Twisted Wonderland Replaced AU (With a twist)
Warning (s): Betrayal, Implied Bullying, Implied Death, Disturbing Description (?), Slight Horror, Body Possesion, Manipulation etc
Gender Neutral Yuu/Reader
Tumblr media
𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃, had been teleported here in NRC. Everyone, I mean everyone started ignoring you, Ace and Deuce didn't talked to you anymore ever since this new student came, Everyone else is busy gawking and praising the new student, the new student was just like you: Magicless and in a different dimension. The new student was seen to be a flawless person, 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 eyes, 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 skin, 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 hair and etc, but everything about them was 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓. Everyone in NRC saw them as some sort of god. Someone with no mistakes, someone 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 that can do everything good.
And someone that everyone compared you with...
Almost everyone in NRC compared you, to them. Saying of how they have better grades, better appearance, better voice, better personality and a better version of you. That's what pissed you off. But of course, you didn't blamed the new student. They didn't do anything wrong... Of course they didn't, they were a nice and kind person and someone that you like just like how you like everyone else in NRC.
But did they even like you anymore after this new student came...? Perhaps not anymore...
You watched everyone loving the new student. Everyone, everyone that you helped in order for them to trust you because you don't belong in this world, Because you're Magicless, you had never gotten that type of special treatment that everyone else is giving the new student. You never received attention, you never received kind words that much, you never get endless affection and thank you's, the new student is Magicless as well... So why weren't you getting that treatment before?
Was everyone else right when they said that the new student was better than you? Because they're 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓? Is that it? Is that why your dying right now? Because your literally bleeding on the ground after an incident that happened earlier, and no one else is around to save you because they're too busy saving the new student or saving themselves.
Feeling the ground against your body, bleeding and coughing out your blood that was once inside your flesh and veins, to keep you Healthy and yet, your here coughing it out because your literally fucking injured and no one is saving you... Not even Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jack or anyone... Not even Crowley. Perhaps, this is how you meet your fate...?

“Yuu! Yuu! Where are you!?”
Multiple shouts of worry and concerned echoed through the half ruined forest, trees down and the ground slightly cracked. Ace grunted as grim was rushing through the forest while deuce and some of the guys were trying to calm him down, but the feline was worried of his human Henchmen, his best friend. Someone that appreciated him more than anyone else. “Where Could yuu be?!” Deuce worriedly frowned, next to ace who's looking slightly nervous but trying to make himself look tough and unaffected, wanting to look like he wasn't sorry for ignoring yuu. The dorm leaders walked alongside the others, the vice dorm leaders next to their dorm leaders, looking for the Magicless human. “Yuu!? Yuu!?”
No answer... Just silence...
“Yuu!? Oh where could they be!?” Kalim frowned next to a Slight worried Jamil, the white haired boy worried for the Magicless human his first friend besides Jamil that they weren't seen before the incident that happened hours ago... “Maybe shrimpy is back at ramshackle...?” Floyd recommended, yet his words made everyone else doubted. “That's impossible Floyd, yuu wasn't seen there. Grim wouldn't be here with us looking for them.” Azul reminded, adjusting his glasses carefully. “So, where was the herbivore last seen then?” Leona questioned, his deep voice sounded irrated, yet everyone else could feel the slight worry that was laced upon his tone. “Look!” Epel Pointed someone in the distance, as everyone approached the person. It was Yuu! But... There was something off...
“Henchmen! Your ok!” Grim sobbed, clinging into the teen's leg while they're back faced everyone else. Everyone expected yuu to turn around and hug grim, but instead they stayed silent. Yuu was supposed to hug him back, so why wasn't he? Then yuu turned around, smiling softly down at grim, grabbed the feline and embraced him. The cat sobbing into "Yuu's" shoulders. Everyone sighed in relief, as Malleus and some of the others had noticed something off about yuu. “Child of man? Are you alright?” Yuu softly turned to the fae prince, nodding mannerly. “Why yes, I am. Thank you.” The Magicless teen replied softly to the horned fae, everyone's eyes landed on the teen's hands. They're fingers grew longer and it was slightly ink black to gradient (skin/color)
“Trickster? Is everything alright?” Rook smiled yet nervously and concerned for the human's wellbeing, but they just smiled again. “Oh, I'm fine... Just fine.”
Everyone else felt a shiver down their spine when they glanced at the ink black color that was plastered on their hands once again. As yuu spoke again with a relaxed smile. “I had... A change of heart...”
Tumblr media
Author's note: This is part 1, I don't know if I would do part 2 tho. I'm just deciding on which type of parasite that would use Yuu's body as it's own vessel, I'm looking for ideas and it was originally kenjaku but I also like Sukuna, but anyways. Thanks for reading this if you find it! Thanks for reading!

azul: greetings! i am your professor, azul ashengrotto! welcome to "freshmen 101 for aspiring upperclassmen" at night raven college! the only class that will you teach how to effectively handle those little brats— I MEAN loveable new faces you see around your dorm!
riddle: today, we will focus on how to properly communicate with your first-years. some of the things they say may be confusing and/or contradictory, so it's important to know how to translate their sentences into coherent language you understand.
vil: we have set up a variety of examples with our fellow co-professors and fellow seniors to guide you along this journey.
^
epel: vil, do you think i’d look better with a tattoo?
vil: translation: i am entering my rebellious phase and also want to ruin my delicate skin with a glorified paint job that i will most definitely regret in the future and will make me wish i had listened to my housewarden more. also, i have no hope of a happy future and will live out my days as a gangster on the streets.
epel: …what?
^
ortho: big brother, can you help me with a cosmetics alteration to my gear?
idia: big brother, i want to be the sparkliest, prettiest, most drop-dead gorgeous, most attractive, most charming, 5-star-reviewed, no notes, darling, glamorous, talented, brilliant, incredible, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, stunning, bewitching, adorbs, graceful, beguiling, smashing, knock-out, irresistible person in the classroom tomorrow.
ortho: yay~! 😀
^
deuce: sorry i was out past curfew, trey… i’m a little tired, so is it okay if i skip brushing my teeth tonight?
trey: translation: i have a secret boyfriend that i don’t want you to know about because he coerces me to engage in illegal underground boxing rings and convinces me that brushing my teeth is for losers. please get involved and maybe call the police and also never let me out of the dorm again until i’ve properly relearned the benefits of proper dental hygiene!
deuce: …huh?
^
sebek: silver, i think… i would like to make some friends with the people in our dorm. could you… mayhaps give me some advice?
silver: translation: i am a strikingly realistic imposter of your actual friend. i do not love nor care for you, and in fact, am very frightened by your presence, so i will gather allies from other places in an elaborate scheme to destroy you, the liege you’ve sworn your life to, your father, and your friend, whom i’ve already killed and whose body i have hidden in the basement. please end me.
sebek: pardon? what— what are you— why are you carrying around a camera— NO! NO NO NO NONONONO SILVER IF I’VE OFFENDED YOU I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE— SILVER PUT THE SWORD DOWN—
^
yuu: everyday, i’m scared that everything i’ve worked so hard to build in this world, all the friends i’ve made… all of it will just— slip through my fingers like sand… kalim? azul? what are your biggest fears?
kalim: translation: wow, things sure have been getting a little upsetti spaghetti around here! let’s throw a huge party in the mostro lounge with food and games and bright lights and elephants and and invite all of our friends to lighten up the atmosphere! the more, the merrier!
azul: translation: and while we’re at it, please don’t forget the mostro lounge’s limited time “part of your world” event, which offers authentic drinks, food, and even little trinkets from all around the world, for 20% off its original price!
yuu: guys pls
^
ace: hey, riddle? i, uh… i need help with smth.
riddle: translation: i have gotten into some very serious trouble and am about to lure you into a death trap that will get us both severely injured in all likelihood, and i am coming to you, specifically, about this, because i know you care deeply for me and couldn’t say no if you honestly thought my life was in danger, and i am going to exploit it for my own ends. what is it, ace?
ace: …ok, u lil bitch i see how it is
^
jack: hey, leona? ruggie? do you… do you love me?
leona:
ruggie:

ruggie: translation: give me food!
jack: …would it help if i said it first?
leona:
ruggie:

we just got a letter, wonder who it’s from
Warning: Yes, this is still a yandere thing. You have been warned. Gender-neutral reader.
Summary: (Continuation, after this and short series which started here) Upon realizing their mistakes and the result of their cruel acts and rash decisions, the main cast are heartbroken and devastated.
Note: Here it is, the reactions people have been asking for over a year already. Well, kinda. The is the post to set up the story to it, and as the previous parts, I’ll be splitting them.
Next part.
Tumblr media
Afterthought.
When the raging storm quelled, news got out quickly to clear your name. The information spread as fast as the declaration from a week ago claiming you were an imposter. Just as swiftly came the apologies.
Ramshackle became your safe haven. It was ironic that the resting place of your vessel became your sanctuary. As for your vessel, well, it was a bit unnerving to look at. It looked more like a realistic life-sized doll to you, like the type that should be contained in glass and admired in wacky museums. Not knowing what else to do with it, Grim had helped you move Yuu to a spare bedroom where the vessel would be kept under lock and key.
But, besides the vessel, you had more pressuring matters at hand. Throughout that whole ordeal, there were countless hunting you down and only few you might’ve considered an ally or a neutral party. So, those given permission to step foot in Ramshackle were far and few in between. Priority was given to Grim, of course. The loyal feline had helped you through it all and without him... well, you didn’t want to imagine what would’ve happened to you. Others allowed were the trio of ghosts who hadn’t assisted in the hunt for you. No matter how members of other dorms attempted to pry information such as where Grim might’ve gone when he first vanished, the ghosts never told a thing mostly because they didn’t know but also because they were not quick to assume a random person was some sort of imposter. Additionally, when time allowed, the staff came by to check on your condition as they realized this was a delicate situation and their students had traumatized you.
These were the only people you allowed yourself to interact with. For your own mental health, you avoided stepping outside. You never even opened the windows or balcony in fear of seeing the face of one of the characters you once adored but had tried to harm you. And it wasn’t just paranoia speaking. You knew they came by, as sometimes Grim looked out a window and sneered in disgust. However, it seemed that none of them had the confidence to knock on the door, or maybe they knew better than to expect a warm welcome after what they had done.
The letters came shortly after. Probably someone’s bright idea of penning a classy apologetic letter, which others copied and it soon became a trend. Some sent multiple messages, others sent gifts. With not much else to do in the dorm besides wait for your physical injuries to heal, you knew this would probably do you no good for your mental wounds, but you decided to read a few of them anyways. Not all of them, that would take all day. But, you’d let Grim claim whatever spoils he wanted from the heap of presents while you read one letter from each student you knew.

Non-Hazbin Hotel characters that are better than Alastor
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hate Alastor because he comes off as an edgelord and he has DIFFERENT SHADES OF RED TO THE POINT HE BLENDS IN THE BACKGROUND. Also again with Vivienne Medrano coddling her precious babies who are actually terrible people who do terrible things to people who didn't do anything wrong. It's genuinely annoying.
EDIT: 7/5/24
I have written what Alina and Yuu wished for.
EDIT: 7/7/24
The reason I put Shadow the Hedgehog on my list because people were calling him edgelord in the past, but this year, Alastor has surpassed him. Now everyone, the reward for being the ultimate edgelord goes to... "drum roll" "drum roll" "drum roll"
Alastor! Congratulations, you are now the ultimate edgelord in all of history!
EDIT: 7/9/24
I replaced Imposter from Among Us with Mortimer Handee because he uses Voodoo for evil purposes.

I wake up with impostor twst idea (belongs to @shiny-jr). I'm not sure if I have to tag you, 'cause it's just a babble(?) but here we go, I guess.
What if we combine it reincarnation manhwa trope? What if character suddenly open his eyes in theoretically past with knowledge of future. Some kind of second chance. Of course in the end it's going to be "a dream", because you know, fo angst purposes and it's too easy way out of everything they did.
He opens eyes after crying himself out last night. Nothing works, you're scared and had closed the path to your heart forever. It's fair and in the same time not. He understands that he has done something irreparable, but isn’t the awareness of his own guilt and the desire to atone for it enough? Deep down he knows that no, you will never forgive him. However, he was always stubborn, probably too much, but he was not going to give up. Not when the sight of you was so close, almost at arm's length.
Imagine his surprise when, on a seemingly ordinary morning, he receives news about Yuu’s shutdown. This can't be true. Or can? Were all the tears shed, all the panic and animal fear of losing you, rage for the imposter who dared to pretend to be you was in vain? Did these feelings never exist? Or is it a second chance, a chance to become worthy, to stand next to you.
If this is so, then he will cling to it with his nails, claws, everything he has - he will not allow it to slip away - and this time he will definitely achieve his happily ever after.
It’s ironic to watch the chaos slowly unfolding from “losing” you a second time. He understands the feelings and emotions of others, but at the same time he cannot contain the feeling of such a close victory. Advantage. After all, he should have been lucky at least once in his life.
He is looking forward to the next shock in the form of the appearance of an impostor. This time he will do everything to a t. No, he's not going to appear right away. He will allow doubts to creep into your soul, wait until your faith in others will shaken. Don’t think, he won’t let even a hair fall from your head, but a little fright won’t hurt, right? For dramatic reunion purposes.
He will allow others to distract Grimm and appear at the most crucial moment, casting a shield for both of you. Your eyes are full of surprise and suspicion, fair enough. He helps you get to your feet, ignoring the shocked gasps and distant cries of 'traitor'. You're most important thing right now and you are too exhausted and scared. He will accompany you to the dorm, help you calm down and hold your hand until you feel better. Along the way, he told how he didn’t believe the rumors and decided to see for himself.
Does this make him a liar? Probably, but does it matter? After all, you no longer look at him with eyes full of disgust and fear, you see in him someone more than a character in the game. A savior and a possible ally, a friend, eventually someone special, but he's not going to rush you.
The feeling of triumph is so close that waking up the next morning almost crushes it with its weight. Surely, he was too naive. Fate just decided to laugh at him, right? However, this imagined future, 'what if', gave him enough motivation to continue. Because now he saw, experienced, what he was striving for.

Oh my God… as soon as I read your post I had a thought… Probably unnecessarily cruel… What if the Children of Oda (46) and Ai (7) end up in Tayvat with the reader… This would make things more difficult for the poor reader. Because In addition to trying to survive, there is also the need to take care of children… And absolutely ordinary children without abilities. And the rest will panic greatly. Especially if the reader herself is a child or a teenager, although the plus is that the reader looks like just a young creator, if this seems too cruel and/or difficult, you can ignore or change my request, thank you very much for your attention, good luck!!!
If you were not alone
Part I
_____
Self-Aware! BSD AU x SAGAU Imposter crossover
Characters:
Self-Aware! Platonic! Aya Koda, Self-Aware! Platonic! Katsumi, Self-Aware! Platonic! Shinji, Self-Aware! Platonic! Kousuke, Self-Aware! Platonic! Sakura, Self-Aware! Platonic! Yuu
Reader: Teen! GN! Reader
Warning: English is my second language
👧🏻 🚸 At first, the situation didn't look too bad. Yes, all of you woke up in the wilderness, and you have no idea, how you get here, or how to return home, but, none of you were injured, and hilichurls looked surprisingly friendly and didn't try to attack you.
However, the emotions in the group weren't even slightly positive.
You were hugging crying Sakura and Shinji. The girl buried her face in your chest, and the boy was clinging to your side.
Katsumi, Kousuke and Yuu were trying to keep themselves together, trying to act as big boys. But you can see tears in their eyes. Soon, they joined the group hug.
Aya was silent. She was a little bit tougher, then Oda's kids. You will be tough, if your adopted father is Vampire Count Bram Stoker.
But she also was hugging you. Because now, she was a child. Not a Defender of Justice.
You were whispering reassuring words, promising, that all of you will be safe.
You want to believe that.
When you were more or less calmed down, your small group start moving to the nearest city.
Aya, Katsumi, Kousuke and Yuu were walking before you. You were holding Shinji's and Sakura's hands. You were making sure, that no one will get lost.
As the oldest in this group, you must take care of them.
👧🏻🚸 Mondstadt was strange. From the game, you got an impression, that Mondstadt were a friendly city. So why... Why everyone were glaring at you?
The answer came in a form of a statue. A statue made of gold. A statue of an adult version of you, made of gold.
The statue was terrifying. It wasn't too big. It wasn't scary. But sometimes felt wrong. Something in every little bit of the statue made you feel frozen with fear and disgust.
And, it seems, that your companions got the same feelings as you.
You felt glares on you. Mondstadt was quiet. Waiting for something.
 The silence were overwhelming.
Yuu's voice could be mistaken for screams in this silence.
"[Y/N], don't worry, this monster may look like you, but you will be looked much better, when you grew up."
And the first of many "Imposter! Dirty Sinner!" came.
🚸👧🏻 Your lungs were still burning. Sakura and Shinji were holding to you for dear life. All of you were chased away from Mondstadt. But, you were sure, that the people of Mondstadt weren't satisfied with simply chasing you away. No. The anger in their eyes. They wanted blood. Your blood.
It was a miracle, that you survived. And the miracle had a name.
Klee managed to hide you all away and get you to the Dragonspine. Right now, you, Oda's kids and Aya were resting in Albedo's lab.
While Klee tried to cheered kids even for a bit, you were talking with Albedo.
🚸👧🏻 The situation were terrible. You and kids are now wanted criminals, you can't trust anyone from Teyvat. Your only chance to get home - meet with Alice. The bad news is that she is forced to travel from nation to nation, not staying on one place for too long. There would be a big chance, that you would miss her.
And you must protect six kids.
You stayed with Albedo for a week. You discussed everything you need to know.
You decide to travel to Sumeru. If Albedo wasn't mistaken, Nahida would help you. Maybe, Irmensul have answers and knowledge on how to get you all home. At least, you could hide you, until Alice arrived.
Albedo gave you clothes, backpacks, supplies, blankets and much more. Everything you need during your journeys. It won't be enough for the whole journey. But, at least for the next few days, you won't worry about food and water.
And he showed you something. Something, that took all members of Hexenzirkel to use their powers to get and stay safe. Something, they stole from "Creator". What was left of a previous person, who looked slightly similar to "Creator".
"I don't want to scare you, [Y/N]. I just want you to see, what would happen, if one day they caught you. Or you decide to go to them on your own free will." Albedo looked sad. He can't go with you. He must protect Sucrose and Klee.
You nodded solemnly. You will try to stay safe.
To keep others safe.
🚸👧🏻 During your journey, you were careful. Refusing to go near people. During your journey, you start stealing. You can't let kids become hungry. You did everything a teen can do to keep children safe. While situation never called for that (you always manage to ran away) you knew, that you will fight for their lives.
When people from other nations came to Sumeru, trying to find you, you and kids were hiding.
But you were fond.
According to Lore, Capitano was a noble warrior
In Teyvat, only your hold was stopping him from striking Aya.
You were angry. You wanted to protest kids.
Your emotions reached their peak.
What left of First Creator's powers obeyed your silent wish.
The portal opened under your feet.
______
🐾 In Real World, BSD Cast were restless. Six kids and one kid disappeared without a trace! There is no way for them to stay calm.
Especially for two of them.
🦇 Bram Stoker lost two kids.
🍛Oda Sakunosuke lost six kids.
🍛🦇 Oda and Bram are looking everywhere. Criminal underworld lost huge number of criminals because of that. Ida and Bram going after any possible suspect.
🍛🦇 And when, after weeks of being missing, you seven finally returned, and this giant warrior were trying to kill you, their anger gets out of control.
_______
👧🏻🚸🍛🦇 For the next few weeks, seven of you won't be left alone. Oda and Bram will constantly stay close to you.
👧🏻🚸🍛🦇 No one would ever hurt you. You will never be scared, cold or hungry again. You won't need to steal to get food for Aya and Oda's kids. You don't need to fight for their lives.
👧🏻🚸🍛🦇 Journey to Teyvat was stressful. Thankfully, it was over.

CHAPTER FOUR: what now?
Tumblr media
Crowley’s voice boomed over the murmurs filling the room. “We had a bit of trouble along the way, but this brings the entrance ceremony to an end!” His usual flamboyance wavered, his smile forced and brittle, barely masking the shock still etched across his features.
The room stilled, the tension hanging in the air like smoke as students and leaders alike turned to face him. Confusion and disbelief painted their faces, but Crowley pressed on, his tone clipped and commanding. “Dormitory Heads, please escort the new students back to their dormitories,” he said, waving his hands dismissively as though brushing off the entire ordeal. “We’ll sort this… mess out later. For now, let’s not keep everyone waiting any longer than necessary!”
Yuu felt the weight of the collective gaze slide off her as the students shifted their attention, the pressure easing like a tide pulling away. She let out a shaky breath, the tightness in her chest loosening enough for her to finally inhale fully.
The dorm leaders exchanged glances—some annoyed, others resigned—but each stepped forward to guide their respective groups. Riddle straightened his posture, his crisp tone cutting through the din as he barked orders to the new Heartslabyul students. Leona, ever the picture of disinterest, gave a lazy flick of his tail, beckoning his group to follow without so much as a glance back.
Azul adjusted his glasses, offering a practiced smile as he directed the Octavinelle students with smooth precision, while Vil inspected his own cohort with an appraising eye before gesturing for them to follow. Kalim, as cheerful as ever despite the earlier chaos, waved exuberantly at the Scarabia students to keep up. Idia’s device floated awkwardly as he muttered under his breath, herding the Ignihyde students like a reluctant shadow.
Yuu’s eyes tracked each of them as they moved, her heart pounding in her ears. They were real. Each one was a living, breathing embodiment of the characters she’d admired for so long. But now, standing in their midst, she felt like an imposter in her own fantasy—a spectator trapped in the center of the stage.
The students began filing out, the cacophony of whispers dwindling as the crowd thinned. Grim, still tethered by Riddle’s magical collar, huffed indignantly but begrudgingly followed Yuu’s steps, grumbling under his breath.
Crowley remained at the front, his gaze sharp as it flitted between Yuu and the retreating groups. “Miss… Yuu, was it?” he called out, his voice cutting through the din like a knife. “Do not wander too far. We’ll be having words soon enough.”
She nodded mutely, her throat too tight to speak.
As the last of the students disappeared through the massive doors, Yuu felt the silence press in around her. The grandeur of the hall seemed impossibly large now, its reflective mirrors casting distorted versions of her anxious face back at her.
Grim tugged at the magical collar with another frustrated growl.
Crowley’s expression softened, his sharp golden eyes reflecting an uncharacteristic flicker of sympathy. “Yuu,” he said quietly, the usual flourish absent from his tone, “I’m terribly sorry about this. But you do not belong here. You must leave the school at once.”
Yuu simply inclined her head. She’d been ready for these words. She stood tall, no hint of trembling in her limbs or wavering in her eyes. This was exactly what she knew had to happen.
Crowley stepped aside, revealing the Dark Mirror Gate—an archway of swirling darkness that seemed to devour the light around it. “Enter the gate,” he instructed, speaking in measured, gentle tones. “Picture your home as clearly as you can.”
Yuu exhaled evenly, her pulse steady and resolute. Finally, she thought, stepping forward. She summoned every detail of her world—her desk strewn with papers, the hum of her computer, the scent of her blankets. This was the moment she’d prepared for, the one she’d practically memorized.
Still wearing a calm, knowing smile, she advanced toward the yawning blackness. It might have looked odd to anyone expecting tears or pleading, but Yuu’s composure never wavered.
“Oh, Dark Mirror,” Crowley intoned, his voice echoing through the empty hall, “guide this one back to the place they belong!”
Yuu closed her eyes, conjuring images of home, waiting for the telltale pull—the shift that should have drawn her away. It never came. Her breath remained steady. She knew what was coming next.
Crowley glanced at her, and for a heartbeat, uncertainty flickered behind his stern gaze. He repeated the chant, his voice tighter now. “Oh, Dark Mirror! Guide this one back to the place they belong!”
Silence. The Gate’s swirling depths stayed utterly still, rejecting her without so much as a ripple. Yuu opened her eyes, exhaling softly.
Crowley’s jaw clenched, his third invocation ringing with mounting desperation: “Oh, Dark Mirror! Guide this one back to the place they belong!”
At last, the mirror answered with a cold whisper that rustled through the air: “It is nowhere.”
Yuu’s lips pressed into a faint line. She felt not fear, but confirmation—this world was refusing to release her. She glanced at Crowley, whose composure cracked for an instant, revealing surprise he couldn’t entirely conceal.
It is nowhere.
Crowley’s gasp echoed through the empty hall, his eyes widening to near-comical proportions. “What did you say?” He stumbled back a step, one hand flying to his chest in a gesture that would have been theatrical under any other circumstances. “That is utterly unbelievable!” His exclamation seemed to reverberate in the stillness, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
Yuu felt a pang of sympathy as she watched him grapple with the realization that challenged the very foundations of his world. This flamboyant headmaster, a figure she’d admired from behind a screen, now stood before her, utterly confounded. “Hmm,” Crowley murmured, his gaze distant as he stroked his chin. “Well, if this is a day for the unbelievable, we might as well make it a grand parade.”
His golden eyes shifted to her, cutting through the lingering haze in the chamber. “Tell me, Miss Yuu,” he said, his voice softening, “where, exactly, did you come from?”
The question hung in the air like a challenge, and she met it with a steady calm. “____,” she murmured, her voice low enough to barely stir the air. The simple reply stood in stark contrast to the surreal nature of her presence in this world.
Crowley frowned, turning the word over in his mind. “____,” he echoed, pronouncing it like a strange incantation. “I’ve never heard of such a place. Clearly, we have much to learn about each other.” He reached out and took her arm, his grip firm but not harsh. “Come,” he said decisively, “we shall retire to the library. Perhaps, in its tomes, we can find some answers to this… conundrum.”

im p tired bc it's past midnight but i had an idea. Honestly just gonna type out my entire thought process so it makes somewhat more sense
So I remembered the 1960 something singing robot & that people have said it was creepy, tbh i think it's partially bc it's Just Off Enough from human speech & in Just The Right pitch to just seem inexplicably odd. Dare I say almost an uncanny effect.
The uncanny valley is my favorite phenomenon in which humans just get Inexplicably Creeped Out by things that're Almost human but Just Wrong Enough that it's obvious there's something wrong. Probably developed as a way to keep humans away from sick or dead things so We don't get sick too.
currently the most common uncanny valley phenomenon is robots & androids.
which reminded me of Ortho. The pretty-close-to-human android. Now I don't know which is scarier; Idia being so insanely good at making androids & robots that Ortho just. doesn't. uncanny valley. despite not having many visibly robotic parts. Or if in-universe everyone's just mildly creeped out by him due to Uncanny.
But , i wonder if Twst even HAS uncanny valley. I mean, there's several Almost Human specieses. Faes, Mers, Beastmen, etc etc. And cursed humans like Idia. So would twst have even developed the uncanny valley effect to the degree we do? I mean, if it was developed to keep us away from Sick Things it definitely still developed, but maybe less so. the oddities are Not Sickness.
Or what if it DID develop the same for various reasons, including an ancient reason TO fear the Almost Humans? Faes in most mythology are dangerous tricksters, Mers & Sirens kill, Beastmen are Visibly not human too, Cursed People could possibly get us targeted, etc.
Maybe being consistently surrounded by the Almost Humans makes it lessen a ton, so 2nd+ years at universities like NRC or just societies where the species interact a lot in general just. dont get creeped out anymore.
Or maybe only Yuu/the MC gets Uncanny Valley'd bc Not From Here. The fear of the Unknown, which the Almost Humans most certainly are, AND the uncanny valley effect is.. not fun to deal with.
Faes are Too Perfect, too elegant, too beautiful, too Flawless. there's something wrong.
Beastmen are just human enough that their animal features are wrong. There's something Not Human in their appearance and Instinctive actions and yet they look so close to humans and act so human. It's not right.
Potions aren't always perfect. The octa trio still act like mers yet they look perfectly human, or maybe they still have slight imperfections; the Tweels have way too sharp teeth, after all. Are they safe?
Idia's... wrong. He's off. He looks Visibly Wrong and he's been around death and Blot for so long that his behavior is subtly wrong too. You're not making it up, right?
and what the hell is Ortho? He's not human but he's none of the Almost Humans either. He acts too human but he still reverts back to code. he doesn't make sense.
And yet even with this instinctive distrust and fear of the others, Yuu still goes out of their way to save them, to help them, to Know them. Yet the feeling of wrongness never goes away.
And maybe it goes both ways. Yuu is not right, they're just off enough from even the normal humans of NRC that everyone can tell they aren't from here at all. An imposter, a false thing, wrong.
of course, twst wouldn't go into uncanny valley territory in canon bc Disney and Its Not Horror; sure plenty of characters have dark or sad back stories but its fun and humorous. But damn the uncanny valley is fun to think about

Oh my god Crewel will go absolutely nuclear on Crowley when he finds out the truth, right? Like not only did he tamper with baby Yuu to remove her magic (sidenote-????? why?), he then lied about this for years and let an imposter masquerade as their child for YEARS instead of coming out with the truth, like a coward. If I were Crewel no God could save that man. He would have to be tended to by place doctors for the rest of his life.
The country Crowley and Crewel rule over is basically the place where the cream of the crop is born and fostered. Everyone with a notable name has strong ties to their capital city. Mages easily find renown in the city because only the best of the best stand out.
Crowley thinks if Yuu could actually do magic, she'd just coast through life. So in an effort to force her to gain skills that would truly be impressive he nulled her ability to do magic.
It's a dumb as shit plan that ended up technically working since Yuu spent the past 10 years becoming a jack of all trades in all avenues at her disposal.
But when Crowley DOES come clean, Crewel just...looks at him...
Then grabs an axe off the wall.

Honestly I want a replaced twisted wonderland au but with a twist like, mc/yuu gets replaced by everyone in NRC and grim is the only loyal one to yuu/mc but then an incident happened in NRC and the mc went missing and particularly 'died' during the incident. And then Some evil and powerful parasite demon took over Yuu's body and use it as it's own like it's a vessel (kinda like kenjaku using geto's body or Sukuna with Yuji) but when everyone found "yuu" again, they were acting strange. They were too intelligent, too sly, too durable and not human-like... And mostly, everyone started to feel like that's definitely "not yuu."

Divulgence - Twisted Wonderland
Broken: Have you ever read @shiny-jr's 'I Didn't Ask To Get Isekaied' AU? If you haven't, you really need to. I shall not spoil it for those who have not read it but I will say this: This takes place after it's revealed who the 'Imposter' really was, but before the letters come into place. A Revelation, if you will. Now, let the words weave together & @shiny-jr, I hope you are reading and enjoying this as I have enjoyed your work!
It had been 3 Days since that Imposter escaped the grasp of the Dorm Wardens and their Dorm Members; except for Kalim of Scarabia & Rook of Pomefiore, everyone wanted nothing more than to find out where that Imposter was and deliver their head on a silver platter to Yuu once they became functional again; showing the Player through their puppet's eyes that they were worthy of the Player's Love and Grace, worthy to be called upon whenever the Player needed them. The Dorm Wardens would go around the school to look for the Imposter and that tratious backstabbing chimera, Grim; how dare he betray Yuu, betray their PLAYER, for this impersonator?! They were going to reap a powerful & horrible justice on Grim once they got their hands on him, and then...they would take his place at Yuu's Side and in the player's heart.
Or...at least...that was the plan.
On the 3rd day of not being able to find the imposter, a mass text went out to the Dorm Wardens to hold an emergency meeting in regards to Yuu, The Player, and The Imposter; what shocked everyone was that the sender was no other than Malleus Draconia - The Dorm Warden of Diasonia. He never really mingled with the other wardens, but - as much as they hated to admit it - he was the closest one to the Player's Puppet, Yuu; seconded only to the Chimera, Grim.
As the Dorm Wardens arrived at the main campus, they noticed something - the skies were covered in dark clouds as the thunder rumbled within them and flashes of emerald lightning struck the ground in multiple areas - this kind of weather was influenced by the Negative Emotions of Malleus, he was upset with something and it had to do with their Player; having an upset Malleus over this situation was not good. The Dorm Wardens all arrived outside of the door, Riddle was about to open the door when a familiar voice hit Leona's keen lion ears: He heard Malleus talking...to Grim!
Leona burst through the door and all the Dorm Wardens were shocked and angered to see the blue-furred, flamed-earred chimera standing on Malleus' Shoulder as he had done for the Player's Puppet for so long, and Malleus wasn't attacking him, just stood there looking sad.
"What are you doing, Stupid Lizard?! Where is your loyalty to the Player?!" Leona roared as he pointed at Grim, "That rat betrayed Yuu and our Player for that freaking Imposter, and you are letting him ride on your shoulder?!"
"Kingscholar..." Malleus started in a low voice, "There is so much you do not understand. Take a seat, so we might get started." Malleus said but Leona was not listening.
"Don't tell me what to do, Lizard!" Leona turned his glare to Grim, "Where is that Imposter, Traitours Rat?! Where are you hiding them?!"
"Oh, just shut up, Kingscholar. You don't even know why we called you here - there is so much more to this story than any of you understand, so just shut up and sit down so we can talk." Grim said. Leona growled at Grim but the Sunshine of Scarabia, Kalim, tried to calm him down.
"Leona, there must be more to what we know - we should listen to Grim and..." Leona turned his glare to Kalim.
"You don't get to talk! That Snake told us about how you were all buddy-buddy with that Imposter in Scarabia! You're just as much a traitor as them!" Leona yelled while pointing at Grim and Malleus.
"That's enough!" Grim started before inhaling and exhaling, "No one has betrayed anymore and there is no imposter - you all got the wrong idea." Grim started before jumping off Malleus' Shoulder and landing on the table, "Have a seat and I will explain everything."
The Dorm Wardens looked at Kalim as he was the first, they looked at each other before nodding and taking their seats; they were going to get rid of Grim and find the Imposter on their own. Malleus refused to sit and kept looking out of the window as his storm raged on.
"I'm gonna start this off with this: I would never betray Yuu. I would never betray the Player. I knew something was off about Yuu, that's how I found out about the player." Grim said.
"What are you talking about?" Vil asked.
"I knew something was off about my henchmen when I saw them sleeping: they didn't move, breathe, or even snore; it was as if they were nothing but a hollow shell. One night, I went to speak to the Dark Mirror and learned the Truth - Yuu was merely a puppet, controlled by a being of higher power - The Player." Grim said.
"We are aware, Grim. What does that have to do with anything?" Azul asked while adjusting his glasses, attempting to keep his composure.
"We all know 'Yuu' is a puppet & the Player is the puppetmaster, but do you know what happens when the puppetmaster is no longer there to pull the strings of the puppet?" Grim asks.
"The Puppet falls and lays there." Idia said from his tablet.
"Yes. That's what happened: The Puppet stopped working because the Puppetmaster wasn't in their place to control it. The puppetmaster is not in their world to control their puppet, because the master and the puppet are now in the same place." Grim said, causing everyone's eyes to widen.
"What do you mean 'The Master and the Puppet are in the same place'? Are you telling us that our Player is here in Wonderland?" Riddle asked; everyone looked at Grim hopeful.
"You would have known if you listened before attacking. You've been trying to kill our player since the moment they arrived on campus." Grim said.
Everyone's eyes got wider...with fear this time.
"What did you say?" Vil's voice shivered with fear for Grim's Next Words.
"You heard me, Pretty Boy: That 'Imposter' you all have been chasing and trying to kill for the past 3 days is really the Player themselves; they have arrived in Wonderland, and that's why their puppet stopped working a week ago." Grim said. There was a moment of silence before Leona stood up and grabbed Grim by his collar, yanking him in the air.
"YOU'RE LYING! YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO PROTECT THAT IMPOSTER AND..." Grim cut Leona off.
"I fail to see why I should protect someone who prevented my henchman from working and took my player away, Kingscholar. The Puppet stopped working because the Player arrived in Wonderland, in the town down the road a week ago. They came with the Ghost Camera because it's rightfully theirs. The puppet was only using it by their will. It's natural for them to have it in their possession when coming to Wonderland. When they arrived at Night Raven, they came to find us, but the Adeuce Idiots saw the camera and thought they were an imposter, without listening to them. As a result, everyone tried to kill them." Grim yelled in Leona's face before looking at Malleus, "Stupid Hornton was going to snap their neck, but I stopped him in time."
"You...YOU TRIED TO KILL MY PLAYER, YOU STUPID LIZARD?!" Leona yelled.
"I DIDN'T KNOW!" Malleus yelled, "NONE OF US, BUT GRIM, KNEW THAT WAS THE PLAYER; EVEN KALIM DIDN'T KNOW AND HE STILL TREATED THEM WITH KINDNESS! WE ARE ALL TO BLAME!"
The Wardens looked at the table as the realization sunk in: the imposter they hated was really the player they loved more than anything...
...And they tried to kill them.
Oh, Sevens, how were they going to fix this.
[END]
Broken: And done. What did you think, @shiny-jr?

Hello, Yuri! Now that I’m personally out of finals hell, I’ve got something to ponder over. I want to double back to the idea of Yuu having their own variants of the twst boys.
“As for Yuu avoiding them... I could see that. It would feel weird seeing someone you love so much only for it not to be them at all.” This. This right here is where it’s at. The torture of a stranger wearing your beloved’s face. The guilt of having to look this person in the eye knowing that your boy is probably worried sick waiting for you to come home. To always have a part of you expecting that fond gaze whenever your eyes meet, only to be disappointed by the realization that it isn’t him. Maybe even to have a nickname always on the tip of your tongue, waiting for one slip up to come out.
How long would it take for Yuu to crumble and (against their better judgement) seek out comfort in the arms of that imposter? An imitation of the comfort Yuu found in their boy. And this isn’t even considering the fun that could be had with the twst boy finding out that a version of him exists in Yuu’s world.
-🦐
context
AHHHHHHHH
That genuinely depends on the Yuu I should think, it also raises the question of whether or not Twisted Wonderland has a version of Yuu or if they're unique to their world. I could see Yuu trying desperately to figure out where the other Yuu is, maybe because they want to pass the buck on all the overblots or because they think it's unfair that this stranger with their friend's face is showing interest in them that's meant for the other version of themselves. Or maybe Yuu got the proper isekai treatment and truck-kun really did kill them, so this imitation is the closest they'll get to being with their guy again.
I've been thinking about Yuu's World! Vil a lot recently with the jp Chapter 7 updates. Vil says he's more relaxed when he's alone with his friends, that he's much more touchy and we know how supportive he can be of other people wanting to be their best selves. I picture him being overworked but still somehow smiling, the closest Yuu gets to seeing that same smile is after he overblots and still performs for the VDC, but they can't say they're happy to see it. They want their Vil back, their Vil whose look they tried to mimic when getting ready that morning pretending that he was the one who did it. That they still remember what it was like to be touched by him, loved by him, seen as human by him and not whatever this Vil sees them as. This Vil was very caught up in focusing on the VDC, so much so he ignored almost everything around him but he noticed how... in tune, with his inner thoughts and self Yuu seemed to be. It was like they knew him, not the super model, or the actor, but that inner truth he's so afraid of in himself. He wants to hear them say he's beautiful more than anything in the world, he feels like they would truly mean it so he's beyond frustrated that something is holding them back. Before the VDC he just assumes he isn't beautiful enough. After words he just assumes it's because he doesn't know them that well, who knows how he would handle the truth.
I like the idea of Halloween, or maybe something like an eclipse or a solstice making the veil between worlds thinner, and allowing someone from Yuu's world to briefly visit Twisted Wonderland in the form of a sort of ghost. Given how selfish the guys are I don't think they'd take kindly to someone trying to take Yuu away from them, even if it's a different version of themselves. For some (azul) I think that might actually make it worse...

Among AU: Game Over
[Inside The Game - Reactor]
Jayden (On the Simon Says Game): Damn it... This is so confusing.
Azul: Jayden.
Jayden (Turns to see Azul and Vil): Yeah?
Vil: Who was it? You or Jamil?
Jayden: Wait, hold on! It wasn't us! We weren't near him!
Azul: Don't lie to me! I know one of you killed Pearl.
Jayden: It wasn't us! *Smirks* Right, Jamil?
[Just then, Jamil jumped out of the vent and killed Azul, and Jayden killed Vil before he could report the body.]
[A While Later]
[The Lights were sabotaged and Darius went to fix them, but he was killed by Jayden. Yuu went to go find Darius and was killed by Jamil. Leaving Malleus as the only crewmate left.]
GAME OVER: IMPOSTERS WIN
[In The Lobby]
Jayden (Laughing): Oh, man! You should have seen your faces from that Double Kill.
Marcus (Folds his arms): Why did you kill me first?
Jayden: Because I knew Azul was gonna try to come for me and Jamil if I did.
Marcus: Crafty Serpent.
Jayden: Why, thank you.
Azul: I can't be that predictable.
Malleus: We all are. If Child of Man had died first, I would've come for either one of you.
Vil: In the game, correct?
Malleus, smiles:
Jamil: In the game, right?

Hello! Can I request Astray with Ace in the imposter au? It was technically him who first labeled us as a fake, after all.
– Warning: Yes, this is a yandere thing. Gender-neutral reader.
– Prompt: Astray. “You… You know I love you! Of course I never meant for this to happen!”
– Character: Ace Trappola.
– Note: Might include part of this later for the reactions in the imposter au.
Tumblr media
One mistake, all it took was one mistake from him, something he acted upon on impulse and assumption before it quickly unfolded to pure chaos. It was the lack of the player’s grace that must’ve been steadily driving him insane, making him rash and reckless because he just couldn’t keep sane when he didn’t know if and when he would ever feel their presence again through the vessel again.
When he heard of everything you had been through, all because of his mistake, all he could do was stare at you with tears silently forming in his eyes. He knew it was on him. Had anyone else saw you first, as long as you had the camera that Yuu always held in their possession, they would automatically come to the conclusion that you had done something to them, you were the bad guy. But this time, he was the boy who cried wolf, when it was not a wolf.
When you had announced that you were leaving campus, everyone begged for a second chance, questioning where you would even go. You honestly didn’t know where you’d go. Whether you could somehow return home or not, at the moment you didn’t care where you went. All you wanted to do was get away from here, and the only one you’d take was Grim.
In the midst of it all was Ace, one of your first human friends from this world. That expression on his face was indescribable, it was a mix of shock and by his tears, sorrow. When he reached out for your sleeve, that’s when the words came pouring out, “I…I never meant for all this to happen, you gotta believe me! Seriously, I’ve been there since day one, I’ve loved you longer than anyone here! I screwed up bigtime, but let me make it up to you! Please!! You have to let me make it up…!”

TWSTOBER DAY 11 PART 2
The rest of the trek went by in a flash. With Yuu pointing out different plants and fungi, and Jade explaining each of them with a trained knowledge. From Oyster mushrooms and Chicory, to puffballs and ramp weeds. Yuu even cut a few shrooms to take home for themselves.
“I must say, this is quite the collection we’ve amassed. This will make for a rather fine meal.” Jade said, holding the jar of mushrooms and plants the two had collected. Yuu gave a nod, their hand linked with Jade’s own as they continued to walk up the trail. “If it's you cooking, it’s going to taste amazing!” the two let out a chuckle before Yuu let out a gasp. The trees had thined out, revealing a clearing overlooking a large field. The sun was on setting over the horizon, casting rays of yellow and red across the sky. Yuu slowly walked into the clearing, their mouth agape. “Woah…”
“The end of the path is always the most beautiful.” Jade looked from the sunset toward Yuu, a smile on his lips. “I am glad I could show this to you.” Yuu looked up at Jade, their eyes meeting his mismatched ones as they smiled.
“Yeah..I’m glad you took me along, Jade. Maybe…we can do this more often.”
“Nothing would make me happier.” Jade gave their hand a gentle squeeze. “Now lets get this meal started. I know a trail like that always works up my appetite.” Yuu nodded, the two sitting on the ground and setting up a small fire. With a foldable pot and water from Jade's canteen, the two had a nice soup going, the rich woodsy aromas causing both to water at the mouths. As Jade was stirring the pot, Yuu pulled out a few mushroom they collected themselves. True Morels, Jade had called them. He had pointed out a cluster of them, telling Yuu about their veiny caps and their smoky taste. They couldn't be eaten raw, but given they were making a stew, it could be an interesting flavor combo.
“How about we add some Morels? You said they're smoky, right?” Jade looked down at the mushrooms in Yuu's hands before letting out a soft chuckle, a sharp toothed grin on his lips.
“If I was anyone else, then yes. I would say we add them.”Jade rested the spoon on the pot before kneeling in front of Yuu, taking the mushroom from Yuu's hands. “And then we'd both meet a early end.” Yuu's eyes went wide, their mouth agape.
“But I thought you said Morels were edible.”
“That I did. True Morels are edibles. But this…”He takes out his hunting knife once more, splitting the mushroom in half. “Is an imposter. A false morel.” Yuu looked at Jade, their eyes brimming with curiosity as Jade showed them the mushroom halves. “True Morels are hollow inside. False ones are solid, just like this.” He hands the cut shroom back to Yuu. “Although there have been cases of people eating these mushrooms and surviving, most are not as lucky.” Yuu looked from Jade down to the mushroom in their hands, mumbling a soft “sorry” under their breath. Jade moves a hand to their chin, tilting it upwards so he could meet their eyes. “It is alright. I appreciate you trying to learn. In fact, I'm flattered you remembered my lessons.” His smile softened a bit, his fingers gently rubbing against Yuu’s cheek.
“I quite enjoyed sharing today with you, and I intend to do so more often.” Yuu’s cheeks flushed a deep red with each and every word, only able to quietly nod in response. “Come now, let's enjoy the fruits and fungi of our labor."
