The Science Behind Hydrogen Water and its Health Benefits
Understanding the benefits of hydrogen water requires a brief look at its scientific basis. Molecular hydrogen (H2) is a small, neutrally charged molecule that can easily penetrate and neutralize harmful free radicals in the body. This neutralization process helps reduce oxidative stress, which is linked to various chronic diseases and aging.
Research has shown that hydrogen water can have anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and anti-oxidative effects. Studies suggest that it may improve conditions such as arthritis, metabolic syndrome, and even cognitive impairments. By reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, hydrogen water contributes to overall cellular health and longevity.
For health enthusiasts, this means that adding hydrogen water to their wellness regimen can offer significant improvements in their physical and mental health. The simplicity of using a hydrogen water bath generator makes it an accessible and effective tool for anyone looking to enhance their well-being.
Exploring the Eco-Friendly Element of Hydrogen Water Baths
In addition to its health benefits, hydrogen water baths are also an eco-friendly option for those conscious about their environmental impact. Traditional bath products often contain chemicals that can be harmful to both our bodies and the environment. Hydrogen water, on the other hand, is a natural and safe alternative.
The process of creating hydrogen-rich water involves electrolysis, which does not produce any harmful byproducts. This makes hydrogen water baths a sustainable choice for eco-friendly consumers who want to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on their wellness practices.

How Does the Water Tribe Dye Their Clothing?
Tumblr media
There are a few "realistic" ways for the Water Tribe to have acquired the blue coloring for their clothing:
Trade with Kyoshi Island
Tumblr media
I headcanon that the Water Tribes originally imported indigo dye from Kyoshi Island, prior to the war (for the North) and the raids (for the South). Kyoshi Island is partially inspired by Japan, which is famous for its high-quality blue indigo.
Crowberry and Arctic Blueberry Dye
Tumblr media
Both of these berries are native to the arctic. On their own, both berries produce purple dyes. However, if you mix these dyes with iron/rust-infused water or vinegar, they can become beautiful shades of blue.
Woad Dye
Tumblr media
Woad is a plant that grows in subarctic climates like Southeastern Sibera. In the ATLAverse, they would probably grow them using greenhouses in the NWT. Traditionally, the blue dye was created by fermenting woad leaves in a mixture of water and stale urine.
Or, alternatively, you could just ascribe their abundance of blue dye to a fictional animal or plant. My headcanon is that they dye their clothing blue using a poisonous-when-eaten plant to ward off large animals. It also has the added benefit allowing them to blend in with the sky when they stand along the horizon; this would be advantageous when hunting.

Writing Notes: Herbal Remedies
Tumblr media
References (Capsules & Powders; Compresses & Lotions; Creams; Decoctions; Infused Oils; Infusions; Ointments; Poultices; Syrups; Tinctures; Tonic Wines; Other Preparations)
CAPSULES & POWDERS
Powdered herbs are most easily taken as capsules but can be sprinkled on food or taken with water.
Externally, they can be applied as a dusting powder to the skin or mixed with tinctures as a poultice.
COMPRESSES & LOTIONS
Lotions are water-based herbal preparations such as infusions, decoctions, or diluted tinctures that are used to bathe inflamed or irritated skin.
Compresses are cloths soaked in a lotion and held against the skin.
Both are simple ways to use herbs externally and can be very effective in relieving swelling, bruising, and pain, soothing inflammation and headaches, and cooling fevers.
CREAMS
Making a cream involves combining oil or fat and water in an emulsion. If the process is rushed, the oil and water may separate.
Unlike ointments, creams blend with the skin and have the advantage of being cooling and soothing while at the same time allowing the skin to breathe and sweat naturally.
They can, however, deteriorate quite quickly and are best stored in dark, airtight jars in a refrigerator.
DECOCTIONS
Roots, bark, twigs, and berries usually require a more forceful treatment than leaves or flowers to extract their medicinal constituents. A decoction involves simmering these tougher parts in boiling water.
Fresh or dried plant material may be used and should be cut or broken into small pieces before decocting. Like infusions, decoctions can be taken hot or cold.
INFUSED OILS
Infusing an herb in oil allows its active, fat-soluble ingredients to be extracted; hot infused oils are simmered, while cold infused oils are heated naturally by the sun.
Both types of oil can be used externally as massage oils or added to creams and ointments.
Infused oil should not be confused with essential oil, which is an active constituent naturally present in a plant and has specific medicinal properties and a distinct aroma.
Essential oil may be added to an infused oil to increase its medicinal efficacy
INFUSIONS
An infusion is the simplest way to prepare the more delicate aerial parts of plants, especially leaves and flowers, for use as a medicine or as a revitalizing or relaxing drink.
It is made in a similar way to tea, using either a single herb or a combination of herbs, and may be drunk hot or cold.
OINTMENTS
Ointments contain oils or fats heated with herbs and, unlike creams, contain no water. As a result, ointments form a separate layer on the surface of the skin.
They protect against injury or inflammation of damaged skin and carry active medicinal constituents, such as essential oils, to the affected area.
Useful in conditions such as hemorrhoids or where protection is needed from moisture, as in chapped lips and diaper rash.
POULTICES
A poultice is a mixture of fresh, dried, or powdered herbs that is applied to an affected area.
Used to ease nerve or muscle pains, sprains, or broken bones, and to draw pus from infected wounds, ulcers, or boils.
SYRUPS
Honey and unrefined sugar are effective preservatives.
Can be combined with infusions or decoctions to make syrups and cordials.
They have the additional benefit of having a soothing action, and therefore make a perfect vehicle for cough mixtures as well as relieving sore throats.
With their sweet taste, syrups can disguise the taste of unpalatable herbs and are therefore greatly appreciated by children.
TINCTURES
Tinctures are made by soaking an herb in alcohol. This encourages the active plant constituents to dissolve, giving tinctures a relatively stronger action than infusions or decoctions.
They are convenient to use and last up to 2 years.
Tinctures can be made using a jug and a jelly bag, instead of a wine press. Although mainly used in European, American, and Australian herbal medicine, tinctures play a part in most herbal traditions.
TONIC WINES
Tonic wines are an agreeable way to take strengthening and tonic herbs to increase vitality and improve digestion.
Neither strictly medicinal, nor simply appealing to the palate, they are easy to prepare at home.
Made by steeping tonic herbs in red or white wine for several weeks.
OTHER PREPARATIONS
Steam Inhalations
Steam inhalations are an effective way to clear congestion and relieve sinusitis, hay fever, and bronchial asthma.
The combination of steam and antiseptic ingredients clears the airways throughout the respiratory system.
Gargles & Mouthwashes
Gargles and mouthwashes usually contain astringent herbs, which tighten the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.
As gargles and mouthwashes are made from infusions, decoctions, or diluted tinctures, they can generally be swallowed for internal treatment. Ensure you do not exceed the daily internal dose of an herb.
Pessaries & Suppositories
Pessaries and suppositories are waxy pellets containing essential oil or fine powder.
They are used when oral medicine is likely to be broken down during digestion before reaching its intended site.
Pessaries are inserted into the vagina and suppositories into the anus, where they melt at body temperature.
The herb is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, providing fast relief. It is best to buy ready-made suppositories.
Essential Oils
Essential oils can be used in massage to soothe minor aches and pains.
Before use, they should be diluted with a carrier oil as they can irritate the skin.
Essential oils deteriorate rapidly after dilution, so it is best to mix small quantities as you need them.
Baths & Skin Washes
Herbal baths and skin washes can relieve many conditions, including aching limbs and stuffy sinuses.
They are made from diluted essential oils or infusions.
Eyebaths soothe sore, inflamed, or irritated eyes.
Cold Macerations
Heat destroys the active constituents of some herbs.
Thus, a cold maceration might be more appropriate than a decoction.
Juices
The juices extracted from many herbs.
Can be taken internally or applied externally.

Part 3: Goodbye, Shadowsinger
🕊️ TW: This chapter contains mentions of suicidal ideation and an attempted act of suicide. Please read with care and prioritize your well-being.
Pairing: Azriel x F!Reader
Genre: angst, romcom, humor, fish out of water reader, canon (ish)
Summary: Murdered after a late-night study session in the modern world, you awaken in Prythian—still yourself, but with Fae features and the infamous title of Beron’s cold-hearted and ruthless daughter.
Then, fate snaps the mating bond into place between you and the shadowsinger, Azriel—who rejects it so fiercely, even the magic recoils.
You died a healer. You woke up a villain. Now fate’s mated you to who wants nothing to do with either—you’ll prove them all wrong, one heartbeat at a time.
Between Two Fires - Masterlist
Tumblr media
You woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed, as if the essence of autumn itself had infused your borrowed bones.
Sunlight streamed through amber-stained glass, painting warm patterns across the silk sheets that felt too soft, too decadent against your skin.
After two days of recovery from the arrow wound, your strength had fully returned—one benefit of this immortal body with its remarkable healing abilities.
A sharp knock on your door preceded Eris's entrance.
He swept in with predatory grace, amber eyes assessing you with that calculating precision that never softened. His auburn hair caught the morning light, gleaming like freshly minted copper.
"Ah, you're finally up," he remarked, leaning against the bedpost with deceptive casualness. "Good. I was beginning to think you might sleep through the century."
"Would that have been so terrible?" you asked with a small smile. "One less pyromaniac in the family to worry about."
A flicker of surprise crossed his features—so swift you might have imagined it. "Your brush with death has certainly improved your sense of humor. Though I'm not entirely convinced that's a good thing."
You sat up straighter, noting how he tracked the movement, ever watchful for weakness. "Are you here to check if I'm still alive or just to criticize my newfound optimism?"
"Both," he admitted with a small smirk. "And to inform you that I'm leaving for the Dawn Court within the hour. Diplomatic matters that Father insists can't wait."
"How thrilling for you," you replied. "A whole court of morning people. Your worst nightmare."
Eris actually chuckled, the sound rusty as if rarely used. "Indeed. Try not to burn down the castle while I'm gone. And please—" his expression grew serious, shadows haunting his eyes, "—don't do anything... reckless. Yesterday's incident with the Night Court has everyone on edge."
Your heart skipped. Eris gone. The perfect opportunity.
"I'll be on my absolute best behavior," you promised, unable to keep a grin from spreading across your face.
Eris's eyes narrowed slightly. "That expression doesn't inspire confidence."
"What expression?" You arranged your features into a mask of innocence that felt foreign on this face. "This is just my face."
"No, your face typically looks like you're contemplating which servant to set on fire next. This—" he gestured vaguely at your smile, "—is new and concerning."
You laughed, the sound startling both of you with its genuine mirth. "Go to your dawn gathering, brother. I promise the castle will still be standing when you return."
Eris studied you for another long moment, his amber eyes seeming to peer directly into your soul. Then he nodded once, a dismissive gesture belied by the faint concern lingering in his gaze. "Rest. Recover. Try to remember that you're the Lady of Autumn, not whatever you were babbling about during your fever."
"Of course," you agreed easily.
Too easily, apparently, because Eris's frown deepened.
"Goodbye, sister," he said finally. "Try not to cause an incident for at least a week."
After he left, you burst from the bed with boundless energy, startling poor Briar as she entered with your breakfast tray.
"My lady!" she gasped as several pastries tumbled to the floor, scattering flaky crumbs across the priceless carpet. "You shouldn't be up yet!"
"Nonsense!" you declared, spinning in a circle that sent your nightgown billowing around your legs. "I feel magnificent! Like I could fly! Or swim! Or—or—something equally improbable!"
Briar stared at you as if you'd grown a second head. "Swim? You once threatened to disembowel a gardener for suggesting we install a reflection pool."
"Did I?" You laughed. "Well, people change! Today, I want to embrace new experiences."
"While you're... recovering from a nearly fatal arrow wound?" Briar asked skeptically, nervously tucking a strand of copper-brown hair behind her ear.
"Exactly!" You clapped your hands together. "Nothing like almost dying to make you appreciate life's possibilities. Now, help me dress. Something practical."
Briar reluctantly assisted you into a simple outfit of fitted leathers and a flowing tunic in deep burgundy. As she worked, you couldn't stop grinning, planning your escape in your mind.
Eris was gone. The perfect time to execute your plan.
"My lady, you're..." Briar hesitated, her fingers stilling on the laces of your boots.
"Yes?" you prompted, twirling to face her.
"Humming," she finished, looking utterly bewildered. "And bouncing. Like a... like a..."
"Like a perfectly normal person enjoying a perfectly beautiful day?" you suggested brightly.
"Like someone who's either lost their mind or been replaced by an imposter," Briar muttered under her breath.
You winked at her. "Maybe both!"
Briar's eyes widened in alarm, and you laughed again, heading for the door. "I'm joking, Briar! Mostly. See you later! Or not. Who knows?"
You practically skipped through the castle corridors, drawing astonished stares from servants and guards alike.
The Lady of Autumn, known for her casual cruelty and perpetual sneer, bouncing through the halls with a smile that threatened to split her face in two.
By the time you reached the gardens, a small crowd of servants had found excuses to work nearby, stealing fascinated glances as you paced back and forth, muttering to yourself.
"I need to get home," you whispered, tapping your fingers against your thigh. "But how?"
You contemplated your options, oblivious to your growing audience.
"I could jump from the castle tower," you mused aloud, "but what if it just breaks every bone in this body without sending me back? Too risky."
A gardener nearly fell from his ladder, clutching a branch to stay upright.
"Poison?" you considered, shaking your head. "No, too slow. And knowing my luck, some healer would find an antidote before it worked."
Two maids exchanged alarmed glances.
"Fire?" You laughed softly. "Ironic, but too painful. Besides, someone would definitely notice if I set myself ablaze in the middle of the Autumn Court."
A guard coughed so violently that he had to remove his helmet.
"A blade?" You frowned, considering. "Quick, but messy. And I'd probably just end up wounded again with more hovering healers."
The head gardener was quietly ushering younger staff away from your vicinity.
"What I need," you declared to the rosebush in front of you, "is something guaranteed fatal but relatively peaceful. Something no one can interrupt."
Your eyes lit up suddenly.
"Water! Drowning!" The idea settled in your bones with perfect certainty. "Quick, effective, minimal pain... relatively speaking. And these fire-loving Fae would never think to look for me near water."
You spun around suddenly, catching at least seven servants pretending not to watch you. They all immediately became intensely interested in their tasks—polishing perfectly clean statues, pruning already immaculate hedges, and in one case, vigorously sweeping a patch of grass.
"You!" You pointed at a young female servant who had the misfortune of making eye contact. "Come here."
She approached cautiously, as one might approach a beautiful but notoriously bad-tempered wildcat. Her freckled face was pale with apprehension, hands twisting nervously in her apron. "Y-yes, my lady?"
"Is there a lake nearby? Preferably beyond Autumn Court borders, secluded, not frequently visited?"
The servant blinked rapidly. "A... lake, my lady?"
"Yes, a lake. Big hole in the ground filled with water?"
"Of course, my lady," she stammered. "There's the Azure Pool, about five miles beyond the western border. It's quite isolated. The water is said to have unusual properties—healing for some, visions for others."
Perfect. A magical lake. That had to increase your chances of successful inter-world transportation.
"Excellent!" you exclaimed, causing the servant to jump. "How would one get there?"
"Well..." the servant hesitated, clearly trying to determine if this was some sort of test. "You could winnow, my lady, or have one of the guards escort you—"
"Winnow!" you repeated excitedly. "Yes! Brilliant! How exactly does one do that?"
The servant's jaw dropped. "You... don't know how to winnow, my lady?"
"Of course I know," you scoffed, then leaned closer. "But explain it anyway. For clarity."
"It's... it's like folding space around yourself," the servant said slowly, still looking utterly confused. "You visualize where you want to go, gather your power, and sort of... push through reality?"
"Push through reality," you repeated thoughtfully. "Simple enough. Just visualize and... push."
"My lady, perhaps a guard escort would be—"
"Nonsense!" you declared. "I'm a High Fae of the Autumn Court! Winnowing is in my blood. Probably. How hard can it be?"
The servant's expression suggested she thought it could be very hard indeed, especially for someone who didn't even know the basics.
"Thank you for your assistance," you said, already turning away. "You've been most helpful."
"My lady," the servant called hesitantly, "may I ask why you need to find this lake?"
You turned back with a brilliant smile. "Swimming lessons!"
"But... you hate water," she said, then immediately looked like she regretted speaking.
"Do I?" you asked cheerfully. "Well, time for a change! Growth! Personal development! All that nonsense."
Behind you, several servants exchanged alarmed glances. One quietly made the sign to ward off madness.
"What a wonderful day to be alive," you announced to no one in particular. "For now, anyway!"
With that enigmatic statement, you strode purposefully toward the castle gates, leaving a wake of bewildered servants behind you. One elderly gardener crossed himself and muttered something about the end times.
Tumblr media
Standing at the edge of the Autumn Court's formal boundaries, marked by a line of trees with leaves that burned perpetual gold, you gathered your courage.
Winnowing. How hard could it be, really?
You closed your eyes, picturing the Azure Pool as the servant had described it—clear blue-green water, isolated, beyond the western border. You gathered what you assumed was magic, feeling it rise within you like liquid fire coursing through your veins.
"Azure Pool," you whispered. "Take me to the Azure Pool. Please?"
Nothing happened.
You frowned, concentrating harder. "Azure Pool! Western border! Big magical lake! Come on!"
Still nothing.
"Fine," you muttered. "Be that way."
You tried a different approach, extending your awareness outward, feeling for the boundary between here and... somewhere else. There—a thin spot in reality, a place where the world seemed to fold in on itself. You pushed toward it with your mind, imagining yourself slipping through.
The world dissolved around you with a nauseating lurch.
Darkness engulfed you, a crushing pressure from all sides. For one terrifying moment, you were nowhere and everywhere, stretched impossibly thin across reality itself.
Then, with a jolt that knocked the air from your lungs, you rematerialized—tumbling forward onto soft grass. You lay there for a moment, gasping, the world spinning around you.
"That," you announced to the empty air, "was horrible. Zero out of ten. Would not recommend."
When your head finally stopped spinning, you pushed yourself up and looked around.
The Azure Pool lived up to its name.
Nestled in a clearing surrounded by ancient trees, the water glowed with an impossible blue-green luminescence that pulsed gently like a heartbeat. The surface was mirror-smooth, reflecting the cloud-dappled sky above. It seemed to call to you, welcoming you home.
Not this home. Your real home.
"Perfect," you whispered, approaching the edge.
No one in sight. No witnesses.
Just you and a magical lake that would hopefully send you back to your world.
You shrugged off your outer tunic, leaving only the fitted leathers underneath. Less to drag you down. The crisp autumn air raised goosebumps across your exposed skin, but you barely registered the chill. Your focus narrowed to the glowing water before you, its ethereal light casting strange patterns across your face.
Standing at the edge, you hesitated.
The mating bond, that golden thread connecting you to Azriel, pulled taut in your chest like a physical restraint. It seemed to know your intentions, throbbing with an almost sentient awareness that made your breath catch.
"Okay," you muttered, steeling yourself. "Just walk in, breathe in the water, and wake up in a hospital bed. Simple."
But was it simple? This world, for all its dangers and complications, had an undeniable beauty. Magic thrummed in the very air you breathed, in the trees that whispered secrets to the wind, in the blood that coursed through this borrowed body. A part of you recognized the wonder of it all, the chance to experience something humans only dreamed about.
The bond tugged sharply, as if in agreement, sending a lance of pain through your chest. Your hand flew up, pressing against your sternum.
"Stop it," you whispered to the invisible tether. "I don't belong here."
But did you? The mating bond wouldn't have formed unless there was... something.
Some connection, some compatibility between your soul and Azriel's. The thought was as terrifying as it was exhilarating.
You took one step toward the water—then froze as an image flashed in your mind. Hazel eyes flecked with gold. Shadows that reached for you despite their master's will.
Azriel.
The mating bond thrummed more intensely, responding to even the thought of him. You felt his rejection anew, the cold dismissal, the formality that cut deeper than open hostility could have. But beneath that, you'd glimpsed something else—a flicker of recognition when your tears fell, a moment of genuine pain in those beautiful, ancient eyes.
The bond demanded closure. Even if he hated you. Even if he'd rejected you in front of everyone. You couldn't just disappear without saying goodbye.
"Fine," you sighed, the sound heavy with resignation. "One quick, awkward goodbye to the shadowsinger who despises me, then back here for drowning. Great plan."
You closed your eyes again, but instead of visualizing a place, you focused on the golden thread of the mating bond. It pulled steadily northward, toward the Night Court, toward Azriel. You gathered your power again (more carefully this time, having learned from your first disastrous attempt) and let the bond guide you.
The world dissolved once more.
This time, the darkness felt less crushing, as if the bond was protecting you from the worst of the between-space.
You rematerialized with a softer landing, though still less than graceful. Your knees hit packed earth, and you pitched forward onto your hands. The ground beneath your palms was hard-packed and cold, the scent of pine and steel and male sweat filling your nostrils.
"Halt!" a deep voice commanded.
You looked up to find yourself surrounded by winged warriors, all with weapons drawn.
Illyrians, their massive battle-wings flared in threatening displays. The sound of those wings cutting through air raised the hair on your arms—a prehistoric, predatory sound that spoke to the most primitive parts of your brain. At their center stood Cassian, the commander you'd met during yesterday's disastrous dinner.
"Oh, hello again," you said brightly, pushing yourself up and dusting off your leathers. "Lovely day, isn't it? So sunny. Really brings out the threatening scowls on all your faces."
Cassian stared at you in disbelief. "You just winnowed to the edge of an Illyrian war-camp. Alone. Without warning or permission."
"Did I?" You glanced around. "Huh. I was aiming for 'wherever Azriel is.' The mating bond was supposed to guide me. Magical GPS and all that."
"Magical... what?" Cassian's brow furrowed.
"Never mind," you said, waving dismissively. "Is Azriel here? I need to speak with him."
Cassian's expression hardened. "He has no interest in speaking with you."
"I know," you sighed. "He hates me. But this is important."
"Important enough to risk starting another war?" Cassian asked coldly.
The bond tightened in your chest, a physical pain that radiated outward, stealing your breath. Your hand pressed against it instinctively, and something in your expression must have changed, because Cassian's eyes narrowed in recognition.
"I'm not here for war," you protested, your voice softening, all pretense falling away. "I just need to say goodbye."
"Goodbye?" Cassian's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Going somewhere?"
"Far, far away," you confirmed quietly. "Never to return. Which should make everyone happy, especially Azriel. So really, letting me see him is a win-win."
Cassian crossed his arms. "And I should trust you because...?"
"Please," you said softly, all bravado evaporating like morning mist. Your voice cracked on the word, betraying the desperation beneath your carefully constructed facade. "Five minutes. That's all I ask. Then I'll leave and never bother any of you again."
Your eyes, suddenly bright with unshed tears, met his. "I know I don't deserve it. I know what she—what I did to him was unforgivable. But I can't leave without saying goodbye. The bond won't let me."
You placed your hand over your heart, where the golden thread pulsed painfully with each heartbeat. "It hurts," you added, the simple admission costing you more than you cared to admit.
Something in your face—the naked vulnerability, perhaps, or the quiet desperation—made Cassian's expression soften fractionally. The scent of him shifted slightly, the aggressive edge giving way to cautious curiosity.
"You really are different," he said finally.
"So I've been told," you replied, trying for a smile that wobbled at the edges. "Is that a yes?"
Cassian sighed deeply, running a hand through his dark hair. "If you so much as flicker a flame in his direction, I'll drop you from a height that even High Fae can't survive. Clear?"
"Crystal," you agreed, relief flooding through you. "Thank you."
"Don't thank me yet," Cassian grumbled, gesturing for the other Illyrians to stand down. "Az is going to kill me for this."
He led you through the camp, winged warriors stopping their training to stare as you passed. The ground was hard-packed beneath your boots, worn smooth by centuries of Illyrian feet.
The air was crisp and cold, carrying the metallic scent of weapons and the earthy musk of male sweat. Fires burned in stone pits, the smoke carrying scents of cooking meat and pine. Everything about this place was wild, primal—the same way the warriors themselves were, with their predatory grace and ancient eyes.
The mating bond pulled more insistently with each step, the golden thread glowing brighter in your mind's eye, leading you unerringly toward Azriel. It thrummed between your ribs, a vibrating tension that grew tighter, more urgent as you approached.
"So," you said nervously as you walked, fingers fidgeting with the hem of your tunic, "how's life in the Night Court? Pleasant? Regular happiness meetings?"
Cassian shot you a sideways glance. "Are you always this chatty now, or is it just nerves?"
"Definitely nerves," you admitted quietly. "I'm not exactly good at goodbyes."
Your voice caught on the word, and the bond spasmed painfully in response. You suppressed a wince, but Cassian's sharp eyes missed nothing.
"Where exactly are you going that necessitates dramatic border-crossing farewells?" Cassian asked carefully.
"Home," you said simply. "Where I belong."
"And where is that?" he pressed.
"Would you believe... another world entirely?" Your voice was barely above a whisper.
Cassian studied your face for a long moment. "Actually, after yesterday's display, I might." He frowned slightly. "Does Az know about this... plan of yours?"
"No," you admitted. "And I'd prefer to keep it that way."
"Hmm," was all Cassian said as you entered a large clearing.
The training field opened up before you, a vast area of packed earth surrounded by training equipment and weapons racks. Illyrian warriors moved through drills in small groups, their wings creating gusts of wind with each powerful stroke. The sound was like distant thunder, a rhythmic percussion that vibrated in your chest.
And there, at the far end, stood Azriel.
Even from this distance, the sight of him made your heart stutter painfully in your chest. The shadowsinger moved with lethal grace as he demonstrated a complex blade maneuver to a group of young warriors. Shadows danced around him like living extensions of his body, coiling and stretching in hypnotic patterns. His power was a tangible thing, a cold pressure against your skin that raised goosebumps along your arms.
Beside him stood a slender female with golden-brown hair. She wore a simple dress the color of spring leaves, and smiled up at Azriel as he spoke. There was an easy comfort between them, a gentle familiarity that made your chest ache strangely. The scent of wildflowers surrounded her even at this distance, delicate and sweet amidst the harsher smells of the camp.
"That's Elain," Cassian murmured, noticing your gaze. "Feyre's sister."
"They look... close," you managed, hating the hint of jealousy that colored your voice. The mating bond twisted sharply in protest, as if insulted by the mere suggestion of a connection between Azriel and another female.
"They are," Cassian confirmed bluntly. "Az has been half in love with her for years."
The bond twisted again, the pain so intense it nearly doubled you over. You bit your lip hard to keep from crying out, the taste of copper flooding your mouth. Which was ridiculous—you had no claim on Azriel, no right to feel possessive. You didn't even belong in this world.
Before Cassian could say anything else, Azriel's head snapped up.
His shadows stilled completely, then surged forward like a tide, stretching toward you before he reined them back with visible effort. His eyes—those beautiful hazel eyes with flecks of gold—locked with yours across the training field, and the mating bond between you hummed to life, pulling taut and vibrant.
The pain vanished instantly, replaced by an awareness so intense it made you gasp. Every sense heightened, every nerve ending suddenly, painfully alive. His scent reached you even across the distance—night-chilled stone and cedar and male musk. The world narrowed to him alone, everything else fading into insignificance.
"He knows I'm here," you murmured, suddenly feeling small and uncertain.
Azriel said something to the warriors, then to Elain, who glanced curiously in your direction. He began walking toward you with measured steps, his face a mask of careful neutrality. His wings were folded tightly against his back, but shadows swirled around him in agitated patterns, betraying the emotion he refused to show.
Your palms grew damp with nervous sweat. Your heart raced in your chest, partly from the bond's insistent pull, partly from the fear of facing him after everything that had happened. Your mouth went dry, and you swallowed convulsively, trying to prepare yourself for his rejection.
When he reached you, he stopped at a careful distance, shadows swirling restlessly around him. He inclined his head slightly—a gesture of formal acknowledgment, nothing more. The scent of him was stronger now, wrapping around you like an invisible embrace that his body refused to give.
"My Lady," he said, his deep voice coolly professional. "This is unexpected."
Up close, you could see faint scars on his face, subtle markers of a life lived in violence. His wings were even more impressive than you remembered, powerful spans of membranous darkness that shifted slightly as he moved.
And on his chest—visible above the neckline of his training clothes—the edge of a scar that must have come from the burning your body's previous inhabitant had inflicted. The sight of it made your stomach clench with guilt and shame, though logically you knew you weren't responsible.
"I came to say goodbye," you said softly, your voice barely above a whisper. Your fingers twisted nervously in front of you, a gesture of vulnerability that felt utterly foreign to this body accustomed to displays of power.
For a fraction of a second, something flickered in his eyes—surprise, perhaps, or disbelief—before it was hidden again behind walls of ice. His shadows, however, betrayed him, reaching toward you before he pulled them back with visible effort. The temperature around you dropped several degrees, as if his shadows absorbed the very heat from the air.
"I see," he said neutrally. "Is there a reason the Lady of the Autumn Court felt it necessary to cross territories for such a purpose?"
The formal way he referred to you—not by name, but by title—stung worse than outright hostility might have. It was as if you were a stranger, a political entity rather than a person. The bond between you spasmed painfully, and you had to fight to keep your expression neutral.
"The mating bond," you explained, your voice trembling slightly as you forced yourself to meet his gaze. "I couldn't... I couldn't leave without seeing you one last time."
His shadows coiled tighter, writhing with what looked almost like agitation. Several of them formed sharp, jagged shapes before smoothing out again, as if reflecting some inner conflict he refused to acknowledge.
"The bond is irrelevant," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. "As I made clear yesterday. Is there anything else?"
The dismissal was so complete, so utterly final, that tears welled in your eyes unbidden. You blinked rapidly, but it was too late—they spilled over, tracking silently down your cheeks. The salt of them burned against your cold skin, their warmth a stark contrast to the ice in his eyes.
Something flashed in Azriel's eyes—not the cold indifference from before, but something almost like pain. A muscle in his jaw ticked, and his hands curled into fists at his sides. His shadows reached for you again, stretching toward your tears as if to wipe them away before he harshly yanked them back.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, hastily wiping at your face. "I didn't mean to cry. I just... I wanted to apologize. For everything—"
"I have duties to attend to," he said abruptly, gesturing toward the training field where Elain waited, watching your interaction with open curiosity. "Cassian will escort you back to the border."
As if summoned by his name, Cassian stepped forward. "Time to go." he said.
You nodded, throat too tight for words. With one last look at Azriel—standing remote and unreachable despite being only feet away—you turned to follow Cassian.
You had taken only a few steps when Azriel's voice stopped you.
"Wait."
You glanced back, hope fluttering traitorously in your chest. The bond between you pulled painfully tight, as if trying to physically draw you back to him.
His face remained expressionless, but his shadows reached toward you, stretching across the distance between you. "May the Cauldron guide your path," he said formally, the traditional Fae farewell for travelers.
Not a declaration of feeling. Not even an acknowledgment of the bond. Just empty words, proper protocol. And yet... his eyes held yours a moment longer than necessary, something unreadable flickering in their hazel depths.
"Thank you," you whispered, a fresh tear slipping down your cheek. "Goodbye, Azriel."
This time, he didn't watch you leave. He turned and walked back to the training field without another glance, rejoining Elain as if the encounter had never happened. Only his shadows lingered, stretching toward you until distance finally severed the connection.
As soon as you were out of Azriel's sight, something inside you shattered. A sob tore from your throat, raw and unfiltered. Then another. And another, until you were gasping for breath, tears streaming unchecked down your face.
You stumbled, nearly falling as your legs threatened to give out beneath the weight of your grief. The mating bond ached like an open wound in your chest, every heartbeat sending fresh pain radiating through your body. It was a physical agony, as if someone had reached into your ribcage and was slowly, methodically shredding your heart.
"Whoa, whoa," Cassian said, catching your elbow to steady you. His hand was warm, solid, an anchor in the storm of your emotions. "Breathe, just breathe."
But you couldn't stop. The sobs came harder, your shoulders shaking with their force. You covered your face with your hands, but it did nothing to stem the flow of tears that slipped between your fingers and dripped onto the forest floor. Each breath was a struggle, catching painfully in your throat.
"I'm s-sorry," you choked out between sobs. "I can't—I can't stop."
Cassian looked utterly bewildered, his wings shifting uncomfortably behind him. The sound of them rustling was like agitated whispers. His expression was almost comical—the mighty Illyrian warrior, commander of the Night Court armies, completely undone by one sobbing female.
"It's... um... it's okay?" he tried, awkwardly patting your back. "Just... let it out?"
Your breath hitched as you tried to control yourself. "I'm sorry—this is so embarrassing—"
"Don't apologize," Cassian said gruffly. "The bond rejection... it's brutal. I've seen it before."
You wiped your eyes with your sleeve, which did absolutely nothing as fresh tears immediately took their place. Your chest heaving with each ragged breath, your entire body trembling. "It's not just that," you said, your voice breaking. "It's everything. This world, this body, this life that isn't mine. And now him—the one person who could have maybe..." You couldn't finish the thought as another sob overtook you.
Cassian sighed deeply, then did something unexpected. He pulled a handkerchief from his pocket—surprisingly delicate for a battle-hardened warrior—and offered it to you.
"Here," he said. "Nesta makes me carry these. Says it's civilized."
The unexpected kindness only made you cry harder. You took the handkerchief with trembling fingers, trying and failing to dry your eyes. The delicate fabric was soft against your skin, smelling faintly of cedar and something distinctly female—Nesta's scent, you presumed.
"I'm getting tears all over your nice handkerchief," you said miserably.
To your surprise, Cassian chuckled. "I've had worse things on me. Much worse."
The mental image that conjured made you laugh through your tears—a wet, hiccuping sound that somehow made Cassian's shoulders relax. The scent of his relief was palpable, a subtle shift in his usual male musk.
"There we go," he said, relief evident in his voice. "Laughing and crying at the same time. Very efficient."
You hiccuped again, your breath coming in shuddering gasps as you tried to regain control. "I'm a m-mess."
"Yeah," Cassian agreed bluntly, but his eyes were kind. "But it's actually kind of... cute."
"Cute?" you repeated incredulously, knowing your face must be blotchy and swollen, your eyes red-rimmed. You could taste salt on your lips, feel the sticky tracks of tears drying on your cheeks.
"In a pathetic, helpless animal sort of way," he clarified with a grin. "Like a half-drowned kitten."
Despite everything, you found yourself laughing again—a watery, broken sound, but genuine. "You're terrible at comforting people."
"So I've been told," Cassian admitted cheerfully. "Repeatedly. By everyone I know."
You wiped your eyes again, breathing deeply to try to calm yourself. But the tears kept coming,
You wiped your eyes again, breathing deeply to try to calm yourself. But the tears kept coming, slower now but steady, as if your body was determined to purge every drop of grief it contained.
"Sorry," you murmured. "I can't seem to stop."
"It's the bond," Cassian explained, his voice softening. "When it's rejected... your body literally grieves."
"It hurts," you whispered, pressing a hand to your chest where the golden thread seemed to pulse with every beat of your breaking heart. The pain had a texture to it—jagged edges that tore at your insides with each breath, each heartbeat. "Like something's being torn out of me."
Cassian nodded, understanding in his eyes. "That's why most Fae don't reject the bond, even when they'd rather not accept it right away. The cost is... significant."
You hadn't realized Azriel would be feeling this too—this tearing, ripping sensation in his chest. The thought made fresh tears spill down your cheeks.
"Does he feel it too?" you asked, your voice small.
Cassian hesitated, then nodded. "Yes. Though he has centuries of practice hiding pain."
The two of you walked in silence for a while, your ragged breathing and occasional hiccuping sobs the only sounds. The forest around you deepened, tree limbs creating patterns of dappled shadow across the path. The scent of pine and earth surrounded you, grounding you in this moment, this world, even as you planned your escape from it.
You were vaguely aware of how absurd this must look—the Lady of Autumn Court, sobbing like a child while being escorted by the Night Court's general.
When you reached the border, marked by sentinel stones carved with runes, Cassian stopped. The stones hummed with ancient magic, the boundary between territories tangible as a change in pressure against your skin. The air itself felt different here—caught between autumn's golden warmth and night's cool embrace.
"This is as far as I go," he said. "Can you winnow back safely?"
"I'll manage," you assured him, though in truth you felt exhausted. The emotional toll of the encounter with Azriel had drained you as much as the winnowing itself. Your body felt hollow, wrung out, as if you'd run for miles.
You tried to hand back the handkerchief, now thoroughly soaked with tears.
"Keep it," Cassian said, grimacing slightly. "Consider it a souvenir of your visit to the Night Court."
"How thoughtful," you replied, managing a wobbly smile.
Cassian's expression grew serious. "Whatever you're planning... be careful."
"I will," you lied.
He studied your tear-stained face for a moment longer. "For what it's worth, I think he's making a mistake."
The unexpected words made your breath catch. "Why?"
"Because you're not who you were," Cassian said simply. "And bonds don't make mistakes. The Cauldron knows something he doesn't."
Fresh tears welled in your eyes. "Thank you, Cassian."
He shrugged, clearly uncomfortable with the emotion of the moment. "Don't mention it. Seriously, don't. I have a reputation to maintain."
With one final, awkward pat on your shoulder, Cassian turned and walked back toward the camp, his wings shifting restlessly against his back. The sound of them faded gradually, until only the whisper of the forest remained.
You stood at the border for a long moment, looking back at the Night Court territory—at the space where Azriel had stood, cold and remote and unreachable. The mating bond tugged painfully in your chest, urging you to return, to try again, to make him understand. Each pull was a physical sensation, like a hook embedded in your heart, drawing you back toward him.
But there was nothing more to say. He had made his feelings perfectly clear.
"Goodbye," you whispered one last time, though there was no one to hear it. The word tasted like ash on your tongue, final and irrevocable.
Then, gathering what remained of your strength, you focused on your destination—the Azure Pool.
The image was clearer now that you'd seen it, and the bond's pull had faded to a dull, persistent ache, making it easier to concentrate. You closed your eyes, visualizing the glowing water, the ancient trees, the isolation that would allow you to complete your journey home undisturbed.
You pushed through the fabric of reality, and the world dissolved around you once more. The darkness enveloped you, but this time it felt almost comforting, a temporary oblivion that numbed the pain in your chest. For one blissful moment, you were nowhere, nothing—just consciousness suspended between worlds.
Then, with a jolt that sent you to your knees, you rematerialized at the edge of the glowing pool.
You stumbled forward, the last of your strength draining away with the effort of winnowing. Fresh tears immediately welled, spilling down your already salt-stained cheeks. Your eyes burned, swollen and red-rimmed from crying. Your face felt hot and puffy, your breath still coming in those little hiccuping gasps that remained after a long bout of sobbing.
Looking down at your reflection in the still water, you barely recognized yourself. Your face was flushed and blotchy, eyes so puffy they appeared half their normal size, nose reddened, lips trembling with each unsteady breath.
The heartbreak was a physical pain now, radiating from your chest through your entire body.
Each breath hurt.
Each heartbeat sent fresh agony through the bond that stretched impossibly thin between you and Azriel. You pressed your hand to your sternum, as if you could somehow soothe the golden thread that seemed to be tearing itself apart inside you.
The water before you glowed with an ethereal blue-green light that pulsed like a heartbeat. It was uncannily alive, responding to your presence with subtle shifts in its luminescence. A gentle mist rose from its surface, carrying a scent that was both alien and strangely familiar—like the antiseptic of a hospital mixed with the mineral tang of magic.
"It's time," you whispered to yourself, your voice hoarse from crying. "Time to go home."
But even as you thought the words, doubt crept in.
You took a deep breath and stepped forward, the cool water lapping around your ankles. The sensation was strange—warmer than it should be, almost sentient in the way it curled around your skin. Another step, and it reached your knees, soaking through your leathers to caress your thighs with uncanny gentleness.
As you waded deeper, memories flashed through your mind—your childhood home, your first day of nursing school, the smell of antiseptic and sound of heart monitors.
Real memories, from your real life. The life you were returning to.
But other memories came too—Briar's surprised laughter, Eris's reluctant amusement, Cassian's awkward comfort. Connections formed in this strange world that somehow felt significant, as if they had always been a part of you, waiting to be discovered.
And Azriel.
His face when you cried—that brief moment when his mask had slipped, revealing something almost like pain. The way his shadows had reached for you, as if they recognized something in you that he refused to acknowledge. The flash of vulnerability in his eyes that contradicted every cold word from his lips.
The bond between you spasmed violently, as if sensing your intentions. The pain doubled you over, forcing a gasp from your lungs. It was fighting you, this golden thread, with everything it had.
"Please," you whispered, tears mingling with the glowing water. "Please just let me go."
The water reached your chest now, each breath slightly more difficult than the last. Just a few more steps, and you'd be fully submerged. One final breath, and then—home.
But was it that simple?
The pain in your chest suggested otherwise. The bond wasn't just stretching anymore—it was actively resisting, pulling back with a strength that surprised you. It didn't want to be severed. It was fighting for its survival, for your survival, with everything it had.
You closed your eyes, preparing for the plunge.
The memory of Azriel's face when you cried flashed in your mind—that brief moment when his mask had slipped, revealing something almost like pain. The way his shadows had reached for you when he thought you wouldn't notice. The flicker of recognition in his eyes when he admitted he knew you were different.
Strangely, that made it both harder and easier. Harder to leave what might have been. Easier to escape the pain of rejection.
"I'm sorry," you whispered to no one in particular. "But I have to go home."
With one final, deep breath, you plunged beneath the surface, letting the glowing waters close over your head.
The cold shocked your system, but you forced yourself to remain under, to release that precious breath and let the water in. The moment the water entered your mouth, time seemed to slow. You could feel each individual droplet as it passed your lips, slid down your throat, entered your lungs. It burned—not with the fire you expected, but with a cold so intense it might as well have been flame.
Pain blossomed in your chest, sharp and insistent, as your lungs fought against your mind's determination. Your body rebelled, instinct overriding intention as your limbs thrashed involuntarily. Your lungs spasmed, trying desperately to expel the foreign liquid. White spots danced across your vision as oxygen deprivation set in.
The mating bond flared to life with sudden, desperate intensity.
The golden thread burned like a live wire in your chest, pulsing with frantic energy. It was fighting harder now, clinging to your soul with everything it had.
Don't go, it seemed to whisper, though you knew it couldn't really speak. Stay. Belong. Live.
Darkness crept in from the edges of your vision, the glowing blue waters fading to gray, then black. Your body's struggles weakened, your limbs growing heavy, unresponsive. Your mind began to drift, consciousness slipping away like sand through fingers.
The last thing you felt was the mating bond, stretching painfully thin as consciousness slipped away. It was the final thread connecting you to that world, to that life, to him.
As it began to snap, one precious strand at a time, you felt an unexpected grief.
Not just for what was, but for what might have been.
Then nothing.

✉️- You’re lonely..of course you are. How could you not be when yourself stuck on this mountain?
🪶- Most would consider it an honour, a blessing even, but you knew better. It was a curse, and there was no way to convince you otherwise.
✉️-You had tried multiple times to try and escape. Try to flee only to end up right back where you didn’t want to be. Usually this would end in you being bound in chains of gold, infused with magic or worse things that left scars to tell what happened. The gods found it amusing. Watching you struggle and act all defiant.
🪶- It was their form of entertainment. “How cute..” Poseidon would muse since your latest attempt to escape. “I don’t know why the mortal keeps trying to…they’re not going to make it off this mountain. Alive that is..” Hera would sigh. She didn’t really care much, though she would be lying to herself if she said she didn’t pity you in the slightest.
✉️- You just couldn’t take it anymore. You were sick of being up here, you’ve been in the mountain long enough to memorise where all the rooms and paths were.. it was downright ridiculous.
🪶- You didn’t care if you escaped anymore..all you wanted to do was touch the grass again..to listen to the birds in the trees and to feel the running water of the streams and rivers.
✉️- you wished that someone, anyone would hear you wishes and at least grant you 30 minutes of freedom..if you could even call it that. However fortunately (or unfortunately) for you..there was one such person that heard your cry. A certain someone that wasn’t afraid to bend the rules or stir up trouble. Whether it be for the benefit of others, himself or even to deliver a simple message.
🪶- Hermes was that god. He had been listening in to your little cries of despair and felt your home sickness from a mile away. How could he not take this opportunity given to him to care for his favourite lover? He was the god of travelling after all, among other things so he just had to step in.
✉️- And so the feathered friend (or rather fiend) approached you as somewhat of an angel of light. Opening a door for you that you had assumed was shut forever.
🪶- “Wouldn’t you like to get off of this old rock, hm~?” He would ask, a slight hum in his voice as he floated in front of you. You were sat on the marble floor, probably sulking a bit to yourself until the messenger had showed up. Without a second thought to his words you nodded. Wasting no time in taking his hand, so excited that you missed the devious little grin that had started to appear on his lips.
✉️-And that..was the beginning of what you thought would be a great companionship.
. 🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.🪶.
🪶- Over the course of those few days to a week, you and Hermes spent time away from the mountain and down on earth in the forest near mount Olympus.
✉️- And you had to admit; they were great. For once you felt like you were actually enjoying yourself. While you would enjoy the greenery and flora, Hermes would make up excuses for why you couldn’t spend time with the other Olympians.
🪶- He of course being a trickster did what he did best. Of course the others weren’t happy, especially Apollo who had demanded to see you but Hermes wouldn’t let him.
✉️- He even threatened majority of the surrounding nymphs and satyrs to not say a word about what he was doing. Obviously they listened though one particular satyr needed a little reminder on why snitches get stitches…let’s just say that Hermes acquired a new horn after that incident…
🪶- When Hermes wasn’t threatening the lowkey forest creatures he was with you. Sweet talking you..trying to get you to relax more around him. And you did to some extent. Just enough to let him touch and hold your hand..
✉️- But that wasn’t enough for Hermes. He thought he deserved more. Of course he did.. so he pushed. Being a little more greedy than he should’ve.
🪶- “Y’know..We’ve been spending a lot of time with each other and not once have you offered me a kiss..” He spoke one day while you were sitting near a stream next to him. You hummed in response, not really sure how to respond. “I guess..I’m not all too ready for that yet..” you would reply.
✉️- This caused the messenger god to furrow his brows. Lifting his helmet up a bit to get a better look at you. “And why not..?” He asked..his voice taking on a slightly aggressive tone. This would cause you to tense and shiver. “I just…can’t..I’m not ready..I-”
🪶- He didn’t let you finish, he grasped your wrist tightly and scowled. “You can’t ? After everything I’ve done for you? You can’t give me a simple kiss?” he hissed. His tone obviously took you by surprise considering how gentle he had been all this time. But you somehow started to feel..guilty? Why? Why did you feel guilty?
✉️- Hermes continued. “I saw you upset and wallowing in despair, I brought you out from the mountain to be happy. I’ve lied to my own family, my king! Just for you and this is how you repay me?!” Hermes was obviously lying again. He had no issue in lying to his family. He’s done it more times than anyone..he just wants you to feel bad..and it seemed to be working with how your eyes shrunk in fear and darted away with a hint of guilt. ‘Perfect’ he’d think to himself.
🪶- “Maybe I should’ve just left you alone. I doubt the others would’ve done what I did for you…in fact, maybe I should’ve bring you back up to the mountain and chain you down so that they can have their way with you- does that sound better, Dear ?” Hermes crooned..his voice was taunting yet threatening and your eyes widened when he threatened to leave you in the hands of the other Olympians. You frantically shook your head no, you didn’t want that..not at all.
✉️-A kiss truly wasn’t as bad as what the others would do to you. A kiss won’t hurt..right? You sheepishly took his hands in yours, your eyes pleading as you spoke. “Wait- no…please don’t do that.. I’m grateful, I truly am, Hermes. I’m sorry if I made it seem like I wasn’t..I was just..nervous..” You admitted and Hermes cooed..his eyes softening as he moved his hand to your cheek..stoking it gently with his thumb.
🪶- “Oh Darling..it’s okay, you have nothing to be nervous about..it’s just a kiss, right? You can do that for me, can’t you my little mortal?” He didn’t wait for an answer before leaning in and capturing your lips with his own. The action causing your heart to leap and your breath to catch in your throat.,you couldn’t tell if it was out of fear or excitement.
✉️-However, you eventually gave in..kissing the messenger go back which caused him to smirk against your lips. He pulled you into his body. His arms wrapping around your waist as he kissed you more passionately. A soft moan leaving the god and the wings on the sides of his head fluttering with joy. Though you’re not sure if you share such a feeling. You felt something but you weren’t sure of it.
🪶- Soon enough Hermes pulled away, allowing you to catch your breath as he chuckled and stroked your hair. He rested your head in his chest and cooed while you stared at the grass with a conflicted expression on your face.
✉️- “There, there, my sweet mortal…You have nothing to fear. I’ll always be here for you..remember that.” Hermes would utter softly and you gulped subtly..wondering if you had just made a mistake in trusting the messenger god in the first place.

Mercury in 1st House: These individuals possess a highly alert mindset, often acutely aware of their thoughts and feelings, and they frequently reflect on their desires and goals. They exhibit a strong competitive nature, which can lead to jealousy and a desire to outdo others. This mindset tends to be self-centered, focusing primarily on personal gain, which can result in selfishness and a tendency to be standoffish. They are resolute in their beliefs, making it challenging to alter their perspectives. Unlike those who overthink, they prefer a more straightforward approach, although this can sometimes lead to imbalanced thinking. Air signs may struggle in this context due to their tendency to overanalyze, which hampers decisiveness. In contrast, Earth signs thrive here, as their grounded nature allows for clear, genuine decision-making. Water signs also excel, as this position helps them clarify their desires rather than becoming overwhelmed. Fire signs benefit from this mindset as well, as they are action-oriented and prefer to explore their interests rather than dwell on thoughts.
Mercury in 2nd House: These individuals possess a superficial mindset, often lacking depth in their thinking. They tend to focus on their appearances and financial status, prioritizing how they present themselves to the world. This obsession with fashion and personal image can border on obsessive, resembling traits of OCD regarding their looks. Financially driven, these people are often preoccupied with money, whether it's about saving, investing, or accumulating wealth, leading to a constant hunger for financial security. They can be judgmental, frequently comparing themselves to peers and family members. Air signs, in particular, seem to emphasize their social lives and image, enhancing their superficial nature. Earth signs may exhibit jealousy and a desire to be the most attractive and wealthy, showcasing a showy demeanor. Water signs, while possessing some depth, often struggle with introspection, torn between their desire for depth and a pull towards superficiality and security. Fire signs are characterized by their competitiveness, always striving to be the best and outshine others.
Mercury in 3rd House: These individuals tend to have a narrow perspective, primarily because they are overly preoccupied with others and social dynamics, which limits their capacity for self-reflection. Their thoughts often revolve around the lives of others, engaging in gossip and current events, particularly through social media. This constant external focus leaves little room for deeper contemplation. They seem restless, preferring interaction over solitude, which may indicate a struggle with being alone. Their thought processes are rapid, showcasing a certain creativity that could manifest in various artistic pursuits or simply in their unique way of thinking. While air signs can align their thoughts effectively, this may hinder their ability to think outside conventional boundaries, leading to stubbornness and resistance to change. Earth signs might find this trait beneficial, enhancing their social adaptability, while water signs may become overly reliant on others for validation, struggling to find comfort within themselves. Fire signs, on the other hand, may become excessively talkative and preachy.
Mercury in 4th House: These individuals tend to be quite fearful in their thinking, often remaining firmly within their comfort zones. They exhibit rigidity in their thought processes, struggling to think creatively or outside conventional boundaries. Typically, they prefer to adhere to traditional expectations and norms, often following in the footsteps of family elders. Their sentimental nature keeps them focused on close relationships with family and friends, and they often prioritize a structured life, emphasizing career and family in a traditional manner. This reliance on family can lead to a desire for validation and a need for comfort and security. Air signs may feel torn between a desire for exploration and their commitments to family and obligations, while earth signs can become overly routine and resistant to change. Water signs may develop a dependency on loved ones, leading to stagnation as they prioritize comfort over growth. Fire signs might struggle with familial issues, feeling constrained in their pursuit of personal desires.
Mercury in 5th House: These individuals are highly imaginative and seem to prioritize enjoyment and living life to the fullest. Their focus appears to be on experiences that bring them pleasure, particularly in the realms of romance and love, cherishing the presence of those who genuinely care for them. They embody a lighthearted, childlike spirit, emphasizing fun, travel, and social connections while actively seeking new opportunities. Their creativity shines through in their thinking, and they often reflect on their talents and aspirations, especially regarding family and children. There seems to be a reluctance to embrace responsibility, as they prefer to concentrate on their desires rather than obligations. Air signs, in particular, embody the life of the party, always eager to host gatherings and enjoy themselves. Earth signs exemplify the "work hard, play hard" mentality, dedicating themselves to their careers while also seeking out fun and relaxation. Water signs are deeply romantic, pursuing love passionately and striving for emotional fulfillment. Fire signs are vibrant and adventurous, bringing a sense of excitement and spontaneity to their interactions.
Mercury in 6th House: These individuals are deeply committed to achieving perfection, often overanalyzing their lives and constantly seeking ways to enhance their existence. They embody the essence of self-improvement, striving for better health, spiritual depth, and a more aesthetically pleasing lifestyle. Their focus on personal image is significant, even if they may not fully recognize it; they are preoccupied with how they are perceived by others. While they possess genuine intentions to present their best selves and contribute positively to the lives of others, they often grapple with anxiety and a tendency to be overly particular. Air signs may experience heightened nervousness and mental health challenges due to their intense focus on thoughts, while Earth signs can become rigid, sticking closely to their comfort zones and being overly concerned with appearances. Water signs face struggles with self-criticism, leading to ongoing internal battles, whereas Fire signs, despite their creativity, may find it difficult to express their enthusiasm and passion, feeling mentally constrained in showcasing their true essence.
Mercury in 7th House: These individuals are fascinating as they often consider the well-being of both themselves and those around them. They possess a balanced perspective, frequently seeking fairness and advocating for it in various situations. Their deep motivation for love drives them to seek a partner, reflecting a genuine desire to find their soulmate. Additionally, they are analytical thinkers, skilled at dissecting information to uncover the truth, and they challenge others' viewpoints, serving as catalysts for merging different perspectives. This ability allows them to blend their analytical nature with a holistic approach, minimizing bias. Air signs can thrive in this context, but they might need to find balance, as they can become overly focused on intellectual pursuits. Earth signs excel in research, making them knowledgeable and intelligent, while water signs may struggle with overanalyzing emotions, which can hinder their ability to feel deeply but can enhance their romantic side. Fire signs may face challenges, becoming indecisive and less action-oriented, yet this can also lead to a more balanced outlook, helping to curb their selfish tendencies, though it may impede their decision-making.
Mercury in 8th House: These individuals are complex and profound thinkers, often teetering on the edge of black-and-white thinking, where they may view situations from a singular perspective and frequently shift between opposing sides. They tend to grapple with negative thought patterns, which can overshadow their deep analytical abilities. While they possess a keen interest in unraveling life's mysteries, their intense nature can lead to paranoid thoughts and a strong curiosity about sexuality. This desire for transformation often drives them to reassess their beliefs and perspectives. For air signs, this depth enhances their intellectual pursuits, adding emotional richness. In contrast, earth signs may become pessimistic, hindering their mental lightness and fostering a darker outlook. Water signs exhibit profound emotional depth but are prone to depression, which can leave them feeling hopeless. Fire signs, while naturally enthusiastic, may find their positivity diminished, leading to struggles in maintaining an optimistic outlook despite their quest for truth.
Mercury in 9th House: These individuals possess a broad-minded perspective, preferring to focus on the bigger picture rather than getting lost in minute details. They seek to understand life's deeper themes, purpose, and meaning, embodying a philosophical and spiritual mindset. Often steering clear of superficial conversations, they delve into the underlying reasons and mechanisms of existence. Their natural optimism shines through, as they maintain hope even in challenging times, viewing life positively. Adventurous and curious, they embrace challenges and seek new experiences. Air signs exemplify this philosophical approach, potentially becoming spiritual leaders, while Earth signs gain from this perspective, balancing attention to detail with a broader understanding. Water signs are motivated by this outlook, blending lessons from the past with aspirations for the future. Fire signs, on the other hand, embody a proactive spirit, eager to tackle life's challenges and seize opportunities.
Mercury in 10th House: These individuals tend to be quite superficial, heavily preoccupied with their status and public perception. Their primary motivation seems to revolve around wealth and success, which drives their mentality towards achieving a perceived high status. This focus can lead to a cutthroat attitude, as they prioritize their goals over emotional well-being. They often appear image-conscious, which may hinder genuine self-reflection, and they seek physical comfort and stability in life. Their relationships can be transactional, centered on what others can offer them in terms of status. Air signs are particularly ambitious and desire to be leaders within their social circles, while Earth signs are driven by the pursuit of wealth and excellence. In contrast, Water signs may struggle with balancing their need for depth and authenticity against the pressure to maintain an image. Fire signs can come across as self-centered, overly focused on their own aspirations and how they are perceived by others.
Mercury in 11th House: These individuals are unique and unconventional thinkers who frequently generate creative and innovative ideas. They often possess a knack for predicting future trends and staying informed about current events, allowing them to find insightful solutions to global issues. Their attention is often directed towards the world around them, including politics, news, friendships, and social media, which can sometimes lead to neglecting their own needs. Their commitment to community and problem-solving drives them to seek change and make a positive impact on society. They are typically generous and altruistic, focusing on their relationships and how they can enhance the lives of others. However, their lack of emotions can make it challenging for them to maintain a balanced perspective. Air signs excel in this regard, as they tend to be future-oriented and socially adept, fostering strong networks. Earth signs bring a pronounced focus on goals that extend beyond themselves, showcasing greater complexity than typical earth signs. Water signs blend past and future perspectives, creating a unique outlook that combines intellectual and emotional thinking. Fire signs also thrive in this context, as their inherent future orientation is amplified, enhancing their ideas and aspirations.
Mercury in 12th House: These individuals tend to possess a profound introspective nature, often isolating themselves to reflect on their lives and actions. They frequently engage in deep contemplation about their personal feelings and relationships. Many of them are spiritual seekers, searching for a connection to something greater, whether through religion or spirituality. Their tendency to idealize life can lead to confusion, as they may prioritize fantasies and imagination over reality. Additionally, they often find themselves hindered by their past experiences, which can dominate their thoughts. Air signs may experience significant confusion, resulting in delusional thinking and difficulty maintaining rationality. Earth signs, while generally more stable, can feel like loners and struggle to comprehend their thought processes. Water signs are prone to addictions and often seek escape from their own minds. Fire signs grapple with a sense of instability, feeling lost and unable to make definitive decisions.

i've been reading about the case of asia bibi and it got me thinking how pakistani christians' oppression is also rooted in casteism in addition to religious discrimination.
christians make up roughly 1.6% of pakistan's population. 90% of christians are also dalit. despite having a small population, pakistani christians make up 80% of sanitation workers. this is rooted in the belief that lower castes such as dalits should perform "unclean" jobs.
these sanitation workers are paid meagre wages with no benefits. on top of that they also face abuse from people who look down on them as "unclean". which is again, rooted in casteist beliefs that dalits are "polluted". like the case of shafique masih, who was cast out by even his own relatives for his job as a sanitation worker. he's only one of the many sanitation workers who face discrimination on the basis of both religion and caste in pakistan.
the case of asia bibi, one of the most famous blasphemy cases in pakistan, started after she stopped to take a drink of water with a cup she found lying near the well. this angered a neighbour of hers who told her that it was "forbidden" for christians and muslims to drink from the same cup and that by touching the cup, she had made it "unclean".
this echoes the notion of untouchability, that lower castes and upper castes mustn't use the same utensils lest those utensils become "unclean" or "polluted". i'm going to quote the below article which summarizes perfectly the casteism aspect of the asia bibi case
In fact, even the case of Asia Bibi – the Christian woman who was accused of blasphemy, sentenced to death and then acquitted by the Supreme Court on October 31, resulting in protests across Pakistan – has at its essence the continuation of caste hierarchy. In Punjab, Christianity is frequently referred to as a caste as well as a religion, and many Muslims refuse to share utensils with Christians. It was Asia Bibi’s use of a utensil that led to an altercation with her Muslim neighbours, which eventually resulted in the alleged blasphemy. While the case led to a global discussion about Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, the caste hierarchy and discrimination based on it received no attention.
there is a misconception that casteism is purely a hindu concept and other religions are free of it. however casteism is deep rooted in both indian and pakistani societies, regardless of religion. whether it be hindu, muslim, christian, or even atheist, the caste system is alive and manifests in violent ways, infused with these religions. for example, upper caste pakistani muslims argue that lower caste hindu and christian minorities eat "haram" food to justify their oppression of them
so denying the existence of casteism in modern times or painting it as a hindu only aspect does a disservice to lower caste these lower caste minorities in pakistan oppressed by upper caste muslims, both on the basis of religion and caste.

SHOTA- IRRITABLE about 1k, fluff, a tiny bit nsfw (no detailed sexual acts), est. relationship, "slice of life", feelings, connection. Grumpy Shota eventually steps up. I visualized the same reader in each of the Shota fics here, though not as series- more like vignettes. Includes some of my usual style points in terms of form and themes <- I saw a post about this and whether it's true of my writing or not, I loved the perspective- have a peek.
You see and hear it, what's just beyond your thin glass window; it's simple and so invaluable: Golden, late afternoon light replacing the day's cloudy drizzle and crisp, brown leaves camouflaging the school's sidewalks, crunching under the feet of yakking students and yawning staff members. Routine, uneventful Sundays like these meant that UA was safe; they refresh your senses, cozy up close to your heart and feel like home. But what you found comforting was to Shota (groaning and mumbling and long since annoyed by the world) unwelcome noise.
"What are they doing out there? I can hear it from here!" he yells to no one in particular from his watchful, stationary spot in the bathroom. Slightly amused this time and also hoping to shut him the hell up, you stride into his personal space and lean against the wide counter, drawling with faux drama, "They're walkiiing. And for fuckssake stop whining about everything Shota Aizawa, you've sucked the life outta this place all weekend."
A shouting Vlad barged into his office Friday to yap, and Hizashi submitted curricula without edits, leaving hours of work for him yesterday. Toshinori canceled brunch plans for the third week running, and Nezu ticked him off during a discussion about "the benefits of educational autonomy". Over and over again you'd heard it, including a deluge of other long-winded grievances. Embedded in them were frequent little jabs and snaps, with you as the target.
His elbows rest on either side of the sink, and motionless fingers serve as a thermostat under the faucet's rushing water; 60 seconds and the temperature still felt tepid.
"Lukewarm is all we'll get for now; bet the heater's completely done by morning. Should've been replaced years ago, but Nezu's too cheap to-"
"Babe you could turn off the water, maybe check it less often? I think that might conserve whatever life it has left." You and your casual, correct logic; turning off the faucet, he clicks his tongue and shoots an icy glare your way.
"We'll just shower together tonight an-". Shit, you knew better than to say it. A salty, hunched over Shota wasn't up for solutions, but you'd given him two. What he's thinking, he shows- a clenching jaw, stiffening arm muscles, a sharp hassled exhale. For just a second, it stings you. What you'd suggested seemed as distasteful to him as those crackling leaves or the damn water temperature. Pausing for a beat and with an inaudible sigh, you disappear into the bedroom to strip off your clothes. Whether he joins or not is up to him. He finally sounds his agreement a moment later with an exasperated huffed, "Fine."
His reserved nature and dry wit, his intellect and integrity, his tremendous love for his students. God, the man was infinitely attractive to you. But you knew to leave him alone when his usual temperament devolved into an extra pissy mood. With humor and bluffed indifference, you'd do your damndest to avoid adding kindling to his fiery complaints. So you resolve- suddenly tired and melancholy- to get clean and continue enjoying those loudly crunching leaves. A relaxing evening and his actual attention... are ebbing little hopes.
You'd showered together before. Not a regular thing, but it felt so good, even to him- the nearness of it, washing away sweat or cum or the day's work. The catch was intermittent shivering, rushing to switch places for a turn under warm, streaming water. The warmth was absent this round; Shota's discontent infused your togetherness with cold.
Finishing with speed, you step onto the floor's fluffy, cotton mat and grab a massive towel, relieved.
Shit. It hits him now, as he notices your slumped shoulders, quiet deep breath and hasty exit, what not only now, but for two-days his attitude must've cast over you. Shota loves you more than even he can comprehend, and it hurts his heart to have been so caught up in his own miserable mess. He'd done it less and less over time, and you'd always affirm him right away with sweet thanks he felt he didn't deserve. But he hates that he does it at all.
Stepping out after you, Shota furiously runs his hands over your toweled arms and quickly gifts you a long, solid embrace, a stubbly cheek against your temple.
"Better?"
"Mmm hmm." You always felt it, the calm he blanketed you with, so definite and immediate. "Come down here, you jerk." He's used to this cute-the cutest to him- habit of yours, so with a short grunt, he squeezes you more tightly and presses his forehead to yours to listen, really listen to you. Soft, damp strands of dark long hair stick to your cheeks.
"I'm still headed to Osaka tomorrow my Shota sensei; you'll be busy annoying students and missing me these next two days. It'll be fixed before you realize it, and you'll be back to steaming, relaxing showers on your own. Now just be glad we're both fucking clean, ok?" Not a shred of irritation in your words, you always speak so softly and confidently, dispelling his negative energy and surging his love for you. You were beautiful as hell.
"I know, I'm really sorry... about this afternoon, all weekend really... guess I wasted time we could've had before you leave, didn't I? And I love showering with you, a lot more than I dislike being cold... I hope you know, not that I've shown you today, that yeah I am gonna miss you... You'll be gone two days too long as far as I'm concerned," he mumbles into your ear. Tender-hearted, you bury your face into his wet shoulder. Three years together, and with a few gentle words, your pulse races as wildly as it did in the beginning.
The next hectic 48 hours leave you tired and a little numb, but you instantly feel soothed crossing your apartment's threshold. Those several steps remind you that no matter the bickering or rift, anywhere with Shota is where you belong.
A very faint scent wanders through the living room, reminiscent of chalky plaster. Before you can think on it, Shota emerges, with a mischievous vibe about him and a rarely seen sparkle in his worn eyes. His drawn-out, soul-melting kiss sends you skyward.
"Hi there," he mutters softly, grabbing your hand while your head swirls and leading you to the bathroom.
"You were right as always- the water heater's fixed. You should hop in."
"Good, I'm glad. And I think I will. I don't even wanna talk about the trip yet, I just feel yucky after the drive- traffic was awfu-" The change registers slowly. The old showerhead has been replaced with a shiny, silver one, detachable and with multiple settings. And on the opposite wall, is an identical one. "Wha-"
"So neither one of us gets cold." To stare at him is all you can do, blown away.
"You ok with company?" He knows the answer and carefully pulls your shirt over your head.
Twenty heavenly minutes- testing sprays, kisses along all of your curves, and your laughter as he recounts his manual labor snags.
"I need to be better for you," he whispers, draping you with a towel and cascading lazy kisses on your neck.
He's much more than better- his subtle thoughtfulness is more constant than he knows, and it drives you wild.
"Shota."
"Hmm?"
"You take really, really good care of me. You always have."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
Dropping the towel, you take his hand, beyond ready to fuck the man who's crazy in love with you and who you- grouch and all- love with your whole heart.

Expectation MCL NG EP 14 | Headcanons when they see that Candy is sick)
Sorry for the possible spelling mistakes, english is not my native language
I hope that, in general, we'll have longers moments and that exchanges with others will remain a minority (like the first 30% of the episode, and the rest alone with our LI). Following this episode 13 full of drama, I think it's necessary to get back together as a pair, firstly to take stock of the company's current situation, and secondly to take stock of the ongoing love affair, any unspoken words, etc. It doesn't have to be a big declaration or a big conversation. Not necessarily a big statement or revelation, but some progress (bearing in mind that Jason's max LOM is 155, and for the others I think it's between 250 and 290? So we're closing in on almost half the Lov'Meter)
❧ JASON : no humiliation, please.
Either that, we'd run into him on our way out of work and he'd be worried to see us with a sick face and would walk us home, stopping by to pick us up some meds. He'd be all sweetness and light in the face of a Candy on the verge of fainting, treating us like a ✨ princess ✨ as he tucked us into bed, his hand on our forehead or neck to measure our temperature and ofc bring us back the best hot chocolate ever!
In our delirious fevered state, I can so see us coming out with cute little confessions like “you're so handsome but it's a shame you're so arrogant” and even stroking his soft hair 🥹😫
Jason who is shocked and doesn't know what to say and would drop a few subtle statements (maybe an apology for his behavior in ep 13?)
-- Of course, since we'll be too knocked out, we'll only half catch on and won't realize the importance of what he just said 😩
N.B : + Special mention where I can see him preparing squid for us so that we can regain our strength and take our revenge since episode 11 when he left in a hurry lol
+ Mention for the scene where he discovers our goose Taki who will either want to pinch his calves or on the contrary adore him more than us (a “dirty traitor” not failing to be uttered by Candy ahah)
❧ ROY : Roy is the one who doesn't even hesitate to help us get rid of our bag, our jacket; prepare a hot water bottle while we change into our pajamas, then sit next to us on our bed/sofa to change our mind by telling us stories or watching series with him! He'll probably order us an Uber eat 😋
❧ AMANDA : Given what happened during the previous episode, I see her taking us home so we can get some rest. It would be a chance to spend some time in her apartment and comfort her too after all she's been through ! She made Little cookies for the occasion 🍪
❧ DEVON : Very attentive to our needs, he'd know right away what we needed since he had to take care, I think, of his siblings, as well as the other children his mother had care of! He'd make us that special soup his mother used to make that cured all ills in a single night ! 🍜
❧ THOMAS : I can see him being a bit detached but very invested at the same time ahah. Like taking our temperature, making us a good infusion “at the right temperature to retain all the benefits” 🤓) I can even see him working at our desk in our place on the file we're managing to make our work easier !

obv i love funny and cute posts and art about neuvi and rizzley doing halloween costumes and so on, but its really a pity that ppl seem to always put them into cliche roles of like neuvi being posh, serious stick in the ass who like wants rizzley to dress more formally or doesnt want to dress up in silly costumes
like first of all, he doesnt even like his own clothes. he has voice line complaining about how they are uncomfortable, but he has to wear them as a judge. its just a work uniform for him, he's a water lizard, he doesnt have human societal prejudices of how it's "appropriate" to dress.
second, like. have you guys played lantern rite. have you not seen the Loch Ness Ladle he made and how excited he was about it and about going to pottery class. how he made rizzley a stone codex as a joke and infodumped about it. also, listen to his voice line about archons wearing fake visions. he's WHEEZING like a broken kettle. he absolutely has sense of humor and he doesnt see himself above silly or fun activities. he would LOVE to participate in a dress up
like, neuvi and rizzley on halloween would be like. neuvi in a giant costume of loch ness monster (he was obviously plesiosaur shaped as a dragon and hes very nostalgic about it), its smth like this, but EXTREMELY well made, with like gilded ridges and precious gems and bioluminescent fins, bc he made it himself in a local arts and crafts club with the help of like 20 melusines and they all infused it with magic

and rizzley is standing next to him, dressed mostly as usual, but wearing lab coat he stole from his heterobait scientists instead of his jacket and t-shirt that says "There are many benefits to being a marine biologist". tshirt is too tight for him and he still wears his loose tie and his choker-bandage stripes. he's listening to neuvi yap about how wonderful it is to participate in human festivities and how exactly is complex wire construction inside of costume's neck is made, to which rizzley occasionally says "wow. Impressive~~" in a flirty tone and also makes sure that no one makes fun of neuvi

Since I'm vegan, incorporating elements of a canine ancestral diet into my lifestyle will be more about emulating the nutritional balance rather than the exact foods wolves consume. Wolves eat a mix of proteins, fats, and plant matter, with an emphasis on whole, nutrient-dense sources. Their diet is built for survival, strength, and endurance—qualities I can mirror through plant-based foods while maintaining my values.
### **Key Elements of a Wolf's Diet & Vegan Alternatives**
#### **1. High-Protein Intake**
Wolves thrive on a protein-rich diet, which fuels their muscles and sustains their energy for long periods. You can incorporate:
- **Legumes & Pulses** – Lentils, chickpeas, black beans, and split peas
- **Soy-based Proteins** – Tofu, tempeh, and edamame
- **Seitan (Vital Wheat Gluten)** – A high-protein, meat-like option
- **Hemp & Chia Seeds** – Packed with complete proteins
- **Nutritional Yeast** – Adds protein and a cheesy flavor to dishes
#### **2. Balanced Fats for Energy & Brain Function**
Wolves get essential fatty acids from prey, but you can substitute with plant-based sources:
- **Omega-3s** – Flaxseeds, walnuts, algae-based supplements, hemp seeds
- **Healthy Fats** – Avocados, olives, coconut, and nuts
- **Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs)** – Found in coconut oil, which can boost energy like animal fats do for wolves
#### **3. Micronutrients & Minerals from Wild Plants**
Wolves eat berries, grasses, and herbs instinctively to maintain their health. You can add these:
- **Berries** – Blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries for antioxidants
- **Leafy Greens** – Kale, spinach, dandelion greens (high in calcium and iron)
- **Herbs & Wild Edibles** – Nettles, burdock root, and spirulina for detoxifying and nutrient density
#### **4. Gut Health & Digestion**
Wolves consume organ meats and bones for vitamins and minerals. A vegan version includes:
- **Fermented Foods** – Sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, and kombucha for gut health
- **Seaweed** – Rich in iodine and minerals, similar to nutrients found in animal organs
- **Mushrooms** – Reishi, lion’s mane, and chaga mimic the adaptogenic benefits of organ meats
#### **5. Cyclical Eating & Fasting**
Wolves don’t eat constantly; they gorge, fast, and graze on small plant foods. You might try:
- **Intermittent Fasting** – Eating within a set window (e.g., 8-hour feeding period)
- **Feast & Fast Cycle** – Some days with high intake, some days lighter with just fruits and greens
- **Instinctual Eating** – Listening to your body’s needs rather than forcing strict meal times
#### **6. Hydration & Natural Electrolytes**
Wolves get hydration from prey and fresh water sources. For you:
- **Coconut Water** – A natural electrolyte boost
- **Herbal Teas** – Dandelion, mint, and chamomile for hydration and benefits
- **Infused Waters** – Lemon, cucumber, or berries to mimic mineral-rich natural waters
### **Meal Ideas Inspired by a Canine Ancestral Diet**
- **"Hunt & Gather" Bowl** – Lentils, roasted mushrooms, wild rice, dandelion greens, and tahini
- **High-Protein Wild Plate** – Grilled tempeh, hemp seed pesto, roasted root veggies
- **Feral Smoothie** – Blueberries, coconut milk, hemp protein, chia, and spirulina
- **Forager’s Broth** – Miso soup with seaweed, tofu, and mushrooms
- **Raw Energy Bites** – Dates, walnuts, cacao, flax, and a touch of sea salt
I'm a nerd and a vegan wolf so have my collected information and brainstorming
