In 2019, a strange little pink house appeared right on the top of the historical plant of the Canada Malting Silos, built in 1905 and abandoned in 1986. The unknown authors brought the material to an height of about 35 meters to build this absolutely unique thing and added later other pieces to their creation, like a Christmas three, a gift and other decorations.
I think I have never seen anything like this in hundreds of explorations in abandoned places!

“For Now,” Phases of the Moon Knight (Vol. 1/2024), #4.

#Marvel#Marvel comics#Phases of the Moon Knight#Moon Knight comics#latest release#Moon Knight#Nakia Hunam#coming out swinging criticizing both the bourgeoisie AND populism is a bold choice#but gosh there’s just a lot of biting commentary here in general of both colonialism and the colonized#I refuse to dig and see what kind of wild takes people are making about this story but I can bet it’s made people uncomfortable#probably raised questions of who gets to make such criticism#because yeah we can all agree that colonial kidnapping of great artifacts is a travesty#cough cough the British Museum being the most infamous offender cough cough cough#but I have seen (not saying I endorse it) push back saying that by painting colonial powers as solely swooping in#and stealing artifacts negates the active role some members of the colonized population had in the industry#which some people feel is patronizing and creates an over-simplified view of history#other people still will push back against THAT by saying the economic power imbalance between colonized#and colonizer inevitably leads to the latter taking advantage of the former including in the archeological industry#I’ve seen some parallels with the environmental question#a colonizing power will come in and raze the land/extract wealth in minerals and ancient treasures#then a century later turn around criticize formerly colonized countries for clearing land for farming or trafficking artifacts#with some representatives of the latter saying «you ruined us now it’s our turn to try and do what we can to develop»#there’s also something there about formerly colonized countries with rich histories losing irreplaceable goods due to political instability#with a history of colonization not being able to be discounted as a major contributor to that instability#anyway it’s a tough topic and as per always please take my ramblings with the biggest grain of salt you’ve ever seen#what I do know is I would love for Nakia and Layla and Marlene (maybe even the Moon Knight What If..? version?) to have tea together

Batman crack fic idea Janet Drake used to date Lady Shiva when she was in college, they break up when Janet marries Jack for social and money reasons.
Tim is born. When he's old enough the Drakes fuck off to do archeology and Janet hires a bunch of increasingly bizarre people who "owed her a favour ". There's a disgraced Russian ballerino, a mad chemist, the worlds best loclpicker, John Constantine, a black and white noire detective, some Welsh guy she found in the woods. Tim learns from all of them. Janet doesn't believe in public schools, so all of this is "homeschooling".
Flash forward, Tim is 11 Jack Drake dies on a dig in Australia, because a bird dropped a coconut on his head. Suddenly Tim has a new stepmum. Lady Shiva's nice, weirdly intense, but nothing he hasn't seen before. Janet takes over complete control of Drake industries, expands her business empire and destroyes her enemies with extreme prejudice. She teaches Tim all she knows about business. Shiva teaches him how to fight. Tim is happy he now has two mums who love and pay attention to him.
Stuff happens (I haven't figured out what yet) they find Cass and Tim gets a sister. Now, because this is DC and the children canonically yern for the streets (im thinking they're like 13 & 16 at this point), Cass and Tim become a new vigilante duo (I'm thinking Crows, one of tims nannies was an animal handler and he befriended all the crows in Gotham, they follow him around) and have perfected non verbal communication and creep out everybody with horror movie twin behaviour.
While sneaking around Gotham, they meet Steph, and she takes one look at them and decides that she likes Cass and that Tim needs to be bullied relentlessly. She is, of course, correct.
Meanwhile, Bruce is not having a good time, Jason is dead, and WE has competition for the first time in his life. He'd like to spiral into a pit of despair and find out who the new vigilantes are (and why are there so many birds?), but if he does that, Lucius will kill him or, worse, quit his job. So, instead, he and Dick are sent to therapy.
Jason comes back fully expecting to have to do a whole production out of this situation, takes one look at Bruce being forced to sit in a meeting with Janet and decides that he's fine actually, and why the fuck is Lady Shiva just hanging out at this gala with two kids hanging onto her?
By the time Damian is dropped off, everyone except for Bruce knows who the Crows are, Cass and Tim come over to hang out all the time. Damian is confused as to why The One Wo Sees All is in his father's house and how her brother manages to somehow be scarier than her. Damian does not like to be confused, so he still tries to kill Tim. This devolves into a roadrunner situation where Tim pulls out increasingly niche skills to get out of Damians traps. Later, this becomes enrichment for both of them.
When Tim is 15 and Cass 18, their mums decide they're old enough to be fine living with Bruce while they go off on their own adventures. Dick brings the Crows over to meet the Titans. He's told them about his cute baby siblings (Bruce is not the only one with an adoption problem). These children are not cute. They invoke fight or flight responses. Kon has one conversation with Tim, gets info dumped on, and falls in love immediately. He's finally found someone with an equal, if not greater, amount of weird, eclectic knowledge. Young Justice adventures are somehow even more bizarre than yj98. They are having the times of their lives.
Since Tim was never robin, Duke never started the We are Robin gang. But the Crows do have a cult, and he might be in it. His parents still get jokerised, and he starts living in Wayne manor proceeds to fit right in with the insanity (Bruce has given up on trying to control any of it).
The Justice League dreads whenever they have to meet with any of the younger Gotham vigilantes. Somehow, Jason ended up as the most almost well-adjusted one. He doesn't know how that happened either.

╚══ ≪ °❈° ≫ ══╝°❈°╚══ ≪ °❈° ≫ ══╝
If you feel lost, aimless, overwhelmed or unsure in regards to yourself this has found it's way to you at the right time.
Personal Readings
Masterpost
Thank you for the tip! 🌹
Picture 1
A lot of you are burnt by your own ambitions and a need to prove something. You quietly wonder if you're even passionate about anything anymore or you are but do not what to do, where to start so you end up spacing out and procrastinating. Likely you were made to believe that if what gets you excited and happy doesn't automatically put you on the map and bring you money in traditional ways then it's practically useless.
You have in a way put yourself down consistently due to these external projections.
Of what I'm picking up on some of you are passionate about the following :
- Dancing
- Fitness
- Makeup
- Music
- The occult
- crafting something intricate such as designing jewellery or curating them
- A select few might be into taxidermy, herbology and even archeology
- A combination of the above, some of you have your own allure and might want to get into modelling, styling, dancing and design. You want to express yourself freely including your sensual as well as spiritual and esoteric side.
You want to be known but you want to stand out, with your accumulated power you want to guide others too, make them feel less alone and more understood and yet you want to be an enigma and mystery. You do have a strong potential to be a muse to many.
Your hidden talents:
- Something that is coming through significantly that it is something from your past/childhood/early teens that you had to sacrifice/were made to sacrifice even if you cared for it deeply and wanted to nurture it. It makes you bitter to this day because you were naturally good at it.
- Some of you should definitely consider working for animals especially birds. You have a gift to heal and develop empathy with them.
- Some of you can end up being excellent bakers and decorators.
A lot you can find success in the entertainment industry, media, running your own business and being your own boss, you have excellent leadership skills and determination it's just that you haven't gotten the chance to explore that side of yourself yet.
The advice here is to only look back at the past to pick up what you had left and walk ahead. Become your friend and ask your own subconscious to show the way, trust me you will be shown when you least expect it.
Picture 2
You simply love to learn and acquire knowledge. You could have specific subject(s) you're drawn to or you don't even like limiting yourself to that. You'd rather be an eternal student. I wouldn't be surprised if you were drawn to picture 1 or 3 as well. You have a thrist that sometimes almost feels insatiable.
You are rather intellectual and often give very sound advice. Mainly cuz you are highly self aware and very intuitive.
Regardless of anything else, you seek inspiration and adventure above all. You do tend to get bored with just one thing easily.
Of what I'm picking up on, some of you are passionate about the following:
- Learning, experimenting, teaching and innovating. Again this could be any topic or multiple. Could be something as literature and academics or physics or could even be cooking or carving wood. You could even be here educating people about Gothic architecture or the human anatomy. Or all of this. You're not meant to confine yourself.
- A lot of you seek travel and adventure. Even be passionate about extreme sports.
- Languages and culture.
- Some of you want to try and do everything, experience different things and don't want to niche yourself down. Your passion can simply be experiencing your life to the fullest so you have wisdom to give and stories to narrate and memories to look back on and trust me, that is more than enough.
Which quickly brings me to your hidden talents because you're supressing quite a few:
- Some of you can be excellent astrologers or even astronomers.
- A lot of you can read into symbolisms real. You can be a gifted psychic too if you aren't aware already.
- You can be really good at sports like archery, fencing, MMA etc
- Creative direction, photography is also coming through.
- You're very good with your words, whether it be in writing or speaking.
You are rather mutable and a very poised individual too, you can easily influence the people you come in touch with. Some of you can be good speakers, representatives or the face of a brand. Whatever you do, you end up being very good at it whether you like it or not.
The advice is to simply continue what you're doing, you're not as lost as you think you are. Keep making connections and continue being yourself instead of trying to make yourself small and fit in or follow trends or the algorithm.
Picture 3
You feel like a misfit and an outsider so much so that being passionate about anything worries you because you may end up looking a fool, not being good enough or not being disciplined enough.
You carry a lot of anguish in you mainly because you had to focus on things that were expected of you or because you had to survive so you might feel like you're good at many things but not great or could be great at something but you don't necessarily love it.
You're an interesting group here because you haven't even allowed yourself to feel excited about things.
What are you truly passionate about? I see nature, authenticism, a slower, softer life. The word passion itself feels too intense and deliberate for you.
You simply want to experience a life that doesn't feel like you running on a treadmill till your knees give out.
I do see there's an innate desire in you to help others, be it people or animals or even a dying plant. You want to find your peace and bring some of that peace in others lives too. Your energy feels like a walking into a warm cabin in the woods during winter with freshly made dinner waiting.
Hidden talents you have ample, a lot of them are based on learning and perfecting with practice :
- Cooking, experimenting with different herbs. I do see some of you have the potential to start a small business that involves food.
- Gardening and farming
- Painting
- Tattooing (this is coming through because it can be very therapeutic for a lot of you)
- Perfume making is also coming through as well as skincare.
- pottery and sculpting, crocheting etc
- reiki, medicine, physical therapy etc
- divination
Think of a life that's a bit more laid back a career that makes you feel less on the edge.
You've already been running on the validation of people who think you're dispensable or your worth is tied to something outside of you that you can't even find meaning in.
The world needs more souls like you.
The only advice is to be more compassionate with yourself, you're not running a race even if people have constantly been reminding you of it, there's no finish line. The only truth that matters is the story you tell yourself, over and over again. It will come to pass. Continue being. Continue creating instead of wondering about the how. You've figured out many things in your life, let life sort this out for you.

Royal Tomb, Greek-Language Writings Among Latest Discoveries in Egypt
Archaeologists have recently shed more light on what life was like thousands of years ago at Egypt’s Sohag province thanks to spectacular new findings spanning from 1700BC to the Byzantine era.
The Egyptian-American Archeological Mission of the University of Pennsylvania discovered a royal tomb in Abydos, while the Egyptian Archeological Commission of the Supreme Archaeological Council unearthed a complete Roman-era pottery workshop and 7th-century cemetery in the village of Benawit.
Among the findings is a collection of ostraca –potsherds used as a writing surface- with Greek-language writings on them.
Ancient Egyptian tomb discovery exposes Abydos kings Dynasty
The new royal tomb at Abydos was excavated at a depth of approximately 7 meters below ground level. It consists of a limestone burial chamber covered by mudbrick vaults that originally reached a height of approximately 5 meters.
Tumblr media
Remains of inscriptions are found on either side of the entrance leading to the burial chamber of the goddesses Isis and Nephthys, along with yellow inscription bands that once bore the king’s name in hieroglyphs, according to Dr. Joseph Wagner, head of the mission.
Althought the name of the owner of the tomb has not been identified yet, Professor Mohamed Abdel Badie, head of the Egyptian Antiquities Sector at the Council, believes that it belonged to the kings previous to King Senebkay, whose tomb was discovered in Abydos by the mission in 2014.
He added that the newly discovered tomb is much larger than other previously known tombs attributed to the Abydos Dynasty, a series of kings who ruled Upper Egypt between 1700 and 1600 BC.
The discovery is expected to provide fresh scientific evidence on the development of royal tombs in the Mount Anubis necropolis and the kings of the Abydos Dynasty, offering a deeper understanding of the complex political history of Egypt’s Second Intermediate Period, according to Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Archaeology.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Further research and study will be looking to determine the exact date of the tomb’s construction.
Site of the oldest decorated royal tomb in ancient Egypt
The Mount Anubis necropolis is considered one of the most important ones in the Abydos area.
It is a royal necropolis, and the mountain itself takes the shape of a pyramid.
King Senusret III (1874-1855 BC) chose the site to build his massive tomb beneath the natural pyramidal summit, a first in Egyptian civilization.
It was also chosen by a number of kings of the Thirteenth Dynasty, and later by the kings of the Abydos Dynasty, who built their tombs deep in the desert near the mountain.
The most famous of these is the tomb of King Senebkay, which is considered the oldest decorated royal tomb in ancient Egypt.
Roman-era pottery workshop discovered in Egypt
Also at Egypt’s Sohag province, where Abydos is located, a large pottery workshop of the Roman era and a 7th-century cemetery were discovered near the village of Banawit.
The site is believed to have been part of an industrial unit that supplied the region with pottery and glass. It includes a large group of kilns and extensive warehouses for storing vessels.
Among the discoveries is a group of 32 ostraca -pottery fragments with writings on them- featuring Demotic and Greek-language scripts.
Tumblr media
The data was detailing commercial transactions at the time and the method of paying taxes.
Professor Mohamed Abdel Badie said that preliminary studies and evidence indicate that this site was used during the Byzantine era and was reused as a cemetery in the seventh century AD, possibly extending into the fourteenth century AD.
A number of burials were found at the site, including mudbrick tombs containing skeletons and mummies, likely representing family graves for men and women, the majority of whom were children.
Perhaps the most haunting burial discovery of the mission was the mummy of a child wearing a colorful fabric cap.

Had a funny thought. You know, in Asian dramas, how sometimes important people just hide out in the family company as a low level, probably minium wage worker for one reason or another? Imagine Violet doing that, but the reason she's doing low-level work is that she can freely spouse hunt for her kids.
Violet technically never has to work a day in her life again if she so wished to. But Violet also has a mission to find the perfect spouse for each of her kids, and in her mind, she's gonna get better insight of potential partners as the janitor to Bridgerton Industries than as Lady Bridgerton. She'll get to learn intresting things that anyone would normally hide around her.
And meet some interesting people Violet did indeed! Like Simon, the young man who runs Hastings Inc., Bridgerton Industries' biggest partner company. He always greeted Violet with a warm smile. Or that nice vet, Dr. Kate Sharma! She was brought in alongside a trainer when the company started using therapy dogs. Her sweet boy Newton always happily ran up to Violet.
There's also the two lovley girls that regularly go to tea with Violet. Sophie, who works down in the company's childcare facility. Oh she's so good with the children. There's also Penelope, who works for Danbury Publishing but sometimes gets loaned out to Bridgerton Industries to help edit things like newsletters and important emails.
Oh, there's also that smart boy Phillip! It's adorable how he'll go on about plants, he even brings flowers he grew himself! He's the brains in his family's company while his brother runs the office politics. If Violet remembers correctly their company and Bridgerton Industries are teaming up to make Bridgerton Industries more environmentally healthy.
Then there are those two, some would say, devilish twins Michael and Michaela. Violet often sees them when their cousin comes to talk business with Anthony. Michael, that charmer always had a few words to make Violet blush. Though Michaela really isn't any better. Violet is and yet isn't surprised they're the heads of PR over in their family's company.
The last two Violet really likes are these two interns. Gareth, well, Violet isn't sure where he's interning. She knows it's either at Danbury Publishing or Hastings Inc., maybe both? She knows she sees him often enough with Lady Danbury and Simon, and knows he's in school to study archeology. Lucy is Kate's little intern who works more as an assistant while she's in school to studying for her degree. They'll happily chat with Violet if they see her around on one of their visits.
Violet just knows they're the ones for her children. Now, how to get them to see?

Family Of Nerds: Feanorian Modern AU
(I’m sorry this is somewhat Americanized I just don’t have enough knowledge about anywhere else to make those allusions) (Also please reblog with your own headcanons or other thoughts!)
Feanor
Philologist; studies language history
Often assists at various museums, colleges, archeological sites, etc
Has published several books and given many lectures
Creates his own languages like Tengwar for fun, also is a hobby blacksmith
Teaches his children many archaic languages no one else speaks and takes his family on "educational" vacations
Also attends every convention known to man, even ones that have seemingly nothing to do with his own interests, dressed to the nines and spends his time there signing books and debating other people
Loves his wife just as madly as the day he met her and is ecstatic he married his high school sweetheart
Idolizes his father. Would have done great following his political career if he hadn't "ruined" his public image by becoming a teen parent, ultimately feels he's made the right decisions for his life though and is happy with his work
Rivalry with Fingolfin over who can host the best dinner party (and you best believe he wears smart-ass punny aprons while cooking a six course meal for his guests)
Nerdanel
Professional sculptor and multimedia artist
Teaches classes at an arts college
Is known to eat the fruit out of the bowls her students are sketching when no one is looking
Cannot cook to save her life
Enthusiastically attends every possible event in her family’s calendar no matter the weather or lack of skill at a toddler dance recital
Dresses in a fabulously bohemian eccentric artist way; stole the show when she attended the Grammys with Makalaure and has been featured in several fashion magazines
Carries all sorts of art supplies and seemingly random tools in her purse at all times, including a chisel, googly eyes, edible glitter, a bajillion hair ties, DW40, and peanut M&Ms
Has a calm, wise disposition that belies her truly chaotic nature
Often looked to for advice from her students and children and will only pull your leg when she thinks you’re being stupid
Does give genuinely good advice though, mostly because she is uncanny in her ability to read people and observe subtle hints
Maitimo
Studied communications, currently working as his father’s apprentice but hopes to find a position as a public relations specialist
Uses his intimidating stature and loud, deep voice to his advantage as needed
Was born while his parents were teenagers and still living with their families, he remembers watching cartoons with Grandpa Finwe and being babysat by his uncles
Also attended his mother’s graduation from art school as a small child and clapped until his little hands hurt
Is painfully aware of how all his younger brothers look up to him - literally - and sometimes struggles with the pressures of setting a good example, though he does much better than he realizes
Drinks his coffee from a mug that reads “don’t make this ginger snap” (Nerdanel has a matching one)
The gayest gay to ever gay, informs everyone of this via cheesy tee shirts gifted from his brothers and cousins
Drives a minivan, claims he chose it because it was the only car that would fit his legs and not because he can haul his brothers around in it
Frequently complains about missing the technology of his childhood but resents being called a millennial
Makalaure
Grammy award winning artist and composer
Created the score for a recent movie that bloomed his popularity and brought him to the limelight
Has a Youtube channel with several music videos he definitely didn’t blackmail his family into filming with him
Also performed on Broadway once and will not let you forget it
Used to skip school to busk in the train station and once caught his math teacher also skipping school
Extremely popular with interviewers, camera crew, and other industry specialists for his kindness and crazy stories about his family
Donates large amounts of his royalties to children’s hospitals and other charities
Used to hog the bathroom in the mornings to put on makeup and style his hair
Practices Beyonce dance routines in the mirror, has convinced Curufin to do them with him before
Spent a semester studying in Sydney, Australia and fainted after encountering a large spider in his dorm room
Tyelkormo
Forest ranger at a National Park
Works at outdoor summer camps every year, all the children love him and his giant fluffy dog
Also volunteers at animal shelters and the wildlife rehabilitation center at the National Park
Creatine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; drinks so much milk Nerdanel used to tell him it was why his hair was white
Wakes up at 5 in the morning to exercise (disgusting)
Got a long bow for Christmas one year (the note said Santa but he knows it was his mom) and practices in the backyard by shooting at Amrod’s pumpkins
Metalhead, particularly likes viking metal and Nordic black metal
Made Huan his own battle vest complete with dog-themed patches such as “Bad to the Bone” and “No Leashes No Masters”
Tells the most terrible jokes you’ve ever heard then laughs like a seagull vomiting up a stolen bag of Doritos
Extremely loyal to his family, sometimes to a fault
Carnistar
Professional business accountant
Also does taxes as a side hustle because “it’s so easy”
Is obsessed with Oreos but will not admit it because of his brother's teasing about "Moryo's Oreos"
Obligatory family goth and not ashamed of it
Started mending his hand-me-down clothes as a necessity and got into sewing, now makes fantastic garments for his family and friends to wear
Halloween is the only valid holiday, he spends the entire year making his costume (it’s usually a vampire or some fandom character)
Stays up until 3am gaming on a PC he and Feanor built together one summer, favorite game is currently Balder’s Gate
Had to take speech therapy as a child and later some anger management classes.... because he got too good at expressing himself
Curufin
Silversmith and jewelry maker
Specializes in accessories for ballet dancers and other performers
Ballet dancer since he was young, never succeeded with a professional career but still practices daily and chose his specialty to remain part of the scene
Holds a serious grudge against certain critics that failed his entry to ballet academy (will not sell his products to them or their schools)
Always looking for new business opportunities, not always in the most honest of ways
Struggles with self esteem issues
Has several cats and claims they betray him when they snuggle with Huan but secretly finds it adorable
Frequently collaborates with Caranthir to make elaborate costumes just for the fun of it
Made a tiara for his favorite cat, Princess Paws
Would sleep until four in the afternoon if you let him (or if Princess Paws didn’t wake him up screaming for food)
Amrod
Gardening Club President at his school
Started a trade and barter farmers market after school to reduce waste and share the bounty of his and fellow club member’s gardens
Frequently tries to convince his parents to turn their property into a “self sufficient homestead”, leaves pamphlets and pictures of adorable baby animals lying around the house
Enlisted the help of his twin and Maitimo to build a chicken coop, forgot to ask Feanor’s permission first
Demands payment in the form of fresh caught fish or deer jerky for the use of his gourds in Tyelko’s target practice
Has definitely switched places with Amros to escape trouble or science tests
Often neglects his homework for pursuits he feels are more important, will only do it without complaint when Carnistar tells him to
Had eyes for the cool-looking red glow on the stove as a child and was banned from the kitchen for most of his adolescence
Is generally a persistent and stubborn person (wonder where he got it from)
Amros
Amateur photographer with an instagram following nearing one million
Account consists of 95% nature photography and 5% “The Adventures of Huan and Princess Paws” as he follows them around the back yard
Takes all of Makalaure’s headshots and creates his album covers, also photographs Curufin’s jewelry to upload to his retail website
“Borrows” Carnistar’s prized PC to upload and edit his photos
Conspired with Amrod to convince their elementary school classmates they were secretly Fred and George Weasley disguised as Muggles, ultimately failed because someone thought their accents “just sounded like they were copying Peppa Pig”
Still pulls out his British accent on occasion when someone needs cheering up
Inherited Nerdanel’s keen observation skills, mostly uses them to blackmail his brothers into doing his chores
But also gives the most amazing presents because he knows exactly what everyone truly wants
