It’d been a long day. Waking up after Soyeon, expecting her beside you or anywhere else in the house, but to no avail, she was not. Lately, she’s been leaving early and coming home late to go work in the studio. Normally, it didn’t bother you, but today was one of those days where everything did. One of those days where nothing felt like it was going your way. You wanted nothing more than to just lay with your girlfriend, but she wasn’t even there to begin with. She didn’t respond to the text asking if she had lunch or the one that asked what time she’d be home. You were irritated to say the least, but you still went on with your day. That evening, you were getting ready for bed when Soyeon came home from the studio. She opened the door to you fixing the pillows on the bed. “Hey, baby.” She said as she put her bag and laptop on the desk. “Hi.” You say flatly and Soyeon cocked an eyebrow almost immediately.

“Everything alright?” She asks, confusion in her voice. You don’t respond at first, just continuing to make the bed. “Babe.” Soyeon says again, moving closer to you. Turning around suddenly, “What, Soyeon?” You snapped at her on accident. Her eyebrows furrow, her face puzzled.

“What’s wrong?” She asks and you huff and attempt to walk away. She grabs you by your arm. “Stop. I asked you a question.” Soyeon says, gentle but still stern.

You inhale sharply, attempting to keep it together. A part of you felt bad. A part of you was just sleepy. Another part of you just missed your girl. “Nothing,” You deadpan.”I’m just tired.”

Leaving Soyeon’s grip you walk to the bathroom. She treads behind you slowly.

“You sure that’s all?” She asks, leaning against the doorframe. Her eyes not leaving you for one second.

“Fucking hell. Could you just drop it? You’re so…” You sassed, trailing off. Your voice slightly louder than intended. Soyeon readjusts herself, making sure of what she’d just heard. “Watch your fucking mouth.” She warns, dropping the gentleness of it all.

You scoff, walking away to plop yourself on the bed. “Or what?”

She chuckles, joining you on the bed. You turn your head away from her. Soyeon scoots closer to you as she places her hand on your neck, turning your face towards hers with her thumb and index. She eyes your lips and then your eyes, forcing you to hold her gaze.

“What’s with you tonight, mm?” She hums, her voice low. “Trying to get on my nerves? Is that it?” She asks into your ear. You roll your eyes, shoving her hand away.

Soyeon sucks her teeth. “Such a damn brat.” She places a kiss to the shell of your ear. “I think I know a way to get rid of this little attitude of yours.” You feel your breath hitch.

Soyeon moves so that you’re sitting in front of her, her chest warm against your back. She slides the strap of your shirt off and places a warm kiss there. Her hands move down to your hips and pull you closer to her. She grabs a handful of your hair and pulls your head back, leaving your neck exposed at her leisure. Your head drapes over her shoulder as she kisses at your neck. Her hands trailing over your waist and torso, grabbing at whatever they could.

“Please.” You croak, only loud enough for her to hear. Soyeon’s hand crawls up your shirt and her hand covers your breast, giving it a light squeeze, your nipple being pinched between her fingers. Soyeon ignored you as she continued to tease you, leaving evident marks on the side of your neck. You ground yourself against her mindlessly to which it was then that she took the hint and trailed her hand down from your stomach to the front hem of your shorts. You squirmed under her touch, desperate for her to give into you.

“Don’t tell me this was all you wanted,” She taunts. Her hand slips into your shorts, “Getting all pissy with me when you just wanted to be fucked.” Soyeon rubs your clit over your panties with her middle fingers and you let out a needy and desperate whine. John's second victim

This is written super quickly and might be kind of long but bare with me! I think I found something regarding Mikoto's case! Theory under cut :D

Ever since the trial 2 ending video I been thinking non stop about the fact that seemingly it confirmed the theory that John was a serial killer, for context ever since Double released I was in the belief that John only killed one person (the blonde guy we see in MeMe) and that his memories were just fragmented (since he was still forming during the events of the murder) leaving him to believe he killed multiple people (especially considering how dismissive and well how he doesn't seem to recall much about it, only remembering the fact that he wanted to protect Mikoto). Of course now we know that Milgram basically told us Mikoto is one of the people in Milgram with one of the most kills (idk why they translated to “the most kills” when Shidou is right there, but in jp it’s more like “one of the most”). 

This led me to question, how and who. For John’s blonde victim who for now I will call Blondie, I had a pretty good idea on how the murder and everything happened, I won't get into detail since it would take a lot of time to cover, my oomfie made a post that I agree with. Tldr Annoying coworker Mikoto was not very fond of, pent up rage for this person led to John killing him to get rid of this “stress” that was causing Mikoto (maybe someday I will go more in depth with this idea). But then there was the problem that, ever since the trial end video, I started to notice that MeMe in fact does show two victims, Blondie (the train murder), and… another person. 

From the framing of everything, John wearing the same clothes during both murders, and that it’s shown that it happened on the same night, I concluded John killed two people in the same event, but… my main question was, who was this second victim, I had a pretty solid theory on who Blondie guy, but this second person was a complete mystery to me, I reread everything to try and see if there were other clues but really I had nothing, we don’t even have a design for this person, but we know it exists because of the Undercover crime location, it matches up pretty well with where we see John kill this second person.

(Especially the wires)  Meanwhile we know Blondie died by the train, so no doubt about it. (I mean he died in a sort of tunnel place, where we can see here clearly they are more in the open, we can see the sky..!)

While talking to my friends about it this night, rewatching MeMe on loop to try and see something, I spotted something interesting: In the scene that we see Blondie crawling away, the screen has like the same effect on the edges as when we see a person walking towards Kayano at the start of MeMe, this effect is supposed to resemble the inside of an eye, as if we are seeing from the point of view of a person.

In both of these scenes we can see that the “screen” blinks, making it obvious we are seeing from the perspective of a person. 

And it’s not just some visual effect of the scene, as we can see when the scene zooms in, the effect is nowhere to be found.

But look, during the murder, this eye like effect is on full display

This person is no other than the second victim. And this shows that victim two witnessed the murder of Blondie, they saw John kill, and once John noticed he killed them to keep away from anyone knowing. Basically victim two is just a witness who saw the first murder, ran away, and got killed. We can tell they ran away since the crime location in MeMe is noticeably somewhat close to where the train station is. (Credits to Doctor Bunny, I wouldn't have been able to notice this haha)

in here I will lay out how I think the events happened, because my wording probably doesn’t make any sense lolll

also this could explain all the imagery of Mikoto feeling “observed” in both MeMe and Double images here

(in fact, we even see the same effect on the edges as the victim two pov in here lol)

And to add last, it would make sense of John’s statement of “killing whoever was passing by”, because truth be told, that second victim truly was just a random person that was passing by, who just happened to witness the murder.

16. How do you motivate yourself to draw? & 19. Where do you find inspiration?

So I feel these two questions have a similar answer! But for motivation I usually try to find a time of day or space where I'm comfortable, alone (I hate drawing with people around) a long youtube video on the bg and a cup of coffee, it's only after that that I can start thinking about drawing hehe and I motivate myself by drawing something that I like and that I know at least one friend also likes, say a rarepair me and one other friend enjoy....so I just do a salute ala hunger games towards my screen and go "for my oomfie...!" And that's enough to keep me going lol

As for getting inspired, I like watching movies or listening to music and relate them to the current thing causing me brainrot

Like say, I watch LOTR and go "oh this quote would totally be one x character from x show/game would say" and I write it down to use it as inspiration later

Same thing with a meme hehe or maybe a cool pose in an anime or a movie and be like "it would fit these 2 characters so well..." and use it as inspiration for a drawing of my own

I can actually show u an example hehe I watched the movie Anastasia and there's a quote that made me go "this is totally something link from skyward sword would say about his zelda" and wrote it down in my notes for a possible future drawing

I have many notes like that in my phone lmao

When people say it's unique 🥹💖 and that they like how natural the interactions between characters look when I draw them! That they like how I draw emotions 🥹💖 those things ..I always cherish it when people tell me that 🫂💖

Behold Oomfie's quite strange and peculiar Love Pentagon

From left to right:

Yuzuki and Naoko's romance is mostly on the platonic side, but it's a REALLY strong platonic romance, officer. An long time friendship and comradery that started way before they discover that they are MagiMonsters. We're talking "mangaka accidentally writing the most intense gay love in their straight shonen manga" level of partnership. Naoko and Yuzuki respect each other's skill level and they both seek to progress as MagiMons, so they tend to train together, watch each other's back and learn from one another. It helps a lot that Naoko views it as a playful competition.

Yuzuki and Hikaru's romance might be the "default" one of the 4 choices. At first, Hikaru doesn't really like Yuzuki (she hates everyone, you see) and sees her only as "this airhead klutz who says weird things out loud and has weird mannerisms". Only after she joins the team and start actually being friends with Yuzuki and learn more about her that she realizes she's far from her initial preconceptions on her. Yuzuki, on the other hand, kind of admires Hikaru's boldness and honesty, which she lacks. At first, it's Yuzuki who is the most emotionally invested in this friendship with Hikaru, but as the bond grows deeper, the balance shifts as the more Hikaru learns on Yuzuki, the more she is willing to make sacrifices she wouldn't even think doing for anyone.

Yuzuki and Tsubame's romance is... Complex, to say the least. Tsubame is a loner. Tsubame doesn't talk to anyone. Yuzuki knows this, but she refuses to let her go and always tries to reach out to her, to no avail. Tsubame refuses to open up unless she believes someone deserves to know about her, so when Yuzuki proves herself "worthy" of her trust, she decides to join her team and open herself juuuust a little bit. Yuzuki is a bit off-putting to Tsubame in a lot of ways (especially her way of speaking), but she realizes that she cares deeply and isn't faking it. She hopes she can more learn on her as well.

Yuzuki and Yuuka's romance is weird. As you can tell, Yuuka is the complete opposite of Yuzuki in a lot of ways, and even Yuzuki admits she feels really intimidated by her presence. Rather than Yuzuki having a crush on Yuuka, it is Yuuka who has a crush on Yuzuki. After Yuzuki "saves" her, Yuuka accepts joining the team and tone down her ways just so that she can follow Yuzuki. She finds her genuinely fascinating, not because of her name, but because of her personality. She wants to see her strive out of her comfort zone and push her on the edge. She wants to see her use that sword so much. Yuzuki, on the other hand... She doesn't get it. What does Yuuka even see in her? And what she sees in Yuuka... Well, she spots beneath the cracks a fragile and kind soul. Maybe she wants to see that more.

And obviously, if y'all remember Her... Uriko... I'm currently in the progress of finding a way to implement her in this now intertwined narrative. But know that their bond remain the same: close friends since #Forever, developing a romantic bond, but Yuzuki being a MagiMonster, and having to keep that secret, and Uriko being a human makes it really difficult for these two to thrive in a healthy relationship.

Can we talk about how jj is the more selfless pouge while also being the most selfish. i mentioned this earlier but a lot of jjs impulsiveness is rooted in fear, but more specifically in fear of loss. he actively operates as if he’s gonna lose everything so he takes large and irresponsible risks because he thinks that the outcome of that risk will protect his family (the pouges) a great example is actually in season one when topper is fucking waterboarding john b.

jj presses the muzzle of the gun against toppers head, exposing the fact that he has a gun to topper ( an active enemy ) and the rest of the ppl at the keg party. when pope gets on his ass about it jj even says smth along the lines of “im protecting him” jj assigns himself the role of protector because he KNOWS out of all the pouges he was the least to lose. i think if we’re talking about how jj is in a relationship, it’s really easy to feel unimportant to jj especially if we’re not saying reader was originally part of the pouges. the pouges are jjs family, people who have been beside him for YEARS and even if he loves you, it’ll take a long time to be that important to him, but usually his relationships don’t last that long. i think it would cause jjs partner to view him as a really selfish person (because even if the intention isn’t bad, flaking on your partner for other things/ppl is inherently selfish) but i also think on the opposite end of that, if you are someone who jj cares about as much as the pouges, like the rest of the pouges you’ll still view him as selfish bc they view jjs reckless acts as selfish. Because they care about him, jj endangering his livelihood feels selfish too them.

that’s exactly why i said jj is the most selfless selfish character in obx, on the surface his actions make it seem like he’s flying by the seat of his pants (and in a way he is) but jj is also smarter than ppl give him credit for, and even if does act on impulse a lot, there’s usually a “reasonable” explanation. i say “reasonable” bc there is USUALLY a better way to handle smth but like i said earlier, jj is constantly in survival mode so he usually jumps to the most extreme option because he feels like that’s the only option that guarantees the outcome that he wants

I enjoy your writing a lot — whether it’s your essays or your reviews. In a weird bit of coincidence, actually, I independently followed your letterboxd, medium, and tumblr and only realised it was all you today. And now it’s obvious because whatever the platform, I keep being drawn to your writing — it’s matter of fact yet still tender in a way, and your essays are so incredibly thorough and well-researched.

I guess I wanted to ask 1) how long it takes you to put these things out and 2) how do you manage yourself so you’re not burnt out by all the legwork? Maybe it’s my grad school fatigue speaking but the idea of putting my pen where my mouth is feels daunting, so any insight would be welcome.

side note: I found you on letterboxd because I unknowingly had a “transbian” oomfie who was overly-familiar but not particularly off-putting — until he was very, very mad at Envy/Desire which then piqued my interest and yada. and my answer will most likely be incredibly unhelpful to you. i'm actually seeking (in a life quest way but making some moves recently) ways to become someone who can write more regularly and in a more consistent way. i was kind of fascinated by the concept that i would be putting in legwork - it's the other way around, sort of.

i have ideas for several essays right now, and when i write an essay, i usually just sit down for 1-3 hours and write it all in one go. i have the sources i need because they're things i've already seen or know about, it's just referencing the references in my head. i think i wrote the envy/desire review in about 45 minutes and then just published it. sometimes i try to edit for a few days but often i just pull the trigger (NEED TO NOT DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

i have an incredibly fraught and difficult relationship with writing (or making anything) that has caused me a huge amount of emotional torment in my life so it's really nice to get a genuine compliment that seems to assume i am not just an insane person who sits down and writes insanely which is pretty much what happens

KITTY'S CREATIVE CYCLE: i am thinking about this so much → oh man i'm getting pretty pissed off/sad/beside myself/overwhelmed by the joker nature → i am snapping and sitting down and writing insanely → don't do anything for a year because i dislike myself so much → fuck i'm really starting to think about something a lot

but quite often i rev up on the first two parts of the cycle and then just fritter away to nothing for no reason. it sucks! it is not a good way to be a creative. but i am trying :) and that's what we can do as women. despite all of the ways i feel (very negatively about myself and my work), i can still take the action steps (writing whenever i can, taking myself and my thoughts seriously) to add to feminist intellectual legacy and encourage other women to do the same thing
