"You have given me no reason to fear you," Stephanie said to her kidnappers calmly.
Stephanie Brown sat tied to a chair in a trio of kidnappers apartment. She was slightly afraid, but mostly aggravated she took Tim's advice on just being kidnapped and not fighting back when in civilian clothing. She could take these kidnappers down herself, but according to Tim it's better to be snatched. The kidnappers start up a recording on the leader's phone and he creeped closee to Stephanie. (I love the clip this was inspired by).
Kidnapper (Warren): All right, read this!
Warren held up a note book with a script for Stephanie to read.
Stephanie (squinting her eyes): Ma- Wow that handwriting.
Stephanie struggled to read what she could only describe as chicken scratch.
Stephanie: Ma, I have been abduct, I am fine-
Warren: Abducted.
Stephanie (dryly): It says abduct.
Warren: Just say abducted.
Stephanie (rolling her eyes): Ma, I have been 'abducted'. I am fine right now, but I may not be for loring.
She paused chuckling.
Stephanie (chuckling while continuing to read): I'm sorry, let's keep going-- If you do not pay the 'sun' of one million 'doolars'-
Warren (reading over the note): Wait a minute, wait a minute. Loring? The 'sun' of one million 'doolars'? What the-
Stephanie (mockingly): That's what it saaays.
Warren (pissed off): That's 'long' and the 'sum' of one million 'dollars'. You know what it means.
Stephanie (indignant): I don't know what it means. You told me to read this. That's what I'm doing.
Warren aimed the gun at her, but Stephanie crossed her legs not caring anymore due to the men's obvious ineptitude.
Warren: Just say what it means, okay?
He turned the notebook back to face her.
Stephanie (annoyed): I may not be for long if you do not pay the sum of one million dollars, you will never see me alive again these men mean 'businesses'.
Stephanie snort laughed.
Stephanie (jokingly): I'm so glad you got your child to write this. Where is the little tyke?
Warren shook with anger, reading the note again. He glared at the other kidnapper.
Warren: Kevin!
Joey (glacing at Kevin): I think he's pissed at the note.
Kevin toom a step back from Warren, holding his head down.
Stephanie (snide): It says 'businesses' that's what it says, you told me to read the note you never said to improv it.
Warren (lowering his gun and glaring at the sneering girl): Oh, improv! What are you Meryl -Fuckin- Streep? Okay, improv the note!
Stephanie (recrossing her leg and clearing her throat): Aye, Ma, these sexually frustrated degenerate losers mean (softer tone) business.
Warren (stammering and pissed off again): Don't- Don't- Don't improv it. Don't get smart.
Stephanie (with attitude): I'm sorry me passing english class in freaking home school ruined the flow of your crappily written note!
Warren: Fuckin- Joey give me a fuckin' pen!
Warren walked away, smacking Kevin on the back of his head. Joey passed him a pen. Stephanie kept her legs cross while whistling.
Warren (angrily whispering): Oh I was homeschooled, look at me. Fuckin' brat.
Stephanie: It's not whispering if I can hear you.
Warren went back over to Stephanie and showed her the new ransom note.
Warren (demanding): Read it.
Stephanie: Ma been kidnapped, send one million or I'm... Dead.
Warren presses the stop button for recording on his phone.
Warren (smirking): Perfect.
Stephanie (fake sweet voice): Good for you, your chicken scratch writing was so much easier to read. You write like a monkey with a typewriter but good for you.
Warren (shaking with anger): You're lucky we need this money.
Stephanie: Question, are you as bad in bed as you are at kidnapping?
Warren clenched his fists deciding it was better to walk away over unleashing his anger on the young woman. Stephanie kept her legs crossed knowing the kidnappers were about to deal with a born again catholic woman and one of her many batfam saving her.

Crystal listened to the audio that was sent to her from an unknown number enraged but also perplexed by one thing.
Crystal: The bleedin' nimrods din't have enough sense to edit this down? My lass sure knows how to give a tongue lashin' though. I'm proud of her. Well, time to call the rat bastard.
Crystal pulled out her phone and dialed Bruce Wayne's number. Without letting the man speak she interjected.
Crystal: Aye, me daughter got kidnapped and they're demandin' ransom. I work on a nurses salary, you're the Batman-
Bruce: Could you not fucking say that out loud. You're lucky I don't have you on speaker.
Crystal: And you're fecking lucky I'm not next to you with my slipper, who ya fecking think you're talkin' to!
Bruce (remembering who he's talking to): I'm-
Crystal: Nuh-uh, I'm talkin'! Either send them the money or send one of your many kids to save her. Oh and I am meetin' with ya later to discuss my daughter's pay. Yeah, we're bumpin' that up af'er this.
Bruce: I have no say in this at all, do I?
Crystal: Aye, I'll meet you at your manor in twenty minutes and we can get ready to save the child I trust you to protect but ya pissed me off.
Bruce: Okay.
Crystal: Okay, what?
Bruce (sighing): Okay... Crystal.
Crystal: Good boy.
With that she ended the call, grabbed her purse and keys, then left her apartment to save her daughter and give Bruce an earful.

I've been inspired Skunk. Do you lnow that TikTok trend where it's like "When they're all up on my girl in public but she thinks they're just being friendly" and it's that audio that's like COME HERE.
Can I request that.
Come Here.
Synopsis: Some guy's getting a little too close for comfort. Unfortunately for Sam, you're oblivious to it.
Warnings: Language, jealous Sam, Not really controlling but bossy Sam, Just funny shit
A/n: i got your other ask clarifying who u wanted :))
Nothing is ever simple. Never.
Actually, there are a few things that are simple. A lot even. Things that are exactly as they're supposed to be, things that never have any extra complications.
With you nothing is ever simple. there has to be at least billion things that actually prove themselves to be what they should be, yet anything regarding you just can't be one of those things.
Like shopping.
It was supposed to be a boring little shopping trip. It was supposed to be quick. Pick up some things you need around the house, stuff you've ran out of and stuff you've suddenly realized you need. Maybe convince Sam to take you to Victoria's Secret and leave a dent in her wallet.
Honestly, Sam would prefer that to what's going on instead. She'd prefer anything over this. Like sleeping in, or watching a movie, or maybe punching that dude who's got his hand on your back.
What's worse is that you don't even seem to realize what he's doing. You've clearly been standing there for a while now, speaking to some stupid guy with a stupid chain and an even stupider fake deep voice.
At first Sam didn't even know where you were, you'd just wandered off. She'd assumed you were going to get something else on the list. When she caught up to you, finding you at the other end of the baking isle, she wished she'd followed you.
"Just need to start looking right, you know?" This guy says, standing much too close for comfort. "Pull a ten, maybe."
You nod, smiling. "I'm sure you will, Ryan," you say politely.
Sam can see the way his eyes rake over you, the look on his face so clearly filled with want it's actually ridiculous you're oblivious to it. Then again, you always have been. That's how you were with her.
"Shit, if I was like you, I wouldn't need to do all this. But you're just mad pretty," Ryan says, laughing for whatever reason. You're smiling kindly but Sam's got what's probably the dirtiest of looks on her face.
"Oh, thank you," you smile. Sam rolls her eyes. This dude's not your friend.
"Y/n," she says, making her presence known. Your eyes widen and an even bigger smile graces your face, head whipping in the direction you heard the voice. Ryan looks too, though his face is more curious than anything.
"Sammy," you say, as Ryan's hand drops from your back. Sam feels herself let out a breath despite the fact that you're still a little too close to this guy.
"Come here," she says, arms crossing.
"Hold on, this is Ry-" you begin, pointing at the guy who's now a good two and a half feet away, though you don't get the chance to finish.
"Come here." Sam points at the ground in front of her.
You tilt your head, glancing between Ryan and Sam, but you don't protest. You make a face, something between confusion and annoyance. Sam doesn't notice, or else she doesn't care.
"Now," she says, something in her voice possessing an odd sort of finality. You let out an exaggerated sigh and glance at Ryan, who seems to be just as confused as you.
"Sorry, Ryan," you say as you speed up. For some reason, this causes Sam to sigh and roll her eyes again.
She's irritable all of a sudden, you think. She shoots the not so poor guy a look, a look that has him stepping back even further.
"Let's go," she says impatiently as her eyes land on you, urging you to hurry up. You give her a look of your own.
"Why'd you do that?" you ask, despite the fact that you're doing exactly as she's told you to, glancing back like that dude's actually stupid enough to still be standing there. Sam grabs your sleeve and pulls you little closer even though it really doesn't benefit her in the slightest (besides making her feel better) and leans onto the cart.
" 'Cause I did. When you're shopping, you're shopping with me," she tells you, tone suggesting that you doing otherwise is an insult or something alike. "Not some weird ass dude."
"Ryan's not weird-"
"He's weird!" Sam cuts in, throwing a hand up. "Weird and wants you. You're with me, you're shopping with me."
You almost laugh. It's funny. What is she even talking about? Ryan wants you? That guy you just met? Sam notices your little smile out of the corner of her eye and scoffs.
"It's funny 'till he wants a smooch," she says, dead serious.
That does it.
You can't hold it any longer. You burst into a fit of giggles, smacking Sam on the arm. "He was being nice, relax," you laugh, as Sam rolls her eyes for the millionth time.
"He doesn't need to, he's being a little too nice."
"It's not that deep, I promise!" you tell her, grin unwavering.
"It's always that deep! Everybody wants you! All the time! I do!" Sam shoots back, instinctively straightening up as you grab the cart, shaking your head and beginning to push it down the isle. She nearly pulls her hair out when you start fully laughing at her again.
"Made me forget what I was over here for," you say to yourself as Sam follows behind you, saying something about the elderly crossing guard across the street checking you out.
"So you need to stay with me all the time!"
I dunno how to end this guys

Distraction | L. Oberdorf
pairing: lena oberdorf x girlfriend!reader
warnings: uni work lol. kissing.
author's note: inspired by lena’s tiktok with lea :) the cutest duo, cant wait to see them play together at bayern.
masterlist
''Obi, I just need to finish this. Give me a few more minutes.''
''No, I've been waiting for too long.''
This was how it had been for the past hour, Lena trying to coax her girlfriend into giving up her university work to watch a movie with her, but the midfielder hadn't had much success so far.
Y/N sighed loudly. ''I am almost done, I promise.''
''You have been saying that for an hour now, babe, I am bored.'' She retorted, her frustration evident as she tried to sneakily grab her girlfriend's laptop, only to have her hands swatted away.
''Off, Oberdorf! I swear…''
''I just want to watch a movie with my girlfriend, that can't be much to ask.'' Lena continued whining, clinging onto her partner like a koala.
Y/N would have normally chuckled at her antics, if it wasn't interrupting her task to review an important chapter that would be covered in her class the next day. ''And I just want to review this stupid chapter, that can't be much to ask.'' She mocked the German, imitating Lena's facial expression.
The Wolfsburg player begrudgingly removed herself from her girlfriend's body, settling on the other side of the couch with a loud huff. Though she hoped her dramatic display would garner sympathy from Y/N, she soon realized that her partner was too engrossed in her studies to pay her much attention.
As the student continued to read through the assigned academic text, she heard some faint audio coming from her girlfriend's phone. However, she decided to simply ignore it and get through the grueling reading she had to do.
But as Lena turned up the volume of her device, the sound became increasingly louder, disrupting Y/N's concentration. She would have been more tolerant if it weren't for the fact that the same part of the song was being repeated over and over again.
She cast a glance towards the footballer, not looking particularly happy as she had to pause her activity again. ''Obi, what are you doing?''
''Making a TikTok.'' She answered, mumbling as she was focused on her phone.
''Can you do that in another room, please?'' Y/N asked, trying to not let her frustration be too audible in her voice.
Lena shook her head. ''No, I really need to do it in here.''
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows at the response, sending a pointed look in Lena's direction. Despite her irritation, she remained rooted to the couch, unwilling to give in to her disruption by relocating to another room.
About a minute later, she saw in her peripheral vision how Lena held up the phone in the air, seemingly filming the pair on the couch.
''Obi…'' She warned her partner, but Lena continued lip syncing to the audio, though she moved the camera back so she was only filming herself.
Y/N let out a breath of relief when the music stopped, her annoyance slowly withering away.
After what felt like an eternity, she finally closed her laptop, her reading session complete. With a stretch and a satisfied sigh, she pushed herself up from her spot on the couch and made her way over to Lena's side.
''I'm done, what movie do you wanna watch?'' She asked the midfielder, laying her head on Lena's shoulder.
Lena gave her a grumpy look, acting as if she didn't want anything to do with her at that moment. Y/N could see the cracks of a smile beginning to form at the corners of her lips, though her girlfriend was trying really hard to suppress it. ''Don't know…'' She muttered in an innocent tone, pretending she hadn't been whining for the past hour.
Y/N placed a gentle kiss on her neck, a smirk on her face. ''Too bad, maybe my other girlfriend would love to watch a film with me.'' She teased, continuing to peck her neck and collarbones.
Lena swallowed, her facade slowly falling apart. ''Hmm, maybe. Or do you keep her waiting as well?''
Her partner chuckled, her fingers tracing gentle patterns on Lena's arm. ''She doesn't mind being patient, it's what I love about her so mu-''
''Okay, that's enough! Let's watch that new romantic comedy I told you about.'' Lena interrupted, playfully pushing Y/N away from her, before wrapping her arms around her and attacking her face with kisses.
Y/N grinned, amused by Lena's subtle jealousy over a nonexistent person. ''Nice.''
Lena's hand found its way onto her girlfriend's thigh, while Y/N nestled into her side, resting her head on the German's shoulder once again. ''Comfy?'' Lena asked, glancing down with a soft smile.
Y/N nodded. ''Always.'' She responded, briefly lifting Lena's hand up from her thigh and pressing a quick kiss to her knuckles.
While Lena searched for the film on their tv, Y/N remembered the video she had been filming while she still had been busy with reading. ''What were you filming earlier, by the way?''
''Oh,'' Lena laughed, recalling the TikTok she had made. She retrieved her phone out of her pocket, opening said social media app. ''This.''
The footballer put the screen in front of her, the text on the video reading: Me when my girlfriend has to do uni work instead of watching a movie with me.
''Obi, that's such an unflattering angle!'' Y/N exclaimed, watching herself in the short video.
''What are you talking about, you look cute!'' Lena protested, zooming in on her form, clearly not seeing anything wrong with it.
Her girlfriend rolled her eyes, but let it go. ''You're gonna post that?'' She curiously inquired.
Lena shrugged her shoulders. ''Only if you're fine with it. People always ask me to make more TikToks with you.'' She answered.
''It's okay- you gotta give the people what they want.'' Y/N winked, leaning forward to place a kiss on Lena's cheek.
''True,'' the midfielder blushed, ''and I want to watch a movie with you now.'' She diverted from the topic, putting the phone back where it came from.
''What Obi wants, Obi gets.'' Y/N teasingly added.
Lena gave her a side glance. ''After an hour…''
''Oh, don't ruin the vibes!''

i hate that man — kim seungmin.
trope. enemies to lovers. college au. fluff. seungmin being a menace.
synopsis. the four times you think you hate seungmin, and the one time you think that might not have been true after all
word count. 5.5k words
warnings. a joke about jumping out the window, crying over a failed test exam, curse words
author’s note. inspired by that tiktok audio!! u know which one i’m talking about. credits to a dialogue i got from here (ur thoughts n feedbacks r always appreciated)
one.
Kim Seungmin is not your favorite person.
He is infuriating in the way he enjoys invading your personal space, always hovering around and blabbering his mouth nonstop every chance he gets. It doesn’t help his case (not that he wants to defend it in the first place) that he finds joy in hiding your things from you. You’d be damned if you left your notebook, even a pen, on your desk unattended. You already know the culprit is seated directly behind you, and the only thing you can do is ignore him in hopes that he returns it to you unscathed.
It’s much easier to not understand the reasons for why he annoys you. You would hate to find the truth behind his actions for the fear that he did it simply because he wanted to. This would only mean there was nothing to resolve to get him to stop.
Or worse, that he hates you. You admit with shame that you thought you’d actually get along quite well with Seungmin when you first met him. It felt like a scene straight out of a movie, playful banter and soft smiles directed to each other and the hopes of meeting each other again. It was honestly like a fairytale — until it wasn’t.
And you’ve tried before, to find out. You’ve made sufficient efforts in scouring for answers as to why he was that way with you, going as far as to asking Hwang Hyunjin (as embarrassing as that turned out to be). But, you had come out of all that empty-handed. So, you leave the unknown unknown and since then decided to just endure it. But it still has you wondering from time to time, had you burned down an orphanage in your past life to deserve this? Had you done something so sinister to be plagued by the presence of Kim Seungmin on a daily basis?
So, while you don’t necessarily hate the boy, you’d go as far as to say he was probably your least favorite person. And that notion weighs heavy considering you know resident menace Choi Beomgyu.
Still, Choi Beomgyu had nothing on Kim Seungmin so he’d have to accept being second to the last on your self-proclaimed list.
Speaking of the devil.
Seungmin parades into your classroom like he owns the place, laughing aloud side by side his friends. You simply drown out his obnoxiousness, the way you always do, though it never works considering it’s apparently his top priority to get on your nerves.
“Another Mcdonalds takeout?” He inquires, picking up the discarded paper bag on your desk to look inside. “You really should stop eating this junk so early in the morning.”
“Wow, keep saying things like that and I’ll start to believe you’re starting to care about me.” You abruptly grab the bag from his hands, moving to the back of your classroom to throw your trash properly before the professor walks in.
“Don’t be silly.” He simply laughs, taking his seat on your desk. “What do you even order?”
“Food, obviously.”
“No shit, Sherlock. What food specifically?”
“Why do you ask?”
“Can’t I ask a simple question?”
You know he won’t leave you alone if you don’t answer him. And you hate that you know that. So, with a begrudging sigh, you answer the boy. “Just nuggets and a Big Mac, now get off my desk.”
“Since you asked so nicely.” He’s being sarcastic, evident in how it’s obnoxiously dripping down his tone, but you can’t find it in you to care. As long as he’s out of your hair for a few minutes.
And you almost think the Gods have answered your prayers when you don’t come across him for the rest of the day. Something about that tells you there is a silver lining for the day, even if it is only ever a little line. You would hate to be blessed with his presence atop the Chemistry test you had at 7pm.
It’s one of the few advantages to signing up for night classes. The college halls were usually dead this hour, save for a few students on their way to the library after having their fifth cup of coffee for the day. And the lack of Kim Seungmin. It’s one sacrifice, giving up hours of your night, but honestly it really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Especially when your professor always ends early in consideration of those who still had to commute back home — they had to catch the last train somehow.
To replace Seungmin, you had Yang Jeongin in your class, but he usually kept to himself more. He was a lot more civilized than his friend, and you’ve been hoping this would’ve at least rubbed off on Seungmin.
“You ready for the test?” Jeongin asks after you had taken your seat next to him. The first thing you discern is the lack of textbooks and notes on his desk compared to everyone else’s pathetic attempt to review last minute. It seems he’s given up like you did.
“Absolutely the fuck not. I haven’t even eaten dinner yet so this is going to be a disaster.” You laugh, dropping your bag down on the ground just as your professor walks in. Jeongin is on his phone for the rest of the free time you have left before test papers and answer sheets were distributed.
It’s a horrible hour and a half, and the difficulty of the test makes you want to fall to your knees and weep. The lack of dinner in your stomach doesn’t exactly help your case as by the last few minutes of the test, you couldn’t care less about why you use ammonium oxalate to precipitate Calcium and Magnesium. The only thing in your head is a picture of your go-to Mcdonalds order as you pass your paper.
A jumpscare greets you on your way out in the form of Kim Seungmin who is holding a Mcdonalds paper bag in his hands, the same one you had just been daydreaming about.
“Jesus fucking Christ.” The sight of the boy spikes up your blood pressure, and you have to pause in your step to catch your breath after not having dinner, suffering through a long test, and seeing Seungmin all within the span of a few hours.
Though, what he does next surprises you.
“I ordered too much for Innie so you can have this, I guess.” He mumbles, shoving the brown paper bag in your direction. It scorches your fingers as you reached to grab it before it can fall to the ground.
It was a strange sight for Seungmin to be giving you something without asking. Strange and funny for it had occurred to you that if someone were to tell you Seungmin would be your stomach’s knight in shining armor, you wouldn’t have been able to believe yourself.
“Oh, thanks? You didn’t… poison this, did you?”
“How little do you think of me?” He simply walks away before you can reply to him again.
You scrunch your nose in confusion, leaning down to look into the contents of the Mcdonalds paper bag he had just given you.
Nuggets and a Big Mac.
Was this also Jeongin’s go-to order?
When you look back up, said boy greets you with french fries stuffed in his mouth. There’s a hint of a smirk that’s barely visible from his puffed out cheeks.
“You know, you can be really stupid.” Jeongin giggles to himself, patting down your head and messing with your hair a little before waving you goodbye. “Bye (name)!”
You simply stare at their retreating figures, head tilted as you try to drink in what Jeongin had just told you.
Stupid about what? The test?
two.
What is the connotation of a very thrilled Kim Seungmin walking into the campus library as you’re struggling with your part for your joint project?
You’re almost convinced something significant had happened for him to walk in with a shit-eating grin on his face, but you know better than that now. So, you simply ignore him, turning back to your laptop as Felix and Hyunjin greet the boy. He’s late, but knowing him, he’s probably finished his part of the project. You hate to acknowledge his competence, but you have to give credit where credit is due.
You could obviously ask for help, but you’d run through the streets naked first before ever asking the boy to help you. You refuse to be subjected to his taunting more than you already were. Besides, you don’t need help from someone like Seungmin. He’d probably be so arrogant about how you needed his help.
Rubbing your eyes for a split second, you go back to furiously typing at your laptop — so aggressively that Yeji has to pull you back for a bit in fear that you’d destroy your keyboard.
The five of you work on the project diligently, finishing the monstrosity of your synthesis paper for Life Science at almost one in the morning.
When everyone moves to leave, you stay behind, telling them you still had a few deadlines to catch up on, namely a Statistics paper and a book review for your English Literary class. While it wasn’t exactly due yet, it doesn’t hurt to start them when the pump of coffee is already in your system.
“See you guys tomorrow!” You say in a hushed tone, waving at the group before moving your attention back on your laptop.
And maybe it’s the sleep deprivation getting to you but you don’t notice Seungmin still situated at the opposite end of your table.
He doesn’t say anything either. He knows you’re running 50% coffee and 50% restlessness, so he simply sits back in his chair with a book in hand.
He could use the time to annotate anyway.
When Seungmin glances back at you thirty minutes later, he can only watch in amusement when he finds you close to passing out on the wooden table of the library. Your eyelids are starting to droop, and even though it seems you’re trying your hardest to fight it, you find that your sleeved arm is far too comfortable to refuse.
He immediately puts down his book, moving across the table to wake you up. It seems the appropriate time to tell you to go home and get some rest.
When you don’t respond to the gentle shake of your shoulder, he choose the next best thing to wake you up. With a text book in hand, he drops it on the space right beside your head, creating a loud enough sound to jolt you in your sleep.
“Come on. We’re going home. You’re a lost cause, anyway.”
“Fuck you.” You grumble sleepily, sitting up and squinting at your laptop before shutting it down so you can start packing up.
“I’m flattered, really, but no thanks.”
You scoff, and he simply smirks in response as he helps you put your things back in your bag.
“Why are you still here anyway?” It’s a question you’ve been meaning to ask him since you finally noticed him an hour back, but you chose to bite down on your tongue and stay silent instead.
He shrugs. “Had to annotate this book, and I’m already at the library so I might as well.”
“Okay, whatever.” You move to grab a pen that had fallen on the ground carelessly, and in the process, you feel your head collide with Seungmin’s hand instead of the harsher corner of the table.
You see red almost immediately. You hate to admit the small gesture has butterflies erupting in your stomach.
He doesn’t say anything as he pulls his hand back, so you don’t make a big deal out of it.
“What time is it?”
“Almost 4 in the morning.”
You hum, thinking of how you were gonna get back to your dorm. It was probably still dark outside, and you weren’t exactly willing to put yourself in danger over finishing up a few schoolworks at the library.
“You can go ahead. I’ll just text Ode to see if he’s still awake.”
“Why?” He quips, pausing to stand next to you outside the doors of the building when you stop walking.
“You’re gonna make fun of me.”
“There is a chance, yes. But I might not.” Seungmin smirks, and you roll your eyes.
“I don’t wanna walk alone in the dark.”
If Seungmin wants to laugh and poke fun, it seems he’s doing a good job at holding back. “Don’t disturb his sleep. I’ll walk you back instead.”
“Wow, you’re actually being nice to me for once.” You say jokingly.
“I won’t make a habit out of it. Besides, I was the last person seen with you and I don’t wanna be responsible if you go missing.”
There goes being nice.
This is how you end up walking home with Kim Seungmin. You don’t remember much about the walk home, just the proximity from where he’s walking next to you and the warmth radiating from him in contrast to the cold night. He has his hands in his pockets the whole way home, and it’s the little details like what seems to be the first genuine smile you see from him that you remember the most.
When you reach your dorm, he simply stares at you in a way you’re not used to before bowing and turning around his step to start walking back to his own dorm.
three.
A month later, Chan from your university’s basketball team decides to host a party at his house.
Being friends with half of his friends had its perks in that he enthusiastically invites you when you walk past him by your department’s hallways. And while you had every intent to decline his offer, Ryujin had already accepted for you and told him he’d be seeing you both there.
And by 8pm, you find yourselves inside his packed house, trying to navigate your way through drunken college kids. The entire first floor reeked of alcohol and sweat which wasn’t a great combination by all means.
The music is loud from Chan’s speakers, and you immediately want to go home and jump into the comforting sheets of your bed to sleep the night away. Ryujin doesn’t let you flee as she leads you to the kitchen where she tells you of where Chan hides his secret stash of snacks and ice cream. Another silver lining.
You spend an hour chatting and laughing on the kitchen counter with Ryujin, a spoonful of ice cream in your mouths as you make fun of multiple people’s dancing — not that any of you could do any better. Actually, scratch that, Ryujin could probably take them all on. You continuously ask if it was okay for you to be stealing these expensive tubs of ice cream and Ryujin just tells you she’s done it before, and that Bang Chan could most definitely afford some more if he wanted to. So, you continue to eat the ice cream without guilt.
Well, until Chan catches the pair of you, and you apologize profusely. He just laughs it off, looking at the two of you fondly before feigning a scolding. Turns out, he simply wanted you two to join him and his friends in a round of truth or dare upstairs.
Another thing to add and check off your non-existent bucket list. To be deemed sociable enough to be included in an exclusive circle of friend’s truth or dare despite only knowing around 4 people there. You think it might just be Ryujin’s doing, but you happily tag along to escape the mass of people downstairs.
When you make it upstairs, you’re surprised to see you know a lot more people than you thought you would. Yeji was there, seated beside who you think is Karina. Jeongin is with his friends, Seungmin included. Some of them you know, and some you just learned to be Jisung, Changbin, and Minho. The rest don’t really matter to you as you prop yourselves down in the circle.
And then a round of the game starts, and you start to question the things in this world that perplexed you. You used to think it were simple things — wet doorknobs, tuna fish, cramps, back pains. But after tonight, you might have to start modifying your own list. You can start with someone’s attempt to rap freestyle, the sight of a shirtless Han Jisung whom you’ve barely exchanged a word with but now have seen him half naked, the sudden knowledge of who was wearing a Spongebob themed underwear, someone (you believe was Minho?) roleplaying a scene from Zootopia. The list is endless.
Who knew a game of truth or dare could be this chaotic? Though, you probably should’ve known that especially being thrown into a group of such dynamic people.
Before you know it, the bottle lands on you and you’ve never wanted to wipe the smirk on Jeongin’s face so much than right now because you know he’s probably planning something that has to do with Kim Seungmin.
You think you can keep your anxiety at bay, that is until he starts whispering with Felix and Hyunjin and you swear that if someone opened the window right now, there’s a high chance you would make a run for it and jump and simply hope for the best.
“Don’t worry, it isn’t anything crazy! You can stop chewing on your nails.” You flush in embarrassment when the group laughs, and Ryujin runs a comforting hand down your back to make sure the attention isn’t too overwhelming for you.
“I dare you to hug Seungmin.”
“Excuse me?” You ask him to repeat his dare to you as if you hadn’t heard him. But you did. Loud and clear in fact.
The smirk on his face only grows. “I said, hug Seungmin.”
Okay, you know what, that should be simple. You sigh out in response before getting up from your seat to make your way towards where Seungmin’s situated, thankful he didn’t let you do anything as embarrassing as the others.
However, the closer you make towards where Seungmin is, wearing a top that accentuated his broad shoulders way too perfectly, and sporting a smug grin on his face, you start to think this might be the most difficult one of the night yet.
Seungmin stands in compliance to your dare, and you feel all eyes in the circle shift to the pair of you, as if anticipating it more than you.
His eyes survey you, as if to question if you were really gonna do it. And to egg you on further, he decides to open his arms wide which earns a few howls and whistles from the room. God, you hate him. You really really hate him.
And then you do it, just to get it over with, and Seungmin’s expression switches to a more taken back one. He didn’t expect you to actually push through with the dare. The longer the hug lasts, the more a ghost of a smile threatens to spill from his lips.
You have your arms wrapped around the entirety of his body, and his own resting just around your waist, and he’s crouched down a little so he can match your height better without you having to tiptoe so much.
When he presses you closer, the whole room erupts in cheers; vomiting air, nudging each other, and whistling.
Seungmin allows himself a quick glance at you, but there isn’t much to see when your face is pressed firmly against his chest. Perhaps to try and hide from the embarrassment of your friends shouting “get a room” even if you were just hugging.
He feels so warm in the air conditioned room, and it seems he didn’t have much to drink tonight when he smells more like fresh laundry and the perfume he always wears. This feels nice actually. But you would never tell him that. In fact, you have every intention of taking that observation to your grave.
When you finally notice the glances of friends and acquaintances alike around you, you pull back from the hug and immediately make your way back to your seat without another word.
You make a vow to yourself to get back at Jeongin for humiliating you like that — however, there’s a persistent voice in your head telling you that maybe you hadn’t minded that hug one bit the way you let on.
You ignore it.
four.
The sound of a shutter going off and a flash of light greets you immediately upon entering your classroom another month later.
It seems Seungmin’s found an upgraded way to annoy you (as if hiding your things wasn’t enough). With a new phone gifted to him on his birthday, he seems insistent on catching you when you’re unprepared. It makes you frustrated — as if he wasn’t enough of an irritant.
You should be used to Seungmin doing stupid things all the time, but even after months, you find that it really is a difficult task to endure. Why is he so intent on irritating you? You’re starting to seek for the answers you told yourself to stay unknown. How could you keep letting him be without knowing why he enjoys getting a rise out of you so much?
To add insult to injury, his loud voice greets you a good morning as he waves his phone around at you. You hope it falls and shatters.
Too far?
“What? Are you camera shy?” He smirks mischievously, turning to focus his camera back on you.
“At what point do you become mature?”
“Hm, not for a long time, I don’t think.” You have to remind yourself he’s provoking you for the sake of it, and you really shouldn’t be as affected as you feel right now. So, you breathe in sharply through your nose and just let him be.
When class ends, you’re quick to rant to Ryujin about Seungmin’s new discovery at getting a kick out of you.
“He won’t stop taking fucking pictures of me.” You mutter indignantly, putting all your frustration into your words.
“You know, they say you only take photos of things if you have love for the subject.”
“What are you trying to imply?”
“Just that there must be a reason why he’s so intent on having your face litter the memory of his new phone.” Ryujin smirks when your face starts to flush red at the realization of what she’s suggesting.
“Oh, shut up.” Your words don’t come out as intimidating as you want it to, and you spend the rest of the day thinking about it.
You confront Seungmin the next day, just so you can stop thinking about it. “Why are you taking so much photos of me?”
You’re already expecting that smirk on his face, and a feigned confusion. But, to your surprise, he looks genuinely surprised at your question. You’d go as far as saying he looked like a deer caught in headlights.
You’ve unknowingly caught his tongue, but he catches himself before you can catch on. With a half-assed smirk on his face, he says the best excuse that comes in his mind.
“Just so I have multiple material to use when I need to blackmail you.”
You’re appalled, and frustrated at yourself for thinking what Ryujin was hinting at might be true. You don’t even know why you were hoping in the first place. You don’t like the boy, right?
Your lips press into a straight line, and you swear your blood vessels might burst if you stare at him any longer so you storm back to your seat and ignore him for the rest of the day.
five.
There comes a point in the semester when all you’ll know is the quivering of your knees and the bloodshot red of your eyes from crying too much.
For you, it’s the result of a failed test score on a subject you studied really hard for.
You draw your knees up to press your face against them, finding solace in the quiet of the night outside. It’s early enough that you aren’t scared to walk home alone just yet.
You hear footsteps around you, but you simply drown them out in favor of focusing on washing out your frustration over yourself and that stupid test. Though, it proves a more difficult task when someone slides into the seat next to yours. When you look up, you see Seungmin staring at you. And he’s looking at you with an expression you don’t quite recognize, but equally don’t have the energy to try and deduce.
“Seungmin, I’m not really in the mood—“ He shuts you up with a handkerchief shoved in front of your face. “Why are you offering me a handkerchief?”
“Because you’re crying and seeing your stupid tears makes me upset. So wipe them away.” You stare at the handkerchief before studying his features for any hint of malice, but you see nothing but honest concern. You can’t help but feel a little touched at the uncharacteristic gesture.
“Thanks.” He hums, smiling gently down at you, and you think you’ve never seen him look this small before.
When you take the handkerchief from him, you make sure to return what looks like a trial of a smile amidst your scornful face and Seungmin is genuinely shocked you’d actually direct the closest thing to a smile at him — as if he had expected you to brush off his own and reject it.
When he shifts a little closer to where you’re seated, you surprisingly don’t feel repulsed at the distance and the way his shoulders brush against yours.
“Is it something you wanna talk about?”
The cold and quiet atmosphere of the night and the way Seungmin is looking down at you encourages you to speak, the way you never thought you would with the boy.
“Not really. Just… I’m so stupid for failing that test. And, and maybe if I studied harder than I would’ve at least gotten a more decent score.” You sigh, playing with the handkerchief as you look down in humiliation.
Seungmin scrunches his face. “It’s not your fault. We win some, we lose some. What matters is that we keep going despite the losses.”
He doesn’t snap back at you with a snarky remark like he usually would. Instead, he gives genuinely useful advice, and you think your ears could be deceiving you if he wasn’t seated directly next to you.
“Wow, I didn’t think you had it in you to say something like that.” You laugh a little, and you miss the way the tip of his ears heat in red at being able to solicit a laugh from you.
“You wound me.”
You don’t know what takes over you, but you find yourself leaning your head against his shoulder. For now, you’ll blame it on the exhaustion from crying so much earlier.
Your head against his body feels nice and comforting and warm against the biting air from the night, but you can feel him physically tense up at the contact and you almost pull your head back immediately if he hadn’t rested his head against yours.
The compromising position has Kim Seungmin in contemplation over something that’s been such a great concern in his life for the past few months, almost a year even. It had started when he met you, the first time he ever saw you and heard your voice, and the day he decided he’d spend every second thereafter trying to get your attention.
He mirrors the way you interact with your friends, and yet somewhere along the line, it had been misinterpreted into something it wasn’t and he had to live in pretense of irritating you when all he’s ever wanted was your attention. But, he thought, if this was the only way then he’d have to keep the facade up.
Besides, a little attention (even if it was with hatred) is better than none.
When Seungmin grows uncharacteristically quiet, you start to wonder what he could be thinking about and why there’s a small scrunch in his face as if he was deep in thought.
You never used to wonder what he could be thinking about. What’s changed?
“Seungmin?”
“Hm?”
“Why do you enjoy irritating me so much? Do you hate me?”
Seungmin peels his head from yours, staring down at you with a completely horrified look on his face.
“Hate you?” He feels nauseous that you could even think that, and he’s shaking his head quickly, compromising feelings he’s kept hidden for quite a while now. He’s so confounded by your statement that he gets up from his seat on the bench for a second to stare at you before calming down and returning back to his spot. “I don’t hate you. I— I could never hate you.”
You look at him, and you’re surprised to see that he’s genuinely astonished and a little upset at what you had just tried to imply.
“Then why?” You swallow down a lump in your throat, asking him in the smallest voice he’s ever heard from you. This was the perfect opportunity to ask him why, being handed to you straight on your lap, so you bite the bullet and ask.
“I actually thought we’d get along quite well when we met. And then you just started to… I don’t know.” His eyes are soft as he listens to you, lips slightly parted as if trying to think of the perfect explanation to clear your misinterpretations.
When you finish, Seungmin closes his eyes to recollect his thoughts. For a second, you think he might be coming up with an excuse to save himself but the earnest way in which he looks at you the moment he opens his eyes again quiets the voice in your head.
“I just wanted your attention.” His face visibly cringes at the sudden confession. Seungmin feels like he’s floating, looking down at his physical body that’s trying to explain himself without embarrassing himself further.
“You… what?” You blink.
He sighs out, wiping the sweat that’s gathered from his palms down his pants before tilting his head back as if trying to ask strengths from the Gods so he can admit to you whatever he’s been hiding. And then, he looks back at you and he finally confesses what he’s been keeping from you for months.
“I thought that maybe if I acted the way you did with your friends then there’d be a higher chance we’d get along. But then you misinterpreted it as hatred, and I’ve had to pretend I enjoy irritating you when all I really want to do is hold your hand.”
He squeezes his eyes shut as if afraid of your response, but all you can do is stare at him with your mouth parted.
This definitely wasn’t the response you were expecting.
“But… but it really felt like you hated me. Like— when you’d make fun of me for my food choices or that time in the library when you stayed behind to taunt me for being a lost cause.”
“You have me all wrong, (Name). When I asked you what you liked, it was an excuse so I could get it for you. Do you really think I’d accidentally buy too much dinner for Jeongin, and have the excess be exactly your favorites? And… and that night at the library. I stayed behind because I know you’re afraid to walk home late. So you would be less afraid if I walked you home.”
You meet his eyes, breath catching in your throat when you gauge the level of genuineness in his eyes.
“You— You hugged me as a dare in Chan’s party and sometimes that’s all I think about.” Seungmin falls silent after that, simply letting out a breath he feels he’s been holding for too long.
“Look, you don’t have to say anything right now. I know it’s a lot to take in.” He fiddles with the ends of the sweater he’s wearing, making sure to avoid eye contact.
“Seungmin.” The simple sound of his name from your lips has him looking at you despite trying his best not to. “I don’t know what to say.”
“That’s okay. It must be a lot to take in.”
“I thought you hated me for months and now, you’re telling me the exact opposite.” Your voice gradually quiets down, and Seungmin finds comfort when you scoot in your seat closer. “I really don’t know what to say.”
“Would it hurt to start over?” You’re greeted with his softening stare, and he bites his lips in anticipation for your response.
“I think… I think I’d like that.”
Seungmin immediately smiles, the kind of smile that’s difficult to hide even in the inky night, even if he tried.
You find yourself mirroring his own smile.
The thought of finding out the truth behind Seungmin’s actions has always scared you, but now you know you should’ve never been afraid.
Somehow, things are already starting to change, with an outstretched hand in your direction. You find yourself taking it in yours with ease.
“Hi, I’m Seungmin. It’s nice to meet you.”

Suns design is based more on the film version, while Moons uses the design from the books (specifically the blue coat version) and they actually fit pretty well for them. The poses and such are inspired by movie scenes!

The Faery People Series Part Four: Felix Lee
Felix is truely out of this world and there are so many reasons why he has so much Fairy or ethereal Energy to him. Born in Australia to South Korean Parents as 'Felix Yongbok Lee'. He grew up wanting to be a succesful singer or songwriter. So now let's get started with him...
Artistic. Felix has always had that artistic side to him. He grew up wanting to be a musician and after some years of hard work he finally made it as he debuted with other men in a Kpop Boygroup. In his group he dances, performs, sings and is also a good rapper.
His gentle heart. Felix is very empathetic and feels deeply as a human. He has a big heart and is not afraid to show it. He donated lots and lots of money to help those in need, is there for his friends and supports different human communities. He sometimes even feels to much of feelings asking himself why he has such 'useless thoughts.' He wants everybody in the room to feel save and seen and that is a beautiful quality and a heart of gold. He also crys easily when touched.
He has a huge love for children and donated insane amounts of money to help children in need. He donated for save the children aswell as unicef. He got invited to Laos and saw the kids he donated for themselves and helped the stuff out and played with the kids. He also donated to the children in Gaza and he showed off his save the children T-shirt and Phonecase several times!
He loves animals very much and would love to have a pet in the future when he can make the time for it.
Felix's appearance is out of this world. He looks like straigt out of an Fairytale or Fantasymovie! His pointed ears, charming smile, cupidlips and freckless gave him this Elven Prince Vibe! Especially his signiture look the blonde died hair makes him even more magical!
A Shapeshifter: Felix is what some could call a shapeshifter. Having experimented with clothing, Unisex styles, make-up, hairstyles and almost every hair color there can be Felix stands out and expresses himself freely. Like A Johnny Depp for each new Album he shows off a new look and hairstyle which made him look totally different every time! Despite his natural haircolor being Black he rocked every haircolor so far there is and it always looked strangely natural as if he possesed some kind of Fae Glamour.
Childline Nature: Felix posesses that childlike nature and innocence despite being in his 20's. He hates scary stuff and can't watch Horrormovies. One time after watching IT with his Bandmates he was to afraid to go to the Bathroom at night and woke one of them up to go with him. He also loves to laugh and have fun. He collects plushtoys, and likes Disney movies. In Summer 2024 he released his own song named 'Unfair' which was inspired by Beauty & The Beast as well as sending Posting an Audio where he would sing 'So This Is Love' from the Movie Cinderella. He also claimed to have loved Peter Pan as a Child and wanting to be him. Truely one of a kind.
Felix is o e of that people who could brighten up every Room just by stepping into it. He loves to make others laughe with funny faces or memes / funny videos he sees on the Internet or Tiktok. His smile could bring anyone to smile as well just like Fairies spreading joy.
Felix once stated that he has that gift of sorting a colour to different sounds. Not a lot of people on this world can do that and he even stated that the voice of one of his Band members is blue. Like other People with Fae Energy he truely gote some unusual gifts
He seems to expressed himself more than once to be afraid to be alone or not feeling undertood by people around him. Alot of Fae Children feel the same. Always feeling alone even tho there are so many people around that love you.
His enchanting voice is the one of an Elfenprince or a Nix trying to lure Humans to him. Felix is most known as 'that Kpop Guy with the deep voice.' He went viral several times and recruited thousands of fans because of it. People even made up a term calling it the 'Felix Effect' because it happaned so often. His deep chsrming voice sounds enchsnting and out of this world! Like a thousand year old Fairyknight who is older than the mountains. He also sings beautifully like an Angel. The duality of his voice is a true gift and sing of his magic traits.
Last but not least he earned himself a lot of fitting nicknames to him. Fans call him 'Fairy' , 'Elv' , 'Fairy Prince' or at the met Gala he went viral again with his long blonde hair and white suit designed by Tommy Hilfiger and people would call him Targaryen Boy. Fans also paint him with elf ears and in a magical way all the time. He is a true muse and the world doesn't deserve this wonderful man!

Hihii! I hope you’re having a good day so far (and that you get some amazing sleep 😣) but I wanted to ask—what are some of your biggest inspirations for your writing? What keeps you motivated to keep writing, (and a smaller question, do you have any book/fic recommendations)?
😚😚 have a great day.
PS, I absolutely adore your writing. It’s so simple yet so satisfying, yet different. It stands out a bit and I love that about your writing. It keeps me entertained and I love to read every single one of your writings <333

hi! thank you so so much! i’m so glad you like my writing. i honestly am mainly inspired to write from the fact that i day dream so much. i figured with how much time i spend pacing around my house imagining scenarios i could at least come and write it down.
i fuel my inspiration through music, edit audios(i have a huge playlist of compilations on youtube, plus tiktok), and i rewatch my favorite movie scenes for both angst and fluff and funny moments.
my motivation to continue writing is honestly and truly you guys :) i know i’ve been slacking off lately, and i’m so sorry😣 i’ve been in a writers slump lately. but i’ll update when i can!
i haven’t read anything new lately, but i tag other aphblr xreader creators on my pinned post on my page, so if you’re interested you should most definitely check them out! and if you can find or suggest more let me know, i’d love to add them to my list :)

'If you're the type of person to double tap edits of Josh O'Connor's glistening thighs in Challengers, or the kind of fan still favoriting clips of Andrew Scott's Hot Priest "kneel" command, you may have recently been led down another digital path: Celebrity-centric audio erotica.
A relatively new phenomenon pioneered by audio erotica apps like Dipsea and Quinn, actors have taken on the role of smut narrator, much to their fans' delight...Most recently, the Hot Priest himself recorded a three-episode story for Quinn portraying a queen's guard with unresolved feelings for a fiery rebel...
Caroline Spiegel, Quinn's founder, hopes the platform can use celebrities and horniness for celebrities to remove some of the shame around talking about sex. "Women and queer people have been trained that talking about their sexuality, talking about sex, talking about masturbation, is not good. Whether it's from a place of purity culture or homophobia or misogyny or slut shaming, it's in [the] way them having a happy relationship with sex," she explained to Mashable. "What's cool about [Quinn Originals] is it's really easy to talk about because you're not talking about sex, you're talking about Andrew Scott, you're not talking about masturbation, you're talking about Jesse Williams and Grey's Anatomy."
The comments on Quinn's social posts reflect those language habits, with fans flooding its pages with requests and comparisons to their other celeb or fictional faves. Following the release of Scott's first episode, Spiegel posted a TikTok video, captioned, "Pitch me on your Quinn celeb casting 👀🎧." Spiegel explained to Mashable that this is part of a strategy to find celebrities, and even influencers, who already have built-in "thirst fandoms."
Tyler McCall, the author behind Scott's "The Queen's Guard," explained the levels of fiction and fandom involved in writing a Quinn Original...
When commissioned for Scott's story, McCall said she perceived the writing process cinematically, almost like writing a movie script. And she pulled in a lot of pop culture inspiration, like Game of Thrones and the sixth installment of a '90s PC game called "King's Quest." "I was thinking a lot about Star Wars. There's always a 'Reylo' at the scene of the crime," she said...
Quinn aims to offer a less stigmatized way to explore sexuality for women. Spiegel sees fanfic — which Gesselman's observations backs up — and celebrity crushes as female experiences. "The female erotic mentality is very much around who the person is, and what's their backstory and what's happening. Female eroticism is sort of like a detective. You're trying to figure out: Who is this person? What's happening? Are they safe? Where are they? What's going on? Celebrity culture, the fanfic culture, reflects that," explained Spiegel. Quinn taps into those desires.
There's a sense of safety for listeners provided by discussing sexuality through celebrity. Not only is the fan listener familiar with Scott's voice and has a pre-existing relationship with his work, but the celebrity is consenting to the erotic content and Quinn co-signs it. It's not like the fan-for-fan erotic fanfiction that's produced and consumed on the depths of the internet. Instead, there are multiple faces for Quinn's content, both Spiegel on its TikTok and the celebrity partners.
"Quinn's whole thing is erotic content and historically it has been this very overly graphic, off-putting uncomfortable genre. Our bet is that it doesn't have to be that way, it can actually be something that's talked about over coffee with friends. That's a really mainstream, normalized, happy, healthy part of life," said Spiegel...
With the continued growth of celebrity obsession, technology is changing the availability of celeb fantasy materials to fans. In January, deepfake pornographic images of Taylor Swift went viral on X, spurring a debate about the ethics of AI tech, celebrity idolatry, and the government's role in stopping this harmful content...The rise of AI technology brings a celebrity's — and all of our — right to their likeness into sharper focus.
But if a celebrity can get ahead of this technology (and sometimes even their own fanbase), then maybe they can exert some control — or at least that's what Spiegel proposes. It may explain a celeb's unexpected collaboration with less explicit, non-visual platforms like Quinn. While the site's marketplace of creator-uploaded audios speak directly to the person masturbating, almost like phone sex McCall explains, celebrity-narrated Quinn Originals ask listeners to become a character themselves, distancing users from celebs even further.
"This is a way for celebrities who have this sort of thirst culture around them to say, 'Hey, this is gonna be on my terms. I want to feel empowered doing this,'" said Spiegel. "'I'm acting in this real, elevated piece of art that's also sexual.' Being sexual doesn't have to feel degrading. It's actually a very empowering, cool thing to deal with sexuality. What I think does feel degrading is this AI porn that people make against your consent, or putting words in your mouth, or asking you inappropriate questions."
Additionally, it's not just that the celebrity is consenting to a Quinn Original, but consent itself is a major theme of all Quinn audios. Spiegel aims to bridge the gap of a topic that she sees as underrepresented in erotica. "[Consent] is a really hot thing that feels in line with the story," she said...'

2 Shadows Unleash Blistering New Track “Mad God”
Vancouver based metal band 2 Shadows are heading into the New Year in high gear with their blistering new track “Mad God” on Rock Shop Records. The song starts with a brief acoustic interlude before bludgeoning the listener with crushing down-tuned guitars and staccato snare sounds, underpinned by thunderous bass drums and piercingly intense vocals. The song laments how people blindly follow the rules to get ahead in life – often without ever really knowing why they are doing it. 2 Shadows Glen Bridden says “When Tryst and I wrote the song Mad God we were inspired by the Phil Tippett film with the same name. We were blown away by the apocalyptic dystopian setting and the delivery of the horror elements in the movie and it got us excited to try exploring those vibes musically. Our song “Mad God” ended up being the easiest and most fluid song to write and we didn’t make many changes after the first demo. He continues “When it came to the lyrics of the song I focused on the dissonance visible in everyday urban life, like how lonely you can feel in a densely populated area and how common it is for people to numb themselves with prescription drugs and the like. It would seem people feel more comfortable ‘under an influence’ and that’s where the lyric “overdosed on sanity” comes from and where the dystopian horror begins to show itself and come full circle”. 2 Shadows are veteran road warriors and are planning a tour for later this year. The band plans to release more new music in 2024. About 2 Shadows: 2 Shadows has been together since 2015 and have been steadily honing their craft through continuous touring. They draw inspiration from legendary acts like Slipknot and Rammstein, while also being influenced by contemporary acts such as Motionless In White, Asking Alexandria, and Avenged Sevenfold. 2 Shadows have gained serious momentum over the last year by going viral on all social media platforms – especially TikTok, where they have over 390k followers, and on Facebook – where they have 320,000 followers. The band has an impressive 100 Million content views across all their networks. 2 Shadows have amassed 5 million career audio streams and more than 2 million combined video views on Youtube. https://www.2shadowsofficial.com/ Read the full article

Well, now that I've updated my favorite Christmas songs list. Here is my list of favorite Halloween songs. Note, this list is subject to change based on my mood.
Bonus: Locked Within the Crystal Ball by Black Moore's Night. It's not actually Halloween related but it has a very elemental magick feel to it so I felt it was worth a mention.
Also bonus mention for Queen's A Kind of Magic.
25. Witch's brew by Omnia. The lyrics are directly taken from Shakespeare's MacBeth but because the play is considered to be cursed the song may be cursed. The story goes that the scene with he three witches was based on an encounter Shakespeare had with some actual witches and as punishment for making them characters in his play, the play was cursed. Now actors and theatre crew consider it bad luck to say the name of the play. It's often referred to as "The Scottish Play" and the only time its name can be said is when you are talking specifically about the character. So because it might be cursed, I put it very low on the list.
24. Lost in the Shadows from the Lost Boys soundtrack. This is an old favorite as I used to watch that movie every summer but I associate it more with summer than Halloween which is why I put it so low on the list.
23. The Master's song, sung by Renfield in Dracula the musical by Frank Wildhorn.
22. Life after Life from Dracula the musical by Frank Wildhorn and sung by Dracula and Lucy.
21. Anything can happen on Halloween sung by Tim Curry for the TV movie version of The Worst Witch.
20. Hex Girl from The Hex Girls for Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost. From the Wiccan Eco Goth equivalent of The Spice Girls.
19. Touching old Magic AKA The Halloween song from the Halloween door episode of The Real Ghostbusters animated series. Surprisingly good for a song from an animated series from the 80s.
18. Halloween by John McCutchen. This was a pain to track down. I heard it on Halloween radio and liked it and it took me a while to find a decent recording of it.
17. Halloween by J. P. Ashkar. This song was a Tiktok hit last Halloween and the full (longer) version of the audio can be found on Youtube. It's really very catchy.
16. Creepy Crawlies by Scary Bitches. This song was (for many years) the unofficial theme song to the Spirit Halloween store. The first time I heard it was on the radio in a Spirit Halloween store.
15. Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) by David Bowie. Not quite Halloween related but it plays on Halloween radio and so does Magic Dance (which is listed under this one). The album Scary Monsters (and super Creeps) inspired Danny Elfman during his Oingo Boingo days.
14. Magic Dance by David Bowie for the movie Labyrinth. Sung by Jareth, The Goblin King, and his goblin minion, to entertain a human baby.
13. The Witches are back to the tune of the similarly named Elton John song, from Hocus Pocus 2.
12. One way or Another. The Hocus Pocus 2 version sung by Bette Midler.
11. I put a spell on you. Bette Midler's cover from Hocus Pocus.
10. Horror in Action by Kayak. For some reason this song makes me think of Cain and The House of Mystery horror anthology comics by DC.
9. You won't survive by Count Crow. A parody version of "I will Survive" sung by Dracula to his victims. I just think it's darkly funny.
8. Fright Night from J. Geils Band. This is the title track for the movie Fright Night from 1985 starring the late Roddy McDowall as a hasbeen horror actor who is dragged into the world of the supernatural when teenager, Charlie Brewster, believes his neighbor to be a real vampire. Peter Vincent must overcome his fears and becomes the hero he always pretended to be. Roddy McDowall's voice is even sampled briefly in the song.
7. Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. How can I not love this classic? But my favorite version of it is a recording I actually only heard relatively recently. Vincent Price's cover from the 1970s.
6. Thriller by Michael Jackson and Vincent Price. I mostly love it for the iconic dance but most especially for Vincent Price's poem / "Rap" and of course his iconic cackle at the end of the song. My friend Sarah used Vincent Price's cackle from the song as my ringtone on her cellphone for many years.
5. Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. This one is a childhood favorite. The title track to the original Ghostbusters movie and the theme song for The Real Ghostbusters animated series. The animated series inspired me to study parapsychology and made me want to be a parapsychologist when I was thirteen.
A recent interview with Ray Parker Jr. revealed that he loves the song because it always makes people smile. No one is ever crying when the Ghostbusters song is playing. He said how even little kids will answer "Who you gonna call?" with "Ghostbusters!" And that's what he likes about the song, it brings people joy. There's no negative emotion attached to the song. And I realized he's right. It's just a fun song.
4. Pet Sematary by The Ramones. Deliberately misspelt, this song was the title track for the movie of the same name, based on the novel by Stephen King. I actually like the song more than the movie. The song is from the point of view of someone who doesn't want to be raised from the dead. In role playing games I always made this the favorite song of my original character, Shelley.
A cover of the song was performed by Plain White Ts for the soundtrack of Tim Burton's remake of Frankenweenie (he was remaking his own short film but as stop motion). I actually prefer the original Ramones version. Though I do love it's use for a Frankenstein story.
3. Weird Science by Danny Elfman / Oingo Boingo. I love the song for it's bouncy nature. Yes, it's "Mainstream' but so what? Oingo Boingo fans who refuse to like any of their "mainstream" songs are (in my opinion) kind of pretentious. Yes, it was written for a cheesy teen comedy that later became a 90s teen sitcom on USA Network. But so what? The song is from the point of view of a scientist / sorcerer or alchemist attempting to create life. It's heavily inspired by Bride of Frankenstein and the version used in the opening of the Weird Science TV series samples clips from Bride of Frankenstein.
In role playing games I often made this the favorite song of my "therapist for monsters" character Percy Van Helsing.
2. Dead Man's Party. This song will now always remind me of a wonderful time I had with my cousin and soul sister, Jessica Louise Conroy and her son, Joey, at Six Flags last Halloween season. It played a lot over the speakers there and was already a Halloween favorite of mine. It's by Danny Elfman from when he was the lead singer of the rock band Oingo Boingo. And it makes reference to the scary story "Room for One More." Today Danny Elfman uses it as his encore performance at the end of his Nightmare before Christmas concerts but between 1996 until 2015 he did not perform it live. Now it's tradition that he adds it to his annual Nightmare before Christmas concerts. And the song became the basis for Six Flag's Halloween stage show of the same name, "Dead Man's Party."
1. This is Halloween. Written by Danny Elfman for Nightmare before Christmas it finally reached the Billboard Top 100 for the first time this year. My favorite recording of it is the demo version sung by Danny Elfman himself because it sounds like Jack Skellington is giving you a tour of his home town.
Another Bonus: I also love Halloween Bash by Irving Fink. I didn't put it on the list before because I couldn't remember who recorded it. I knew it as "Monster Bash" from Halloween Radio, a song I heavily associate with my dearest friend Lorie Pringle

Saw your ask game... Hope this isn't too many questions but if it is, you can just pick a few to answer? So uh...
4, 23, 56, 27, 41, and 68?
4: Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?
I tend to scroll through YouTube shorts or TikTok and find cringy edits about dramatic scene in a movie or show, sometimes I don’t even know the thing it’s from. I also listen to edit audios when I’m actively searching for a new idea or just music in general. Though, if you watch a character edit, it’ll really get you in that mood that’s like: 😎. And then bam, you probably have something in mind, then you just expand on the idea. I’m not very good at explaining things.
23: Best writing advice for other writers?
Hm… Don’t listen to other people if they talk trash I guess. And keep writing or you’ll never get better. The most important to me though, write whatever the hell you want.
56: What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?
Fanfiction is known for having bad grammar. And I know plenty of my fics have tons of grammar errors, but I think it’s much better than lots of other fanfics, I think you could easily overlook my mistakes. I also think being able to just come up with a whole story and plot is pretty cool about writing.
27: What is your most and least favorite part of writing?
I love brainstorming the story while listening to the music that fits the idea, however the actual writing part is always a pain.
41: Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?
Hm… Black Clover isn’t too big of a fandom, especially for the things I want to read, and there’s really not much to choose from. So I don’t have a choice but to reread things.
68: What, if anything, do you do for inspiration?
Another way for inspiration is by searching booktok or fictok (whatever they’re called) compilations on YouTube, it usually inspires me to write something.
Thanks for asking!

I’m back ;) I’m the anon who loved your x-men apocalypse animation especially. Really enjoyed your latest one as well! Gorgeous animation - loved the Jean Grey/Phoenix animation! The tiktok of Erik imagining/sitting down and taking to Peter is also a fave of mine - it did make me sad about the lack of Evan Peters - Michael Fassbender/ Magneto - Quicksilver scenes in the movies. Their dynamic could have been so great!
Yes, Dark Phoenix was a real mess. I do still absolutely adore the space scene though - it looks amazing and seeing the x-mens’ powers work together is just everything. Wish there was a lot more of that across basically all the film tbh. Loved seeing Quicksilver’s abilities in zero g! But despite how much I love that scene I can’t say that the movie is good. Honestly the frequent and unnecessarily large time skips generally bothers me - they robbed us of seeing the characters develop. I also can’t believe that Peter wouldn’t tell Erik for almost 10 years after the apocalypse incident.
I did try to brain storm a few ways of Erik finding out about Peter that could potentially be dramatically/visually interesting? One of my ideas was that for some reason, maybe due to Erik seeing red due to grief of losing Raven, Erik is wreaking absolute havoc and is trying to kill Jean. But the x-men have some sort of plan or just needs to freeze Erik so they can then stop Jean without killing her. And the scene would be Peter using his speed to try to get the helmet off Erik so that Charles could communicate with/or freeze Erik. And then because of Erik’s vast power he would be able to stop Peter in his tracks (similar to Jean in the film) and there would be a scene (similar to your animation) of him “grabbing” Peter in the air - throwing him up against the wall of the train(possibly?) to stop him, angry and pissed off and there would be this moment of Peter bracing himself genuinely worried he’s about to be killed - and Charles or someone else would panicked about what Erik might be about to do as he is blinded by anger - yell out the fact that Peter is his son. Perhaps for a second Erik would see Nina in place of Peter for a brief second as he recognises the familiar resemblance (as he is staring at another child of his in danger). And then of course he wouldn’t hurt him but instead freeze due to shock. What do you think? Too much? A scenario like this would kinda only work if the time skip is much shorter - maybe just a year. I quite like fics that address the fact that Peter is probably on some level afraid of Erik when he goes full Magneto. I like the scene when Peter claims to not fear him to his mother (which imho reveals that he in fact actually does). I think it adds an interesting layer to Peter’s feelings about telling him. I don’t think Erik would kill him - even if no one revealed their familial relationship - but that uncertainty in such a scene could kinda be dramatically interesting I think? I dunno, sorry if I’m rambling - I just quite like discussing alternative scenarios with other fans :) and wanted to hear your thoughts.
Ahh welcome back Anon!! Always a pleasure to talk X-Men with you! 💕
And aww thank you! I loved working on the Oleander animatic! The Phoenix was especially fun to animate, and of course the hug made all the hard work worth it haha. And awww yes! I love that edit too, it uses an audio from Gotham Knights where Batman is talking about Nightwing and how proud he is of him. As soon as I heard it I knew it would fit really well with a good timeline Dadneto, and I was definitely inspired by my fic The Hardest Part Is Leaving You which I had finished not long before making that edit!
Oh yeah, the effects in Dark Phoenix are actually pretty solid (at least most of the effects surrounding Jean and the Phoenix at least). Would have loved to see more of the X-Men as an actual team as well, but alas, the writers have robbed us of that yet again 😭 Guess that's what we're here for lol.
And OOOH Anon I love that idea! Definitely not too much, I think that's a great mix of angsty and intense but also heartfelt! And yes, a shorter timeskip between Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix is always appreciated haha. That's such a fair point about Peter being afraid of Erik when he's in 'Magneto' mode too. Usually I write them post reveal so I mostly play around with the concept of what their relationship is like after many years of bonding and trust has been built, which means Peter is rarely if ever scared for himself, but more likely scared of what Erik could do to others in the case Peter ever got hurt. Younger Peter would definitely struggle with that though I bet!
Thanks for sharing your ideas with me Anon, I love hearing them! If you ever turn them into a fic let me know, I'd love to read it! :D Have an awesome day!

Mastering Music Discovery in the Digital Age
Music is a universal language that brings people together. Over the years, the ways in which we discover and interact with music have transformed drastically. The digital revolution, coupled with advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), has made music more accessible and personalized than ever before. In this article, we’ll explore how you can take full advantage of modern tools to enhance your music discovery journey, from AI-powered platforms to region-specific streaming services like Spotify Canada.
The Evolution of Music Discovery
Gone are the days when discovering new music meant relying on radio DJs or word-of-mouth recommendations. Today, a plethora of digital tools cater to every listener’s preferences, enabling a seamless exploration of music from across the globe. The following advancements have played a crucial role in transforming music discovery:
Streaming Platforms: Services like Spotify have revolutionized music consumption, offering curated playlists, personalized recommendations, and an extensive library of tracks.
AI and Machine Learning: Artificial intelligence powers features such as automatic playlist generation and song identification, tailoring the experience to individual tastes.
Social Media and Sharing: Music sharing on platforms like TikTok and Instagram has further democratized music discovery, giving obscure artists a chance to go viral.
Among these, Spotify’s regional services, such as Spotify Canada, stand out for their ability to cater to local tastes while connecting users with international hits.
Leverage Spotify Canada for Tailored Music Experiences
Spotify Canada is more than just a music streaming service; it’s a hub for discovering both local and global tracks. Whether you’re in search of emerging Canadian artists or international chart-toppers, this platform offers something for everyone. With playlists curated specifically for Canadian listeners, Spotify Canada highlights homegrown talent while giving users access to millions of songs worldwide.
One of the standout features of Spotify is its Discover Weekly playlist, which introduces users to new music based on their listening habits. By using machine learning, Spotify creates a personalized listening experience for every individual. Canadian listeners also benefit from region-specific charts and features that celebrate national holidays, such as playlists for Canada Day.
Track Popular Trends with Spotify Number 1
Understanding trends is an integral part of music discovery, and Spotify makes it easy to stay updated with its global and regional charts. The coveted Spotify Number 1 spot represents the most-streamed song of the moment, making it a valuable indicator of popular music trends.
For listeners, following the Spotify charts can introduce them to trending genres and artists they might not have encountered otherwise. It also offers a glimpse into how global audiences are engaging with music. For example, a song that tops the charts in multiple countries often reflects a universal appeal, bridging cultural and linguistic barriers.
These insights also help artists and producers understand what resonates with listeners, inspiring them to create music that connects deeply with audiences. As a listener, exploring these charts can be a gateway to discovering new music you’ll love.
Identify Songs with Tools Like “How to Find a Song by Tune”
We’ve all been in a situation where we can’t get a tune out of our heads but don’t know the name of the song. Thankfully, modern tools like how to find a song by tune have made this frustration a thing of the past.
These tools use advanced algorithms and audio recognition technology to match melodies to their corresponding songs. Some platforms even allow you to hum or whistle the tune for identification. This capability is particularly useful for songs heard in public spaces, during commercials, or in movies, where the track information isn’t readily available.
For music lovers, tools like these add a layer of convenience and excitement to the discovery process. You no longer need to rely on memory alone or scour the internet in search of elusive tracks.
Harness AI with Suno AI Music
Artificial intelligence is taking music discovery and creation to a whole new level. Platforms like Suno AI Music are enabling users to compose, edit, and enhance tracks with just a few clicks. By leveraging AI, Suno allows artists and enthusiasts to generate music tailored to specific moods, genres, or purposes.
This innovation democratizes music creation, making it accessible to individuals who might not have formal training in music composition or production. For listeners, Suno AI Music opens up opportunities to create unique playlists or soundtracks, blending their preferences with AI’s limitless creativity.
As AI continues to evolve, platforms like Suno AI Music are likely to expand their capabilities, offering even more personalized and sophisticated music experiences.
Enhance Your Listening with Song Identification
Another remarkable innovation in music technology is the ability to identify the song by tune. Similar to finding a song by humming, this feature simplifies the process of connecting with tracks that catch your attention.
Whether its a background score in a café or a snippet of a melody in a movie, these tools use cutting-edge algorithms to deliver accurate results almost instantly. Such features have become an essential part of the music discovery toolkit, offering a seamless way to bridge the gap between curiosity and satisfaction.
Best Practices for Exploring New Music
While tools like Spotify and AI-powered platforms make it easy to discover music, there are several strategies you can adopt to maximize your experience:
Explore Curated Playlists: Platforms like Spotify offer thousands of playlists tailored to specific genres, moods, and activities.
Follow Recommendations: Don’t hesitate to dive into tracks recommended by algorithms—they’re often surprisingly accurate.
Use Social Media: Platforms like TikTok and Instagram are goldmines for discovering viral songs and emerging artists.
Attend Virtual Events: Online concerts and listening parties often feature new and experimental music.
Experiment with AI Tools: Platforms like Suno AI Music enable you to create and discover tracks uniquely suited to your preferences.
The Role of Technology in Shaping the Future of Music
The digital age has brought forth unprecedented opportunities for music enthusiasts. From the seamless accessibility of platforms like Spotify Canada to the innovative capabilities of AI-powered tools, technology is continuously reshaping the way we engage with music. This evolution not only benefits listeners but also empowers artists to reach new audiences and experiment with creative possibilities.
For example, AI tools can analyze listening data to predict emerging trends, while song identification apps connect users with obscure tracks they might otherwise never find. These advancements signal a bright future for music, where technology acts as a bridge between creators and listeners.
Conclusion
The digital revolution has made music discovery more exciting and accessible than ever. With platforms like Spotify Canada, AI-driven tools, and innovative features such as song identification, listeners can explore and connect with music in ways that were unimaginable just a decade ago.
Whether you’re finding your next favorite track through Spotify’s personalized playlists or creating your own music using tools like Suno AI Music, the possibilities are endless. Embrace these advancements and take your music journey to the next level.
