Beautiful 2011 lakefront estate in Columbus, IN. Has 6bds, 11ba, $22.5M. But, you have to really like rustic and want to live in Indiana, and I know that I posted it before. It was listed for $30M in 2022, and taken off the market b/c it didn't sell. So, they reduced the price and it's back on the market again.
Tumblr media
I mean, really, look at this. I don't usually like rustic, but this is magnificent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The waterfall is 2 stories high and there're koi fish in the pond.
Tumblr media
It's open concept. Look at that ceiling and how the metal poles project out of the wood beams to hold the chandelier.
Tumblr media
This is spectacular.
Tumblr media
Can you imagine if that glass broke?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen is huge. Love the island and look at the size of those logs.
Tumblr media
Nice dining room. I like the stone floors, too.
Tumblr media
Cozy family room with a fireplace.
Tumblr media
The primary bedroom is carpeted and has a fireplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge en-suite bath with lots of river stones.
Tumblr media
The home office is right off the bedroom.
Tumblr media
Up in the mezzanine.
Tumblr media
The secondary bedrooms are beautiful and some of them have terraces.
Tumblr media
One of the other 11 baths done in stone.
Tumblr media
The rec room has a bar with a gaming area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bar is central to all the gaming areas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lounge and 2 bowling alleys.
Tumblr media
The pool room has saloon doors.
Tumblr media
Indoor golf area.

Down by the lake.

They have photos of all the animals on the 415 acre property, which I would love, but of course, they're talking about hunting.

Though out of the way, Peach Blossom, better known as Peach Paradise is located on one of the floating islands of Sky-Strewn Isle. The area is surrounded by luscious trees, plants/vines, and wildlife, including an assortment of fruit trees (mainly peaches). The home is connected by bridges and stairways, and with many trees surrounding the home, it's easy for anyone agile to jump and get from one place to another. There are a bunch of swings, vines, and such for entertainment. There are a total of 6 bedrooms. Much like his mentor, Sun has some sort of seal on the area surrounding his treehouse home. It is a way to protect everything in the proximity of the home. Anyone who dares try to harm the wildlife or nature of the surrounding area will be booted right off Peach Paradise.
The 6 bedrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sun has a lot of entertainment areas for those who are welcome into his home and for the wildlife that comes and goes. There are a total of 3 large entertainment rooms, 2 rooms full of books and a couple of rooms for lounging. The kitchen is an open concept that connects to the dining room as well. There is an outdoor porch as well as an outdoor eating area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sun has an indoor gardening shed and he also has an outdoor garden. The outdoor garden is surrounded by a clear pond that runs and connects around the garden. In the pond, there are koi fish and lotus flowers blooming. The outdoor garden is hidden from the naked eye. There are only a handful of people who may be able to see them and those are Magnolia if she were ever to come, Monkey King, and MK because of his ties to Monkey King. They are just able to see the garden without Sun's permission since they all share some sort of magic. Nezha is another person as well since he is still in some way connected to Sun by the bracelet.

Good Afternoon, Friends. This cat's name is Beacher. He is 10 years old. On Beacher’s 5th birthday his owner gave him the gift of his freedom…well, the most freedom he can have anyway, as an F1 Savannah Cat. Beacher had been purchased as a 7-week-old kitten from the Drinkwater cattery in Pasco County, FL who held themselves out to be “responsible breeders.” The owner really did her homework first. She researched everything she could find on hybrids and Savannah Cats. She visited Big Cat Rescue and said, despite the fact that we told her and everyone else on the tour how hybrids never work out, long-term as pets, she felt that she could do it. She had the money, the resources, and the time to be with the cat all day, every day.
She paid $15,000 for Beacher and built him an indoor / outdoor room with koi pond that cost her over $10,000 just to ensure they would have everything necessary to live the dream. She spent bonding time with him at the breeder’s facility from the time he was born, until he came home with her at the age of 7 weeks. When I asked her how old Beacher was when he first showed his true colors; as the wild cat he is, she said the very day he came home he really scared her with how aggressive he could be.
With tears in her eyes, she brought him to Big Cat Rescue to give him what freedom she could. With your help, Beacher will have a long and happy life.ever declaw a cat again, but was at her wits end trying to give him a forever home in her house. She said he never wanted to be cuddled, but would tolerate her petting him. No one else was of any real interest to Beacher, except as prey for him to stalk and attack.
She was getting married and Beacher was lurking under couches and around corners to take out this interloper. He had landed some pretty nasty bites and things were just escalating. Beacher had managed to escape several times and each time she was worried sick he’d be hurt since he had no claws.
With tears in her eyes, she brought him to Big Cat Rescue to give him what freedom she could. With your help, Beacher will have a long and happy life.
Beacher quickly became special to his keepers and his adoring fans online. He always has something to say, about everything, and to anyone who will listen. Learn more about Beacher, see photos, and videos at BigCatRescue.org/beacher

The Beauty and Benefits of Gardens:
A Perfect Retreat for Every Season
A garden isn’t just a space full of plants and flowers; it is an experience that engages all the senses, bringing nature into our everyday lives. Gardens offer numerous benefits – from promoting physical and mental well-being to enhancing the aesthetic appeal of any property. Whether it's a small balcony garden or a sprawling backyard oasis, cultivating a garden is a rewarding journey that provides both relaxation and rejuvenation.
Why Gardens Matter: The Multiple Benefits
Physical Health Benefits Spending time in the garden isn’t only about growing beautiful plants – it’s also a great form of exercise. Gardening can burn calories, build muscle, and improve overall fitness. From planting to weeding, raking leaves, and even harvesting, gardening involves a variety of physical activities that keep your body moving.
Additionally, working outdoors in the fresh air can help improve cardiovascular health and strengthen the immune system. Studies have shown that exposure to nature, even in small doses, can lower stress levels, reduce anxiety, and boost happiness.
Mental Health Benefits Gardening offers psychological benefits as well. The process of planting and tending to a garden can have meditative effects. This mindfulness activity allows gardeners to focus on the present moment, reducing mental clutter and encouraging mental clarity.
Gardens also provide a sense of accomplishment and pride. Watching your hard work pay off in the form of thriving plants and flowers offers emotional satisfaction. For those dealing with stress or depression, gardens act as tranquil retreats that promote relaxation and foster a deeper connection with nature.
Environmental Benefits On a larger scale, gardens contribute positively to the environment. Home gardens, particularly those that focus on native plants, can support local wildlife such as bees, butterflies, and birds. They also contribute to reducing carbon footprints by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen.
Moreover, gardens can improve the air quality around them. Plants act as natural air purifiers, filtering out toxins and pollutants. A well-maintained garden can create a cooler microclimate around your home, reducing the urban heat island effect and helping with energy savings.
Types of Gardens for Every Space
1. Flower Gardens A flower garden is the most traditional type of garden. Colorful blooms such as roses, sunflowers, and tulips not only enhance the appearance of your outdoor space but also attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, playing an essential role in the ecosystem.
Image Idea: A vibrant flower garden in full bloom with various colors, showcasing roses, tulips, and daisies.
2. Vegetable Gardens Vegetable gardens have become increasingly popular, especially with the rise of sustainable living practices. Growing your own food helps reduce your carbon footprint and provides you with fresh, organic produce. Tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and herbs are great choices for beginners, while experienced gardeners can experiment with more challenging crops like peppers or eggplants.
Image Idea: A raised bed vegetable garden with tomatoes, lettuce, and herbs growing.
3. Herb Gardens Herb gardens are compact and perfect for small spaces such as balconies or windowsills. Fresh herbs like basil, parsley, and thyme can be easily grown and used in cooking, enhancing your meals with fresh, aromatic flavors.
Image Idea: A small herb garden on a windowsill, with basil, rosemary, and mint growing in containers.
4. Japanese Gardens Japanese gardens are known for their serene and minimalist design. Key elements include smooth stones, bamboo, koi ponds, and carefully pruned trees. These gardens evoke tranquility and are often designed to reflect natural landscapes on a smaller scale.
Image Idea: A tranquil Japanese garden featuring koi fish in a pond, raked sand patterns, and ornamental trees.
5. Indoor Gardens Indoor gardens are ideal for those who don’t have much outdoor space or want to enjoy greenery inside their homes. Indoor plants such as ferns, succulents, and peace lilies can thrive in containers placed near windows.
Image Idea: A cozy living room with several potted indoor plants, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Gardening Tips for Beginners
If you're just starting, here are some helpful tips to get you on the right track:
Choose the Right Plants for Your Space: Understand your climate and soil conditions. Some plants thrive in hot, dry conditions, while others prefer cooler or more humid environments.
Start Small: Don’t overwhelm yourself with a massive garden. Start with a small space and gradually expand as you gain more experience.
Use Quality Soil: Healthy soil leads to healthy plants. Consider using organic compost to enrich your soil and improve its structure.
Water Wisely: Avoid overwatering or underwatering. Invest in a good irrigation system or use self-watering planters to make the task easier.
Prune Regularly: Regular pruning encourages healthy growth and helps keep plants looking their best.
Be Patient: Gardening is not an instant gratification process. Plants take time to grow and flourish, so enjoy the journey!
Conclusion: Creating Your Own Garden Paradise
Gardens have the power to transform any space, whether it's a city apartment, suburban backyard, or rural estate. They offer numerous benefits, both physically and mentally, and connect us to the beauty of nature. By selecting the right type of garden and maintaining it with care, you can create a personal sanctuary that serves as a retreat from the stresses of daily life.
If you're unsure where to begin, take it slow and allow your garden to evolve naturally. Whether you're planting colorful flowers, growing your own vegetables, or simply enjoying the peace of a Japanese garden, the key is to cultivate joy and mindfulness through the process of tending to the earth.
Video Idea: A time-lapse of a garden growing from a barren patch of land to a lush, vibrant garden filled with plants, flowers, and vegetables. The video could show the gardener’s progress over several weeks or months, highlighting the changes and growth in the gar

Solar-powered lights for energy efficiency.
LED lights in warm tones for a cozy glow.
Smart lighting systems that can be controlled via smartphone.
10. Low-Maintenance Landscapes: Relax and Enjoy
With busy lifestyles, many homeowners prefer landscapes that look stunning without requiring constant upkeep. Low-maintenance gardens focus on hardy plants, efficient irrigation, and designs that reduce the need for mowing, pruning, and weeding.
Low-Maintenance Ideas:
Install artificial turf for a lush, green lawn without the upkeep.
Use mulch or gravel to suppress weeds and retain moisture.
Choose drought-tolerant plants like succulents and agave.

Nature Indoors: Bringing the Outside In with Stunning Natural Elements
Incorporating natural elements into your interior design is one of the most powerful ways to create a calming, refreshing environment that feels connected to the outdoors. By blending nature with your indoor space, you can enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the natural world, no matter the season. Here’s how to bring the outside in with stunning natural elements that will transform your home.
1. Houseplants: The Green Touch
Nothing brings life to a room quite like houseplants. From vibrant greenery to sculptural succulents, plants not only purify the air but also add texture and color to any space. Choose plants that thrive indoors, such as pothos, snake plants, or fiddle leaf figs, and place them in decorative pots that match your aesthetic. Create a little indoor garden by clustering plants together in different shapes and sizes, or make a bold statement with a large statement plant like a palm or monstera.
Check this page: best interior design company in bangladesh
2. Natural Materials: Wood, Stone, and Metal
Using natural materials in your furniture and decor is a great way to connect with nature. Wood, stone, and metal elements bring warmth, texture, and authenticity to your interiors. Consider wooden furniture pieces, stone countertops, or metal light fixtures that showcase these materials’ organic beauty. A reclaimed wood table or a stone fireplace can become a stunning focal point in any room, grounding the space with earthy tones and natural textures.
3. Natural Light: Embrace the Sun
One of the easiest ways to bring nature indoors is by embracing natural light. Maximizing sunlight in your home not only brightens up your space but also boosts your mood and energy levels. Use sheer curtains or blinds that allow light to filter through while still offering privacy. If possible, incorporate large windows, glass doors, or skylights that invite sunlight into your rooms. Natural light makes a room feel open, airy, and connected to the outdoors.
4. Natural Textiles: Cozy and Sustainable
The fabrics you choose for upholstery, rugs, and curtains can enhance your connection to nature. Look for textiles made from natural fibers like cotton, linen, jute, or wool. These materials are not only sustainable but also add a tactile softness and authenticity to a room. A wool rug, linen cushions, or jute throw can introduce subtle textures and organic warmth, giving your home a grounded, natural feel.
Checkout this page: interior design company in bangladesh
5. Water Features: Soothing Sounds
Water features bring a sense of calm and serenity to any space. The gentle sound of flowing water can create a soothing atmosphere and help drown out urban noise. Whether it’s a small tabletop fountain, a wall-mounted water feature, or even a koi pond, incorporating water into your home can make it feel more tranquil and peaceful. The visual and auditory effects of water can make any space feel like an oasis.
6. Natural Colors: Earthy Hues
Earthy tones are perfect for bringing nature into your home, as they evoke the colors of the natural world—soft greens, warm browns, terracotta, and sandy neutrals. Choose a muted color palette for your walls, furniture, and accessories that reflect the beauty of the outdoors. Pair deep greens with wood tones, or soft beige with stone and metal accents. These natural colors will create a soothing and harmonious atmosphere that makes you feel connected to nature.
7. Natural Scents: Aromatherapy with Plants
Scent is a powerful way to bring the outdoors indoors. Many plants have natural fragrances that can fill your home with calming, fresh aromas. Lavender, eucalyptus, jasmine, and lemon balm are great examples of plants that not only look beautiful but also bring a refreshing scent. You can also use essential oils or soy candles with natural fragrances to enhance the ambiance of any room. Scents of fresh herbs or floral notes will evoke the feeling of being in a garden, no matter where you are.
Conclusion
Bringing nature indoors is about more than just adding plants; it’s about creating a space that feels connected to the natural world. Whether you choose houseplants, natural materials, or earthy colors, incorporating natural elements into your home can help you create a peaceful, grounding environment that nurtures your well-being. By blending natural beauty with your interior design, you’ll create a space that feels both timeless and refreshing.

Crafting the Vision My Dream Home
In the realm of imagination lies the blueprint of our ideal sanctuary, where every detail resonates with our desires and aspirations. For me, the concept of a dream home transcends mere brick and mortar; it embodies an essence of comfort, creativity, and tranquility. Within these walls, every corner whispers tales of cherished memories and future adventures, encapsulating the essence of a lifelong dream realized.
Tumblr media
Nestled amidst nature's embrace, my dream home stands as a sanctuary of serenity, cocooned in lush greenery and enveloped by the melody of chirping birds. As I step across the threshold, a sense of calm washes over me, inviting me into a haven where stress dissipates like mist in the morning sun.
At the heart of this abode lies a spacious, sunlit living area adorned with cozy furnishings and adorned with vibrant artwork—a space where laughter dances freely and conversations linger into the wee hours of the night. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame picturesque views of the surrounding landscape, seamlessly merging the indoor and outdoor realms.
The kitchen, a culinary playground bathed in natural light, beckons with the promise of gastronomic delights. Here, I conjure culinary masterpieces, experimenting with flavors and ingredients, while the aroma of freshly brewed coffee drifts through the air, awakening the senses with each sip.
Ascending the staircase, anticipation quickens my pulse as I approach the sanctuary of slumber—a sanctuary where dreams take flight and rest reigns supreme. The master bedroom exudes an air of understated elegance, with plush linens and soft hues invoking a sense of relaxation. A private balcony offers a front-row seat to nature's nocturnal symphony, where moonlit skies weave tales of romance and wonder.
Beyond mere functionality, my dream home incorporates spaces dedicated to creativity and contemplation. A cozy library, lined with shelves overflowing with literary treasures, invites me to lose myself in the written word, while a sun-drenched studio provides the perfect canvas for artistic expression.
Outside, the landscape unfolds like a living tapestry, with manicured gardens and meandering pathways leading to secluded alcoves—a haven for solitude and reflection. A tranquil pond reflects the azure sky above, where koi fish glide gracefully beneath the surface, their movements a mesmerizing dance.
In the tapestry of my imagination, my dream home embodies more than just architectural grandeur; it represents a sanctuary where heart and soul find solace, where cherished memories are etched into the very fabric of existence. It is a testament to the power of dreams—the guiding light that illuminates our path and inspires us to turn the abstract into reality.

Deep Cut Gardens
Tumblr media
Picture it: July of 2023. When I heard there was a garden formerly owned by a Mafia boss, my interest was piqued. When I found out its name was a pun, I knew I had to see the place for myself.
Located down in Middletown Township, Deep Cut Gardens’ claim to fame is former owner Vito Genovese, who had the gardens built to resemble his native Naples. It’s now in the care of the Monmouth County Park System, who’ve dedicated the grounds to the enrichment of their local horticultural enthusiast population. They, incidentally, have a more robust history of the property on their website.
Tumblr media
The Rose Parterre and Rose Pergola.
The grounds sport a koi pond, a greenhouse, a number of walking paths, a pergola, and a parterre that looks straight out of a castle’s courtyard. I may have had to Google what a “parterre” is, but now I’ll look super cultured when I whip that one out at my next social gathering. Just don’t ask me how it’s pronounced…

A creature I’ve only ever seen on my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons came to greet me straight away. This gorgeous, gorgeous girl is the eastern tiger swallowtail. (How do I know she’s a girl? Those stunning blue spots only appear on the females of the species!) I never knew they lived here in Jersey. Turns out they can be found all over the eastern half of the United States! She’s an East Coast girly.

A fairy house… or a gnome home.
The walking trails will eventually take you to a set of stairs lined with the most whimsical trees I’ve ever seen; the spot looked like a fairytale and I fully expected to get whisked away by pixies. I wish I’d gotten more photos, but there were not one but two separate wedding/engagement photoshoots going on that I was trying not to photobomb!
If you manage to outmaneuver the pixies and get to the bottom of the stairs, you’ll reach the pergola and parterre.

The greenhouse was similarly charming, and had more greenery of the “indoor plant” variety. Apparently, the gardens also host a seed exchange station – like a “little free library” but for plant seeds instead of books, which is an idea so adorable that it makes me wanna cry.
Tumblr media
Deep Cut Gardens was an absolutely stunning spot that certainly justifies all the simultaneous photoshoots. It’d be a fun place to check out if you’re a gardener, if you’re interested in local history, or if you’re a fan of Mafia dramas. (Actually, I think you’re legally required to be a fan of The Sopranos if you live in New Jersey…)

If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll even make a few insect friends like I did.
- Aley ❤️
