This is something I want to write about in more detail later, but speaking as someone who is also Chinese, I really love how Martin Li was written in the two Insomniac games and to me, he's a great example of how you can write an East Asian villain who isn't some kind of Yellow Peril or mystical martial artist stereotypical racist trope, but without erasing his culture and ethnicity, and actually let him have a sympathetic background story and motivations without him losing his edge, and he's actually allowed to grow as a character and given the chance to redeem himself without dying at the hands of or for a white character, and while he does draw some moral inspiration from May and Peter, it's ultimately Miles who helps him redeem himself as another character of colour.

I saw this suggestion on reddit and I'm 👀

basically, I saw some people suggest that in some sections of the game you, as the player, straight up lose control over Peter while he has the black suit and/or he uses completely different attacks/starts attacking on his own.

which, on paper sounds like a cool idea, but I could only see it happening in only a couple of scripted events during the main story. in free roam, it could happen once in a while during a heated fight or as a last resort/power boost when his health bar is low, because a feature like this might not be for everyone since players want to have full control of their character

it's still a cool idea that connects the gameplay with the story that I can totally see happening, but it'd have to be limited or we they could do it similarly to GoW where you press a button combo as a QTE and Peter unleashes hell on earth

Turns out writing on the phone is very difficult and takes a long time to do. I have been doing this work since three and half years ago and I didn't realize how difficult and long it took to complete my writing. My hands are tired, my fingers hurt every time I try to stretch or crack. I really should save money to buy a laptop. I don't really have a laptop and I do all my work on my phone and it takes quite a bit of time. And don't be angry if my fanfic or my series takes a long time to complete because I write using my phone. I have a lot of drafts and abandoned works in my notes so it takes a bit of time to complete it. 😶
