🌸Inosuke Hashibira Affection Hcs🌸
• To say the very least, Inosuke’s new to the whole idea of physical affection.
• I mean with his background, he’s experienced little to none of it at all.
• Despite the fact that even when you shower this boy in love and affection 24/7, he can’t help but be taken aback by it.
• Not to mention he’s awkward about it.
• Inosuke probably doesn’t even know how to kiss properly ;-;
• Meaning that he has no idea how to kiss you back or have any idea (or even the slightest fucking clue) about what he’s supposed to do.
• his hugs? Yeah uhm, he’s basically there letting you hug him. While he’s just standing there like a deer in headlights-
• BUT, Once he warms up to it.
• he's certain of one thing
• it’s that he LOVES receiving affection!
• His heart feels like it’s going to beat its way out of his chest accompanied by a blush dusted across his features.
• So despite being so awkward, he adores affection from you, his amazing S/O!

So I rewatched Yuukaku episode 9 for depression science reasons and I noticed something interesting :
When Inosuke uses the "Explosive Rush" in the battle against Daki, while Tanjiro and Zenitsu are covering him, he doesn't use his usual "kiba/fang" before the attack's name. He actually says "hachi no kata", instead of "hachi no kiba" as he would usually say.
The only usual occurence of this happens when he uses the seventh, "Spatial Awareness", which is always a "form" and not a "fang" (the wiki has that listed correctly too). I assumed that was intentional from Inosuke, because that form is the only part of Beast Breathing that isn't meant for attack, so it would make sense that he sets it apart from the rest. The eight one, however, ought to be always be fang because it's probably the most beastly one of all, where Inosuke rushes headlong without a care for the enemy's attacks.
So why would he call it a "form" here? Why would he suddenly revert to the word that every other slayer uses, when he's always so proud of being different from the rest of them?
I believe that it's all in the context. Never before has Inosuke so voluntarily entrusted his life to someone else, let alone to two humans. At this very moment, Inosuke entirely lowers his guard so he can focus on only one thing: attack, attack, attack. His life is out of his own hands.
He is one of them. He's a member of the Corps, he's a member of a crew. Zenitsu and Tanjiro are not only his underlings, they are his comrades. His trusted companions.
Inosuke doesn't feel the urge to set himself apart. If anything, he desperately, more than ever before in his life, need to belong. He's spent the entire battle hearing about their forms, and all of a sudden, when teamwork has never mattered more and he's launching an attack alongside his two best friends, simultaneously... he doesn't need to set himself apart anymore. And that's how his subconcious brings forth a form rather than a fang at this specific moment. He reverts to a fang right after, when he reaches Daki's neck.
Either that, or his voice actor got confused. We'll never know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT: WE KNOW!!!!!
ITS NOT AN ERROR!!!! he says "kata" in the manga too ♥♥♥ the headcanon LIVES!!
i'm so sorry for doubting you matsuoka-san ;w; pretty much every translation I've found said "fang" sobs why would you erase this little tidbit!!!!

Douma,Inosuke,Shinobu,Kanao
ohhh so many characters :D
¸¸♬·¯·♩¸¸♪·¯·♫¸¸¸¸♫·¯·♪¸¸♩·¯·♬¸¸
douma: Deliver Us From Evil (Blind Guardian)
there's freedom at the gallows // there is luck beyond the stake // this test will clarify it all // surely evil won't surrender // surely evil never sleeps // we cleanse this place, let's hang them all
this song is about the salem witch trials and something about these people burning innocent women at the stake to appease their idea of a higher being and douma as this idea of a higher being himself luring young women into his cult to kill and devour them strikes me as eerily similar
inosuke: Chaos Royale (Sister Sin)
kill the king and long live my tyranny // i'll give you anarchy, for all i'll give you anarchy // kill the king and let the revolution sing // all shall obey or die // have no fear 'cause i will end democracy // i know what you need so no one dare to question me // kill the king and let the new era begin // all shall submit or die and hail my chaos royale
this is how inosuke views himself i'm sorry
shinobu: Invincible (Amaranthe)
inject the brutal vaccine // one man against them all // like the truth never dies // i'm indestructible // can't you see who i am // i'm invincible // like a force that is out of control // it's the key to achieving my goals // unbreakable
this is just the theme song for shinobu's final battle and it also kinda fits her being a doctor? like she's the one who patches all the demon slayers up after a battle and uses her work to gather all of this knowledge on how to use poison to kill demons so she can perfect her craft to hunt down the one demon she has sworn to kill
kanao: Oblivion (Palaye Royale)
feels like i'm invisible // communication minimal // i go off like an atom bomb // so loud without a sound at all // ask god to save me // but she said maybe, no // i'm in between the sky and sea // i'm floating in oblivion // i'm in between entrapped and free // i'm floating in oblivion
kanao's identity crisis is so profound to me actually. her asking constantly who she is, if she's anyone at all and who she wants to be and she's trapped in this nothingness, in this oblivion of being no one and she asks god to save her, asks her sisters what they want her to be but her sisters just telling her that she has to be her own person and in the end she's left wondering if she did right by them
