Sometimes you make an inflatable fish out of some plastic table cloths from the dollar store

wanted to add colour to my sculpture. I sprayed painted some fusion and used the fusion press to seal together

I had first started with spray painting the plastic but the result was not what I expected.

It didn't dry as I had hope and it seemes to wearing the light plastic and with discussion with the technical we decided not to fuse the plastic with spray painting plastic together as it wouldn't fuse properly.

An Enormous ‘E.coli’ Floats Through the National Museum of Scotland at 5 Million Times Its Actual Size

Bristol-based multidisciplinary artist Luke Jerram often explores the nature of scale and perception in his pieces (previously), and the latest installation of his inflatable sculpture “E.coli,” which has been displayed in locations around the U.K., spans 90 feet, representing the bacterium at 5 million times its actual size. (If humans were to scale up just as enormously, they would be about 5.5 miles tall!)

An  imposing marble sculpture bears a striking resemblance to a lifelike inflatable chair.

Freddy believes he is composed of plastic, oblivious to the fact that he is, in reality, crafted from pristine Carrara marble. Even when confronted with this truth, he simply dismisses it. In an era where opinions often overshadow facts, Freddy serves as a call to maintain a critical perspective on the world around us. 

"We must not unquestioningly accept everything that is presented to us."
