Meet Rainbow Dash's Stand, Rainbow Factory!

Taking the form of a suit of armor, Rainbow Dash's Stand ability is all about manipulating velocity. The main way she does this is through velocity matching. By shooting rainbow-colored lightning bolts at objects from the dome-shaped modules on the armor, Rainbow Factory can either sample the velocity of an object or apply the velocity that was last sampled to another object. The boosters all over the armor can also use the sampled velocity to affect Rainbow Dash herself.

Any object under the effect of Rainbow Factory can also be gradually accelerated over time, either to change direction, slow, or speed up the velocity. This is not as instantaneous as the velocity matching ability, however.

Hypothetically, with enough Stand power, Rainbow Factory can sustain a constant velocity for an object, ignoring all incoming forces such as air resistance. Usually however, a sufficiently large and durable object can stop something thats been sped up by Rainbow Factory.

Overall, Rainbow Dash finds many uses for Rainbow Factory as a result of all its capabilities. She can launch projectiles, stop projectiles, punch at lightning fast speeds, pursue enemies, freeze people in their tracks, and surely much more.

Tanjorin is the creature responsible for bringing boundless fun with a hint of trouble; An eccentric and playful monster who takes on the task of disrupting order with a dash of sweetness!

Starlight Glimmer loves kites.

There's something magical about that. It's so simple. It has nothing to do with her arc as a reformed villain. It has nothing to do with any virtue, or character trait meant to encapsulate her entire personality. It has nothing to do with anything at all

She just...likes kites.

The fact that she shares this hobby with Maud Pie as their mutual respect and affection for one another is slowly blooming - that somehow makes it a much grander thing.

We all love the early seasons' dedication to crafting virtue-based morality tales - the clashes of personality; the crises of ethics rooted in each of the Mane Six's elements; the strengths, the weaknesses, the consequences, the complimentation.

But Starlight, and Maud, and Sunburst - they learn about friendship differently. They don't have archetype-based storylines, lessons, and arcs. They simply have...each other.

And that's enough.

Starlight shares her love of kites with Maud. And it's beautiful for what it is.

This very small thing somehow embodies every single thing that the later seasons did extraordinarily well.

I think you and I are the only ones who thought the G5 movie was fine while loving the 2017 Movie. From my experience, the fandom didnt like the 2017 Movie that much while liking G5's.

Oh, my, let me tell you something, my friend :V I could go on plenty a long-winded essay about exactly why the G5 movie is poorly made from a strictly professional and narrative standpoint. I can also express in that same essay exactly why the 2017 movie is structurally sound in comparison, by leaps and bounds.

I might actually do that sometime soon, just as an aside for myself, because I rather love deconstructing film from a screenwriting perspective, and I don't think I'll ever be able to get behind gen 5 for a myriad of reasons, but the key one is that it fundamentally is flawed. And I don't mean that ONLY because it uses gen 4 as a cheap launching block that it disrespects.

I MOSTLY mean it because the gen 5 movie doesn't know who it's main character is, and even when it does try to instate one as its main character, it doesn't give her a well-constructed want vs. need. You cannot write a good film — or even really, a good story at all — without that fundamental basic.

It's deeply amusing to me seeing all the fanart of the trans!Big Macintosh from MLP:FIM, because my baby sister (who I am not out to, especially not back when this conversation happened) basically assigned me Big Macintosh.

She was all "he's big and strong and doesn't say much! Like you!" and I was like "AYUP!"

And now everyone is drawing him as a trans woman. Not just a girl, mind you: the resurgence in Big Macintosh fanart I'm seeing is not "what if Big Macintosh was always a filly", it's very definitely "big masculine adult man Big Macintosh realizes he's a woman, and starts transitioning". And that's somehow more important to me, especially given my assigned-big-mac-kin status by my sister.

I was never the most masculine "man", but I'm Tall and Fat and just generally Big, and I'm not the kind of person who dresses extravagantly or puts a lot of character into how I speak. I'm a big autistic person who just likes to Do Their Thing instead of talking or visibly feeling much about it. That's why my sister went "you're Big Macintosh!"

So to see people taking that character and making them into a trans person like me, and not doing it in the Magical Genderswap way where suddenly they're a curvy thin short woman with makeup and incredible fashion sense... But as a trans woman, who still has the same traits she had as a man: she's still big. She still dresses like she's a farmer. She still only says what needs to be said, and gets on with the work that needs to be done.

It's touching, you know? And it makes me realize that when I do eventually come out to my baby sis, she'll understand.

The reason Impulse can't fly is because his wings are underdeveloped (think Scootaloo from MLP:FiM). The thing that can help him fly is elytra, but other than that, he can't fly naturally

I searched Impulse's channel from oldest to newest videos and I saw he played an SMP called Moonlight. So uhh, I integrated that into his lore. (It's a cult worshipping the moon like the mooners in s8 but worse :( )

MLP:FIM Theory: Green Element of Harmony

A theory created by DRWolf001, suggesting that there is a hidden 7th Element of Harmony that is Scorpan/Spike's.

Scorpan's Past

Canon: Tirek and his younger brother Scorpan first traveled to Equestria in the hopes of conquering it. Scorpan fell in love with the ponies and they're way of life, and became friends with Star Swirl swirl the Bearded.

Speculation: Scorpan finds Spike's dragon egg by itself just on the outskirts of the pony nation, and he decides to keep it.

Reasoning: Scorpan finding Spike and bringing him to the ponies is a reference to their G1 counterparts, where a similar thing took place.

Canon: In Princess Celestia's narration, she says Scorpan went back to his homeland after Tirek's imprisonment.

Speculation: Instead of him immediately leaving after Tirek's imprisonment, in actuality he stayed in Equestria for some years.

After Stygian brought the Pillars together to defeat the Sirens, Scorpan became friends with them too.

Canon: When Stygian turned into the Pony of Shadows, the Pillars create the seed that would grow into the Tree of Harmony by fusing their magic into it.

Speculation: Scorpan was the one who inspired Star Swirl the Bearded to create the Seed. During the spell, Scorpan was in the room with the Pillars, so his magic unintentionally was added to the spell.

After the Pillars sacrifice themselves to defeat the Pony of Shadows, Scorpan decides to go back home.

Where did his element go?

Speculation: Before Celestia and Luna used the Elements to defeat Discord, Scorpan had returned to Equestria to see if the Tree had grown. He finds the Elements and removes the branch containing his Element. The branch he took is turned into the Staff of Sacanas after he removed the gem within it.

Reasoning: This is based on an unused concept for the movie, which would've shown that Scorpan was the original owner of the Staff of Sacanas before the Storm King stole it from him, and that the Staff was made from a branch of the Tree of Harmony.

Because his Element wasn't originally a part of the spell, the other 6 Elements work completely fine without it. However, with the combined power of all 7 Elements, they can do much more.

Scorpan and Spike

The Mane Six each share elements with the Pillars of Equestria. Spike and Scorpan are not only connected by the past, but share similarities with each other as well:

Scorpan was Star Swirl's first and closest friend, and Spike is Twilight's first and closest (non-blood related) friend.

Scorpan is the only non-pony member of his group of friends, and Spike is the same.

Scorpan is friendly to ponies, appreciates their way of life, and enjoys living with them, just like Spike.

Castle of Friendship

The Castle of Friendship was formed from the Chest of Harmony, which served as the seed that planted it. The Chest itself was a sprout from the Tree of Harmony.

When the Castle formed, it created a 7th chair for Spike, which it technically didn't need to do if he wasn't connected to the Tree of Harmony in the same way the Mane 6 ponies were. Spike's chair is closer to Twilight's.

Although, it's possible that since the Tree is somewhat self aware, it knew Spike was Twilight's assistant/best friend, and lived in the Castle as well, so that's why it created a 7th chair for him, closer to Twilight's.

Unknown Green Element of Harmony

Throughout the franchise, when images of the Elements of Harmony are shown both within the show or other material, sometimes a green element is shown, usually in the place of a different Element:

However, there are some cases where the green element is shown with the other 6 Elements:

Each Element's color represents a part of the character's design that shares the same color:

Magenta: Twilight's cutie mark color

Orange: Applejack's coat color

Red: Part of Rainbow's mane and cutie mark color

Purple: Rarity's mane color

Pink: Fluttershy's mane and cutie mark color

Blue: Pinkie's eye and cutie mark color

Green: Spike's eye and spine color

There is a lot of glaring evidence here to suggest that this theory could be true. So much so, it makes me wonder if it's actually what they were foreshadowing and building up to... until Hasbro had them do the School of Friendship storyline instead.

The storyline for Season 8 would've been completely different, it instead being a continuation of setting up the Pillars in Season 7.

Okay! Lore time with Tipsy!! ✨

First of all, I'd like to make it clear that the Valley of Echoes, my AU, is mostly based on dreams / nightmares of mine (shouldn't be a surprise, they all live in a place called “Dreamtide” after all hsgshsh)

Third, this AU isn't all about roses and friendship – There are many topics that can be sensitive to some people. Violence and gore are quite common; And it continues with mental illnesses, domestic abuse, mentions of depression, etc. etc...

This creature here is based on a dream I had about FNaF! In the earliest version of the story, there were originally three guardians to look after the children of Solveil: Alpha, Beta, and Charlie (This one rabbit up here is Charlie, yes). My brain was becoming a mush trying to think of a new design for those three, and then... BAM!! I already like to reference other works in my stories, so why not? If you see something familiar in the future and think "Hey, I think I've seen this somewhere before-” Well, maybe you're not wrong! This time, I based the design of this monstrosity on one of my favorite artworks – The Drawkill series.

So, here’s a glimpse of the Chimera Initiative! A project created by Solveil and Twilight to hunt for shards of the Elements of Harmony and the like. Again, if you are sensitive, I suggest not paying too much attention to the smaller details – There's a lot of dark stuff behind this tale!
