Beautiful 2011 lakefront estate in Columbus, IN. Has 6bds, 11ba, $22.5M. But, you have to really like rustic and want to live in Indiana, and I know that I posted it before. It was listed for $30M in 2022, and taken off the market b/c it didn't sell. So, they reduced the price and it's back on the market again.
Tumblr media
I mean, really, look at this. I don't usually like rustic, but this is magnificent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The waterfall is 2 stories high and there're koi fish in the pond.
Tumblr media
It's open concept. Look at that ceiling and how the metal poles project out of the wood beams to hold the chandelier.
Tumblr media
This is spectacular.
Tumblr media
Can you imagine if that glass broke?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen is huge. Love the island and look at the size of those logs.
Tumblr media
Nice dining room. I like the stone floors, too.
Tumblr media
Cozy family room with a fireplace.
Tumblr media
The primary bedroom is carpeted and has a fireplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge en-suite bath with lots of river stones.
Tumblr media
The home office is right off the bedroom.
Tumblr media
Up in the mezzanine.
Tumblr media
The secondary bedrooms are beautiful and some of them have terraces.
Tumblr media
One of the other 11 baths done in stone.
Tumblr media
The rec room has a bar with a gaming area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bar is central to all the gaming areas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lounge and 2 bowling alleys.
Tumblr media
The pool room has saloon doors.
Tumblr media
Indoor golf area.
Tumblr media
Down by the lake.
Tumblr media
They have photos of all the animals on the 415 acre property, which I would love, but of course, they're talking about hunting.
Tumblr media
Don't even think about killing my babies.

okay so I always wanted to work on a show soundtrack so here's some songs I would put in s2 because since its probably maybe not gonna happen these can be canon in my head
Stupid Cupid by Connie Francis - okay so imagine if you will. The episode starts out jarring, maybe some payneland smooching out of nowhere, makes you go back to the last episode thinking you missed a scene. But then Edwin opens his eyes, he's lying on the ground or something, and is immediately thrust into the middle of a fight scene(this is where the song starts playing). He had just been temporarily knocked out and had some dream sequence or something idk. The fight scene is in a fancy restaurant or smth and it's close to Valentine's day and it's all decorated with hearts and stuff. This song is diegetic, playing in the restaurant.
Flaws by Bastille - I'd probably put it during end credits/end of the episode. It feels very transitional to me. It's a song on the Charles playlist so of course it's gonna play after a scene with Charles heavy lore or something. Maybe Charles's dad dies, and the song starts at the beginning of the funeral scenes. Then, long after everyone's already left, Charles goes and stands in front of the gravestone and his mom is just there kneeling in the grass in front of him and doesn't know he's there and yeah. It's like, the start of Charles's Actually-finding-peace-and-confronting-trauma arc or smth.
Girls on Film by Duran Duran - good for a montage of like Crystal adjusting to having rich, showy parents. She thinks maybe if she helps them out with their big projects, which she assumes the old her didn't do, maybe they'll start seeing her and caring about her like parents should. Going to grand openings and being photographed/interviewed, being in the public sphere all the sudden. Crystal's overcompensating for being a major jerk in her past life and is now bending over backwards to be nice to everyone (which, from experience, isn't exactly healthy either)(aka she's gone the "obsess-over-being-good-enough" route that Charles's gone down)(yikes).
The Killing Moon by Echo and the Bunnymen - I honestly have no vivid images for this one. I just like the song, I think it matches the mood of the show. Maybe something about Crystal and David? A final confrontation? Cus I saw someone (I'm sorry I forgot who) say they thought it would be interesting if Crystal's powers get "contaminated" by David cus he's still buried by the tree. So like a final standoff.
Swan Upon Leda by Hozier OR Eurydice by Eugénie - I think s2 would be more about Charles' journey the way s1 was more about Edwin BUT i'm also curious about Edwin's life. Something happens where Edwin maybe ends up at his old house, or relives his memories and it's all in slow motions and more calm than Charles's in ep4. They're not all bad, but Edwin was different and outcasted and the likes. George Rexstrew said himself that he thought Swan Upon Leda described Edwin really well, but also Eurydice gives off a sort of melancholy floatiness that fits with a boy 100+ years dead reliving an upbringing that now seems to foreign to him, and yet is ingrained in every part of himself.
Since listening to music is my #1 hobby, I will probably find more songs down the line and add on, but this is what I got for now.

Get out of my office, trailer trash:
OFFICE ASSISTANT: (shows Dean into Wellington’s office) Mr. Presley for you, sir. RUSSELL WELLINGTON: Is that it for the day? OFFICE ASSISTANT: Yes, sir. RUSSELL WELLINGTON: Okay. You can head out. Uh, I need my, uh, dry cleaning taken to the lake house, and, uh, pick up Pepper and take her to the dog groomers, okay? OFFICE ASSISTANT: Yes, sir. (office assistant leaves)
RUSSELL WELLINGTON: Uh, Mr. Presley, look, I'm just gonna stop you right there. Judging from your cheap shoes and your faded jeans, I'm guessing the only house you're in the market for comes with wheels. Now, look, I'm a busy man. My time is extremely valuable. I prefer not to have it wasted by some hayseed. DEAN: I'm willing to buy if you're willing to sell. So why don't you show me what you got? 10x11 There's No Place Like Home

Yeeeah it is way scarier if the vampire can eat anyone. Can you imagine Dracula but when Jonathan cuts himself Dracula goes ":/ not a girl" or the first mate goes "good thing vampirism is no threat to me or I'd need to jump" or Dracula trying to eat Mina and going "curses, foiled by matrimony". Then the threat is that no one is safe from the vampire, not just Girl Virginity.
Yes, exactly. When the human heroes go on a dumbass expedition to the crypt in the middle of the night I need to be at least a little bit worried that the vampire might Fucking Get Them or what's the point??
Also, vampires only being a threat to Girl Virginity is creepy in a bad way and the subtext implied by it is definitely not something I'm keen to preserve from the original text.

This estate that was featured in Netflix's "Dumb Money" movie just dropped. The 2000 home in Decatur, GA has 3bds, 3ba, 4,261 sq ft, $1.195m. I don't have Netflix, but I can attest to the fact that this house is definitely a case of "money doesn't buy taste." I really dislike this house.
Tumblr media
The 1st photo above isn't an accurate depiction of how it looks today, though. As you can see by the current photo, it's worse for wear now.
Tumblr media
The large entrance foyer immediately sets the tone for the rest of the house.
Tumblr media
This is interesting. The painting on the wall and the framed art match. They also made an "area rug" out of tile.
Tumblr media
Thru the columned doorway, enter the dining room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are some built-ins, an alcove, and a bar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen is massive with dated cabinetry and a sitting area. The mural on the counter looks like a nautical scene.
Tumblr media
Next is a very ornate pool room, complete with pink neon lighting.
Tumblr media
The primary bedroom features a zebra patterned carpet.
Tumblr media
There's a gold sink in the ensuite, but whoever did the tiling didn't do a very good job- it's uneven.
Tumblr media
The great room retained some of the Tudor elements, but they painted the beams gray and changed the fireplace facade. The chandelier looks original.
Tumblr media
A few steps up to an angular space features a piano.
Tumblr media
Checkered flooring in the hall to the bedroom wing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interesting decor combined with the original Tudor style of the room. I wonder if that's real Versace bedding. The reason I wonder is b/c my BF has an unfortunate knock-off just like it, but in black.
Tumblr media
Wood and marble shower room.
Tumblr media
What an interesting light fixture in this room. You can see the leaded glass Tudor style windows throughout the home.
Tumblr media
Small child's room is a bit depressing.
Tumblr media
Large bath with vanity table. The baths are cold and uninviting.
Tumblr media
In the back of the home there's a large covered patio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These photos are seasonal, but it looks like the lawn is more dirt than dormant.
Tumblr media
The red carpet photos must've been from the movie or something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was looking better.
Tumblr media
3.60 acre lot
Tumblr media
The home is just a few feet from a small lake.

California was admitted as the thirty-first U.S. state on September 9, 1850.
California Admission Day
California Admission Day is observed on September 9 each year. It commemorates the day California was admitted into the Union as the 31st state in 1850 after it was ceded to the United States by Mexico in 1848. California became one of the few states to become a state without first being an organized territory. California Admission Day is not a federal holiday. Rather, it’s a local observance in the state, which implies that businesses, schools, and government offices remain open. In times gone by it was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony with parades and pageantry. Though low-key now, the day still marks an important part of Californian history.
History of California Admission Day
The Mexican-American War began in May 1846 when the U.S. declared war on Mexico. American settlers who lived in the territory of California in Mexico revolted against the Mexican government in what is known as the Bear Flag Revolt. The Americans captured Sonoma, hoisted a Bear Flag in the area, and declared it the California Republic. On July 9, 1846, Navy Lieutenant Joseph Warren Revere arrived in Sonoma and replaced the Bear Flag in the territory with a United States flag. Lieutenant Revere officially declared California a possession of the United States. In February 1848, Mexico and the U.S. signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo to end the war. This treaty meant that Mexico had to yield a large portion of its Southwest territory — including present-day California — to the U.S.
As of the signing of the treaty, California had a meager population that was not up to the 60,000-inhabitant benchmark a territory needed to achieve statehood. Earlier in January 1848, gold was discovered on the American River near Sacramento, and the territory witnessed a massive influx of immigrants looking for work and good fortune. Thanks to the Gold Rush, a huge increase in population and wealth followed, thus necessitating the need for civil government and local policies.
In 1849, Californians demanded statehood, and California became the 31st state on September 9, 1850. California joined the Union as a free, non-slavery state by the Compromise of 1850 in just about two years of the territory’s incorporation. Its first capital was in San Jose before it was moved to the city of Vallejo for lack of necessary facilities. The capital was later moved to Benicia, a small town, and subsequently to the riverside port of Sacramento in 1854.
