I don't understand the lack of self-awareness in some people. You can't call something shallow and superficial just because you lack reading comprehension skills lmao. Or because you're too far up on your own ass to see everything that's carefully crafted in scenes and sub text such that when the creator finally decided to spell it out for such dumbasses they end up calling it superficial and to "show not tell" lmao. Its blatantly shown, you just chose to blind yourself to it.

Varia Bedroom Headcanons
@myrmyrtheorca @childe-of-saulot @tangomagnolija @unwrathful @srtruth
I gotta be fully honest, accidentally put all my energy into Mammon's room lol. I tried to spread the love, I did, but how I imagine a lot of their rooms can be summed up quickly. Meanwhile, Viper's has layers lol.
Viper/Mammon
Viper’s room is painted in dark indigos and deep violets, making it look really dim. Also making it look dim is the fact they only keep about three lamps in there in total and all the tapestries on the walls and ceiling. Most of these tapestries are old items from the others. A stitched up blanket Squalo had once ripped in frustration, old curtains Lussuria tried to toss out because he didn’t like them anymore, and other items of categories like that. In fact, that’s how they get a lot of their furniture. Wobbly coffee tables fixed via putting a book under it, an electric fan that only works half the time, and stuff like that. There’s a chest at the foot of their bed full of old uniforms and clothes. Bel’s old uniform from when he was a kid? They have that. Some clothes Lussuria planned to donate to a thrift store? Mammon’s got them tucked away. They might have a bit of a hoarding problem… But that’s something to be addressed another time!
They have the second biggest bed in the Varia base, the number one spot obviously belonging to Xanxus. It’s a canopy bed, only adding to the things that hang down in their room. The bed is also pressed right up against a wall that has a window seat that they’ve added more cushions and pillows to. They mostly sleep on said window seat, mostly using their bed as glorified storage space for things like books and their money. The bed is also home to their copious amounts of blankets, yet again, mostly ones they’ve stolen from the others or ones they’ve put back together.
The crowning jewel of their room though simply must be all their books and trinkets. If a shelf isn’t stuffed full of books and reading materials, it’s lined with little things they’ve found. Almost every surface in the room has trinket trays that hold a cacophony of things. Little metal thread spools, cheap rings, cool rocks, and more. You can find just about anything in their room! In fact, it’s practically guaranteed if you lose something small in the Varia base that it’ll end up in their room. Good luck getting it back though, they don’t like others getting into their room.
TYl/Future Arc Fran
Fran actually keeps a lot of the things from Mammon’s room there still. He lessens how many blankets he uses, removes a lot of the tapestries, and little changes like that. But the most he adds to the room are little things like posters or his own odd decor and trinkets he finds.
Belphegor
So! In canon, he’s ranked the second in having the messiest room, so ignoring the mess that’ll be there! I feel his room is, rather stereotypically for him, painted in a deep red. He doesn’t have much in terms of furniture outside of his bed, a desk, a tv, and an armchair. He does however have a ton of posters and pictures on his walls. Bands he’s listened to once, tv shows he’s never fully finished, pictures of missions he liked, and more. Though, the set of photos he likes the most and that he has hidden in a corner of his room under a poster are photos of him and the rest of the Varia. He finds it too cheesy to admit to any of them how much he likes the pictures, hence the hiding.
One of his odder decor pieces is a dart board that he uses for knife practice when he’s bored. The wall around it has holes from said practice that he claims are intentional. Whether that’s the truth or not, no one knows as he never uses it when there’s someone else in the room.
He does have some fairy lights in his room, but he doesn’t use them often. 1. Because he yet again doesn’t want the others to know about them. 2. Because I personally headcanon as having a sensitivity to light for various reasons. Maybe him and his brother throwing rocks at each other’s heads as kids wasn’t the best idea… But that’s a health problem to be handled later!
Lussuria
(For pronoun clarification, I use all pronouns for Lussuria lol) His room is the definition of cozy and warm. Lots of warm colors that aren’t too bright, sun shaped wall decor, lots of mirrors. I imagine her room either has multiple windows or one big one, either way, it gets a lot of natural light. They also have a lot of potted plants like succulents, an assortment of fresh herbs, different flowers, and some ivy. Lussuria also has a collection of soft things, normally those plush things you can microwave to help with muscle aches. They help her a lot after training sessions or missions when she can’t use too much Sun flames.
Levi A Than
I’ll be fully honest, I have very few headcanons for Levi’s room. He’s a hard character to decorate for. However!! I feel like his room would be green, but like a dark and dull green. And obviously, he has a Xanxus shrine/a lot of photos of him on one of his walls. Also we know in canon he has and uses 116 alarm clocks apparently. So I can only imagine he has enough surface space to match. So either, a lot of tables or they’re set up all around his room and even on some shelves. Outside of that, he really just feels like the type of guy to keep his room rather plain.
Squalo Superbia
Much like the others, I feel like Squalo’s room color matches his flames. However, it’s far more of a grey-blue than a bright blue like Rain flames. He also feels like the kind of guy to keep things simple. A desk with a chair, some framed photos, rather average bedding, and such. The stand out feature of his room is his giant fish tank that takes up a good chunk of the room. Whether he simply has multiple fish or some mini sharks, they’re painfully spoiled for aquatic pets. Only the best for his babies! This also means in his room there’s always the faint sound of his tank’s filter.
Xanxus
And finally, the darling boss’ room! Breaking the trend of his subordinates, I feel like his room is a dark color like a deep grey or black. And, as mentioned in Viper/Mammon’s section, his bed is the biggest. I feel like he keeps his room rather simple, but not plain. Fancy style dressers, stylized shelves, and things like that. Things you’d expect to see from someone given not only his personality, but also given the fact he was raised to be Vongola Decimo. Plus, look at the dramatic chairs he has in canon. His other furniture simply has to match.

so I finally started watching the Halo tv series and I have some thoughts
Not Transformers related, but FUCKIN HELL I need to vent this SOMEWHERE because none of my friends have watched it. Ok.
The acting is ok, but no one's winning any awards, that's for sure lol.
The world building does *not* feel grounded in the Halo universe tbh. It feels more like a Star Wars setting, what with all the whacky haircuts and outfits, which I found pretty jarring because part of what grounded the Halo games was that the humans--even the ones that lived on planets other than Earth--were more utilitarian-centered in terms of fashion.
They want me to root for Kwan so badly, but they've given me no solid reason to so far, and I'm halfway through Season 1. I get that the writers are trying to make her seem like an edgy teenager, but tbh she just comes across as shitty, rude, and entitled most of the time? Which is, of course, no fault of the actress's whatsoever. This is purely the fault of the writers--Kwan's actress is just doing her best with the lackluster material she's been given, and our girl deserves nothing short of admiration for that lol.
Another thing about Kwan's story: it feels mind-numbingly boring and predictable when it's placed beside the Master Chief's arc--which is the one we're all HERE FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE. We're not here to watch an edgy teenage girl with a bad haircut (as a former professional hairstylist I see what they were going for, but man, did they NOT hit it lol) have her coming of age Katness Everdeen moment, and yeah I kinda feel like one of those sweaty asshole film critics just saying that...ugh...but it's the hard truth I guess.
One last thing concerning Kwan: I feel like a core issue that is also at play here is the fact that the writers--who are both men--clearly do not know how to write women outside the perimeters of "edgelord bitchy" "soulless bitchy" and "nerdy bitchy." Makee is the only character showing some potential for depth beyond that, but I'm not ready to give 'em that yet. It's unfortunately a prevalent thing in film/games when it comes to male writers writing women.
The FINAL thing that I want to say is that the camera work for this show is BORING as FUCK. The Sangheili fights fell short, not because of the CGI, or the writing or the acting, but purely because of the stiff camera work. A good camera shake when a Sangheili hits something and some motion-tracking during the battles would've gone a long way here because it helps you feel like you're right in it. Most of the shots stay zoomed out and still, which also ends up making the CG of the Spartans/Sangheili look worse.
Idk..that's my thoughts on the Halo show lol

was in bed all day so i watched the entirety of the fall of the house of usher. i'm mixed about it overall, but i think it may have actually been the best plot-wise of the mike flanagan shows i've seen?
spoilers for all the mike flanagan tv shows except the midnight club (which i started and was intrigued by, but fizzled out on when i found out it had been cancelled) beneath the cut
my problem with both hill house and bly manor is that i think that plot-wise, they set up interesting stories and then can't stick the landing and go out with a whimper out at the end. they do an okay job with emotional arcs, but you can't entirely divorce the emotional journey from the bones of the story - at least, not in these kinds of stories - so the plot still matters, i think.
(imo midnight mass does not do that, it tells exactly the story it wants to tell and constructs it decently; i just found that story really boring lol.)
so while i think bly manor was still the most enjoyable of the shows to watch, the fall of the house of usher might be the best in my book at plot, and i enjoyed the way it used poe stories amd poetry with its own twists on them. and i think with a few changes could have been really good overall! here's what i would have changed:
less racism. i mean it was probably average amount of racist for both a flanagan show and, generally, a majority-white cast & crew american show, and i know the whole thing was about how horrible rich people are, but there was still so much casual racism, sigh
like 40% less monologuing. i know, i know, that's flanagan's whole deal, but it's still too much even when it's performed by actors as enjoyable as bruce greenwood and carla gugino, and isn't all about catholicism (sorry midnight mass fans)
pretty early on i thought that the reveal about what happened on new year's 1980 would be madeline and roderick killing rufus griswold. but then after roderick betrayed auguste at the deposition i was like "wait no that's too obvious, they must have killed annabel to keep her quiet about roderick's perjury" and honestly i think that would have been a better twist??? like even the bells they were hearing behind the wall made sense to me because her name was annabel! and it would have been a murder roderick felt guilty about on a personal level, and it might have made sense that he would take the deal from verna if her pitch was "you already sacrificed your wife who you loved. don't you want to make it worth it by having some certainty for you and your children for at least a number of decades?" so i was bored when my original predictable guess was right. i guess it fit better with the cask of amontillado to have it be rufus but still, less compelling
the scene with arthur showing pictures of verna throughout history was SO silly and hamfisted, i'm sorry. also the lemons speech, the worst kind of example of a flanagan monologue which thinks it's brilliant and is just...goofy
i thought maybe there was going to be a twist where lenore didn't die because her mom had actually cheated on freddie and i was upset that didn't happen :( i know it was meant to be a lesson, that roderick and madeline's deal had to apply even to the not-horrible members of the family, but i still hated it! sigh
i thought that both lulu wilson (child madeline) and willa fitzgerald (mid-20s madeline) did a much better job with the character than mary mcdonnell (senior madeline). idk something about her just didn't seem as ruthless and collected and cold?
also not a change exactly but why did no one comment on the fact that roderick and madeline usher, who are twins, one of whom was married at the time, decided to do a couples' costume as jay gatsby and daisy buchanan for new year's 1980. why

Okay, I'm reading Chap18, and I really hope this comment won't hurt your feelings because I love your fic and I really just want to understand why you wrote it this way, but I have to tell you that for the first time I've been disapointed with Diamants AU. I already felt it was going this way with Daphné, Arthur, Vallès, Emma and Alexia being LGBT, but I kind of felt betrayed with the Yann/Alex thing, and now I'm sensing Manon and Daphné will be together at some point too and ...(1)
...I don't understand why you made all your characters LGBT. I get that they are under-represented in most of the books and shows, but with Diamants I'm kind of feeling like being staight is a bad thing, like it's either boring or you're juste an asshole. I've always loved Skam because it shows that very different people can be friends and help each other no matter their religion, sexuality... and this kind of felt like the only reason they stand together is they're all LGBT (2) and I guess this comes from personal experience but that would have been so much more powerful to have straight people being as much invested in this war as the others. Honestly I don't see the point of Yann, Alex, Emma, Manon or Arthur not being straight, for me it doesn't bring more to who they are. This really feels like they would be nothing if they were straight. So I juste wanted to ask you why you decided this? Again, really hope this won't hurt you... (3/3)
hey anon. So, I’m going to assume this comes from a place of good faith and a sincere desire to understand, and explain my choices. That said, I do have to say that even though it didn’t really hurt me (it mostly made me laugh), it did make me a little angry too, because there are a lot of harmful implications in your messages.
1) First of all, about you “not seeing the point” of making certain characters LGBT. This functions under the assumption that there needs to be a reason for people to be gay, bi, trans, etc - and that straight people are the default. That is...really not great. People are gay in real life, for no reason whatsoever. If you don’t go to writers asking why they made their characters straight if there is no reason in the story, you shouldn’t do this either. Characters can be queer without it being a big part of the story - it’s just a part of them, and the idea that they have to ‘deserve a place’ in the narrative through their gayness (often through a deeply tragic arc full of suffering to Educate Straight people) is deeply heteronormative, and fucked up. LGBT people are not in a story to make a point, they’re there because they exist. Yes, some of my characters have arcs that are deeply entangled with their sexuality and struggles with it. Some are not. When it comes to Yann and Alex, I didn’t think too much about it, I thought it would be funny and unexpected and give some good shenanigans. Sometimes that’s all you need.
2) As for turning a majority of the canon straight characters LGBT : listen, in the end, this is my fic, and I do it because I want to. I’m bi and my life is full of queer people. This is my normal, this is what comes naturally to me, and what I find interesting to write about. I set out to write a James Bond parody with some deep character exploration, it’s meant to be a very transformative fic. I have no obligation to stick to any Skam ‘guidelines’. I am also not aiming to write a particularly realistic story, if the secret mobster conspiracy didn’t tick you off already. The ethos of fic is to make canon your playground and to let your imagination go wild. That said, this trope you’re probably used to, of having one or maybe two queer characters and not more in any given story, I would say is the less realistic one. In real life, LGBT people often tend to cluster together, often before they even realize their sexuality, especially as they get older. But a lot of mainstream media is afraid of that because they don’t want to alienate their straight audience, so they don’t show it. I have no such compunctions. Your message seems to imply that there is a limit to how many gay people there should be in a story and I find that deeply offensive. There is incredible relief, peace and power to be found in community, especially after being struggling so much with your sexuality, like Lucas did for instance. I wanted to show that joy in this chapter, and how it plays a part in him slowly letting his walls down.
3) I notice you don’t mention Imane. She’s straight, she’s super invested in this war, she’s neither boring or an asshole, in fact she’s probably the most important character in the fic after Lucas and Eliott. She’s badass and amazing and complex and if you don’t feel she counts as ‘good straight representation’ I find that slightly odd. Is she too ‘other’ for you that you would dismiss her like that ? Also, Basile is straight lmao. There’s plenty of straight people in this fic. And plenty of people who have incredibly different life experiences ; sexuality not being the main one doesn’t change that.
4) I do find it sort of silly that you reduce the characters’ reasons for fighting to being LGBT after I spent like 400k words proving otherwise. Like - Lucas wants to avenge his mother, Eliott wants to take down his father, Imane wants to avenge her father, Daphné wants to steal jewels, Alex and Emma are bored, Alexia’s a good friend (and also bored lol), they’re trying to stop horrible people from doing horrible things, their trajectories are layered and complex and if you tell me that can all be boiled down to ‘they’re gay’ I kind of wonder if you’ve paid attention to what you’ve read at all.
5) All that said, a majority of my characters being LGBT does have a symbolic point. It’s an opposition to the world of the Shadow, which is deeply sexist, heteronormative, homophobic, and macho. It represents how questioning your sexuality can be deeply liberating and often put you at odds with the general structures of power and oppression in society and lead you to question a lot more and find people who want to fight with you. Being LGBT can (but not always) make you more politically conscious and that’s a beautiful thing that deserves to be celebrated. And in general, being a minority makes you more aware of inequality because it’s simply your daily life. So it makes perfect sense that most of these characters who fight against symbols of horrible systemic oppression would be marginalized in some way or other. Straight/cis/white/rich/abled/etc people simply have less reasons to question the status quo. I have sat through so many action movies where all-straight heroes save the day ; I’m sure you can sit through the opposite for once. If you can’t, maybe it’s a failure of empathy or imagination on your part.
6) Imagine growing up and never seeing, around you or on TV or in books or movies, someone who shares your sexuality. Or if you ever see somebody like you, they will be a joke, a punchline, deluded, instable, doomed, or worse, a predator. Imagine the sort of damage that does. Imagine that when you finally find some correct representation, you have to make do with crumbs for years. Imagine it gets slowly better, but it’s still overwhelmingly tragic, or incorrect, or stereotypes, or only told after the story is over, or you’re always the best friend, always the minority, the point of interest there to educate, always there to struggle, never the epic breathtaking romance, never centered, never allowed community and to see yourself as the norm. In the best of cases, your identity is more or less ignored. In the rare cases where you find good representation, shows get cancelled prematurely, or your faves never get as much screen time as the straight ones, or storylines get botched because somehow writers think showing queer characters happy has no value. Imagine then you decide to take matters in your own hands and write the sort of queer utopia that makes you truly happy - the one where you’re surrounded with people like you and you don’t have to constantly feel isolated and otherized and you’re badass and don’t have to take any shit and your love story is the epic one that gets centered and you have friends who understand and share your experience. And then imagine someone, instead of taking a deep breath and going back to like, 99% of all media ever made, randomly comes to you and tells you they feel ‘betrayed’ because in this one paltry little fic you wrote, their mainstream experience is not centered like usual. Tell me, how would that feel ?
Again, I don’t bear you any ill will, but your message comes across as ignorant and very entitled. I am open to feedback and criticism but writing a story full of LGBT people is one thing I will never feel sorry for. There are a shit ton of fics out of there where those characters are straight, not to mention canon. If you feel ‘betrayed’ by the amount of queer characters in my fic, then I’d say you have some biases you need to examine. It reminds me of all the times I’ve heard people say that they ‘like gay people but only if they’re not too in your face’ (lol that was my sister, so fun) - this implication that queer people should know their place, never show their difference too openly, accept being a minority in all spaces, need to ‘deserve’ their spot, center straight people’s needs, etc etc...is deeply harmful and toxic.
If you can’t understand all this, then my writing is probably not for you.

There’s Only Us Left Now
I’m so excited to finally post this and expand the Batfamily!!!! I really love writing Tim and he just needs more love than he gets.
This arc is heavily inspired by the song Sidekick by Rancid. I don’t think the song was meant to be about Tim (seeing as the  singers name is also Tim) but like, it’s about Tim lol.  I love punk rock and Rancid is one of my favorite bands. Their song Sidekick has always been a favorite because this is literally the lyrics to the chorus “I had a dream I was a vigilante's side kick/ My name is Tim, I'm a lesser-known character/I had a dream I was a vigilante's side kick/Fighting crime in the streets together”
So like, you see my point. This song is about Tim lol. Rancid is a really good band and you should totally go out and check out there song. The link for it is here!

I Had a Dream I Was a Vigilante's Side Kick pt. 1
Halley Wilson would never be the first to admit it out loud but there were moments in her life where she wished she had never stopped playing dress up; moments where she wished she had never stopped pretending to be a hero. Looking back at the long nights spent in costume, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, Halley wondered if that was what little kids felt like when they were children playing make believe. And she now wondered if the feelings of fondness but almost embarrassment brought by those memories were average side effects people caught when growing up and looked back at their childhood?
Her breath hitched in her throat as she pondered the idea. Her eyes looked around the busy but hush room she found herself in. She was uncertain, feeling the feeling she hadn’t in years start to build up and bubble inside of herself. She wanted to cave into herself and disappear. She couldn’t really compare her time as the vigilante Nightshade to simple child’s play. Trying to do so was childish in itself.
Halley’s eyes flickered back down to the screen of her laptop, the document still not nearly as full as she had hoped it would be at this point. She grunted, wishing her mind wasn’t so randomly out of sorts and could actually focus on the task at hand. Even if it had been two years since her boyfriend’s death, she was just asking for it by moving back to Gotham. She should’ve known that the past would’ve caught up to her eventually and there was no true escape. She thought that she could live in the city as a normal civilian but who was she kidding?
There was no such thing as a normal civilian in Gotham City, she laughed to herself as she blew a strand of brown hair out of her face and biting down on her lip.
Her eyes trailed but up from the screen and to the girl sitting across from her. The girl, her best friend, Sam, was still completely oblivious that Halley was on high alert as they sat in a comfortable booth towards the center wall. School papers and textbooks littered the table accompanying half-finished coffees and barely touched sandwiches.
Just as Sam hadn’t picked up on Halley’s current state and she also hadn’t picked up on the complete reversal of personality between the two girls.  Sam was dead set on finishing what they had come here to do having been the one who insisted on coming her to begin with. The dark skinned girl was dead set on finishing her mid-term paper and long forgot about the food after a few bits and only chugging down the now cold liquid to fuel her brain.
The paper was due sooner than she liked. Sam knew she had once had plenty of time to finish it but now was forced to cram it all in a matter of a couple of days on top of all her other classwork. She knew that the anxiety she felt now was no one’s fault but her own. She was easily distracted and there was just something about the setting of a coffee shop that made her focus.
Her phone, which now rest guarded in Halley’s pocket, was the number one villain in her escapades in writing this damned paper. She was self-indulgent and couldn’t stop herself from picking it up and checking on the world if it was in site of her. And then there was also trying to do schoolwork in their dorm. How could one focus when there was a TV that could be turned on and watched? Or all the other things that weren’t so boring that she could do inside? Even the school library couldn’t get her in the right mindset to focus.
But here she was completely emerged in her laptop, writing word after word, paragraph after paragraph; she’d be done by the end of the day possibly if she kept this up. It was the complete opposite of her normal self but she wasn’t complaining. She was too focused to even think about complaining or to notice Halley’s matching state of food and drink.
Halley look up again and into the bustling café. Her eyes carefully looked back to the spot in the far back corner that had been the cause of her distracted being. Her eyes didn’t linger long as her instincts and years of training knew better than to. But even with the quick glance there was no denying it. She was completely aware why her paper was still left untouched for nearly twenty minutes now. There was no denying the fact that they were being watched and that they were being followed.
Halley was not only mad at this fact but was also mad at the fact that she allowed someone to get the jump on her. If she hadn’t given up on her training, if she had someone like Bruce who kept her on her toes, maybe she would’ve caught him sooner. The last two years had completely relaxed her skills and senses. She had given up on that life and now she was facing the consequences of being indubitably out of practice.
Her eyes once again turned back to her screen as she now thought about what to do next. She should be focusing on her paper, being in the same boat as Sam with the due date approaching fast. She planned to finish the rest of it today, having already done a giant chunk of it throughout the term but of course her luck said otherwise. Maybe her exhaustion from staying up until the sun shined to get all her work done had finally gotten to her. She could blame that on being so late on the draw when it came to noticing the figure sitting across the café suspiciously peering over their book and staring directly their way.
Halley was not only disappointed in herself for not noticing him right away because whoever it this was wasn’t even that great at being inconspicuous. She remembered seeing him standing a little to close as the two girl first made their orders up at the counter. She remembered him only ordering a water but then waiting near them as they waited for theirs. She also remembered him waiting for them to sit first before taking the back booth that had a clear view of theirs. But it was like when someone said something and it just went in one ear and right out the other.
It didn’t fully process to her until they’d been in the café for two hours and Halley had gotten up from their table to refill her coffee. She walked by the booth and it all clicked at the site of the water bottle being untouched. She didn’t know what was worse: that it had taken so long for her to catch him or that she had been played by a kid.
It’d been about an hour now since she’d clued in. She spared the kid in the corner another look still trying to see if she recognized him from somewhere, anywhere, but she had no clue who this kid was. This time before she could look away their eyes meet. She let her eyes narrow, not showing the inner panic she felt whereas the boy’s eyes went wide before scrambling down to look at his book. Her lips formed a thin line at this horrible attempt at spying, scoffing to herself.
Letting out a drawn out sigh she closed her laptop and finally earned Sam’s attention. The girl frowned and asked if she was okay. Halley shrugged, grabbing her coffee cup and stating that she needed another refill. Sam shrugged before going back to work.
She had a lot more work than Halley had and couldn’t afford for Halley’s current predicament get in the way of it. Halley was proud, Sam hadn’t asked for her phone once since entering the café and sitting down. Sam was going to school for psychology and was trying to get into an internship program next year. Halley had questioned her or more so tried to convince her not too since the internship would be at Arkham. Sam was a great friend but she was naïve and had no idea what she was getting into. She swore it wouldn’t happen to her when Halley brought up the fate of the one notable Harley Quinn but Halley was still unsure and concerned.
Halley stood up again but this time eyed the boy directly as she walked past his eyeline. He seemingly cowered into his seat as if it would make him invisible. Halley raised an eyebrow at him, scanning over his table as she slowly walked past it. His textbook was shielding a notebook. Halley couldn’t get the greatest look but noted it was covered in scribbles and highlights. One statement did stick out to her and it made her nearly drop her coffee cup.
           Bruce Wayne is Batman.
This time with more pep in her step she forgot about the refill and quickly made her way back to her table. She began to gather her items, unplugging her laptop and shoving it in her bag. Sam looked up from her own laptop, puzzled.
“We need to leave,” Halley said, her voice stern.
           “But we were-,”
“Sam.” Halley’s voice cut her off, glaring at her.
She stopped herself, not wanting to seem like the kid got her worked up but he did. Who was he? How did he know that Bruce was Batman? And did that mean that he knew who she was?
Fuck, she thought feeling a lump in her throat. She never told Sam about her past. She had never told any of her friends that weren’t heroes themselves either. Fuck, she repeated to herself harshly. She had never wanted the two worlds to collide. Backtracking, she shook her head at Sam.
“Actually, you stay. I need to go.” Halley said, slinging her backpack over her shoulders and slipped Sam’s phone out of her pocket, leaving it on the table.
“What? Why? Are you okay?” Sam asked, her face no longer puzzled but concerned as she reached for the phone.
“I’m fine- I just forgot something and I need to go.” Halley assured even if she was vague. She began to walk away from the table, knowing for a fact that the kid would soon follow her.  She gave Sam a slight wave. “I’ll see you tonight!”
Within moments she was out into the streets of Gotham, hearing the door to the café close behind her only to open again a few moments after her. She peered over her shoulder, letting her hair hide the majority of her face and saw the boy following her. She quickened her pace unsure of where she should go. He was kid, she could just confront him but again, she had also been a kid once and spent her childhood killing men more than twice her age.
No, he’d just worry, she decided when she thought about calling Dick. But was there a reason to be worried?
Deciding that she was more than capable to handle herself she took matters in her own hands. She stopped her step, whipping around to confront the boy. Her eyes widened and scanned the area. He was gone. He had just been there and now he was gone. She turned forward, looking around again and saw no sight of him. People walked past her, staring at her like a crazy person as she looked clearly distressed and insane as her face contorted and scrunched up. She looked up at rooftops and into the alleyways nearby feeling exposed and paranoid.
Shaking her head, she went back into a steady pace heading back to campus. If he knew who she was then he knew where she went to school; where she lived. She knew she should call Bruce after seeing what she saw in the notebook or call Dick at least. But she found herself unable to and she found it haunting her for the days to follow.
She couldn’t focus in class, always looking over her shoulder and on edge. She had to ask her teacher for an extension, her paper being that last thing on her mind. She knew it was irresponsible and she knew she should tell someone but Dick was off with the Titans and Bruce’s number was still so daunting when her thumb hovered over it when she was alone in her room.
A week had passed and the boy hadn’t shown himself again causing Halley too relax but only by an inch. Maybe she had gone crazy? Maybe she imagined it?
No, she saw what she saw in that notebook. The stupid kid highlighted it and circled it for Christ’s sake.  Whoever he worked for didn’t train him well or long enough; he was a nuance at spy stuff compared to her at that age. But he still managed to unnerve her especially when after a week he decided to show himself again.
She had gotten an email from her communications teacher asking her to come to her office after the end of classes. She had wanted to discuss her application the internship at the Gotham Gazette she was applying for. Halley thought nothing of it having known that Miss Parsons did want to have a meeting with her soon to discuss it so she didn’t hesitate to head straight to her office after her last class.
Her mind was frantic as she looked through her folder to make sure she had all her articles and papers lined up that she wanted to submit for the internship. Picking her eyes up as she rounded the corner and reached the office’s door, she knocked. She heard a muffled reply, the voice sounding a lot deeper than the usual perky teacher. She paused as she was now cautious as she felt herself going on alert. Narrowing her eyes she closed her folder and placed her hand on the doorknob.
The door slowly opened and the former assassin turned vigilante peered into the room. Her eyes widened and her mouth agape as she stared at the person sitting at the desk. It sure as hell wasn’t Professor Parsons. Her face changed from shock to anger as she turned her gaze into a glare. She slammed the door shut.
The boy who had been haunting her mind all week sat where Miss Parsons should be sitting. Halley crossed her arms against her chest as the boy simply smiled with his lips pressed firmly together, bringing his hand up to give her an awkward wave. Halley narrowed her eyes tighter at him, noting how he was wearing a Gotham Academy uniform. He looked at her cautiously but still had some trace of smugness showing in his facial expression as if he was proud of himself for catching her off guard again.
“I’m Tim Drake.” He introduced, outreaching his hand over the desk for her to shake. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”

Season 2: The Rankings
Whew. Oh boy.
They were still puttering about in season 1 to an extent. But now? Now they’ve really hit their stride. This season was a veritable chocolate box of delights and I ate my way through it. The overall myth arc was kind of nonsensical, but that emotional throughline? Christ. Spn buries SO MUCH emotional complexity into its leads, and they cashed in every cent in that two part finale. It packs one hell of a punch. And yeah, okay, I knew the broad strokes, the twists and turns. It’s hard not to be spoilered for a season of tv that aired over a decade ago. But reader! It mattered not!! I. Still. Wept. That’s when you know it’s the good kush.  1.) 2x12: NIGHTSHIFTER. This one just snagged the top spot by merit of its sheer ambition. Supernatural often feels like a very empty universe to me, just two guys and one car drifting from place to place. Which is fine, it makes for compelling TV, but they totally flipped the script here and this episode really dazzles precisely because of that contrast. It’s a huge, cinematic episode, a metropolitan setting full of uncontrollable elements, and it’s great to see Sam and Dean so profoundly vulnerable. The outside world is pressing up against the windows. They have sniper dots trained on them! They are, literally and figuratively, out of their depth! We’re not in Kansas any more, baby. God, I haven’t even mentioned the supporting characters. The entire mandroid rant deserves an Emmy. Victor Henrickson’s entrance! Heist movie antics! Agh!  10/10
2.) 2x07: THE USUAL SUSPECTS. Again this episode was a cut above precisely because it showed us what the brothers look like from the outside: sketchy as all hell. It’s so good when reality ensures, because it’s great to be reminded they lead objectively insane lives! Through Linda Blair’s eyes we get to see just how unknowable, feral and amoral they appear to the eyes of polite society. Put under a microscope like this, they’re scary guys! They’re just not socialised like normal people. They don’t really care about being arrested, or about the felonies. Getting arrested is an irritant above everything else. They’re still working the case from the inside. They’re professionals; excellent liars, and totally in sync with each other. The handwritten notes they pass, like delinquent school kids! A delight! The thrill lies in watching Blair slowly unwrap their strange logic, and unravel the mystery of both the brothers and the ghost. Ugh, what a great perspective shift. I’m 100% here for it. 10/10
3.) 2x09: CROATOAN. Ugh, this setting. Small Town Gothic, complete with eerie mist, hostile locals and creepy Stepford vibes. Sam really shone in this episode. He’s so soothing and giant, and it made his suffering at the end all the more devastaing. The real reason this episode ranks so highly is their conversation in the surgery. It just killed me. Dean’s sheer, bone-deep exhaustion, his admission that he’s tired of the life. Sam’s despair, because he knows Dean won’t leave. The performances were so steller. I can’t even really think too deeply about it because it makes me too crazy. 10/10
4.) 2x21: ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE: PART ONE. I loved this finale so much more than the finale in Season 1, LOL. It might just be because I’m more invested now, who knows. The opening of this episode is a piece of art: Boston playing on the car stereo, the rain, the small cafe, the lighting. Gorgeous. I love when they have to interact with ordinary people! It adds so much: texture, humour, personality! It draws things out of Sam and Dean that we just don’t see when they have each other to bounce off of. It was so good to see Ava and Andy again. “I just woke up in freakin’ Frontierland!” The gang’s all here, folks! This episode would rank higher, but recieves minus points for the long boring speech the demon gives Sam, and killing off the first gay in the show 0.2 seconds after her introduction. Anyway. The ending of course unzipped me; Dean cradling Sam’s dead body, muttering “It’s okay, it’s not even that bad.” The elation of their reunion, so devastaingly cut short! Sam, twenty two years old, bleeding out in the mud. The sheer, hopelessness of it all. The horror. My notes for the end of the episode simply read: “Dean oh Christ. Oh my God. Oh no.” It’s just one of those scenes that stay with you long after the credits start rolling. 9/10
5.) 2x20: WHAT IS AND WHAT SHOULD NEVER BE. I never thought I could be so profoundly upset by watching a man happily mowing a lawn. Dean’s trauma over the loss of his mother has undercut the whole show up until this point, and here it bursts to the fore. What really got me was the simplicity of it all. Just a sit-down dinner, an engagement. A beer on the porch. Fuck, he deserves it. He deserves everything. All the performances were great, they really served to show there’s a whole life in these AU characters. The fact it wasn’t all perfect was bizarrely more devastating. AU Sam’s weird straight hair and dorky jacket sealed the deal for me, as did his baffled terror in the warehouse. But even here, with no training and no idea what’s happening, he gets into the Impala! Because that’s his brother! Because I’m a huge baby I had to remove points because of how upsetting I found Sam’s quiet hostility towards Dean, HA. But that’s really just a testament to how well-realised their dynamic has become by the second season. 9/10
6.) 2x15: TALL TALES. Every single thing Sam does in any of Dean’s memories. Also alien slowdance set to “Lady in Red.” Also Bobby breaking them up like they’re petulant children. Gold, all of it gold. 9/10
7.)  2x11: PLAYTHINGS. So I’m a slut for a cool setting, obviously. Turns out, Supernatural did The Haunting of Bly Manor fifteen years ago. The swimming pool! The attic! Creepy dolls! The weird little playground! This episode has it all! I loved the saga between the ghost sister and the old lady, which would honestly make a killer movie in its own right. But I’m digressing. The main star of this episode was, of course, Dean’s profound and escalating sexual insecurities. “Well, you are kinda butch. People probably think you’re overcompensating.” FATALITY. I would’ve placed this one higher but the weird incestuous undertones kinda squicked me out... however, I did think we were meant to be creeped out by it, which is more than I can say for some other uh. Instances. It was, after all, beautifully paralelled at the end with the two sisters reuniting in death. “I can’t leave here, and you can’t leave me.” SHUDDER. Also, honestly, can Sam have one (1) breakdown on his own without Dean’s own emotional baggage taking over? Older siblings, smh. 9/10
8.) 2x22: ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE: PART TWO. This one ranks lower than part one purely because I thought the yellow-eyed demon’s overall plot was kinda nonsensical, and I cared not for John’s weird deux ex machina moment. Like do you expect me to feel sorry for that bitch? I don’t! Anyway, that being said, let’s move on to Dean’s eyes in the junkyard when Bobby asks him, “do you have that low an opinion of yourself?” They’re so flat. So dead, like a shark’s. He doesn’t need to say anything back, because it’s all over his face. That non-expression says it all. This is the culmination of the emotional arc that began with his savage beatdown of the Impala in episode 2x02. To call it survivor’s guilt wouldn’t even begin to cover what Dean goes through this episode. It’s all in Ackles’ performance; in the the way he yells, “What am I supposed to do now, Sammy?” The complete claustrophobia of it all. There’s nothing for it but to make the deal. Dean’s been moving inexorably towards this moment for the entire season. 9/10
9.) 2x13: HOUSES OF THE HOLY. What a kooky little episode! Magic fingers! Sam’s costcutter seance purchases! The scooby-doo placemat he uses as a makeshift altar! I love him, your honour. Obviously this episode has a lot of *~dramatic irony~* in it because of the later seasons, but it stands alone as a total banger. I was so gutted for Sam when the "angel” was revealed. So many good little Sam moments to be found in this episode. His soft, quiet little revelation that he prays every day. His awkward, earnest explanation to the horrified priest! Dean gets some great moments chasing down the would-be rapist down those dark, snow-covered streets. His speech to Sam where he explains his lack of belief is brief, but it’s a total gut punch. Rounding it off with Knockin on Heaven’s Door was just the cherry on top. 9/10
10.) 2x14: BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN. Ahaha I love the way Dean acts whenever Sam’s psychic powers come up. He treats him like a rebellious teen, it’s so funny. “What’s going on with you, Sam? Smokin’, drinkin’?” As if Sam’s behaviour was a) at all under his control or b) anything Dean wouldn’t HIMSELF do. Dean’s just like, this isn’t how I raised you! Truly hysterical. The whole sequence between Meg!Sam and Jo was fantastic and horrible. Sam’s huge physique is never threatening, but it really was in that moment. The interplay between them was totally spine-tingling. Meg’s impression Sam slowly crumbling away over the course of the episode was so compelling and I’m sure it will be a really fun rewatch now I know the *twist*. 9/10
Favourite lines this season:
The way Sam says “black cat’s bone” in 2x08
“You’re not gonna go kill somebody because a ghost told you to, are you insane?!” - Dean, 2x13
“Dean, this is a very serious investigation, we don’t have time for your blah blah blah blah.” - Sam (according to Dean), 2x15
“I’m fine, except for every single thing that’s happening.” - Ava, 2x21

Previously On Supernatural Season 3, we had a really rock solid trio of episodes to kick us off right, so what does SPN do next? It’s gonna lay the groundwork for some spicy character development that may or may not pay off by the end of the season. Let's find out!
To be honest, I felt the next three episodes just sort of plateau? There’s enough nuggets in these three eps - “Sin City”, “Bedtime Stories”, and “Red Sky at Morning” - that it does feel like they’re setting up for something big but it’s taking too much time. If the season had been longer, I don’t know that I’d be complaining, because there’s SO much potential introduced with these character developments, but I know it’s gonna get cut off at the knees in the very near future. 2021 Me has been trained on what to expect from a short season, so half of my brain wants to give the show slack for Unexpected Circumstances, but the other half of my brain is shouting YOUR NOT DRIVING THE BUS FAST ENOUGH, YOU’LL NEVER MAKE IT TO THE END OF THE LINE IN TIME!!!
And that’s maybe unfair because there really are some great nuggets in here. We’ve got “Sin City”, which is Dean’s episode. I mean, they’re ALL Dean’s episode, but this one more so than the other two in this post. Dean gets trapped with a demon who turns out to be...kinda...nice? In kind of a Stockholm Syndromey way I guess? She let’s Dean in on the fate that awaits him when his year long contract is up and it is NOT great. This isn’t the first time we see that there’s more to the demons than SPN has shown us in the past (hello, Ruby), but it is the first time Dean chills out enough to actually have a conversation with one. Dean doesn’t really get it, like he’s still not interested in getting out of his deal, but the fear gets planted, it just needs some time to grow. Oh, also, the Colt Ex Machina is back in action, so that's important.
Tumblr media
This dumb bitch thinks he can fool us with that devil-may-care side glance but he caaaan't
But then we get “Bedtime Stories”, the Sam episode, where Sam learns...to let go? That’s the point of this episode right? It’s about letting go of someone before that person becomes too toxic and dangerous? At least, that’s the lesson that Dean wants Sam to take away from this case. But Sam will NOT learn this lesson, so instead he tries to cancel Dean’s deal by killing the crossroads demon who wrote it. Spoiler Alert: it doesn't work.
Tumblr media
And then we get “Red Sky At Morning”, which opens and closes with some heavy emotional baggage, but then is stuffed full of fun. Like, this episode ricochets wildly in terms of Feelings, but then that’s probably what we should expect from SPN. I mean, what show have I been watching for 3 seasons now?
Tumblr media
Fun Facts guys: I’m a tired Millenial, and swapping DVD discs was too much work so I switched over to watching this season on Netflix and GUESS WHAT???? THESE EPISODES COME WITH A SUICIDE WARNING!?!?!
Tumblr media
They're not wrong.
And like, if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about this season I don’t know WHAT will. Cuz Dean is absolutely suicidal and I am surprised (??) I guess (???) by how much the show acknowledges that. Or I guess, surprised by how much Netflix acknowledges that. It’s something that I did not...pick up on the first go around on season 3, possibly because I was 19 and I was an idiot and found this sort of emotional vulnerability to be endearing. Listen, I know there’s a lot to be said about the producers of the show making...umm…poor decisions in regards to character developments? But if the target demographic of this show was anything like me - and I suspect they were - then the viewers were also...probably...responding inappropriately to some of those character developments. And here’s the thing - I’m looking at this from 12 years in the future, with 12 years worth of real life drama that makes the heavy handed melodrama of television feel...well, heavy handed. Maybe irresponsible? Certainly a little uncomfortable. Big Me is having A Time confronting Little Me’s taste in TV Characters. It’s one thing to have a kink, Little Me, it’s another thing to romanticize suicidal depression.
And hey, I can’t deny that the character development for Dean makes sense. I actually appreciate that the show is thinking through the world and the relationship dynamics that they’ve built and the toll that these misadventures are having on their main characters. These episodes all get bookended by Impala Fights where Sam keeps pushing Dean to give a shit about his own life and Dean responds with an inability to care. That’s just where he is right now, and I get that. We’re early in the season still. But how will the rest of the season handle this? I honestly can’t remember but I also don’t want this to be a throw-away issue that they use to remind us that Dean’s supposed to die at the end of the season. I’m prob gonna come back to this throughout the season because I ~just~want~this~show~to be~repsonsiblllllleeeeeeeeeeee.
Lol, I know, that’s a lot to ask from the CW.
ON TO MORE FUN THINGS!!
Sam is gettin’ reeeeeallll bitchy in these episodes and #1, I love it, Bitchy Sam 5Ever, but also #2, was this supposed to be the sign that Sam was going darkside? Like, he’s snarky, he’s angry, he’s not pulling any punches and that could just be him reacting to his brother’s situation but it could also be….you know...him...becoming slightly...evil? For instance in “Sin City”, he kills the two demons who kidnapped Dean without even thinking. On the one hand, this is the Winchester MO, they kill demons, that’s their job, but on the other hand, Dean is actively telling Sam to stop. Same deal in “Bed Time Stories” - Sam kills the crossroads demon in cold blood (or maybe viscera). Again, we could blame this on instinct - the Winchesters were brought up to do exactly this - but 1) Dean keeps telling Sam not to and 2) that’s not Sam. This show spent 2 seasons telling us that Sam is the Good Brother, the White Hat, the Touchy-Feely One. This is not the Touchy Feely Sam who reasons with ghosts and falls in love with werewolves. Like, everyone else sees it too, right? Also, he is usually very nice to everyone but he is a REAL BITCH to Gertrude in “Red Sky at Morning.” Like, come on, Sam, she just wants to have a nice time. She is OLD. You really think she’s got what it takes to climb that tree?
Tumblr media
Honestly, how tall are this lady's heels?
I know that there was a plan for Sam to start Turning in this season before the show’s episode order got slashed due to the Writer’s Strike. And man, I really would have liked to have seen this play out. Like, first season Sam is the Innocent, right? He’s our stand in for the viewer in those first few episodes and then he’s revealed to be kind of the only thing that went right in the lives of both John and Dean, so Baby Must Be Protected at All Costs. The fact that John ultimately lets Sam go off to college and doesn’t contact him for the next four years says to me that on some level, John felt the need to preserve that innocence, that kind of untouched quality Sam has. Dean is very similar - whenever Sam gets too into the job, Dean calls him out on it. So in the second season when we find out that Sam might be evil, it’s a real punch in the gut, for Dean most of all. But then the show admittedly got bored with that storyline and it didn’t really go anywhere. So whereas Dean has personality in SPADES that fluctuates and changes and develops/maybe just gets more intense as the show goes on, Sam remains that kind of blank slate that the viewer can put their face on. Except now we’re in season three, and if you’ve bought into this show, then you’ve bought into it, so the audience doesn’t need a Blank Slate Sam anymore. And if you start with Sam the Innocent and then introduce the idea of Dark!Sam and then just leave that concept hanging, then isn’t this sort of like Checkov’s Evil Sam? If you introduce Evil Sam in the first act you really ought to deliver on Evil Sam by act three, right? Wouldn’t that have been A+ and Wild? Wouldn’t that have made Sam’s arc and emotional struggles over the previous seasons have more weight?
Will this be resolved in later seasons? Maybe. I’m gonna be honest, this is the last season I watched all the way through and seasons 4 through...like, 8 were real touch and go for me. I know that Sam ultimately is revealed to be a vessel for??? The devil??? And Dean is ultimately revealed to be a vessel for??? Michael??? And then the two of them???? Fight to the death???? Point is, season 5 got weird guys and I’m not there yet.
Back to more fun things! You know what guys?? I think I ship Dean and Bela. I’m...almost ashamed to admit it? Like, I remember Little Me watching this season and just dumping on Bela, I HATED her, but this time? I am 1,000% On Board This Ship. Like, there is an alternate universe somewhere where these two got a spinoff show that ran for 6 seasons and I watched EVERY episode. And then, like, 5 years after it ended, they rebooted it with Dean and Bela’s grown up daughter as the lead and the whole OG cast makes cameos over the three seasons it stays on the air and it’s amazing. I’d own both shows on DVD.
What I like about Bela this time around (and again, I am WILDLY surprised about this development), is that she can dish it just as hard as the Winchesters can. Like, every line Dean throws at her she holds up a mirror to say, “Oh yes, I know the Kettle is black, but what color are you, Pot?” and I’m just continually thrilled. She is also just as damaged as Dean is but somehow channeling it into a healthier way? Like, she’s true Chaotic Neutral, which is not necessarily healthy, it’s just healthier than Dean. Or maybe it’s just that she’s better at managing it. In either case, they are HOT MESSES and I love it. I just love it. I know I complained about shoehorned romances but Ackles and Lauren Cohan just totally crush it in every scene and when Dean walks down the stairs all She’s All That in “Red Sky at Morning”, I yelled at the screen OMG just BONE already!!!!! And then like, 5 seconds later, Bela literally says “We should really have angry sex,” and it was probably the most vindicating moment I’ve had on this ride so far.
Tumblr media
I just think they're neat!
WHY did we cancel her? WHY?? I don’t want to believe it was the Wincest again, so I’m gonna pretend that it wasn’t, but it was definitely fans. According to Kripke, Bela gets the axe at the end of this season because of the fan hatred of her. Now, I’ve already admitted that I personally held a grudge, but good Lord, what was wrong with us, as a Fandom? To be fair to me (and all of us), would we have felt differently if we had not been introduced to Jo a mere season earlier?? I'm gonna say yes. Although I had misgivings about Jo the first episode we meet her, by the end of season 2 I was certainly on her side. Working through season 3, I am remembering that, when we were introduced to Bela, I was immediately FURIOUS because WTF, WHERE’S JO? SPN just introduced to her. They just settled on a love interest for Dean and the writer’s just got me on board with that. Now they’ve completely done away with both that character AND that dynamic and you want me to get on board this NEW thing? And be excited about it??? So I'm gonna blame the love-interest-whiplash, combined with the fact that Little Me related my own personal self more to Jo than to Bela, that made me hate Bela in the first place. When you look at how quickly the show abandoned one character to introduce another character, it makes sense why fans got mad, but I’m also mad that we continued to hate Bela when she turned out to be such an A+ Frenemy. It makes me want to shout at the writers through the time void COMMIT TO A FEMALE CHARACTER YOU JAGWEEDS.
Tumblr media
What’s wild watching this show now is just how Male it was, especially considering its audience was already skewed heavily female by this point in the series. If you made this show today, I don’t know that you could do that. Today, there’s a real push for balanced, diverse casts in programming, especially in sci-fi/fantasy and young adult. I think if SPN had started in 2021, they would have introduced the Harvell’s or Bela up in season 1, and that introduction would have been much more intentional. The benefit of having a shorter episode count as the standard is that there’s less of the “throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks” approach. Looking at it from 2021, reading snippets of interviews from Kripke, that’s definitely what they’re doing with the side characters in these seasons and you can feel that in Jo and Bela. A shorter season means that the storytelling has to be tighter, it can’t wander, so every decision has to be a load-bearing decision. On the other hand, one of the down sides of having a shorter episode count is the exact same thing - less room to throw stuff, less room to experiment. Heck, Bobby was technically a character they threw at the wall and he didn’t just stick, he became a tentpole character of the series. The only side character that actually made it into the series finale even!
So how much room should we be giving our television programs? I think it depends on the show, honestly. I think you have to decide up front if you want space to experiment, or if you have one, tight, compact story line that’s gonna drive viewers from episode 1 right through the finale without giving them the chance to catch their breath. You have to make the decision, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop making one style of show in favor of the other. Just because we’re in the Age of Streaming doesn’t mean there isn’t room enough for both.

After rewatching GoT and reading the first 2 books, here is my take on the finale a year later solely looking at the show:
(opinions no one asks for but I feel I need to give lol)
Things that make sense (doesn't mean I agree that they should've happened, but that based on things set up previously in the show I understand why they did):
Jon doesn't ascend the iron throne and chooses to go with the pseudo nightwatch/free folk hodgepodge. Jon made a vow to his black brotherhood and him dying/being resurrected doesn't change that. Also, he repeatedly says he does NOT want to be king, and not in a reluctant hero sort of way but in a legit “I don’t want it” way so why bother giving it to someone who frankly, probably wouldn’t be good at it. He’d be a decent ruler, don’t get me wrong, but he and his whole council would despise every second of it lmao
Daenerys doesn't ascend the iron throne - unpopular opinion but honestly idk how we're supposed to believe she just swoops into Westeros and claims herself Queen without any interaction with actual Westerosi people/head figures aside from Jon who now publicly has a better claim to the title
Daenerys dies - I go either way on this one. I could see her taking the throne as a sane woman but I also don't think the fact that she dies is far off either. Not ideal, but i expected only one between her and Jon to survive and TV is nothing if not misogynistic. I also would have wanted to see her happy living a simple life post-war where she finally gets to see that red door again after she frees all those who are enslaved ;-;
Sansa becomes queen in the North. MY Queen.
Jaime and Brienne hook up (bless)
Jaime and Cersei die together
Theon dies defending the North - I would’ve gave him a longer recovery arc but given how they wanted to rush everything into a single season, Theon got a good end in comparison to others
Things that make me want to scream:
Arya kills the Night King. It should have been Jon. Arya's a bad ass Bitch but it was NOT written in her character. Syrio Forel did not teach her how to catch a cat just for her to stealth kill the NK. GRRM could tell me why she should kill the NK and I still wouldn't change my mind. Jon did not join the night's watch in S1 just to not kill the NK. You can convince me Jon isn't supposed to be king but you cannot convince me he wasn't supposed to kill the Night King!!!!
"AnD wHo HaS a BeTtEr StOrY tHaN BrAn ThE bRoKeN?" Literally anyone. Give the throne to Hot Pie
The battle for Winterfell only lasted like 45 minutes. I sat through 8 seasons just to get a 45 minute "epic" war to end all wars that was less exciting than the Battle of the Bastards (#1 fight in GoT imo)??? AHHHH think again!!
Jaime comes back to Cersei because he loves her (throw away his whole character why don’t you)
Varys dies a traitor (I feel like we needa discuss this more because literally his whole character is built on doing the best for the realm and he has NEVER done anything but stand by that and they decided to just randomly kill him off???? *cardi b gif* WHAT WAS THE REASON?!) He's such an understated character, yet affected the whole story in so many ways. I wasn't a fan in the first few seasons but honestly if anyone from the OG King's Landing crew deserves to live it was him...
Arya and Gendry hook up and then break up (?) Look I liked gendrya back in s2 but I really felt like their hook-up scene was 4 seasons too late and also OOC for Arya just based on the placement of it. I guess I understand the whole, wanting to get laid before I probably die thing, but I would've found it more amusing and believable if it took place after the big fight and Arya decides that hmm yeah the D ain't all that lol also since when does Arya start to use people like she used Gendry for s*x? I guess she did make herself clear but still? And since when does Gendry want to tie Arya down? Their whole dynamic is built on the fact that Gendry respects arya and dgaf she's a Stark while Arya knows Gendry is reliable and skilled, neither has to give up themselves if they were to get together. In fact, I'd see Arya as stronger if she was to have stayed with Gendry because she can finally chose something for herself in the same, opposite way Sansa shows her growth and strength by becoming a kingless Queen.
This isn't the last season related and I know that they wouldn't have made it to the end just because of when/how they were introduced but the Tyrells deserved better and I stand by that.
Things I would change:
Either Jaime would return to kill Cersei by stabbing her or something and they'd die together as the red keep falls (sad because Jaimienne but also it'd be shocking without being stupidly incesty and boring and completely destroying Jaime's character and not in a "oh he's actually a bad guy" way but in a "wow this writing of this character sux" way) OR Arya kills Cersei thus coming full circle to her murder list (idk logistically how this would work cuz she can't be in winterfell and kings landing at the same time but it would make sense
Gave GoT more seasons instead of forcing character developments (or lack thereof) within 3 episodes
Dany and Jon (even though I don't like them as a couple romantically I get why they make sense to be together before and after Jon realizes that's his aunt lol) would have a baby and that baby would be crowned king, with Bran as regent until the baby is of age. This ending would be a bit cliche but cliche is better than boring and stupid (i know that's pretty subjective but u can't convince me otherwise)
Podrick "biggest D in westeros" Payne becomes leader of the King's Guard. It's what he deserves. LMAO
Tldr; idk who I thought would become king but this wasn’t it
If yall don't agree, make your own list!!

Hello friend! I've just finished watching all of doom patrol and really loved it. I want to give the comics a shot but don't know where to start, can you recommend a good run to start from? Or is the answer to read all of them lol. (Also my favourite character is Larry if that makes a difference)
A lot of people start with the most recent run! The 2016 doom patrol is kind of more of a sequel to Morrison’s doom patrol than the 2009 comics, and since a lot of the show is based on Morrison you’d probably like that! Rita isn’t in morrison’s run, though, and in 2016 she only comes in til the Milk Wars tie in which is… weird. We all have to live with the fact that dc made an alternate universe centered around milk. I think 2009 is a good comic, though it might be a strange place to start because it does reference a fair amount of the older comics, like the end of silver age, and new doom patrol, but if you want a more “down to earth” (they fight alternate reality versions of themselves, this is relative), i’d read that one too! I’m not sure where you’d want to go from there, so here’s my review of all the doom patrol comics based on how much larry is in them
Silver age: Larry is just a nice young man who wants to live with his mom and only became a hero through happenstance. Literally cannot go a second without fighting with cliff but that’s how friendship is sometimes. I love him. He accidentally helped a super villain make evil cookies. If you don’t want to read all of the comics and just want a shorter version of what the comics like, just read My Greatest Adventure (1955) Issues 80-85
New Doom Patrol: Larry wakes up from a coma and immediately decides that he hates his replacement. He’s like super depressed and just kind of mopes around until like, the last couple issues but then he immediately needs to go to the hospital because he hurts himself. He doesn’t really do a lot, is what I’m saying. Basically all you need to know is that he and negative woman are teammates but they’re also sworn enemies. This is part of the same run as Morrison, but most people skip it but if you do want to read it it’s Doom Patrol (1987) issues 1-18
Morrison: It’s everyone’s favorite run but there’s no larry so that’s at LEAST minus 100 points. There IS Rebis tho, who has Larry’s body merged w the body of a woman named eleanor, so xe’s just a cool intersex bigender person who knows xe’s Better Than You. Everyone calls hir larry tho (except jane) so minus another 100 points for misgendering and another 50 for that one weird comment about hir being mixed race (eleanor is black). If Morrison hired a sensitivity reader, I think Rebis could have been really good. I love hir as a character but xe deserved a better writer. This is the comic that introduces Jane and Danny, the Decreator, Mr. Nobody, Dorothy and Flex so like. It does have non larry related good points. Personally I found the brotherhood of dada very cool but you do have to see Larry have sex in a mindscape with Eleanor so like. Mixed bag, you know? This is Doom Patrol (1987) issues 19-63
Pollack: There’s no Larry but there are the bandage people, who live in a house with sex ghosts. The Chief is a living severed head, Cliff and Dorothy get the character arcs they deserve and we meet Coagula, aka the best super hero in the entirety of dc comics. She’s a trans woman who developed the power to dissolve and manipulate molecure structure after having sex with Rebis. Yeah. There’s a lot of sex here. It’s also pretty witchy. Cliff and Dorothy meet forest gods. It’s a short run and even if you don’t read Morrison you should read it and it’s Doom Patrol 1987 issues 64-87.
2001: there’s only one issue of this that matters and surprisingly, it’s the only one with larry and rita in it. The issue is called “Sell Out” (Issue 20) and it’s literally just… people trying to write an episode of a doom patrol tv show. Issue 13 was fun too because cliff got trapped in the past with his new team in the bodies of his old team but on the whole this is just. kind of boring. if you really want to see cliff be a mentor for a bunch of new heroes, you can just read new doom patrol
2004: good news! larry is back. Bad news: what he’s wearing. Please google it so you can laugh at him with me. Also I will never forgive this comic for including rita/cliff and the fact that they made it uber creepy by making rita a kid when cliff ended his career and also that weird pedophile apologism they stacked onto that. also the racism. Nudge is good tho, we love Nudge and her gorilla bff
2009: Since Jane comes in later on, this basically has the same basic team structure as the show, only with bumble bee instead of cyborg. Larry is very deadpool-ish but he’s valid. I keep on making posts about giffen larry and that’s because he has exactly the personality you’d expect for someone who’s lost their body several times over. According to this run, Larry and the Negative Spirit are intertwined, which means that as long as the spirit doesn’t die, larry can’t either. he just needs a body to inhabit. I also really love this take on Rita. She punches a vampire. She’s also just super angry and you know what? She deserves it. Other good points: danny the bungalow, danny getting tossed around as a brick
2016: Larry has to get like, rebonded with the negative spirit, who now has a name (Keeg). Keeg decides what Larry needs to cope with the whole splintering of his personality is a nap so he spends this entire run falling asleep on people. I really like this larry! at one point he just makes cliff go to the mall with him because he wants a smoothie but it’s also very weird and cool. Mr Nobody gets a daughter! Danny gets a daughter! A cat turns into an anthro! if you read this you should also read the milk wars tie in. one of them is called doom patrol/JLA special and the other is called JLA/Doom Patrol. I don’t remember which comes first

Crazy ex girlfriend for the ask game!!
Babe you know me!
my all-time ultimate fave character: Rebecca Bunch! My favourite stupid bitch!
a character I didn’t used to like but now do: Greg. Like at the start of the show, I struggled with the ***nuance*** of it and didn’t get his character at all. I found him unnecessarily rude to Rebecca, ignoring that she treated him awfully too. I warmed up to him when he came back in season 4 because I saw that he changed. Then when rewatching the early seasons with people, they told me he was a very accurate portrayal of alcoholism based on people they know and I finally started to get hus character in retrospective. He’s also definitely the best male singer on the show.
a character I used to like but now don’t: Um I honestly couldn’t say because I think the show did an excellent job in making every character likeable to some extent. It showed no one is actually the villain (other than like Rebecca’s dad). They even gave a redemption arc to the likes of Audra Levine!
a character I’m indifferent about: I like most of the characters even the minor ones so I guess Paula’s friend, Sunil. It sucks because he’s like the only South Asian character on the show but I always just found him so boring and I’d forget about him half the time.
a character who deserved better: my baby Valencia.
a ship I’ve never been able to get into: Rebecca x Nathaniel. It’s not that I don’t like them. I actually do. I think they have good chemistry and good songs and they have their moments which is quite funny as I used to absolutely hate them together. It’s just that it’s such an enormously overrated ship which I think is partially because fans fancy him and are using Rebecca as a self insert but yeah I don’t really think the shipping wars about which man Rebecca should end up with were that important.
a ship I’ve never been able to get over: Valencia x Heather - I’ve never been able to get over the fact that they DIDN’T MAKE IT CANON
a cute, low-key ship: Again, Valencia x Heather, even though it wasn’t canon
an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Rebecca x Josh had their moments. I know in the long run they never would have worked out but before that whole engagement mess happened in season 2, they were very much in love. Also the date he planned for her at the end of season 4 was adorable and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t rooting for him in season 4 just a little bit.
a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Does Rebecca sleeping with Greg’s dad count lol?
my favourite storyline/moment: The main storyline from about the end of season 2 to midway through season 3 when they were dealing with her mental illness was so well written and devastating.
a storyline that never should have been written: Whenever Paula and Rebecca were fighting :(
my first thoughts on the show: *When hearing about it for the first time* Ew sounds kinda sexist *When watching it for the first time* Oh this is quite good.
my thoughts now: It’s my current favourite tv show as anyone can tell you! I sing the songs from it all the time and love listening to them! I went to a Rachel Bloom concert back in June. I just feel so represented by it and that it verbalized so many problems I have.
Send me TV shows!

B99 and The Good Place
YES. THANK YOU!!!! I LOVE THE GOOD PLACE AND BROOKLYN 99 SO MUCH. AND NOBODY EVER WANTS TO TALK TO/WITH ME ABOUT TGP. I made my friend watch it with me just so I could talk about it with someone lol. Also because it's just a genuinely good show. (Next up I'm gonna make her finish iZombie with me too, haha.)SO! For B99Favorite Main Character:Its gotta be either Rosa or Jake. You know I'm in love with both Andy Samburg and Stephanie Beatriz. (especially Stephanie Beatriz, *dreamy sigh*)Fun fact! My favorite side character is Kevin. Whether it's in B99, The Good Place, or on the Thrilling Adventure Hour, I love the deadpan humor of Marc Evan Jackson. He is, after all, a naughty bitch ;p. Favorite Female Character:Oh, for sure this goes to Rosa Diaz. I love her so much and Stephanie Beatriz plays her to absolute perfection. it's so cool to be able to see such a badass lady cop on TV, who both plays to and subverts the typical Strong Silent Badass™ trope. Rosa is from a cooler world than any of us.OTP:I know it's a boring answer, but it's gotta be Jake and Amy. From the jump their relationship was built on mutual (if, admittedly at first, somewhat begrudging) respect and trust. They were friends, which is so rewarding to see. There have been couples like that on TV before, but usually it's all a lot of 'will they, wont they- which can be fun too if done right, like seasons 1 and 2 did -but it's refreshing to see it played in such a different way. Jake just straight up told her and didn't expect anything to come from it. He didn't pressure her to like him back and he didn't even hate on Teddy (until he got all weird and creepy in later seasons, and even then he was polite) while he was dating her. He respects her and treats her well and I will forever remember the scene where he tells everyone why/how he decided to propose to her, it was perfect and truely sweet. Jake and Amy make each other better. He helped her to loosen up a little and compromise without getting rid of her take- charge, eager-to-please attitude or her independance, and in turn she made him into a (slightly) more mature person. Amy helped turn Jake into a (somewhat) functional adult, but she didn't force him to lose his fun, childish side either. They genuinely care for each other in a way that you dont often get to see on TV between Het Couples. Like the episode where Amy takes the Sargent's exam and Jake says he always knew Amy would be his boss one day? HE RESPECTS HER SO MUCH. Almost any other sitcom would have Jake's arc for that episode be about him feeling insecure at the thought of his future wife being his boss, but B99 didn't and I love them for it. Their love is so sweet and believable. I even teared up a little during the wedding scene because I'm an absolute sap like that. I also really, really like the chemistry between Rosa and her potential new girlfriend Alicia (as played by the also amazingly beautiful and talented Gina Rodriguez.) They had immediate chemistry- which I'm huge on -and Alicia seems like a genuinely cool and sweet woman. Anyone who can make Rosa lose her composure in front of people she cares about has gotta be something special. I'm hoping in the next season NBC will let them bring Gina Rodriguez back and she and Rosa will become TV's gayest and most dynamic power couple. That would be pretty sweet. Sorry that this has turned into Rosa and Jake fest. But if it helps, Holt and Kevin are definitely couple goals too and I'm glad Kevin'sgetting so much more screen time. I agree with Jake: I also want them to be my two gay dads. Not that I dont love my dad, I'm just welcoming in the extra role models, lol. Lord k ow I probably need it.NoTP:I love that the show steered away from it, because I wasn't really much a fan of the Boyle/Diaz Dynamic of season 1. But, I do honestly love them as bros together. It's another trope the show subverts since Charles is the one who's super in touch with his emotions and helps out Rosa in her relationships when she has trouble expressing hers. I just... I really love relation/friendships built on trust and respect. It's my jam.Favorite Other Pairings:I know she's not your fave but I do like Gina and Rosa together, they have a fun, snarky vibe together and Gina does genuinely care for Rosa and respect her opinions, way more than she does with most other people. Except maybe Holt. Also Amy and Rosa. I love episodes where the two of them team up together. Basically, what I'm saying here is that I just want Rosa to date ALL the girls on the show, haha.Least Favorite Character:I hate to say it, but I want a huge fan of Pimento? Like, he was dangerous and rude and I know he went through a lot of trauma undercover, but dude needed some help, and I mean just that, really. He needs to be in therapy for his PTSD because it's affecting his relationships and his whole life.I'm not too big a fan of Hitchcock either, just because like... Okay, so, Scully is dumb and occasionally rude, but at least he tries to be nice most of the time and even tries to contribute; Hitchcock is... kind of a jerk most of the time? I know that's the point, but still... like, fix yourself my dude. Also, I do really love to hate The Vulture. He's insufferable, but his dynamic with the team and their hate for him is so much fun to watch. Of course when I say least favorite, I still like these characters, it's just that if I had to pick, it would be these three.Favorite Season/Episode:I actually really like this past season a lot. Like, so much happened! ROSA CAME OUT! JAKE AND AMY GOT MARRIED! HOLT AND KEVIN GOT QUALITY SCREEN TIME AS A COUPLE! It was pretty amazing.I love the episode where Rosa came out to her parents. It was so sweet ♡ and I think it's really important that it ended in such a medium place. Like, that happens to people sometimes other TV shows, sometimes parents dont either accept you wholeheartedly or kick you out and denounce you. Sometimes, you just get stuck in a crappy in between place (note: not deflection btw, my parents are cool with my identity, but I has happened to people I know and it sucks watching them try and get through it without sacrificing the relationship between them and their parent[s]). And we never get to see that because TV likes to focus on the extremes. And Rosa found out that you can find your own family if you need too. Which, as you know, I am always up for in my media. Found family tropes for everyone!Who Would I Date:I mean... look how many times the words Jake and Rosa have come up in this post. In your heart of hearts you know the answer to this question.Rosa (whom I have to separate from her actress because I love them both, and for different reasons) would be a little hard to date for me, just because she's so closed off and sometimes ya girl needs some validation of affection. But she's so...so cool. She does the right thing, even if she'd rather hit the problem in the face with an axe, and I know she's a police officer but it still counts, damnit. She has all these layers to her, like the dancing and the gymnastics and stuff. She doesn't reject traditional femininity, it just doesn't appeal to her. Also I bet she'd make anyone feel hella safe. She's... honestly the best word I can come up with right now is dreamy. Rosa Diaz is a Dreamboat with a capital D, and I'm sorry, but if you dont think so you're wrong.Jake is kind of the polar opposite. The only thing I would see becoming a hypothetical issue in the hypothetical relationship is that I can also be immature and messy and garbage at being an adult. We'd be too similar and it wouldn't help anyone, unlike with Jake and Amy. But he's so sweet and caring and funny. He's a genuinely great guy who respects everyone who deserves it, and sometimes even people who don't. Plus he's definitely a good cuddler and I like being the big spoon, so that would work out well for us.----------------------As for The Good Place:(WARNING! Spoilers for The Good Place are below, so if you're asking me but haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend skipping this until you do watch it, because I don't want to spoil anything for you. It's that good.Favorite Main Character:How, actually, do you choose on this? How?!? I love them all so much, truly. Chidi is a nervous smol (though also very tol) beanpole. Eleanor is always a Mood™ and she shows so much growth over the course of just 2 seasons (same with Michael, but that'smore over the course of 1 season. I'llgive him a pass though because it was entertaining as hell when he finally realized the concept of mortality). Jason became so much more lovable and sweet in season 2. Janet is my favorite omniscient NonBinary robot ever. And Tahani is, to quote Eleanor directly, "A sexy, tan rapunzel. The dream." Plus, she really knows how to go all out with something, which is fun. I loved how into her role as Rhonda Mumps she got. Plus, watching her tell off her parents was so good.I think I'm gonna have to go with Either Chidi Eleanor or Janet. That's as much as I can narrow it down though, because I am weak.Favorite Female Character: Well, since Janet is not a girl, but instead- as mentioned above -an omniscient NonBinary robot person, I'll go with Eleanor. I think I just really relate to her character. Which means I should probably shape up my life, lol. But it's so nice to see a smart, funny, unladylike and kinda sleazy character, who ultimately has that heart of gold and a desire for self-improvement played like this by a woman as a main character. She's like the likeable, morally gray sidekick in so many romcoms, but she gets to be the focus for once. I dig it. Also, I tend to flock towards bi-coded characters. Have you seen Eleanor's collection of flannels (Janet could literally get her anything to wear, but mah girl craves that bi aesthetic)? Any of her interactions with Tahani? That girl is bi af, if not pan. OTP:Oh, for sure it's Teleanor (Elhani?). Like, the chemistry between Jameela Jamil and Kristen Bell is so thick. They're so good together! And I swear if I dont get a flashback to attempt #218 at some point I will cry. 2nd OTP is Chidi/Eleanor because a) they're super cute together, B) they make each other better, and C) LOOK MA, ITS AN INTERRACIAL COUPLE AS THE MAIN FOCUS OF A SITCOM WHERE THE POC IS A DUDE! I've heard tell of it in legends but never seen it before in real life! I joke, but seriously, it is neat to see.Runner up: J² (aka Janet & Jason). What can I say? I'm a sucker for cute, oddball couples who shouldn't work but ultimately do.NoTP:I wasn't very keen on Tahani/Jason. Like, it was a fun distraction, and it did lead to the scene where Tahani tells her parents she ate a cheeto, and it also gave us some much needed Janet screen time/character arc stuff, but they just didn't work for me as a couple. I think, though, that that was kind of the point? Like, they needed to make that mutual mistake together so they could get to where they needed to be. Jason grew up a bit and learned to problem solve and Tahani gained confidence and the personal growth she needed to tell off her douchey parents.Favorite Other Pairings: Is it weird to say Shawn/Michael? I feel like it is, but I would still read it. Also maybe Janet/Eleanor. That could be fun.Least Favorite Character:This is slightly less tough than the questions above, but if it came down to it and I had to pick, I'd probably say it's pretty much just amounts to a few of the characters that the show designed for me to hate.Figuratively, everyone in Tahani's family is a garbage human being. And not in like, the fun, likeable way that say Eleanor or Jason were 'garbage people,' but in the awful, 'I would gladly punch you in the face' kind of way instead. Same goes for Eleanor's parents and her roommates (Though the one who remained her friend after she switched up everything in the season finale was okish in S2, what little I saw of her). It's super weird, but I actually do like the demons for the most part. Shawn is amazing to watch, which I, in large part, chalk up to Marc Evan Jackson's performance. And I even liked Vicky and Trevor, in that same, The Vulture from B99 sort of way. So literal demons are more likeable than the characters mentioned above, which should tell you something.Favorite Season/Episode:Season 1 was amazing and that first Cliffhanger twist was wild and awesome and I didn't figure it out until about 30 seconds before Eleanor did because it was so good, but it wasn't just a twist for the sake of it either, like, the season was built around it and makes sense with it, which is really cool to see in a sitcom. HOWEVER, all things being equal and with that said, Season 2 was EVEN BETTER SOMEHOW?!?! they ditched the formula and changed it all up! It's a sitcom! They never do that! And they only spent like what, 1 to 2ish episodes replaying the new attempts? And they focused on some of the Bad Place characters too while they were doing it, so it didn't get boring. That could have so easily happened too, if it hadn't been handled as well as it was by the writers. But it was handled well and they kept changing things up and giving us more info on the characters lives and their deaths and all that good juicy character development stuff I love so much and it was so, so worth watching.Episode wise, season two had my favorite episodes too, starting with the big neighborhood-ending party and all the way up to the finale (the episodes before then were also great, obviously, but that run towards the end had me captivated so thoroughly I almost called in sick to work to finish them, haha.)The stuff where they infiltrate The Bad Place was golden. If I had, had, had to pick a single episode... yeah, nope, I'm still not able to because it comes up a tie between the one where they leave the neighborhood behind or the finale. There was so much good character stuff, and lots of little found family type moments and Mindy even got a little bit of a reward at the end! (Side note: something deep inside of me loves Mindy St. Claire so much and wishes I could have more of her confidence and fuck it attitude). The demons were hilarious and Judge Gen was a delight to watch! This show is just so good, it makes me want to cry a little. Just a bit. I'm so excited for season 3!! Less than a month left yeah! ♡Who Would I Date:It would probably come down to either Janet, or Eleanor. Tahani has potential, but she's too...aristocratic to actually date for me, I think. Chidi would be an amazing partner, but I feel like we're both such anxious people that it would quickly become an unmanageable tornado of stress and bad decision making, lol.Janet would be cool because she's weird and fun and chipper and so sweet, plus she has all the knowledge in the universe which is neat. I do love a smart cookie. And with Janet since I'm more demi/ace-ish and since she doesn't have sex parts, that would take a weight off my mind I think. So check off 'would date a self-aware, omniscient robot' on my list of weird character traits.Eleanor would also be a good candidate too because she's relatively down to earth and laid back, as well as being fun and relatable and just... kind of a cool chick. Plus, I know deep down she actually does care about things and is a decent human being, which is sort of a must in a partner, lol. The only drawback is that we might make each other worse because we'd probably let each other get away with a lot, so it might be somewhat counterproductive to the point of the show, haha. ----------------------Thank you so much for asking these! And for letting me rant and rave over my two favorite sitcoms in what has, apparently, turned out to be a fucking essay on 'Things I love about Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place'. Sorry I got so verbose about it. I'm also sorry that I, as a person, always fail so completely at making choices and narrowing things down, lol. But this was fun! Hopefully you've seen TGP, I'd absolutely hate, hate, hate to spoil such an excellent and surprising show for someone. Assuming you have, I'm gonna run over and ask you about this one too. In fact consider this an open invitation: if you need someone to talk to about B99 or TGP, consider me your gal!

Kristie’s Kdrama Recs
Big honkin’ list of my favorite Korean Dramas for @teatime-brutality (a newbie) and @deadlikedisco (a seasoned pro) but all are invited to sneak a peak! Come, peruse my recommendations and judge them against your favorites or perhaps even find a new one!
Before we start please know that Korean TV shows, once translated, tend to have various titles. I’ll do my best to address show’s multiple names but when in doubt google can help sort it out. Also, this is super long lol
Tumblr media
Seonam Girls High School Investigators (aka Detectives of Seonam Girls’ High School) (aka Highschool Detectives)
Sure, Seonam Girls has fantastic emotionally real female friendships...
And sure, Seonam Girls is often times surprisingly funny and wacky...
But Seonam Girls don’t play!
With a mini arc format tucked inside a long game mystery this is a series that is never boring.
This is also a series that attempts to tackle subject matter the overwhelming majority of Korean television is afraid to touch with a 10 foot poll.
These wonderful and delightful girls don’t inhabit a black and white world and the subject matter they’re often faced with divides the group’s opinions and doesn’t give viewers necessarily easy answers or easy understandings on human behavior and relationships.
There is never really a consensus on how the girls feel about all that they learn, but over time they grow in their respect for one another and come to respect the journey their detective work takes them on, and life.
WHAT A RIDE!
Loves it.

Reply 1997 (aka Answer Me 1997)
Yeah yeah yeah here we go go go
Its 1997 and the height of kpop’s first wave of idol boy bands is at it’s peak!
Intense fan devotion; unrequited love; family drama; friends being there for each other!
The Reply (or Answer Me) series are some of my personal favorite kdrama titles.
What blows me away about this show is the back and forth dynamic of the teenagers understanding what they value about each other and what makes them likeable within their isolated spaces versus the outside/real world values of adulthood - and then figuring out how to bridge who they are and their adolescence into who they want to be within the wider community.
Like, the main female character Sung Shi-won is regarded for her devotion to boy band H.O.T. by fellow students (including those who support opposing boy bands) but is chided by her teachers and parents for her fanatical choices; within her space she’s passionate, cunning, and resourceful, but when she looks up and around at the larger space she occupies she is unreasonable, goofy, and occasionally creepy.
This zooming in and out of spaces until a balance distance is found is what makes this series hard hitting (if not a little manipulative lol) drama gold.
TAMAGOTCHI PETS!
MYSTERY HUSBAND!
GOAT BLEATING!

Age of Youth (aka Hello My Twenties)
I love this show so muu-uu-uuuuuuch.
The young women of Belle Epoque are some of the most intensely relatable characters I’ve ever witnessed assembled - individually as well as with their group dynamics.
It’s about five women who share a house and they grow as people.
Pretty simple.
BUT this show is still outrageous!
High octane unique and personal emotions mixed with universal domestic shenanigans are the building blocks of Age of Youth’s total charm:
Somehow this series fantastically walks the line between being complete melodrama while also being one of the most honest depictions of female friendships I’ve ever seen.
And oh boy, it is downright magic to witness female characters so different from one another co-exist in the same narrative space with each of them being individually flawed yet fighting; scared yet willing; growing yet complete.
The cast’s performances are knock out masterclasses on ensemble work.
The show has it’s storyline pitfalls but what it excels at it does very, very well - especially nuanced character work and visual set ups.
An Example: The landlady of the Belle Epoque building is a mysterious, fascinating, and terrifically simple addition to the series’ overall feel and visual style of story execution. She isn’t a Greek chorus character but rather, I guess you could say, an oppositional force shown to combat life’s tribulations. She’s a constant reminder that independence and the self can and will win out strife and self-hate if we tend to ourselves and others properly.
lol sorry, got all meta on ya’ll there. I can only be me.
ANYWAYS
This is a addictive, unpredictable, deeply funny and ambitious series.
Oh my god please watch this show.

Wibbly wobbly timey wimey walkie-talkies!
Haha, actually this is a really intense and somber show - magical radio phones aside.
Who would have thought the magical realism I’ve been searching for in TV would come from police trying to solve crimes through time?
Its a case of simple premise with calculated execution; it’s pretty neat that the only thing that time travels is information and that our cast of characters (and their choices) is what carries the entire series along rather than deep focus on the mystery of how they’re communicating.
This show is, I dunno, I feel like it is best described as “hypnotic”.
I don’t want to go into the show that much as it’s one of those experience best met with as little expectation as possible.
I will say though that Signal is darker (visually and thematically) than a lot of other kdramas but still manages to broadcast it’s own brand of hopeful optimism.
The acting in this show is phenomenal so that’s a tight bonus as well.

Boys over Flowers
Mandatory suggestion; I think by law you have to suggest Boys Over Flowers because it’s such a classic.
Geum Jan Di works her butt off to attend a exclusive school that happens to be ran by the notorious F4, a group of over privileged pretty boys. After she lands on their shit list hilarity (and love) starts to bloom...
This is one of those shows where people either jive with it’s juvenile offerings or are offended by it’s crooked seams.
I happen to think it is a delightful product of its time; over the top, unbelievable; and completely charming!
Although, to be fair, Boys Over Flowers is considered frustrating among even it’s biggest fans as the teens tend to rapid fire misunderstand each other and are the root of all their own problems.
Buuuuut that’s kind of shojo manga’s deal and this is an adaptation of a immensely popular shojo title.
Boys Over Flowers is entirely in it’s own goofy style of teenage camp and if you’re not too serious and ready and willing for all the ups and downs (and ups and downs) it can be a really fun ride.
Tumblr media
Gaksital (aka Bridal Mask)
Based on the iconic manhwa by Huh Young-man, Gaksital is an amazing amalgamation of popular culture; a big budget kdrama adaptation of a popular comic book seeking to tell a difficult and painful national story through genre convention and subversion.
Lee Kang To is a local cooperator in Japan’s oppressive colonial rule and a proud member of the imperial police, to the horror of his mother. Kang To is vulgar in his desperation to rise in the ranks of Japanese society and abolish his Korean heritage but especially within his obsession for the rebellious figure of Bridal Mask; a masked individual seeking to spark the nation into resisting colonization.
As Gaksital takes place during the Japanese occupation of Korea this series is far more politically charged and violent than all others on my list.
And as the series is being told from the Korean perspective for a Korean audience be prepared for reflections on national scars and a lot of difficult subject matter the production assumes it’s viewership will have context for.
Which isn’t to say the production is not comic book-y (it is) or that it is aiming for the highest level of historical accuracy (it isn’t) or a non-Korean audience won’t “get it” (they will).
But, Gaksital does make the effort to be complex with it’s themes of power and choice by deeply embedding them into a historical (and emotional) backdrop and in having the context of the era be the key motivating factor in character’s choices and behavior - all of which relies heavily on the Korean concept of “han”.
Not an easy watch but most certainly an addictive one - as well as the longest clocking in at 28 episodes.
Tumblr media
Reply 1988 (aka Answer Me 1988)
Here it is, the best; the favorite; the Korean broadcast record holder.
This is straight up one of my favorite TV shows of all time.
All the known working parts of the Reply series are here:
Pin point cultural accuracy!
Heartfelt stories of family and friends!
Sung Dong-il and Lee Il-hwa as the parents of the main female protagonist!
Fantastic soundtrack!
Mystery husband!
GOAT BLEATING!
You’d think that these shows that have so many common threads would be boring by the third iteration but the exact opposite is true.
Naturally, you don’t have to watch Reply 1997 or Reply 1994 to enjoy Reply 1988; just pick one and go. They all work amazingly well if you’re just walking into them unbeknownst that they have a shtick and Reply 1988 is the best of the three so by all means go to town, highly encouraged in fact.
But SOMEHOW 1988 is almost enhanced by it’s shtick, by it’s known parts that viewers have come to expect. With the third go the series has really nailed it’s rhythm and writer Lee Woo-jung has really fine tuned what she is doing and has subdued the franchises’ least-working parts.
As always the ensemble acting and storytelling is dead on with the addition of a great balance this time around between the youths, the adults, and their ever evolving lives. Everyone gets their screen time and their stories and you’ll be pressed to find more believable and relatable characters.
What’s so fascinating about this show (and, again, the Reply series in general) is how it’s both a very culturally specific type of nostalgia as well as a complete acknowledgement on how truly universal so many aspects of the human experience really is.
Tumblr media
Tomorrow’s Cantabile  (aka Naeil's Cantabile)
Almost didn’t list this series because while it’s near and dear to me it has enough eyebrow raising action that I’m not 100% comfortable suggesting it as a “everyone” title.
This is one of those shows that has so many good things about it that the parts that are frustrating are made all the more glaring.
Overall the series is a wonderful adaptation of Tomoko Ninomiya’s manga about music nerds suffering and growing into their potential.
There is a lot of soul and a lot of fun in Tomorrow’s Cantabile but out of all the titles I’ve listed this one (and lets be real, Boys Over Flowers) is most like what non-watching folks generically assume when they think of “Korean Drama”.
But, then again, sometimes kdrama is kitschy melodrama and fart jokes with questionable means of displaying romance.
If it’s goofy and occasionally wince worthy ways don’t throw you off course then this show can really wiggle deep under your skin.
It’s easy to start to care and root for these orchestra nerds and the series will absolutely knock you flat with both it’s humor and drama when the time comes.

Goblin The Lonely and Great God (aka Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) (aka The Shining Lonely Goblin) (aka Goblin)
This show feels like it’s made for me personally: A melancholy gothic-y romance fantasy series about death! Oh boy!
Kim Shin is an immortal goblin who longs to end his life but only when he finds the ‘Goblin’s Bride’ will he be able to end his immortality and return to dust...
Oh, and a grim reaper is his housemate! Talk about awkward.
Goblin is an odd but very welcome diversion from a lot of what kdrama offers year after year.
This series surrounds itself in the creation of it’s own rich mythology for a very intense and interesting narrative drive.
Hilarious and devastating.
Challenging yet comforting.
Unique but grounded.
OMG I love it so much.
And since you can’t not mention it, Goblin is BEAUTIFUL. The cinematography on this show is bonkers.
But, I’ll be up front with y’all:
If you are someone who places a LOT of importance onto the ending of a story then it doesn’t hurt to know that this is a series whose ending seriously divides its viewers.
So, invest with caution I suppose.

Solomon’s Perjury  (aka The Trial of Solomon)
BUCKLE THE FUCK UP!
When a student from an elite high school falls to his death among suspicious circumstances a frustrated student body decide to hold their own mock trial. Each student has their own role to play, from the prosecutor to the defense attorney.
Facts assembled; secrets exposed; truth discovered; Solomon’s Perjury is an exceptional thriller filled with wonderful characters struggling to be wonderful people from within confusion, pain, and suspense.
Solomon’s Perjury isn’t an easy watch as it doesn’t shy away from difficult subject matter like broken school systems, corruption, abuse, and mental illness stigma.
The strength and maturity of the teenagers is contrasted against the cowardice and weakness of the adults with both groups opening up to understanding as the show progresses.
And progresses it does; this series has an exhausting pace that never lets up for long on moving it’s characters (and the audience) towards it’s fulfilling denouement.
With a tight script and a phenomenal young cast Solomon’s Perjury is perfect for binge watching and getting completely emotionally wrecked.
Which, if you’re like me, makes for a good time! The best time!
Clear your schedule.
Tumblr media
Coffee Prince (aka The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince)
Easily the most popular and enduring title on this entire list, Coffee Prince is a forever favorite for a lot of kdrama fans; so popular that it is probably still the #1 hook bringing folks into the kdrama world.
A handsome and hard working girl in need of a job is mistaken for being a boy, which she capitalizes on to start working at a coffee shop as part of it’s attractive male staff.
As the shop owner starts to fall in love with our androgynous lead he begins to question his sexual orientation within a wave of hilarity, heartbreak, and intensity.
As time wears on Coffee Prince’s production flaws actually enhance it’s character driven successes.
Sure, we can sometimes hear background street noise and there is bad lighting design and obviously this show didn’t get a budget even close to what dramas do now - but it’s still sooooo gooooood!
You want to insert yourself into it’s world just so you can sip coffee and observe all that’s around!
The series makes a lot of choices that seek to help push acceptance within Korean society and media but the fact of the matter is that often times LGBTQIA themes and plots in Korean drama seek to be coy and subversive so as to avoid the Korea Communications Commission and as such have more than a few similarities to the kind of innuendo found in pre-Hays Code Hollywood films.
Taking on LGBTQIA themes and plots head on isn’t common by any means, not today in 2017 or in 2007 when this show aired.
And as ambitious as the show tries to be it does, of course, negate away from the “repercussions” of displaying a true gay lead couple on Korean TV.
With a quick and addictive story and characters written as whole people brilliantly performed by a talented cast, Coffee Prince excels at being the definition of enjoyable entertainment and it’s very easy to understand why it has such a lasting legacy.
It is, however, potentially equally frustrating as it is endearing due to the show’s insistence on exploring big themes in completely safe waters - it really just depends on you as a person.
But I personally can’t not suggest this show.
WAFFLE GUY!
Tumblr media
W (aka W Two Worlds)
This friggin’ weird ass show.
A woman goes into her father’s popular comic series “W” and starts messing with his narrative and things get seriously complicated.
There ya go, that’s the show.
W is an odd package that works surprisingly well given how wacky it is.
What helps is the show doesn’t try to over extend; it knows what it is and what it is is a playful series that likes to tease and challenge viewers just as much as it likes to give pay offs.
What really stands out about W is that it isn’t just about the nature of writing and the idea of narrative responsibility, oh no.
This series goes hard on themes of what it means to be a recipient of art, of storytelling. Of being an audience.
Who has more power, the creator or the reader? Who truly defines the characters? Whose in control?
It’s a clever show that plays with meta ideas and isn’t afraid to get big and bold with pointing out common failings and tropes in serialized storytelling (both within comics and Korean dramas themselves).
One of my favorite things about the series is how the characters explore and take advantage of the ‘rules’ within the crafted narrative space, within the world of “W”, for their own benefit.
A wild and fun ride that goes up and down and all around that certainly works best with viewers who can go with the flow, laugh along with the in-jokes, and don’t mind being messed with.

49 Days
Using this image is kind of sadistic but it’s the best I could do.
I mean, the cast looks so happy right? What’s this drama about, huh? A family getting by? Maybe a group of friends finding love and happiness? Certainly it’s not about a dead woman inhabiting the body of a depressed woman in an effort to save herself by finding three people outside of her family who will cry sincere tears of grief for her within 49 days, right?!
No one is happy and everything hurts.
This right here is some Grade A melodrama - you know it’s good when you have to make a relationship flow chart with notes.
49 Days takes it’s premise from a Buddhist concept of death: The period between death and rebirth lasts 49 days and involves three bardos, which are the intermediate or transitional states that mark an individual’s life from birth to death and rebirth.
Twists and turns and reveals define this show and yet it doesn’t feel rushed. In fact, one of the bigger complaints I’ve read online is how it’s a little slow and long.
Which is fair criticism! I think 16 episodes would have been the sweet spot instead of the given 20.
But what’s so enjoyable about this series is how it tries to be SHOCK and AWE emotionally just as much as it is story wise, and not only in a sad fashion.
Because while, yes, you are going to cry, 49 Days is still a uplifting and occasionally very funny title that seeks to express the complexities of human emotions and the choices we make due to those complexities.

White Christmas
Isolated in the mountains of Gangwando there is a prestigious private school that’s harder to get into than Seoul University, a place where students compete fiercely and endure strictly enforced punishment. The only vacation days are the 8 days from Christmas Eve to the first day of the New Year. Seven students who receive anonymous letters remain at school over the winter break...
White Christmas is a series that approaches the simple query of nature vs. nurture with complex intensity with a green cast of newcomer actors left in the more than capable hands of fan favorite screen writer Park Yeon-Sun and veteran director Kim Yong-soo.
As paranoia descends we dive deeper into the duality and struggles of each student as they deal with the immensity of their fearful situation on top of their own personal histories and identities.
And as each day wears on the teens strip down closer and closer to the bone.
True empathy and true cruelty; the lies we tell others and the lies we tell ourselves; the savagery that can be inherent in survival and the monsters we can become when others are monstrous to us.
White Christmas is at all times understandable but imperfect, pretentious but real, clever but unsophisticated - clashes that make the series ripe for a cult following.
My favorite thing about this show is that it’s setting and style is as important as it’s plot and characters which is a common element that threads a lot of my personal favorite psychological thrillers together in the tradition of Shirley Jackson or Suspiria.
The school our fated teens find themselves trapped in is as much as a character as our flesh and blood cast. Architecturally crisp and clean during the day while jagged and sinister at night, there is lot of non verbal story telling and thematic evidence rippling through White Christmas and is also in part what cements it’s cult classic status.
Totally not an “everyone” title but idgaf, I have to let you know it exists!
Tumblr media
Hwang Jin Yi (aka Hwang Jini)
I really enjoy sageuk (historical) dramas but a lot of them are too long for me to commit to.
Thank god this amazing series based on the life of the famous gisaeng (performer/courtesan) Hawng Jini who rose to influence during the Joseon Dynasty is only 24 episodes long!
A historical and cultural icon known for her music, dancing, poetry and tragic love life; Hwang Jin Yi is a series that takes this enigmatic figure and elevates her to legendary status.
Which of course makes her struggle and pain all the more devastating.
With lush costumes, amazing set designs, beautiful dancing, and brilliant performances this isn’t a series to brush aside just because it’s “old” and historical.
Hwang Jin Yi is frustratingly relevant on what it has to say about women who dare to create art and how society views and treats them, within their lifetimes and after.
Back in the day there were a lot of great discussions on livejournal about how guarded Jin Yi was becoming as the episodes wore on and how towards the end she became more of an object in the drama instead of it’s subject - which was some of the most interesting fannish discussions I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.
Because it’s true!
People either seem to really love or really hate this series and that divide usually comes down to how the show presents it’s famous leading lady within the last few episodes.
Was Ji Yi boxed in by production missteps or is the character shutting herself off? Is her status in history that of a cultural object or lived subject? What about within her own life due to her social class and gender, did she feel in control or like an object? Does her art reflect her true self or only as much as the time period would allow?
Good shit.

Arang and the Magistrate
HAHA YESSSSSSS!
This show is about a ghost who harasses a government official into finding out how she died.
‘Cause we all know if you want the government to do anything you gotta haunt their ass.
Arang and the Magistrate comes from a famous folk tale called “The Legend of Arang” which this series expands upon exponentially.
I don’t want to get into it too much because I honestly think knowing less is an advantage but one thing I wasn’t expecting going into this show was a fleshed out multilayered high fantasy world.
Honestly I was expecting a ghost here and there peppered throughout a historical drama, so it’s safe to say I was totally blown away.
Arang and the Magistrate is seriously fun, hilariously dramatic, and action packed with believable emotions wrapped within some truly fantastic world building.
If you’re feeling flirty and adventurous please consider this series.
DO IT.
DON’T QUESTION IT.
WATCH THE WILD GHOST SHOW.
Tumblr media
Misaeng (aka Incomplete Life)
The biggest complaint about Misaeng is that it’s “boring and stressful”.
And, uh, that’s true.
HEAR ME OUT!
Misaeng is measured, deliberate, understated, and painstakingly realistic to the point where, yes, it’s borderline stressful to watch at times.
Based on the popular web comic by Yoon Tae Ho, the lives of the employees at a fictional trading company isn’t high stakes entertainment. Its completely mundane.
So then why does the heart race so often when watching it?!
Misaeng is intense to watch because it’s not about overcoming workplace and life unfairness - it’s about enduring it.
And therein lies the intense audience response.
The heart racing intensity of Misaeng seems out of place within it’s methodical pacing and “boring” subject matter but this series taps into one of the most universal of all human experiences: The pounding relatability of feeling like your life is incomplete or inadequate.
Office politics with all the bullying, favoritism, sexism, and gossip that goes on affects all involved yet no one can really do any one thing about it. They all have company roles to play, social norms to follow, and personal situations to consider.
As the kids say, “the struggle is real” - and in Misaeng that’s pretty literal.
What’s optimistic is that we see everyone’s hardships. We get to know and understand all of these characters very, very, well very, very, slowly.
We also get to see them win their small victories and grow together and find a coherent peace even if it isn’t flashy, mighty, and grand.
Even though it will be difficult on your heart I honestly can’t recommend this show enough.
Tumblr media
Chicago Typewriter
Chicago Typewriter is about a trio who lived during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea in the 1930's who are reincarnated and find their lives intertwining yet again in 2017.
Sounds intriguing, right? It is intriguing!
A typerwriter is a character.
Yeah, I don’t even know where to begin.
This series is INTENSE, okay? Very, very INTENSE.
There is always a lot happening; almost every scene is crammed with literary, art, and cinema references; the editing is nuts; the cinematography is glorious; the characters are over the top; and it’s overall presentation is pretentious to the point of being gut wrenching hysterical - and YET!
Why is this trash fire so goddamn fascinating?
Why do I care so much about EVERYTHING IT EVER DOES?
Even when it hits its more mellow stride???
If I have to try and explain it; Chicago Typewriter is kinda like LOST but with bigger and better ownership over it’s bullshit (which is a compliment, I swear).
This is a show for those of you who want to be run over by spectacle, like chasing the coat tails of plot theories, and thrive on visual thematic pay offs.
Tumblr media
Joseon X-Files (aka Joseon X-Files: Secret Book) (aka Secret Investigation Record)
YEAH BITCH.
This is EXACTLY what you think it is.
Joseon X-Files is a historical kdrama sci-fi thriller based on the American cult classic, The X-Files.
And, yes, before you even ask - of course there are UFOs, monsters of the week, sexual tension, and a Smoking Man.
I could go into tedious details but I’ll spare you and just get down to it:
Joseon X-Files is similar to the American series but it is mostly different.
You will not spend your entire time comparing and contrasting this show with the original. It will let you know when you should be doing exactly that, but most of the time you’ll be plenty wrapped up in it’s own fantastic brand of paranormal investigation.
You’ll invest in these new characters and new setting. You will see them as they’re presented and not just through a misty smoke screen of expectation, I promise.
Joseon X-Files is deeply impressive as it’s own series AND as a homage show and I say that as a hardcore X-Files fan.
And then if you’ve never really seen the original series, well, you’re in for a gigantic freaky treat!
Because this show doesn’t look or narratively flow like the bulk of kdrama it does take some getting use to. It’s shakey, harsh, plays long games, is visually dark, has long periods of no dialogue, and it isn’t overtly romantic.
What Joseon X-Files does have in spades is a consistent output and a intrinsic desire to be different. Which in my opinion are two of the hardest things to find in dreamland.
I’m the first to admit that there is a lot for me to personally enjoy about this series, but please give it a shot; it is the most unique title on this long list and yes I understand how funny that sounds since it’s a remake-thingy but you’ll see what I mean.
ALSO my absolute favorite thing about Joseon X-Files is how much it accomplishes on a budget of, like, five bucks. They had no money. None. But that doesn’t stop this series from being rewarding, fascinating, and creepy.

game of thrones, nuclear war, real life santis, lou theories, i’m evil, HERE WE GO!! i literally had to cut it off at the last one because it was just too much for now. i’ll try to answer some more later ok
we’re starting off on a great note
Anonymous said: gaddamn rooney's tiddies lookin' hella ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
STOP!!!!!!!!!!! THAT’S MY CHILD soaidfnjds she’s supposed to have like b/c cups (goals for me tbh, the big boob life is not fun) and sims 4 pregnancies just fuckin make them...NYOOM i’m mad you can’t edit sims’ bodies during pregnancy even with cas.fulleditmode on -___- so i let her live with her giant preggo tiddies for now
Ngl I want a kiss between Santi and Gianni (I'm sorry I'm literally trash)
then i’m here to satisfy your desires: they do kiss periodically because gianni is one of those people who’s like “why shouldn’t you kiss your friends?” free love 4 everyone
IM SCREAING AT UR YOUTUBE CHANNEL OK!!!! I LOVEEE IT, WOW
DON’T IT’S UGLY EXCEPT FOR LIKE TWO VIDEOS
hey this is kinda random but i thought joe seaward from glass animals looked kinda like santi? he has quite a weird face too lmao
oMG i actually love that, i know what you mean. that dude reminds me of a bull terrier lmao i actually saw glass animals like two weeks ago!! i didn’t really get a good look at the drummer but now i wish i did. missed connection
i just finished reading santi's story and ugh it almost had me in tears! beautiful, your story telling skills and editing skills are perfection!
ahhhhsdkgkds thank you so much ;____; that means the world to me <333
Unpopular opinion: im so done with game of thrones tbh. It's not even good anymore :/ I liked the first season but since then i've skipped through episodes because they are just sooo fucking boring and dragged out!
Tumblr media
see like the first three seasons were pretty good because they stayed true to the books. (actually that’s a lie, littlefinger’s chaos speech in the s3 finale was real fuckin bad because guess what: it was original material LMAO) the fourth season was where it started to get messy and then the fifth season was a fucking shitshow because they completely IGNORED the fourth book and cherrypicked all the “good” parts out of it (read: the most action-y parts, while ignoring all the most important pieces of character development) and they botched the dorne storyline, oh and who could forget the iconic moment of throwing in a rape (THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN THE BOOKS) just for fun :) love it! but anyway if you think the show is boring i probably wouldn’t recommend the books, they’re even slower getting through them lmao. but it’s worth it in my opinion. there’s so much they don’t include in the show and it makes me Angery
Okay, game of thrones fan here, I haven't read the books (yet at least, I bought book 1) but I feel like dany is going to practically turn into her father, this season she is already showing traits like his.......
OH YEAH i definitely feel like they’re moving in that direction in the process of revealing jon as the “true” king of westeros and it’s so bad lmfao. the thing is, like...cersei is already mad king 2.0? why do we need another one?????? the entire point of dany’s arc is that she’s constantly trying to deviate AWAY from the way her father ruled, demonstrated by the fact that she freed the slaves (whereas all the targaryens before were slave owners), the fact that she’s not perpetuating the whole incest thing (LMAO GUESS AGAIN BECAUSE JONERYS HAS TO HAPPEN FOR SOME FCKING REASON), the fact that she has dragons which haven’t existed in how many years...like, if she ever ends up being like her father in the books, it’s NOT gonna fucking happen like this. but i don’t think she will anyway, george rr martin has been pretty clear about her trajectory thus far. anyway this show is so ugly, next question
rooney's eye are so BIG
just like her tiddies lmao i kno sometimes i forget how big they are and then she does one of those silly endearing animations and i’m like o ;-; hello big dumb baby cow eyes
Cows? Are you secretly Matthew Daddario?
WHO i had to google him lmao i was about to say “oh the teen wolf guy” but jk @ myself u idiot it’s shadowhunters damn i literally googled “matthew daddario cows” and

im part of this online forum of girls that talks about our period and weather or not one of us might be pregnant and once this girl posted saying that her husband invited his mom without telling her to thier honeymoon and she didnt find out until they arrived at the hotel and she was already there. the most recent part reminded me of it. but long story short, her dad moved all her stuff out of his house and her friend came to pick her up and they got a divorce.
OISOJDFAKNLJSD WHAT!!! i’m guessing you sent this because of that thing i said about the reddit post lmfaooo imagine your mom on your honeymoon. why. that’s soooooooooo good 4 her u know. u don’t need to be married to his mom as well
thanks 4 trusting my love santi. he's beautiful
thank u he thinks ur beautiful too 💘
do you have any tips for runing game in good quality and fast?
euhhhhh the only tips i have for you are to merge your cc, close all other programs while you play your game, maybe invest in a cooling pad uhhhhhh yeah idk any other tips you can probably find on google
You told that thing about unfollowing people and I thought you unfollowed me, but then I checked and you didn't and I'm crying omg
lmao omg ;-; i literally cut my following list in half, it was so chaotic and it was making me anxious. so if ever unfollow any of you please don’t take it personally (i know it’s a stupid thing to say, and it’s a lot easier said than done) it’s just my brain explodes when there’s too much going on at once and some content blends into others, i’m trying to only follow people who i’m genuinely interested in enough to keep up with their posts from now on
I haven't been able to sleep in over 72 hours thanks to the constant fear over the looming world war. I'm fine. Completely fine
Oh shit, have you noticed that the media has been putting out more 'what to do during a nuclear attack' kinda articles? This world is slowly going to shit, for real. I'm not even near any of the danger really, but it still absolutely terrifies me to see all of that bc it could very well go wrong and hit my place as well yknow? I have no idea why i send this to you but you seem chill and calm so thanks for reading my freakout askfjsls
YEP it’s pretty terrifying. but at the same time don’t let fear overwhelm you, fearmongering is an ugly, ugly thing and you don’t want to live your life constantly worrying. so just prepare yourself for what might come, but at the same time, just spend as much time with your loved ones as you can, do all the things you’ve ever wanted to do, and then if it doesn’t turn out as bad as we thought it would, you *tim mcgraw voice* lived like u were dyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyin’
@ Jesus anon: I really don't think it's the right time to complain about "using the lord name in vain" when there are people terrified of leaving their homes bc they are afraid to get killed (aka that poor, poor Jewish anon in charlottesville)
yeah idk like i want to respect everyone but it seemed to be in poor taste to bring that up at a time like that lmao. and also i’ve literally never in my entire life met someone who actually takes “don’t say the lord’s name in vain” seriously.
I asked about the poses and HOLY CRAP THANK YOU SO MUCH! I finally have good poses to use for story telling. Thank you soo so so so sooooo much!
YAY i’m glad you found some good stuff <3 and honestly just going through lana’s blog you’ll find a ton of good poses, it’s a gold mine
Idk how much tv you watch, but have you've ever come across a tv show that used music from The Sim? Because once in a while I'll hear Sims 3 build/buy music on some random show and I'll get a lil shook because I find it so weird that the generic music they're using comes from a major game title.
OMG LMAO NO what i wish i’d come across that tho. one time i used sims 1 music in a video i made for school and someone recognized it
I love your stories gosh I check your page "it's everyday bro with femmesim flow" Lol sorry for that awkward Jake Paul "poop" ❤️
lmao thank u i had no idea who jake paul was until my friends started talking about him
yo, I also remember once in french class real life santi asked me what videos games I like to play. When I told him the sims, he looked at me for a while and shaked his head. He was like, "why do you want to watch your sims use the toilet?"
WHY DO YOU WANT TO WATCH YOUR SIMS USE THE TOILET SAME that’s all i care about when i play
that rooney face in the 5 facts is so iconic, its my fave picture of her. You should blow it up and frame it
i should tbh. i should print it out and put it in my wallet to show everyone because she is my child
sorry the bother you, merging cc makes your game smoother? can you explain to me please?
boop
hi i love you ♡ pass it on
I LOVE U
Can I say that hearing a MacBooks fans screaming for dear life as they try to cool down when playing the sims has actually started to haunt my nightmares
SAME my macbook is actually doing it right now for no reason. thanks laptop
Maybe Santi should go to therapy to talk out his issues.
maybe he should 🤔  but tbh he’s already talked out everything, there’s nothing really more to talk out. he just has to cope with it. he’s treated lou like his therapist thus far and that’s not okay
i love ur story and omg i totally get where lou is coming from with being tired of being compared to molly by santi, thatd hurt so much esp with how much she cares about him
thank youuu ;-; i’m glad you understand, this was a part i’d wanted to get out for a loooong time now, and i know you guys were always like “um why does she put up with this” lmao. she just loves him, that’s why. but you’re right, it does hurt.
My theory is very similar to the other anons in that Fiona's dad/Lou's ex had a mental illness (schizophrenia, depression, what have you) but he actually did kill himself and that's why she's not completely losing it on Santi because I feel like most people in that situation would have not handled it as well as Lou did
🤔 you’re right about the last part, and there’s a reason she has so much patience, das all i’m sayin
i started your story from the beginning last night and i am in awe. Its amazing. It inspired me to put a little more effort in learning to edit and write. It was like reading screen caps from a movie! I didn't want to stop reading. Anyway thing was a super sappy ask, but i appreciate your stuff. And i'm bad at putting my thoughts into words.
omg ;__________; when people tell me i inspired them it means the most to me, my brain just can’t process it lmao. so thank you so so much ;-; <333 THE MOVIE THING ESPECIALLY GOT ME IN THE HEART because i feel like that’s my aesthetic with most things i create because i’m such a film person lol. don’t worry i love super sappy, and you did a good job of wording everything because it got me right in the feels <33
Okay I've been snickering for about 43 minutes bc SANTI GOT THAT GRU CHINNN
WOT is that i googled it and the only thing that came up was the dad from despicable me lmfaosdkjfs but ok
Please, please do punk edits of your some of your characters! I'd die.
WHAT DOES THIS MEANNN do you mean like. those 2010 tumblr edits of punk disney characters and then the joker from suicide squad looked like one of them. do u want santi to be the joker. because my boyfriend already relates him to suicide squad joker because of his face tatt lmao
You love to make me cry
i do i’m sorry. if it makes you feel any better i love to make myself cry too. but my biceps grow stronger with every tear
Tumblr media
I reeeally dont think those chancla comments were offensive??? Why would they be?? I'm hispanic (born and raised in the sunny Dominican Republic, received a fair amount of chancletazos myself) and I laughed out loud when i read them 😂😂
I JUST WANT U TO KNOW I SHOWED @ichosim THIS MESSAGE AND SHE LAUGHED FOR 12 HOURS AT “CHANCLETAZOS”
whATT my little brothers name is santiago n we call him santi for short!! guess it's not rly that uncommon but we live in a small country and he's also 4 so like,, no other santiagos!! idk why im saying this its completely irrelevant just kinda surprised me :'))
OMG wow hell yeah another real life santi...santi acts like a 4 yr old so he might as well be your brother
Just curious.. Do you play sims or just use it for storytelling? Sorry if thats weird haha
well my recent gameplay pics should answer your question lmao. i do like to play but i don’t have enough time to both play and pose scenes so i mostly just pose scenes for now. :[ i am gonna be off work for like two weeks tho so hell yeah gameplay here i come!!
I'm starting a Fiona appreciation movement because she is the real star of santis story RT and i love her and she is way underappreciated and I love her KThxBi
SHE IS THE REAL STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i’ve said this before but santi’s relationship with her is the most important to me, out of every relationship he has in this story. i’m so glad you love her so much, sorry about what’s about to come in the next few scenes tho
Tumblr media
Oh my heart, Santi is alive, god exist
Tumblr media
I have a pretty hard time understanding Santi's story mostly because I'm not English but I'm sure I'll figure it out:)
ahh oh no D: i’m sorry i wish i spoke every language in the world lmao. if you want, you can message me off anon and i’ll help you understand it!!
Lou is an angel honestly
“there are worse things than seeing an angel before you die”
what tablet do you use? or how do you draw hair? it looks so pretty.
omg haha i don’t have one! i wish i did tho. all of the brushes i got from deviantart, i’m trying to find the specific ones but they’re all elusive wtf. i’ll post them when i find them! for now, here’s a good guide to drawing hair, by airi <3
Nah nah I always knew you'd save him.....eheheeh.....THANK YOU FOR NOT KILLING BABBY SANTEEEEEEEEE DNDDNSKANW YOU WOULD HAVE HAD SO MUCH BLOOD ON UR HANDS AS ALL UR FOLLOWERS COLLECTIVELY DIE FROM A BROKEN HEART BUT DW WE DIDNT BECAUSE UR QN ANGEL....but I toooootally knew you'd save him... /sweats/
I’M GLAD U HAD FAITH <3 i know omfg i would’ve expected a mob at my house if i’d actually killed him. if i ever killed him i would just lay down somewhere and die. that’s it for me
Lou & molly almost always have teeth showing, do you draw them on each pic?x
no, only sometimes i’ve drawn them when i felt like their mouths weren’t matching the expression i wanted. but most of the time it’s just the pose.
is it too late to send 16k dollars to guarantee santi's inclusion in a loving home with loving friends
it is absolutely never too late to send me 16k i promise you that
I just bought school books for $550 who knew studying marine biology could be so fuckING EXPENSIVE
EWW WTF...i’ve been lucky and haven’t had to spend a ton on books in my college career (one time i even went to such lengths that i got access to free trial version of one of my school books in a pdf, screencapped EVERY SINGLE PAGE, which was more than 400 pages, just so i wouldn’t have to spend $70 on it. i love cheating the system)
waIT i never saw ur selfie where is it, must see
u could probably just search “selfie” on my blog and find it, or enjoy the ugly closeup drunk snap i posted last night
Hey guys I'm a happy trans man that has no mental illnesses. I'm fucking pissed about Trump's ban. And to any one that says it's logical FUCK YOU! I'm having flashbacks to don't ask, don't tell because this is the same fucking wacked up logic. I'm so angry, like I'm a human, yes I may require testosterone shots once a month but that's it, I even administer them to myself. I pay for them with my own god damn money so fuck you transphobic bigots who say this law is fair. It's not. WE ARE HUMAN TOO Also same anon that ranted. Sorry about that I'm just really pissed and I love and thank you for sticking up for the community. We love you and I love you. And you're right not all trans people transition. We all do what we want to. Some start on T or E and have the full surgery. Some just have top surgery. Some just do testosterone or estrogen. Some never do anything. We're all still trans and we're all valid.
YES ALL OF THIS, sorry i didn’t answer this when it was all happening. but askdkjfas thank you for this message, I LOVE YOU TOO, SO MUCH <333 and i’m glad you feel comfortable enough to voice this in my inbox. yes every trans person is valid no matter what they decide to do with their bodies <3
One of those old hot topic shirts that said " if Darryl dies we riot " but with santi instead of Darryl.
OMG LMAOOOOO NOW THAT’S A CONCEPT who’s making these i want one
your use of references and reaction pics and gifs fucken KILLS ME
Tumblr media
Crystal anon here. I googled around my area to find there are none of those y'know, crystal, candle, incense, magic type shops. I have panic attacks when I go outside and I wanted to look into alternative stuff since I'm on meds and w/e. I wanted to know if you or friends had any experience or recommendations for buying crystals online like on etsy or amazon. How can you tell if they're real?x
ooooh ok. usually there are shops like those in cities or even in towns with like kitschy little promenades with independent shops. (i know there’s one around the town over from mine, which is so random lmao) i do have friends that have crystals but i think they mostly just collect them for the ~good vibez~ and don’t really look too far into the healing aspects of them. i would say first go with the one that coincides with your birth because those are the ones that are like specifically catered to you and strengthen your being. as for buying online, hmmmmm i mean i don’t really know any specific trustworthy sellers because i don’t have much experience with this, but definitely read the reviews! those will help you a lot <3
Hello could you please tell us how you edited the pic of rooney in that one post that the anon asked for the unedited version?
i honestly didn’t do much of anything that differs from my usual editing process! i made her eyes a bit bigger by using the clone tool, cloning the top of her eye and applying it a little bit farther up...if that makes sense. it’s hard to explain how to use that tool lmao. and i think i used the liquify tool to bring part of her eyebrow down to look more worried.
there's still a part of me that says she ain't dead and molly is just in a coma lmao end mE
OMFLDKGKJS yeah she’s not dead surprise. i WILL say there is still flashback stuff that will be revealed. well not “revealed” like molly’s death was revealed, like i just still have to showcase some things that happened afterward. because it doesn’t just end with molly’s death, there’s stuff after that as well :~}
I'm Mexican, have lived around Mexicans, have been to Mexico multiple times growing up, just came back from a family trip at practically the border between Mexico and Guatemala and never in my life have I ever heard the word "joder" i had to look it up xD (not hating or anything I just thought I'd mention it cuz I found it funny...lol) k bye...
OK NOT SURE IF the ppl you’ve been around just don’t curse or whatever but...joder is DEFINITELY something i’ve heard mexican people say before lmao
Okay so this is random, but i was telling my sister the name of one your characters in ur story (santi) and she kinda just starts singing his name, and she said "santi high, santi low, santi go." And im just sitting there, like woah.
LMFAO WHATKNJDSKJGD “woah” same
u gonna incorporate fis hat into a really like emotional sad thing in her story huh
oMG i wasn’t planning on it but hmm 🤔
Why no el chingo? NO ME GUSTA (I'm joking btw ily)
LMFAOOOO because i didn’t wanna have to defile my son by downloading the penis mod RIP
let santi grow out dem eyebrows 2kforever
omg he does let them grow out except for the little line he shaved in when he was 14 that never grew back RIP
in ur bio it says "kt" and i know why,, it means killing them as in killing off ur characters slowly i see u gurl
Tumblr media
i bet this story was just an excuse for you to see the world burn. well done.
OMG i mean, that was definitely one of the side effects of it all. but really it was just that i NEEDED to get this story out after it had lived in my brain for so long.
ur dead 2 me
Tumblr media
I... just.... can't... too much pain Y U DO DIS 2 UZ?!?!!!

Hmmm The Tudors?
Hey there,
send me a fandom and i’ll tell you… THE TUDORS
the first character i ever fell in love with: Anne Boleyn
a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: Catherine Parr, I don’t hate her or anything, but as I have read more into her story, the fact that she went along (perhaps unwittingly) with Thomas Seymour’s abuse of a young Elizabeth, kind of put me off her a bit. I still like her though, just not as much.
a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: None come to mind.
my ultimate favorite character™: Anne Boleyn (I know I'm too obvious)
prettiest character: Anne Boleyn, Mary Tudor,Queen Claude and little Anne was really cute (this is solely based on the actors though and not the historical figures).
my most hated character: N/A
my OTP: Historically, I would pair Anne Boleyn and Henry Percy together, it is a shame that from apart for one scene, were he wasn’t even mentioned by name, that Henry Percy appeared in the whole season. TV, I would have to say that I felt some vibes between Anne of Cleves and Charles Brandon lol.
my NOTP: Weirdly, I wanted to see how the show would deal with Thomas Seymour and Elizabeth Tudor, but they didn’t even speak when they were in scenes together, so we’ll never know how they would have dealt with such a delicate subject.
favorite episode: I don’t think I have a favourite… maybe season 2 episode 10. I really loved the childhood of Anne Boleyn sequence and the casting for little Anne was on point.
saddest death: Oh my… there is so many? I would have to say Anne Boleyn for sure, the combination between her execution and the dream sequence of her childhood always saddens me and Natalie was fantastic in that scene. I also felt a little sorry for Cromwell in the end, I mean the guy was only trying to do his job, it wasn’t his fault Henry didn’t like his new wife.
favorite season: Season 2 - It has been a while since I have watched this series, but I found all the actors to be great in that season, especially since we lost so many of the main cast.
least favorite season: Season 3 - It was just so boring and that plot with fictional mistress was just unnecessary, they could have used that time to flesh out the character of Jane Seymour and her brothers, and gave us more of Anne of Cleves and Kathryn Howard.
character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but i hate: I really don’t know, I have to say maybe Jane (nobody hate me!!) she is just my least favourite of the six wives and I also thought that her character arc in the show was just too sweet and innocent for my liking, I wanted to see more grit to her character than what we got.
my ‘you’re piece of trash, but you’re still a fave’ fave: N/A
my ‘beautiful cinnamon roll who deserves better than this’ fave: Kathryn Howard. I feel that her character could have done with a complete makeover, I thought that we would eventually get past the seductive, flirty, silly woman and see a young girl that was emotionally broken and had been used for other peoples gain, but unfortunately we did not get enough of that until, perhaps her last episode.
my ‘this ship is wrong, nasty, and makes me want to cleanse my soul, but i still love it’ ship: Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, but that is just because the actors playing them have fantastic chemistry.
my ‘they’re kind of cute, and i lowkey ship them, but i’m not too invested’ ship: Mary Tudor and Philip of Bavaria, they were cute on the show and I felt sorry when Mary couldn't marry him, but it is more of a hit or miss for me.
Thanks for asking me, Charlotte!!

So I was a lazy bum today but was also productive and had shit to get done so I don't feel too bad about it and I'm gonna try to make up for it by being proactive tomorrow. But yeah, self-care for me lately has been like blowing responsibilities off so I can do shit I actually need to do, so I blew off mock trial practice and they weren't happy about it which made me feel bad but I was tired, dammit, and I had to do shit. Anyway. I woke up at some point and looked up where the nearest art supply store was because I needed to get supplies for the Valentine's Day card making event we're having on Wednesday. To my surprise one popped up like two blocks from me on Main Street that I hadn't seen before but I had the feeling it was gonna be like, a ritzy art supply store (because I live in a hipster neighborhood like that) when I needed more like a Michaels, but I set out to check it out and if not go to Michaels and then come back to go grocery shopping. So I head over there and as I thought, it's got like paintbrushes and figure models and not like Valentine's Day stickers and markers haha so that was a bus. I knew there was a Michaels with the dsw/marshalls I'd gone to before. So I hopped on the bus and went there, then roamed around the store for a while picking up different stuff and weighing what I could get. I ended up with a pack of construction paper, assorted stickers, 40 markers, 3 glue sticks, 3 pairs of scissors, and other Valentine's related little foam things and such and maybe something else but that's what I can remember for now lol. The line was like super long, and when I was like halfway through the lady in front of me just turns around with this panicked look on her face and is like "ohmygosh, I picked up the wrong color of these, I need to go and-" and I was like yeah of course go switch them out haha it's not gonna really affect anyone else's life, and she's like "are you sure??" and I was just like yeah of course! So she runs through the store and comes back and is just like "thank you so much!!" Haha and it just kind of made me laugh cuz like I don't understand people who would've been like "no, I won't hold your place in line, because I'm an asshole human being" so I was glad at least I could make her day a little better. Back on the bus to my neighborhood, and then to the grocery store. I didn't need too many things, just sort of an in between trip for milk, cereal, yogurt, and various lunch stuff and snacks for it, given how often I wind up packing lunches/dinners. The check out line is always super long there too, but there was a very cute little boy in the cart in front of me who kept looking at me and smiling and it kept me very entertained haha much to his and his mother's amusement. Headed home and put my groceries away and then jumped right into my reading for crim pro, being that it's the reading I'm actually doing every week, lol. It was only like 30 pages and one case though so it only took like an hour and a half, and the case was one I was familiar with because of the undisclosed podcast and their coverage of the Adnan Syed case, because it's the case that sets up the standard for ineffective assistance of counsel claims, so I knew much of what the substance of the case would be. I didn't imagine the facts of the case to be what they were though, like for it to make it to the Supreme Court I would've thought the facts would've been more compelling, but this guy ignored all his lawyers advice right through the sentencing hearing and wound up getting sentenced to death for 3 capital murders and various other crimes, then claims his lawyer was ineffective in finding enough stuff on mitigating circumstances at the sentencing hearing, and I'm just like, dude, as much as I abhor the death penalty and hate to think that anyone would meet such a fate, you really dug your own hole here by ignoring literally everything your lawyer told you, and the court agreed, but the test is still used for ineffective assistance of counsel claims (in the case that you might be interested I won't bore you with an explanation, but just google the Strickland case and you'll find plenty on it). I wanted to finish early enough to still get some cooking done because I had set some chicken out to defrost to make a big batch meal for me to take with me during the week, and of course I finish literally at 7 o click on the dot which was my goal lol so that was good. I had decided I was gonna try this recipe for ritz cracker ranch chicken, which is unsurprisingly made out of chicken, ranch, and crushed ritz crackers, lol. Pretty simple, just cut the chicken into strips, dip it in the ranch, then the crushed ritz, stick it on a baking sheet and let it bake for 25 minutes, and you're done, and it turned out pretty good, definitely easy enough. I was itching to bake something else though, so I decided to try another version of blueberry muffins because I was less than satisfied by the last recipe I tried. So while the chicken cooked I ran around doing that and then set them in the oven while I retired to my laptop and the tv. They also came out pretty good. The only thing waiting on my dvr for me to watch was how to get away with murder, which I'm still largely apathetic to at this point but I'll keep watching for now because I'm already invested at this point. It was fine I guess, Frank confessing wasn't terribly surprising, though I wouldn't be surprised if he bsed the whole thing (but also wouldn't be surprised if he really did it). I think it's an interesting story choice to keep Annalise in jail for so long, and to clearly show her deteriorating so much. Definitely reminds me of Cary's prison arc on TGW but less well done haha. And I miss the cases, dammit! I don't like it just being stupid drama of all the people they've fucking killed, lol. I wasn't very surprised when Oliver hacked the DA and they were investigating Annalise on like all of the people they fucking killed because like of course someone's gonna put together a hella lot of people around her have been dying, though she may not have directly been murdering them. But yeah, it was fine. I had to pick a new show now, so on the recommendation of a few people recently I started crazy ex-girlfriend which I totally love so far. I somehow didn't know/heard at some point but forgot that it was a musical so of course that was lovely, and I was instantly like omg Rebecca is totally me, even before I found out she was a lawyer haha so that really just cemented it. It's super clever and I'm loving the music so far, so I'm looking forward, to watching the rest of it. And yeah, that about wrapped up my night. The deal with tomorrow is that nursery sign ups are like nonexistent, we currently have nobody on the 8 am and 1 person for the 9:30, so I was texting the lady who's over me about it and she said she thinks her and the other lady over the kids ministry could cover the 8, and I said I would try to make it for the 9:30 because that's generally the craziest service, averaging like 15-20 babies and obviously that would be a problem for like one or two people haha. Normally the 9:30 is anchored by my lawyer couple friends, but they're at the Midwestern public interest law conference this weekend which some people from my school are also at, so that's cool for them. But yeah, I'm gonna try really really hard not to be lazy in the morning because I mean, babies, and if things work out as planned I should be able to do nursery, service, nursery, which is a pretty perfect set up for getting to see lots of babies and still getting to see the service and having it broken up a bit. So yeah, until then, sleep. Goodnight dudes. I hope you had a lovely Saturday.
