I adore the dynamic between Johanna and Anders. Grown up lesbian looking back on her heteronormativity-induced mistakes from when she was barely an adult. Sighs wearily. Wants to hug her younger self for everything she went through but also shake her by the shoulders and ask her ‘what was she thinking?’. Sighs wearily again. Vents about it to her tiny invisible bi best friend. If we had to see this relationship at all, this was the right way to do it.

[Hilda and Frida are at Anders’ apartment for dinner]

Hilda: Thanks for the invite Dad, I hope it’s okay I brought Frida.

Anders: That’s fine. The more the merrier, plus I want to know more about your friends.

Hilda: I want to wash up before dinner, where’s the washroom?

Anders: First door on the left.

Hilda: Thanks, dad.

[As Hilda leaves, Anders and Frida are standing in the main room awkwardly]

Anders: Ummm, so……you do magic……

Frida: Yeah, I’m studying witchcraft and Hilda is my familiar.

Anders: I know a bit of magic. I learned some on my adventures. Here.

[Anders flips his hands around and a flower appears]

Frida: Wow, sleight of hand magic! I’m studying actual magic but that’s still impressive.

[A few moments later, Hilda comes back and sees Anders and Frida waving their hands around]

Hilda: Um………what’s going on?

Frida: Your dad is teaching me magic.

Hilda:………………

Can you believe it’s been over a year since Plenism was first released? Because I sure as hell can’t! This story has been such a joy to work on, and I want to thank all of you who’ve left comments and otherwise supported this little passion project of mine. I seriously doubt I’d have been able to keep the motivation to work on this for so long otherwise!
