all of us villains fancasts :)))) before i begin let me say when i was reading the books i didn’t picture them at all like their descriptions and honestly im sort of giving this the percy jackson treatment because none of their descriptions are all that relevant im just going for vibes. i fully understand this will be unpopular. this is (semi) age accurate casting and also i did everything in my power to avoid accidentally casting the entire heartstopper/percy jackson/IT/stranger things cast because ive seen too many fancasts that just look like comic con panels
alistaire lowe: walk with me here. cormac hyde-corrin. i will say i do want him to dye his hair for the role. i think he is good at playing kind of horrible but alistair isn’t some evil monster and i want an actor who can also get across the awkward side and doesn’t drift too far into draco malfoy territory
isobel macaslan: so i know all the mains are supposed to be like 17 and the same age but i think that would have to be rewritten to everyone is 18 and isobel is 19 or 20. her and briony’s friendship doesn’t rely on them being the same year in school it can be easily explained but i need to find ages where it’s appropriate for her to date alistair AND reid. also i just think india amarteifio is gorgeous.
gavin grieve: aryan simhadri to me could play the nice guy who everyone assumes is going to die really well.
briony thorburn: xochitl gomez has that tough but good look i dont know to me she IS briony
finley blair: yall would not BELIEVE how difficult it was to find someone to embody finley and yall might think im crazy for it but here’s issac ryan brown.
elionor payne: just work with me on this one. momona tamada.
carbry darrow: i know it’s almost an obvious answer but idccc iain armitage is the best i can find without picking walker scobell. (i had to avoid picking percy jackson actors for everyone tbh)
hendry lowe: milo manheim has the very kind hendry look to me.
reid mactavish: jacob bertrand can very easily look like a total creep to me but also has enough charm to seem like someone it is possible to be attracted to
innes thorburn: scarlett esteves just looks very sweet and doesn’t look like a fighter

Alright, huge commission I made for a fanfiction I’ve been working on for a while now
This amazing and detailed piece is by Cj_KhalifP on Twitter.
I still can’t believe how detailed and thoughtful it is (although tumblr does lower the quality slightly)
I don’t know when my fanfic will be ready for posting, but this is a scene from it!!!
What I can tell you, is that it’s a crossover. The characters of All of us Villains placed into the world of book series A Song of Ice and Fire, by George RR Martin, aka, the books that inspired Game of Thrones.
It will have romance, drama, dragons, magic and politics. Aouv and Asoiaf are both passions of mine, so I’m glad to share this with you :)

salutations fellow human being! if you are taking requests, may i suggest the aouv crew (there needs to be a better nickname for them) as children? idk just an idea
p.s. this is also a reminder that al had a bowl cut when he was 6-7 years old :) do what you will with that info :)))
I AM ALIVE! [insert 20 exclamation points here] ok but seriously sorry for dipping off the face of the planet :(
here’s the line up! i kinda forgot everyone’s exact ages. i’m going to go ahead and say the characters are in 3rd-5th grade right now. also isn’t elionor one of the oldest champions?? uhhh idk
additional headcanons:
we all know Reid is a huge nerd. he probably leaned into the nerdy-ness a lot as a kid. this kid wore starwars shirts every day. also glasses, (i believe this is canon)
Isobel was actually rather quiet as a kid. she preferred books over people, and liked talking to adults more than kids her age. she was still exceptionally clever and motivated, but she didn’t really learn how to be sharp-tongued and ambitious until she befriended Briony. she owes her people skills that got her through the months before the tournament and all the reporters to her best friend.
Briony basically coerced Isobel into joining a thing called spell scouts. think like boy scouts or girl scouts or any other youth program but for a magickal world. things like nature and survival skills were taught, but also the basics of spellcrafting and ethics of spell using. (just imagine them in their little uniforms)
Finley was pretty athletic and played a few sports, but didn’t fancy working with a whole team. he attempted junior league soccer (wait… football??? i am american help) but found that he preferred scoring points for his team rather than with his team. he did summer swim at first and running, but wouldn’t discover fencing until he was older (i believe he is the team captain in high school) oh, he also totally did summer theater camps.
Alistair TOTALLY had a bowl cut. unfortunately, he has curly hair. Marianne Lowe thought his curly hair (which he inherited from his father, whoever that could be) was unbecoming for an eventual Lowe champion, so Alistair’s mother would have to magickally get it to stay straight every day. this is part of why Al lacks freckles— whenever Al went outside, humidity would turn it back into a curly mess. so, under Marianne’s instructions, he just never went outside. he later stopped straightening his hair (and outgrew the bowl cut thank god) but the habit of staying indoors stayed with him.
Elionor experimented with dying the ends of her hair when she was younger. the blues and pinks never really showed through because her hair was brown, but she liked it, so that’s all that really mattered. she also wrote fanfiction and posted it to online forums despite technically not being old enough to use them.
after losing their father and having their mother leave them, it was hard for Briony and Innes to feel noticed within the large Thorburn family. they went about trying to feel accepted in different ways. Briony, obviously, was loud and learned to announce her presence to feel heard. Innes preferred a more subtle approach, learning a particular relative’s interests and schedules to find a way to slowly do little things to win them over. stuff like doing their chores or completing their hair.
Carby was like… basically a baby at this point. so… [insert toddler personality trait here]
Diya definitely did extracurriculars at school. she won the spell fair (like the science fair but… y’know… spells) three years in a row and was a member of the book club that included a tournament with other schools at the end of the school year (which she won, duh) she was pretty competitive with it, too.
Gavin… thinking about his childhood makes me so not ok. he realized pretty early on he was basically a sacrifice to a tournament his family would never win. Gavin knew about the tournament, and realized he would be the champion, and had always seen how distant his parents were, but didn’t realize what that really meant until a bit later.
OK BUT SERIOUSLY THANK U FOR REQUESTING THIS!

Briony Thorburn and Finley Blair might be my favourite couple in All of Us Villains. they weren't appealing at first. them in aouv was mild but in All of Our Demise truly showed their characteristics as an individual.
Previously, Briony and Finley were described as two confident, self-reliant and grounded people. although it might look like they could be the perfect match, These two were never meant for each other. They were too similar in a lot of ways. Their solid principles made it hard for them to hold together.
But along the way (in aoud), Briony and Finley get to rediscover themselves through the tournament. Their lives depended on it.
Having two competent people being challenged, their own principles were threatened and their beliefs constantly shook to the point where they started to question themselves as their own - not as a couple.
"I guess Innes was right about me. I'm still trying to play the hero." - Briony
This kiss had reminded her of the future worth fighting for. But for him, it was a cruel taste of everything they'd never been allowed to want.
"I'm so tired- of wanting impossible things." - Finley
Briony acts on emotions. Her confidence allowed her to be herself. But not for Finley. His family's code is a bible. Blair's way of life is a religion. And he came from a family that abides to these rules and keeping up with these perfection, despite wanting something for himself.
So when both of them found each other in the tournament, they were forced to face the inevitable.
Briony had to question her intention. Was it for her to become the hero or to save everyone? Did she truly stole the champion's ring for Innes or for her to be on the spotlight.
Finley had to force himself to think for himself, do things for his own survival. Even at the beginning of the tournament, he thought he had to win for his family's name. He even volunteered to be in the game. It's a code of honour. And when its up to him to survive on his own, he didn't know what to do.
Briony and Finley's journey is interesting. As much as I love Alistair and Gavin, both couples are waaaaay too different.
Briony and Finley's story arc is about character development while Alistair and Gavin story arc is about character realization.
Anyway, I have yet to finish this book. I am half-way there but I had to write this down. I honestly love their character development. It was subtle but hard to miss.

post aood headcanons go!
(especially finley ones because i want to sob. i want to feel pain. make me eat dry wall i cannot stop thinking about my poor boy post aood)
okokok here we go (i havent read the books in a bit so)
ye hath asked for fin and ye shall receive :) pain time lmao
some time after the funeral, finley goes to clear out briony's belongings from the estate cause the thorburns sure as hell aren't gonna. turns out innes has the same idea. the slightly awkward silence turns into bonding timeTM. they both start exchanging all types of stories about briony, mostly mundane ones that leave them on the verge of a breakdown by the end. they will heal. sometime. someday.
on briony's birthday, fin, innes, and isobel always try to meet up cause its what briony would have wanted, right? the three people she loved the most coming together? yeah i think so
finley never forgives alistair, atleast not fully. he tries to, he really does try to, (its what she would have wanted of course) but how could he? someone could have stopped her, he should have stopped her why didn't they stop her the important thing is that he tries though
in a way, he still does blame her, for leaving them with the task of picking up the broken pieces and for leaving him with all the promises and dreams they cant act on now. but he cant blame her, no he can't because she's dead and hes alive and it wasnt supposed to end like this and everything is so so wrong
the only thing that gives him a bit of comfort is that she got what she wanted in the end. immortalized as a hero, looked up to and adored by thousands, fighting and dying for a valiant cause. (it's not like he can ask her if thats what she wants. its not like he can ask her anything now)
well thats enough of my rambling lmao. this is all just finley and me being sad. :')
im gonna go stare at the wall now bye
#“gee i sure do love height difference couples”#“5 ft something and -6ft”#-my friend after finishing this book#I LOVE GETTING ASKS THOUGH THANK YOU#aouv#aood#amanda foody#all of our demise#all of us villains#ask#squiddosss

With the loss of Briony POV I really wish we got more of an epilogue on Finley and Innes. Even tho Finley isn't a POV character he's played such a big role in the story that I always felt like he was one of the protagonists.
So I really wanted to see how he's moved on, his relationship with his moms... Innes's relationship with her family...
And oh my god Innes. Is anyone taking the poor girl in? She's still a minor and I don't trust the Thorburns to take care of her after she turned against them. Can Finley and his moms take her in?
I'm happy that Gavin and Callista are taking in Furgus and Mary-Anne.

Innes had called the tournament a pattern. Patterns could be disrupted.
Reid had called it a machine. Machines could be broken.
Briony had only ever thought of it as a fairy tale. But even the grandest stories eventually found their ending.
And so, in the shadow of her family’s Landmark, unchosen, unwanted, Briony Thorburn vowed that this ending would somehow be caused by her.

What’s kinda tripping me up is that anywhere I’ve read Alpha Centauri is a TriStar system:
Alpha Centauri's third and faintest component star, Alpha Centauri C — or Proxima Centauri, as it is better known — was discovered in 1915 by Scottish astronomer Robert Thorburn Ayton Innes.
At 4.2 light-years from Earth, Proxima Centauri is the closest star to our planet other than the sun. Its name means "nearest to Centaurus" in Latin.
There’s more really cool facts about the Third Star in this source:
OK SO OBVI, ALPHA CENTAURI, A, C, AZIRAPHALE+CROWLEY, THE'RE TWO STARS THAT WERE THOUGHT TO BE 1 BY SCIENTISTS FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE OF HOW CLOSE TOGETHER THEY ARE AND AZIRAPHALE AND CROWLEY USED TO BE ONE CHARACTER BUT WERE THEN SPLIT IN TWO AND ARE LITERAL SOULMATES, BUT WAIT! THERES MORE!!!!
Alpha Centauri A is a class G star, which means that they shine YELLOW to WHITE YELLOW
and Alpha Centauri B is a class K star which means that it is one of the second dimmest classes of stars (the dimmest being brown dwarfs) and they shine YELLOW ORANGE to ORANGE
you can't tell me this was unintentional. you just can't, it's so PERFECT.

Okay installment three—hopefully I think I’m correct on the number—commence!
I love that the landmarks transform during the tournament, that’s a cool detail (and of course they contain items that are useful in murdering your competitors. Of course)
All these families suck don’t they. Innes and Briony only have each other, Alistair’s situation speaks for itself (seriously fuck then), Isobel didn’t matter to hers until they could use her, Gavin has essentially been written off as a failure to his since the day he was born.
Innes doesn’t even want it she’s terrified! ‘And so, in the shadow of her family’s Landmark, I chosen, unwanted, Briony Thorburn vowed that this ending would somehow be caused by her’ —love this yes Briony!!
Isobel going over in her head ‘the more each of those faces felt like someone else’s sister or brother, daughter or son’ is fucking me up. Isobel’s father is textbook manipulation and I just feel so bad for her right now. Isobel making the Reaper’s Embrace…ugh…I hope she’s okay…oh fuck she can’t use magic isobel Isobel ISOBEL!!!!
‘Good luck’ sounding like ‘goodbye’ oh I love that. ‘There was no point in arguing about the morality of the curse. It was what it was, and Gavin wasn’t going to feel guilty about wanting to survive it’ —oh Gavin yes. This is a curse, saying don’t do it! isn’t going to stop it from happening. And Gavin, I assure, Alistair has a very good reason for getting dead drunk right before the tournament (I am still absolutely not okay). Gavin self-mutilation…just because you can refill spells with your life force doesn’t mean you should. Just saying.
Fuck fuck fuck HENDRY. ‘The Lowe boy. No longer one of them’ oh it isn’t plural anymore this is so painful right now.
Even Gavin’s family was somewhere else while he was getting called up. Oh Finley does fencing! (sorry I know that’s somewhat off topic just can’t help it <3 ). Alistair’s list of accomplishments being the people he’s related to by blood but not including HENDRY perhaps the only one who matters fucks me up.
Oh this is so interesting. Thank you again for listening / recommending / existing <33 (I feel like one of those days I’m going to forget to put it on anon and my brains gonna roll one of those really low quality reveals that happens in spy movies. Like haha, it me! Rips the sunglasses off and squints because the sun’s too bright for me to see)
—💖💖
yeah! i thought that was really cool too! at first i somehow thought the tournament grounds were like... Off Limits or something. but they're just Places! like they exist all the time and transform when needed. also omg yeah the relics! those are cool as fuck!
YES all the seven families are Horrid! hate them. TWT
i knowwww ahhhh briony.
and ISOBEL. bitch TELL SOMEONE that you're fucked up?! please??? no? okay yeah walk into the crazy murder game with no magic powers SMART! TWT
ahhh gavin just eyeing Alistair (he does that a lot)
THE lowe boy, that inflicted harm upon me as well TWT
gavin's family just 'oh we already have his burial plot paid off what does it matter' :((((( i hate them. also yeah! that's cool. but poor alistair. but honestly, if they'd mentioned hendry's name... it would've hurt as well. TWT
!!!! <3<3<3<3 of course my dear! i'm glad you're enjoying it! can't wait for you to get to the Tournament! <333

heloooo! hows life? and also, what jobs do you think the aouv crew would have?
Hello!! I'm so so sorry it took me this long to get around to answering, I started it and then promptly forgot it in my drafts for a really long time :/ This is a fun question to think about!
Alistair - I've seen people on here talking about how Alistair would be a writer post-canon, and I agree wholeheartedly. He's a natural storyteller and I think he would love the chance to channel that creativity without terrifying himself in the process. Also, the relative anonymity and privacy would be good for him in the aftermath of the tournament.
Isobel - Let my girl follow her dreams of going to fashion school! I think she'd be incredible at it and the deviation from the Macaslan "jobs" and spellmaking she's expected to follow would be good for her. Many years in the future, her designs become famous, which is perhaps the biggest fuck-you to Cormac (ppl hear Macaslan and they don't think of the "family business" anymore)
Gavin - He goes through a series of temporary jobs until Fergus is an adult so he can keep a roof above their heads, then once Fergus leaves Ilvernath for university he kind of flounders a bit. Eventually Gavin ends up leaving the city as well and gets a good job in land surveying—something with a physical, hands-on element that still requires a lot of intelligence and precision.
Briony - Everyone expects her to pursue politics or some other profession with a lot of publicity, but Briony surprises everyone by becoming an attorney. She'll never let go of her desire to help and save people, but she doesn't want to be associated with the Thorburns (minus Innes) anymore, and she's become less obsessed with the idea of being a hero. She gains a reputation for being a fierce advocate for her clients against injustice.
Finley - ???? Part of the reason why it took me so long to get to this ask was because I have no fucking clue what job Finley would have. This may be partially due to the fact that I am 100% convinced this poor boy will have the worst case of burnout post-canon that leads to several breakdowns. I also think he'll feel very aimless, because so much of his life has been about living up to expectations. Please chime in if anyone has ideas about what Finley would end up doing with his life, because I'm getting very hung up on the inevitable mental health issues in his immediate future.
Elionor - She becomes an engineer and specializes in integrating magick with otherwise mechanical designs. She barely makes it through her internship because of her attitude, but she becomes known for her creative and innovative work.
Carbry - Carbry becomes a professor. What better way to make a life out of learning, and bestowing it upon others? He does a lot of hands on research focusing on the history of curses and other magickal occurrences.
Hendry - For a while, Hendry isn't sure what he wants to do with his life, especially since he's never had any of the normal experiences that he's heard about up until this point. He encourages Alistair to pursue writing and tries out a few different paths before opening up a small indie bakery. He gets a few opportunities to expand but never takes them because he wants to keep it a warm, homelike setting where you can taste the love that went into every pastry.
Reid - Reid never writes another book. He keeps the MacTavish shop running, but years down the line, he moves more into the research aspect of cursemaking and develops some theories that he handles more responsibly than his previous experiments. Some of them get studied academically and developed into modern cursemaking/breaking advancements.
Diya - Of course I had to include her :) Diya rightfully tells the spellmaking society to fuck off and starts to do her own thing. Ten years down the line and she's known throughout Kendalle for being one of the best magickal fixers.
Thanks for the ask :) Please don't let the excruciating amount of time it took me to respond dissuade you from sending me more lmao, I love to talk about this series and my schedule seems to be a bit less hectic for the time being!

Once again, I have the brainrot, so here I will combine my interests and give you
What Bird I Think Each Champion Would Be
Most of these have little to no justification, and I also wanted an excuse to put pictures of some of my favorite birds into the tags that I visit every hour. //Slight warning for one picture with a raptor (bird) holding prey
We're going to start with the champions who went first, so:
First, for Carbry Darrow, I have the rock pigeon. Dude brings maps to the championship, and that's about all I have to go on, so he gets to be a pigeon. (Alexis Lours//Wikimedia)
Then for Elionor Payne, we have the Ward's flycatcher. Moody, dark, one might even say emo? I also needed an excuse to not have this bird be Alistair. (//eBird)
Next, to some (mostly) surviving champions and ex-champions:
I'm going to go with the Green or Guinea Turaco for Innes Thorburn. I don't have much to go on here, but the Thorburns just seem a lot like the turacos I've met. I picked the green/Guinea turaco here because it has a red wingtip. Is that too much? (SandyCole//Wikimedia)
Next on the Thorburn/Turaco train is Briony as a Bannerman's Turaco. Relatively loudly colored, but also sort of fades into the background. I heavily associate Briony with the color green, just because she wore a green dress to the opening ceremony. I also really like Bannerman's Turacos, so I might be biased. (//eBird)
I have no justification for Finley Blair as the Campo Flicker. This is purely off of vibes. (Bernard Dupont//Wikimedia)
Then we have the next three, one couple and a third wheel:
For Isobel Macaslan, I decided on a Scarlet Tanager. I went back and forth on this one, simply because the female do not have that bright red color that reminds me of Isobel's hair, but I kept it. (Bmajoros//Wikimedia)
Reid Mactavish is a Black Palm Cockatoo. I tried so hard not to have any parrots in this list, but I can't think of another bird that better fits him. This is the strongest one on my list. Dark, gangly, and a bit of an asshole is a great description for both palm cockatoos and Reid. (JJ Harrison//Wikimedia)
I picked a Pearl Kite for Hendry. It's mildly meant to go with Alistair's, but I also just definitely see Hendry as a smaller raptor. (jquental//Wikimedia)
Now for AoUV Tumblr's favorites:
I have Gavin as an Osprey. This one is also based mostly on vibes, but I feel fairly confident in this one. (Mike Baird//Wikimedia)
And Alistair as a Dark-Eyed Junco. These birds always look angry, but they're also small and fluffy. There are some much darker-colored birds of this species out there, but I think this picture much better conveyed how angry they usually look. (Craig Martin//Wikimedia)
And that's pretty much it! I hope you enjoyed my excuse to put bird pictures in the AoUV and AoOD tags :)

There’s another person on here who’s recording a bunch of reread details on Aouv rn (you probably know who you are, hi lol) so I thought I’d also draft some of my own thoughts up about it 👌
So here’s some All of Us Villains details :)
I like how in chapter 12 of Aood when Finley and Briony visit the Blair’s, and Finley says that their family uses their code to justify slaughtering people they care about, Abigail immediately assumes Finley is talking about Briony, because she doesn’t even consider sending her OWN son off to a death tournament as slaughter. To her, it really is an honor to go and die for your family, even though it’s taken the lives of countless of her ancestors and likely would have Finley, if the tournament had played out as usual- most certainly Gracie or Ava if one of them had been the volunteer.
But instead she’s just like “dude kill your girlfriend it’s not that big of a deal”
But seriously she’s so delusional- the Lowe’s win every 2 out of 3 tournaments and it seems like the second most likely winners have historically been Thorburns. Like Finley had such a small chance of survival, but when he volunteered, her reaction was probably just to be proud of him.
These seven families are so mf delicious.
This one’s a bit obvious, but the Full Moon Child story that Alistair commandeers from ML.Jr in chapter 11 of Aood is literally just about himself lmao. You can go back and read it and it’s like “Don’t deny who you are because then your brothers gonna die ooooo 👻”
I love when these books do foreshadowing lol- there’s this moment in the first book where a succulent plant or something casts a spiky shadow in Reid’s face 😭
In Aood- the little blurb from the news at beginning of each chapter usually pertains to whichever pov you’re on, but the news covers Gavin so little, that his blurbs are usually about Alistair or the Lowe’s, because the average person probably just thinks of Gavin as an ad on to that crew. He’s just the Lowe’s sidekick lmao.
Hendry likes sweets but he’s bad at baking :,)
Isobel and Alistair have remarkably similar thoughts, feelings and circumstances in aood. One example is how they are both the most loved AND hated member of their respective alliances. Isobel is sent a trick spellstone that paints the world ‘cunt’ in sores on her arm (holy shit you guys she’s a fucking seventeen year old get a grip oh my god) while Gavin sights the curse stones they receive along side the fan mail as “usually targeting Alistair.” Whilst on the flip side, Isobel is the most famous champion and covered the most in the news, while Alistair has a dedicated fan club, who asks him to record sexy voice messages for them and draw him shirtless.
Man, fame sucks.
(holy shit you guys he’s a fucking sixteen year old get a grip oh my god)
Okay Gavin only says Alistair’s name once in the entire duo-logy. Like???? In his head he says Alistair’s name all the time (pretty much constantly) and in book two calls him “Al” all the time. But the ONLY time he says the word “Alistair” EVER is after he goads Alistair into burying the lamb’s sacrifice, calling out to him to apologize.
He literally doesn’t say the guys name the entire second (and longer) book lmao.
I wish there was a bigger fandom so that I could make a TikTok slideshow with that audio “how about I dance the black swan for you?” Accompanied by depictions of Briony cutting off Innes’s finger and get a billion likes.
Y’all WHAT HAPPENS TO THE LOWE SPOUSES? I know Alistair makes a joke that his mom ate his dad like a praying mantis, but fr- what happened to Moira’s husband and Rowan’s wife??? They were totally probably murdered right??? Rowan’s wife is actually never mentioned, but I’m assuming sombody gave birth to Marianne jr.
Also Alistair and Hendrys dad doesn’t have a canonical name- just thought that was interesting. Probably because it was a little…. “On theme” with the other Lowe names of you catch my drift 😬
I would’ve been in full support of Alistair and Hendry having long faces and genetic defects- but oh welll, I suppose they had to be hot.
That theory’s not even canon anyway- but how does your whole family line have dark curly hair, widows peaks and gray eyes for 400 years straight lmao. Besides they can’t exactly invite many outsiders inside with all that child sacrifice and oh my god that’s why they killed Alistair’s dad and Marianne’s mom isn’t it. Shit.
Marianne Sr. IS quite the fan of cover ups 😭
That’s probably it for now, but I’ve definitely got some more thoughts that I had a long time ago and have half forgotten now- so I’ll write em down if I remember :)

Reddit won't let me post it for some reason and I have followers out of nowhere now so here's the story of when I played as Blake Thorburn in D&D
I'm reading Pact right now, finished up to Conviction and gonna start Subordination in a little while. Awhile ago I had the idea to build him in Dungeons and Dragons. So I did as best I could using D&D Beyond, made him a Fiend Warlock Human. Then when my group decided to start a new game last night I decided to use him. I gave him the Pact of the Chain so Rose is his familar as an imp, since she's been around longer than Evan in the book so far. And since D&D imps can turn invisible she usually stays that way. Before I get into the actual in game thing, I'm gonna go ahead and note that I'm the only one in my group who's heard of Pact, or any Wildbow books for that matter, so neither my DM nor the other player know anything about Blake's meta origin. Ok so in the game, Blake had woken up a couple days prior in the woods with Rose explaining the situation he's in and why he suddenly has magic (backstory stuff, I can detail it in the comments if ya want but it's mostly the same as Pact Blake). After stumbling around he finds himself in Floatvil, a village by a lake with black water. There he met a goblin that was drinking the water at a dock, Rugg, the other player's character. They ended up walking together to the market since neither were from anywhere near around Floatvil, and they found a restaurant/inn. They weren't really together at this point, so while Rugg went off to get some fish to eat Blake asked a waitress about staying for the night. She called the owner, a possibly senile old halfling, and he wandered out the door. Blake followed and found the entrance surrounded by guards. They arrested him, and he went along with it because he didn't have money for the inn anyway and a prison bed is better than the street. They went in and arrested Rugg too, and a fight broke out but Blake was already gone by that point so I won't get into it. At the prison they discovered he was arrested because some acolytes at a local church noticed him and figured out he was a Thorburn, mistaking him for a member of the "Thorburn Cult". Rugg was arrested as a suspected accomplice and for setting that inn on fire during the fight. The guards threaten them and leave a half-ogre guard to guard them. A prisoner in another cell says something about them hanging our characters in the morning. Rugg asks to write a letter to his master, he's a samurai fighter, and while the half-ogre hands him some paper and something to write with Rose steals the keys from his belt without him, or Rugg, noticing. Blake improvises a plan, casting Disguise Self to make himself look like a guard, opening the cell, and leading Rugg away by the shoulder. The half-ogre stops them so Blake tries to say it's for questioning. I guess karma doesn't like any version of Blake though, because I rolled very poorly on Deception. I had to cast Eldritch Blast point blank in the poor guy's face, knocking him over. In the next room there's three doors and a guard dog, a battle corgi as the DM described it. Rugg happens to remember where our items are and so he runs past the dog and opens the door to the storage room. Blake follows after, and tries but fails to shove the dog away while he tries to join Rugg. Rose then attacks the dog with her stinger tail, destracting it a bit. Then the now pissed off half-ogre comes barreling into the room, and we have just enough time to flee in there and get our stuff before he barges through the unlocked door. Luckily for us, Rose managed to distract him with her stinger tail too, even if it does end with her taking more than half her damage from a single swing of its axe. At this point Rugg is claiming and probably believing himself to be a hostage. The dog crawls over the half-ogre and starts chewing on Blake's leg, so Rose attacks the half-ogre one final time, killing the poor guy, and then misses her attack on the dog. Blake Eldritch Blasts the wall, and Rugg body slams through it! Rose turns invisible again, they can't be invisible while attacking, and they all bolt, including the dog which breaks its chain to pursue after Blake specifically. The DM described the next few hours as the most hilarious chase in the village's history. A goblin thinking he's an escaped hostage running from a warlock disguised as a guard with a bleeding leg and no apparent wound, and a furious guard dog chasing said warlock. Later on they finally stop to rest by a road outside the city, still including the dog for some reason. By this point it becomes clear that the dog has inadvertently joined our party. After a night's rest a carrage pulls up and offers us a ride. Our party agrees and climbs in, and Blake makes an attempt to make up with the as of yet unnamed dog. He fails. And that's where the campaign ended.
