The Eternity Arc

Mario Fixes The AC

The AC in the castle breaks, and unfortunately, it's during what is one of the hottest days in the kingdom. Everyone is miserable, and Mario elects to try and fix the AC. It, of course, all goes to shit.

Mario and the Antique Shop

A new antique shop has opened up, and Luigi, reeeeeally wanting to see what they have, drags Mario along. Lily and Lil Coding come along but leave about halfway through, seeing that a new shake shop has opened across the street. This episode is mostly Luigi trying to keep Mario from accidentally wrecking everything in the antique shop, while Lily and Lil Coding check out the new shake shop.

A Normal Game of Monopoly

Since this is SMG4, it's literally anything but normal. Relationships are being ruined, Shroomy is fucking dead, Saiko and Kaizo are strangling each other, and the castle is on fire. Though Lily and Lil Coding are oddly absent, but it is mentioned that they've been frequenting the new shake shop.

The Pingest of Pongs

Meggy got a new ping pong table for the gang! However, it quickly devolves into fierce competition between everyone when it's realized that everyone is actually kind of good at it. Lily and Lil Coding don't participate and only watch, drinking some milkshakes from the new shake shop. It's even pointed out how they've been frequenting it quite a bit, which has led to them not spending as much time with everyone else.

The Sleepover

The kids all decide to have a sleepover at Bowser's castle. After getting permission from SMG4&3, Lily and Lil Coding pack up the stuff they need and make their way to Bowser's castle. There's the usual shenanigans on their way there, including a meeting with the Happy Mask Salesman, a dancing group of Koopa Troopas, and more. However, as they make their way into the city, they decide to stop by the shake shop before continuing. Lily jokingly remarks it feels like they've gotten addicted to the shakes and Lil Coding semi-agrees.

They make their way in, order, and while waiting.. they look outside and see a particularly distressed looking Koopa Troopa. Lil Coding is able to hear the Koopa.. and it's wondering why everyone is acting so stupid, insane, and crazy?

He doesn't get to bring it up, because his and Lily's order is ready. When they leave, the Koopa Troopa is nowhere in sight. They both decide to remember it, to bring it up when they get home.

There's a cut and then it's the next morning, in the castle. We see that SMG4 is looking at a text from Lily from the night before, who confirmed that they did in fact make it to Bowser's castle safely. He and the others do their thing until.. the kids show up, but Lily and Lil Coding is missing. And the group looks confused.

When asked why, it's revealed that Lily and Lil Coding never showed up to the sleepover. It's proven and verified quickly, and it leads to a chilling question: Who used Lily's phone to send the text, and what happened to the duo?

Mario and the Missing Memes

Right around when it was found out that Lily and Lil Coding never made it to the sleepover, SMG1&2 drop by with troubling news; memes have been disappearing. Everyone, knowing full well that this only spells trouble after the last times beings started going missing, start investigating immediately. Its a semi-serious/semi-funny episode, which jokes and all that, but you can feel the underlying stress.

Eventually, a Goomba runs into Mario, and starts regarding the plumber as him pre-SMG self. Everyone is forced to play along, and it's slowly revealed that the Goomba is sane compared to the rest of the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Discreetly, SMG1&2 join their hands and attempt to use the Goomba as energy for their powers.

It doesn't work. Worse yet, none of the SMGs can sense any meme energy in the Goomba. It's as if it was drained of all of its energy.

When this is discovered, Melony and Meggy return from their searching with more troubling news; it seems as though the epicenter of all of this trouble seems to be.. Omnia Academy. And the Goomba drop another bombshell; someone at the academy, that was faculty, was named Damian and took it somewhere.

That makes Melony and Meggy go pale. Why?

There used to be a Mr. Damian at the academy, but he was long gone before any of the crew started attending.

The Shadows.

Finally, we get to see what's happened to Lily and Lil Coding. Their bodies are similar to that of Shadow Mario, but the texture seems more inky. Neither seem to be doing well. Lily looks as though she's on the brink of collapse at any moment while Lil Coding is acting like a robot.

We also get introduced to Damian, or truly known as Re: Eternity, an infamous virus. His main goal is to spread and live forever, but he's been neglecting that in favor of finding a way to live forever without infecting. Not because he's had a change of heart, but because he doesn't want to exert effort. So, he turned to harvesting meme energy.

It's revealed that he managed to convert Lily and Lil Coding via lacing their shakes with bits of his virus each time they came by. That way so it could slip past Lil Coding's antivirus and not immediately kill Lily. The captured memes and NPCs he has are rightly horrified about what he's done to these children, and constantly try to point out that Lily quite literally seems to be teetering on the brink of death due to inadequate sleep, food, and water, but Damian always brushes it off.

This mainly shows what the trio has been doing; Damian kidnapping those who have meme energy, Lily and Lil Coding harvesting it, and then giving it to Damian.

The episode ends when faint yet furious voices can be heard from the front of the academy, demanding to know where Damian is.

SMG4 Movie: Regarding My Eternity

Probably one of the most stressful movies yet. Damian narrowly escapes with Lily and Lil Coding, with Melony and Desmond (in their Deity Modes) crashing into the underground lab just a minute later. While they and a few others give chase, everyone else begins to look through the files the virus has.. and they come to a shocking realization; even with Damian processing the meme energy, it's still way too pure compared to a virus like him. In his quest to live forever.. he's been unknowingly killing himself.

The gang reunites once Damian has been caught. Unfortunately for them, his grip on Lily and Lil Coding is still strong despite the fact that seeing their friends and family has jostled his control over them. And he definitely isn't above using them as shields whenever he goes to defend himself.

The battle is long, arduous, but they do manage defeat Damian/Re: Eternity when the Guardians manage to hit him point blank with two balls of meme energy. Unfortunately for the virus, this triggers the rest of the meme energy that had been inside of him, which starts to eat away at his body before consuming him. Absolutely terrifying!

Thankfully, this doesn't harm Lily or Lil Coding, but the former is quickly rushed to the hospital when it's realized just how bad her condition is. Meanwhile, the USBs get to upgrading Lil Coding's antivirus, so it can better detect small threats like this.

In the end, the duo is okay, but now it can officially be said that Lily has her arc trauma. Here's to many more /j /lh.

I mean, we don’t know enough about Edred. Maybe he HAD some goofy moments in the past. However, taking into consideration how expressive Dimitri is, I do believe all of the silly faces actually are made under Dimitri’s influence. 

Dimitri lets Edred do whatever he wants because, I think, they both agree how to react in a given situation. For example, when they see these statues, they’re both scared that sight is inapropraiate for Lady’s eyes (chivalry am I righ?)

Additonaly, it would be fun if Edred heard Dimitri’s voice sometimes. Specifically, when Dimitri wants to suggest something. 

Remember when Edred tried to distract Melinda from looking by explaining the mysterious magic behind the awakening of these statues?

In the screens Edred makes several hand movements and acts pretty awkward. In my mind, this is a rare instance of Dimitri’s mannerism, while the words come from Edred himself. But, I’d like to imagine Dimitri told him to come up with a bluff, Edred started talking and panicked, which resulted intro a rather poor performance.  

Another instance of ‘Dimitri’s taking over’ is presumably in the ship when Edred tried to woo Melinda.

And if my silly idea ‘Dimitri communicates with Edred sometimes’ is somewhat true, I would even take into consideration the possibility of Dimitri being Edred’s wingman xD

Just imagine Dimitri trying to cheer up poor Edred because his love gave him ‘the STARE’ and then suggesting he should remind her of their first date and Edred is immediately like: YES, THAT’S IT! And then he whispers to his sword to do the thing we saw in the episode lol

Also, I wanted to add that the smile presented in this screen above is an expressio of pride that emerges from BOTH Edred and Dimitri. Maybe it is Edred’s smiling due to the fact he’s sure his plan to make Melinda love him again will come into fruition but my silly brain can’t help but wonder if Dimitri’s also content he is sitting in the first row and whitnessing a romance novel in live action lol

That being said, I’m lookng forward to Dimitri manifesting more often.

Elden ring + SotE lore rambles part 2 electric boogaloo

If you want, my first post was here, its not necessary to read it to understand but it might also interest you.

Alright, so ive been playing the dlc and thinking a lot about Miquella, Marika, godhood and everything. And in my first post, I speculated that the reason Miquella turns out to be the "bad guy" (big quotation marks bc theres not really an actual "good" here cmon guys its fromsoft were talking about) was because the path to godhood required him to fundamentally change as a person.

We do see how much change is required here, Miquella abandons huge parts of himself, both physical and emotional. But the part that interests me here is St Trina specifically. St Trina is a large part of who Miquella once was, shorn away and made into an entirely new person, cast away in Miquella's post to godhood.

Now that got me thinking, bc doesnt that sound familiar to you ? A young empyrean, casting away part of themselves to become a god, and that part becoming an entirely new person of the opposite gender ? Now where have i heard that before...

Oh hi Radagon, what are you doing here ?

Do you see where i'm going here ? The whole Radagon is Marika thing has been a topic of debate for a while now, and i dont want to toot my own horn here but i might have cracked the code.

I think Marika split Radagon from herself on her own path to godhood just as Miquella did with St Trina.

It works pretty well with every aspect of the lore so far. It explains the how in the Radagon is Marika thing, St Trina is somewhat antagonistic towards Miquella just as Radagon and Marika were somewhat antagonistic towards each other, I dont think either Radagon or St Trina are empyreans despite their other halves being so, etc etc. And we do see that St Trina is a whole ass different person which implies Radagon probably was as well.

FAQ - Eternal Servants AU

This post is mainly just to clarify some bigger questions for newcomers regarding my Lego Monkie Kid AU.

Check DISCLAIMER/CONTENT WARNINGS first if certain topics, such as the Nezha discourse, don't come up here.

This post is subject to be edited and changed. I may add more questions in the future.

Why are the characters' eyes void-black?

It's a sign of their infection having reached a certain point. It shows their personalities have been altered, and part of their memories erased, in a way. Their void-black eyes give them night vision, but are also a lot more sensitive to very bright lights.

Why do they all have a white streak in their hair?

It's the Judge's personal mark on the characters he is in charge of. They're deemed as "his creations", even if he hasn't actually physically created them. He has created and altered them specifically for the board. Characters with already white hair tend to have different signifying marks instead. Such as Ao Lie, who has dark green, fading into void black, claws. Those are the marks of the Guardian. Additionally, these have been present on the Champions before they even got infected.

How would the champions react if (insert clearly happy/sad scenario)?

Pretty sure I don't need to answer this as the answer would be clear. In general, the Champions react to mostly their Master's emotions and strife to make them as happy and comfortable as they can. Sometimes it does depend on the Champion and situation's context. But I've received a lot of asks where the response would pretty much be roughly the same reactions, and I'd rather not have to copy and paste the same response.

Why do the Champions have brandmarks?

Brandmarks, in the world of the species involved with the AU, are seen as honormarks that signify one's rank/status. The species in question is rather brutal and lives on a more raw and primal version of the "survival of the fittest" mentality. With their lack of resistance to heat and fire, they're branded as a way to show their rank or faction. Certain marks give more permissions and rights than others, and some may have obtained multiple marks. Brandmarks for them and the Champions are seen as honormarks, but the lowest ranks may disagree. In ESAU, it's the same concept since the palace has adopted many aspects of that species. Though, the process of obtaining these marks is ironically less painful than what the other species goes through.

When is the AU taking place?

The strange happenings started when the Monkey King vanished after having sealed the Demon Bull King away.

Where are the Lady Bone Demon and the Mayor? Are they behind this?

They're not behind the strange happenings nor do they have any influence on the Champions. There was an idea of adding them in a certain way to tell bonus lore. Though, they probably won't be officially added unless I decide to make a full-fledged story for the AU. Such as a full X Reader (not one-shots) or a comic series. Which was also an idea.

What are the rules set by the Judge? And why have they been put in place?

1: The Master must be fully human. For one, the Reader is the human being behind the screen. On top of that, the soul being used for the Master is the exact same human soul from my old Undertake X Reader books, such as "Castle's Pet". 2: The Master must not have powers/inhumane abilities. Again, the Reader is the human being behind the screen. This rule also serves as a way to balance out the dynamic between the Master and Servants. If they have powers, they're not in any need of powerful servants. That does not mean the Reader can't learn self-defense or use weapons you would see people use in real life. Some Champions even encourage this and would offer to teach their Master self-defense. 3: The Champions must not leave their own world. This rule applies to the canon, not any fanon crossovers that have no impact on the canon stories. It's been put in place to avoid the Master System from breaking. After all, if the Champions suddenly vanished from the board, the Master would be unable to play. On the other hand, the Master may leave the board, as long as the soul borrowed is being kept intact and being returned. 4: Upon the death of a Master, any related individuals to that Master must no longer stay in the palace. This rule is for the sake of the Master System. If a past Master's family or friends were to stay, and the next Master shows up, there would be a clash in storytelling. If a Reader's story as a new Master begins it shall not be 5: It is advised to adhere to the orders of an Overseer. If the Oracle appears with a task for a Champion, there is a reason for it. Be it to benefit the Champions, Master, or the game. Failing to comply may result in the Judge having to personally intervene. Though generally speaking, the Overseers won't intervene unless it's to preserve the Master System and make sure the next Master doesn't have to live with any extreme consequences left by a previous Master.

If a Master has children, what happens to those family members getting kicked out of the palace after the current Master dies?

If the children are from a non-Servant/someone from outside the palace, such as a person the Reader met before meeting their Champions, they can live on as normal. Other than being asked to leave the palace to make way for the next Master and not disturb the System, of course. If they're from a Servant, generally no Overseer would intervene either unless they children are immortal. If they're only mortal, the Champions are free to visit their children, but they must never forget where their priorities lie. If multiple Masters have children with the Champions, they usually don't stick around and visit for more than maybe one or two generations before putting their focus solely on their Master... Not that the chance of survival for the children would even be high enough to live till they're old anyway. The infection would get to the children too, and they're not as resilient as the Champions. If they're immortal and remain alive during the existence of multiple Master, this can clash with the life of future Masters and mess with the System. In such rarer cases, the Judge may appear and deal with the issue at hand himself. We don't go into the details.

How is a new Master selected?

Lore-wise, it's pretty much a randomized process as the Master's soul freely pick where and when to reincarnate. Realistically though, the Master is usually the person behind the screen. The AU allows for anyone behind the screen, no matter their gender, race, religion, sexuality, etc., to be a Master, if they so choose to be. Do keep in mind the unspoken rule of the Champions though. They may be willing to serve their Master no matter how they look like and all that, but that doesn't give the Reader a pass on being a piece of shit towards previous or future Masters. Such as disrespecting the shrine that has trinkets of previous Masters. It holds the exact same meaning as going up to another person and disrespecting them for being different from oneself. The Servants can still just kill their Master, after all. There's no rule saying they can't. There's no need for any big reason either. Being a jerk towards other Masters is all it takes. They can simply wait for the next Master and hope they're better.

I really love the "only kindness of Gold, without Order" line, it goes so deep and says so much despite dealing with such simple things.

Radagon, literally Golden Order, is a byproduct of Marika's ascension into a God.. but, she was simply a human (well, Numen) once. And she got to be that simple woman again, to... relive that state, upon visiting Shaman Village again. Here, and only here.

Marika got to be just a person long ago, but Radagon did not. He could never know or remember such things, he's only known the life of sentient law of nature. No wonder he could not.. fathom her wish to shatter him. There is no humanity as we know it to revert to, no beginning to mourn beyond birth of the Erdtree.

At the same time, kindness of Gold can exist without Order, but Order can't exist without kindness of Gold. It is GOLDEN Order! It is literally in the name! For this reason, I doubt he is all evil and oppression. He is good the way he is, borne of a mind and heart of a God who is "no wiser than a human".

Although her intentions were sympathetic, it was... selfish, to take it away from the rest of the world, only because now something hurt her personally. Not she wished for Demigods or Tarnisheds to come and make a better Order than hers on the place of broken one, after all. Two Fingers and Melina did. She wished for primordial chaos ("to struggle for eternity", "to find a way to kill God"(herself)).

Even then, who has the mind so proper that their vision will make a perfect world, instead of just their version of corrupt one? Golden Order "failed" only because a human mind "fails". Imperfections, unfairness, limitations of mind, maledictions, pain, biases, all the corners... worth enduring for, worth suffering because of. Worth embracing. Because there are also kindness and love and warmth. HER kindness, love and warmth. Which HE physically can't exist without either. I'd say, yeah, dude, go for it and fight for your right to exist. Because it was selfish.

For all tears, for many being dealt a losing hand - better design... than cold, bland, soulless perfection of some rocks in space or grand cosmic energy, no matter what people like Ymir or Goldmask say about the Golden Order. And a better design than primordial chaos of absence of any Order.
