the thing about bela, for me at least, is that i do not care about her tragic past. rip to the people who needed to know she was abused in order to feel sympathy for her but i'm different. i would be rooting for her regardless. she's hot and more importantly: she's fun. what more could you possibly want in a character

Bela had to die, because if the boys found out exactly why she killed her parents I fear they’d defintiely could reluctantly bond over parental trauma, and the show needs the boys to repress as much trauma as possible 💀

one of the scariest parts of spn for me is the crossroads deals. the symbolism for generational trauma and family curses runs deep.

idc that they parodied it in later seasons or tried to find an escape / cure.

the rawness & the emptiness of the episode where they introduced the lore (crossroad blues 2.08) is terrifying. that painter who wished for talent instead of fame/money like ‘i just want to finish my painting’ then i’m literally going to hell forever. even the intro & then seeing later on what the hallucinations look like. it made souls feel tangible. time. ticking, heavy burden never ever fully relaxed.

the whole concept is scary and i love that they never downplayed it. that is why s3 puts u on the edge of your seat and plays with ur emotions. you’re thinking surely there’s a way out for dean but there isn’t one wtf! i love that they didn’t really show what hell was like. i love (4.09) where sam is grieving and in so much pain goes to the crossroads to trade places with dean. like that is truly insane. even if u look at how darkly lit and spooky atmosphere these scenes r giving.

also bela’s deal??? that shit makes me feel sick. i remember the first time i watched her flashback - the shock horror of it. i’m sure there’s something else we can connect the deals to in real life. but just really thinking abt it as a concept. the desperation or greed or numbness or sacrifice? there are so many different reasons throughout this the show.
