༘⋆ Ice Craft — able to create things out of ice. Weapons, imitations of other inanimate objects. Said objects melt at an increased rate once detached from the user.

༘⋆ Temp — being able to raise or drop the temperatures to extreme levels. Make it so cold that the characters opponent freezes up and stumbles. Heat it so that the opponent bends at the waist to gasp for air as sweat trickles down their spine and makes them think irrationally.

༘⋆ Block of Ice — freezing your body into a literally block of ice. Either parts of the body or entirely. Being frozen over completely renders the character immobile, but a way to combat this is to leave the joints of the character unfrozen.

The timeline won’t match up. To make this make sense, this is completely different from the whole Posiren shenanigans. It’s a whole story of its own.

I think that would break Poseidon. Imagine failing to avenge your blinded son, who by the way is still angry at you until you kill the mortal who blinded him, being beaten by a mortal despite being one of the big three, and now losing the children that you are carrying that you promised to protect.

Poseidon’s storm wouldn’t be raging. It’s more akin to weeping clouds than an angry hurricane. The fish caught by fishermen appear unhealthy, sickly, and they dont even catch a lot of fish. The salty sea breeze has a faint hint of the smell of tears. The waves crashed and raged against each other leaving fishermen and other traveling ships going off course, stranded at sea, or worse, sunken.

“You have beaten him, yes. And he may have won. But at a cost.” The god of travels started. “For you, it’s your humanity, your mercy. But for the god of the sea…” Hermes trailed off. The immortal looked at the sea for a moment. When Hermes looked back at Odysseus, Odysseus felt his breath hitched when the God of Travels’ irises were gone, reminding Odysseus that Hermes is still a god despite being on friendly terms with him.

Odysseus froze. His hands felt cold yet sweaty. His heart rate increased, beating wildly against his chest. He killed unborn children? Killing an infant is one thing, but killing the unborn? Odysseus felt his stomach churn. A wave of Nausea passed over him.

“The gods have sent me to give you a message.” Hermes’ loud echoing voice took Odysseus away from his thoughts. “You shall travel to the deepest parts of the sea, seek out Poseidon, and undo the chaos that has begun. These orders are from Zeus himself.”

This is more of a concept that I may draw because the whole Posiren Pregnancy saga is intended to be comedic and unserious. But damn, this has a lot of potential!

How the babies are formed? Let’s just chalk it up to: at some point during his time in Ogygia, Odysseus dreamt of meeting Poseidon and then fucking him, not realising that it is the god himself that he was fucking (in Ody’s defense, it is in a dream).

Why did the babies died? Demi-gods turning out to be immortal seems to be a rare occurrence, not 50/50 (like I thought it was at first.) Achilles isn’t immortal (in some versions he is but because of Thetis’ attempt to change Achilles’ fate.) Not only that but also, Ody did used Poseidon’s own divine weapon against him.

What Were the Consequences of WWII?

The consequences of the Second World War (1939-45) were many and varied. Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and military-dominated Japan were all defeated. Many occupied countries were liberated and regained their freedom while others were obliged to bear overrule by the USSR or the United States. The old world order was turned upside down as empires fell and former colonies won independence. Victory had cost 60 million lives and caused millions more casualties. Still more millions had escaped death or injury but were made homeless or refugees. Never before had a war affected so many people in so many places in so many ways.

The main consequences of WWII were:

The aggressive Axis dictatorships of Germany, Italy, and Japan were defeated

60 million deaths

The Holocaust, which resulted in the death of 6 million European Jews

Millions of wounded, homeless, and displaced people

Europe was divided into democratic Western Europe and Communist Eastern Europe

Germany was divided into two separate countries, and Berlin was divided into zones ruled by various powers

Japan was occupied by forces of the USA

Britain, France, and other European states lost their grip on their colonial empires

The United States and the USSR were established as two superpowers who could dominate global politics

The USA and the USSR were mutually suspicious of each other's intentions, and so the Cold War developed

The use of the atomic bomb on Japan made everyone fear a coming nuclear war

Western European states were determined to form closer economic and eventually political ties that would help prevent another war in Europe

According to the Imperial War Museum, the Second World War caused around 60 million deaths. This compares to 11 million in the First World War (1914-18). The exact numbers will never be known, such was the scale of the carnage, which involved 56 combatant nations. The Holocaust killed an estimated 6 million Jews in death camps like Auschwitz, labour camps, and through the actions of the Einsatzgruppen mobile killing squads. Other specific groups targeted in territories controlled by Nazi Germany included Romani people, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Communists, to name just three from a very long list.

Civilians accounted for perhaps half of the 60 million deaths. A great number of civilians died in their homes as a result of indiscriminate bombing campaigns carried out by all sides. Many more men died than women in the war, and so the sex ratio of some populations was altered dramatically, with a consequent, albeit relatively short-term effect on fertility rates.

Figures for the wounded and injured are even more difficult to determine. There were, too, different types of casualties since many who had participated in or witnessed combat, bombings, and atrocities found it difficult to overcome the mental trauma of such experiences. For many soldiers, reintegrating into society proved far from easy.

During the war, millions of civilians had fled areas where there was front line fighting, while millions more people were forcibly moved by governments. Jewish people, in particular, escaped persecution when they were still able to, which led to tens of thousands moving to countries like the United States, Argentina, and South Africa, to name only the top three destinations. In short, "the dislocating effects of the 1939-45 war had repercussions on the ethnic and nationalities mix in many regions, storing up explosive material for conflicts still unresolved today" (Dear, 227). Such upheavals have also made accurate statistical analysis difficult.

Many cities and towns suffered tremendous physical damage to buildings and infrastructures. Bomb-damaged buildings remained a familiar sight in many places right through the 1950s. Transport and communication networks that connected those towns also had to be rebuilt. Millions of children had lost their parents. Health systems were put under tremendous strain. Epidemics of infectious diseases broke out because of breakdowns in sanitation systems. Food and essential items like clothing were rationed in many countries during the war, and this situation continued for many years. In Britain, for example, rationing of clothing continued until 1949, while meat was rationed until 1954.

Despite various potential impacts on driving skills and the general prevalence of Long COVID, the specific effects on driving capabilities remain understudied.

Design/Methods This study utilized a Poisson regression model to analyze data from 2020-2022, comparing aggregate car crash records and COVID-19 statistics. This model adjusted for population and included binary variables for specific months to account for stay-at-home orders. The correlation between acute COVID-19 cases and car crashes was investigated across seven states, considering vaccination rates and COVID-19 mitigation measures as potential confounders.

Results Findings indicate an association between acute COVID-19 rates and increased car crashes with an OR of 1.5 (1.23-1.26 95%CI). The analysis did not find a protective effect of vaccination against increased crash risks, contrary to previous assumptions. The OR of car crashes associated with COVID-19 was comparable to driving under the influence of alcohol at legal limits or driving with a seizure disorder.

Conclusions The study suggests that acute COVID-19, regardless of Long COVID status, is linked to an increased risk of car crashes presumably due to neurologic changes caused by SARS-CoV-2. These findings underscore the need for further research into the neuropsychological impacts of COVID-19. Further studies are recommended to explore the causality and mechanisms behind these findings and to evaluate the implications for public safety in other critical operational tasks. Finally, neurologists dealing with post-COVID patients, should remember that they may have an obligation to report medically impaired drivers.

To those of whom that may be reading this, that may only have a passing knowledge of Zodiac signs, it may seem strange how I would be able to do an astrological deep dive. Well... the short of it is that Astrology is actually an extremely complicated system of divination that can literarily describe any part of one's life from, one's personality to medical conditions. Astrology as a practice is done through analyzing a "birth chart", this is a representation of positions of were planets, comets, and other bodies were in the sky in relation to a 360-degree circle that is divided into twelve, 30-degree sections (this will make more sense once you see the chart itself lol). Signs are the 12 zodiacs that each lord over different accepts of life. Planets Rule over Signs. A decan is a subsection of 10 degrees, of a 30 Degree section Zodiac, of which each subsection has a different ruling planet of those 10 degrees. Aspects are an angle that planets make to each other. I will be refencing a Branch of astrology called medical Astrology, a type of astrology that uses planets and positions to analyze physical attributes and afflictions in persons birth chart.

Will was also the first person we see get abducted by the upside down, this being the event that triggered the event of the whole series. The Astrological beginning of the year is considered when the sun is Aries, SPECIFICALLY the astrological year begins when the sun is at 0 degrees in Aries. Mars, the ruler of Aries is Known as the "RED PLANET" of which rules over concepts such as wars, conflict, aggression, and survival. HMM I wonder what is often compared to another planet, is red in color, and a place associated with conflict and survival (hint it's the upside-down). Also, because his sun is in Aries at 0 degrees, the sun is in the first decan which in Aries is lorded over by Mars. Interestingly enough Aries also rules over the beginning of the sympathetic nervous system, a branch of the autonomic nervous system that prepares the body for “fight or flight” responses during stressful situations. Its effects include Increasing heart rate, dilating pupils, inhibiting digestion, Mobilizing the body’s resources for immediate action (all symptoms we have seen from Will btw). Even Moreso Aries as an energy detached from planets is described as a barren, bitter, dry, much like our upside-down which may or may not be a manifestation of will Byler's mind (put a pin in this I will bring this back for his Aries in Mercury). Continuing on with the medical astrology of it all, Diseases of Aries include those associated with excess heat and inflammation, Comas, Dreams, Epilepsy, Memory, Nightmares, Nose Bleeds. All these symptoms seem very similar to certain events that have happened to various stranger things characters, especially ones that are theorized (by those who Believe in the DID theory) to be Wills alters. On a bit of a lighter note, I've Noticed a pattern of Aries Suns being short, (very fitting lol).

Now this brings me to what is the sun in Aries actually means for will outside physically attributes and some of my own Aries Sun interpretation. The Sun in astrology represents, your wisdom, the part of your life that is most Prominet to you, what one must learn to be independent in, fuilliment of potential. A trademark characteristic of Aries is courage, as I believe mike wheeler said, will is insanely courageous. Like Many Aries suns I have observed part of that courage also manifests in being boldly and unabashedly who they want to be, despite all odd, and will fight about in some way or another. Although because of other planets and aspects, it may not be as immediately obvious, like will byers. Wills manifestation of this attribute is the way in which he survived the upside down despite all odds and doesn't let society get in the way of being the nerdy, despite consistent bullying. A common theme I see with many Aries Suns.

as promised, i bring you all a WIP from my stsg vampire au (in which geto is a vampire & gojo is a vampire slayer).

summary / more information:

this au is set in the 19th century; suguru and satoru meet as teenagers while studying at a hankō (domain schools) and form a tightly-knit friendship that carries onto early adulthood.

wars ceased due to an onslaught of brutal crimes and widespread infestation (found in vermin) & samurais were sidelined. initially, the crimes were investigated for witchcraft & tied to mediums. but as the death count grew, paranoia increased, and innocent people were accused while the murders only worsened.

as a result of this, satoru and suguru underwent training to become [supernatural] slayers following their schooling (& utilizing military training learned then).

long story short, as this was no longer being dealt as a witchcraft situation, the “slayers” were renamed as “vampire slayers���, after noting that the crimes experienced deaths as seen in western, vampire mythos (drained life force, etc.). satoru’s decision to formally become a vampire slayer was influenced after suguru’s disappearance. with every new case, satoru jumps at the chance to take it, hoping he finds answers for suguru’s disappearance. in the span of six months, the murders surrounding the area increase at an alarming rate. however, each murder is closer to satoru’s location, happening in places significant to his past (his school, his childhood home, the town library he frequented with suguru, and lastly, the place they met). this alarms satoru, as he’d initially chalked it up to merely a coincidence.

upon realizing the cases were more severe than initial reports, satoru is instructed to locate and slay the vampire responsible and follow the trail down to the beginning.

this sets up most of the plot, but i won’t spoil too much!

please keep in mind that all of my WIPs are just that, WIPs, and will differ from the final product (in fact, there is a rewrite in the works ...). also, please note that this is a very *rough* summary for the plot. it is also worth noting that while this is set in 19th century japan, i will take some creative liberties with clothes & details as i see fit (so accuracy is not to be 100% expected ... i mean, vampires ARE involved !!!!).
