Of course, Izuku can't have his moment without some people having an issue about it.
Not surprised, anything involving Izuku Midoriya someone is going to hate and has been for almost 10 years now.
Here's the thing that honestly has pissed me off about the fandom. And you know what, I know some of you are going to think I'm a bitch about this, but at this point? I don't care. I'm now at a limit that has been pushed.
When it comes to Izuku Midoriya, some of you seem to forget that he is an individual. This is still HIS story he's telling.
Look, I got my ships, but damn it. Sometimes, I want these characters to still be perceived as their own characters.
Katsuki showing up this chapter was enough for me. Yes, he is a big part of Izuku's story, but... I feel like it would not be right for him to be more included in AFO and Shigaraki's ultimate defeat.
Last time I checked, Katsuki was only a temporary OFA user... FROM A MOVIE. His journey didn't completely evolve around One For All. Izuku's did.
When Katsuki was having his awesome moments fighting AFO when he was a kid and a baby (AFO), I ain't seen no one going "Oh, Izuku should be by his side, BakuDeku" or anything like that. No, y'all was cheering Katsuki on and seemed satisfied that Izuku served as support.
That's all this fandom ever does is see as Izuku as support for Katsuki, just he always has to have his story evolve around Katsuki and nothing else.
He's the main character, but with some of you? He's not allowed to have his own moments to shine. He's not allowed to think about anything else but Katsuki. He's not allowed to put down the villain he was meant to face unless Katsuki is there to take the shine away.
Be honest, that's how you feel, isn't it?
Like, damn, Katsuki already won the last how many popularity polls!! When are y'all going to rest and let Izuku Midoriya be front row and center in his own damn story?!
I don't hate Katsuki, but I'm starting to dislike a lot of his fans.
Same for Shoto.
Look, Shoto also being more involved like how some of y'all wanted for this chapter would make no fucking sense to me. His fight was always meant to be against Dabi. His story involved his family. Izuku wasn't there fighting Dabi, so why in the hell should Shoto share some of the big moment when Izuku takes out ShigAFO?
How would that be fair for Izuku?
Some of you didn't even like Izuku being involved with the family drama and later he wasn't for the big fight because the Todoroki Family Drama wasn't for him.
As with Katsuki, Shoto is still a supporting character. He's a big one, but oh my gosh!!
I literally just woke up and the bull I'm already seeing is ridiculous, it is.
Sometimes, I feel like some of you who think they know the story haven't been paying attention at all. Some of you, I feel have that "this character should have been the main character" mentality so when Izuku does MC things, you go into some frenzy over it. Some of you, I feel should take off the damn shipping goggles and for once realize that these characters are still individuals and percieve them as such. Horikoshi, if you read this... don't make any ship canon. The fandom can settle for fics.
Ten years... for ten years... as much as some of you demean Katsuki for his actions, you act just as he did towards Izuku. Treat Izuku like some damn punching bag. You don't even have to like the story, I don't give a damn.
He gets moments to shine, it's a problem. "No, this character should be---" Just stop!
I'm not saying Horikoshi's writing is perfect. I'm not saying you have to like Izuku. I'm not even saying I'm an expert on BNHA because I'm still learning the story, too.
But what I am saying is, and it's going to sound bitchy, is that y'all are so blinded and muddled by your criticism and shipping that you're quick to make judgments. You're quick to rush and not sit back and really try to understand what's going on and your hatred or indifference towards Izuku is just doing a disservice to not just the story, but to yourselves. The way some of you think will ruin the experience for you and some of you sound like jerks, for real.
Like, every character is important to BNHA in some way, yes. But what about Izuku Midoriya? Doesn't his importance matter, too?
Or is he just some character for you to hate on or some character you only value for shipping purposes?
Feel how you about this chapter (even though it was just leaks and not the officially out chapter, let alone THE WHOLE DAMN STORY!! BNHA AIN'T FINISHED YET!!), I don't care.
But oh my gosh... do better, just do better.
It isn't just this fandom. It's all fandoms. There's this trend now of "criticizing" the main characters or saying "they're not really the MC" or how their value as a character for shipping purposes.
This can apply to any character, but right now I'm focusing on main characters.
When it comes to main characters, you should understand them most of all to understand the story and a lot of you or at least the loud minority have failed drastically.

What I Thought About "Echoes of the Past" from The Owl House
Salutations, random people on the internet who most certainly won’t read this. I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons.
What probably gets debated the most in the fandom is the legitimacy behind King being the King of Demons. Some believe that there's truth to his statement, while others, like me, like to think that he was just some stray Eda picked up off the streets. Either option seemed likely, especially since Season One never gave an answer that leaned one way or the other.
Then here comes the writers finally answering the question of who King is in episode THREE of Season Two! Because, again, they don't waste time on giving fans exactly what they want.
Fans wanted answers behind King, we got 'em, and analyzing what those answers mean requires going deep into spoilers. So if you haven't checked the episode out yet, I highly recommend that you do. Trust me, it's worth seeing.
Now let's review, shall we?
WHAT I LIKED
Luz Experimenting with Spells: Hey, look! More proof that Luz isn't an idiot like some people flanderize her to be!
But, seriously though, this is a perfect little thread to introduce into the story. Luz collecting knowledge from Lilith's old books and past work she and Eda made adds to Luz's intelligence while also providing a believable explanation for how she gets new spells. It's also nice to see that she has this little notebook (or spellbook) to help see what works and what doesn't. It's a level of experimentation that proves her dedication to becoming a witch while also exemplifying how she isn't stupid. Occasionally reckless, sure, but you can't say that the person who figured out an invisibility spell through showing her work is also an idiot.
Francios with a Knife: How did Francois get a knife? I don't know. But the fact that a random knife plopped out behind him with little to no explanation is funny, and I will not hear otherwise.
I don't make the rules. I just abide by them.
Luz’s Invisibility Spell: I breezed past this, but I honestly love this invisibility spell. More specifically, I love that there's a limiter. It can turn you, objects, and people you're in contact with invisible, but only as long as you can hold your breath. It helps make the spell something the characters can't always rely on, which is appreciated. Because if it works as long as they concentrate, what's stopping them from sneaking into Belos' castle and assassinating him in his sleep? It's a smart way of explaining why they can't always rely on something, despite how insanely useful it is.
Luz: Let's gush about Luz some more, shall we!
"Echoes of the Past" is another episode that has Luz on top form. She is constantly supportive of King, even if Lilith has a point in the dangers of indulging his fantasy as a powerful tyrant. Doing so would cause more harm than good, especially when King finds out Luz doesn't believe him, but her going along with it was all done with the best of intentions. Luz doesn't want to hurt her friend, and even if she did in the long run, she still makes up for it by helping King learn more about his past.
And, as another reminder, Luz isn't stupid. She's the first to say they should leave when it's clear how dangerous the castle is and is quick to figure out there should be more at the top. Luz is a loyal and caring friend who's also guarded and intuitive when the situation calls for it. This episode understood that, so here's hoping other fans will too.
Lilith: Yeah, she's still growing on me.
I feel like this episode shows a better idea of Lilith's place in the group more than the past two. She's a person who's obsessed with knowledge and learning but considers herself above the jovial nature of King, Luz, and definitely Eda. Therefore, she acts as the perfect catalyst for what jumpstarts this week's adventure. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that she almost instantly dismisses King's claims due to considering herself more knowledgeable than everyone else. Still, I like how she's willing to believe King once she finally sees evidence that seemingly proves he really was the King of Demons, to the point of referring to him as "her lord." Hooty does the same thing, but it comes across as him fearing for his own life and choosing to be friends with someone who could maybe kill him in an instant. For Lilith, her newfound respect comes from the desire to learn more, and it's that desire that makes Lilith an enjoyable character to me. It's adorable to see, and it has some comedic flavor in moments like when she dismisses everyone else and their emotional revelations to take pictures of the carvings around her. I'm sure she'll cause some controversy like other characters with rushed reformations, but for me, I'm more than ok with her addition to the main cast.
More of Lilith’s and Hooty’s Friendship: HOW DOES THIS WORK!?
ON PAPER, IT SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD BE A BAD IDEA, BUT IT F**KING WORKS!
HOW?!
WHAT BLACK MAGIC DID THESE WRITERS USE TO MAKE A RELATIONSHIP SO UNEXPECTED COME ACROSS AS SO ENDEARING AND ADORABLE?!
And where can I get some for my stories...just asking.
But seriously: HOW?!
Hooty Making Himself Portable: Ah, yes. The classic bit where a character does something horrifically grotesque off-screen, and we have nothing but character reactions and sound effects to imagine what happened between shot A and shot B. It's an oldie, but given how hard I was laughing (mostly because of Luz's gagging), it's still a goodie.
Eda’s Portable Bathtub Boat Thing: I mean...I was expecting Eda would use something to catch up with the others, but...that thing...well...I mean, I'm still laughing just by thinking about it. That should tell you how well executed this joke was.
John Luke: ...I'm gonna go ahead and add him to the list because HOLY S**T was this guy disturbing! From his design to his movements to even the sounds he makes when moving, everything about John Luke screams as something that will stay in kids' nightmares for a while. Now, this might seem like a complaint, but to be honest, I'm more than alright with how creepy John Luke is. I highly doubt adult viewers will consider John Luke scary, but I guarantee he'll terrify some of the youngins that this series is aimed for. And that's fine. It's good to creep kids out a little bit with something somewhat scary, as it might introduce them to more good horror stories later in life.
Plus, the reveal that John Luke was only a guard for King is pretty solid narratively speaking. You can see how John never really meant to hurt King aside from one accident when Eda escaped with him. If you want to read into it, I guess it might be questionable to tell kids that something that looks dangerous is secretly nice, but that's really nitpicky, in my opinion. John Luke was a fantastic threat that is designed and animated well, with a solidly executed twist. Some might hate what he presents, most will fear him, but we can all agree on one thing: His theme is awesome (can I get the track for that, please)!
King’s Backstory: Finally, at long last, we know who King is, thus putting an end to a year-long debate. And I fully mean it when I say that the writers gave the best possible answer. Because in a way, everyone was right. Yes, King was just an animal that Eda decided to adopt, like the nature-loving hippie she is inside (She's got the hair for it). However, while he may not be the King of Demons himself, he is still the son of someone who deserves that title. So while he isn't the King, there's a chance he might be the Prince. Once again, there's no direct answer, but given how the writers came up with something that pleases everyone while still providing more questions for debate, it acts as a brilliant move, in my opinion. So whatever answer we get next, I'm sure it will be just as perfect.
Baby King:
Tumblr media
My heart was not prepared for that level of cuteness!
King’s Breakdown: NOR WAS IT READY FOR THIS LEVEL OF SADNESS!
But in all seriousness, a HUGE round of applause to Alex Hirsch for his performance in this episode. He expertly captured the raw emotions of shock, anger, betrayal, and sadness that King must have felt when finding out that everything he believed he was is a lie. It's one of those moments where I don't hear a person voicing lines in a booth (or wherever the hell VAs are voicing characters nowadays), but instead hear a living person being emotionally torn apart. It was heartbreaking seeing King so vulnerable as he's so guarded with his emotions. Seeing him like this adds so much more layers to a character that many would mistake him as a cute, comedic animal sidekick. But just like with Luz, there's more to him than people will tell you.
“I don’t even know what’s real or fake anymore!”: I'm just pointing out this line because I believe it's what convinces Luz to help King learn more about who he is. Hell, not knowing what's real or fake is the main reason why Luz got sent away in the first place, so I feel like she can relate to King when he's in a similar predicament.
Hooty and Lilith vs John Luke: This was just a cool scene with some epic moments of dodging John Luke's attacks and some funny ones, like how Hooty said the word "pain." It's a ten out of ten that I would rewind to watch again.
King’s Other Horn: I'd question the logistics of how a horn that got broken off when he was a baby still manages to fit perfectly in the present...but it is neat symbolism of King accepting his past and letting it be a part of him, so who cares?
(The fact that the colors of the broken-off piece don't match the rest of the horn is nice attention to detail as well.)
WHAT I DISLIKED
It's a Little Too Predictable: I pretty much figured almost every little twist the episode offers. But, I'm willing to say that's because I'm in my twenties, and I've seen enough stories similar to this one, so I'm more likely to know what will happen. The little monsters watching this will see it for the first time, so they'll most likely get more surprised than me...And that was my only complaint about the episode...which is more of a personal problem than an actual issue...I guess that means it's perfect.
IN CONCLUSION
"Echoes of the Past" is an easy A+ in my book. It gives lore and backstory that furtherly develops the characters that episodes like this should. It also tells a tragic story about King that still sprinkles in a few good jokes every now and again to lighten up the mood. Sure, there are some nitpicks I could mention (how did King remember his own birth?). But when the good stuff is done so well, what's the point of dwelling on small, insignificant issues? This is still a phenomenal episode that flew past all expectations I had for it, and it continues the winning steak this season is having so far.
(But that's still three home runs in a row. Meaning that a stinker is coming. Ooiee, is it coming!)

ROOMMATES • Part 1
Divergent • College AU • Eric x Reader
ROOMMATES masterlist 💫 Divergent masterlist
You escaped your current living situation by moving in with your friend Christina – and five other college students. Little did you know that one of them was the guy who was your ultimate pain in the neck since your first semester. Now, you had to find a way to not strangle him in his sleep out of pure frustration. Also, you had to find a way to get rid of those weird butterfly feelings for him that slowly grew in your stomach.
Words • 2.4 k
The enemies to lovers story no one needed.
/////
It absolutely didn’t take you by surprise when your moving day turned out to be the hottest day of the year in Chicago. Not one single shadow spending cloud was to be seen, the temperatures felt like standing next to an actual volcano and your so called ‚friends‘ called off from helping one after one. It all got your blood boiling and made you want to throw your phone to the ground and stomp on it.
Instead you pushed it into the pocket of your pants, brushed some sweaty hair out of your face and continued unloading the first box out of the moving van you had rented.
Before you entered the building you would live in from today on, you took a good look at it. It was a rather spontaneous decision to move in. When you told your college friend, Christina, that your current living situation was very complicated, she offered you a free room in her apartment.
She was living with a lot of people. It would be eight people in total by tonight when you had moved in. For your liking, that was maybe a little bit too many roommates, but you rather took that, than live with your ex-boyfriend any longer.
You climbed up three flights of stairs and with each one the box in your hands got heavier. Knowing, that there were so many more boxes in the van that had to be brought up, made you want to sit down and have a beer already.
There was only one door on the third floor, which also appeared to be the last story of this building. That must be it. You rang the door bell and instantly heard some voices discuss about who would open the door.
A guy with some friendly eyes opened. „You must be Y/N!“ He stepped aside for you to enter the apartment. „I’m Uriah.“
„Are you on your own?“ You didn’t really get a proper chance to introduce yourself because Christina came rushing to Uriah’s side and gave you a brief hug, ignoring your sweaty body. She seemed truly offended by you being alone. Though, she was rather offended by your friends who weren’t there to help you even though they said they would.
You just shrugged and tried to take in the surroundings of your new home. Christina already told you that the apartment covered the whole story, therefore it had a lot of rooms that sheltered a lot of people.
It was a pretty opened concept. The big kitchen space flowed over into a living area and the other way around. Around the center piece, a huge dining table, were sitting three people, chatting the afternoon away. Christina and the guy, who had introduced himself as Uriah, joined the group again. She introduced you to Will, her boyfriend who you already knew from a lot of conversations, and the second couple in this apartment: Tris and Four.
„One roommate is missing, he’s… I don’t know where,“ said Christina and gestured for the remaining people to get up from their chairs. „Are we okay to help you with your stuff?“
She asked as if you had truly something to disagree with her offer. „You would be my life savers,“ you confessed. The help of your new roommates was genuine. The first bonding with them happened through carrying up your heavy boxes three flights of stairs, ranting over the heat and laughing about it because somehow you got along with them very well. Maybe after all the crap that had happened, this could be a good restart.
Christina offered to drive along with her car to the rental station and take you back to the apartment after dropping of the van. You didn’t have a car yourself and her offer was music in your ears. After that hot day and the physical exhaustion, you really didn’t want to ride your bicycle all the way from the rental place to your new home.
On your way back to the apartment, you asked Christina to stop at a pizza shop. You wanted to grab some dinner for your new roommates, and yourself, after they saved your ass with carrying your stuff all the way up to your new apartment.
When you placed the pizzas on the dining table, where everyone was still sitting at, every hesitation, if they had some at all about you moving in, was gone. Someone who brought pizza was very welcomed to move in.
Even though you were exhausted to your bones, the pizza gave you a small power boost, to continue with some more work after dinner. Before crashing on your mattress tonight, you wanted to unpack some of the stuff still. To your luck, Christina and Tris helped a little with your clothes and setting up a makeshift desk. At some point they left to go to bed. Way past midnight you felt your body giving out rapidly. You needed a shower. And sleep.
Right across from your room was the bathroom. There was still light in the hallway and you heard noises from the living area. The bathroom door was slightly open and you sleepily opened it completely to enter and shut it behind you.
The tiredness in your brain was suddenly gone when you faced a naked man getting out of the shower. You looked at him in shock and all you were able to say was: „What are you doing here?“
„What does it look like?“ He didn’t really hurry up to grab a towel and cover himself. There was too much time passing until a towel finally covered his lower half. Too much time for you to see, well, everything.
When the first shock subsided, you pulled yourself together, and looked at his face. This guy hadn’t been there all day. Still, you knew him.
„What are you doing here,“ you repeated your question in disbelief, this time with a small addition, though, „Eric?“
„I live here. What are you doing here?“
Fuck. No. Please not. „I guess we are roommates then,“ you stated in frustration.
„You are Christina’s friend moving in?“ He grabbed a second towel to dry his hair and looked at your from a weird angle. „Life’s just not fair to me.“
„Tell me about it.“
There you were. Standing in the small bathroom of your new apartment with Eric Coulter. Who lived here as well. You contemplated going back to the rental station immediately, get a van and remove your stuff before you unpacked completely. This was a nightmare. Since starting your first semester, Eric was the pain in your neck you were constantly clashing with. Whenever you started a constructive discussion about a topic, he was the one to drive you verbally crazy. There was no debate he missed and sometimes, you thought, he had taken it a personal mission to piss you off. Because even when he had the same opinion on something, he still had to prove you otherwise.
It had been dislike at first sight.
„Are you done in here then?“
„Why should I be?“ Eric’s discipline to make life more complicated for you was nothing you could deal with right now. Not after the day you had.
„Fine. Whatever,“ you mumbled. Instantly, you regretted opening the bathroom door – a shower had been so necessary – but dealing with Eric right now wasn’t worth it. The few steps across the hallway later, you stumbled over some of the boxes in your room, tripped and fell right on to your mattress. Grumbling, you turned around and saw Eric in the bathroom door inaudibly laughing at you. With your last energy, you slammed the door shut and collapsed back on the mattress. His stupid, grinning face was the last you had in mind before falling into a deep sleep.
/////
The next morning, after sleeping like a baby, you made sure to first take a glance into the bathroom before entering. No Eric. You locked the door, undressed and breathed out in relief when the water hit your skin. The warm water washed away all of yesterdays sweat, soaked your hair and made you feel like a human again.
The water temperature suddenly changed from hot to freezing. Hearing the toilet flush go off indicated why. You peaked out from behind the shower curtain and saw Eric readjust his boxer shorts.
„I locked the door!“ You whisper-screamed at him.
Eric went to wash his hands. At least you’re washing your hands, you thought. „I had to pee.“ He winked at you, left the bathroom and turned the lock into position again when he was back in the hallway. Great, not even a lock can keep him out.
With fresh clothes and still wet hair, you made your way for the kitchen. Your roommates were gathered at the huge dining table, Eric included, and had an awesome looking breakfast. It was ten on a Sunday morning, you didn’t expect all of them to be up yet.
Some ‚good mornings‘ welcomed you and assigned you the seat right across from Eric. Of course.
„How did you sleep?“ Christina poured you a coffee and tried to add milk and sugar but you were able to fetch it from here while it was still black.
„Good,“ you answered with a ‚thank you‘.
„This is Eric, by the way. The roommate you didn’t meet yesterday.“
Your glance went from her bright eyes to Eric, who stared at you like he had only now registered you sitting across from him. „We had the pleasure already,“ you stated and took a long sip, not breaking eye contact with him.
He was the first one to look away, which made you sink back in your chair with a winning grin on your lips.
During breakfast your roommates instructed you on how this living together worked. Who cleaned when and what, what team is when doing the weekly grocery haul and why you don’t flush the toilet when someone is taking a shower. When Uriah mentioned that, you turned your head to Eric and caught his glance. He didn’t seem to be impressed by your death stare.
Christina offered to help again with unpacking after breakfast. Still within the second she closed the door to your room, she popped the question. „Do you and Eric know each other?“
You groaned. „Kinda,“ you said as you turned to look at her. „Do you remember me constantly complaining about a guy in one of my classes who’s always driving me crazy?“
„That’s Eric?“ Christina’s face went blank and her jaw dropped. She flung the door open and entered, without knocking, the room next to yours – Eric’s room. You could hear his voice telling her to get out and knock the next time. Christina replied something but you couldn’t understand it. Was she telling him to stop his bullshit debates with you, now that you were living here? You couldn’t tell, even though you pressed an ear to the wall. They were both talking, but too quietly for you to understand a word.
You still wondered about that incident a week later. Christina just didn’t come back after bursting into Eric’s room. And he wasn’t to be seen ever since. Like he had just vanished. Which he didn’t because you could hear him come into his room late at night and leave it early in the mornings. Summer break meant he didn’t leave for classes and it bugged you that you even thought about this so much. You shouldn’t care. At all.
You did care.
„Chris?“ You knocked on hers and Will’s door. Will answered to ‚come in‘. You opened their door and only saw him laying on the floor in front of a fan. The heat was still very prominent. Instead of asking where Christina was, you asked him if he was fine.
„Totally fine. Just very hot.“
„Same,“ you replied, regretting it a little to not having asked Christina if there was air conditioning in the apartment before you moved in.
„Christina is out with Uriah. Doing the weekly grocery haul. Uriah jumped in for me,“ Will rolled around to lay on his stomach and looked at you with a dramatic expression on his face, „I just couldn’t. Too. Hot.“
With an amused smile you closed the door again and went to the kitchen to get some more water. Even though it was summer break, you still did a lot for college. There was a study you had engaged in and wanted to work on further. Sitting back down at your desk, you lost yourself in analysing the newest data that had come in.
You didn’t know for how long he stood there in silence until you noticed him. Eric leaned in your opened doorframe and observed what you were doing. You turned to him in your chair.
„Can I help you with something, Mr. Invisible?“ You really really wanted to know if you had done something wrong for him to disappear so completely from the apartment. Within the next second, all the exhausting memories of debates with him came back and you were feeling a little less guilty. Still, you wanted to know.
„Just wanted to let you know that, whatever Christina might have told you, is not true.“
„What’s that supposed to mean?“
„That it’s not true.“
„What is not true?“
„My reasons for always debating with you.“ Eric’s look was puzzled and he tried to understand the confusion on your face. Or his own confusion. Then his eyes widened a little. „Wait, she didn’t talk to you?“
„Talk to me about why you’re such a pain in my neck? No!“ You wished she would’ve. For the last week you had tried to question her about that incident but she always managed to change the topic. Wait… „What are those reasons?“
„There are no reasons. And if there are any,“ he grew uncomfortable, „they are just not true.“
„You confuse me,“ you stated.
„Great,“ Eric replied. „At least once I managed to do that after never being able to do so in our debates.“ He left. Just left and let you sit in your room with a thousand question marks in your head.
Christina wouldn’t get a single minute of peace when she got home. Not until she told you what had happened a week ago. Even if you had to kidnap her on your bike to a donut shop and sugar-shock her to get information. You would get information. That was for sure.

Overall review of wizards. Spoiler warning. This is just my opinion. If you enjoyed it, I’m happy for you. I think it was far too rushed.
Five episodes in we finally started to get introduced to interesting characters. But the pace never slowed down long enough to understand their role, their personalities, purpose, etc. It was a quick flash of ‘Oh that’s cool-and they’re gone...but I wanted to see more and understand...’ The quick glimpse of Angor Rot (my boy 😭) Why did he fish Morgana from the river? He hates humans...I’m confused??? He has magic. Did he learn from the evil magic squad?
The graphics are incredible. It looks amazing but I feel like for me to have a connection to this part of the story it had to have been longer. Another ten episodes of us getting to know Douxie in Arcadia would’ve been nice. When you dump as much information and new things on viewers it’s just too much for us to handle. I was so distracted by going “the heck is happening” to ever bond with Douxie. This makes me sad because I was enamored with him in Trollhunters. Also, he went from super suave bad boy to derpy bard boy. Not necessarily bad...but personally, I enjoyed his confidence in Trollhunters. Straight up hit a gum gum with a guitar. Not a magic one...just a regular guitar. Chad move. But this...felt weird. I personally think it would’ve been a much better plot twist had he been Mordred. Would’ve given him a darker edge, a vendetta, an interesting character arc. His goal to be to avenge his mother Morgana and kill Merlin/Trollhunters. Instead we find out that he’s basically a edgy, awkward bard. Which isn’t bad but not enough character development for me to be excited about any apparent growth or newly discovered powers.
Steve Palchuk (while I love his character) was unnecessary to this plot. I would’ve preferred Eli. His brains would have been helpful and I think his comedic relief would’ve fit better than Steves. Steve’s jokes just didn’t seem to land. The comedy relief was not timed right. Again, I absolutely loved Trollhunters and 3 Below...but there was never a moment to stop and catch your breath to know the world and characters which made it difficult to enjoy.
I still don’t fully understand how magic works. Douxie taught Claire for a minute and that was it and now he’s her teacher? Morgana and Merlin walk to the other side and say that sorcery dies with them but Claire and Douxie are left. Magic is...emotion? Kinda? Idk they never explained. 🤷‍♀️
Arthur’s character was...confusing to say the least. He misses his love and hates “dark” creatures because they killed her. But he comes back from the dead...to atone for his sins...by being evil? That didn’t make sense to me. Same with Morgana coming back and him being like sup sis! Know I tried to kill you but we are blood family! His super quick switch to asking for trolls help and loving his sister again was unexplained and made 0 sense. Just make him a dislikeable character and leave it at that. Sometimes it’s better to keep things simple. Over complicated plots can be messy and unenjoyable.
Morgana going from villain to hero was expected but executed poorly. She would flip like a switch and I just couldn’t sympathize with her as much as I did when she was a villain. I enjoyed her passion while being dark. Her redemption arc could’ve been handled so much better. Her having a romantic thing with Merlin and Merlin betraying her becoming the true villain while she is thirsty for revenge would’ve been top tier world building. We got butt jokes from Steve instead.
Strickler and Nomura. I want to see them. Especially back then? Oh they would be so evil and dark and I LIVE FOR IT. Especially since we love them now. Itd be cool to be reminded of their past. Back to the Jim smelling of human without being a changeling. Could’ve seen more on that and an interaction with him. They’d be fascinated I’m sure. Morgana created changelings but that could’ve easily been explained that she was working behind Arthur’s back the whole time. Working with Gunmar and creating changelings to infiltrate the castle while pretending to be submissive in court to Arthur and Merlin. It would explain why Changelings value cunning even more so and it would’ve been more believable than her talking to Claire one time and saying “yes! I’ll just tell my bro he crazy and needs to stop! Thank you kindly foreign hand maiden with dark magic!” Like there’s no reason for Morgana to trust her. Use her...sure. She would want Claire power, but Morgana’s character was far too rushed to make sense. I miss it when she was just a villain.
Also...Jim gets stabbed by a blade and they don’t call his mom? They don’t let her know her son could be dying? She’s a doctor. She doesn’t know much about the dark Magicks but she’s so smart and Strickler is her boyfriend. She should’ve been told. She should’ve shown up. I love her character and she adds a lot to the dynamic. Steve was the focal point far too often.
Bular. (Inhaled deeply). I missed him so much. It was cool to see Gunmar and Bular again. Bular I feel could’ve been interesting to build more too and I’m grateful for what we received. He obviously was more impressionable than his father. Morgana saved him and he immediately vouched for her while touching his fathers shoulder saying softly “she spared my life.” Like...Bular is an excellent character because even when fighting Jim in his final moments, Jim talks to him about dad issues and you can see Bular think about it and ultimately decide his fate. Just...ugh yes I missed the angry tall charcoal man.
Confusing part though...Gunmar and Bular declare that forest their own. Jim and Deya are there and watch as they scare off Arthur. You’re telling me they just let them go??? When they’re trying to recruit trolls for the war? They just go welp...see ya. Nah. There should’ve been dialogue there. The strange troll that smells of human but isn’t an impure. Cue the changelings. Could’ve been an awesome Segway into the life of the gum gums because honestly...Arthur was a douche and I sided with the Gum gums. Like yeah they eat people but Arthur was so...weird and uncomfortable to watch that I’d rather see the Gum gums who make no qualms over what they want or who they are.
The...giant dragon that’s the familiars dad. No reason for him at all. An attempt at a quirky dad character that landed flat. He went from oh lemme get you a cup of tea to DONT ChALlenge Me BoY I KnOw KaRAte!!! And I was like...ummmmm excuse me??? And then he went on to give a lesson on grief and show pictures of his son and I was like Soooooo we aren’t burning Douxie to a crisp? We are just going to throw in a quick ill timed lesson on grief?
The fight between Krel, Claire and the gang vs evil Jack Frost, eye ball raven, and evil Arthur electric boogaloo. Instead of showing the fight they did a recap. That fight would’ve been so awesome to watch and instead we got a recap of them getting their booties kicked. It’s an effective time saver but lazy story telling.
The fawn earth bender woman is important because she was part of the secret magic club and decided she didn’t want to kill people anymore...or something. As if her club ever lied to her about what they were about to do. Like Oh we are killing people? I thought you were joking for millions of years.
They all need her back to do...something evil that I can’t remember which I assume the movie will be about. I want more lore on evil Jack Frost and eyeball raven. They just were like “Congrats Morgana! We are the cool super old magic squad. We are the dopest thing in this show and we won’t say anything about ourselves besides a vague description in under 3 secs that leave our viewers confused and disappointed because they want more.”
Like seriously. They were the best part. Their intro was on a flying castle and I kinda hate that their intro was Merlin yelling “Oh no! Them!” Like we are supposed to know what and who they are. Build up is so important for an aundieces understanding. Like who they are? What they want? What they are? I spent the first half of the show mostly confused and the last half moderately confused and bewildered.
In conclusion, not my fave. It lacked the charm and quirkiness of 3 below and the depth and character development of Trollhunters to deliver a mediocre segway to a film. I really want this film to do well...but they will be on a time crunch and I was not impressed with how they handled this one in ten episodes. Fingers crossed the movie does better.

1. What would you do if your pet suddenly started to talk to you, but nobody else could hear it? Would you assume you'd gone mad or simply be happy for the company? Would you try to convince your friends and family or would you be satisfied keeping it to yourself? Omggg, that would be so trippy. I’d definitely be freaked out at first and think someone slipped me something haha. I think I’d keep trying to talk to her and get her to respond before it really set it in that it was really happening. I’d have so many questions and things I’d want to say. That would be so cool. Hopefully, she wouldn’t have anything bad to say... ha. What if she just started going in on me about everything I’ve said and what she has observed. She’d be like, “girl, you need to get your shit together.” haha. What if she wasn’t as sweet and loving as I think she is? :O lol. Nah, we’d have an even closer bond. (: Anyway, I honestly don’t know if I would tell anyone. I’d certainly want to. I’m positive I would try and record her talking for proof. If not, then maybe I’d try to prove it another way. Like, have my family say or ask her something without me hearing and then ask her about it and tell them what she said. I’d find some way!
2. When you answer the phone, what do you typically say? Is it different depending on whom the caller ID says it is (if you have caller ID)? Generally, just a typical “hello.” Sometimes I’ll say something else when my mom calls. Like, jokingly I might act annoyed and say, “What do you want?” or “Hey, boobala/boob” lol. My family and I call each other those nicknames.
3. Is there a food that you only recently started to like? If so, what is it and when did you start liking it? How often do you try again foods you don't like to see if your tastes have changed? Prior to a couple months ago I didn’t eat breakfast sandwiches very often and the addition of cream cheese was something new for me. It’s not that I didn’t like breakfast sandwiches before, it just wasn’t something I had too often. My brother got me hooked on this local place that makes ‘em and then we started making our own. I also started eating guacamole with my scrambled eggs. I don’t retry foods I don’t like. If I don’t like something then I just don’t eat it again.
4. Who would you NOT want to read the surveys you've posted on here? What would most likely happen if they did read it? Is there anyone you actually wish would read your survey answers but whom doesn't? I’m really open on here and share stuff that I don’t express or open up about in person. I can get deep and dark sometimes. I wouldn’t want my family to see some of my responses because I wouldn’t want them to worry or know certain things. There isn’t anyone I know that I want to see my surveys. These are like my personal journal entries. ...that people I don’t know can read... ha.
5. What three things do you think will become obsolete in the next ten years, and why? Hmm. I don’t know. That requires more thinking than I can be bothered to do.
6. Do you watch Glee? If so, which song do you want to hear on there that they have not yet done? If not, which TV show do you think has the best soundtrack? No, I never got into Glee. I’m not sure about which show I’d say has the best soundtrack. I don’t really pay that much attention to that.
7. What do you find to be the most irritating piece of clothing to wear wet? Are you the type of person to go to great lengths to avoid getting your clothing wet? What about your hair? Jeans for sure, but I don’t like wearing wet clothes of any kind. It’s just uncomfortable and makes me cold. I don’t feel I have to go great lengths to avoid getting wet, though. I don’t encounter situations where that could happen all that often. I don’t mind if it’s raining and I get a little wet, but I don’t want to get drenched. I don’t really care about my hair getting wet anymore, but I used to hate it when I actually attempted styling my hair because my hair gets very frizzy and flat when it gets wet.
8. How often do you witness discrimination? Do you ever speak up about it when you do see it? Or would you only speak up if the discrimination was directed toward you or someone close to you? >> I don't often witness anything, to be honest, since I'm home so often. I don't really have significant experience with blatant discrimination, despite my myriad marginalities. <<<
9. Do you think you would be able to pull off a crime perfectly, without being caught? What about other lies? For example, cheating on your partner without getting caught? Would you be able to get away with it? No. Not that I have any desire to try, but I know I would be too scared and anxious and make mistakes. Not to mention the guilt. Something would give myself away for sure.
10. Are you the type to get embarrassed if your parent/parents acts/act your age? Do they do this often? Or do you think it's stupid to put an age on the way one can act? Pfft, my parents are awesome. My mom especially is a lot cooler than me. People love her.
11. Do you know anyone who has divorced and remarried the same person? What do you/would you think of someone who does that? No, not personally.  12. Do you say goodnight to anybody before you go to bed? If so, does it feel weird if you go to bed without saying it to them? My family and I say it to each other and yeah it does feel weird if for some reason one of us doesn’t.
13. How do you react when you're scared? Do you scream, jump, cover your eyes, etc.? I’m really jumpy and skittish. If it involves a bug, I really freak out and it’s super embarrassing.
14. Who is the best storyteller you know? What do you find best about their storytelling? Is there an interesting story of theirs you'd like to share? My grandpa was. He always told the best stories and he had a lot of ‘em. They could be quite long and go off on tangents at times, but they always came full circle. And he was really funny, too.
15. When you check your e-mail account, how much of it do you delete without even looking at it? Do you have a separate account for junk like this? A lot of it, honestly. Some I can tell by the subject line if it’s something of interest to me like a particular sale.
16. Do you strongly dislike (or even hate) any bands or musical artists? If so, what caused such a strong negative emotion towards them? No, I don’t have any strong negative emotions towards a band or artist. If there’s one I don’t like then I just don’t listen to them, that’s really it.
17. What are you listening to? Is it something you would normally be found listening to, or just something you've started listening to recently? Yeah, I listen to a lot of ASMR.
18. Does/did your school bus stop directly in front of your house? If not, where does/did it stop? I never had to take the school bus, but no there isn’t one that stops in my neighborhood that I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure where to be honest. I did take the public bus in college sometimes, though. The bus stop isn’t right by my house, but it only took me a few minutes to get to it.
19. Do you parents have any collections? If so, what do you think of those collections? My dad has his various sports memorabilia and shoes, my mom has a lot of stuff for her favorite football team, shoes, books, Baby Yoda stuff, Disney Loungefly backpacks, and some other knickknacks.
20. Are there any movies you watch when you're feeling anxious or depressed? If so, what are they, and what about them calms you down and/or lifts your spirits? No, I don’t tend to turn to movies for that. I turn to ASMR and/or another one of my distractions. If I do decide to turn to TV, I just put on something mindless that I’ve already seen that doesn’t require much thinking or paying attention.
21. Would you rather see a band/artist perform in a small club, an arena, or at an outdoor venue? Why? Which one have you been to most recently? I enjoy arenas, personally. From my experience, I’ve never had to be hugged up on people or feel claustrophobic in an arena. Since I’m in a wheelchair, I’ve always just sat up in the nosebleeds and there’s plenty of space and not a lot of people. I can also see better. At a small club or outdoor venue, people would be standing and I wouldn’t be able to see at all.
22. Do you have a favourite role of Johnny Depp's? If you don't like him, what is your favourite role of an actor you like? I’ve always thought he was a very talented actor. My favorite role of his is Sweeney Todd.
23. If you were in a competition to win your dream prize, and you were allowed to decide what the competition would be (trivia about your favourite band, a foot race, singing, etc.) , what would you choose and why? Uhhh. I feel like I’d still end up losing somehow even if I got to choose the competition, ha. I don’t feel like I’m super knowledgeable or especially great at anything.
24. What is your least favourite thing about the English language? Are there any other languages you prefer besides English? Just how we have words like “read” that can be pronounced differently depending on how its used and silent letters. Like why are silent letters a thing?
25. Would you be upset if a long-term partner confessed that they had committed a serious crime before you met? How do you think it would affect your relationship? What type of crime are we talking about and did they already serve their time or whatever was required? That would be a very difficult situation to be in to say the least. If we were in a long-term relationship I couldn’t just drop them and end things like that unless they told me they committed a murder. That would cause a whirlwind of emotions and confusion and shock and gah it would be horrible. It’d be difficult because I would know a different side of them and still have feelings for them, but I wouldn’t able to get past something that serious.
26. Who, out of the people you know, do you think has the most messed-up relationship? Have you ever spoken up about it or do you stay out of it? Have you ever been in a relationship that was really messed-up? No one I know currently.
27. What emotion have you been feeling most commonly lately? Do you like feeling this way? If not, have you done anything to try to change it? Depressed, moody, irritable, frustrated... that’s been ongoing for years now, though. I hate feeling that way, yet I haven’t done anything to try and change it. :/
28. Why did you/your parents choose to live where you do now? Would you move right now if you were able to? Why/why not? If so, where would you like to go? My mom was born here and majority of her family lived and still live here. I’m not quite sure when my dad and his parents came here. My paternal grandparents lived here for awhile until they moved out of state about 20 years ago. My mom was very close to her parents, but they’ve both passed away 10 and 15 years ago now. But yeah, being near family and already living here was the main reason. There was other stuff, too, like not wanting me or my brother to have to change schools and then we both went to the local UC, which is a really great college. And stuff like my parents’ jobs being here and not being financially able to move. So yeah, it’s a lot of different factors, but we’ve honestly been wanting to move for a very long time. We don’t care much for the city itself. I don’t feel tied here despite living all my 31 years here so far. The last year we’ve gotten a little more serious about it and have taken some necessary steps. My brother is graduating soon and I think after that we’re going to finally do it.
29. Is there a song that you think, lyrically, describes your childhood? Have you ever had a song describe your life perfectly, each and every word? How does it make you feel when you come across songs like this? Not my childhood, but yeah there’s several songs that I just really relate to where the lyrics seem to speak right to me. I like using relatable quotes and lyrics to try and express myself or describe how I’m feeling because they do it much better than I can.
30. Do you tend to befriend people who are of a similar, smaller or larger weight than yourself? (Even if it doesn't matter to you, you can admit it.) Has it always been this way? That has honestly never been a factor when befriending someone... like, that doesn’t matter at all. I don’t know why it would. I’m concerned about a person’s personality, who they are as a person, or whether or not we connect.
31. List a random fact (each) you know about 5 of your favourite survey takers: Lane (@inchoate-surveys) has a dog that looks so much like mine named Finn. Elisabeth @bionic-beth) is a teacher in New York. Robyn (@ssurveys) likes Paramore. Lina ( @iaintgotcontrol) is from Sweden, which I think is really cool. I’d love to visit someday. Lauren (@brilliant-bloss0ms) is into interior design.
32. Whenever you have a question about something random, are you more likely to ask Google or someone you know? Does it depend on what exactly you want to know? Do you do both? I just Google it real quick.
33. How old were you when you went on your first date? Was there anything you would change about the experience? How do you think it shaped your expectations? If you've never been on a date, what did you like best about the last meal you ate? I was in my early 20s. We went to dinner and a movie, which was how I thought a first date should go. It was nice.
34. If you had to serve a meal to an ambassador from another country that symbolized your country's culture, what would you choose? Do you think s/he would love it as much as you do? Hamburgers, fries, and apple pie. ha. That’s not my favorite meal, though. If I served my favorite food it would be boneless garic parm and lemon pepper wings, ha.
35. If someone broke into your house and robbed you, what could they take that would piss you off or upset you the most? To what lengths would you go to get it back? Has something like this already happened to you before? My laptop, definitely. There wouldn’t be a whole lot I could do to get it back. I mean yeah, I could file a report but I wouldn’t expect to ever get it back. No, thankfully nothing like that has happened before.
36. Do you enjoy watching the special features found on most DVDs? What do you usually enjoy more: the deleted scenes, the bloopers, the audio commentary, or the behind-the-scenes footage? I very rarely ever watched those, but if I did I checked out the bloopers and maybe the behind-the-scenes footage.
37. Do you care at all about the Stanley Cup playoffs? If so, which team are you rooting for, and is it different than the team you're sure will make it to the cup? If you don't care, is your family the type to get right into a sport, or is the topic of sports rarely spoken about in your house? My dad loves sports and my mom has her favorite football that she gets really into, but I have no interest in sports at all.
38. Have you ever had your own flower garden? If so, what are/were your favourite flowers to plant? No.
39. Would you ever date someone who is exactly like your youngest (or oldest, if you're the youngest) sibling? Why/why not? Some of the same qualities, yeah, such as intelligent, hardworking, ambitious, responsible, funny.
40. Was there something you were afraid of as a child that just seems silly to you now? I was terrified of Ghost Face as a kid and now Scream is one of my favorite scary movies.

Plot: Living with the Seven Deathly sins was difficult but it was definitely worth it because of him, your favorite sin, Kim Taehyung.
A/N: Ahhh I know I was supposed to upload A Hell of a Boyfriend today buuut my friend requested this a month ago and I wanted to focus on finishing it today so she could finally read it! Hope you guys enjoy it too ^^
Word count: 4.3k
Warnings: Smut, Jungkook being a bit....Violent xD
Tumblr media
Living with the Seven Deadly Sins wasn't easy, no matter how epic or intimidating that sounded, sharing your home with them was as having seven teenagers as roommates. It wasn't until you found them, that you realized how much parents suffered when their kids started having this kind of behaviour.
You honestly weren't sure how you've managed to survive so many years besides them, any ordinary person would have ran away as soon as they realized who they were dealing with but, oh well, when have you ever been normal? Besides, leaving their shitty traits aside, all seven of them were good friends, they were loyal and people you could trust blindly.
It was moments like the one you were in, when you doubted if all the headaches they gave you were really worth it.
"For the love of God Jimin, I didn't say Namjoon's outfit looked better than yours!"
It all had started with Namjoon and Jimin getting ready for some kind of event they had tonight. After praising Jimin's choice of clothing for ten minutes straight he had finally been convinced that he looked good in what he was wearing but, as soon as Namjoon had walked into the room wearing a tuxedo, his Envy had appeared because apparently, you had whistled at the sight of him.
That's all it took for Jimin to change his mind about his outfit, claiming that, since you found Namjoon's more appealing, he would have to look for something better than his so you could be even more stunned.
"You didn't need to say it" Namjoon scoffed, eyes glued to the mirror as his fingers skillfully fixed the buttons on his jacket's sleeves. You rolled your eyes at him, his attitude wouldn't definitely help in this situation. Pride was the most annoying sin to deal with, especially when he got involved with Jimin's envy.
"He is right, you didn't even have to praise him" Jimin agreed with a small pout, leaving you speechless, what the hell was that supposed to mean? You had praised him before because if you wouldn't have, Jimin would have never gotten dressed "I could see it in your eyes" He added as if you weren't confused enough.
Frustrated, you let out another sigh as your eyes followed Jimin into your walk in closet and Namjoon out of the bedroom since he was finally ready to leave. They would be late though, because Jimin wouldn't leave until he finds an outfit better than Namjoon's, which means he would change another thousand times.
Tiredly, you laid down on the bed beside Yoongi, who was peacefully napping, cuddled up against the stupidly large amount of pillows he had there. Curious, you turned your head to look at his sleeping face, smiling a little when you saw how calm and relaxed he seemed to be there. How he hadn't been woken up by the previous argument was a mystery to you but well, he was Yoongi after all, Sloth was meant to be lazy twenty four hours a day, no matter what the situation was.
Without holding back the childish urge to poke his cheek, you gently pressed your finger against his skin, earning a quiet humming from his lips "Yoongles" You whispered, being loud enough for him to hear you perfectly. The male frowned, obviously disliking your interaction with him but now that he had moved, you knew he was listening to you "Tell Jimin his outfit it's also good"
Yoongi laid on his side, facing the wall and keeping his chubby cheeks away from your hands, dodging any future attempts of waking him up with the same technique you just used “It is awesome” He mumbled quietly, nuzzling his face deeper into the pillow.
“You didn’t even open your eyes” Jimin whined and although you were starting to get kind of annoyed at his complaining, you had to admit that he was kind of right on that one. Yoongi hadn’t even glanced at him, it was obvious he had just said those words so you would leave him alone “Don’t care anyways, I have to find something better!" Jimin exclaimed frustrated, Yoongi already started snoring quietly beside you.
You were about to say something to Jimin, anything that would stop his whining but Jungkook was faster and more effective without any doubts.
"I swear to God Jimin! If you don't shut the fuck up I'll barge in your room and punch you!"
Jungkook's words made Jimin go pale, his mouth instantly closing as he turned away from you to face his wardrobe. You, on the other hand, were biting your lip as hard as you could to avoid laughing at him.
Having heard Jungkook's scream, Jin made his way down the hall to the bedroom, poking his head inside. His eyes first inspected the younger male, watching for a few seconds how he picked up shirts just to discard them and throw them away without sparing them a second glance. But then, as he kept shoving a bunch of chips into his mouth, his eyes were dragged to you and curiosity sparked in his eyes when he realized you were holding back your laughter.
"What's so funny?"
Fucking Jin.
Jimin instantly turned around, eyes landing on your guilty yet slightly red face, before betrayal flashed in his features. Discarding you like one of his shirts, he grabbed a bunch of clothes and walked into the bathroom, slamming the door loud enough behind him to let the rest of people in the building know he was mad.
"Good job Jin" You sighed, standing up from the bed, rolling your eyes as you walked towards the door "Now if he whines again and Jungkook punches him, it will be your fault"
Jin shrugged, stepping aside so you could walk out of the room "Want some?" He asked, turning the bag of chips in your direction.
You shook your head "You never get tired of eating?" You asked, genuinely amazed by how much food he could consume in a day.
"He will ruin us all" Hoseok or Greed muttered as he walked into the bathroom "I'm tired of using MY money to pay for your food"
"Oh shut up, you eat too" Jin scoffed walking away, rolling his eyes.
You turned around, willing to go into your room where none of their drama would get in your way when you walked into a hard, broad chest. Hands instantly flew to your forearms, keeping you in your place, rescuing your poor butt from landing on the hard cold floor of the apartment.
"Easy there baby" You didn't have to look up to know who was standing in front of you, his deep voice was enough to know Lust, also known as Kim Taehyung had been the one that saved you "You good?" He asked amused, hands still on you as his eyes scanned your surprised face.
Your relationship with Taehyung was complicated. You were dating but you also weren't at the same time, the two of you knew the way to each other's bed way too well, the guys were also aware of the affairs that had taken place in your rooms. You were also exclusive, none of you were allowed to see anybody else since, as Taehyung liked to say, you were his as much as he was yours.
I mean, whose panties wouldn't drop if THE Kim Taehyung said that?
Feelings were complicated with him though. Taehyung, as you've learned with time, was attracted to people by sexual impulses, he was the personification of Lust after all, so his nature was mostly attracted to sexual satisfaction. Love had been an unknown or taboo word in his dictionary until you came around and even though the possibility of being something more than casual lovers had been mentioned, you were well aware that Taehyung was still a bit scared of what relationships might imply.
Keeping things simple despite being complicated was your best option. The two of you had been doing well so far, why ruin it with tags and status? The two of you knew better than that.
"This house is just…Chaotic, I swear one of these days I'll either explode or kill someone" You muttered to him, who only chuckled at your expected response. He had been living long enough with the guys to get used to their behaviour but he was sure it had to be a little tiring for a human.
"Now you get how I feel right?" Jungkook suddenly intervened, popping his head out of his room to look at you "The hypocrisy in this household is unbelievable" He scoffed, obviously irritated.
"What are you even talking about now?" You exclaimed frowning, not really getting why he was mad with you.
"I do something that's a little violent and you all call me aggressive but you threaten to kill one of us and it's cute" Taehyung snorted at his brother's words, not like he disagreed though, he kind of had a point there
"Nobody said I'm cute?"
"Tell that to your whipped ass boyfriend" Jungkook exclaimed as if it was the most obvious thing in the entire universe, putting the spotlight straight on Tae.
"I mean, technically, you are worse than her" Namjoon joined the two of you, still waiting for Jimin to get dressed. "(Y/N) hasn't killed any of us yet"
"I haven't either" Jungkook crossed his arms on his chest defensively "Your point?"
"Last night you threw the remote control at Hoseok because he walked by the television when you were playing video games" Namjoon said getting competitive, ready to slam Jungkook into the next dimension with his facts "We could count that as a murder attempt"
"I was playing Overwatch! And he stumbled over the cables! I thought he would disconnect the console" Jungkook said ready to debate, it was impossible to win Namjoon though, he knew he was walking straight into a lost battle.
"Are we going to ignore how none of them freaked out at the word boyfriend?" Hoseok pointed out from the other end of the hall, sharing a new bag of chips with Jin.
"That's called character development" Jin said, a teasing smirk on his lips "Now either (Y/N) gets accidentally pregnant or Tae asks her to marry him" You opened your mouth to say something but you knew that would only make everything worse.
"We can't afford any of those right now" Hoseok frowned, looking at the two of you as if he truly believed Jin had discovered your plans.
The older scoffed besides him "With all the money you've got saved up? They could have an entire army of babies and get married as many times as they wanted"
"Not happening, my money is untouchable" Hoseok finished the conversation, disinterested now that wasting money was mentioned.
"Aaaand that's our cue to go" Taehyung announced, resting his hands on your shoulders and gently pushing you deeper into the corridor, towards his room in order to walk away from the chaotic mess your roommates were.
The two of you walked into his bedroom, their never ending snickering becoming background muffled noise as soon as Taehyung closed the door, shutting the two of you out of the disaster that was taking place outside.
Tiredly, you plopped down onto his bed, falling face first down onto the mattress, instantly burying your face against his pillow. His manly yet delicate scent welcomed you and a smile made its way up to your lips when you sniffed the new cologne he had been using.
"That was…" Taehyung started off, breaking the silence between the two of you as he approached his bed.
"Intense? Stressing?” You asked, finishing his sentence, a smile tugging onto your lips when you heard his deep chuckle.
"I was going to say entertaining but yeah, I guess you could also describe it that way" He replied laying besides you, his back pressed down against the mattress as he extended both of his arms, placing one of them across your stomach.
"I'm probably going to sound a bit rude here but sometimes I can't wait for the day we move out to our own place" You mumbled turning your head to look at him, obliging to his subtle order when he gently pushed your body closer to him, making you lay on your side so you could keep your chest pressed against his side. "And not wake up because Jungkook is about to murder somebody or because Jimin is getting all whiny again"
"Or eat whatever we want without being afraid of Jin eating it before us" Taehyung said chuckling, turning on his side too, so he could be face to face with you.
"Or nap as much as I want without Yoongi getting grumpy because I stole his favorite napping place….Like the entire house is his favorite napping place!" Your sudden frustrated exclamation made Taehyung chuckle, his arms instantly coming to your rescue and holding you in order to comfort the frustration out of you.
"I'm so sorry about it" He said, attempting to sound honest without laughing about it anymore "We'll just have to keep saving up for a little more, we're almost there babygirl"
You nodded quietly, unable to keep complaining when Taehyung inched himself closer to you body, pressing himself up against you as he casually buried his face into your neck. Dating Taehyung, the personification of Lust, made you learn he never did anything innocently, every gesture, every caress and every touch, no matter how innocent or insignificant they seemed, always led to the intimacy he craved.
It was never the wrong time, you were never in the wrong place. Taehyung always got what he wanted because let’s be honest, who were you to say no to him? You were always a sucker for him and the attention he gave you, Tae was a deathly seducer whose weapons were sweet words and lovely embraces, there was no human alive that would ever resist the temptation he represented.
“Do you know what it would also mean, right?” Before you could do something, Taehyung applied enough force onto your body to press your back down against the bed, lowering his body so his chest would still be against yours without letting his entire weight crush you. You hummed in response, signaling for him to keep talking in that hushed, husky voice you loved so much “You could walk around in just one of my shirts without worrying about the rest of the guys showing up” He gently pressed his lips underneath your ear, right where he knew one of your weak spots was. Your breath got slightly shaky, heart pounding and sending rushes of blood through your veins mixed with excitement and anticipation “I could also take you whenever and wherever I want” Another kiss sent shivers down your spine when his lips moved lower on your neck “On the kitchen counter” His lips caressed your skin again “On our couch, on the floor, in the shower….Everywhere” Every time he named a new location, another kiss would sent waves of teasing pleasure through your body. “And last but not least” He moved back, your body silently complaining when the warmth of his breath abandoned your skin but you instantly relaxed when he positioned them back against yours, rubbing them against your parted lips gently, slowly, in such a sensual way that he almost made you whine “I could finally make you get as loud as I want you to, because baby, I love the sounds you make when I make you feel good”
“Taehyung” His name came out as a breathy moan, caressing his lips in the softest of ways yet, he refused to kiss you, he wanted to tease you for a little longer.
Humming, he leaned back to look at you, eyes scanning your face with a glint of amusement and need in his eyes “Hmm, what is it baby?” He asked quietly, thumb finding its way to your lips, running it along your lower one “What do you want?” Taehyung smirked as one of his hands moved down your cheek to your neck, fingers caressing your collarbone as they slowly made their way down on your body.
“You know what I-”
Your words got stuck in your throat when he touched the small wet patch that had appeared in your underwear, the smirk that pulled the corners of his lips up said it all, he was more than satisfied by how fast he had managed to turn you on. Cocky bastard. “My oh my, what do we have here?” Taehyung chuckled when your cheeks turned red, his face lowering until his lips landed back on your neck “I haven’t even touched you and you’re like this?” His fingers pressed on your clothed clit, sending waves of pleasure through your body, making your toes curl as he chuckled “If we-”
Jimin’s shriek echoed in the apartment, making you and Taehyung jump startled, and the stomping sound that followed, made you guess he had kept whining and Jungkook had finally had enough of it. You couldn’t blame him though, patience was needed, a requirement when dealing with Jimin and poor Jungkook had none of it, you didn’t know how haven’t they killed each other yet.
“This is why we need to move out asap” Taehyung’s sigh made you chuckle, amused while he shook his head tiredly.
“I thought we were already used to that background noise” You muttered smirking, biting your lip to not laugh even more since he seemed to be really bothered by it.
“How am I supposed to get in the mood knowing Jungkook is about to strangle Jimin?” His words definitely made you laugh this time, the situation was too much for you to keep a straight face.
If there was a sight that Taehyung liked more than your naked body underneath his, it definitely was your face when you laughed. The way your eyes glinted with happiness and how your white teeth blinded him, the joyful sound of your laughter was the most wonderful melody for his ears and it never failed to make him laugh too.
Your cheerfulness was contagious, that’s one of things he loved the most about you.
Jimin shouted for help, Jin actually started shouting too but since you were too familiar with the chaos going on in there, you simply laughed more “GUYS, SHUT UP!” Taehyung suddenly exclaimed “GOD I’M TRYING TO GET SOME ACTION AND YOU’RE OUT THERE MURDERING EACH OTHER”
A sudden silence flooded the apartment, you simply buried your head into Taehyung’s neck to avoid laughing too loud. Your body shook underneath him and it all got worse when you got to hear the guys whisper-arguing with each other.
“If somebody else shouts one more time….Even Jungkook will be scared shitless of me” Taehyung threatened, you didn’t need to look up at him to know he was also fighting to keep himself serious, struggling to keep the laughter out of his voice so the guys wouldn’t think he was joking around.
“Can (Y/N) evaluate my new outf-”
“Jimin she’s fucking naked, do you think she can?”
“See!? You all get her attention but I don’t! It’s just not fair!”
At this point you were howling with laughter, unable to keep it in anymore as Jimin walked away, complaining about something else, totally forgetting about his outfit issue. Taehyung started laughing as soon as he heard his brother’s steps getting further, keeping his arms around your body as he buried his face against the pillow.
“Should I help him out?” You asked quietly, running your hands up and down his back as he started taking deep breaths, calming himself down before he ran out of breath after laughing so much “I kind of feel bad for him”
“Oh shut up, there’s a bigger problem here that you need to solve”
Without a warning, Taehyung subtly moved his hips against you, reminding you of the things you had been doing before another fight had unleashed outside of your bedroom. His switch had been flipped once again and he was back to business in no time. His hand slid underneath your shirt, running his big palm across your smooth stomach, fingertips caressing the hem of your bra.
“I can’t believe you even considered leaving me here, aaaaall alone, love” His kisses turned open-mouthed, playful licks wetting your skin while his teeth scratched it gently. With Taehyung doing all those things to you, it was pretty easy to quickly forget about Jimin and his problems, you’ll help him out when you weren’t that busy.
“I’m sorry” You apologized, almost breathless as he pulled your shirt up, getting rid of it and tossing it down onto the floor, sighing shakily when his hands moved up to cup both of your covered breasts.
“You better be” He said teasingly, winking at you, eyes moving down to his own hands that were already undoing the straps of your bra, willing to get you naked as soon as possible “If we had more time...You’re lucky I’m not willing to get the risk of getting interrupted again” Your heart started pounding harder when his lips left small, teasing kisses on your chest, inching closer and closer to your breasts.
However, before Taehyung’s hands touched them, giving in into your needy whimpers, he leaned back enough to be able to turn your body around, making you lay down on your stomach. Your insides melted when his warm breath caressed the back part of your neck, turning your skin into goosebumps, filling your body with anticipation.
“You’re such a tease” You groaned, giggling when he roughly pulled your pants and panties down until they were around your ankles, not discarding them completely. Taehyung gripped your hair, gently pulling it back so your face would be closer to his, allowing him to leave a couple of gentle pecks on your skin.
“You love it” He answered, lowering his crotch down against you, teeth biting down onto your neck, stealing a moan out of you.
“I hate it” You replied quietly, gripping the bed sheets when you heard the zip of his pants rolling down.
“Oh, you do?” You heard him smile, a shiver running down your spine knowing what was about to come “Let’s see how much you actually hate it”
Taehyung didn’t waste any more time in foreplay, he didn’t even take his own time to tease you and push his way in little by little like he always did. Maybe it was because Jimin’s interruption had really pissed him off or because your teasing had really worked him up, whatever it was, it prevented him from being gentle with you.
He slid himself into you easily, your wetness acting as lubricant, making it painless and much pleasant for him to thrust all the way in. The both of you moaned in unison, your voice way louder than his, when your inner walls clenched around him, trying to get more, pulling him in deeper but Taehyung knew he needed a few seconds before moving if he didn’t want to end this too fast. You felt one of his hands running up your back, arm slowly sliding around your neck as he pulled you back against him.
“Yeah, you do sound like you hate it so so much” He whispered huskily, a smirk still present in his lips as he left teasing kisses on your cheek that were far from innocent in this context.
You opened your mouth to say something, ready to give him another one of those smartass comments that he hated so much but Taehyung used his position to his advantage and started moving once again, keeping the words stuck in your throat, the only sound leaving your lips were moans and whines that gave away how much you were enjoying this.
“I’m sorry, what was that?” He asked, resting his forehead on your shoulder, hand coming back down onto the mattress so he wouldn’t lose his balance while moving.
There was nothing else you could do, Taehyung always won this battle between the two of you. With your head resting against his shoulder, you took what he gave you, body rocking upwards every single time his hips came back down to crash against yours. Swears left your lips, praises left his and multiple kisses were exchanged between the two of you.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and despite Taehyung being the human representation of Lust, he wasn’t gifted with endless stamina. You knew the two of you were about to jump over the edge when his thrusts started stuttering, when his pace became too fast and irregular, always hitting the right spots for you even though he had stopped thinking long ago to act on his instincts.
Your voices got more high pitched and his name became a mantra you repeated over and over again as the orgasm shook you to the core. Legs shaking and body tensing uncontrollably underneath him seconds before he went through the same blissful feeling.
As soon as he was done, Taehyung rested his whole weight onto you but you were too spaced out to even complain about it, smiling when his hair tickled you. “Still alive?” You asked jokingly, breathing in sync with him.
“Barely” He replied quietly, burying his face into your neck, placing small affectionate kisses on there. “Although, I think I have enough strength to make you mine one more time in the shower”
“I mean, I can’t really say no to th-”
“Are you guys done? I really need (Y/N)’s opinion!” Jimin’s whined were back and with that…
“JIMIN SHUT THE FUCK UP”
Jungkook’s fury too.

Zelda AU #2: The Triplets
Tumblr media
The sketch is rough at best, but Zelda is supposed to look like she does pre-calamity, Tetra looks like the girl from the BotW 2 trailer (because it is her, I might explain that later if anyone’s interested), and Sheik has his design from Smash Ultimate. This is really just my take on the twins AU which was originally created by someone else (rockingthegraveyard, I believe).
https://triforce-princess.tumblr.com/post/627266504652668928/this-is-awesome-your-brain-is-so-good
Anyways, I was thinking of what this might actually look like as a fleshed-out story, and I decided that Zelda’s twin could be named Tetra. And then I thought, “hey, we can’t leave Sheik out!” And so here we are. Basically, thanks to her siblings, Zelda is able to stop the calamity and (almost) everyone lives happily ever after. I don’t actually plan on writing this into a formal story so this is a long post where I just dump a lot of my ideas concerning the trio. I will not be writing this into a story, because I’ve never played BotW and I fear I would get everything wrong, but you’re welcome to! If someone ends up writing something based on this, I’d love to know so I can read it. I also have lots more ideas about this, so if you want more content (aside from this ridiculously long post), just ask!
Zelda is technically the oldest, although it hardly matters since they’re triplets. Thanks to this, she is arbitrarily the one who had all of the responsibilities heaped upon her. She’s pretty similar to how she appears in BotW, except Link isn’t even a potential love interest for her. He’s just her knight whom she’s gradually grown close to - as a friend.
Tetra is the middle child, and by far the most troublesome. She is outgoing, adventurous, brash, and basically everything you don’t want in a princess. King Rhoam tried to raise her to be proper, constantly reminding her that it was the hero’s (Link’s) duty to be the courageous one, not the princess. This often resulted in her running away and threatening to join the gerudo. She and Revali got along like a house on fire, often bonding over how overrated Link is. She absolutely hates Link, because to her, he represents not her failures, but the failures of her country and family. Why can’t a princess with no triforce be the hero as well? She makes no attempt to hide her distaste for him, although she might have changed her perspective a little if she realized that Link actually greatly admired her. It’s too bad that he was too scared of her to tell her himself. Speaking of being too scared to admit things, the one thing Tetra can’t bring herself to say aloud is that she has a huge crush on Princess Mipha.
Sheik is the little brother, known as the quiet one. Unlike his eldest sister, he knows how to fight, but hates doing so. He would much rather prefer to be exploring the lonely areas of the wild, or researching ancient tech with Zelda. He’s trans, and while his sisters support him and his father respects that, King Rhoam also saw that as an excuse to ignore him. After all, the legends never told of princes doing anything noteworthy. Thus, the king, and by extension almost everyone in Hyrule, more or less forgot about their quiet prince. The champions knew about him and were varying degrees of nice to him, especially Lady Urbosa, which was more than almost everyone he met could say. He didn’t mind it too much, and didn’t even realize that it was wrong until after his father was dead.
Link had a varied relationship with the triplets. Originally, both Zelda and Tetra despised him, because he reminded them of everything wrong in Hyrule - Zelda’s own self doubt, and Tetra’s failed attempts to become her own hero. Since his two sisters were always talking about how much they hated having this royal knight follow Zelda around, Sheik grew to dislike him as well, despite having never met in person. However, there was a time in the castle when Tetra practically kidnapped Zelda and whisked her away to an unknown location in Hyrule, sending everything into chaos. Sheik was pretty sure that they were both in on it and were simply trying to prove how well they could manage without Link, but they hadn’t informed him of their plan before they left, so he really had no idea. What he did know was that they left Link behind, and now the royal knight was panicking because he thought the king would blame him for letting his daughters vanish, and feared he’d be at the very least jailed.
Link, to his surprise, was not punished - the king was too busy cursing his own tomboyish daughter - but was sent to go find them alongside a team of Hyrulean soldiers. Not wanting to look useless, Sheik joined the quest. In their travels, Sheik discovered that Link was actually a lot like himself, just in completely different circumstances (and much more reckless, unfortunately), and the knight found that the prince was one of the few people who didn’t meet him with impossibly high expectations, for which he was thankful. They became fast friends, although since they both said an average of ten words a week combined, their friendship often looked more like them being present in the same room.
Much later, after both princesses had returned to the castle (“of our own accord,” Tetra had reminded everyone within earshot), the king doubled down on Zelda discovering her powers. She and her knight were rarely seen around the castle, always visiting springs and whatnot, while Zelda’s siblings were left at the castle doing... basically nothing. They were both training constantly for a battle that they were beginning to believe would never come.
Their seventeenth birthday started like any other day. They were at the castle while Zelda and her knight were off at another spring to pray, along with the champions. Then all hell broke loose. (Literally.) Something monstrous decided to rear its ugly head from under Hyrule Castle, and it took over the guardians to boot. Of course, both Tetra and Sheik became extremely concerned for their older sister, since she probably couldn’t fight a bokoblin, much less corrupted ancient technology. This, combined with the fact that the castle was probably the worst place to be right then, prompted the two to bolt into the field and find their sister. They had to fight guardians the entire way, and Sheik recieved a nasty injury, but kept denying how bad it really was.
Despite the storm, she wasn’t that hard to find, thanks to that explosion of what they guessed was her divine magic that had finally decided to say hello. They found her as opposed to the sheikah, but arrived on the scene a bit to late for the hero. He wasn’t dead (or was he?), or at the very least he could be saved/brought back, but he was clearly not about to help them fight. (Still, Sheik absolutely lost his mind when he saw the state Link was in, to the shock of his sisters. Neither of them knew he was close friends with the knight.)
Zelda quickly explained her plan to her siblings, where she would return the sword to the forest and face Ganon herself, to which Tetra said “hell no.” The Master Sword was right there! Hyrule needs saving, and the princess found herself to be a perfectly competent hero. The sword could be fixed. Somehow.
This part is where I’m a little on the fence about what happens. The sword’s health and power does seem to be tied to Link’s, as evidence by how it heals with him over 100 years and can only shoot sword beams when he’s at full health (I think), but since Tetra actually was worthy of wielding the sword, Fi could have been restored when she accepted the blade. Alternatively, Tetra and Sheik could have been the sages of earth and wind without realizing it, and we’re able to restore the sword on the fly. You get to decide how the sword repaired itself.
So now Tetra has roped herself into fighting Ganon with the Master Sword, Zelda by her side, while Sheik is losing his mind over what is basically the corpse of his closest friend. It’s at this time that Zelda realizes just how injured her brother is. She knows that he can’t fight the calamity like that, so she tasks him with taking Link to the Shrine of Resurrection, like Fi said. Initially, he refuses, but he soon decides that it’s all he can do and agrees.
The triplets go their separate ways. Somehow, the sisters are able to get to the castle very quickly, and start to challenge the Calamity. Zelda uses her new sealing powers to force him into a mortal form, while Tetra beats him up with her new weapon of choice. Ganon originally shrugs them off, more or less, but as they start to win he activates Panic Mode and summons all of his blights back to the sanctum to fight the sisters. Luckily, the blights were snatched right out of their battles with the champions, who were beaten and shaken but still alive.
However, thanks to his new allies, Ganon starts to win. Just when the princesses think they’re about to die, the divine beasts - which are under the control of the champions after the blights left - strike, finishing off the Calamity. Naturally Ganon has a few tricks up his sleeve and transforms into Dark Beast Ganon, moving to Hyrule Field. By Hylia’s (late) divine grace, Tetra and Zelda are teleported to the field as well, alongside Sheik, surprisingly. He’d just set Link up in the shrine before getting pulled here. Zelda is able to summon the Bow of Light, which becomes his weapon.
Together, the three of them are able to take out the dark beast. Zelda creates weak points, while Tetra and Sheik shoot them with Master Sword beams and light arrows, respectively. (Maybe Tetra DID die, but her health was restored by a fairy, or she’s at full health for some other reason.) So now Ganon is dead. Castle town is in shambles, and multiple people are dead, including the king. But don’t worry - Urbosa quickly makes herself the new parental figure of the triplets.
Hyrule is rebuilt. The people celebrate the defeat of the calamity, and the guardians are restored to their former abilities. Tetra becomes the new Champion of Hyrule Castle, wielding the Master Sword and the Sheikah Slate. For an extra happy ending, maybe she and Mipha formally become a couple. Sheik pioneers work on improving ancient and modern technology, showing a special interest in ways to reverse aging. After many years, Queen Zelda’s son, Daphnes Link Hyrule, becomes the ruler after her reign ends.
And so, the people of Hyrule live happily ever after.
... and 100 years later, Link wakes up.

Heaven’s High - Chapter One
idea courtesy of @beaniebabyrobbe
A crazy night out with friends and a harmless little prank on a doctor come together to match soulmates.
Sander didn’t mean to get so wasted after work. He never did, really. He was more the kind of guy to go home and draw pictures of the view from his window, maybe watch some TV or something, and maybe prepare a late-night snack. There was a television program on Discovery channel, Naked and Afraid, that came on almost every night. The concept of survival in remote locations fascinated Sander. He liked to enjoy an episode or two most nights before going to bed around one.
Contradictory to his bad-boy exterior, Sander disliked parties. He wouldn’t have been in the bar at all had it not been for his friends (and coworkers, but that part wasn’t as much of a factor). Théo and Céleste both had to deal with nasty clients in the tattoo parlor that day, and had enlisted Cas as their designated driver so they could get fucked up. Cas said fuck that and called Sander. Sander, technically speaking, was not allowed to drink, so he should have been the perfect match for the needs of the group. How he ended up knocking back another shot of vodka while Théo chanted in the background, he’d never know.
He did know, however, that it felt fucking awesome. So awesome, in fact, that Théo texted Sander’s roommates, Skyler and Michaël, to join in on the fun. Céleste ordered them all another round, and another thing became clear: there was no way he’d be able to drive Théo’s beat-up station wagon back to the apartment complex where they lived. No way in hell. Too bad.
“If we’re going to have to walk home,” Cas slurred, waving around half a gin and tonic, “I’m going to fucking kill you. Do you understand that, Driesen?”
In one sense, yes, Sander understood. In another sense, he found himself obsessed with the way condensation beaded on the outside of the glass in tiny droplets. He picked one at random and rooted for it to win as it trickled downward. Shit. Lost twice.
“Do you hear me?”
Yes, in one sense, Sander heard.
“These are new shoes. Can’t be… walkin’ and shit.”
Wasn’t that the purpose of owning shoes, though? Like, they were invented so that people could walk and shit on top of nasty stuff that would hurt their feet without them. Sander didn’t think he would wear shoes at all if they weren’t necessary.
“We’re gonna walk,” he assured Cas. They both finished their drinks.
Sander gazed across the bar. Though his vision was shaky and unstable, he could tell Michaël was sitting near the door. Things weren’t the same between them anymore, a reality he knew he would have to face at some point… but not today. Michaël spotted him staring and nodded; clearly, he wasn’t as drunk as Sander. Sander liked being drunk. It made him into more of himself than he got to be when his medication was stable. It allowed him to think about things that he actively pushed away when he was sober. Like Michaël.
Vodka recreated a picture of them underneath the strobing lights.
For every ten disjointed, garbled thoughts, he thought one thing coherently. The first coherent thought was: did I like him when I kissed him, or are all of my feelings fake? Without alcohol, the question would have killed him. With, he hardly noticed the sting.
Skyler gathered the group together with a wave of their hand. “I know another club. It’s getting boring here.”
Sander disagreed. The bar walls were full of paintings, photographs, and postcards, and the windowsills boasted a large array of antique beer bottles. There was plenty to stare at. He was coming up on the introspective stage of drinking where one calls their ex to ask what went wrong, and he didn’t want to waste it by walking to a club. The others overruled him.
“Hell yes!” Céleste yelled. “Train or bus?”
“Better not be a fucking dive bar,” said Théo.
What was wrong with dive bars? Besides the smell, and occasionally the food poisoning, Sander thought they were pretty great. He met his ex-girlfriend at a dive bar.
Michaël threw an arm over Cas’s shoulders. “So long as there’s dancing, I’m in.”
“New shoes!” Cas said, for no reason at all.
They scrambled out the front door. Sander concentrated everything into not tripping over his own feet as the world pitched and spun around him. The trees planted on the sidewalk swirled in technicolor circles. The stars streaked across the sky and mixed into the streetlights like running watercolor paints. It would make a really good photo.
He was unsure of the exact volume he’d consumed in the bar—the best estimate was a lot—and now it fought in his stomach to come back up. Skyler remedied this problem with a tiny flask they passed to the others. Sander managed to hold himself upright for a whole five blocks.
“So we’re headed to…?” prompted Céleste.
Skyler dismissed her with a wave of their hand. “It’s not much farther. All you drunks should be fine.”
“Debatable.” Cas looked at Sander.
Sander could feel the group’s eyes redirecting to him. At least that meant one of his senses was still intact. They all knew that he wasn’t allowed to be drinking, even though they were the ones passing him shots and flasks, and perhaps they felt guilty about it for a second. He didn’t so much care.
“I’m good,” he thought he said. He would later find that what came out of his mouth was closer to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture than an actual sentence.
The last thing Sander remembered from their night out was Skyler beside him, hand on his shoulder, asking, “Doesn’t lithium make you get drunk really, really quickly?” to which Sander replied, “Yes, it does.” After that, his memory faded into pretty much nothing. That was his favorite part.
*
He was in a curtained-off room, surrounded by Cas, Céleste, Théo, Michaël, and Skyler. His body felt like someone had filled it with cement, specifically his head. Prolonged ringing overtook his right ear before dissolving into a thrum in the back of his consciousness. He blinked a couple times. The sound dampened and disappeared.
Théo stood the closest to his bed. There was blood on his hands and in his dark, curly hair, worked into the spirals like hair gel. It would be stiff to the touch. Cas, Céleste, and Michaël engaged in a game of Uno on the floor, not that Sander could see the cards. When Théo saw Sander’s eyes were open, he laughed and clapped a hand on his bed railing… when did Sander get into a bed? Why did it have rails?
“Good morning, sleeping prince! I thought they were gonna have me for manslaughter.” It wasn’t a funny thing to say, but he appeared to think it hilarious. Still drunk, most likely. “No need to worry, we did your paperwork.” Everyone else snickered.
Footsteps sounded from close by. Cas whispered, “Oh fuck, you’re just in time, here he comes…”
A man entered through the curtains (considering the context, a doctor). To Sander, it hit like a slap in the face. He had never seen anyone so striking or memorable. This scene was what he pictured before he drew portraits of people he didn’t know and the feeling he felt when he painted places he’d never seen. The emotion hit him too fast to be real, he thought. He was around sixty percent sure that Théo was covered in blood because Théo had committed his murder and the man before his eyes was God Himself. That, or whatever the fuck he drank at the bar before had given him some serious rose-colored glasses. There was no way this man could be a real person.
He wasn’t ready to see something like that so soon after waking.
“I’m sorry,” said the doctor, immediately pulling a one-eighty to leave Sander’s curtained section. “Wrong room.”
Théo snickered. “Who are you looking for?”
“I’m not allowed to give names.”
“Could it be…” Théo dragged the reveal out like a drumroll. “…Sander Driesen?”
The doctor halted five steps away and turned back. His looks mesmerized Sander. He had short brown hair, messy in a sort of endearing way, concealed almost completely by a bandana covered in teddy bears holding lollipops. He wore pink scrubs patterned with the dogs from the hit children’s show Paw Patrol. Sander had spent enough time channel-surfing to know the dominant motif was Skye, the cockapoo. The earlier thought needed amending: he was ninety percent sure he was hallucinating.
“Is this…?” The doctor walked back through the curtain. He crossed to the bed and looked down at Sander’s bleeding forehead and the fresh-blossoming bruise. “Are you Sander Driesen?”
Sander, ever the romantic, could think of only one response. “You’re gorgeous.”
The doctor blushed slightly, but he didn’t let it stop him from launching into his speech. “Hello, Mr. Driesen. I’m Dr. Robbe Ijzermans. I am the pediatrician on call tonight, here to see if your brain is doing okay.” He said it all slowly, which was alright for Sander, who didn’t understand a word of it anyway. “Although, judging by this little stunt, I have determined you might not have one. You don’t look like a six-year-old.”
Skyler burst out laughing. They stopped when Céleste shot them a pointed look.
“I suppose you didn’t do the paperwork.”
Skyler stifled their giggles again.
“So,” Robbe continued, “Can you tell me where you are?”
Sander’s mind was a blank slate. All he could process was the fact that Robbe was now coming closer to him with a penlight ready to shine into his eyes. The doctor had brown eyes. There were freckles, faint as hell but definitely there, clustered close to the bridge of his nose. Sander’s vision blurred, cut in and out. He wondered how he could even hold a picture of Robbe’s face in his mind. And a burger would taste really good right now.
“Big white room,” said Sander.
“Where is this room located?”
Sander scanned the room, the bright lights overhead, and the cute guy in pink scrubs standing in front of him. “Heaven?” He made eye contact with Robbe. “Are you an angel?”
Now the rest of Sander’s coworkers dissolved into hysterics. Cas almost fell over, grabbing an IV pole for support. When it rolled, he went down with it. If Céleste had wanted to shut them up this time, a look would not have done it. Michaël, the least inebriated of the group, gave Robbe an apologetic shrug.
“You’re in the hospital,” Robbe said. His voice remained steady, though he’d blushed even deeper red. “Do you remember what happened to you?”
“Huh?”
“I kicked you in the head,” Théo supplied from the floor beside Cas, “and then you threw up and passed out on the sidewalk.”
What the fuck?
Robbe glowered at Théo. “You kicked him in the head?”
“We were at a bar.” Théo shrugged. “He fell over while dancing and I kicked him in the head.”
Now that they mentioned it, Sander’s head retained a ghost of an image. Michaël, under strobe lights again. Head connecting to concrete. In this lens, though, it all seemed like a caricature.
Robbe put his hands to his temples as if he’d never experienced stupidity at such a magnitude before. “Then he threw up on the sidewalk?”
“Yep.”
“And he passed out?”
“Yep.”
“Is that where the blood on your head came from?”
Théo brushed his fingertips over the scarlet crust adorning his forehead. “Oh, yeah. I leaned down to check if he was breathing, y’know?”
Huh, suddenly Sander felt nauseous… no, tired, really tired… time to take a little nap…
“Mr. Driesen,” said Robbe, jarring Sander back. “Do you remember any of that?”
Sander decided to intact some subtle flirting so the angel would let him sleep. “I’m in love with you.” Nailed it.
“No, Mr. Driesen, do you remember being kicked in the head?”
“Your eyes are pretty.”
“Mr. Driesen?”
Céleste held onto Sander’s bed railings to keep herself upright. “He’s not gonna know.” She pantomimed tilting a beer back.
“You use conditioner, don’t you?” said Sander, because it seemed like the natural direction of conversation.
“It’s not really my job to do this.” Robbe shined the light into Sander’s eyes. “Please follow the light for me with your eyes not your head.”
Sander stared him down and didn’t move an inch. “You don’t?”
“How does your tummy feel?” He was talking like he would with little children, going through the motions, Sander guessed. It was a good guess. He could be a very good guesser once the alcohol started to wear off. “Does your stomach hurt?”
Sander was too busy thinking about his guessing prowess to answer the question. The alcohol was not, in fact, wearing off.
Robbe took a step away from the bed, as if considering another test to determine the extent of injury. He thought better of it. “This isn’t my job. I’ll refer him through to the specialist. And you—” He stared daggers at Théo. “—should put the correct age on paperwork. Are we clear?”
“He acts like he’s six,” Théo offered.
“If something more pressing was wrong, mislabeling his age could lead to the hospital being under-prepared to treat the ailment.” Robbe’s eyes returned to meet Sander’s. Sander felt sparks travel through his fingertips… or maybe he was just cold. “Some symptoms mean more when in children than in adults, and you could have panicked an entire ward over a lesser problem.”
“If it was so bad,” Cas protested, “The guy at the nurses’ station would have shut us down! He let it through.”
Robbe, while maybe a little flushed, had kept everything together until that point. As soon as the words exited Cas’s mouth, he made a face like a key in his head had turned and everything had clicked. Without another word to Sander or his friends, he turned on his heel and stormed out of the hospital room.
“Jens!” Sander heard him yell. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
Sander’s coworkers burst into crazed laughter for the umpteenth time that night. When they recovered though, there was a wordless agreement that it was time to head back home and leave Sander with Michaël for the remainder of the tests, since they were roommates. He was glad for it; everything in his body wanted him to lay very still for the next three hundred and fifty years. The blankets were soft. His eyelids were heavy. There was blood on his face and a gash that someone would have to wake him up later to stitch. He had earned a good night’s rest by now.
One by one, they filed past the curtains. Sander was concussed, and maybe a little drunk, and the least credible source for information on body language. That said, he could have sworn that Michaël took his hand at some point when the new doctor came in.
No need to care about that. When he drifted off, he imagined kissing Robbe under strobe lights, even though he knew the infatuation would dissipate before morning.

Top Ten reasons to like Claude
Tumblr media
Ok, here's the thing I dislike Claude as a person he's slimy, manipulative, emotionally abusive, acts like a perverted creep and he killed Alois then stomped on his poor little heart. That being said he's a great antagonist he's so good in fact it seems the writers had to make him Ciel’s stupid stalker later on in the season and make him too easily defeated by Sebastian dispite the fact, Claude nearly killed him in their first  fight. Also i now I've said this before but i hate when people hate on Claude but then praise Sebastian. They both manipulated and planned the death of children. Claude smashed Alois's head open, but Sebastian stabbed Ciel once he realized serving him isn't beneficial to him anymore. If you prefer Sebastian fine, but stop acting like Sebastian is a pure selfless saint who never does anything wrong. So let's take a look at Claude's less badly written attributes
1 Hobbies Come how many demons can do origami, tap dance and sew. Claude has actual hobbies besides being a butler and their kind of interesting and cool. Honestly i wish we knew how he learned to make origami or how he learned how to do a Spanish Flamengo and who else thinks get getting Alois and Claude as dance partners would of been epic!
2. Goofball For all his stiff upper lip, extreme formality and annoyance and disgust at Alois's immaturity and antics. Claude can be a real goofball he does that weird thing with his glasses to entertain Alois in the OVA. He starts a food fight with Sebastian while they're preparing food for the masters. Then he even dancing around taunting Sebastian going " He saw you! He saw you!" I may dislike Claude x Alois as a romantic pairing, but i have to admit whenever I see flashes of this slightly more silly side of Claude, i can see how Alois might of fallen for him.
3. Patience I've got to admire how easily Claude puts up with everything in comparison to Sebastian. No matter what weird antics or shenanigans Alois gets up to. Claude just goes about his business as usual, even when Alois literary stretches his face into a smile. He continues to not only put up with it but to keep talking. He makes Alois try hard to even get the slightest reaction from him and honestly props to him for that, because as much as I love Alois it must be trying to actually live with someone who goes through constant mood swings, and you have to fight just so you can dress them every morning.
4 Rivalry with Sebastian These two are so petty toward each other two demons got into a food fight, i repeat a food fight! When they're not trying to out demon each other, they're trying to out butler each other. Its hysterical to watch! Claude’s always the one to throw the first taunt and piss the usually arrogant Sebastian off. Anyone who gets that kind of reaction out of Sebastian i can't help but like. Also Claude nearly sliced off Sebastian's head and trapped him in his web in the first half of the season. For the first time in a fight in Black Butler there's actually a stake. Sebastian is matched by an equally powerful and cunning opponent this should of been a bigger plot point then it was. In fact, I wanted to see more of their fights just because they were so childish and Sebastian wasn't guaranteed a win without working for it for once.
Tumblr media
5. Manipulative In a antagonist this is key and up until the end when he gets over confident. Claude skillfully played everyone on the chess board. He had Alois snared in his web codependent on him and cut off from everyone else both in the house and in London. According to an old writer roleplay Claude treated Alois like he mattered slowly reeling him in. He also tricked Sebastion by pretending to make a deal with him, that Alois would be sacrificed and they'd fight over ciel. When he wanted to eat them both the whole time. The smirk of smug triumph on Claude's face when he says " I'm afraid my rose decayed." implying he made the deal with a dying rose to make their demon pact not stick. He made Ciel think Alois's memories were his by shoving Alois's soul into his body and using a metal asylum to mess up Ciel's brain. Turned the kid against Sebastian and got him to order Sebastian to never see him again. Honestly he would of won if it wasn't for Hannah. So i have to admire his plan it was actually good as far as evil plans go.
Tumblr media
6. Claude is a screw up This may be a weird thing to like but i honestly find Sebastian too good at everything sometimes. Claude who leaves sauce on the plate, doesn't know how to comfort Alois without being creepy, who gets over confident and tells Alois the truth in the maze, when a lie would have helped him more, underestimates Hannah even though she threatened him over Alois's safety is just less perfect and i like that because perfect characters are boring and it's not interesting to see them go up against anyone.
7. Relationship with Alois This twisted dynamic kind of draws me in in fact i don't think we got enough interactions between these two or explored their obsessive relationship. Yana describes Alois feelings for Claude as "addiction" implying a toxic inability to quite Claude. The interesting thing is Claude seems just as addicted to him. At the end of the show Sebastian points out the smell that intoxicated Claude was Alois soul not Ciel’s. That and the OVA Spider's Intention and season 2 flashback suggest Claude finds Alois facinateing " The soul who dances in fire” Claude describes him as. And furthermore Claude is drawn not to Alois’s cruelty like you’d expect from a demon grooming a sinner but his passion. Even when Alois’s is shown crying over the butterfly he acidently killed Claude is fixated on him like he’s something, Claude can't quite figure out. At one point when Alois uses the truth of Luka death to deceive the priest and Alaster. Claude looks visibly surprised and when Alois decides to take Ciel from Sebastian to make the other demon suffer. Claude calls him “ magnificent” and there is a subtext of the two them scheming together rather than Claude just taking orders. There seems to be a kind of twisted intimacy there between predator and prey with these two and their roles constantly swap.
Tumblr media
8. His catchphrase People claim he stole it but that's ridiculous Sebastian says " I'm one hell of a Butler." Claude says "that's what makes a Trancy Butler." there's a huge difference. Actually I prefer Claude's catchphrase because it's never exactly the same. " Sugar into salt one moment" and Red into Blue the next." at least Claude keeps it interesting and it's never straightforward its almost a riddle that the viewer has to figure out his meaning.
9. Loyal in the end I'm still mad at him and annoyed all can give Alois is he was a worthy meal after all. I don't think it makes up for him screwing with Alois's head for all those years. However I can't help but notice even when he seemed to hate Alois, Claude never denied being a Trancy Butler it was part of his catchphrase. Actually as much as some fans swoon over how close Sebastian and Ciel are, Sebastion has never once defined himself as the Phantomhive Butler. His catchphrase puts the emphasis on how awesome he is while Claudes is a bit braggy as well, its implies to serve Alois to be a Trancy Butler is an honor. In fact Claude even dies saying " A stray dog into an Earl. " he even with his last breath still remains and is proud to call himself Alois's Butler.
10. Hints of discontentment . Claude mentions that he wanted excitement, something to ease the humdrum of a very long empty life with no purpose but devouring souls. This makes since as it hints Claude’s pursuit of Ciel had less to do with the boy himself and more to do with the fact he wanted danger, flash and a challenge even if it ended in his demise. In the end Claude acknowledges Alois brought excitement into his long boring life which was something he did not expect. This line implies Claude was as bored and apathetic as Hannah used to be and was looking to feel something as a demon through devouring and the thrill of the hunt because it never occured to Claude to try any other way. He's basically a demon haveing a mid life crisis, how can i not enjoy that?

he  doesn’t  care  what  happens  to  him  as  long  as  other  people  are  safe  .   he  cares  a  lot  about  people  ,   despite  his  cynicism  and  very  distrusting  nature  .
even  if  he  dislikes  you  ,   if  you’re  not  a  god  ,   he  will  always  be  well - mannered  and  very  calm  and  collected   (  unless  someone  gives  him  a  very  good  reason  not  to  be  ,   and  even  then  ,   he  can  and  will  light  your  ass  on  fire  very  collected  and  calmly  )  .   he  won’t  let  bad  people  stop  him  from  being  as  good  a  person  as  he  can  be  .
tbh  he’s  just  real  tired  ,   man  .   tired  and  kinda  sad  .   but  he’s  still  determined  af  and  refuses  to  let  the  gods  win  by  watching  him  fail  .
when  he’s  passionate  about  something  ,   it’s  easy  to  tell  .   he  actually  speaks  up  ,   even  if  it’s  soft  and  still  kinda  quiet  .   even  talking  about  the  gods  ,   his  voice  is  never  raised  unless  he’s  talking  directly  to  them  and  they  piss  him  off  /  upset  him  enough  .
he’s  not  fearless  ,   but  he’s  very  brave  and  always  faces  his  fears  .   unless  it’s  failure  to  save  someone  when  he  has  the  ability  to  save  them  .   if  that  happens  ,   he  WILL  die  .   he  already  blames  himself   (  partially  )   and  feels  like  he  could’ve  stopped  his  family’s  deaths  ,   and  that  will  always  weigh  heavy  on  him  .
he  is  very  good  at  taking  care  of  other  people  ,   but  he’s  not  the  best  at  taking  care  of  himself  ,   and  is  even  worse  as  letting  people  help  him  at  all  .
he  really  enjoys  flowers  and  plants  as  well  as  being  around  animals  .   he’s  VERY  good  with  animals  ,   and  you  know  how  ppl  say  they  have  strong  connections  with  animals  when  they  really  don’t  ?   he’s  one  of  the  ppl  that  doesn’t  say  it  but  it’s  actually  true  for  him  .
he’s  a  bartender  but  he  rarely  drinks  ,  himself  ,   yeehaw  !!
he  really  loves  to  write  ,   and  his  handwriting  has  no  business  being  as  pretty  and  legible  and  Nice  ‘n’  Neat  as  it  is  .   oh  and  he's  ambidextrous  but  uses  his  left  hand  for  most  things  ,   including  writing  !!
there’s  probably  a  lot  more  but  this  is  already  kinda  long  and  i  need  to  go  tf  to  sleep  so  !!   but  i  am  so  hyped  for  this  and  to  plot  and  write  with  you  all  !!!

Note
“Everyone thinks we’re already dating, but we’re just best friends- oh wait” or “arguments that lead to kissing/sex” for Tyson/Gabe!
or, and, same difference, right?
Gabe had been exactly six years, 4 hours, five minutes, and thirty-three seconds old when he met Tyson.
Tyson insists that there is no way he remembers the time down to the second, but he’s wrong about that--Gabe remembers looking at a clock when the neighbor kid his mom had invited to his birthday party knocked, and he knows what time it was. He thinks, sometimes, that he couldn’t not remember it--that it was the sort of moment that changed his life forever, and so of course it’s etched into his memory.
(”So that clearly means you love me more than I love you,” Tyson says, laughing at Gabe’s face. “Because I don’t remember exactly what time it was.”
Gabe looks at Tyson, sprawled out on his dorm room bed with the abandoned homework he’d brought with him for the weekend, with that expression on that’s half-mocking and half-challenging and all fond, and thinks, well, yeah.).
Anyway, what that boils down to, is that Gabe doesn’t really remember a time without Tyson next door, to play ball hockey or video games with or complain about their sisters or report back to him what next year’s going to be like from his vast extra experience of nine months. There is that dark year when Tyson’s in high school and Gabe’s still stuck in primary, but even that year, every day after Tyson comes home from practice he comes over and lets himself into the Landeskog house and throws himself onto Gabe’s bed to start talking about whatever Tyson’s topic of choice is that day, and Gabe grins at him and lets Tyson’s voice wash over him. Sometimes he thinks that’s what home is--Tyson’s voice in the background.
Then they’re both in high school, and that’s a lot better. Gabe had obviously already known most of Tyson’s friends, because they’re kind of a package deal with they hang out, so he sort of fits in with them immediately. Not that he doesn’t make his own friends, of course, but Tyson takes it for granted when Gabe follows him to his lunch table, when Gabe goes out for the hockey team, when he ends up trying out for the school play because Tyson thought it would be fun. It’s not that he’s just doing what Tyson does, he tells Bea, when she teases him for it; they’re things he’d want to do anyway so of course Tyson wants to do them too.
Gabe thinks he didn’t know dark years, though, until Tyson goes to college. That’s--it’s not like last time, when Gabe had known that he just had to wait out a year and he’d be with Tyson again, and Tyson was always there when he could be anyway. This was--Gabe hugging Tyson tight before he drove off with his parents.
“Don’t get too cool for me while I’m gone,” Tyson says, into Gabe’s shoulder.
“Get?” Gabe drawls, and he knows Tyson’s making a face by the sound he makes. But he’s also-- “I’ll call. We’ll text.” It maybe comes out a little desperate, but--he’s heard of what happens to friendships when colleges happen, how they slowly drift apart. He doesn’t think that’ll happen to them, but--Tyson’s Tyson, he’s all extroverted and friendly and likable and he makes friends with everyone, so of course he’s going to have a lot of college friends, and what if they make him forget Gabe?
“Who else will listen to my very important opinions about dessert?” Tyson asks, and Gabe snorts.
“You don’t have important opinions,” he says, and Tyson sticks out his tongue.
“Wow, see if I tell you anything about all the hot people I bone,” Tyson says, and now it’s Gabe’s turn to make a face.
“Please don’t,” he says. Tyson has a bad habit of oversharing about that too, because somehow despite being weird looking he has a lot of success talking people into bed with him. Gabe’s had plenty of luck with girls, it’s true, but he doesn’t tell Tyson the play by play. Usually.
“You love me and my oversharing,” Tyson says, confident, and Gabe can’t help but smile.
“Maybe I do,” he admits, partly because he means it and partly because it makes Tyson flush.
“Whatever. I’m going to go to college and make so many better friends who don’t make fun of me,” he warns, which is like, kind of Gabe’s worst nightmare, and that must show in his face, because Tyson’s hand comes up, around Gabe’s neck.
“Come on. Who else would put up with me?” he asks, low, and Gabe knows the answer--a lot of people would, because people like Tyson, because it’s not putting up with Tyson when Tyson’s so great, because Tyson makes everything easier and people notice that too. But--
“That’s why you need me,” he says, and holds Tyson tighter for a moment until Tyson’s dad calls that they need to go.
That last year of high school is fine--it proves to Bea that he really can be somewhere without Tyson, which is good when it becomes pretty clear that they’re not going to end up at the same school, no matter how much Tyson shows off his campus and parties and friends when Gabe comes to visit. All of that seems cool, including the friends, who greet him with, “Oh, you’re Gabe,” in a way that makes Tyson flush, which makes Gabe grin and feel something dark and satisfied in his gut. But his school also doesn’t have the programs Gabe wants even a little, and when he considers compromising on that everyone from Bea to his parents to his guidance counselor to Tyson himself take him to task.
“Don’t be an idiot,” Tyson tells him over Facetime, looking about as stern as he can look while also doing something that looks like he’s hanging upside down over the edge of his bed. “You can’t just give up on being a doctor.”
Gabe knows, he does, but--”You don’t want me at the same school?” he asks, and he hates how it comes out making him sound young. He’s barely younger than Tyson, it shouldn’t sound like that.
Tyson snorts. “Of course I do. But not if it means you’re giving up on a dream you’ve had since you were what, ten? I’m not worth that.”
Gabe thinks about the constant, unwavering support and belief from Tyson, the way he can make Gabe laugh no matter what, the way he gets what Gabe needs without a word. “You are.”
Tyson smiles, clearly pleased even if he won’t say it. “Well, I mean, clearly I am worth the best always. But how are you supposed to support me when I’m a starving artist if you don’t go to med school and start making that doctor money?”
Gabe snorts, despite himself. Tyson swings himself so that Gabe thinks he’s actually upright now. “It’s only a couple years, and we can visit whenever,” Tyson says, a little softer. “Don’t be an idiot about it.”
“Yeah,” Gabe sighs. He knows, he does, he just--he wants it to be like it was when they were kids and inseparable.
Then there’s the sound of a door opening, and “Yo, Barrie!” comes a yell, “Beer pong tournament, you coming?”
“I’m on the phone, Schenner!” Tyson yells back.
“Well tell Landeskog that you’ve got to go, it’s time to party!” Then there’s some jostling and Luke Schenn’s face comes into view. “Hey, Landy. Tell your boyfriend that it’s beer pong time.”
Gabe doesn’t react to that joke, which apparently started when he came to visit and someone told him that Tyson talked about him like a boyfriend. They just can’t get two platonic friends, Tyson had said, despite how red he was, and Gabe agrees. “Hey, Schenner,” he tells him, then, to Tyson, “I hear it’s beer pong time?”
“I mean, I do have a title to defend,” Tyson admits, with a wry grin. “You okay if I go?”
No. Gabe wants to keep Tyson on the phone with him, reassuring him that he’s making the right choice, that nothing between them will change. But Tyson’s chewing on his lower lip, looking hopeful and excited, and glancing sidelong at Luke, and so Gabe makes himself smile. “Yeah, go on. I’ll talk to you later.”
“Woo!” Luke cheers, punches Tyson in the shoulder. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he behaves,” he tells Gabe, fending off Tyson’s punch for that. “We’ll return him in one piece.”
“No one’ll find you in one piece,” Tyson mutters, but he’s laughing. “Okay, bye, Gabe!” he says, then hangs up. Gabe swallows down his own goodbye. Tyson is having fun and that’s good, he tells himself. Next year he’ll have fun at his own college.
He does, too. He knows he made the right call, going to university a few hours away from both home and Tyson; he makes friends and has girlfriends and learns a lot. And like Tyson promised, they still call each other, and visit enough that Gabe’s roommate calls Tyson their third roommate, and it’s all good, Gabe thinks. He has classes and his friends and girlfriends and Tyson, and Bea’s not far away either, and that’s what he needs.
Then Gabe’s worst nightmare happens, or so it feels. The first indication of it is that a guy starts showing up in Tyson’s story more, some super-talented freshman. Tyson’s got a lot of friends, though, so Gabe doesn’t think anything of it until he’s Facetiming Tyson one evening and one of his friends calls, mostly teasing when Tyson was kicking him out, if Gabe knew he was being replaced as number one in Tyson’s heart. Tyson denies it, of course, but Gabe starts paying attention after that.
He doesn’t like this Nate Mackinnon character, he decides very quickly. It seems like he encourages all of Tyson’s worst impulses, the parts of him that do stupid shit because he has very little impulse control. And he’s so young, he probably makes Tyson take care of him. That’s probably all he cares about Tyson for.
Maybe that last bit isn’t true, he thinks when he comes to visit next, and he actually meets Nate. Nate’s clearly--he’s a big blonde puppy of a guy, who clearly thinks Tyson’s awesome, which Gabe can’t exactly deny, and that Tyson’s cool, which Gabe will deny to his last breath. It’s just impossible to dislike Nate in person, because he’s friendly and seems to be trying hard to get Gabe to like him and is breathtakingly good at hockey.
Still, Gabe can’t and doesn’t really try to stop how he’s touchier with Tyson when Nate’s around, how he tugs him close and makes sure to bring up all their over ten years of inside jokes and all the ways he takes care of Tyson, that Tyson needs him. He thinks he’s getting away with it, except then they go to bed and Tyson stares him down from where he’s sitting cross-legged on the bed.
“What?” Gabe asks, as he strips down to his boxers to sleep.
“You’re being a dick to Nate.”
“I am not.” Gabe’s being very polite, he thinks. Given that he’s trying to steal Gabe’s best friend.
“I know what you look like when you’re pretending you aren’t being a dick but you really are,” Tyson argues, and he’s got that set look on from when he’s digging in his heels. “What gives?”
“Nothing gives,” Gabe tells him, and sits down opposite him on the bed. They’ll blow up the air mattress at some point, or they won’t and they’ll crash in the same bed, which was a lot more practical when they were both ten, but Gabe can’t say he minds having another warm body in his bed.
“Oh, something gives. You are the giving tree of somethings, Gabriel,” Tyson retorts, and Gabe snorts and rolls his eyes. Tyson pokes at his leg with his toe. “Come on. Talk to me, or I’ll keep asking until you do and you’re in a bad mood. We both know how this ends.”
Gabe does, is the thing. He sighs. “I just...I’m your best friend,” he mutters, looking down at the bedspread. He’d been with Tyson on the Bed, Bath, and Beyond trip that acquired it, when Tyson and his mom had been doing all the pre-college dorm room shopping.
He doesn’t have to look up to know that Tyson’s smiling, maybe even smirking. “Aw, do you feel like you’re being replaced? Are you feeling threatened, Landy?” Gabe doesn’t say anything. Tyson pokes him again. “Come on. Nate’s awesome, but you and me are forever. We’ve shared a bath, you can’t get rid of me now.”
“That sounds really weird when you say it like that,” Gabe complains, but he can feel himself smiling again, at the sentiment if not how it’s expressed.
“Whatever, you need to stop being a dick to Nate,” Tyson tells him. “He was really excited to meet you, I’ve talked you up so much. Don’t disappoint him. You don’t want to see his disappointed face, it’s lethal. Also, he’s great and you’d really like him if you gave him a chance.”
Gabe sighs and looks up at Tyson, and like he’d known would happen, it’s decided. Nate’s disappointed face might be lethal (he’d later learn that was true), but Gabe’s been incapable of standing up to Tyson’s hopeful smile for ten years. “Fine,” he mutters, and Tyson grins, and kicks Gabe again.
“Good. Now that you’re done being stupid, can we go to sleep? I am wiped.”
“I wasn’t being stupid,” Gabe retorts, but he does go to blow up the air mattress.
It’s only later, when it’s all dark but Gabe knows by the sound of Tyson’s breathing that he’s still awake, that he says, quiet, “You know you’re my best friend, right?” It’s--best friend isn’t enough, he thinks. Tyson’s the most important person in his life, in so many ways. But best friend are the words they’ve put to it.
“Yeah, love you too, bud,” Tyson mumbles, and rolls over. “Now go to sleep.”
Gabe does. He also does make an effort with Nate, after that, and can admit that he is actually pretty cool, maybe. Especially when it becomes pretty clear that Tyson’s not replacing him with Nate; once Tyson introduces them with “this is my best friend and this is my...Gabe,” which Gabe likes.
Gabe doesn’t choose his med school based on where Tyson moves after college, but it is maybe an influence, and this time he won’t let anyone tell him no. It’s a good school, anyway, it’s not like he’s compromising, and he’s done with the whole long distance Tysoning thing. He wants to be in the same place as Tyson again.
He ends up being even closer than that--Tyson’s roommate ends up moving in with her girlfriend about when Gabe graduates, and when Tyson’s complaining about how hard it is to find a new roommate Gabe does the reasonable thing and suggests that he just move in.
It’s--Gabe hasn’t been this close to Tyson since he was seventeen, and he’s never lived with him. On the one hand, it’s great. There’s no one he loves or knows more than Tyson, and now he’s there all the time, to distract Gabe when he’s stressed about work and to remind him there’s a world outside and to tell him he can do it whenever he needs it and to cook for him because that’s how Tyson deals with his own stress. On the other hand, he’s is learning new things about Tyson, now that they’re staying together for longer than a weekend, like that Tyson gets pissy when Gabe doesn’t pick up after himself, and that Tyson sets ten different alarms at five minute intervals so there is no way for Gabe to sleep in past him if he wants to, and that the fact that they can’t agree on music means that they’re in a constant battle for the bluetooth speakers.
Also, that Tyson hooks up. Gabe--hadn’t known that, really. He never had, when Gabe was over for the weekend; he’d never actually told Gabe about that, after he’d left for college. Gabe had assumed he hooked up sometimes, because like, it was Tyson, obviously he could hook up if he wants to, but he hadn’t quite realized the...frequency.
Oh, he’s not impolite about it--he always warns Gabe first and it’s never before Gabe has a big test or anything and nothing ever happens in public spaces that Gabe can see, but Gabe sees it starting, sometimes, when they’re out together and Tyson turns his flirt up to eleven (from its normal setting of probably around an eight) and disappears from the table. And he sees the end of it, because he’s definitely seen guys and girls at the table the next morning, eating the breakfast Tyson’s making, because of course he’s the sort of guy who’d feed his hook ups breakfast. Gabe’s even chatted with quite a few of them, because if Tyson’s making breakfast obviously he’s going to have some too if he has time, and they’re all pretty cool. Gabe’s not surprised--Tyson’s always had good, if too generous, taste in friends. Which extends to hook ups.
There are a few repeats, but no one steady enough that Gabe learns more about them than their name. It’s fine; if that’s how Tyson wants to live his life Gabe’s okay with it, even if he kind of thinks that maybe it would be safer for Tyson to have some stability. Tyson snorts when he says that, makes fun of him for being such a med student, and ignores him other than that. Which is fair, Gabe guesses.
Gabe does not hook up, really. He doesn’t have time, is mainly the issue, then he gets a girlfriend. That’s a bit of a grey cloud, actually; he likes her a lot, but she doesn’t get on with Tyson.
“Excuse me for not wanting to make nice with your boyfriend,” she says, when Gabe brings it up, and Gabe rolls his eyes, because if he’s heard that joke once, he’s heard it a thousand times.
“He’s my best friend.”
“He’s really not,” she says. They stay together for a little longer, but then they break up and Tyson makes him his favorite chocolate cake and they watch stupid action movies and Gabe’s okay with it.
Then Nate graduates and, as a stop gap measure while he figures out what he wants to do, ends up on their couch. Gabe’s fine with that, really. He likes Nate on his own and he likes how he likes Tyson, so he’s okay with it. Nate gets a girlfriend pretty quickly, anyway, so his time on their couch is cut down by life half. Gabe gets another girlfriend not long after that, so then Tyson’s the only single person left in the apartment.
“We need to fix that,” he says, throwing an arm over Tyson, one night when the three of them are actually all back. Gabe’s got a late start on his rotation in dermatology tomorrow, so he can actually hang out late and not feel guilty. “Get you a girlfriend too. Or a boyfriend. Share in the wealth.”
Tyson snorts. “What would I know to do with a relationship?” he asks, in that self-deprecating tone that means he’s the wrong side of wine drunk. “My longest relationship’s lasted like, a week.”
“You’ve had relationships?” Gabe demands. He hadn’t heard about any of them. “And you didn’t--”
“They never even lasted long enough to say anything to you about,” Tyson cuts him off, but he knew exactly what Gabe was going to say anyway, which makes Gabe smile a little, give Tyson a one-armed hug. “So, yeah. I’ll stick with the casual sex, thanks.”
“No, you shouldn’t--you deserve a relationship,” Gabe tells him. Tyson deserves the world, and Gabe would give it to him, if he could. “You’re a catch.”
“Forgive me if I don’t believe mister viking god over there to judge who’s a catch or not.” Tyson smacks his leg. “You’re too pretty to understand things like this.” Gabe makes a face. He’s never quite sure how he feels when Tyson says things like that.
“Anyway,” Tyson goes on, “Let’s talk about something other than my single-ness. Nate, how’s the job search going?”
“Low blow,” Nate throws at him, and Tyson laughs, turning so he’s more settled against Gabe.
Tyson ends up going to bed first, because he’d drunk more than Nate or Gabe and because he’s the only one with work tomorrow. Once he’s gone, Gabe turns to Nate.
“We really do need to get him a relationship,” he says. If Tyson wants a relationship, he should have one. “I don’t get why he’s never had one, he really is a catch.” Nate snorts. “What?”
Nate makes a face like he can’t decide if he’s going to say anything, but then, “Look, do you want to know why Tyson’s never had a relationship?”
Gabe bristles at the idea that Nate knows Tyson better than him. “Yes, enlighten me,” he drawls, as condescending as he can make it.
“It’s because he uses all his emotional energy on you.”
Gabe rolls his eyes. “Yeah, he’s my boyfriend, such an original joke.”
“It’s not a joke.” Nate leans forward, intent. “Do you know how long it took for me to figure out that you weren’t boyfriends in some sort of open relationship for college? I’m pretty sure there are people at school who never figured that out.”
“Whatever, we’re close--”
“It’s not whatever.” Nate shakes his head. “I wasn’t going to say anything, but--it is really not fair what you do to him.”
“What I do to him?” Gabe echoes. His fists are clenching on his lap. Where the hell does Nate get off, telling him anything about his relationship with Tyson?
“Yeah. You’re straight, you’re not into him, you won’t ever be into him, but you still keep him on the hook.”
“Tyson isn’t pining for me.”
“No, because Tys isn’t into hopeless causes, but--” Nate huffs out a breath. “But you still do everything a boyfriend would, other than sex. You still ask everything of him a boyfriend would. And no, it’s not fair to Tyson, because he can’t get into a relationship while you’re there, taking up all that space.”
“I’ve managed to have girlfriends--”
“Because Tys asks less of you,” Nate retorts, and Gabe digs his nails into his palms. The way Nate says it, it sounds like--it sounds like they’re in some sort of predatory unequal relationship, where Gabe takes and takes and doesn’t give as much to Tyson, where Gabe’s keeping Tyson from something because he wants him all to himself, and he doesn’t--that’s not their friendship. They’re best friends, they always have been.
“Look.” Nate sighs. “I’m not trying to--like, downplay your friendship, or whatever. I know you care about him. But so do I, and it just--if this was actually a queerplatonic relationship or whatever, that’d be one thing, but it isn’t, I don’t think, and--I want him to be happy.”
“He is happy,” Gabe protests. He knows that. He does.
“Yeah, but--” Nate shakes his head, shrugs a little. “Like, he doesn’t really want to hook up forever, but as long as you’re there... I dunno.”
“He is happy,” Gabe repeats, and gets up. He knows that. He has to. Nate doesn’t say anything to it, but he doesn’t have to.
It sticks with Gabe, even after they wake up the next morning and Nate gives Gabe a sort of apologetic shrug that Gabe doesn’t quite accept but doesn’t make it weird, either. He keeps thinking about it. Looking at what he does with Tyson.
And, slowly, he realizes--Nate might be right. He does ask a lot of Tyson, and he always knew that, but now he sees the shape of it, and it is kind of...boyfriendy. The texts, the domesticity, the need for support. How Tyson’s his first thought of a person to text when something happens to him, how maybe he gets sulky when Tyson takes too long to write back. How he has a girlfriend, but he still goes to Tyson when something goes wrong at the hospital, when Bea’s having issues and needs talking them out, when he’s just feeling shitty.
It’s kind of awful, seeing this mirror held up to their relationship. To their friendship. Because Gabe does want Tyson to have everything he wants, and maybe Nate’s right. Maybe Tyson can’t have a relationship when Gabe’s so close. Maybe Gabe does ask too much of Tyson. He remembers all those times when Tyson was ahead of him, in high school or in college, and Gabe called him all the time, needed him more. He’s always kind of been afraid of that, that he needed Tyson more than Tyson needed him, but if even Nate’s noticed...
But Gabe knows what he needs to do to fix it. He can be a good person, can give Tyson what he needs. Tyson is a catch, he’s cute as anything and he’d be a great boyfriend and from what Gabe’s heard through the wall he’s great in bed, if not quiet, so if it’s just Gabe stopping that--well.
“I need to move out,” Gabe tells him. He thinks he manages to sound firm, not like it feels like each word is scraping his throat.
“What?” Tyson turns, the bowl he’s whisking still in his arms. His face is a little red and his hair’s got flour in it and whisking shows off his arms to their best and Gabe loves him, a lot. Enough to do this. “I was joking about the dishes. Or, I mean, I wasn’t, you really do need to do them before they pile up because it’s gross and I’ve told you that a thousand times, but I didn’t actually mean I’d kick you out.”
“I know.” Gabe steels himself, then, “I still need to move out.”
“Why?” Tyson blinks. “What’s up?”
“Nothing, it’s just time.”
“Bullshit, we were fine like a week ago. What happened?” Tyson puts the bowl down. “Talk to me and we’ll figure out why you’re being weird, and then it’ll be okay.”
“I’m not being weird, I just need to.”
“You’re always weird, Gabriel,” Tyson tells him, and Gabe snorts.
“You’re one to talk.”
“Exactly, I’m the expert. So what’s up this time?”
“I--” Gabe maybe shouldn’t, but Tyson’s who he talks things out with. He needs Tyson for that. “Do you ever think we’re too close?”
“Looks like there’s a good space between us.”
Gabe rolls his eyes. “Tys.”
“I don’t know, we’re close. Who cares?”
“I do.” Tyson’s eyebrows go up. “It’s--I think that we’re so close it’s stopping us, well, you, from like, growing and doing, um, other things, so--”
“What the fuck, Gabe?” Tyson doesn’t look like he’s laughing anymore. He looks like he’s looked in their few real fights, or when he actually buckles down into something serious--the usual hint of a smile in the corners of his mouths and eyes gone.
“You’ve never been in a relationship,” Gabe gets out. “And it’s not because of you, you’re a great boyfriend. Which I know, because I guess you’ve been, like. Sort of acting as mine for the last twenty years.”
“First of all, we met when we were six, gross. Second--you’re not my boyfriend, you’re straight. And you’re my best friend.”
“I know, but--we aren’t, really,” Gabe tries to remember what Nate had said, what he’d noticed. It’s really hard, in the face of Tyson’s angry face. “Nate’s a best friend. We’re--something else. And I don’t want that to stop you from being happy.”
“What, so because I’m into guys I must be in love with you?” Tyson snorts. “Classy, Landeskog. Pulling a promiscuous bisexual stereotype.”
“No, I don’t think you--I think you’re using all your emotional energy on me, and that’s stopping you from doing it with someone else.”
“And now you’re telling me to stop.” Tyson’s arms cross in front of his chest. Looking at that is easier than looking at his face. “Because you’ve decided that’s what’s best for me.”
“I’m doing it because you’d never,” Gabe gets out, because he knows that’s true.
“Because I’m in love with you? Because sorry, bud, you’re hot but it’s not--”
“Because you’re too nice!” Gabe bursts out with, before Tyson keeps on throwing that at him. “You wouldn’t, Tys, not as long as I kept asking things of you, because you always--you give me things, and you don’t ask nearly as much of me, but I can give you this much.”
Tyson’s eyes narrow even further. “You’ve been talking to Nate.”
“Yes, but I wouldn’t do this if it wasn’t true. It wouldn’t matter if it wasn’t true, but it is, so--I’m moving out.”
“No you’re not!”
“Yes I am!”
“Don’t be a fucking idiot!” Tyson snaps back at him. “Whatever, we’re close, I spend a lot of emotional energy or what the fuck ever on you. I’m an adult and I can choose that. I’m not like, dying for a relationship over here, Gabe! I’m not pining away after you or anyone else, I don’t care--”
“I do!” Gabe’s voice is getting louder. “You’re--you’re hot and funny and smart and comfortable and fun and a good cook and you’ve got so much love to give and you should give that to someone who’ll love you back!”
“Then why don’t you just date me? You love me back,” Tyson throws at him, like a dare, like all the stuff Gabe’s been thinking, and Gabe’s moving before he thinks of it. He takes two steps across the room, grabs Tyson’s cross arms, then yanks him towards Tyson into a kiss. Tyson’s stiff under his hands, and Gabe holds it just long enough to make a point before he lets go.
“Because--because that’s not what it should be,” he says. Tyson’s eyes are wide and his mouth’s gaped a little open and it looks like, for a second, he forgets to be mad. “Because you deserve the world, and this is what I can give you.”
“Fine.” Tyson’s tone is clipped and his eyes are narrowed, but Gabe knows him, and he can hear the tremor in his voice, the way his fists are clenched because they’ll be shaking if he lets them go. “Fucking go. If that’s what you think is best.”
“It is,” Gabe says, and tries to make it a statement, but it turns into a plea, so Tyson will understand. So he’ll keep Tyson in some way. Tyson doesn’t say anything back.
So he moves out. One of his med school classmates has a spare room for him to crash in, and he knows Tyson’s schedule well enough that he can get his stuff out of there when Tyson’s not home. The furniture is all Tyson’s anyway; he’d gotten it when he moved in and Gabe hadn’t been attached to any of his stuff so he’d sold it. So it’s easy enough to remove himself from the apartment.
Then--that’s it. He’s gone. He should maybe have taken a cue, he thinks, from how many of his classmates actually give him their sympathies about how he and his boyfriend broke up, no irony in it.
It feels like a breakup. It feels worse than any break up Gabe’s ever had. It feels like something vital is missing, and Gabe wants to fix it by calling Tyson, but he can’t because he’s giving them distance. He knows from Nate that Tyson’s alive, because he gave in that much, but he won’t do more.
He can’t stop thinking about it, though. Maybe he should have done the leaving better. He probably shouldn’t have kissed Tyson, he thinks, late at night lying in his bed. That was--not cool of him, probably. He doesn’t actually think Tyson’s into him, but even so.
It’s not technically the first time Gabe’s kissed a guy. There were a few, in college, when he was figuring stuff out. It’s not even technically the first time Gabe’s kissed Tyson, because apparently spin the bottle had still been a thing in their high school. This kiss had sort of felt like one of those. Except then it had usually been both of them laughing into the kiss, their friends whooping at them to ‘get it’ in the background, and Tyson was smiling when it was done, and usually ended up leaning back on Gabe anyway. This one-obviously it was ten years later, but he’d been stiff, too. Surprised, but holding back.
If he hadn’t been--Gabe had seen Tyson kiss and be kissed, over the years. He knows he’s good at it. He’s heard the reviews, both while it’s happening and after the fact. If Tyson had been into it, if he hadn’t been surprised, maybe, he’d have grabbed Gabe back. They wouldn’t have needed to talk, because they know each other too well, and they’d have figured this out too, and--
None of which matters. Because that wasn’t what happened. And also, Gabe wasn’t into that.
He reminds himself of that, the next night, when he’s thinking about that again. He’s straight. He’s not into guys. It’s not some sort of defensive heterosexual panicking, either; he’d done his questioning and experimenting, but--he remembers being thirteen and Tyson throwing out, in between talking about video games and the hockey game tomorrow, that he was bi. Somewhere along the lines in the conversation, he’d asked how Tyson had known, and Tyson had shrugged. “I always knew, I guess,” he’d said. “It was just--there.” And it definitely hadn’t been for Gabe. So, like. He had been pretty sure.
But he can’t stop thinking about Tyson’s lips on his. Just that brief moment. But it’s not like--he’s slept in the same bed as Tyson, they’ve done something that Gabe stopped pretending wasn’t cuddling; Gabe knows what it feels like, to have Tyson pressed against him, all warmth and laughter. There’s definitely laughter, when Tyson sleeps with people. Gabe’s heard that. Laughter, and these little sounds, that Gabe’s also heard, words that Gabe couldn’t quite make out and low pleased rumbles that Gabe definitely could.
Maybe, Gabe has to think. Maybe it’s not normal, to have listened quite that closely to his best friend having sex. It’s almost definitely not normal, to think that much about kissing his best friend.
Gabe does his homework. He looks at other guys, tries to think about it--twenty-five isn’t that old to be figuring out his sexuality, he thinks, though if it really is a thing Tyson’s definitely never going to let him hear the end of it. If Tyson ever talks to him again. And like, maybe there’s something. Maybe, if he looks at a hot guy, he feels something, but--but also he does, reluctantly, notice that it’s mainly there when the hot guy are stocky brunettes with curly hair and brown eyes and charmingly boyish smiles. Not that there are many of those around. Or none of the rest of them measure up to Tyson.
He breaks up with his girlfriend, a few weeks PT--Post Tyson. He’s not really sure who does the dumping; it starts as a conversation about their relationship and then sort of devolves, and he thinks they’re both relieved when it’s done. “You’ve been miserable anyway,” she tells him, “And I’m not the one who can help. You need to talk to him, Gabe.”
Which, like. Right. Gabe probably should. If only because it’s almost Christmas and they usually go home for that, and they need to figure out if they’re carpooling or what. But--if Gabe talks to Tyson, he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to leave again, and he’s still not sure. Of anything. Not that it matters, because even if he was into Tyson, Tyson’s not into him. He made that very clear.
Gabe could probably convince him, though, he can’t help but think, on another sleepless night, where he really needs to get to sleep because he’s doing his rotation in the ER and so sleep is a precious commodity. He knows how to make Tyson happy, and he may never have slept with a guy before but he thinks he could figure it out. He knows what he likes, and he can extrapolate from there. He thinks about it more, closes his eyes. Lets his hands wander, his imagination roam, and--yeah. He could figure it out. But if he’s wrong, and that hurts Tyson, he can’t...
Gabe honestly doesn’t know how long he’d be stuck in that circularity, but then the next day when he’s just getting off from his rounds, Tiffany, one of the other med students, taps him on the shoulder as she sits down next to him. “Hey, I thought you might want to know--your ex is here.”
“No kidding, her shift is starting.”
“Not her. Your ex-boyfriend.” Gabe’s hand clenches. “I just saw him in a room as I was leaving the ER, he’s--”
“Where?” Gabe demands, and he doesn’t recognize his voice.
“Room 145, but he was sitting up, I don’t think--” Gabe doesn’t hear the rest of her sentence, because he’s already gone. It’s a good thing he knows the hospital so well by now, because he wouldn’t make it to the room anyway, in the haze he’s in, but somehow--he gets there just as the doctor is letting himself out of the room.
“Oh, Gabe,” the doctor says with a smile. “Do you need something?”
“Yeah--I mean, no, just--he’s my friend, I think, in there, and--” Gabe swallows. “Is everything okay?”
He gets the wry smile that he knows means HIPPA prevents her from saying anything. “I’ll ask if he minds if you go in,” she says though, and Gabe smiles his thanks as she sticks her head back in. She steps back out, a second later. “You’re okay,” she says, and then pats his arm. “He’ll be fine,” she says, comforting. The fact that she thinks he needs that comfort is less comforting, but Gabe feels like his heart’s beating out his skin every second he’s out here instead of with Tyson, so maybe he just looks that bad. Or maybe it is that bad in there, he doesn’t--
He thank the doctor, then goes in.
Tyson’s sitting on the table, his leg out in front of him. His jeans have clearly been cut off right on the thigh of one of his legs, and all Gabe can see there is the blood staining what hasn’t been cut off. He hasn’t been nauseous around blood for years, but now he thinks he might faint.
"Should have known you’d show up,” Tyson says, wry, and Gabe--fuck. He glares.
“What the hell happened?” he demands. He reaches for the chart, looks at Tyson, who shrugs and nods, then picks it up. he’s not like, great at reading charts yet, but he can see the number of stitches that just happened pretty easily. “Are you okay? What--”
“There was a small wrestling incident,” Nate says, and Gabe notices him for the first time, sitting in a chair in the corner. His face is whiter than Tyson’s. Gabe can’t really bother looking at him for long, because he’s just looking at Tyson.
“He suplexed me into a vase,” Tyson says, and he’s definitely on something because Gabe knows his high voice, but also because if he wasn’t he’d definitely have made more of a joke out of that. As it is, Gabe whirls to glare at Nate, who lifts up his hands.
“I know! It’s not as bad as it sounds, it was just--I didn’t--he’s okay!” Nate yelps, backing off. “The doctor says he’s fine, he’ll be on crutches for a while but it’s fine, that’s--I’m going to get some coffee!” he finishes, and leaves the room, because he’s a coward. Gabe turns back to Tyson.
“Don’t do that to me again,” he snaps. His heart’s still beating too fast, which is why, he thinks, he ends up in front of Tyson, kneeling like he’s looking at the stitches, when really it’s the most upright he can be. “Fuck, Tyson. Don’t scare me like that.”
“I didn’t think they’d tell you,” Tyson says, easy. “I told them they didn’t need to tell my contact, or whatever.”
“That was stupid,” Gabe tells him. “they should have called me, I was here already, I could have helped, I could have--” Done something. He’s not sure what. Maybe just held Tyson’s hand while he was getting stitches.
“Wasn’t sure you’d come,” Tyson says, and it’s open and vulnerable in a way that tells Gabe he really is high. “Thought you might have to stay away, or whatever. Because of how we’re too close.”
Gabe looks up. Tyson’s looking down at him, half-vacant but all hurt, and Gabe can’t look at him for long, but he has to to say this. “Don’t be an idiot,” he says, firmly. “Of course I’d be here.”
“That’s usually my line,” Tyson murmurs, and Gabe laughs and drops his head against Tyson’s thigh. “You know, if I were less loopy I’d say you could stay right there and make it up to me.”
Gabe snorts, despite himself. Despite thinking--well. Maybe some questions have been answered. “They gave you the good stuff, huh?”
“I was freaking out a little,” Tyson admits, “Nate was freaking out a lot. He had to leave because the doctor thought he was going to throw up. I missed you,” he says, and Gabe clenches his eyes shut tighter. “You’d have been there.”
“Yeah.” He will be there, Gabe promises himself. He’s not letting Tyson go through any of this alone.
That’s why, he decides, he waits for the doctor to come back and give Tyson all the instructions about his meds and how long he needs the crutches for, and then for Tyson to demonstrate that he can use the crutches-- “Don’t worry, I’m not a crutches virgin,” Tyson says, and gets a chuckle out of the doctor as Nate snorts and Gabe groans--then supervises the wheelchair to the car process.
“You don’t have to,” Tyson tells him, as he and Nate together get Tyson into the passenger side of Nate’s car. “I’ll be fine.”
“I left you two alone for a second and you ended up in the hospital,” Gabe snaps at him. “Forgive me if I don’t trust you about that.”
“It was more than a second,” Tyson tells him, but he doesn’t protest anymore. Nate seems suitably cowed too, and so doesn’t comment when Gabe follows them back home.
There’s--a lot of blood on the floor. Gabe had known, intellectually, how bad it had been, but seeing the blood feels like something different. Hits him different. He’s going to be a doctor, he should be able to handle a crisis, but he doesn’t look at the blood.
“Okay,” he says, when they’re inside. “I’m going to get Tyson to bed, because he’s about to fall over. You,” he tells Nate, “Are going to clean this up.”
“But--” Gabe gives him a look that he hopes communicates ‘did you or did you not just send Tyson to the hospital?’ Nate doesn’t protest again.
Gabe slings and arm around Tyson’s waist, and helps him to his bed, then sits him down on it.
“You know,” Tyson mumbles, as Gabe takes his shirt off for him, “These are kinda mixed messages.”
“Hm?”  Gabe’s very much not thinking about he’s currently helping Tyson with the pants, easing them carefully over his injured leg
“You say you don’t want to date me, but here you are, getting me out of my clothes,” Tyson slurs a little, but he’s still smiling like he’s made a great joke. God, Gabe loves him. There’s no uncertainty there. Like there hadn’t been, when he’d seen Tyson in the exam room, and his heart had stopped for a second.
“You know me, I’m kind of an idiot sometimes,” Gabe tells him, and gets back to his feet. Tyson flops down onto the bed, kicks his leg up with it. “Now get some sleep.”
“Are you gonna be here when I wake up?” Tyson asks, as innocent as Tyson can ever be. The covers are pulled up to his chin and he looks a mess. Gabe--yeah, he definitely wants to kiss him.
"I’ll be here as long as you let me,” he says, and Tyson smiles as he goes back to sleep.
Gabe crashes on the couch, because Nate had moved into his room. There’s some awkward maneuvering where Nate, who still clearly feels pretty guilty, offers Gabe his bed, but that feels weird so Gabe says no, but Nate’s also very Canadian and can’t let anyone sleep on the couch, and Gabe kind of thinks that neither of them entirely trust the other if Tyson needs something in the middle of the night, and it threatens to end with no one sleeping at all before Gabe sits down on the couch and refuses to leave.
He barely sleeps anyway. He can’t stop thinking about Tyson, sitting in that exam room--about the jokes Gabe had never thought about before. About the sheer relief he’d felt when he’d seen Tyson, not just that he was okay but also just--to see Tyson. How much his instinct, when Tyson had started talking shit, had been to see if a kiss could shut him up.
It means he’s up early, and then he goes to the kitchen, starts to cook. He’s not a great cook--there’s a reason Tyson was designated chef--but he can manage breakfast. It’s about ready when he hears movement in Tyson’s room, and he’s just putting the eggs onto a plate when Tyson comes out in basketball shorts and a t-shirt, stumbling a little with his crutches. He looks tired and still flushed from sleep and Gabe’s--yeah, he’s sure.
Gabe immediately abandons the eggs to go hover next to Tyson as Tyson takes a seat at the table, though Tyson glares at him before he actually helps him. “Wow, breakfast. Should have gotten injured more, if it gets me--”
“No you shouldn’t have,” Gabe cuts that off, fast. “What the hell, Tyson? How did you manage to get that hurt wrestling with Nate?”
Tyson shrugs. “Skill?”
Gabe lets out a noise that definitely doesn’t have words to it. Tyson grins a little, then more when Gabe puts the plate in front of him. Then he glances up at Gabe, and the smile fades. “So. You are here. I kinda thought that was a drug-induced hallucination.”
“You weren’t on that good of drugs,” Gabe retorts, but he grabs his own plate and sits down across from Tyson. Then he gets up, shoves the third chair under Tyson’s leg so that it’s properly extended, and then sits down again. Tyson lets him fuss, his eyebrows raised.
“So is this a--are you doing this while I’m hurt, then you’re going to fuck off again?” Tyson asks, and he’s trying to sound casual, but Gabe knows him too well for that. “Is this too close?”
“No.” Gabe looks down at his eggs. “I mean, no, I’m not going to leave. Unless you want me to.”
“I should make you,” Tyson informs him, and Gabe shrugs, because yeah, maybe. “But you’re lucky, and I am very forgiving, and also probably still a little drugged up. And also I want to have something to hold over you for the rest of forever.”
Gabe smiles a little, at the sound of Tyson talking about forever. “Yeah, you laugh now,” Tyson goes on. “Wait ‘til I’m making you like, go get me ice packs in the middle of the night.”
“I’ll take the risk.” Gabe looks up again, at Tyson. “I want to.”
“Not too boyfriendly?” Tyson asks, still teasing. He takes a bite of the toast.
Gabe shrugs. But it’s Tyson, is the thing. Tyson makes things that should be scary easier. “It kind of is,” he says, even. “But what if that’s what I want?”
Tyson blinks once. Twice. Then he puts down the toast. “Gabe?”
“You said, why don’t I date you,” Gabe explains. He’s trying to be calm, but he thinks the words are starting to come faster and faster. “So--why don’t I?”
“You demonstrated why not. Pretty unarguably.” Tyson’s a little red, though, so he’s not as calm as his tone might make him seem.
“Yeah, but that was--we were mad and I was proving a point, it wasn’t--if you don’t want to, it’s fine, we’ll go back to being friends and I’ll try to be less intense about it, but I think we could be good together.” Gabe should have used his sleepless night to come up with a speech, but apparently this is what he has. “We are good together, in most of it, and I think we could be good together with all of it, and you should give me the chance to convince you.”
Tyson’s still staring. “Gabe, you’re straight,” he says, which Gabe notes isn’t a no. “You don’t need to like, pity fuck me just so we can still be friends. That’s kind of shitty, actually, don’t-- what are you doing?”
Gabe’s stood up, moved across the table so he can lean over Tyson, an arm braced on the table. Tyson’s staring up at him, with those big, expressive brown eyes and lips that yeah, Gabe wants to try out. He wants to see what made everyone else talk so highly about him.
“Disproving myself,” he tells Tyson, and looks very obviously at Tyson’s lips. “Is that okay?”
“Um. Yeah? I mean, if this is some sort of gay chicken I don’t know who you’re playing with because like, I am gay, and I don’t know what you’re trying to prove, but--” Gabe cuts him off by kissing him.
It almost doesn’t work, because Tyson’s lips keep forming words for another second before he seems to process that Gabe actually did it. Gabe waits for him to come to that realization, then he actually kisses Tyson. Not the angry, dismissive kiss of a few weeks ago, but a kiss like he’d kiss someone he’s into.
It’s easy to kiss Tyson like that, he finds. Different, sure, because it’s a guy and Gabe hasn’t done this with a guy before, but the scrape of his stubble is intriguing, how large and solid he is under Gabe, how there’s no moment Gabe can forget it’s Tyson, because Tyson kisses like he does everything else--intent and playful and secretly really well, and his hands lift up to Gabe’s shoulders, his hair, and they’re large and calloused and Gabe thinks with a shiver about them touching him more.
They break apart at last, but Gabe doesn’t go far. Tyson’s staring at him, wide-eyed, his mouth gaping open a little like an invitation to kiss him again. “Um.”
“Is this a way to actually get you quiet?” Gabe teases. Tyson makes a face.
“Okay, so. You’re straight?” He says, and this time it’s a question.
“Um. Might be more...up in the air than I thought?” It’s easy to say to Tyson, somehow. “At least regarding you.” He pauses, then, “You want to kiss me? I thought you weren’t into me.”
“I’m mean, I never thought about it thought about it, but.” Tyson waves at him. “I have eyes. And like, I love you. So. That seems like a decent place to start. If you--really? You seriously don’t need to do this just because you think it’s what I want, I’m not--”
“Do you want me to prove to you again that it’s not just for you?” Gabe asks, and Tyson grins, that same glint in his eyes he’d had twenty years ago in his smile.
“I guess I could handle it,” he says, so Gabe does.
Nate comes in, some time later. He looks at them, then he shakes his head, and walks back out. Tyson’s head falls onto Gabe’s shoulder, the laughter muffled in his shirt. “Aw, poor Mac,” he giggles. “I think we traumatized him.”
“He can handle it,” Gabe decides. “But also, this is killing my back, and you actually should eat if you want to take more pain meds.”
“Fine, Doctor,” Tyson drawls, then stops. Tilts his head. “Huh...” he says, drawing out that word.
Gabe knows he flushes. “What?”
“Doctor.” Tyson feels the word in his mouth. He somehow manages to make it a little obscene.
“Tyson,” Gabe hisses, and Tyson grins.
“Hey, you knew what you were getting into,” he points out. Then goes red and laughs again. It takes Gabe a second, then he rolls his eyes.
“Tyson,” he groans, and Tyson laughs and shrugs.
Gabe waits until they’ve rearranged so Gabe’s put warm toast on Tyson’s plate and then bullied him into the living room so he can sit next to Gabe and put his foot up. It’s not anything they haven’t done before, Tyson tucked in next to Gabe, but it feels like--more. In a way Gabe likes.
“You know i haven’t--like, done this before,” he admits. He hates admitting he doesn’t know shit, but it’s Tyson. Tyson knows that. “With a guy.”
“Yeah, well.” Tyson shrugs. “I haven’t done this before either. Seriously, I mean, obviously I’ve fucked.” Gabe rolls his eyes. There’s no moment Tyson can’t ruin. “We’ll figure it out. We’re good at that.”
“Yeah.” Gabe runs his hand down Tyson’s back. Tyson shivers, and Gabe makes a note of that idly. They are.
Of course, later, “Wait, I was totally your bi awakening!” Tyson crows, just when Gabe was really settling into his nap.
“No you weren’t.”
“I was! You were sure you were straight then you had one shitty kiss with me and it changed everything!” Tyson looks like Christmas has come early, and possibly his birthday. “Oh my god. This is amazing.”
“Nothing is amazing. It was different, with you.”
“Yeah, you’re very sweet.” Tyson runs a hand over Gabe’s hair, casually affectionate. “But like, this is going on my resume. I might hire a skywriter. Turns straight guys bi with a single kiss!” He actually chortles, which is not a sound Gabe knew people actually made.
“I’m leaving you,” he grumbles, turning over in bed.
Tyson tries to roll over, can’t because of his leg, and instead scoots over until he’s next to Gabe and can throw an arm over him. “No you aren’t,” he tells Gabe, sounding very smug about it. “You love me.”
“Not when you’re being annoying.”
“Even then,” Tyson informs him, and Gabe sighs, because he knows that, like he knows that when they’re done napping he’s going to make sure Tyson stays sitting while he or Nate makes food instead of trying to take over. And that Tyson will probably convince him that he’s okay to go out tonight to hang out with his friends, but he’ll go home with Gabe anyway, and that--they’ll take care of each other. Like always.
“Nope,” Gabe insists. “Not at all.”
“Keep telling yourself that, Landeskog,” Tyson retorts, squirming to get more comfortable. He waits a beat, when Gabe thinks they’ll finally get some sleep, then he adds, “You love me enough that I turned you bi.”
“That’s not what happened!” Gabe repeats, and rolls over to kiss the laughter off of Tyson’s face.

The King : Eternal Monarch - Episode 1
Tumblr media
I opened Netflix this morning, thinking I would continue watching Eternal Love as even as a second time viewing, it’s amazing, however, this was in my suggestions and it looked like a new drama. So I clicked on it. I am not a huge fan of Lee Minho’s acting, let’s face it, but since he’s so popular, he ends being in very promising dramas.  They don’t all end up being very good (like I had to force myself through the Heirs even though there was a fabulous cast for this drama), however, I’m still curious.  So since there’s only two episodes on now, I’ll just give this a try before going back to my Yang Mi and Mark Chao.  And it’s been a while I didn’t watch any K-drama so I am happy to change things up a little bit.
Okay so we start the story in a questioning room. The guy is telling a story about a flute that was given to the king by the sea dragon king, or something like that. That bamboo wasn’t just any flute, when you used it, it would solve all the problems in the country (war, drought, diseases, etc). That guy clames that he’s 70 but still looking 40 because he has that flute that he took from his brother. The inspectors don’t care much about the flute, they want to know if he killed his brother. He says he did because he had the world in his hands but didn’t do anything about it, that he was king only because of being born as a legitimate king.
Which takes us to a flashback of 1994, when he took the four tiger sword. And kills his brother with it. Before he takes the flute. Than a little king comes. He’s not afraid from stepping in all this blood, but gets to tons of crying when he sees his dad dead on the floor. So he grabs the four tiger sword to avenge him, the uncle is like who do you think you can hurt with this? Little kid says at least I’ll try and slices the flute in two while trying to do so. Uh oh. I don’t think mister uncle will be happy about that.Plus he cuts his hands, which drenches the flute in blood. Well the half that’s left in his hands. That little kid orders to punish that evil uncle, but woops, those men are all working for him. Then, footsteps, someone else is coming!
While the uncle tries killing is nephew with the flute, it becomes very graphic and bloody. Anyways, that persons shoots pew pew pew, the little prince hides the second half of the flute and they leave because the royal guards are coming. That masked person checks on the prince, the prince takes his id card,  the guys leaves.
And switch to people morning the king’s death and another prince coming along, but like a grandpa old one. They are looking for the uncle, Lee Rim, but he’s nowhere to found yet and the grandpa prince says he must have planned an escape route.
Which he did, in the bamboo forest he went through some kind of portal or whatever it is. Then he finds his double self, a guy in a wheelchair, most likely paralyzed. Wow, he just kills the disable guy. Then the double of that little prince comes in too, seeing his uncle dead and tries to fight again. But we don’t know if he gets killed this times we jump to the coronation of the little prince.
The throne is so beautiful. Okay I am weird, but I love props. So little prince is now little king and he mourns his father for 26 days.
Next, is the officer from earlier asking a woman if the corpse is her husband. She doesn’t seem very interested in her dead husband and wants to go back to work. Okay, back home she’s more than happy that her husband is dead, she didn’t like him so now she can leave with her son. But then the creepy uncle stands up and who knows what happens, we are back to the little prince mourning. And another kid bugging him. His father’s friend’s son. Seems, according to some granny that it’s a plan. I like that little guy with his mushroom head.
So far, I am at the middle of episode one, it seems interesting, however, I wonder if it will always be like this, jumping back in forth between the two worlds... Because it gets a little confusing for me when they do that.
So finally, that little boy collapses crying, saying that he misses his dad. But where is his mom? Awww, that mushroom head starts crying when he sees the king crying. Awww they make friends. Lee Gon (the little king) gives mushroom head a sword and names him the unbreakable sword. How cute is this.
At night somebody found a corpse. I think it’s the other uncle from the the other world. The doctor coming for the autopsie says it cant be a suicide, it has to be a shooting by the royal guards. So he will have to lie about the autopsie... I don’t like that. Lies always bring bad luck...
So one of the guys working for Lee Rim is now a farmer and ten years go by. One day, Lee Rim suddenly shows up to him saying he has seen another world and he’s taking him there.
And we are back to 2019, with a girl probably extremely rich in a private helicopter. Oh, seems she’s the prime minister. I love her dress. That bright red lace ** I want the same (but I would probably look like a potato if I was  to wear something like that). They are searching her because her bra rang to the detector. She’s like sorry, wireless bras don’t support properly my breasts hahaha. Oh god, I love her.
And okay. I am no Lee Minho fan, as I said previously, but wow wow wow. How gorgeous has he become. Loved that big shot on his face. Handsome. Hiiii!
So the old granny hides talismans all over the king’s room so he could find love. I love the granny. But he catches her on the spot. She tells him he can’t marry the prime minister, she almost called her names haha, and tells him to get married to stabilize his power haha. He says he’s not interested in getting married and producing heirs and she’s like how come  you’re not interested when you are of age and a decent man hahaha. Love you granny. Did she just that he might be gay if he’s not interested in woman? I mean for him to say that she’s the first woman to be impolite to him ever since he ascended the throne. Must be of something like that. He tells her to stop with the charms and that he’ll meet as expected with the prime minister in two hours.
So he’s out horseback riding. I want to go horseback riding to. The prime minister comes to him before time, so they can take pictures and she makes sure that they look intimate. I am not sure if he likes her or dislikes her. Mushroom head grew up to be quite handsome too by the way. And so far, not sure if they made Lee Minho play a jerk that isn’t a jerk again. Please tell that’s not it. I want to see him play a different character...
So the king is reading Alice in Wonderland to the kids and one of the girls asks him if he has a girlfriend. Since he doesn’t, she suggest he does like Alice and follows the rabbit. How cute. And then it’s a rowing competition and somebody is running after a girl and because of the crowd he shoots in the air, which gets the army at him wooops. And the girl escapes, wearing a bunny hoodie. Which Lee Gon sees and remembers about Alice following the rabbit. Okay. Predictable, but adorable. What the hell? He’s like running barefoot? His feet are going to be injured. He loses her.
Okay I love mushroom head. And I should stop calling him mushroom head. He’s Jo Young. Bringing shoes to the king that he doesn’t want, telling him to wear a bullet proof shirt and saying he’s going to give himself a warning for not convincing Lee Gon to wear it. Because he is the highest rank so nobody could punish him. Jo Young asks him why does he want to find the culprit himself, but he just wants to find that person who came 25 years ago. Jo Young points that this person must have aged a lot so he might not recognize him.
Here I must say I am so happy about it that they used Alice in Wonderland because it is my favorite fairy tale of all times. Anyways. That’s all I have to say about it.
He kept the id card of the girl, Jang Tae-eul and she was born in 1990? How weird is this? How could she save him when she was for and be an adult? Strange. I love mystery! Good points for this drama.
Okay oh wow. She’s from the other world as to be expected and she’s a bad ass police officer. She crashed her car into a criminal’s car to make him come down of his house and then she smells something and decides to go back. There was a corpse in the trunk of the car. Wow. That girl is really something. And I love how she kicks their asses. I love fighting scenes and this is awesome **
Lee Gon spots the rabbit girl and runs after her, after he called his horse. But at some point the horse doesn’t want to keep on going. In the bamboo forest. He found the door. And he goes through it. I mean, that’s dumb. Why would he. Tae-eul seems him and tries to stop him from going on with his horse, but he doesn’t. Well he’s king where he comes from, I guess nobody tells him what to do. He recognizes her as that girl. She scolds him for causing traffic and asks to show her his ID card. He gets down his horse and checks her ID card, says he finally met her and hugs her. Oh my, why are all the ships happening so fast with Lee Minho? Is it because he’s a beautiful man? I mean, as he longed for her all that time because she’s pretty?
Okay, but the previews makes me think it’s going to get interesting. I am not hooked just yet, but I am enjoying this.

It's fairly easy to tell with most of the guys, but I've been wondering: what kinds of things are Lore afraid of? How does he react when he's forced to face those things?
Oh!  @ask-the-dimensional-links did a thing on this!  Give me a minute, I’ll go and dig up that post-
Also, I went back through my message history and found the original thoughts I sent them regarding that Ask in the first place.  However, it is long, and I have recently figured out how to stop spamming people with novel-length posts, so!  The LONG answer shall be under the cut ;)
(But if you don’t want to read the whole thing I’ll put Lore’s in bold so you can just skip to it)
((For greatest fears… well, honestly I’ve only addressed this a couple times, because most of my interpretation of being the Holder of Courage means that said Holder isn’t afraid of a ton of stuff. That said, I have tried to give each Link something that they ARE afraid of, if only because Courage also means overcoming your fear and doing the thing anyway. I probably haven’t mentioned them all in-story because not all of them came up through natural events or dialogue, but hey, now I can!  Gen is afraid of spiders. I did this because, in his game, they’re freaking enormous and have a nasty habit of dropping out of absolutely flipping nowhere, landing on his head, and proceeding to try and eat him then and there. Granted, the spiders in Twilight Princess can be equally large, but you can usually see them coming. Plus, Dusk has very sharp teeth and that quick-time event thing with Midna and her magic, so he’s much better equipped to take them out swiftly whereas Gen has to stab the thing and usually get spider guts on himself too.Speck worries about getting stepped on. One of the very first things he learned about being small is that almost nobody pays attention to you, and they certainly don’t pay attention to where they’re walking. Most of the time he uses this to his advantage, like his fighting style. But he always makes sure to keep to corners and to walk in places where he can’t easily be spotted, because getting crushed to death by an unobservant human sounds absolutely terrifying. The Four don’t like being alone. It’s something that’s developed more in relation to the more time they spend together; there’s something really intimate about sharing thoughts the way they do, and they’re a little bit worried about how they’re going to handle it all when they have to put the Four Sword back. To them, noise means people and people mean life and warmth and laughter and a bunch of other good stuff. Their hive-mind means that they’ve always got each other, but especially now that they’ve gotten used to having ten-plus siblings around, being alone just sounds so… lonely.Ocarina is scared that he can’t measure up. It’s a lot of pressure, to take a nine-year-old boy and tell him, “Hey, you gotta save the world.” Now, though, he’s in a body that he’s still getting used to (he never had the opportunity to grow into it, after all), and there’s a future version of himself hanging around who’s confident and cocky and everything Ocarina’s not. He’s afraid that Mask might look at him one day and say, ‘You’ll never be me. You’re not enough.’ Common sense, of course, tells him that this is obviously never going to happen, because otherwise that would be a massive paradox and plus Mask just isn’t that kind of person, but fear isn’t exactly rational.Mask got over that whole inferiority thing a looooong time ago, but now he’s got a new issue: he can’t stand being left behind. Not in the kind of ‘You’re too slow’ way, but in the 'people move on without him’ way. It started when Princess Zelda sent him back to his child years (without actually consulting him on it, might I add), and suddenly here he is with all these memories surrounded by all these people who have no idea what he’s been through. Mask would have much rather continued as he was, with the people who shared the experience with him. Then Navi left, for reasons he’s still trying to figure out, and he literally left the country and went to a new one searching for her. This is part of the reason why he resonates with the Skull Kid; they’ve both got the same fear.Neither of them are very fond of Dead Hands, though.  Dusk doesn’t like losing people - at all. He’s so protective that the idea of one of the people he values getting hurt terrifies him. After all, what did he do when his adoptive brother got kidnapped? (That’s Colin, by the way.) And what did he do when Colin nearly got tossed off a bridge by King Bulblin? He went nuts on the guy. Same thing when Speck almost got crushed. He’s a wolf, and the pack means everything to him. He’s going to fight until he literally can’t anymore to keep anything from happening to his family.Vio, Blue, Red, and Green each have a diluted version of Link’s original fear, because they’re one personality split across four bodies. Basically, Link hates being the person who screwed up. The reason that Vaati is free in the first place was because he drew the Four Sword, breaking the seal and letting the sorcerer loose. (If you’d like, the Blue in him outweighed the Vio and instead of thinking of other ways to rescue the Princess, he went for the immediate option.) In a roundabout way, the whole mess is his fault (or at least he thinks it’s his fault), and he’ll do anything to make sure it doesn’t happen again. For his four split selves, this manifests into a general desire to not be the person in the group to botch the timing on a combat plan and to have their teamwork, at least, be smoothly-running.Lore, for a while, didn’t think he had a fear. Then he met the group and he abruptly realized, that, yes, he actually does. Lore’s afraid of rejection, that one day these people that he’d come to regard as family will say 'That’s it, we’re done, you’re too weird and we can’t cope with it.’ He actually reigned himself in, at first, just a little bit, because he liked these people and he wanted to stick around and for some reason, the idea of them looking at him in apprehension and confusion the way most other people did bothered him. He’s let loose by now, obviously, because he knows that none of them are going anywhere and neither is he, but it’s just one of those things that comes up in a bad dream every once in a while and always ends with him spending the rest of the night awake.Sketch has a straight-up phobia of water. I’ve covered this one fairly in-depth in the story, I believe, so I won’t reiterate it too much. But Sketch is always going to look at the ocean differently than the rest of the group will, because The Rain Incident is never too far in his mind.Realm is secretly afraid that one day, he’s going to get lost on his way to save somebody and by the time he finally gets there it’ll be too late. Or, that he’ll lose his sword and be unable to fend off an attack, or lose his shield and be unable to defend someone. This is why he never stops trying to find whichever item he misplaced or whichever location he lost track of this time. He’s going to get there whether it takes him two weeks or not, because the alternative isn’t an option. He’s better nowadays, because somehow hanging with the group cuts his travel time by about eighty percent and he still can’t believe that it’s normal for people to get where they’re going in less than a week, but it’s awesome and he’s not complaining one bit.Wind is afraid to lose. Not exactly in the traditional sense, but more like he’s terrified of what will happen if he fails. What would have happened to Aryll if he’d failed to save her after she’d gotten kidnapped? What would have happened to Tetra if he’d failed to get her out of Ganondorf’s hands? What would happen to her now if he fails to find Bellum? And, the current one, what will happen to existence if they fail to stop Demise? (I guess he’s afraid of the Game Over scenario, heh.)Steam never says anything about it, but he sometimes sees things that nobody else does and they freak the living daylights out of him. He’s started suspecting that there’s some form of spirit world sharing the space with their physical one. He’s learned to ignore it, for the most part, although being able to see it did come in really handy when Zelda lost her body. Unfortunately, that led him to think that he’s seeing the afterlife, and that was just uncomfortable.
Shadow likes to pretend that he doesn’t have a fear and he gets away with it too, because what he’s actually afraid of never actually occurred to anybody else. Which is funny, because he’s actually really obvious about it. He doesn’t like sunlight. Kinda like Sketch and his water phobia, Shadow’s afraid of sunlight because it hurts. He’s never tempted fate to see what would happen, but judging by the smoke that starts coming off his hair he doesn’t think he wants to find out. Hence the cloak he wears, and why he’s always under a shady tree somewhere.Oni dislikes the idea of losing his legacy. He’s the very first Hero, after all, he’s gotta protect his kids. Plus, if they’re gone, who’s gonna beat up the evil that pops up all the time? He’s like the formal older brother/father who’s actually an enraged momma bear if you manage to trigger his fear.))

Logan Sanders fell in love with Patton Hart at precisely 5:37pm on a Thursday evening.
He’d been ranting about nebulas for ten minutes and seventeen seconds when his face started to heat up. He was talking too much, as usual.
His mouth had snapped shut as he waited for Patton’s sigh of relief that never came.
“So does that mean new stars are born in graveyards?” Patton asked instead, eyes wide as he propped his head in his hands.
Logan opened his mouth to launch into another long explanation and then caught himself for the second time. “It takes quite a while to explain. I’m sure there are other things you’d rather do.”
Patton had tilted his head, blinking blankly back at Logan. He didn’t even understand what Logan was getting at. “I like listening to you though.”
“You do?”
Then, Patton had smiled in that way he does, where his eyes crinkle and his cheeks turn pink. “I could listen for hours.”
“I see.”
“Besides, the universe is cool! It connects us all! And it’s comforting to know that no matter where you are, you can always look at the same constellation as the person you love.”
That was the turning point for Logan, the point where he realized that his brain may only hold enough information to talk for a few days about facts without a break, but he could talk about Patton for the rest of his life and never run out of things to say.
At precisely 2:48 on a Tuesday morning, nearly two years later, Logan Sanders is still in love with Patton Hart.
He flops back onto his bed and groans loudly to his empty dorm room, turning his head to the side to look at his previous roommates vacant bed.
The college senior was a few years older than Logan, always going out to party and coming in late smelling like alcohol and sweat.
Logan disliked him for the majority of their time living together, but on his last day, the man had shaken Logan’s hand and told him thank you, and that he’d never have made it without Logan helping him study.
It’s odd how one never really sees their impact on people until they’re told to their face.
Now though, the man he can’t even remember the name of is gone, just like Logan will be soon.
People are graduating, and graduating means leaving, and leaving means that-
Well, leaving means that Patton might never know what Logan wants to tell him.
He’d had a plan he wrote the second he got his hands on a notebook after he realized his predicament.
His ‘Three Hundred and Three Step Plan to Confess to Patton Hart’.
The thing is, he’s only on step one hundred. It would be impossible to finish before the week is up, and the two friends part ways.
It wasn’t as if he hadn’t been trying, he just didn’t think it would be so hard. For instance, step thirty in itself took him four weeks to complete, just because Patton’s favorite flower changed almost every day!
That and… he couldn’t even look at the list for almost six months after he made it.
In his excitement and panic, he hadn’t actually taken time to think about what being in love meant.
It had actually been Patton who’d referred him to a therapist. It took them eight months until Logan could say “I’m gay” without going into a panic attack.
Now, he can say it easily, but it doesn’t matter much when he can’t say it to the person he wants to.
“This is ridiculous,” he mutters.
Sitting up, he slides his glasses back onto his face and lets out an even breath. He has to think logically.
Except there isn’t anything remotely logical about love.
At least not that he’s aware of.
Patton would know.
Logan groans again and drops his head in his hands. He is not asking for love advice from the person he is in love with.
The voice in his head tells him to go to sleep, and he glances at his alarm clock. It’s nearly three am. Logan has spent almost all night up thinking about love, of all things.
Any other night he would get up to do work, might as well if he can’t sleep, Patton Would hand him a coffee and a bagel in the morning and tell him to stop working so hard, but he unfortunately doesn’t have any work to do.
Graduation is in a week.
Now he’s back to where he started.
“This isn’t healthy,” he says to the empty room.
Perhaps if he went for a walk it would clear his head?
Debating the dangers of a small town college campus at three am, Logan nods and climbs out of bed.
He busies himself getting dressed, pulling on a polo and picking out a tie. He used to despise the outfit, even though he never wore anything else.
It’s what they made him. Gray and uninteresting.
“I got a little brain design embroidered on it! Now it’s unique and all your style!”
Patton really does know how to make someone comfortable.
Now, the outfit doesn’t make him hate himself, but it’s still not so over the top to bring up past issues.
The real question is, how could one not love Patton?
Logan almost trips on his carpet.
Who could not love Patton?
He isn’t even sure someone else doesn’t! He doesn’t know if Patton is in love with someone else! He’s pretty sure he’s not dating at least, Patton tends to share every minute of his day with Logan.
If he was dating someone, Logan would know.
Theoretically.
For the dozenth time that night, Logan takes a deep breath and tells himself to calm down. He’s just sleep deprived is all.
Sleep deprivation is clinically proven to mess with one’s functionality and thought process.
Pulling on his last shoe, Logan opens his door quietly, his keys tucked in his palm.
There’s a soft ball of fabric that rubs up against his wrist when he holds his keys in such a way. It’s a stimulant comfort, and though he won’t admit it, it holds emotional value as well.
Patton had bought him the soft keychain on a trip to an observatory with his astronomy class. It was in some rundown gas station that Logan can’t remember the name of.
The more he thinks about it, the more he realizes that most things he has an emotional attachment to has come from Patton.
The air outside is still and warm, May turning to June with longer days, greener leaves, and the feeling of dread that comes with leaving school.
Every step on the concrete clicks, breaking the silence in the sleeping campus.
One step, click, another, click, on and on and on again until Logan has completely lost track of where he’s going.
He’s just walking as the thoughts whirl in his head, in and out with every steady breath.
Logan has always meditated best during walks.
Minutes turn into hours, and he finds himself circling around the entire campus, finally stopping back where he started from.
Just at that moment, his phone buzzes, sounding the alarm that it’s time to start walking to history.
The alarm is actually twenty minutes ahead of time, but he’s set it just right to where if he leaves within five minutes, he’ll be able to cross paths with Patton on the others way to animal science.
Patton usually leaves early to get coffee for his professor, and Logan tags along.
It’s his favorite fifteen minutes out of every Tuesday.
So Logan turns again, and with sore feet he hadn’t realized were sore until now, he starts walking.
He makes it halfway there before a shout sounds behind him and Logan slows but doesn’t stop, keeping up his facade.
“Hey Logan!” Patton exclaims happily. He steps up to Logan and bumps their hips together, Patton’s equivalent of a nonintrusive hug. “How are you?”
Logan nods and adjusts his glasses. “I am well.”
“You sure? You’re looking a little tired.”
“That would be because I am.” Logan sends a small smile towards his friend. “Not to worry, one bad night of sleep won’t stop me from functioning properly.”
Patton giggles and nods, walking along with Logan. His steps are wide, occasionally veering to one side or speeding up to step over a crack in the sidewalk.
Logan’s are stiff and long, but he walks just a little slower so Patton can keep up.
“How are you, Patton?”
Looking up from the ladybug he’d been watching, Patton’s face breaks into a grin. “I’m awesome! On the way here I saw a woodpecker!”
“Considering where we are,” Logan starts as he slows his pace even more to accommodate Patton, “It’s more likely you saw a Northern Flicker. They do look quite alike.”
Patton wiggles his eyebrows. “Do you want to see my impression of a Northern Flicker?”
At Logan’s nod he flicks his fingers out in front of him, grinning at Logan with a glint in his eye.
“I don’t see how that resembles a bir- oh. Oh because you’re flicking to the North- that’s- that’s completely awful.”
“You love me,” Patton coos, batting his eyelashes.
More than he knows.
“Do you have lunch plans today?”
Patton reties his cardigan and shakes his head, “Nope! None.”
“Neither do I.”
There’s a painstaking silence for a few yards and then Logan clears his throat. “Would you like to attend lunch together?”
“Yeah!” Patton clasps his hands behind him as he walks and scrunches his nose to keep his glasses from sliding off. “We’ve been friends long enough that you don’t have to ask anymore, Lo.”
Logan just about falls over.
Stopping off at the coffee shop, Logan pulls the door open for Patton, then stays behind him as he makes his way through the small shop, smiling and waving at almost everyone inside.
Logan learned a long time ago to let Patton do almost all of the actual socializing in social situations. His charisma and naturally kind face just makes it easier for him.
Most people already know Patton, addressing him by name or waving shyly.
There are basically two options after meeting Patton, like him, or adore him.
Logan has found the majority pick the latter.
“Hey Patt!” Calls a young person making their way out the door.
“Eliot! Hey!” Patton waves excitedly. “How’d the English final go?”
“Aced it!”
“Aw kiddo! I knew you could do it!”
Blushing a little at the praise, Eliot snorts. “Getting coffee for Professor Aldridge again?”
“You bet!” Patton responds with an achingly bright smile.
The student laughs and shakes their head. “Man, if I didn’t know you any better, I’d say you’re a suck up!”
They leave with their friend after that, and Logan leans over to speak in a low voice to Patton. “If they did know you any better, they’d know you are, in fact, a suck up.”
Patton gasps and pushes Logan’s arm lightly. “Am not! I just like doing nice things for people… and if it happens to make some professors more inclined to give me extensions more often… that’s pretty neat!”
“I’m fairly certain that’s the definition of a suck up.”
“Coffee, Lo?”
Logan chuckles. “Buying me something to get out of a conversation? That’s a bribe. Which is a crime in some states.”
“I guess that makes me a criminal,” Patton starts, getting that glint in his eye that always comes with a pun, “criminally-“
“Black coffee if you don’t mind,” Logan interrupts.
Patton pays for the order with a cheery tone, turning down Logan’s offer to pay for it. “I dragged you here anyway!” He says.
“On the contrary. You didn’t drag me anywhere.”
Smile softening into something that -well, for lack of proper vocabulary- figuratively makes Logan’s heart melt, Patton nods. “No, I guess I didn’t.”
The two start back on their way to their respective classes, and Logan counts the steps until they have to part ways.
“Are you nervous about leaving school?” Patton asks after a few seconds of comfortable silence, broken only by Patton blowing on his hot chocolate.
Logan doesn’t say anything as he takes a sip of his coffee, pretending not to be startled by the heat in his throat, he turns the question over in his head to try and figure it out. Is he nervous about leaving?
Or nervous about leaving Patton?
“I’m nervous,” Patton plows on, not minding Logan’s silence. “After this it’s just us against the world, you know? The future we’ve been preparing for since preschool is finally here and… I’m not ready at all.”
Looking at Patton in surprise, Logan frowns. “You aren’t ready? Are you alright?”
Patton shuffles his feet for a few steps, widening his smile. “Of course I’m alright! Just a little apprehensive is all.”
“Patton..” Logan slows and lightly bumps his hip into his friends, “you can talk to me.”
“I know I can!” Patton wiggles his eyebrows, “What? Have I been speaking gibberish?”
“Ah. Humor to cope. Why am I not surprised.”
“Well aren’t you feisty today!”
“It must be due to the-“
“Like a cat.”
“-lack of sleep last night.”
“Because cats are feisty.”
Logan adjusts his glasses with a sigh. “Yes. I understood, I merely refrained from commenting on the unnecessary joke.”
“Jokes are never unnecessary!” Patton protests, and it’s then Logan realizes he’s successfully changed the subject.
“If you don’t wish to tell me what’s troubling you, you don’t have to,” Logan says quietly.
Patton stalls. “It’s not that! I trust you Lo!” He bites his lip and then shrugs. “I’m just in a funk! I’ll be back to normal me any minute!”
“Patton-“
Already turning towards his own class, Patton waves, “I’ll see you at lunch!”
Logan sighs and gives a small wave, “Have a satisfactory day Patton, I’ll see you at lunch.”
“Don’t forget how incredible you are!” Patton calls out, the routine end to all their conversations.
Routine.
Constant.
That’s what Patton is.
Everything about him is constant, and when one loses their constant…
They tend to fall apart.
Logan spends his entire class period rewriting his plan to confess to Patton.
Right now, he’s not exactly making good progress. If he wants to finish before they split ways, he needs to revise it.
The professor drones on about graduation, the same speech Logan’s heard in every class for the last week.
A few of the students cry, some hug.
Considering what kept him up all night, he’s a hypocrite for finding all the emotions icky, but he can’t help it.
He pulls out a notebook from his bag and flips to a blank page. At the top, in bold letters he writes “Confess To Patton”, under that, he writes “Step One”. His pen stops moving.
“Fuck,” He mouths, surprising himself with the out of character swear word. The thing is, he has no idea how to do this.
To the side of him, a girl snorts and then nods at him, giving him a look that Logan has come to translate as ‘me too’.
The girl has been sitting next to him the entire term, and when Logan found out she was deaf, he’d started helping translate what she can’t read off the professors lips.
Patton says it’s very kind, Logan tells him it’s common decency.
Smiling tightly at her, he turns back to his thoughts and falls back on the only thing that’s never failed him, Logan pulls out his phone to do some research.
‘How to tell someone you have feelings for them- WikiHow’
It’s not like he has much dignity anyway. He clicks on the article, reading the first few steps.
‘Consider your chances,’ Logan reads silently, then drops his head forward onto the desk, propping his chin on his arms. “Fuck,” he repeats.
The girl snorts again and passes him a chocolate bar with a sympathetic smile.
Humans are confusing.
Trying to mimic what Patton would do, Logan pockets the candy and signs thank you.
The girl grins and signs you’re welcome back.
Pen poised over his paper, Logan treads on, reading every step carefully and critically before switching to another site and reading that one too. Afer a good half lecture of reading, he sets his phone down and starts making a list of his own.
Step One: Find out if he’s interested in anyone else
Step Two: Analyze body language
Step Three: Talk to his friends
Step four: Ask him to lunch
Step Five: Dress nicely
Step six: Convey attraction
As an afterthought he adds: Step Seven: Work damage control
Now he has a list. Logan has always believed starting with a list is the most efficient way to get things done. Now all he has to do is convert it into an hour by hour, day by day schedule for the last week they have until graduation.
That, and actually follow the schedule.
It really can’t be that hard.
Right?
The professor dismisses the class, reminding them that this is the last class of his for this term, or forever if they’re graduating.
Movement out of the corner of his eye makes Logan look down. The deaf girl writes a quick note on his paper, signs a heart and then picks up her bag to leave.
“Believe in yourself! You’ll do great! You always do.”
Logan decides he doesn’t mind the clutter on his paper this one time. He goes to sign his thanks, and realizes she’s already gone.
For some reason, his chest aches knowing he’ll probably never see her again.
Maybe Patton is rubbing off on him, making every human interaction mean more than they did before college.
Although, nothing really meant anything before college.
Packing up his own stuff, Logan sets his jaw, the girls written words running through his mind.
He can do this.

ARE YOU ATM OPEN FOR NEW PLOTS?:  YES / NO / DEPENDS.
DO YOU HANDLE YOUR DRAFT / ASK - COUNT WELL?:  YES / NO / SOMEWHAT. it’s SO BAD FOR ME RN ASGLDKJDJKA i’m very inconsistent i’m so sorry.

I’M OKAY WITH INTERACTING: ORIGINAL CHARACTERS / a relative of my character (an oc) / duplicates / MY FANDOM / CROSSOVERS / MULTI-MUSES / self-inserts / people with no AU verse for my fandom / CANON-DIVERGENT PORTRAYALS / AU-VERSIONS.
DO YOU POST MORE IC OR OOC?: IC / OOC. (i have a lot of stupid shit sorry)
ARE YOU SELECTIVE WITH FOLLOWING OTHERS?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.
BEST WAYS TO APPROACH YOU FOR RP/PLOTTING: just send me a tumblr instant message, i know it sucks shit but im not comfy releasing my discord w everyone just yet cause i use it for personal use as well. i check tumblr on the daily so if you send me a message chances are i’ll see it and respond!
WHAT EXPECTATIONS DO YOU HOLD TOWARDS YOUR PLOTTING PARTNER:  i guess just be able to put up with my rambling and stopping and starting, a lot of characterisation choices i do go through various stages and its pretty messy so when i communicate that with others it usually ends up equally messy. just be patient with me please.
WHEN YOU NOTICE THE PLOTTING IS RATHER ONE-SIDED, WHAT DO YOU DO?:  i don’t mind! sometimes ppl have more ideas that they want to share first and i’m always super happy to listen to those ideas !! sometimes its nice to have someone with a clear guide or structure and be able to work around that rather than trying to fumble through a plot together.
HOW DO YOU USUALLY PLOT WITH OTHERS, DO YOU GIVE INPUT OR LEAVE MOST WORK TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER?:  i try to map out some basic info abt their characters that i otherwise don’t know from their bio or verses and try to pick out points of confrontation or similarities to expand on with giselle that can be used as points for like a starter to happen. its either that or sometimes i have really stupid ideas i just toss out there like ‘LMAO THEYRE BREAKING SHIT AT DISNEYLAND’ and go buck wild from there if the other person is down. i also always try to warn people or get a gauge for what subjects to avoid and steer clear of considering that giselle is a bit of a Freak(tm) and will say and do bad things.
WHEN A PARTNER DROPS THE THREAD, DO YOU WISH TO KNOW?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: if there’s something giselle did or said that upset you, i would love to know not to repeat it again (since i do still feel pretty new to the rp game, theres still plenty of time for me to make stupid mistakes). if its just a general lack of interest or uncertainty of where the plot should go, then you dont have to tell me i wont take it personally i promise !
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY LEAD YOU TO DROP A THREAD?: sometimes i can be made uncomfortable by certain things mentioned... it happens but its rare
- WILL YOU TELL YOUR PARTNER?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS. i don’t want to upset anyone personally and sometimes explaining the ins and outs of my discomfort make things ten times worse so i just. would rather not.
IS COMMUNICATION IN THE RPC IMPORTANT TO YOU? YES / NO.
- AND WHY?: i am the most nervous person you can meet and my brain is always giving me misinfo abt paranoia and random shit so i having clear concrete communication between two parties abt if something is going wrong or is being received poorly means the world to me.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH ABSOLUTE HONESTY, EVEN IF IT MAY MEANS HEARING SOMETHING NEGA1TIVE ABOUT YOU AND/OR PORTRAYAL?: i need it !! i still feel relatively new to all this and i need to know whats going wrong to improve !!
DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE SUCH SITUATION IN A MATURE WAY? YES / NO.
WHY DO YOU RP AGAIN, IS THERE A GOAL?: to help with my confidence in writing! i have v bad anxiety when it comes to sharing my works and i write a lot of other pieces alongside this blog on ao3 and i want to develop my writing skills just in general. when it comes to like the nuts and bolts of why i rp giselle specifically, its mainly to just have fun and have a laugh w my friends who are really awesome quincy writers
WISHLIST, BE IT PLOTS OR SCENARIOS:  OH SO MANY! ive managed to fulfil a lot of my wishlist threads with like, giselle talking to characters she’s already zombified and i love all that angst but i want to do more stupid shit. i want to make it my personal goal to bully every quincy man and woman on sight. although a REAL dream would be if i got to write a thread zombifying a character who managed to escape giselle’s clutches. and more fighting! i want to get better at describing action and fights and i love to write giselle getting beat up and beating people up! more more more!!
THEMES I WON’T EVER RP / EXPLORE:   hohoho theres a LOT... uh r*pe/dubcon threads for one, even if yeah i know writing it doesnt condone it, it makes me intensely uncomfortable to put my muse in that scenario, i feel like i have an obligation to like, protect her from that shit you know? racism is one i don’t want to transgress, even though i’m a poc, its not really cathartic or groundbreaking to write abt racism in threads its just... really fucking upsetting. also i know the quincy’s have this very close parallel to the whole n*zi imagery and ideology thing going on and i am not about to start even daring to thread that into my writing or bring those allusions and references of real life tragedies into giselle’s threads. i’ve already talked at length abt exploring giselles trans identity in rp and why im not comfortable doing so, so.... yeah! all those i guess.
WHAT TYPE OF STARTERS DO YOU PREFER / DISLIKE, CAN’T WORK WITH?: i like starters where giselle can just immediately get right into being a piece of shit. mise en scene and all that! cut out the build up and just get to the intense horror !! i don’t like starters where its not immediately clear where the characters are standing and what they’re doing and what’s happening around them. those really disorientate me and leave me kinda floundering because i always need some allusion or mention of a setting to ground giselle in a time and place other wise i cant tell what her response should be
WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE MOST?:  EVIL WOMEN EVIL WOMEN EVIL WOMEN. also just characters i can wholeheartedly clown on, or also characters who have hidden depths to them and have a single panel of screentime. honestly it’s just all over the place!
WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE LEAST?:  angry old men GSADJDKSJA i could never rp yhwach for example or yamamoto because idk. theyre just so crummy and boring to me. i also couldnt rp characters who always have an upper hand in battle like aizen. i like my dumbasses and i like them stupid and adaptive not just, ‘yes i know this because i Know this.’
WHAT ARE YOUR STRONG ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: i think im nice...? FKSJDKDJSA idk i hate trying to toot my own horn. sometimes i also think i make funny jokes and im pretty chill and laid back
WHAT ARE YOUR WEAK ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: my writing style is inconsistent and adapts to whatever i’m reading so sometimes it’ll be really good and i love it and other times it reads like really bad fanfic and i get carried away far too easily and write novella lengths for threads which should be much shorter. i also get shy a lot and dont think i communicate very effectively but HEYO we’re working on it!
DO YOU RP SMUT?:  YES / NO/ DEPENDS. haven’t had anybody brave enough to try yet lol
DO YOU PREFER TO GO INTO DETAIL?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH BLACK CURTAIN?: YES / NO.
- WHEN DO YOU RP SMUT? MORE OUT OF FUN OR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT?: more for fun i’d imagine because that’s just giselles own attitude to sex and relationships where she doesnt want anything deep. it might show character development in one way of just showing how she regards others in a romantic sense to be used rather than actually appreciated as their own person and show how selfish she is but yeah, more out of fun
- ANYTHING YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO RP THERE?:  theres a few kinks and such but i dont think they’d ever really come up. again, just mainly no r*pe/dubcon.
ARE SHIPS IMPORTANT TO YOU?:   YES / NO lets hope this doesn’t make me sound like an asshole, but its more like a fun little side thing than anything important to giselle’s actual development and characterisation.
WOULD YOU SAY YOUR BLOG IS SHIP-FOCUSED?: YES / NO. again, hardly anyone is brave enough to try to romance this evil cannibal.
DO YOU USE READ MORE?:  YES / NO / SOMETIMES WHEN I WRITE LONG STUFF.
ARE YOU:  MULTI-SHIP / Single-Ship / Dual-Ship  —  MULTIVERSE / Singleverse.
- WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO EXPLORE THE MOST IN YOUR SHIPS?: more how giselle likes to give over her power or dominate in different circumstances depending on who she’s with and what’s being done. BUT AGAIN, not a whole lot to explore yet.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH PRE-ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS?: YES / NO. - i mean im down for p much anything if it vibes w giselle.
► SECTION ABOUT YOUR MUSE.
- WHAT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE YOUR MUSE INTERESTING TOWARDS OTHERS, WHY SHOULD THEY RP WITH THIS PARTICULAR CHARACTER OF YOURS NOW, WHAT POSSIBLE PLOTS DO THEY OFFER?: if you want an evil woman to taunt and mock and hurt your muse, she’s your gal. you want her to zombify and ruin your muse, shes also your gal. you want her to insult and maim and injure, she’s also YOUR GAL. basically, if you want to do anything fucked up or sad or scary, she can help with that.
- WITH WHAT TYPE OF MUSES DO YOU USUALLY STRUGGLE TO RP WITH?:  uh muses who get really angry quickly or don’t rise or respond to her jabs and are just kinda like a flatline. theres only so much pestering and annoying she can do until realises its not working and just wanders off
- WHAT DO THEY DESIRE, IS THEIR GOAL?:  to find a goal worth living for.
- WHAT CATCHES THEIR INTEREST FIRST WHEN MEETING SOMEONE NEW?:  appearance she always takes an interest in girls almost right away. age as well because she judges old people.
- WHAT DO THEY VALUE IN A PERSON?:  a good set of guts to ruin and strong muscles.
- WHAT THEMES DO THEY LIKE TALKING ABOUT?:  women, gore, murder, herself, music, stupid memes, gossip.
- WHICH THEMES BORE THEM?:  politics, history, quincy ideology, soul reaper ideology, hollow physiology.
- DID THEY EVER WENT THROUGH SOMETHING TRAUMATIC?:  her family tried to force the burden of upholding the quincy lineage onto her shoulders, she was thrown into the wrong prison and held in isolation, then pressured to become an undying monster in service of a god and then was nearly killed by that same man and left wandering without guidance or purpose. so, yeah?
- WHAT COULD LEAD TO AN INSTANT KILL?:  transphobia. even a whiff of it in her direction and she’ll gut you like a fish.
- IS THERE SOMEONE /-THING THEY HATE?:  the twink soul reaper who outted her.
IS YOUR MUSE EASY TO APPROACH?: YES / NO. - Best ways to approach them?:  if you’re smart, you’ll bring a big bone for her to chew on and distract her while you ask whatever you want.
SOMETHING YOU MAY STILL WANT TO POINT OUT ABOUT YOUR MUSE?: i love my evil queen!
CONGRATS!!! You managed it, now tag your mutuals! ♥
Tagged by:  @bazzardburner cheers chicken boy !!
