Seeing everyone calm down today and start to look at different aspects of the race and clips and stuff with a new perspective (post-race day clarity, as I like to call it), I've seen many people praise Charles' start yesterday! And it's super well deserved, like it was great reaction time and he did what he had to do to get away quickly and put some distance to p2, but the car race pace simply wasn't there. No big deal, not his fault. But everyone's reactions are reminding me of yesterday's commentators on the channel that I watched. Translated from Bulgarian, they said:
*During formation lap* "Honestly, it's a big question mark for us as to why that car (SF-24) is there but it's Leclerc so it makes sense. If we are looking at (car) performance, Sainz represents it more accurately (like that's where the car should be, at the position Carlos had)"
Then they dissed McLaren some: "Mercedes is a bit of a question mark as well but not as much as the Ferrari. Realistically it would only make sense if McLaren were here (at the front) but for them the issue is not with the car"
*During the start and first few laps* "Leclerc has had a brilliant start, he has done everything required of him to pull forward, perfect sense of braking and accelarating, he's losing nothing on those corners compared to the competition!"
Idk I usually watch races without sound and was greatly surprised at the astounding adoration our commentators had for Charles 🥹 Considering the shit I read from SkySports usually this made me nearly weep
Sometimes it's just nice to hear that others see what we see every single week. And he did have a great start, the chances he held it were slim considering the cars behind, but that was a good show of how to defend position at the front and make it look effortless.
Thank you for transcribing all of this <3

Teacher: what do you do in your free, Pearl?
Me mentally: I read fan fics about harry Potter's dead father and Harry Potter's dead godfather's long dead brother falling in love over and over again. I also read the dead gay wearwolf and Harry Potter's dead godfather falling in love. Oh also Harry Potter's dead mum and this character that was mentioned once in the books. OH have i told you about the insane deatheater in Harry Potter's forth year who kidnapped the head of aura and this one twink that I'm pretty sure cut off the said head aura's eye which is pretty hot! And also-
Me: I read.

a couple of demigods are just hanging around camp half-blood having a casual conversation and maybe they say something mildly blasphemous so zeus angrily rumbles some thunder about it. percy directly addresses the sky like "dude don't you have better things to do than spy on teenagers? weirdo" and then goes back to his mild blasphemy. hermes and poseidon look like they're trying not to laugh which only tempts zeus to smite the smartass child down even more

Do you think Johanna settled for Anders’ despite him being so non committal and always leaving her behind because that’s the kind of love she was used to? Do you think she thought this was all she deserved? And it’s through loving Hilda so strongly that she could never dream of leaving her that she realise love isn’t supposed to work like that? Do you think she wondered if she was wrong when Hilda started to drift from her as well in season 2? Do you think she wondered if this was always how it would go?

Was gonna write a long ass post about this but honestly I think I've said everything that could be said but it is really insane to me still that Hank McCoy loved the X-Men enough to torture, kill, assault and betray anyone that needed torturing, killing, assaulting or betrayed, but he didn't love them half as much as he loved Simon Williams. Isn't it insane that Simon was the only man in the 5 years we've seen him descend to give him something resembling a conscience, to make him give up everything if it meant Simon would be safe. Isn't that fucking insane.

started writing the raine and eda confrontation and. it really is incredible what a Fucking Mess eda is. i'm not even doing it on purpose, like it's not part of my chapter outline. she just sees raine and immediately all thoughts, feelings, and rationality fly out the window. eda is like "i'm gonna have a calm discussion with my ex" and she plans for it and thinks about it and truly means it, like she really is as well-prepared as she could be.
and then raine shows up and eda is immediately like "lmao, omg. isn't it crazy how luz looks like she could be our daughter????"

The sheer audacity of this bitch, I can't wait for the smug satisfaction of seeing this stupid mofo die in a horribly and hilariously ironic way.
