The horrors of the world are real! They will not magically go away. Trying in pathetic vain to pretend otherwise is weak and foolish. Taking a break from the horrors if you are able is fine but don't lure yourself to completely turn away from them.

We all must face the horrors of the world. Must face them head on in all there details. No matter what it is.

Facing the fact Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians. That no government on our planet is doing shit to stop it. Especially the government I live under which is the US.

It's a mixture of profound sadness, anger, rage, empathy, frustration and sadness once again. Because my eyes are open to what is happening to the Palestinian people, to places they called home, to fact these other group of humans want to extreminate them off the planet, to all the lives, voices and souls forever lost.

We can support, we cry out, we can scream for the Palestinian people, animals and land. But what can we truly do to help stop what is happening to them!? We the people of world we can not allow all these beautiful Palestinian people still alive to be lost. We can't allow the voices of those lost to go forever silent.

We all have to stand up in the ways that we can. Make as much noise as possible to every government in the world, put as much pressure on our governments demand a ceasefire by Israel! They must stop bombing the Palestinians in anyway. If they don't heavy sanctions they must come from the US against them.

There is only one way I can think that this might happen. We as the people of the world, in the US, UK, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, etc we have protest what Israel is doing. But as one body, as one singular consciousness all demanding the very same thing on the very same day!!

in case any of you missed it, despite the ICJ's ruling for Israel to facilitate MORE aid into Gaza, the global west has responded by cutting funding to UNWRA, which is responsible for delivering significant amounts of aid into Gaza, as well as surrounding areas such as Lebanon. The countries cutting funding consist of the US, Australia, the UK, the Netherlands, Swritzerland, Italy, Germany, Finland, Canada and Japan. This was all due to a claim by Israel that members of UNWRA were Hamas-members or sympathisers which, at the end of the day, is a claim that concerns only 12 members in a total of 30,000.

Without proper funding, UNWRA is likely to run out of resources by February of this year (only another month) and urges the countries that have suspended donations to reconsider. This is a blatant move from the colonialist countries of this world to starve Palestinians even further when they are already facing unforeseen levels of famine.

Please take some time out of your day to call your reps, your political leaders and urge them to restart their funding. In the meantime, here is a link to donate to the UNWRA.

I’ve already said it, I’ll say it again, Mal du Pays is such a visceral and clever word to describe Siffrin’s Sadness. When I first saw it in game it genuinely made me pause like. Yes, it translates to homesickness. But it has the literal word for country in it. “Country sickness”. For a guy whose core problem is that his childhood, his culture, his country is missing. One could argue it’s a twisted pun. I’m obsessed with it.
