as his social media profile pic and talks about putting the company first yada yada yada

Douma is the snake that pretends to be nice to you but talks about you when you're not around, preys on the new female hires, and has a special seat reserved for him in the HR department.

Nakime is the colleague that keeps to herself, does their work, doesn't really talk to anyone and peaces out once it's 5.

Gyokko is the suck up who tries to see how far they can push their nose up the boss's ass to get a promotion or recognition.

Hantengu is the old head that pretends to be incompetent and pitiful so that you'll end up doing all their work

Gyutaro and Daki are the gen-z types that hate the job but need the money, won't stop questioning authority and who you're secretly jealous of because of their gutsy behavior.

Akaza is the only sane one who has an already drafted resignation letter saved on his computer desktop that he wants to submit every Monday or everytime Douma opens his mouth. He copes by scrolling through office/shitty colleague memes, snorting coffee and dreaming up fantasies about the office exploding.

Douma has been banned from the Upper Moon group chat for posting too many memes and Blue Spider lily troll posts.

Giyuu constantly forgets the gate code to the Master's mansion when there's a Hashira meeting and when he asks on the group chat the other Hashiras mostly ignore him.

Sanemi dms him and gives him the code after calling him a dumbass.

Gyomei is always posting cat pictures and videos on the group chats.

Tengen takes a selfie during every mission and posts ot on his status.

Giyuu's driver is always late because he is old and always forgets where Giyuu's house is but Giyuu doesn't have the heart to fire him because the driver cares for him like a grandson.

Sanemi drives himself to his missions.

Rengoku always types in capital letters and Obanai is always asking why he's shouting.

Mitsuri has an Instagram where she posts about fashion, her cats and food. Obanai likes every post, he also likes every Mitsuri group chat post no matter how silly it is.

Whenever Rengoku goes on missions, he always visits the restaurants in the area and gives ratings and reviews on Google Maps.

Muichiro, Genya, Kanao, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Tanjiro spend their free time on their shared Minecraft server making cool builds.

Zenitsu screams whenever there's a creeper around, Inosuke just runs towards it like an idiot. He has the highest respawn rate out of any of them.

Tanjiro always greets each of the villagers he encounters, he's even nice to the traveling merchant. He also has a lot of dogs and cats. His base is in the jungle because of the pandas. He likes to explore and collect lots of resources.

Muichiro, Kanao and Inosuke like to explore the caves. Inosuke likes to sneak into Zenitsu's base and steal his stuff. He also has a lot of dogs which he calls the Hoard.

Kanao makes fancy builds and has a lot of xp, food and resource farms because she values efficiency and she always shows off her builds to Shinobu and the butterfly girls. She's the first one in the group to get netherite armor and sword.

Inosuke is banned from several stores and malls especially Walmart.

Sanemi and Obanai play COD together and bully/kill teammates or other players who are misogynistic and shout slurs.

Giyuu saves the Hashira's names formally on his phone but saves Sanemi's with his first name.

Giyuu and Sanemi text each other constantly and Sanemi always asks if he's eaten and offers to cook food for Giyuu at his place.

Shinobu always trolls Giyuu on the groupchat and she's banned from several pharmacies for her questionable requests about poisons but has settled for ordering them from the dark web.

She's currently on a watchlist for her ties to several eco-terrorist groups. She had a channel where she talked about poisons and bombs but it was taken down by YouTube.

She often takes the butterfly girls for ice cream and they have movie nights. Her favorite movie is Jennifer's Body and Mean Girls, least to say Aoi and Kanao are very concerned for her.

Muichiro always has to explain gen-z slang and memes to Gyomei.

Tengen is always posting thirst traps on Instagram along with pictures of his wives.

Kokushibo always handles Muzan's Amazon orders. Muzan orders a lot of hair products, he shops at designer stores and has a Sephora membership card.

Gyutaro and Daki are always bullying kids on Roblox and griefing peoples builds on public Minecraft servers.

Gyokko's Instagram page features his pots and 'art pieces', Hantengu likes all his posts.

Akaza listens to Avril Lavigne and posts about his colleagues and how he hates his job on Reddit and Tumblr.

The Infinity Castle wifi password is Muzan4prez set by Douma of course.

Nakime's favorite channel is HGTV because she's always looking for ideas on how to redecorate the Infinity Castle.

Muzan always watches E! especially when the Awards Season comes around. He's especially fond of the Met Gala. His favorite show is Hell's Kitchen.

Kokushibo likes watching the National Geographic channel and NatGeo wild on occasion.

The Master always forces Shinobu, Sanemi, Obanai and Giyuu to have professional therapy sessions. He also checks up on them to make sure they go every week and bribes them with movie nights with him.

He always posts motivational quotes and positive messages for the Hashira but isn't above posting memes and troll posts every once in a while. Sanemi likes all of his posts, chats and comments.

That's all I can think of for now. The slaying of the demons will be the same, they would still use katanas because they're more efficient than guns.

pissed abt the new discord mobile update so heres my rant.

the new hud is ugly, laggy and impractical. the lil servers button will ALWAYS have a blue light unless you read every server message which is dumb. they should have an option to turn that off or revert it back to the old HUD (like how reddit has its current site and its "old site HUD" verision), it feels laggy to swap between servers and messages and its slow, making it hard to balance having two conversations at once. you cant even see which people are online in servers by swiping to the side anymore and have to press the search button (which takes a moment to even load, adding more to the lag factor), not to mention, messages look weird now since you ALSO cant side swipe to see whos online/status messages, you must press the search tab and then itll lag to load and show up like how instagrams messaging system does, with it separating the media sent, link and some other stuff. overly complex and unneeded.

not to mention, the new "midnight" color background doesnt even look midnight, you'd expect it to be pitch black on all parts but instead they made it blueish, which is dumb and knowing current discord, they'd put pitch black behind the discord nitro color themed backgrounds (which is also stupid but thats a whole other can of worms.)

overall the new interface is annoying, laggy, UGLY, and hard to traverse, the seperation of areas was unneeded, made worse by the fact that discord themself have said that a setting to make it go back to normal wont be made and if anyone doesnt like it, to delete their accounts. (most likely not caring due to the fact that they have no competition in purely texting apps), it is also full of glitches such as: people being able to send messages but it STILL being in the text box, being so laggy its unuseable and from what ive seen, nobody online is happy as it completely removes all user-friendly access to things and makes it generally hard to use.

when i was 12, i was ambitious. a heart of gold, in the words of earth, wind & fire, i truly believed that nothing could stop me so long as i gave it my all. no obstacle was too large, no goal was too distant. now, at 20, my dreams are shattered in many ways. yet in many ways i am still grateful (and i am aware that i have so much left to live). i owe it to the family i have created to tell this complex truth over a neatly told lie:

for the nearly 8 years that better future program, inc. (bfp) has existed, i have run it almost entirely alone. each time that we gained momentum, it was as though the narrow visions of others dragged us right back to the depths of the void. and i was the one always left to pick up the pieces. you see, for nearly 8 years, i fought and cried, chased and fell, lived and died. but it was through my struggles that i made lifelong friends to kiss the very scars this organization has graced me with. i will always hold a place in my heart for the volunteers who showed up, who bleed alongside me as these words rip into our spirits.

you see, i am writing this because i am a changed person. called every name in the book right down to ngger whore*, something about my soul is hurting. my children and i, my wonderful children, have spent 8 years begging our white peers to care. it does something to you… to look into someone’s eyes, to say that you feel as though you could die, that the world has cursed you with this endless sense of urgency, and for them to only center their themselves whiteness in the end. even in the home we had created, we could not escape white supremacy. i refuse to sugarcoat just how heartbreaking a revelation this was. in the words of one of our truest and most gentle-hearted allies, internally, we had become parasitic, only existing to serve the needs and wants of our white members. and of course, we were disposable. when cycles of harm were disrupted, they left us without a single word of remorse.

my children and i, we are a broken people. torn from our homes, our hearts cracked open, we are a people whose throats are hoarse from screaming, who eyes flood like the mississippi river, whose soles are calloused from chasing after dreams (after humanization) across red-hot coal. we are burnt out.

so where does this leave us? what does any of this mean? crucial details highlighted below:

better future program, inc. (bfp) is changing. our nonprofit status will remain. but our volunteer positions will not. our liberation library will remain. but our discord server will not. we will no longer accept donations. our current funds will be redistributed through mutual aid networks. our 3,000 free resources will still be available. but our capacity for material change has truly been diminished. we hope to continue to provide marginalized youth with educational materials for as long as we possibly can. and so we will do so, for as long as we possibly can.

you see, my children and i, we are a resilient people. borne of slave ships and reservations, occupation and colonization, abuse and grief, we are survivors. our hands grasp one another’s tightly so that we may never lose each other in this world. we have held hands since before we ever even met. as we venture back out into our local communities, we will never stop being intentional in our relationships (in fact, we already have a new project in the works so that may stick together). better future program, inc. I’ve always found koi to be beautiful. Something about their varied colors and textures of scales has always instilled me with a feeling of wonder, and their general status as a creature that brings luck and wealth to their owner fascinated me. I came across a particular glassblower some years ago that kept some of the creatures in a pond behind his shop and we became friends over time. I learned much about raising these special creatures, but it was my idea that he start forming glass into their shape. A few magical enchantments and well, he’s now doing quite well I’m happy to say. Maybe the fish are a symbol of luck afterall.

Since the issue of whether Taekook were in Busan a day before is still a debate, let’s clear it up once and for all.

On the 12th of October 2022, Hobi posted this video to wish Jimin a happy birthday on his instagram stories (tried searching for Hobi’s post on x but only found this one from a jikook account. I checked and they are not a Tae anti but a true OT7 so I didn’t see the harm in posting this link from them)

This video was taken after their dance practice video of “RUN BTS” was filmed and we know this because Jimin and Hobi still have on the exact same clothes they had on in the video. After this, Jimin started his birthday Live at around 11:49pm on the 12th and he ended it around 1am on the 13th KST. During the Live, he mentioned that he had just finished rehearsals with the rest of the members before coming in to do the Live and I know that some people were confused about the timeline because of the video Jk posted for Jimin from the hotel room in Busan but that video was posted at about 5am kst. Jimin finished his Live at around 1am kst and seeing how they mentioned during the Live vminkookhope did on the 15th after their concert that they all arrived in Busan on Jimin’s birthday which was the 13th, then it is safe to say they all left for Busan after Jimin was done with his Live. It only takes about an hour to fly from Seoul to Busan and about 4hours to drive so Jk would have had enough time to leave Seoul to Busan, settle down a bit and then do and post a video for Jimin’s birthday at around 5am kst on October 13th which is when they said they all arrived Busan. So whoever mentioned seeing taekook in Busan on the 12th at night by the stadium couldn’t have possibly seen them because they weren’t in Busan then.

As for the beach, there also really isn’t any solid proof that Jk was there was Tae either and I know that some people mentioned seeing them but when you look at the trail of events it isn’t likely that the person with Tae at the beach was Jk.

After Jhope, Jungkook, Tae and Jimin finished their Live after the Busan concert on the 15th, Tae went out to eat at a restaurant called Ilpumhanwoo with his family, Hyungsik and a few staff and we know this because some fans saw them together and posted about it.

Some people questioned whether it was really Hyung-sik with Tae because apparently one of the servers at the restaurant who spoke about it didn’t say anything about Hyungsik being there but that was soon cleared up after the manager at the restaurant posted the autographs that Tae and Hyungsik left behind. After this, Tae was at the beach with some BH staff and he was definitely with some other person whom some people have claimed to be Jk but I don’t think it was Jk (and just before you call me a joker who is trying to debunk a taekook hangout, I am not) and the reason I don’t think it was Jk is because there is no solid evidence that points to Jk being there, everything is pure speculation in my opinion. Tae was at Ilpumhanwoo restaurant with Hyunsik, his family and staff, no mention of Jk being there and later he went to Haeundae Beach which is very close to the restaurant he ate at with the other people. So doesn’t it make more sense to assume that he stopped by the beach after dinner with the people he was with at the restaurant which were the staff and hyungshik? I know that the shoe prints and shadows is what convinces many people that it was Jk but Tae was the one wearing the bucket hat and the shadow was his. I know this because if you zoom in on the pictures he posted on the beach, you can see the folded black bucket hat in his pocket. The size of the shoe prints are also too small to be Jk’s. Compare the size to those of the other footprints, which we assume to be Tae’s and see the difference. The “video evidence” that one fan also posted about seeing taekook was a grainy video of what looked just like one person who might have not even been Tae at all, so it isn’t decisive. So the taekook beach date to me is one of those things which I put in a “taekook maybe” pile because while there is no decisive evidence that Jk was there, there is no evidence that he wasn’t either but given the trail of events, it makes more sense to me to think that if Tae was at the beach with anyone that evening, it was Hyungshik not Jk. The people or person who claimed to have seen Taekook in Busan on the 12th clearly lied or probably mistook some other people for taekook because we have decisive evidence that they weren’t in Busan on the 12th. Fans lie and make up stuff all the time. Fans have been caught faking sightings all the time for different reasons so it is wise to treat every sighting news without clear video or picture evidence as a maybe because if we all had to go by “fan sightings”, then Tae and Jennie would have been in Hawaii together at the beginning of last year because people claimed to have spotted them but we know Jennie wasn’t there. That’s my point. I also think Tae would have posted a picture if he was there with JK or who knows, maybe he would post the picture someday in the future but until then, it’s a maybe “maybe taekook” for me (in Peach’s voice)

shidou: tiktok (follows doctor meme accounts, millennial sense of humor, does his own research whenever he sees informative tiktoks)

mahiru: pinterest and facebook (looks at cooking recipes and outfit inspo, uses facebook to keep up with family, got mad when her bf didn't immediately change his relationship status as soon as they started dating)

kazui: facebook (the "kazui doesnt understand anything relatively recent" jokes are not getting old you cant convince me. he follows family and friends mostly but also a couple alcohol pages)

Hi Etta! Sorry if you already mentioned this, but where/how did you find your editors? (If you don't mind sharing)

Don't mind at all!

I know there are companies like Reedsy and the Writers Digest which have databases of editors, but that seemed really overwhelming. At the end of the day, the best way to get resources is to network (make friends, and hope their mutuals like you too).

Last year, I did an interview for Amanda Auler on Instagram and she boosted my account, so months later I ended up doing an interview for Addison Horner. He does editing for indie authors, so I asked him for a sample edit and liked it, but I wanted to get other points of comparison first, so I asked around and came up with a short list of editors. I contacted them, and when I had enough to compare, I ended up deciding I liked Addison best and drew up a contract with him. God moment that I found him so quickly.

But if I had to give this advice to someone else I'd recommend following these steps:

Read books in your genre. Read INDIE AUTHORS in your genre. Review their books. Follow them on social media. Be a friendly fan but don't make it weird.

Indie authors are one person publishing teams desperate for engagement and positive attention. They will thank you for your help and be willing to pay it forward when the time comes.

Once you have a handful of books you like that have similar vibes to your book, flip to the acknowledgements and find the editors name.

Google the editor, find their site, submit your inquiry, email works better than a form.

If you can't find the editor online, DM the indie author and ask "hey I really liked your book and it's a good comp title for my WIP. Who's your editor and what was your experience with them like? Do you mind pointing me their way?" Follow the author's advice. Repeat as needed.

(I've only ever received nice responses to this, don't be anxious. If they don't reply they're probably just busy, not annoyed).

When you contact editors, ask about their availability, rates, and be specific about what type of editing you need. Ask for a free sample edit. Mine were 250-2500 words.

Supply details about your WIP. Mine looked like this:

Title: Runaways

Genre: Middle Grade Portal Fantasy. I'm not labeling it as "Christian Fiction" as religion isn't a focus point of the story, but there are significant underlying Catholic themes.

Premise: When Cecelia goes missing one stormy Halloween night, her older sister, Hannah, must venture into the faerie courts to learn the truth about their past and bring her home. (Linked WIP Page with additional information)

Length: About 86,000 words, 180 pages (Times New Roman, 12pt, double spaced, standard 1in margins formatting). 21 chapters with an epilogue

Style: 3rd person limited, present tense. 3 POV characters: primarily Hannah at first, and then Cecelia and the third added later, alternating.

Status/Timeline/Availability: Currently with a 2nd round of beta readers, and I'll be getting feedback by March 31st. After editing the draft to reflect their feedback and doing my own line edits, I'll be looking for a line/copy edit around April/May or early summer.

Types of edits needed: As I understand, every editor uses "line" and "copy" edit slightly differently, but I'm looking for a combination of both styles if possible: checking for internal consistency, logical choreography, adequate descriptions, minor plot or worldbuilding errors, as well as language concerns like cutting crutch words, making sentence structure more dynamic, choosing the right verbs, etc. Developmental editing not needed. Waiting to do proofreading at the moment

When perusing at the editors site, look for credentials/certifications, their backlog of works, and testimonials

If you don't have enough options following this method, join some discord servers! I'm in a local NaNoWriMo group and a Catholic Writers Guild called Inkwells and Anvils which were both useful. I think there might be some writeblr ones as well. Find the critiques channel and send the same information there^^

Compare sample edits. Who respects your voice? Who supplied the most insightful comments? Do you vibe over email? Are they willing to do a stylesheet? Do they like your book? Can you set up a 15 minute zoom call to see if you vibe and discuss details?

Look at prices. My rate is $.015 a word but that's pretty cheap for the industry. Most of the rates I saw publicly were between $.02-.03/word for line editing.

Pray/sleep on it

Once you pick your best option, set a date to send them the manuscript, sign contracts, and make payment.

Send a polite email to the other editors and say "I regret to say you're not quite the right fit for this book, but I appreciate all your time, help, and advice! I hope to work with you in the future" or something along those lines. Don't burn your bridges.

Celebrate!

This whole process took me a couple weeks, everyone was very punctual and professional and friendly. I ended up going with Addison not only because he was the cheapest but also because he made 3X the number of comments as any other writer, and his comments were specific and useful. He understood my characters immediately, I think in part because his writing style is similar to mine, based on his debut novel, Marrow and Soul. We're both Christians who like YA dark fantasy. It's a good match. He's still taking clients for later in the year if that's your vibes. I also worked with Amber Burdett and Sariah Solomon, who were both lovely.

hey guys. think i’m leaving for good this time! there’s a lot and i mean a lot of reasons for this decision. but mostly it’s just general burnout and the natural progression of things.

i probably will log back on in the next few weeks, as i’m still mulling over the yule ball collab. i’d still like to host it - but that’s more of a finals week dilemma than a fandom one. on that, you’ll all be properly updated

it’s generally pretty exhausting to post these days, i left all my HL servers despite the friends i’ve made as well. it’s very draining to feel so isolated in such a boy obsessed fandom, and it’s giving me a lot of unintentional resentment towards these characters i once adored. it’s far easier for me to step away, and go back to my roots (star wars or some shit haha)

The Red Devil's Chronicles - Devil May Cry Oct. & Nov. 2024 News Updates: Bootlegs, Merch, etc.

Hey, how's it going? Here are the latest Devil May Cry news updates I've rounded up: 1. Despite some of the stuff hinted at by Johnny Bosch, Reuben Langdon didn't 100% retire from acting.

2. There's a knockoff game (still need to find out what game this is) that completely copied Vergil and his move sets.

3. First4Figures has a new revised DMC3 Dante statue.

4. Visual Novel Devil May Cry crossover game.

5. Hideaki Itsuno's new journey.

6. Capcom comes out with SDT tsum-tsums.

7. Devil May Cry Peak of Combat's servers shutting down.

8. Updates regarding the Netflix series. b) Mundus is planned to be in the Netflix series, and Tony Todd was going to be his voice.

My Thoughts On These Updates: 1. It's nice that Reuben's not quitting. Even he himself hinted at wanting to give up at one point due to not being contacted anymore, and how he feels he's getting too old to do that kind of stuff anymore.

2. How in the hell are these cheap, bootleg mobile games getting away with this kind of stuff?

3. I want that statue so bad, but I don't have the room. And it's quite pricey.

4. That's awesome that we get a visual novel with the main guys starred in another game.

5. That's awesome that Itsuno's new journey's going well. Looking forward to what he comes up with.

6. More cutesie beanies that I'd love to get, but don't have the room for. Plus I've heard that they can be difficult to ship to certain countries.

7. Honestly...It's about time that Peak of Combat gets shut down. It had its cool things happening, but their marketing strategies, discussions, and more were a complete mess.

8. Alright....Bear with me 'cause there's a lot~ I wanna say here about the Netflix series. First off, RIP to Tony Todd. That would've been a pretty epic casting. Wonder who's gonna voice as Mundus now?

Second....So there's been a lot of discourse and arguments with the fans about the series 'cause of Adi's reputation on how he handled certain video game-based projects before. What those people don't realize is that when it came to Castlevania, he was only responsible for season 1 and a part of season 2. He was never a part of season 3 and beyond, including the Tomb Raider series. Do people not know how to research and listen anymore? Whatever happened to look before you leap? Or never judge a book by its cover?

And on top of that, the amount of bullying, downgrading, judgment, sexism, etc. coming from the "true" fans of Devil May Cry about the Netflix series is completely absurd...Let's just say that I was one of the victims of whatever went down on Twitter/X when I tried to get those people to calm down, and even educate them on what's happening with it. Didn't help when I got petty at times due to my anxiety and stress building up from the amount of stupidity and hate coming from those idiots (sorry for being rude about what I'm calling them, but they're acting that way...I don't tolerate that kind of behaviour...Gotta deal with that crap at my job almost all the time, and it's tiring).

Now here are my thoughts about the Netflix series. I have high curiosities about it, and am looking forward to what Adi comes up with. But also being cautious 'cause you never know how it's gonna turn out. I'm definitely giving it a chance and will give my final judgment once it's all released.

Ever since its 1st announced, and as we can see from Adi Shankar's Instagram username, it's been stated and hinted that it's supposed to be a bootleg multiverse series, which means that it's going to be his own original take on what goes on with it (in other words, a fanfic). However, the most recent hints that Adi's been sharing on Twitter/X has mentioned that he's been working side-by-side with Capcom a bit, and is gonna make sure that he gets specific lore and characterizations from the games, 2007 anime, and novels as faithful as possible, but with some bits of his own twists thrown here and there.

Wanna know what's cool, too? He managed to get his hands on the unreleased DMC3 Lady manga, and has stated that he plans on adding his own take on Lady's origins based around the manga a bit. And about her outfits? He's stated that the characters are gonna change throughout the series (which explains why Mundus is gonna make an appearance).

Now about this whole plot thing regarding the Netflix series and the original. What people don't realize is that since DMC2, Devil May Cry's plotline has been a bit of a mess. There are still some unanswered questions, and some parts don't really tie with one another. There was also one point where Capcom wanted to reboot the series (big mistake). Then there was that whole chronological order of 3142 being changed to 3124, and changing the novels' canonizations when DMCV came to light.

And about this whole multiversal thing. There was a thing in the DMC2 novel where Dante and Beryl (a character that came before being replaced by Lady in DMC3) temporarily get plunged into an alternate universe where things got a bit mixed up (eg. Nelo Angelo/Vergil being the saviour, not Sparda, how Phantom, Blade, etc. have lesser humanoid forms, and more). So this wouldn't be the first time we see a whole multiversal thing happening with Devil May Cry.

And about Itsuno....There was that time he stated that he was gonna work with Adi on the series, along with Hiroyuki Koabayashi. But since Itsuno left Capcom, it makes me wonder if he's still working with Adi. There hasn't been mention of him remaining on supervising this Netflix series.

And finally. My thoughts about the character design choices for this series? I don't care what they look like as long as they don't become woke is all. It might not be a true Devil May Cry media, but it's still a Devil May Cry thing, which makes me appreciative and thankful. Some people can just be spoiled brats, and need to learn to keep quiet and not complain so much. "But complaining is criticism, too!" Yes...It CAN be....But what those people are sounding like are karens who think they can get what they want when something doesn't go their way. They're not even giving criticism at all, they're just being judgmental a-holes and spewing crud outta their mouths without researching and being patient...Glad Adi's handling their outcries well, even to the point of engaging with them. Looking forward to what other stuff gets shown about all this.
