Hi I'm that person who made the original post about "no doesn mean no" when a small bit of the mr beast company document was leaked, well, now we have the full document (thanks rosanna) so I'm going to go over it. Please note I am not a lawyer or a business man, I'm in college for psychology, so I might misunderstand some things or make the wrong conclusion. However, if this is a document made for the average mr. beast employee, if I cannot understand it properly, then im sure some employees also struggled

First of all, the opening paragraph. Like I get it's supposed to be like, to put people at ease, but

This is so strange? Like, first of all, this is your EMPLOYEE MANUAL, you should have run it through like, a spell check? Or had someone edit it? This is already incredibly unprofessional. Also the promising of a thousand dollars if you pass a quiz on it? It's bizarre and I'd love to see if it's an actual quiz.

Jimmy, hun, please god get an editor for this you're already trying my patience.

YOU SHOULD, you genuinely should, while interconnected these are all COMPLETELY different jobs, if you think you could write a separate manual for each branch you SHOULD

I'm sure I'm about to get an answer but what the fuck is the best YOUTUBE video then? If it's not comedy, its not production, its not quality, its not look, then what the hell is left? (monetization, it's monetization)

First of all, Jimmy, why are you using internet lingo in this, it's not a text message, this is not a place for, idc, and lol, and not capitalizing your headers correctly??? Also like I said, he's chasing trends for monetization, and also he's just wrong, there are plenty of hollywood level shows and the like on youtube. You fully admit you do not care about trends and actively rush things?

This is just fucked??? Like of COURSE IT MATTERS??? Results based company is bullshit, your employees that worked for five weeks and failed aren't "lesser" then James, it's a structural failure! They still worked for HOURS to try and succeed?? That shows merit and loyalty??? What the fuck???

Rosanna covers this one in her video but it's worth restating that this is FUCKED??? It's clear overwork "your job is your family" culture. Especially the use of the word obsessive? If you do not OBSESS over your work, you are considered poisonous. NO WONDER we have so many reports of employees doing things they feel is dangerous or unsafe, if they don't they're considered POISON to the company.

The formatting in this doc continues to fucking kill me, what are you DOING man GET AN EDITOR

This feels like such an easy fix of just...make the thumbnail after the fact? Or only make a rough draft of one first? Like if production makes a red bouncy castle instead of a yellow one, that feels like an easy fix to the thumbnail OR a communication error, and again, that's on management

A lot of the next stuff is like analytics stuff that for the most part I can't really speak on as someone who does not do any of this stuff. There are a few things though

Which like???? what??? a lull??? what do you mean "watching a video without even realizing they are watching a video??" That doesn't scream good or even mediocre content to me. If I'm actively tuning out as I watch a video, that's bad. Especially because there have been plenty of times I've been like half way through a video i go "hey this sucks actually" and click off. They actively want their audience to not be paying attention to the video so it runs all the way through, that's kinda pathetic.

I don't actually know if this is common or not in this industry, but as an outsider this seems INCREDIBLY micromanaging to me, to an immense degree.

Jimmy why are you putting swears in your employee manual?? sir??? and also something about this whole thing icks me out, I don't quite have the words but the whole emphasis on "im different im special no one else can be me" just reeks of something kind of manipulative

Why is production changing so much Jimmy??? Infinite growth is the mindset of a cancer cell Jimmy! This is incredibly unstable working conditions! Also again with the word obsession, if you take time out of your own day on your own time to watch hulu, that's seen as not being obsessed enough for the company. This is nonsensical!

Again, this is INSANELY micromanaging, and also so fucking unhinged??? "God himself couldn't stop you from making this video on time" is NOT a healthy work mindset, things HAPPEN!!!

In this segment he's actually talking normal things but I did just want to highlight his use of "freaken" who the hell puts that in an EMPLOYEE MANUEL

Again with the micromanaging, and the immense pressure on employees for problems OTHER people do. While he's not fully wrong that you should be in more contact with the contractor then the example, this is too much in the other direction. How much time in the day does he think people have?!

My kingdom for a fucking paragraph break dude, my fucking eyes. Also this is a lot of "im so great and do everything and you should do more for me and if i dont know something that's your fault" for something titled "I am not always right"

I'm getting lazy with my highlighting, but again, the micromanaging? If you're SOOO busy, the first question should be the ideal? it's quick and makes a quick decision, while the second one meanders and meanders

Again, Jimmy is pushing blame for HIS mistakes on OTHER PEOPLE. For again, a section called "i am not always right" hes taking NO accountability for that and just making the SAME excuses he's berating in other places.

Again the language towards "C-Players" which as mr beast has said, are the people who y'know, are NORMAL employees who DON'T live and breathe this company

Okay first of all, a Lamborghini is like 300k so that's already A REALLY hard task, and i sure hope don't usually put typos in the tasks. SECOND of all the fact he thinks its okay to go "hey if the studio is literally on fire around you and you stop working to get the Lamborghini, you're not doing good enough" even if he claims it as a joke is NOT OKAY what the FUCK

We've covered this before, but to reiterate this segment is named after a sexual assault reference when it could have been named ANYTHING ELSE and harasses employees and pressures them to break rules, don't do that.

I'm not an editor, so maybe this is normal, but as someone from the outside it seems strange to put this much emphasis on dividing focus between so many videos at once.

Jimmy, hun, are you paying extra for this? Because if I'm an editor and you want me FILMING stuff then i want to be paid more for doing TWO jobs and I probably still wont be as skilled a TRAINED CAMERA MAN

If a problem appears, always always always ask yourself if your new plan is whats best for creative, not just the easiest bandaid."

First of all it's really funny seeing all the red lines pop up, second of all this insistent blurring of everyone's job seems so strange? Again maybe this is normal, but it really feels like Jimmy wants everyone working every job, instead on focusing on what they are actually hired to do.

Our audience is massive and because of that you have to be simple, for 50 million people to understand something it must be simple. Content can be anything but there is structure and rules that we must mold it into that I want to teach you about, because virality doesn’t just happen. Every frame of our videos will be seen by 10s of millions of people"

Mr Beast is completely aware of his demographic and puts screen shots of it, he is very aware his stuff is aimed at kids, even when its about gambling or hiring people not around near minors

More favoritism

to love is something you cannot name.

that’s a saying that stitched itself onto your brain because it just makes sense. loving someone has way too much depth, depending on the person who is the one lending out their heart and who they are giving it out to in the first place. it could be named as anything, depicted as anything, or interpreted as anything.

especially for you, who had witnessed, watched, read, and consumed all sorts of media that named love as numerous things. sometimes love is tragic, making two people feel so much just for them to get pulled away from each other when they were so close to running into each other’s arms. sometimes love is mirthful, having two people become the best versions of themselves around the person they love because they feel safe becoming vulnerable with the other. yet sometimes love is bittersweet, accepting the art of letting go as it was for the best—accepting that things weren’t just meant to be but not forgetting the emotions the person made you feel.

well, how were you supposed to know what love really is? a hopeless romantic is hopeless for a reason.

having a day off is quite rare, even for the employees of the operations department. the work was quite demanding, as any job involving the JAKDF was. but you still made time to relax and enjoy your rest from time to time, whether that was rewatching a good old romcom film from the 2000s or reading a new romance novel you decided to pick up.

it was normal for a hopeless romantic to dream. to fantasize. that maybe they could experience an extraordinary love like it is portrayed in films or described in songs. so naturally, as a hopeless romantic yourself, you weren’t any different. you just wanted to experience love—to be loved.

then again, liking someone does count as experiencing romance in a sense. admiring someone with traits the public doesn’t really notice is… rare. but that’s how it always went with you. though you wouldn’t really say that you actually acted upon your feelings, they're usually be gone once that person has stepped out of the current environment you’re in.

that’s how it was before.

vice captain hoshina was a respectable man. he is talented, and he sure as hell knows it. as the ton put it, you and the vice captain had a strange relationship—nobody really knows what to call you two. as the secondary leader of operations and okonogi’s assistant, it was only natural to be in the presence of the vice captain most of the time. but there’s just something different when it comes to how you two treated each other.

from flirtatious remarks and confusing gestures that you aren’t sure if you’re supposed to interpret as romantic, just what were you to the vice captain? you’ve observed long enough that he only does this to you. though you don’t really hate it. in fact, you like it that he’s only like that to you—but you weren’t supposed to like him, you swear! but honestly speaking, how could you not? you had plenty of reasons to like the vice captain in that way. you just pray that no one has really noticed it.

however, okonogi wasn’t stupid. she gets praised for her analytical skills for a reason and you wish she didn’t have to use those skills when it came to your romantic interest in the vice captain of all things. she promised to keep it a secret, though, and keeping secrets is a thing okonogi was really good at (to your surprise).

the first time hoshina denied his feelings for you was when he overheard some rookies talking about you.

“(l/n) is such a blessing to the third division, don’t you think?” one said as the other hummed in agreement. “i know, right? they’re so nice! did you know that they helped me once? they gave me tips on what i should do to enhance my combat power for my fighting style; it was really helpful too!” the rookie beamed. hoshina had an unsettling feeling churning inside of him as he eavesdropped on the conversation. but he quickly shook it off, thinking that he probably ate something funny earlier.

but why hasn’t he received such treatment from you? you were closer to him than some rookies, right?

right?

wait, what the hell is wrong with me? hoshina thinks, snapping out of his earlier thoughts. he was not jealous of some rookies. those were just rookies, for christ’s sake! hoshina walks away, only to be greeted by the sight of you and ikaruga talking this time.

“thanks again for the film recommendation the other day, (l/n). i didn’t expect to enjoy it so much—you were completely right! it did suit my preferences,” he excitedly says. hoshina watches silently, observing everything in detail. and one thing he notices is that ikaruga is standing close to you—way too close than he preferred.

“really? i’m glad you liked them, ikaruga. feel free to ask for more film recs when you’re free.” you laughed at his enthusiasm. ikaruga had always been a fun person to converse with, in your opinion. and you two bonded over films! but it was really nothing more than that. “will definitely do!” he replies, giving you a two finger wave as he excuses himself.

he was definitely not jealous. why would he be jealous in the first place? you two were just friends.

and friends don’t get jealous like this.

the second time was when he was undergoing recovery after the whole fiasco of the tachikawa base raid. everyone was exhausted. it was fortunate that the third division didn’t get any casualties during the incident; the majority of the troops were only injured for the most part. soshiro was counted among the severely injured troops but he doesn’t regret it one bit.

or so he thought.

soshiro wakes up slowly, blinking and squirting his eyes at the sudden brightness of the light above him. he felt a weight on the side of his bed when he tried to get up, as if something (or someone) was pressing down on the blanket. looking down, he wouldn’t mistake your hair for anyone else. he knew it was you with just a glance.

and there you were, sleeping softly on the side of hoshina soshiro’s bed. soshiro takes note of your appearance that he could see right now—which was really just your messy hair. he gets up, making sure that you don’t wake up. it is likely that the operation has not had much sleep up to this point, which is why you ended up sleeping in his hospital room of all places.

he feels bad. a hand slowly reaches out to your head, stroking it ever so gently. if he were to be honest, he was worried for he operations team during the attack. he recalls regularly checking in to see if things were okay on your end, and you kept reassuring him that everyone was unscathed. his other hand reaches out to his phone on his bedside, checking to see if he missed anything. he was unconscious until now, he thinks. and the text from okonogi just confirmed all of his suspicions.

you’re probably still unconscious by the time i sent this, but they’ve been there every day since you got admitted.

that’s all the message contained. soshiro glances at you again, a soft smile tugging on his lips. he doesn’t get why okonogi felt the need to send him that text, but the thought of you waiting for him to be conscious again made him feel… warm inside. but it all went away as he pulled back his hand from your head as you stirred awake. you raised your head, adjusting yourself to be in a more comfortable position as you rubbed your eyes with your knuckles.

shock was an understatement when you realized that he was finally awake.

“vice captain! i—sorry, i didn’t mean to sleep on your bed. wait, are you okay? does anything hurt?” he just stared at your eyes, trying to process something. shock was still present in your eyes, and relief was mixed in them too. you noticed him not answering anything you said. worried that he might be suffering from some aftereffects, you asked him again. “uhm… vice captain hoshina?”

he snaps out of it as soon as he hears his name. “sorry, i was just thinking. what were you saying?”

“er… is there something on my face? you’ve been staring at my face the whole time since i woke up…”

hoshina blinks once. twice. then thrice. before he focuses his gaze on something else, looking away from you. you held back a laugh at the sight of red tinting his ears as he apologized for his actions.

“i’m glad you’re alright, vice captain.”

hoshina freezes. he didn’t expect those words to have a bigger impact on him than they do now. but this is all natural, isn’t it? friends worry about each other. friends wish and hope that the other is okay.

yet why does he feel bitter when he labels this as something that friends—no, snap out of it. he thinks.

“i’m glad you’re alright too.”

the third time was when you were sent to work to the first division of all places. he was completely against it, of course, but he doesn’t have any concrete reason to actually protest against it.

it was quite boring to not have you there. he didn’t really have anyone to disturb anymore. and the sudden change in the vice captain’s demeanor doesn’t go unnoticed by the platoon leaders. sure, he still had the same toothy grin on his lips, with his fang peeking out ever so often but deep down, you can’t really point out if it was genuine.

after all, hoshina soshiro was good at concealing his emotions and thoughts.

but then again, okonogi wasn’t stupid. it pains her to be the one who’s stuck between the vice captain and her subordinate. soshiro was the same as the night he didn’t get to neutralize kaiju no. 8 back then. shoulder slumped, arms crossed, a slight pout on his lips, and an expression that clearly stated he was pondering about something—or perhaps someone?

“you miss them, don’t you?” okonogi suddenly asks as she organizes the paperwork in front of her. working with hoshina when it came to paperwork wasn’t really new, except for this time because you would also be present in times like these. “miss who?” he decided to play dumb (or is the right term indenial?)

“please don’t make me spell it out for you, vice captain.” she replied, pushing up her glasses.

hoshina doesn’t reply, zoning out as he thinks about okonogi’s words. well, it wasn’t really false that your sudden absence had changed things in the vice captain’s usual routine. he doesn’t see you making a cup of coffee after he finishes training in the middle of the night. nor does he see you drowning yourself in research at the library when you’re not in the operations room, where soshiro would personally lend you a hand and provide his own insights on whatever you’re researching.

oh.

he does miss you.

but that’s just normal, right? friends miss each other. and friends tend to leave sometimes but they will always come back when the time is right. however, the head of operations for the third division didn’t have to be some kind of genius to put two and two together.

the vice captain has some sort of interest in you as well; he just hasn’t realized it himself.

the day you returned from the first division was the day everything went back to normal for soshiro.

it was currently a quarter after one in the morning, and he had just finished his training. he ended up going more overtime than usual, but if he hadn't, he probably would’ve missed the open door to the library at this hour. and of course, being the ever so curious man he is, he takes a peek in.

and again, there you were. but this time, you were drowning yourself again in research. your hair was a bit messy, and the eyebags doesn’t go unnoticed by him. yet in spite of that, soshiro still found your appearance to be lovely. maybe it was just the fatigue from his training, or perhaps it’s the thought of you being so determined in your work that sparked such a thought in him.

regardless of what the reason actually was, soshiro found your appearance lovely despite it all.

“you should head to bed soon.” he says, approaching the table you were currently working on. you looked up, surprised to see him awake at this hour. but you put your focus back on your work, not even giving him a second glance—which surprised the vice captain. he reads on whatever you were working on, noticing that they were mostly reports of kaiju no. 9.

“researching on kaiju no. 9, i see. need a hand?”

“there’s just something off about him and i can’t put my finger on it. also thanks, but no thanks. i can handle this myself, vice captain.”

“it’s almost two in the morning, are you sure about that?”

he didn’t quite catch on to what your reply was, but he was positive that you just declined his offer either way. hoshina decides to pull up the chair beside you and grab the small stack of reports in front of you. he rotates the lamp a bit in his direction, but just enough to leave some light for you to read as well if you needed to.

you sigh at him. “vice captain, you really don’t have to—”

“but i want to. it’s the least i could do.”

truth be told, you really can’t bring yourself to be in the presence of the vice captain now. everything was just confusing. you were aware that the vice captain doesn’t really like paperwork in general (who even likes paperwork in the first place?) but you don’t get why he’s so insistent on helping you every time he finds you here.

you don’t get why he likes your company so much. you considered yourself to be plain, a bit mundane for someone to actually spend some time with. especially when your interests don’t really spark any others for the most part.

and while you may be a hopeless romantic, you weren’t foolish. even if you like the vice captain who’s currently making an effort to help you with your work, he’s just way out of your league. he’s too high to reach, and you were sure as hell that he would never actually look at you in that way. not now, not ever.

but why? why does a part of you keep saying that maybe he does? he wouldn’t do all of that if he didn’t actually look at you in that way, right? hope is a dangerous thing for someone who doesn’t know how to stop. for someone like you who refuses to give up on most occasions. it was stupid. foolish. naive.

not now, not ever would hoshina soshiro actually look at you that way.

“vice captain, please get some rest.”

“i could say the same to you.”

god, why is this man so stubborn? is he not tired from all the late night training he does? you thought, slowly getting frustrated. hoshina tells you his observations based on the reports in his hands and shares his hypothesis on the matter. he had some valid points and he’s lending a great hand at the moment. but frustration was just getting the best of you at the moment from your numerous trains of thought.

“the fact that he can adapt so easily is scary in itself. and the recent report of him breaking in the operations room in the first division states that—”

“why are you doing this?” you cut him off.

hoshina stares at you, dumbfounded at your question. he opens his mouth to answer, but no words actually come out of him. he chuckles bitterly in his mind. soshiro would like an answer to that question as well. but then it dawned on him. every flashed across his mind in seconds, and he finally realized it.

yet the result of that still scared him.

he was in love. hoshina soshiro is in love—with you nonetheless. the person he swore was just a friend. it took him quite a while to realize it, always being in denial that it was just normal for friends to act the way you two were. but he was in love. and that scared him. because what is he supposed to do when he finally realizes that you have consumed him? he never wanted this to happen, not in a million years.

but perhaps he was in love with you long before he started tripping along the lines of being friends and something more.

why are you doing this? your question echoed in his head. because i love you, he swallows back down his throat. he can’t say it. there’s no way things would work out. he could die any day and he’d rather not see you miserable because of his death. it would be better if you found someone else—but how ironic. he couldn’t really handle the thought of you being with someone else in the first place.

why are you doing this? your question echoes again. “because i love you.” he finally says, hesitant even. hesitant to know what you’re reaction was going to be. your eyes went wide at the sudden confession, and hoshina was certain that you wouldn’t believe him (well, he couldn’t really believe it either). “you’re kidding me,” you replied.

“i’m not.”

and surely enough, the look on the vice captain’s eyes said it all. he was dead serious. "i... why?” it's ten past two in the fucking morning, and you were too scared to accept that all of this was occurring right now, so you were afraid to ask. you were too scared to just randomly wake up and realize that maybe it was all a dream. too scared to believe that your feelings are being reciprocated.

“you’re an amazing man, vice captain, and i truly cannot grasp how you could feel such feelings towards me, but i love you too.” you could see hoshina jump in his seat in shock at your confession, but you continued. “i love you in ways you have never been loved, for reasons that you may not have been told, for longer than you think you deserve and with more than you will ever know existed inside of me. yet i can’t help but still wonder… how? why? wait no, why was already answered—”

he chuckles at you. stopping you with your words. “what’s so funny?” you pouted at him. “it’s nothing. i just can’t believe that we’re seriously having this moment at two in the morning.”

“sorry, i think that may have been on my part. i kind of snapped there because i was just so… confused.”

“confused?”

“yeah, confused if we’ve crossed the line between friends or lovers without actually realizing it. crazy, right?”

hoshina moves a bit closer to you, making the distance between the two of you smaller than before. he puts his forehead against yours. “not really, but i look at you, and i just love you, and it terrifies me. it terrifies me what i would do for you. i’m in love but i’m also terrified—that’s what i think is crazy.”

“then let’s be terrified together,” you whispered to him.

a soft laugh leaves his lips this time. “i like the sound of that.” he whispers back.

he loves you.

and you love him back.

that’s all what matters.

love, in general, can make you feel all sorts of things. joy, confusion, anger, fear, and many more. it can also make you do all sorts of things. it can make you do things you never really imagined doing for or with someone in the first place. it tends to be irrational—ridiculous, even. but the thought of doing all of it for the person you care most about? you finally realized that’s simply what love is all about for you.

to love is something you truly cannot name.

hi, im realising a slight obsession with vampires again anyway

does the town have any kind of wrong information? Because with all the warnings, theres probably something that got exaggerated or is believed just to be cautious like the poisonous bite? Cause based on how you formulated it, it seems thats something that might not be true 👀

also for the bitten vampire that comes across a lone Dream i have different ideas with different paths:

a) Bad or Techno who find Dream and want to genuinely take care of this fledgling who seems abandoned (potentially also with them knowing Dream as a human and recognising him, and that also fuelling a bit of possessivness)

b) Team Mafia because yes. them being a group of vampires that had to move around as something happened to their old place. they find Dream and note how he seems alone and figure it's best if he has someone around him

c) Sam wants to ensure Dream can't accidently or intentionally harm anyone (but tbh, just wanting to have him and care for him because they knew each other. and sam has been a vampire for longer. and maybe also had a crush on Dream when they were kids. and still has said crush)

but also the idea of it being someone with no good intentions at all and sap and george having to rescue Dream from him and then potentially one of the others coming by and helping (potentially because that vampire has been noticeable to other vampires before in a bad way)

You know what's wild and crazy. I was in the middle of writing up something about the bitten vampire who found dream when I got this ask lmao

But first! What's myth and legends and what's truth. (I love world building here lmao so buckle up)

Now. A lot of what I'm describing about vampires does come from the vampire video, which! Is all about vampire myth and legends, folklore. It's all fake yea? And it has so many fascinating things I never even thought about being vampire related. And there really was a point where I wanted it All to be truth in this AU. All this folklore ends up being the reality of this world. But that's not, like, feasible. However!!

Because there's plenty of vampire stuff that is from modern times that is nowhere related to folklore ya know? Like Sires and fledglings and covens and all that jazz. Which I like to think is Vampire Knowledge. How they know a Sire's blood is what helps a new fledgling fully develop their vampiric traits. The basically telepathic connection vampires have with their covers and fledglings. How vampires know a fledgling will subconsciously have their Sire crave to take care of them. Along with different bits and pieces that'll surely come up later. But basically how a vampiric society actually functions is not really a known thing in the human world.

Human Knowledge would be the folklore stuff. Which is all very...iffy. A lot of it sounds, weird and strange, how could anyone have thought this and this event were the cause of vampires, so on and so forth. Like how the plague(kinda) or natural disasters(not) were the works of a vampire. How they thought maybe rats were a cause for vampirism too(not).

Now the thing about our folklore is that humans never really see...a walking moving vampire ya know?(cause they aren't real) and it's always about exhuming corpses and finding blood at the ends of their mouths, which means vampire!(along with other various weird corpse decaying things that were blamed on vampirism) which makes it really funny picking and choosing what's real and what isn't because if these people are basing their research on exhumed corpses too, there are bound to be a whole lot of misconceptions. (But that's mostly to... describe the appearance of vampires lol)

So it's up in the air for me how humans discover a lot of these things but I do wanna say Most of their knowledge about vampires are based on unbitten vampires.

As I mentioned before, Sapnap and George's town preserve a lot of the "folklore" of vampires in this world, unbitten folklore really(though they dont really know the difference all too well). Since you know, those are typically the ones that randomly appear in human settlements.

And it's like....why does that happen then? How come unbittens occur? And I do want to say Vampirism in itself is just a curse on the world and I wanna say its a troubled unsatisfied human soul that gets turned into a vampire if it dies suddenly, still wanting more in the world. I guess it's a curse and a blessing? Getting a second chance for unfinished buisness.

And this...curse, well it does have a time limit. Or well. It /did/. Unbittens were the first kind of vampires, perhaps a blessing by whatever higher power, something that would allow humans to be given a little extra time after death to finish everything they thought they needed to do in life, being a sort of immortal beast, unable to be sick or easily killable so they have the best possible chance of completing their task. Before a kind of madness takes over and kills an unbitten through the sheer mental torture (oops this blessing not having a good way out, silly higher power)

And what ends up happening is humans forming all these "warnings" about how a vampire comes to be. It always seems to be people who were "bad" in/at life that seem to return as the undead. So a lot of the tales were shaped around that, such as being a "troublemaker" or being a highway man/crominal, dying alone and unloved, or perhaps a disease taking you too soon, ...suicide. A lot of the true ways unbittens happen is knowing if the human had a very sorrowful life/end....A lot of people who were wronged in this world are the kind of people to turn (unfortunately?). Though being "wronged" is very....debatable to the curse. Someone who's extremely greedy suddenly dying and unfulfilled because they continue to want to be greedy wouldn't trigger the curse. But say...a known and hated thief suddenly dying...well if said thief died feeling unfilled because they still have two people they need to look after and care for, to at least say goodbye to them, to say they love them one last time....well the curse would "bless" them with that chance.

There's also toss up reasons like....someone who is perceived a bad person because they outwardly act cruel but are just craving validation or something of that sort, suddenly dying, unfulfilled in life, then turning, just wanting to maybe make things right, or to enjoy just a little longer as their true selves and not this person they created themselves to be..

But like...no one wants to die. And in ye olden days, when unbittens were common enough that people knew there's a chance at becoming one. People mostly knowing that unbittens weren't really monsters back then, they were just people who wanted one more thing in life, as a goodbye, before they're in peace. Maybe they used to be well received back then. Maybe people helped them die again to prevent the mental anguish...

But if you kinda know youre going to become an undead, and know the little extra time you're blessed with afterwards isn't enough....Running away once you wake up again not wanting the people in your community to /kill/ you before you go mad(even if its for your own good, to die in peace this time). Surely there's a way to keep living. Surely there's a way for more /time/.

And when too much time has passed. Too much to still be standing but still persevering, the madness almost too much. Noticing a random traveler. Being so so /hungry/.

Then your mind becoming so clear. Like something that was tearing apart your very soul just disappearing. But noticing all the /blood/ everywhere. Especially in your mouth.

I wanna say bitten vampires came to be from unbitten who needed more time, who found the loophole to the curse. Blood containing the life they need to continue on. And if they kept drinking, their mind will always be at peace. Never again suffering and becoming basically immortal. An unbitten finding a victim but not killing them, realizing it just created another vampire. Maybe because it was a sudden death? Not knowing how to handle this newly turned vampire and leaving it.

This happening too often and people getting killed by rouge undead, rouge vampires. Killing people and animals to quell the insanity thats gripping their mind. Legends and myths changing, vampires being an evil Monster because of this...

Yet....when an unbitten turns someone, and cherishes and nurtures them(maybe someone they loved, someone they were able to restrain themselves from killing). Not having enough blood to feed their new companion, knowing that madness will take them if they can't get blood. So they make the sacrifice of giving their own. In hopes they live. And a bitten fledgling is born.

Blood from a vampire having a unique effect, it's blood of a curse(blood of a blessing).

And time will go on and on, stories changing, history lost and learned, and societies developing. Until we get to our boys :)

So to answer the question, yea. The town does have a lot of wrong things. Thinking the saliva of a vampire is what turns someone is correct in a sense, because being bitten has turned people (to go off the video, it said people would get super sick for 3 days, die, and become a vampire). But that food that was bitten by a vampire, say cattle, consuming the meat would also turn you into a vampire. Which is...kinda true...a half truth. If the slab of meat you got still had the lingering essence of a vampire, yea unfortunately ya gonna get the vampire plague :/ (which I wanna say bitten vampires still don't fully understand how it happens either. They just know an unbitten biting a human and not killing them will make them sick and die eventually :/...vampire rabies....and most likely become a vampire. I do wanna say there's a failure rate but...that's for another time :)

It was just easier to head a warning like "the food bitten by a vampire will turn you" than a "OK well actually if you just kinda avoid those bits and just prepare everything really well and not eat it any sorts of raw, ya probably fine tbh...also dont share spit..."

I wanna say the way it actually happens is...yes it's basically transmitted through the saliva of a vampire but....the vampire needs to have this kind of desperate urge to live for it to work. Cause then the curse is kinda...most active in them ya know? The curse transfers through them to the victim in a way. Though. The curse has to be the one that kills them, not the vampire. At least.....That's how it works for the unbitten.

So unbitten vampires being desperate for blood because they want to live and get madness out of their head, yea the curse is pretty active!

But a Dream peacefully eating and content with George and Sapnap feeding him prey they found in the woods. Nothings gonna happen. George and Sapnap could very well skin the pelt and cook up the rabbit or whatever they caught after Dream is done with it. Instead of like...burning it to char :/

Other things that the town have wrong! (That George and Sapnap(and Dream) may or may not believe in)

- Vampires obsessed with untying knots(no, idk where they got that from)

- Vampires cause famine (if ya got some rouge running around and scaring away hunts and cattle making meat harder to get, ok yea, that's on them....they dont affect crops.)

- Eating dirt from a Vampire's grave (after supposedly being bitten) would cure you of vampirism (No, don't eat dirt)

- a Vampire will return to its grave if it was buried (No. Most unbitten do end up dying if they were buried. But if they manage to dig themselves out, they ain't going back in. This is based more on the exhumed bodies of alleged vampires)

- Vampires are a supernatural all powerful creature (no, kinda. Unbittens aren't, that's basically a human still)

- Certain hallucinogentic plants can cause vampirism (no that's just someone who's high that went coo-coo crazy)

- Being an alcoholic can cause vampirism (not really. Depends on the person's life and whether it triggers the curse)

- An unproper funeral would be a cause for vampirism (no. Religion has nothing to do with vampirism(unless the religious trauma caused a very unfilled life oops))

-All sorts of body decaying things indicating that a dead body is a vampire (swollen body, liquid/uncoagulated blood leaking from the mouth, eyes, or ears, new fingernails/fresh looking skin weeks after death, ect.) (That's just decomposition, not a vampire)

- Vampires have no bones anymore and are just full of blood (based on how very difficult it is to kill a bitten vampire and bone breaking weapons not seeming to break any bones??(it can just not easily) An unbitten would have very obvious bones broke though...)

- Vampires have a sharpen pointed tongue to cut flesh easier (kinda of mixed up in the whole unbitten creating bitten vampires and those bitten vampires being able to bite through skin easily for blood, since unbitten back then were known to not have sharpen teeth there was a lot of confusion happening tbh (their modern day knowing vampires have sharpen teeth now, they just think the tongue thing also is a feature they have lmao))

- Vampires are just mindless creatures set on just drinking blood (that's just cause humans mostly experience a rouge vampire desperate for blood attacking them. The original plot of undead needing extra time for unfinished buisness got super lost in the whole....vampires killing humans bit)

- Vampires barely speak and will mostly groan (no. This is again based on exhumed corpses lmao)

- Vampires are allergic to daylight. (No. It's just easier at night, freshly turned are just very sensitive to most things but it mellows once they get used to it)

- Vampires can survive purely on animal blood (kinda...? You'll just get a really weak and continuously hungry vampire, with just enough sense to not start attacking randomly)

- Vampires will not only drink blood but also eat and mangle livestock and humans (no....? A rouge vampire desperate for blood might get a bit too vicious with whatever they ended up catching...though most of these accounts were actually animal attacks...)

- Vampires turn into bats. (Vampires have nothing to do with bats.)

- Vampires are also werewolves(i.e. turn into wolves) (no...those are just wolf attacks)

There's probs a butt ton more I could come up with tbh Most of these basically coming from the video really haha. (I feel like how to Kill a Vampire is a whole separate case of what's truth and what isn't that can be for another time)

BUT YEA. Humans are....not the /best/ source of what is and isn't a vampire/vampire behavior.

George and Sapnap do slowly learn what is and isn't true the longer they're with Dream, though most things Dream can't really prove (do vampires go back to their grave? Probably, Dream just never got buried really so that doesn't count)

Unbittens don't really survive long enough for a bitten to find and basically.. find out more either. So unfortunately, humans have the best unbitten vampire knowledge lmao (they kinda just throw random bad occurrences as a vampire's fault and sees what sticks) Though again....humans aren't really aware there /is/ a difference between bitten and unbitten.

So George and Sapnap (and Dream) will be...very suprised by what a bitten vampire is capable of when meeting one :3c

WHICH. I considered that I should just copy/paste what I have onto here when I first read this ask. But. This has become a lot of world building and the bitten vampire bit I think is also gonna be pretty long and have more world building. And the two should probs be separated. So I think I'll post that separately TwT

Though I will say I did choose Techno to be the bitten :3

What is funny though, I couldn't really think of anyone else to be the bitten and then reading your ask I'm like oh wait those are good...LOL

I actually...haven't fleshed out...the different people I want in this AU funny enough. I've been so focused on world building that I forgot there's people.. outside of dteam LOL

Like Techno can find Dream first, but that doesn't mean other bitten don't find him either!

It is...a baby in the middle of a forest tbh...with no sire in sight....

It also gave me the idea of bitten very easily blending in with human society if they wanted to tbf. (Unbitten technically can too, but...their instincts are very.....baby coded(impulsive) unfortunately....and that makes it difficult to properly assimilate...)

I can imagine Bad being the baker who always gave dteam any leftover baked treats at the end of the day. Unknowing to them that he's a vampire...

That after Dream turns, some of the goodies snf bring back smelling....weird...and it makes his instincts kinda freaked out a little but he doesn't know why...at least, not yet. (It does end up making him super clingy to the two, his brain telling him he has to get rid of the smell somehow!!)

(Bad eventually figuring out why Dream is not the one picking up the treats anymore when he can smell a very distinct fledgling scent on snf...oh muffins...)

Team Mafia does give me...nomadic coven kind of vibe maybe(very rare for vampires to travel for fun, almost unheard of a whole coven doing that!) Though I think it'd be really interesting of them being a side plot with Sapnap lmao (poor Sapnap coming across these idiots alone and terrified for his life being surround by a coven of vampires who think he'd be their perfect fledgling heh) (LOTS of ideas for this one lmao)

Sam, I want to say, is an inventor and is called out to bigger towns/cities for his inventions and expertise but his hometown is where dteam are. Always having a crush on the troublemaker orphan that's always stealing from his neighbors. Unfortunately, seems like he promised himself to two other people, his soulmates he calls them. And yea. It hurt a little...but he got over it (he swears!!) And if Sam is always...dropping little trinkets that he knows Dream will find and be able to pawn off for some gold, something so he can keep his belly full, well...

I do want to say on one of Sam's travels he does end up getting bit...and taken to a coven...where...yea they were taking care of him as a fledgling and he was learning the ins and outs of vampiric society, but its been a couple of years....and he didn't want to be there. He wanted to go home. And so he ran away(as much as his instinct begged and pleaded to stay with his sire....)

Maybe Bad finds him, able to sense a fledgling in the town and takes care of him :(!! Sam is still very much a baby vampire and happily is accepting Bad as a new Sire (maybe his old one was bad...)

Sam is a little baby fledgling that should be in a nest too! Should be in one for years and years and years and despite Bad's insistence, Sam wants to continue his life!! (Wants to see Dream again!!)

Unfortunate that right before he got back Dream had his accident :(

So when Sam comes across a baby fledgling Dream!!! Barely a few months old!!! Maybe the fates were bringing them together!! He can just take Dream and take care of him and be so good for him and!!!

(Dream stop struggling what the heck, let's go home, stop, you need blood in you I know someone who can help, Dream wait please >:(!!! JUST STAY STILL!!)

Very scared Dream wants his Sires to come rescue him :(

For no good intentions. I do think rouge/unbitten vampires are generally looked down upon in Vampire society. Only cause they're also known to be kind of mindless and blood hungry. The unbitten of olde are really just legends for vampire kind. Only by chance was an unbitten able to turn into a bitten pshh

Bittens are...scary good at assimilating...and sometimes bitten really have a bad hatred for rouge vampires (should be put down, a disgrace really) So...there /are/ vampires who are part of hunter groups...(these vampires are considered a kind of pure-ist? Very...radical thinking in the vampire world I think)

And be it maybe Q or Punz(maybe the hunter groups knows Punz is a vampire and they're just paying him handsomely to be a kind of tracker for rouges) or someone else part of these hunter groups and ends up finding Dream...curious enough to want to find out how this unbitten isn't the ravaging beast that he's expected to be...and maybe he can be used for more...nefarious things...(killing a bitten is hard, but their fangs sell really well on the black market....and having a crying stressed fledgling is a really good way of attracting bitten and making them vulnerable :)

have tried my best to put in all the nice platonic manhwas i’ve read! theres still a bunch of romance but fun and games and lightheartedness is the main focus of these for sure 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

first of all i will rec the obvious and popular ones so they dont get missed becuse they are Popular for a Good Reason:

the s classes that i raised (super good, ive read the novel mostly but the manhwa is JUST as great. mc is collecting people like pokemon)

okay onto the actual recs !

WHEN THE THIRD WHEEL STRIKES BACK

HILARIOUS. genuinely so good, pretty underrated too (in that i havent seen anyone talking about this?) but it has a main character who isekais into a second male lead and decides to stay awayy from the leads — this fails miserably, obviously, and its comical. the misunderstandings, the unlucky run-ins… also the mc is a priest and theres a pretty interesting magic system and worldbuilding!! and as a final bonus the art is nice. genuinely so fun to read, highly recommend

A STEPMOTHER’S MARCHEN

favourite manhwa of all time tbh its the only one ive bought a physical copy of (so far, anyway.. hehe). has a romance sub plot but the characterisations, relationships, plot development etc is exquisite. the family relationship takes precedence here especially in the first few arcs, the characters are REALISTIC, the art is gorgeous…, i love it so so much highly rec if you havent read it already. i guess this doesnt fall as much into light-hearted, because there are quite a lot of heavy moments… but its nicely balanced out with the comedy n all so i’ll put it in anyway :]

SCHOOLMATE FRIEND

super cute! this one is a school romance and it doesnt have many chapters out but its simple and the two mains are adorable. its a nice fluffy read and the artstyle is also lovely.

THE DEMON KING DAD AND HIS HERO DAUGHTER

jdjsjd can you tell how this goes from the title? speaking of which i type it from memory and i cant find the tab i had it open in so it might actually be “his daughter the hero” not “his hero daughter”… not sure. anyway i havent read much of this one but the first few chapters alone had me screaming the dad and his lackey are idiots please read it for him. he loves his daughter but this is backfiring on him so badly djrnfj

RETURN OF THE WAR GOD

you would assume the war god goes to war! but no. he picks up a little girl and then he’s like. ok mine now. and the rest of the manhwa is spent getting money out of people and living in the woods in his homemade mansion with his daughter and the mamy many sidekicks that they pick up along the way. lovely art, lots of funny moments, plenty of action -- this is a martial arts story -- n the side characters are great (especially the governor lol) .

SCREW THE NOBLE LIFE, I’M GOING HOME

there arent many chapters out for this one (24 i think?) but im so invested already. as it stands this is centred entirely around the isekai’d main character and her new family, there is a heavy dose of angst about identity issues but every chapter has a new misunderstanding and it has me rolling fr ,, oh also the mc’s new brothers are her stepsiblings but they shoot down that romance route really fast and their relationships are so entertaining if it keeps going the way it is this will definitely become a favourite. heres an out of context foot pic

SIGRID

AMAZING TRULY AMAZING the character arcs in this one are so !!! yummy !!! mc time travels n endeavours to correct her actions n save people and in the process makes sm friends and all the characters have depth and grow and theyre all so !!! lovable !!!! the friendships in this one are amazing even without the romance subplot (and also speaking of romance, its a slow burn mainly cus sigrid is as dense as a brick but its NOT frustrating because it actually makes sense for her character!! like im usually the first one to move on from a thick fl but honestly you cant help but cheer them on) its so so good, i love it

THE MEANING OF YOU

this one is an isekai romance with again some lovely character arcs :D the main character is pretty depressive but its also got plenty of light/funny moments to balance it out, and the plot centres around her learning to take care of herself and becoming more confident,, i love the characters a lot ! they care a lot. the romance does get a bit cheesy at times but it really is so wholesome with solid characterisation n its completed too so you have a nice 3am read.

HOW TO BE A DARK HERO’S DAUGHTER

urgh one of the best kid leads ever, plenty of plot and the art is gorgeous as well like its a winner all around okay. as it stands its on an indefinite hiatus (author had cancer and i assume is still recovering or just taking a break for a while) but season one is already completed and its an excellent family centred read with a few mysteries scattered here n there also did i mention the entire family is so yummy. im so gone for the butler fjddjdnndd

MY BROTHERS, THE PROTAGONISTS

simultaenously super funny and somewhat angsty. this is one of those dungeon manhwa but the caveat is each of the mc's brothers has a different trope going on (time travel, became demon king, isekai'd) while mc is a decent potion maker and has to deal with all their bullshit (affectionate). it handles family issues and balances it with comedy perfectly. the main character is really really likeable and you cant help but cheer her on. so far its almost entirely platonic but i spy a few male leads lol

MY CUTE BEAST!!!

romance manhwa again !! fjdmcjf the author of this one looked at all the classic miscommunication and misunderstanding tropes and noped the fuck out its so easy to read because you will NOT stress out and the male lead is so cute also. they play with the typical gender roles so fl has the knight aura while the ml is the damsel. its great and the characterisations are also awesome. big big fan. look him

Yesss I love that idea so much!! Sorry this is a month late, I got distracted for a bit since I went on a trip to the beach with my friend and didn't get any writing done for a good couple of weeks lmao. I decided to go with both headcanons and a fic because I felt bad for making you wait for so long. Headcanons are below, the fic will be out later this week! 🥰

Tw: yandere/dark content, gender neutral reader, Veronica is extremely manipulative but we love her anyway, brief mentions of suicide (relevant to canon, yknow)

Veronica's one of the more covert yanderes tbh. She's not as domineering as Heather Chandler or straight up crazy like JD. At first, she just appears as your typical teenage girl who's worried about their partner. Sure, she's a little clingy, and possessive, and overly protective, but with people like Kurt and Ram out there who wouldn't be?

Her manipulation is also a lot more subtle than other people's. She's able to easily disguise it as worry, insisting that she's just trying to look out for you when it comes to parties you might want to attend or people you hang out with

She has absolutely no problem making up stories or coming up with lies in order to get you to leave certain people alone. Oh, you didn't hear that so-and-so slept with their best friend's boyfriend? Wow, I thought everybody knew that. She's so trustworthy and genuine, of course you believe her

If you ever manage to catch her in a lie, she's quick to turn it around on you or act as if she has no idea what you're talking about. She'll pretend that she got this information from a second hand source, so naturally it couldn't be all true, but at least some of it has to be, right? So it's still better for you not to hang out with this person, just in case

It's even harder to see what she's doing as manipulation given the fact that her worries aren't entirely baseless. There are plenty of awful people in the school, and it wouldn't be too far-fetched to believe that she truly does want to protect you. She may be a bit excessive, sure, but that's only because she doesn't want to see you get hurt

When I say she limits the people you're "allowed" to hang out with, I mean that. Heather McNamara is okay, and maybe Heather Duke, but Heather Chandler is off limits, and don't even think about going anywhere near Kurt and Ram (not that you'd want to, because ew)

Even Martha Dunstock is a perfect candidate for a friend, because she never hangs out with anyone else anyway, which means no one will bother you two. And by bother I of course mean give you any sort of attention

JD is a bit of a toss up. Veronica trusts that he'd never let anything happen to you, but she also knows that he always ends up finding trouble no matter where he goes, intentional or not, so you'll typically only hang out with him if Veronica is also there to keep an eye on him

Overall, she's a great girlfriend! If you don't mind only hanging out with people that she trusts to keep an eye on you or occasionally getting caught up in her and JD's passionate discussion about "ridding the world of popular filth" and all that. But that's nothing to worry about, I'm sure. Even if the eventual suicides of Heather Chandler and Kurt and Ram did seem a bit suspicious...

kinda bothers me when aros or aces (im demisexual and demiromantic btw!) are like. weirdly unthoughtful about why romance and sex are important to some people?

obviously its fine to be sex repulsed and romance repulsed and love repulsed and platonic repulsed and everything in between that i may have forgotten to mention. i am accepting of all people above all else. i wanna make that clear.

i just find it odd why some seem genuinely confused why people, for example, ship two characters romantically when they themself see it as platonic. or why people make so much art about sex. etc etc. like, cmon, lmfao

obviously we should have more representation and normalization for people who dont want romance or sex, but that doesnt mean we should have less romance and sex if theres still people who enjoy those things. if you dont, its fine, just dont judge other people unless they're doing something harmful. not that hard rlly

not that important but its just something i noticed and have an opinion about. it's important to always be open-minded even when it's stuff like this. its kind of in the same vein as, yk, not making fun of straight people for being straight. sure you're punching up, but it also makes you annoying, so what is it really accomplishing?

oh i keep forgetting about this other point i have. plenty of gays like sex and romance. so hm i wonder why this oppressed group of people may want to be able to freely express their sexuality and romantic interests

hi so your excellent eiffel posting has made me obsessed with the man. so i thought i should share some headcanons i have with the source of my fixation.

im not sure if it's disputed in canon, but i think eiffel used to curse A Lot More than he does on the hephaestus. i know this is mainly a metatextual thing to do with explicit labels, but i like to think that the reason he self censors a lot in the show (cutting himself off, substituting with less harsh words) is cause part of getting sober also involved unlearning his cursing so that anne wouldn't hear it from him. something about not wanting to expose her to the harsher side of the world that he's lived in his whole life.

i also think eiffel is a velcro shoes guy (understandable and based) and can't tie his own laces if he has laced shoes. HOWEVER, he can tie someone else's shoes cause he learnt how to tie anne's for her. retranslating those motor skills in a first person perspective has proved difficult for the galaxy's least co-ordinated comms officer.

okay! about eiffel swearing... to an extent, i think both things are true? like you said, he canonically self censors - i think are space suits itchy? is a good example in this particular context; it definitely reads as "eiffel bleeping himself out because it's funny" and not any sort of external intervention, to me - and there are quite a few times where he almost swears, but gets cut off. and there's a note in the script for quiet, please that reads: "if this were HBO, this is where eiffel and minkowski would both swear profusely." (incidentally, also the episode that gives us "eiffel stops what he's doing and holds up a rude gesture.") most characters in wolf 359 would probably swear more frequently if they were not in wolf 359, but eiffel is particularly interesting because i think it does... kind of by nature sand down some rough edges he has, but that the show can only suggest?

i know i bring up the fact he lists sex and porn as two of the things he misses about earth semi-frequently, but i think it's genuinely kind of fascinating that he's a textually sexual person who can only express that through quips like, "there's stuff in a man's brain that's really not safe for work." it's kinda a balancing act. i think those aspects of who he is are worth keeping in mind, and i think wolf 359 being... the type of show that it is (and isn't) might give a softer / skewed perception of him, in the sense that people would probably view him a little differently if some cruder elements of who he is weren't expressed so indirectly. but, at the same time, the way he self censors is part of his characterization. and in part i would believe he tried to train himself out of swearing as an aspect of his sobriety, and how he spoke around anne (because he really wanted to be a good dad, but also because he really wanted to come across well during the custody battle.) as an extension of that, it's also one of the ways he's trying to rehabilitate (+ fictionalize) the idea of who doug eiffel is.

(realistically, he definitely feels there are a lot of things he shouldn't do, but he clearly didn't give up smoking. and he was probably adamant that he wouldn't smoke around his daughter, but he's a chain smoker, and it's still on him and in his clothes. a lot of things with eiffel come down to a conflict between his intentions + ideals and what effect his actions actually have. i'm sure he still slipped up and said plenty of things he shouldn't have. like i said, it's a balance.)

personally, i think eiffel is a (socks and) sandals guy, and otherwise... while velcro would probably be more practical for him, in my mind he's just got perpetually untied shoelaces. he can tie them, but they come untied no matter how he does it. and if you asked him if he can tie his shoes properly, he would get defensive about it and fumble and take a really long time to do it. he's also definitely the kind of person who uses rhymes, sayings, etc. to remember things, even things he does often. nothing more reassuring than a guy doing complex mechanical maintenance muttering "righty tighty, lefty loosey" to himself.

As much as you trusted Jeonghan to pull together a decent birthday dinner... You still didn’t let him cook alone.

He’d already laid out the recipe for tonight. It was something you love, because he wanted to do something special for you. Yet you had picked up the other apron when you came home, and asked him to tie for you so that you could help. He’d frowned at first, reminding you that he could handle himself just fine (and if not, Mingyu was just a call away), but he knew your real reasoning: you liked cooking with him. It made you happy to feel useful, so he let it all go and carefully tied your apron for you. With a gentle kiss on your cheek, he started to instruct you on what needed to be done with this subtle smile on his face that was full of am intimate fondness for nights like these.

(And he felt that smile grow when you answered with a “Yes, chef!” just to tease him after he finished giving you his orders.)

So the two of you worked together in this calm quiet with only slight conversation flowing between the two of you. You had visited some friends earlier today for brunch, and called your parents a few hours ago, and Jeonghan always took interest in anything you liked to share about your day. Seungcheol had bought you a few face masks that you’d been eyeing up the last time the two of you casually went shopping together (for a present for Mingyu, Jeonghan was pretty sure--he’d already bought something and you wanted to give Mingyu something without your boyfriend’s name attached to it). Of course, he had to hear plenty about it later from the others who spotted you and Seungcheol together--something about how you looked “like Seungcheol’s girlfriend” based on the doting way he treated you, just as a light way of teasing him. It never bothered him (that was why people continued to make the jokes), plus it meant that he knew you were being taken care of by his friends.

He still had the picture that Vernon sent him of you and Seungcheol out that day, where Seungcheol had taken your bags for you, like a gentleman... and he’d been given the delightful opportunity to act offended, asking Seungcheol what the hell this was before his friend quickly realized that he was just teasing.

(Truthfully, you told Jeonghan that Seungcheol would carry his bags, too, if he was tired. Maybe he’ll invite him out with the two of you next time you have some shopping to do, just to see if you were right.)

Genuinely, it warmed his heart a lot to know that you were being doted on by his close friends. He was stirring a sauce for your meal while you recounted how Joshua had sent you a sweet birthday text this morning, saying something.. rather sappy about how happy he was that you and Jeonghan had found one another. Things that Jeonghan had already heard before when Joshua confessed one night that he thought the two of you fit together perfectly, all while a bit drunk on wine.

“Honey?” He had spoken up at one point, gesturing for you to come over. “Can you taste this for me?”

You finished what you were doing, having been almost done, and made your way across your tiny shared kitchen to him. He held up a spoon so that you could taste, and he watched as you thought it over for barely a few seconds before your eyes lit up with pure joy. Pride swelled in his chest: he had made it perfectly for you.

“It’s delicious,” you said after a moment, realizing that your starstruck expression alone probably wasn’t what Jeonghan wanted to hear (although it had definitely been enough). “Is this from the recipe I gave you...?”

“It is,” he smiled, leaning forward to peck your cheek. “I can handle the rest, honey,” he said. “Go rest, okay? You’ve had a busy day.”

With a quick peck against his lips, you agreed after a moment. He knew you well enough: you hadn’t had much downtime to yourself. As much as you insisted that being around him was different, he wanted you to rest. Besides... The sooner he got you out of the kitchen, the safer his little birthday surprise to you would be. The small cake in the fridge had gone completely unnoticed by you so far. You had come home earlier than he thought and spoiled his plan to surprise you with dinner...

... So that was why he had the back-up plan. At least he could surprise you with that and a softly sung “happy birthday“ when all was said and done.

I’m scared, in my purest form i am scared

The most primal fear i have felt.

My mind is too simple to comprehend the thoughts of higher beings, watching my every move. Judging me. Being able to destroy worlds with a single touch.

Everything is so complex that it makes me want to rip my head out in frustration. And yet i am so morbidly fascinated by it, to where i am constantly blipping in and out of reality, panicking and crying at the thought that everything i do and say is being watched.

I am merely one simple-minded troglodyte being faced with the secrets of the universe

And i hate it

And yet i cant seem to pull away

I understand you so much, truly and genuinely. I has the same exact problem and feeling but yet I can’t explain how else this could be.

It’s simply apart of us. we exist and so does the divine energy constantly surrounding each step and thought of ours. I have a theory of most people on the schizospec simply being exposed to the wrong side of this world, there’s much kindness in the omnipresence that watched - I assure you, yet sometimes the mind does this strange thing of convincing us that it’s dangerous, that it wants harm, or that it’s bad.

Being afraid of the unknown is imbedded in us since birth. The deep undersea, space and what’s beyond the stars, the vast space in deserts and the Antarctic, and nothingness of everything - but to some, there’s an insatiable urge to explore these places. Most stay docile, and that’s alright - finding peace and comfort in what’s familiar to them, tending to their own hearts and surroundings, focusing on the crops of their mind and home. Yet to others, such as I, there’s a roaring flame that beckons to explore. Be the one to find new things and places, to find new ways of thinking and seeing! To be the one who breaks all of society’s rules in the most raw way possible.

and I don’t mean simply “hey! debolish all gender norms, destroy capitalism!!” Although that too I stand by, but.. that’s the most baby step of it all. Why force yourself to even have an identity? Just to fit in with others and oblige with the norms.. why have a name? Why have a face? Why be among those which fail to understand the true importance of nature and beauty of everything!? Nothing is important, everything is important. Everything is important. Nothing is important.

It’s not given to everyone, that much I understand, it’s impossible to be given to everyone, that much you can understand. Not all will have the same mindset or ability, so it’s illogical to assume that they will even try grasp at the understanding, at the concept. Yet.. funnily enough, plenty of such souls exist. These poetic, artistic souls. Deriving pleasure through merely existing and finding suffering the pinnacle of their art. The search for knowledge isn’t a new thing, it’s always existed, and people thrive in different aspects of it. The world is so large! do you know?? The world is SO large!!! And yet.. not one individual is the same. Similar, sure. Nearly identical, sometimes. But the main word is nearly.

Not one person will be exactly 1-1 identical by memories, desires, opinions, wants, beliefs, biological, and aspirations. The main step in kindness is understanding that. Hey - also wanted to say that the core to demolishing all the norms in society is leaving the very foundations and main values of why it ever was a thing - connection, kindness, decency, love, and respect. To be a proud outcast yet still have some knowledge not to go out and fking yell and destroy stuff. Don’t scream by the things you stand for. Don’t harm others (without their consent). And don’t be a damn jerk, you still live here and so try to stay quiet as others are, you know - many of these people also want the same, deep down, but are trapped by a system of work work work. But what I was going to is that all people have their own interests and specifics they thrive in, some in science, some in maths, some in philosophy, some in drama, some in acting, some in art. You can’t expect everyone to be able to understand art the same way you can’t expect all to understand maths and quadratic formulas or not. (P.s. .. so there’s no misunderstanding, I don’t mean the new art ‘culture’, I mean the fact art is something that’s meant to speak from the soul and not be just a cash grab. That’s something I’m sickened by). So ofcourse not everyone will get the other dimensional plane, the fact they’re surrounded by spirits and passing energy, and even feel their own soul, which despite being ever so present in most, is something I admit that doesn’t come to all.

look.. I’m fascinsted with this world beyond ours, but it doesn’t mean I wasn’t scared as fuck. I hid under my blanket like a child at the mere thought and feeling of another presence, but I matured and grew to understand them. Appreciate them, even. I had a mischaracterisation of ‘omg there’s cameras in my home!’ Which I don’t blame for infact I was being watched yet without the questionable intent of humans. I do admit, some spirits can be unkind, but that doesn’t mean all are. I haven’t met much yet, but the few that I have have been nothing but kind to me, helping me along the way. I have been in the presence of one unkind one, which made me soul absolutely fall to my stomach and make me grow with worry and dread, but at the first instance of being told to leave, I did (was walking in a graveyard just to check things out, but even there, I had a spirit express how thankful they were for a visitor, so exited to see someone venture into the far and overgrown path). I know many won’t understand, many won’t even try, and some may even see this as some insanity - but I don’t think that affects me. I am who I am and I will be who I will be. The spiritual world is a dangerous and wild place, and yet, so are humans. If I even had to choose, I’d say humans are more unpredictable. Spirits are much more complex feeling wise yet more intelligent with limited words, I can just say ‘please leave’ and they go away, which honestly surprised me, but I’m thankful for. im quite glad to have some guides for this adventure, so ofcourse I don’t expect anyone to follow my footsteps exactly, but I just can’t help but share this with the world.. my mind yearns to express these things.. and I am so happy for the ability to. I value communication a lot.

Personality: I'm more on the shy side and kind of anxious but once i get to know someone better i talk more. I tend to look on the positive side of things and try finding the lesson of situations. Hobbies: i really like journaling about finding myself and who i am as a person or media i really like. I also junk journal. I enjoy reading from time to time along with writing short stories. Im learning tarot and about crystals. I really love photography and painting the most. Im into gaming as well my big three are animal crossing, overwatch and Fortnite.

My likes: I do like a good shopping haul, little trinkets and a sweet treat. I love a rainy day while playing animal crossing. Cherry or vanilla scented things are my go to. I'm a cat mom:3 also I love pasta.

morning astethtic?

i don't see people talking often about this astethtic.. im about to change that. <3

i understand some people don't like getting up early. But, darling, the early mornings are litterly superior than any other moments of the day.

I'll tell you why..

I personally believe that the blue hour is the best time of a day..

(it have been affecting most of my personality and writings lately 🩶)

the blue hour is basically a brief window just before sunrise or after sunset, where the remaining sunlight takes on a mostly blue shade.

picture this, not only getting to witness a Beautiful sunset (mind you every sunrise is different) but also enjoying the calm and quiet weather, the dark blue slowly fading as the daylights creep through the sky. The clouds turning into an orange pinkish mess. The hot drinks while feeling a cold breeze creep against your skin, as you sit on the board of your window and watch the nature follow it's waking up ritual from centuries.

the fog on your window, the cold floor under your feet as you try to not wake anyone, after all, you mastered this art of enjoying the silence on your own.

aren't you greedy for keeping this beauty to yourself, or are you one of the few blessed ones who figured out that we miss life's best moments when we blink an eye?

The soft music playing in your headphones as you sip your drink, thinking about life, love or even simple matters like what to have for lunch? as simple as it is, it'll roll in your mind, over and over in the same cadence.

As you watch the clouds head to the nowhere, the silliest thoughts will haunt you, do they ever meet again, will clouds ever reach you, living in the other side of the planet, or will i watch this bunny shaped cloud by myself and think of you?

I genuinely belive this hour was a gift, having the world for yourself, thinking about anything and everything while watching the other fellow humans be late for this moment, as if late for a shift you'll never get grounded for missing. But, over the years, you'll realize how many shifts you missed, how many opportunities you could have snitched, how many times you could've changed, yet you never did.

As you sit in silence, you can't help but feel this superiority, of knowing, of witnessing something many lived and died ignoring it.

As simple as it is, it's perfect for doing anything on your mind, from writing that one book to doing all of your assignments.

And when i tell you, you'll have plenty of time in your hands, you might even finish crime and punishment in one sitting.

i am sure by now, darling, you realized it's not about missing a sunset, but about missing your lifetime. we all have some ups and downs, we can go to sleep exhausted and miss the sunset, which can be referrer to as a missed opportunity, but, fear not, you still have time, you can change. when you go to sleep tonight, i want you to think about what you read, and when you wake up for the Blue hour, i want you to know I'll be awake too, and I'll keep you company.

WAIT, does that mean that Kieran/Akari still captured legendaries?!!! When they're hearing Cinhtya talking about myths and legends of Hisui to see if there is a semblance of truth, and Akari just goes "Oh, ye." And just, sent Palkia/Dialga, darkrai (Lord of nightmare?!!!), GIRATINA (the fu-) and plenty others?!

...GOD?!

Pfffhehehe, it's just funny to think of the reaction the Poke-world could have to these XD. (Legend AU)

Yeah! They completed the pokedex and helped Laventon get the ball rolling in his research since everything got derailed thanks to a certain someone. I don't think they'd bring the legendaries back with them since like, they're literal gods who are worshipped. They captured them but they still do what they want, like showing up to work on the farm randomly or appearing to Kieran in dreams like they're the Virgin Mary descending to bestow a prophecy and its just Palkia or whoever wanting some attention. Kieran feels very bad for Giritina, and projects a bit on it like they did with Ogerpon, but I genuinely think Kieran is just a very empathetic kid.

The clans worship their specific pokemon like gods with carved figures in their homes that they make daily offering too. At some point Kieran makes one for Giritina and puts little hats on it when it gets cold and leaves berries and treats as an offering. Maybe the big baddie of the Distortion World is that way because nobody ever gave it a hug or tucked it into bed we dont know!

Kieran and Dawn in the future: maybe the real gods of creation are the friends we made along the way

I think there'd be pockets of people descended from the clans in modern Sinnoh who still worship Palkia or Dialga in their homes. Cynthia's family grew up with the church of arceus (and we all know why) but she loves theology and has so many questions because surely that one photo of the Big Three frolicing on a farm is some Ancient Alien level hoax and Kieran is just like: on no they just really like soybeans. I think they were competing to see whose plot got the highest yield.

Diamond and Pearl still happened so Dawn has current "ownership" of the Sinnoh legendaries but they have zero sense of time on a human scale so they'd be stoked to see their buddy Akari again but. But like, morally and ethically can you bring god to a pokemon battle? They'd probably enjoy battling for fun on the occasion but they're not normal pokemon and can't be treated as such. Im my mind there's a parctice of every generation or so since pokeballs became a thing, someone has to catch whichever legendary to keep it safe from your average nutjob drying to take over the world. Pokeballs are technology they're not forever and after a while they degrade and stop functioning. Or at least in my mind that's how it works. It would likely make sense to like. Just bury a legendary's pokeball somewhere and let it live its best life while there's ensurance for like 30 years some rando can't catch it.

Sorry this went on a tangent about my thoughts on religion in the pokemon world, but I see the Legendaries as being too Other and beyond our understanding to stick around on someone's team. I consider the various protagonists who catch them have gained their favor so they will pop in during their lifetime to visit because humans and pokemon need eachother to get stronger. Legendaries imo are just different in that they need exposure to that humanity to keep them grounded and present mentally. They have PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS, but itty bitty understanding of humanity, or like, the pokemon equivalent of it.

So yea Kieran doesnt bring any legendaries back with them but they'll still ask to see them occasionally to see if they're doing ok.

Hi! So... Am I the only one who thinks Jikook haven't been living under the same roof for quite a while now? I feel like some people, esp Jikookers, don't even want to see it as a possibility, but if we don't want to start acting like a cult we need to start developing some critical thinking (which I think is healthy and needs to be done) Also, I've seen a lot of people say "JK is having a hard time, imagine not spending every second with your partner like you used to bc of his crazy schedule" and tbh, I was thinking just like that at first, but now? Jimin is busy, yes of course, but he clearly has time to hang out with Hobi or even going to visit Jin (which was so nice to see btw, not complaining) I honestly don't think JK and Jimin are hanging out much, actually, I dont even think they see each other often, since JK seems to be living his best introverted life and quite isolated from the rest of the boys (except Tae, which Im kind of glad, at least he is getting out of the house and having a good time) Maybe we should start considering the possibility of them just not sharing time bc they simply chose to and not bc Jimin is busy with his album. I now what they chose to share with us is just a small part of their lives, and there could be a million other possible scenarios, Im not saying Im right or wrong, just what's been on my mind lately. Im not coming here as an insecure Jikooker to seek for aproval, or with bad intentions, Im just sharing my thoughts and genuinely curious to know if anyone else thinks on a similar way. Hey! I appreciate the kind way you phrased all of this. In short, if you’ve ever read anything I’ve posted you know what I’m gonna say next: maybe that’s true and feel free to think that 🤷‍♀️

I still don’t get why the idea that they’ve chosen not to spend any time together (which we have no evidence of except for a lack of evidence the other way) is more compelling than the idea that they do in fact spend plenty of time together and just don’t share it (which we also have no evidence of except for the way they treat each other when we do see them). Both have a dearth of evidence, except one seems out of character.

Does that make sense? Like it’s perfectly possible they don’t hang. But also, they were like magnets on all the final Run BTS episodes. Not just magnets but affectionate, touchy, best-friend-or-more type magnets. But also, Jung Kook asked Jimin to come over during a recent live, while being all giggly and cheesy and excited to see him. It didn’t seem like a “it’s been so long, I’m saying this just out of an awkward sense of duty,” to me — it seemed like something that probably happens often. Jimin said something to the effect of “I’ll come after work” or something close, right? (He said many other things too but that was the only one that correlated directly to hanging out other than the one where he expressed desire to tie back JK’s hair which could be innocuous or could be something he does when they hang out, who knows?). But also, JK told his boxing instructor that JM would come soon, but also JM talked to that same instructor like he knew him well, and likely has gone with JK to lessons in the past. But also, it really hasn’t been that long since JK’s weirdly sexual/teasing birthday video for Jimin and now several members have had birthdays pass and nobody else got that treatment. But also… the list goes on, I’m sure there’s more but my coffee’s getting cold.

So, I can’t speak for all Jikookers because we are in fact not a cult, so there aren’t established patterns of belief that we all must adhere to. You think maybe they’ve stopped hanging out cause they haven’t shared it with you. Cool. Many others, myself included, think it’s unlikely that you would abruptly stop hanging out with someone who clearly means so much to you while still continuing to treat said person in a loving, flirty, domestic manner. They don’t act like exes, not even a little bit, so we have no reason to think they are. I think it seems much more in character for them to be preserving the final shreds of privacy they have to protect the relationship that means more to them than the other ones; or at least means something different.

Idk, but if you actually believed them to be dating at any point, or even just as close of friends as they appear, regardless of dating, think of how that would look if they suddenly stopped speaking.

Remember when Tae and JK did kinda stop hanging out? Remember how it was kind of obvious through their interactions that they weren’t as close, and then they full on addressed it in that conversation and talked about how they needed to put more effort into their friendship (which kudos to them, like you said, seems like they are). If anything, Jimin and JK’s relationship over the years has seemed even more close and symbiotic than almost any other friendship in the group except maybe vmin. So I would think if that was crumbling away, we’d see a lot more in their interactions than giggly, sweet, heart eyes and “eat well my baby” comments.
