since I'm only watching the serials that I really want to I've skipped ahead to mark of the rani and I must ask. what in the everloving hell is peri wearing

#it's not 1810s. at least. it takes inspiration from it but it's really not 1810s #her bodice really seems more 1520s menswear. slash and puffed and the texture too #I just checked when this serial would be set and it's c. 1814. her bodice's main colour at least is accurate if a fashion plate is #to be believed. but like. her waistline is too low those sleeves are. again it's really 1520s slash and puff #it's not inaccurate in its shapes but it seems to be a hodgepodge of various styles and I don't think I'm seeing anything that looks like i #in full #hell I've just stumbled across a fashion plate that looks VERY similar to what peri wears and it's so different!#skirt shape is different (though if this were the 1820s it would be more accurate) sleeves are different for daywear no bonnet #her skirt's too short and those heels. not only would those heels be evil for running in the early 19th century favoured a flatter shoe

oh dude this is so sad i love the reboot so so much sure it isn't perfect but it's such a comfy show im going to miss it so much :'(

AND ON A CLIFFHANGER??? PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CLIFFHANGERS ICARLY HAS EVER DONE??? WE WERE GOING TO SEE HER MUM. WHY.

shows being cancelled pisses me off so hard because they don't even care that the story isn't over, that everyone involved had more story to tell it's just a stupid money decision it makes me so mad, like is it that much of a financial loss to just let a show finish what they started???

the icarly reboot has like 10 episodes per season, 20 minutes each how much can it possibly cost to make one more. all i want is the cliffhanger to be resolved and the characters to be left with a stable and coherent future ahead of them is that too much to ask???

THIS CLIFFHANGER HAS BEEN BUILT UP TO SINCE THE BEGINNING. I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT CARLY'S MUM.

I find it kind of stupid how 'half full' vs 'half empty' is framed as an optimist/pessimist thing. If it starts full and gets halfway drained, it's half empty. If it starts empty and gets halfway filled, it's half full. If you don't know the starting state it's both simultaneously.
