Oral Cancer Success Story | Cancer Immunotherapy Treatment

This is a success story of Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, a 48-year-old, patient suffering from Oral Cancer diagnosed in June 2021. He belongs to Dhanbad, Jharkhand. He was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity when he developed a massive gaping wound in his cheek. The tumor grew to such an extent that it eroded his cheek muscle and skin. His cheek muscles were destroyed and he was left with a gaping wound that was infected and had a number of wound complications.

Here’s a photo of me speaking my truth last September about my life before, during, and after my experience with intimate partner abuse. . I was more nervous about who would show up to interrogate me in my small hometown than actually speaking my truth. I had already received word people who were great supporters of my husband would be there. . Events like these in my hometown usually don’t go to well especially when the person that abused you are from the same area. . Nevertheless, I marched my happy hips up when it was my turn and spoke anyway. . I’ve never been more proud of myself at that moment. . Being a public speaker is one of my favorite things to do. I wasn’t comfortable with doing it for a while until I saw the opportunity to do it. So I refused to think about it and signed up anyway. . GLAD I DID! . Everything I remembered about communicating and engaging with an audience came back to me. I forgot about all that were there and went in. . There were people there who knew my husband and afterwards said they had planned to ridicule me in front of everybody after I spoke. Instead, they gave me a big hug and told me how proud they were of me. . What stopped them? . Me talking about the attributes of abuse behind closed doors and how necessary it Is for the abusers to seek professional counseling than telling my story in a way that made my husband look bad. They said it made them realize the process of what victims rationalize in their minds for safety until they are able to get away (their words). . They thanked me for helping them understand the mental capacity of both the abused and the abuser as I spoke. . I’m just glad for the opportunity to present my truth on a platform and not bash abusers but rather reach out to the supporters for both parties so that both parties can successfully heal. FINALLY - made it to this place of going on another journey and I'm pretty stoked about it! . Abuse comes in many forms. One of the forms I'm currently healing from is financial abuse. . This is the toughest for me because I remember the last time I was on this journey was before marriage. I was so excited and proud of myself for getting out of nearly $40k in 4yrs versus the 10-17 years financial experts told me it would take. During marriage I lost control of everything to my abusive exhusband to keep peace and be safe as much as possible. . I will be fiscally fit again. If I can do it before, I can certainly do it again. This time, I'll journal my journey of being more strategic and sustainable. . I MUST CONFESS!!! . Sometimes I need to coach my own Self. . This is me this past weekend lecturing myself about being profitable and productive during lockdown. . I'm mostly extroverted, so staying inside all the time is very aggravating for me. I'm accustomed to doing more offline and outside my home because building relationships is what I'm good at. Building them online is good, however, it isn't my preference. . Now that we have been somewhat immobile since March, I'm still productive, but not as profitable. I know how to market myself online, but I chose to be stubborn (and the consequences of such behavior I have received). . After having a good lecture with myself in the mirror, I have used today to set up my online marketing so I can get back to engaging with you and help you support victims and survivors of abuse in your circle effectively. . Now that I've confessed, I'm free to be better. It's ok if you shut down for a bit, just don't stay there too long. . Get in the mirror and introduce yourself to a better YOU and get it moving. .
