I think a real fun and neat part about all the speedsters in existence dealing with their powers glitching them into 5D incomprehensible planes filled with Eldritch Horrors and nightmares on the daily is that we get to see their reactions to that.

Wally, for example? He shoves that shit deep, deep down and tries to pretend it isn't happening. Denial all the way baby, let's go.

Ace and Avery? Play videogames and hope it goes away while you teeter on the verge of a panic attack.

Irey? Stare at the void and watch as it stares back.

Jai? Stare at the void and then get beat up by the void. Cry a little. The void stole your clothes, now what?

Barry? Depressive spiral. He's in his room now. He lives there. The door is locked.

Max? Spiritual enlightenment. Speaks to the Speedforce Buffalo

Bart? Unfazed. Doesn't even realize it's happening because this is just Tuesday for Bart. He's eating novelty pickles. Get on his level.

So, stay with me on this one: Wally is dealing with people mysteriously floating away in bubbles that freeze people in time and also dealing with Grodd's army of time traveling Gorillas and also dealing with a bunch of sentient Gods and also dealing with a homicidal Bethesda glitch (aka Porcupine Man Part Two: This Time he's a 15 y/o named Chad) and also dealing with a delusional homicidal Bethesda glitch (aka the Folded Man) WHILE the speedforce is also glitching the fuck out and messing with his powers ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

Alright so all of this is going on and Wally is handling it, but no big deal I hear you say, there's like 50 speedsters. Wally has enough family members to handle this whole situation no problem.

Here's the fucking hilarious part. Okay, so, Jay? On family leave. Irey, Jai, Wade and Judy? Not cleared for active field work.

But still, there's always Wally's Kid Flash, his adopted brother and biological cousin, Ace West and Avery Ho, the pseudo sister of the Flash family and the biggest threat to Wally's title of 'Barry's favorite child' since... ever. Surely Wally can rely on them to-

I mean, Barry is retired but he sees the massive fucked up hole in reality that Wally is trying to fix (did I forget to mention that part? Yeah that's a thing as well), so obviously he would go help W-

i really really really hope dc doesn't keep irey and jai in a weird time bubble where they stay the same age perpetually like they've done with impulse ever since his brief stint as the flash failed.

we've literally seen future irey in a kid flash suit.

i sincerely hope that years down the line we will have had an entire progression from irey as a child to taking over the flash mantle. jai's future is a bit more uncertain but i know he ends up with gold beetle and i'd like to see the start of that.

also like let bart age again please??
