Boruto asks Koji why not tell everyone everything he see that happens in future, Koji says the more people that know it, the more the nature of that future will change, once you know a future, you can no longer act the same as before you knew, instead it will branch in complex ways, making it even more difficult to predict, to the point of completely negating the advantage of foreseeing the future via Prescience, for better or worse to know the future, leads to the act of destroying it, and in particular the more futures you know, the greater you diverge from the track called fate, and become a singularity a heretical existence, which makes the future unstable, so its better for most folks to not know anything, for things to proceed towards a good future, and the duty of we singularities of fate, is to aid the paths to good futures from the shadows, Him, Boruto and Eida have become a Singularity of Fate.

May I ask for extreme details on the age swap au? I'm not sure how it works.

Is it just effecting the Konoha 12, their teachers and maybe the sand siblings and a few notable shibobi? So those who were 12-13 are now 26 and the 26-27 year olds are now the students? Did the Uchiha massacre still happen if so, how? The issues that lead up to it were complicated, but I don't think they would have happened if Naruto/his father was alive. Is Minato still alive as the 4th Hokage? Did he die with Kushina again and was Naruto an orphan? Who released the nine tails if Madara was too old and Obito is now itty bitty.

How did Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke react to growing up in a time of war instead of a time of peace, especially in one of the most bloodiest wars in the ninja world. Is Itachi alive? Is he in his 30's and still flicking Sasuke in the face and embarrassing him in punlic,, or did he succumb to his chakra disease early in life?

Sakumo must have been alive and was a peer to Naruto, at most he would be a bit older. Were they friends? Did Naruto try to talk-no-jutsu him out of Suicide? The village's view on teammates vs. Missions seems to have pivoted after the 3rd great shinobi war where, at least in Konoha, friendships and teammates meant more than the mission. Maybe not for everyone, but probably due to the overwhelming loses everyone's POV shifted and they seem to care for each other a lot more. Would he feel the same pressure to commit suicide and leave his baby boy if less people turned their back on him?

Were Dai and Lee friends?! Rivals?! BROTHERS?! On the same team at one point?! Did Lee learn the gates from Dai?! Or was Dai just Lee's father in this and Gai was Lee's secret half brother/ a random village kid with no relation to Dai?

If Madara was still alive that means the reincarnation of indra and asura could not be Naruto and Sasuke. Who are they now? Is it Obito and Kakashi? Are they destined to stop the cycle of hatred and bring peace to the ninja world?!

I'm sorry I have so many questions, but the characters of Naruto are deeply entwined with their world and the time in which they grew up. Their environment ends up shaping who they become. So unlike a lot of stories, I think just switching the character rolls and places it a little harder in a age swap like this where almost every character has a pivotal roll in the time they grew up.

I hope this was not a rude ask.

It’s not really hard at all to change things.

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura grew up in war and are a little rougher around the edges because of it but otherwise the exact same personalities. Naruto is a sunshine personality, Sakura has anger issues but is a top notch medical ninja, and it’s Sasuke who takes Obito’s place.

Kakashi and Obito are the reincarnations, but instead of it just being them who can fix everything in the end Rin actually plays a role in fighting and helping them beat Kaguya instead of just being sent in the end to stop her with a punch.

Madara still dies and the reincarnation cycle starts anew with Kakashi and Obito.

Sakumo and Dai are more Sensei age, just as Minato is Sensei age for Kakashi, Naruto and Rin.

Minato and Kushina are well known shinobi who were skilled and ruthless, but Minato never becomes Hokage here. It’s Sakumo who takes the title of the fourth and through a very skilled Naruto who has grown a lot (and is a few years older) and had a chance to learn uzumaki techniques from his mother is able to seal the Kyubi into Kakashi. (kakashi is the ninetails here)

Dai would have been Lee’s Sensei and someone who picked Lee up as a student before he left the academy and helped him train. He’s not actually Lee’s official Sensei, but he is the one who takes him under his wing and teaches him his style, and then has Gai later when Lee is around 14. So lee is not blood related but a big part of Gai’s life.

Hiruzen is still the third (honestly i don’t see Tsunade, Sakumo or Minato going through with the massacure at all so it has to stay him) with Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru still being the Sannin (though i do have fic with Danzo being the one Kakashi leaves the village to train under, but that is not for this)

Sakumo was Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura’s Sensei and although Sasuke ‘died’ young Sakumo kept a good connection with Naruto and Sakura and refused to allow Hiruzen to set asude some of their stringest shinobi during the Kyubi attack.

They were good enough to fight in a war when they were 10, they are good enough to help protect the village rather than being force to stand around and watch people die knowing they can’t do shit.

Naruto used the Reaper death seal, and i know ‘he was supposed to die’ but like, f*** that i think that Sakumo shoved him out of the way and the death god actually accepted that for some unexplainable reason and took Sakumo instead (who was dying anyways as he was the previous jinchurriki)

just saw your anon answer (different anon here), so i know that kakashi didn't ask jiraya to take naruto. that being said, that would've been great for my headcanon of kakashi's character, which is: since the moment they met, kakashi fuckin hated this naruto with the power of a thousand suns.

hear me out.

you can imagine, sure, maybe he did blame naruto somewhat for killing his beloved teacher/hokage. but, it's even funnier if you think of kakashi as a petty 26-year-old queer man who holds a forever grudge against this annoying brat for dropping an eraser on his head. it spiraled into having a "bitch eating crackers" relationship with his 12 year old coworker/student from there, to the point that he hated the little shit enough to never tell him about his parents.

like, canon supports that he didn't even start to like naruto until the waterfall training with yamato in shippuden, and then naruto takes that tiny bit of "actually, maybe this kid isn't as bad as i thought, maybe I'm starting to like him" in the most homophobic way possible.

I'm not sure if this theory holds any water, but i find it hilarious.

Oh- as a theory.. I cannot imagine Kakashi blaming Naruto of all people for killing Minato. Y'know, his own father? As a... few hour year-old baby? He didn't? If anyone suffered from losing Minato it was Naruto because he had to grow up without him which I'm sure Kakashi can sympathize with.. I dunno what a "bitch eating cracker"-relationship is, but that or the eraser prank being the reason for him not telling about his parents seems pretty cruel ;-; Characters need a good reason for doing what they're doing, including keeping a secret. Like Naruto refusing to tell Sakura more about Akatsuki (lmao). If a reader can't relate with that it feels off, right? We know why the villagers kept quiet.. and in that sense, Kakashi wasn't special. I could understand wanting to raise the stakes in that regard in a Headcanon because it would make a character (or villager of Konoha in this case) look like less of an asshole. But I wouldn't put that on Naruto.

Why? Because he said with words "I like you now"? If that's the case then he said that earlier on already too. And what makes you think Kakashi doesn't 'like' Naruto...?

Which is even more emphasized during the Shinobi war-arc where he is at times on the brink of giving up but pulled out of desperation purely by Naruto's "ninja way". I uh actually made a list of everything I would consider to be a sasunaru/narusasu moment the last time i watched the first part of Naruto so here’s the list:

sasunaru moments in Part 1 (trimmed):

1. The kiss obviously

2. Sasuke blushing a bit when Naruto was the first one to go after Kakashi’s bells

3. Sasuke being the first one offering to feed Naruto his lunch despite the potential detriment to his ninja career

4. Sasuke teasing Naruto after saving him from an assassin which inspired Naruto to be stronger and declare he won’t be scared anymore which in turn makes Sasuke acknowledge Naruto more after he stabs his hand to eject the poison

6. Their team up against Zabuza

7. Naruto skipping meal time and Sasuke going to get him on his own without being told to

10. Naruto and Sasuke coming home together holding each other up after another day of training

12. Naruto crashing into Haku’s jutsu to fight with Sasuke

13. Sasuke covering Naruto from Haku’s attack and when Naruto asks him why he did that he privately thinks to himself about all the moments they shared with each other, the kiss being the first thing he remembers, before saying his body just moved on its own all and then dying in Naruto‘s arms

14. Naruto being so upset saddened and enraged by Sasuke‘s death that he unleashes the Kyuubi energy for the first time ever while cradling Sasuke‘s head and crying from happiness when Sasuke turns out to be alive

15. -Naruto is no longer antagonistic towards Sasuke after land of the waves

16. Naruto and Sasuke blushing at each other after they get back to Konoha because of how dramatic they were and Sakura is like “wtf is going on.”

18. Naruto gets eaten by the big snake and after going over the faces of the people he will never see again if he dies, the last person he thinks of is Sasuke and he’s the only one who gets a clip show of the moments they spent together. The kiss is the first thing he remembers

22. Shikamaru being able to quell Naruto’s discontent by reminding him the next match is Sasuke’s which makes him excited and he roots for Sasuke again

23. Sasuke launching himself behind Naruto so he doesn’t hit the tree while fighting Gaara

24. Sasuke makes sure Sakura knows it’s Naruto who saved her from Gaara

25. Even though he was upset that he wasn’t as strong as Naruto during the Gaara fight, he drops everything to look for Naruto after he learns Itachi is back. When he checks Naruto‘s apartment, Sakura is there. He asks her where Naruto is and when she says she doesn’t know he ignores what else she’s trying to say and goes off again, asking for clues around town and quickly sets off as soon as he gets a lead

26. He goes around every inn asking for Naruto

27. Naruto is the first one to move and the only one concerned about Sasuke getting beat up by Itachi and finally brings himself to do something after hearing Sasuke scream in agony even though he knew he stood no chance with his chakra sealed off and was scared before

28. Naruto going to catch Sasuke from falling to the floor and gently setting him down

29. Naruto finding the conviction and courage to stand up to the Akatsuki after seeing the state Itachi left Sasuke in and becoming enraged. And his concern for his well-being in general

30. Naruto setting off on a journey to find Tsunade, who is supposed to be able to heal Sasuke from the psychological damage he took fighting Itachi and getting excited when he’s finally able to bring her to him

33. Naruto is enraged when he hears Sasuke left the village and doesn’t hesitate to be a part of the retrieval squad

35. Naruto getting frustrated to the point of impulsivity when Kimimaro intercepts Sasuke’s barrel. “Give sasuke back!!” while Shikamaru tries to tell him to calm down

36. Naruto refusing to let Sasuke go when he’s out of the barrel and trying to defect

37. Naruto didn’t want to believe that Sasuke actually wanted to kill him but after feeling how Sasuke tried to go at him with his Chidori at full power he became so sad he couldn’t move

38. Naruto recalling how when they were younger, he learned Sasuke was alone like him he felt relieved and happy. He wanted to call out to him but was intimidated by how good Sasuke was at everything so he instead made him his rival. The first time Sasuke acknowledged Naruto’s strength made him happy. All this to say the entire time he liked Sasuke. The whole time. Even when he was being antagonistic. He said Sasuke was his “goal” woww

39. “I don’t want to give Sasuke up to someone like Orochimaru” wwooooowww naruto wowwwwww

40. ((Releasing kyuubi energy and leaking tears from his eyes with an enraged expression)) “I don’t care if I have to rip off all of your limbs, I’m not letting you go to/giving you to Orochimaru!!” woooooooooooowwww narutoooooooooo.

41. When Naruto and Sasuke do the Chidori Rasengan and they’re in that ethereal bubble. The friendship handshake thing happens with them as younger kids and they both smile

42. When Naruto is unconscious Sasuke is about to say something before keeling over in pain from the Chidori and finds himself staring into Naruto’s closed eyes in that iconic shot that keeps being reused in the openings for a good 30 seconds straight

43. Even though Sasuke earlier said he would do anything it takes to attain more power to defeat Itachi he doesn’t kill Naruto and says he’ll find another way to get stronger even though he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to get the mangekyo sharingan using any other method as he limps away.

44. The first thing Naruto does when he wakes up is ask Kakashi where Sasuke is

45. Naruto cradling (preciously holding) Sasuke’s headband while in the hospital bed

46. Naruto makes Jiraiya take him on the training trip to get stronger explicitly naming his desire to get Sasuke back despite Jiraiya saying he wouldn’t take him if he did after making sure he would have the time because he wanted to go get Sasuke back immediately after he was healed

When they reunite for the first time in Shippuden

Naruto asked Sasuke why he didn’t kill him back then he was like “the reason is simple…” and closes his eyes and lifts his head up as if he’s trying to come up with something to say. “I spared your life on a passing whim” RIGHT after the flashback of him spending 20 minutes staring into Naruto’s closed eyes, (even blinking at a certain point to let us know time was indeed passing).

In a flash he moves down to where everyone is, so fast that Sakura is like “when did he get there??” Just to drape his arm over Naruto’s shoulder in the gayest way possible and whisper into his ear “while you were chasing me I studied the blade”. And as he pulls that sword out, when he swings it he moves so slowly that everyone is able to react.

When Orochimaru stops him from his halfhearted attempt at fighting he and Naruto stare at each other the whole time they disappear without breaking eye contact.

There’s so much more in shippuden but oh my god dude oh my g

Naruto hot takes part 3: can I PLEASE get a waffle?

1) Kushina and Minato’s relationship was so fucked up. Like seriously she was a genocide survivor and he was a literal war criminal who killed thousands of people. 2) Also the fucking power imbalance - Minato was a prodigy, chosen young to be the Third Hokage’s successor, had close ties to the three Sannin aka the most powerful ninja in Konoha, and seemed to have some connection to the Second Hokage. Kushina may have been a Jinjuuriki, but she was also a refugee without a family or connections. 3) Also Minato was probably a psychopath lmao. He literally doesn’t care about anyone’s problems unless they’re shoved in his face, has no reaction to two of his students literally dying, and puts the third one - as a traumatized child - in murder corps. 4) Yk if he was alive he probably would have been a dad in a similar way as Principal Asano from Assassination Classroom. 5) Konoha probably had a part to play in Ushizo’s demise and it’s why no one ever mentions them despite that the literal Hokage was married to an Uzumaki. 6) Sasuke isn’t the amazing radical savior his fandom think he is lol. 7) Yeah, he was the closest to a radical character throughout the series, but the second he found out why Itachi decided killing his whole clan was a good idea he immediately sided with him and never questioned any of his decisions. When he did claim to want a revolution, his ideas were a) becoming a dictator (Kage) or b) killing everyone in Konoha. 8) He has every right to be mad and you could probably make him an actual revolutionary easily, but still lol. 9) Shikaku was a kind of bad dad based on what hints we get of Shikamaru’s home life. 10) Literally everyone’s characterization - Sakura included - was more interesting, well rounded, and had more potential in Part 1 than Part 2. 11) Sakura should have been a ROOT agent. It makes a lot of sense, especially in Part 1. 12) For how interesting Sai’s backstory was there was very little point to his character. The only reason he was there was to be Sasuke’s replacement. 13) The fact that he could have and should have been more is true, but he wasn’t. 14) Tsunade had a shit ton of privilege as both a Senju and the granddaughter of the First Hokage and that really should have been explored. 15) Both Jiraiya and Orochimaru give me pedophile vibes and I do not like it. 16) There was literally no reason why basically all of the Rookie 9 had to be clan heirs. It makes no sense. 17) Sarutobi Hiruzen was probably senile and should probably never be seen ever again. Please someone destroy his face on that stupid Hokage Wall or whatever it’s called. 18) Hashirama wasn’t the happy-go-lucky guy everyone seems to think he is lol. He was manipulative as hell and probably killed a shit ton of people. 19) The Last is a really stupid movie that showcases all of Studio Perriot’s fetishes in like two hours. 20) The one thing that is realistic is Hinata caring more about knitting a scarf for ‘N-naruto kun’ than her sister being kidnapped. 21) Both Sakura and Hinata are shittily written characters who’s entire arcs in-story revolve around guys. The difference is Hinata is a slave owner and Sakura knows jack shit about politics because no one tells her anything. 22) Hey Kishimoto give your main heroine an actual fucking thematic and plot relevant role that makes her equal to her male teammates as she’s literally supposed to be as their deuteragonist challenge. 23) Oh yeah Rin being a ROOT agent also makes a lot of sense. 24) Please sort out Naruto’s backstory. Did he have no friends or were Shikamaru, Kiba, and Chouji his friends? Did he not give a shit about Hinata or did he save her from a copy-pasted version of Sakura’s backstory? Please. 25) Naruto isn’t empathetic at all he just trauma dumps on everyone and expects them to gush over his oh-so-sad backstory because he had it the worst out of everyone, awwww. 26) And the worst part is it works lmaoo. 27) Kakashi has white man energy. 28) The whole reincarnation plotline was stupid and added absolutely nothing other than making Naruto’s whole thing about being an ‘underdog’ even more obsolete as he was literally destined for power. 29) Honestly if the ramen girl (Ayame?) was younger I probably would have shipped her and Naruto. It would’ve been cute. 30) Fugaku wasn’t abusive lol. Yeah, he wasn’t a perfect dad, but he did care about his kids and didn’t purposefully hurt them. The only reason people make him out to be Sasuke’s abuser is so they can make Itachi into this uwu savior instead of a nationalist responsible for a genocide.

But when he returns to his home village, he discovers he has been gone for at least 100 years. When he opens the forbidden jewelled box (tamatebako), given to him by Otohime on his departure, he turns into an old man.

Sai : [My name is Hatake Kakashi. Today is my first important mission. We must make achievements, so that’s why teamwork is important. This is the first time I team up with Choza-san and Shibi-san, so I immediately gave those two people nicknames. Obviously Choza-san is ‘fatty’]

Kakashi : The protagonist has become you. Well, although Choza-san is indeed fat, but not to the extent of Chouji.

Naruto : That bathtub, does this feel like it’s started to go beyond the pure love route?

Sakura : [Across the steam of hot water, the Queen gradually took off her clothes and submerged herself into the water. That’s like the ancient text says, Mirage in The Dessert, dreamlike scene. Of course I can’t look directly at the scene. But I want to see! But I shouldn’t look. I want to see! I can’t look! Can’t, can’t can’t!] THAT'S RIGHT, KAKASHI SENSEI YOU CAN'T LOOK! Naruto : The target is Kakashi-sensei’s true face!

Conclusion: Sasuke is amazing and the goat and stuff but he didn't rll kill anyone did he

(might be cuz he literally saw hundreds of corpses when he was seven and so he was obv deeply traumatized and prob disagreed with killing other ppl. This comes back in the Manga too, but the anime unnecessarily makes him kill random characters to make him look colder. Idk)

anyways at the time of shippuden the youngest he could be is 32-34. this is assuming he immediately had a kid when he was 18. and then, that kid, since the grandson is the same age as boruto-

if 32, then the kid would be two years younger than our main cast/naruto, who got married at 19 and had a kid at 20. yaguras kid would be 18.

if 34, which is what ive been going with because its significantly easier to calculate generation wise, then they would also be 20 at the time of having their kid/the grandson. same age as naruto.

the biggest issue is... how did he. have. the kid like im fairly sure he was already being controlled when he was 18? if we go with 34, since we dont know the ages of kakashi and rin when That incident happened.. i just went with 14 for rin. so then yagura would also be 14 when switching hosts and taking over but also being controlled?

the only possibility uhh... maybe its like. a raiden puppet thing?? they were obviously really busy with other matters and they dont give us the specifics of Oh yeah we were controlling this guy at ALL but. yeah maybe they just gave him some commands and left him and then he went and had a kid with some poor, poor person?

given his.. status, its either he didnt know about the kid at all, and he was presumably being controlled from such a young age maybe he got fucking married before having the kid and just Straight Up doesnt know about any of that, orrr he. one night standed and the person knew that this is yaguras kid and later that kid told THEIR kid aka the grandchild that hey thats your grandfather

the issue is how long was he "leading" for? the bloody mist era started when zabuza graduated. he was 9 when he graduated, and 26 when we meet him in the first part, so he would be like. 29-30ish in shippuden. if kakashi is 31 in shippuden, and rin would be 34, which means yagura is also 34, which means he is around 4-5 years older. or 2-3 years older if 32.

the reason why i went with 34 over 32 is because 12 is a bit early for All of that, it is still possible though?? idk??? either way, when bloody mist started, yagura was 11-14. which is why the having a kid part is weird. he wasnt concious for that at all if he was already under control when he was under 18

edit: OH YEAH and if 34, he wouldve died at around 30, pretty sure? i think during the chuunin exams they mentioned something like that

1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?

It looks like I started writing in 2017. I've been reflecting recently on how there are so many regularly active writers now compared to in 2017-2018. It was the tail-end of some of my fave writer's activity within fandom. Utsus was posting less and less. The Tumblr NaruHina fandom seemed to disappear, a whole community of writers left for other things (matchaball, nekomamoru, magmawrites, cherryjutsu, spyder-m, tenney-shoes, eliphya, among others). 2018 was a very quiet year, but! I avidly read katarinahime and bunnyhoodlum's works! In 2019, quirrrky restarted things with NaruHina Week!

2. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both?

Recently I’m primarily a reader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because there's so many writers now!!!!!!!!

3. Are there any fics that inspired you to write what you do?

Yeah, let’s list them. “A Special Friend” by agitosgirl inspired “Nightdreams. “Medicine” by @grimmjowkurosakidrake inspired “White Lilies. “Torch Song” by @mmmbuttery inspired “About You.” The language in “Unless the World Were to End” by @bunny-hoodlum inspired the language in “That was the plan.” “In Between Drinks” by @peppercornpress inspired “In Between Drinks NH.”

“Operation: Bring Home Naruto” by Dragonwannabe - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Complete. Hinata's been assigned the mission of getting Naruto back home safely after his last dangerous assignment. But can she handle the undercover identity as his girlfriend that she’d been given without revealing her true feelings for him?

“The Mission” by Lunawraythe - Rated M, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. It wasn't that Hinata never expected to work with Naruto, just never on a mission quite like this.

“The Loving Type” by @peppercornpresses - Rated M, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. A few years have passed since the Fourth Shinobi War, in which...Rookie Nine steadily advances in rank. Naruto gets engaged. Hinata leaves Konoha. And Kakashi schemes for days.

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

ahhh. I do have quite a few pet peeves. If the fic is Canon-Compliant or Canon-Divergent, I expect Naruto and Hinata to behave like Japanese people. Say what you want, but the Naruto Universe is definitely Japanese in my book. So that means no shoes in the house. Nothing rattles me more than reading Hinata taking her sandals off before climbing into bed. Like, what? she was wearing her outdoor shoes indoors this whole time??

mmm... another pet peeve is when the writer describes Hinata in a kimono, but it sounds like an American Halloween costume, like the slutty version, instead of an actual kimono.

mmm... and the other big pet peeve I have is when it’s Hinata’s first time eating ramen because Naruto is showing her the wonders of ramen. lol. why. how. in what world would a Japanese person make it to their teenage years without ever eating ramen.

I have a bunch of other little pet peeves regarding Japanese culture in fanfics. But in general, it doesn’t stop me from reading the fic if I'm already in the middle of it. I’ll continue reading it and will probably recommend it to other people anyway. If I can tell based on the summary, then it's not for me, and I don't read it. If this makes anyone feel nervous about writing fanfiction, that's not my intention! I would also be happy to be a sensitivity reader if necessary.

6. How do you find new fic to read? Where do you primarily read fanfiction?

I primarily read fanfics on AO3 and ffnet. I find new ones by constantly checking the Hyuuga Hinata/Uzumaki Naruto tag on AO3 or looking into a writer’s favorites list on ffnet.

7. Do you prefer to read short fics or long fics?

Short fics.

8. How often do you reblog/comment on fics that you like?

I reblog pretty often. I don't comment as often as I used to😕 I used to comment on every fic I liked.

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

Uhh?? Idk. I think recently the writing group here is pretty tight, everyone seems to know everyone.

10. What’s your favorite fandom, pairing, or character to read fic for?

Naruto fandom and NaruHina.

11. How do you come up with your fic titles?

I usually take it from words used in the story or from the prompt.

12. Tell the author your favorite fic title of theirs (not the fic, strictly title). Author: what’s your favorite title you’ve come up with and why?

I think...maybe "Tell Me of Forevers" or "Nightdreams." I like those because they aren't taken word-for-word directly from the story, but touch on a theme in the story.

13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?

Yes, I outline. They wouldn't get a headache, I think. It's usually just a summary.

14. Do you have a personal word minimum that you hold yourself too? Why or why not?

Nope. I didn't know people do that.

15. Tell the author your favorite fic of theirs. What’s your (the author’s) favorite fic you’ve written?

My favorite fic continues to be "It's No Secret."

16. Do you research for your fics? If so, how deep of a rabbit hole have you gone down by accident when researching?

Yes, I do. I've done historical and folktale research for "Little Samurai." I did area/location research for "Last Chance." I did historical research for "About You." I did fairy tale research for "Catskin." I did a ton of astronomy research for "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl." And I did lighting research for "Inspo." I go pretty deep.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

I don't. I usually have something else I need to do or I go to bed.

18. Do you have a WIP that you keep telling yourself you’ll eventually get back to, but deep down you know that’s probably a lie?

I actually think I can finish all of mine if I just try.

19. Do you edit your fics after you write them, or do you prefer to just hit post and run (because it’s someone else’s problem now)?

I always edit before posting to AO3. Anything I post directly on Tumblr might not be edited.

20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

Posting!

21. What’s your least favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

Starting a new chapter.

22. Do you take fic requests? If so, for what characters and why?

On occasion. If someone sends me a request, I'll think about writing it. Sometimes I do write and post it, sometimes I leave them in my drafts for a better day.

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

From what I already have posted, probably friends-to-lovers, secret relationship/forbidden love, or high school au. I don't think I have an intentional favorite.

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

Public humiliation / public degradation.

25. Do you listen to music as you write? If possible, link your writing playlist.

No, not usually.

26. What’s your biggest distraction when writing?

Tumblr feed, all the pictures to scroll through mindlessly.

27. Do you like to give your readers some warning of what might be coming or just slap them in the face with content at random?

lol, whatever is fine.

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

Well, pressure to update is not a big deal to me. I do this for fun, so I don't think I unnecessarily pressure myself too much. With negative comments, I don't get too many of those, and I think I do my best to avoid situations where I might get negative feedback.

29. Have you ever written for an exchange or event of some kind? Which one(s)? Did you enjoy it?

Yeah, I like the events. My favorite was NH2020, the year-long one last year. I also enjoyed the Secret Santa last year since @badluckbrebis was my giftee.

30. Post a snippet from your current WIP without context - no more than 300 words.

Top 3 faves in order:

That was the plan: "She shifts in his arms, and cloth and cleavage come pillowing up to his face, and he’s certain that she’s scooped from the same puffy stuff his adolescent daydreams were made of."

Tell Me of Forevers: "What he wouldn’t do to inspire every blush, every smile of hers for an eternity when such moments already only speak “forever” to him."

White Lilies: "Whether at his feet, in his eyes, ears, mind, if not reaching his heart, she never landed anywhere. (It’s okay.)"

I consider "White Lilies" to have my technically best writing, so it was kind of hard to choose just one line from that fic! But I decided that one's my favorite line from the whole story.

33. What do you like writing better: one shots or multi-chapter stuff?

One-shots.

34. How much of yourself and your life experiences do you put into your writing? What do you think your readers’ image of you is?

A lot of my life experiences are in my writing. Hmm, I think readers probably think I'm...hmm...either empathetic or really perverted?

35. How much has writing fic changed your life?

I spend a lot less time on real-life social media than before.

36. Are there any fics or fandoms you’re embarrassed to have written or been part of?

I'm kind of embarrassed of "Honeymoon at the Hot Springs" lol. It's fine.

37. Give an update on your current WIP - if you don’t have one, give a sneak peek to a title or idea that you have and would like to write.

My current WIP is that A/B/O fic I started for February Smut Month Prompts: Sweet as Candy or Love Bites. I'm going to title it "Sweet As," and it'll be about how Naruto and Hinata become Alpha/Omega mates. It's really kinky, really smutty, and totally what I would want to read.

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

uhh???? a 1?? I've never once thought of my writing process as chaotic. Ahh, then I think of bunnyhoodlum's multiple drafts for the same chapter, and I realize that there exist types of writing processes that I would not be able to handle...

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

My smut.

Idk about Tumblr,,, maybe White Lilies got the most attention here. My most popular fic is Nightdreams on AO3.
