zionist tom taylor, who wrote this scene regarding settler colony israel and the people of palestine, is still in charge of titans (2023).
steve orlando, who wrote donna troy as an american imperialist white savior photographer-abuser and made an entire arc implying a neo-nazi offspring had legitimate concerns about the ‘genocide’ of her ‘people,’ has faced almost no backlash for this and continues to be embraced by the fandom.
and dc still uses the imagery of IDF soldier gal gadot for wonder woman, across all media.
that said! there are sites where you can read their shitty new comics and watch their shitty new movies for free. no money funneled to them at all. you don’t have to give your cash to people that aren’t looking out for you.

I bought a keffiyah a few weeks back, as I'm sure a lot of people did, and I wore it today because when I woke up it was absolutely pouring. It is so warm, so comfortable, probably better than any scarf or shawl I've ever owned before. Better quality for sure.
And now I can't stop thinking about how something made by kind Palestinian hands is keeping me warm and giving me incredible comfort and security while those same gentle hands are digging the corpses of family and friends out of rubble.
And I'm dizzy and sick to my stomach from anger and shame and love all at once.
I am so lucky, so privileged to be where I am, even if this country is my greatest shame. What an honor it is to have a voice I can use to speak up against injustice. My heart bleeds for Palestine and will continue to bleed until everyone is free from the river to the sea.

Chapter 7: The Ruling on Silence and Injustice4 The third hadithis from Ayesha (ra) who asked, “Will we be destroyed even if we have righteous people amongst us?” The Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Yes, if filth (base sins) becomes rampant.”Thus, the moral of all three of these ahadithis: if people do not speak up when evil is being committed, everyone will suffer.

A brief list of why the Fourth of July could and should always be boycotted, by Jeff Smith:
-The US has engaged in genocidal policies against Indigenous people/nations on this continent since the founding of the US. White Settler Colonialism has been the primary driving force, which has included the outright slaughter of Indigenous people, the forced removal from their lands, the repeated violation of treaties, forcibly removing Indigenous children from their communities and putting them in so-called “Boarding Schools,” and the denial of Indigenous people to celebrate their own spiritual traditions for most of the past 250 years. For an excellent resource, see Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz’s book, An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States.
-If people haven’t read it, they should read Frederick Doughlass’ famous 1852 speech, entitled, “What, to the Slave, is the Fourth of July?” Douglass calls out the realities of slavery and denounces the blind celebration of July 4th, by saying, “What, to the American slave, is your Fourth of July? I answer: a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelly to which he is the constant victim. To him, your celebration is a sham; your boasted liberty, an unholy license; your national greatness, swelling vanity; your sounds of rejoicing are empty and heartless; your denunciations of tyrants, brass fronted impudence; your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and thanksgivings, with all your religious parade, and solemnity, are, to him, mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy—a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages. There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices, more shocking and bloody, than are the people of these United States, at this very hour.”
-While Chattel Slavery was outlawed by the end of the Civil War, the US legal and economic systems made sure that Black people were still denied freedom and independence. The 13th Amendment essentially made slavery legal again, a theme which is explored in Ava DuVernay’s 2016 award winning documentary, 13th. In addition, the history of lynching, red-lining, legal segregation, the War on Drugs, mass incarceration, gentrification and the ongoing efforts to dismantled legal gains made by the Black Freedom Struggle/Civil Rights Movement, ultimately demonstrates that Black people have never been afforded the same freedom as white people in this country.
-The history of US immigration policy has excluded millions of people from coming to and be accepted into US society. From the Chinese Exclusion Act in the late 19th Century, the refusal of the FDR Administration to welcome thousands of Jews fleeing Nazi Germany, to the brutal treatment of people fleeing poverty, political oppression and climate catastrophe from Latin America since the 1960s, the US has consistently excluded millions of immigrants seeking asylum and safety. See our popular education tool, History of US Immigration Policy.
-The US has a bloody history towards working class people, which has always been directed by the Capitalist Class, with assistance from the state and the state’s main enforcement mechanism, the police. From the earliest efforts to win labor struggles in the early part of the 19th Century, the harsh repression of radical union organizing in the late 19th Century through the 1930s, and the ongoing Capitalist Class’s war against working people, evidenced by the efforts against Amazon and Starbucks workers, most people living in this country have never experienced economic freedom or independence. See Kim Kelly’s book, Fight Like Hell: The Untold History of American Labor.
-The US has consistently marginalized and repressed people who are part of the LGBTQ community, those who are gender non-conforming; religious minorities, especially Muslims, those in the disability community, anti-war dissidents, radical environmentalists and so many other communities that the systems of power in this country have never accepted and have often brutalized.

Because my last post about this didn't get much traction, I'll say it in a text post.
There is an upcoming global strike for Palestine. February 18th to the 25th. Talk about Palestine and other injustices, call your representatives and email them, boycott companies and limit spending during the week. Get your grocery shopping in now and only buy essentials during the week, please. Limit interaction on posts other than injustices around the world. If you can, skip work or school, though this is a privilege not everyone has.
Edit: It is 18th-25th not 18th-24th!! If you've already reblogged this, please reblog this version instead, edits don't show on past reblogs

Obesity was spiciest back in the day that showed you could afford to eat a lot, but NOW it’s shows you can’t even afford to eat healthy . Even fast food turned into a luxury.
Food itself became a luxury these days.
And we just keep on shopping.
I’d be boycotting every grocery store chain in America as well my job because they’re both at fault.
One for paying me SO POWERFUL I can’t afford anything’s and the other for pricing thing so high I can’t afford anything

Aloha kākou. Regarding Laticia James racist persecution against Donald J. Trump, his businesses, reputation, and family. Consider the thousands of people that work for Trump’s businesses. Everyone from the janitor, the line cooks, the servers, the cleaners, hotel staff, operations managers, valet, and room service personnel; they are all going to be out of a job. Who are these people? Consider…

Palestine فلسطين
My goal with making this post is to use my platform to raise awareness and encourage solidarity and action for the people of Palestine. Over the past few weeks, I have felt powerless to watch the destruction of Gaza before the world's eyes. However, I realized that I still have a large platform despite this blog's inactivity. With this, I would like to share information about Palestine and what you can do to help.
In the above post, I have sought out videos of Palestinian food, culture, art, architecture, and nature to share. Israeli propaganda is trying adamantly to dehumanize the population of Palestine in order to further justify their genocide. Regardless, no matter where you are in the world, humans recognize and understand what it is to be human. What it is to make art, to share food with your loved ones, to travel, and laugh, and sing. To experience heartbreak and hardship, and to experience joy. To dream about the future. To stand up for what we believe in, to fight in the face of injustice.
If you are an American citizen, use your voice to stand up for what's right. Contact your representatives. Demand a ceasefire in Gaza. Boycott companies and celebrities who voice their support of the Israeli settler state. Protest. Donate. Organize. Fight. We are strongest when in community with each other. Our US tax dollars directly fund the murder of Gazan civilians. Make it known that we will not stand idly by while news outlets and propagandists lie to our faces about the atrocities enacted by the IDF and the Knesset.
Here are some links for information on Palestine, as well as places to donate:
decolonizepalestine - A website aiming to educate and dispel myths about the Palestinian people, ran by two Ramallah residents.
US Campaign for Palestinian Rights - You can use this website to find groups organizing near you.
Palestine Action US - The US branch of a directive aiming to dismantle the Israeli military regime, directly funded by the US.
Hirbawi Kufiya - The last and only Kufiya factory in Palestine, as featured in the gif above. You can pre-order a kufiya which will be shipped once the blockade has been lifted.
Let Gaza Live: Ceasefire NOW - An easy way to send letters to your representatives to demand ceasefire in Gaza.
The Palestinians: From Peasants to Revolutionaries by Rosemary Sayigh - A good introduction to the ongoing Israeli occupation of Palestine.
Click to Help - One click a day can help raise donations for the UNRWA.
baitulmaal - Donate to fund relief.
anera - Donate to provide hygiene kits for displaced Gazans.
As of October 27th, 2023, Gazans are losing access to the internet. It is imperative for us to share their stories, to continue to remain active and aware of their martyrdom. The IDF will utilize this information blackout to their advantage. We must do all we can. Do not forget the plight of the Palestinian people. Do not allow their voices to go unheard.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. 🇵🇸

Now more than ever Eurovision has become an institution soaked in genocidal blood.
Allowing the Israeli delegation to continuously harass participants who won't stand up for injustice, pushing Bambie Thug to erase messages advocating for peace for Palestine in an ancient Irish script no one outside of Ireland knows, disqualifying Joost Klein for using the freedom of expression he is very well entitled to, roping him into a legal process outside of his country, when Europapa is a symbol of everything Europe--including the EBU--claims stands for; threatening to sue people wholl vote for Europapa, pushing Ireland, Greece and Switzerland out of the flag parade rehearsals when at the very least Ireland and Greece have also protested against Israel and consequently been threatened by the Israeli delegation.
Israel isn't a mere participant of Eurovision. It has bought the ESC through Moroccanoil, and decided to convert its stage into the scenario to play out a witch hunt against freedom of expression, all to whitewash the genocide they're perpetrating.
BOYCOTT EUROVISION AND BOYCOTT IT UNTIL MOROCCANOIL AND ISRAEL ARE KICIED OUT OF THE EBU. BE VOCAL ABOUT IT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE FROM A COUNTRY THAT PARTICIPATES IN THE ESC.
DON'T STOP THIS YEAR, BECAUSE I PROMISE THEY WILL WIN AND ESC 2025 WILL BE CELEBRATED IN THE GRAVEYARD OF A THOUSAND INNOCENT LIVES.

Four days ago, Bisan posted about organizing another Global strike after she miraculously survived a bombing around the hospital she is currently sheltering in. The strike is from January 21st to the 28th as a way to show support to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. To support the strike those who are organizing are asking that you:
Call out of work/school if that is possible
Avoid spending any kind of money anywhere and if that’s not possible just spend as little possible until this strike is over
Email and call your representative to tell them you are striking for Palestine and what you are doing to strike
Use your social medias to talk about Palestine as much as possible
Talk to friends, coworkers, and family to try to get them to participate as well
Go to marches and other forms of protest if you are able to
Try to stay home as much as possible if you cannot participate in marches or any other kind of physical protesting
Remember that doing something is better than doing nothing when it comes to the strike. If you can’t get out of work or school try doing other things on the list for as many days as you can.
Here are the posts from Bisans Instagram account about the global strike:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[image description: the first image says “Global strike week, 21-28 January! CEASEFIRE NOW!”
The second image says “After my survival with a miracle tonight while being stuck in the hospital until now, it's time for this to end! It is justice against injustice and good against evil! It is a war against humanity and the world, not just against Gaza! Here, We are now all under bombardment and are at risk of death at any moment! And you can make a difference!”
The third image says “We civilians across the world do not have the tools of war! We do not thirst for killing and death! We only have our throats in the demonstrations and our boycott of the economic movement in our countries, especially those that support the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza!”
The fourth image says “Strike from the economic movements, work and your normal life because nothing is normal in this life! Strike as much as you can and protest.. for a whole week or until this madness ends! You can disrupt the economies that support genocide and make your voices and our voices heard! Call for strikes during the next week for an immediate and permanent ceasefire!”
The fifth and final image says “We are human beings like you. We had beautiful cities, many lives and dreams. They were destroyed in front of you and are still being destroyed. You can make a difference and stop this genocide. Do not despair and continue until the ceasefire.” End ID.]
