I actually hate collector shops.
#either they are super stuffy#or have an uncomfortable chill#im shopping with my SO for Christmas#i dont think i can stand being in places like this for awhile#not that i dont think collecting is cool#the space feel very misogynistic#i am very female presenting and it makes me uncomfortable cause the people in here act like i know nothing about collecting or the fandoms#rambling into the void#ugh#i swear#does my pokemon card and game collection mean nothing?

I think the one most egregious thing about AI that I don't see talked about is it's use to make black and brown folk in "art" geared towards us. I mean things like say wanting a black-themed calendar or black themed graphic tees or what have you that feature black and brown folk. We have minimal representation in media as it is and in the art space, and the fact that I'm now seeing that void filled with AI generated slop is such a slap to the face. Are we not good enough for you to fucking learn and draw by hand or to employ black and brown artists who would happily draw for you? We know the answer, but this shows we're not good enough to be employed to fill a gap in the market and people would much rather have AI garbage than to either A. learn to draw black people yourselves to create stuff for us, or B. employ black and brown folk to make content by and for us.

starting to kind of date someone right before christmas is so stressful fr. do i get him a gift or what we've been on two dates but i'm seeing him tonight n it's christmas eve.....but what if he didn't get me anything then it will be weird.....

No one asked for more on my owls but I'm giving you more
So, as I do with all my characters, I base parts of them off myself. With these three, I took various parts and my emotions at the time and turned them up to eleven lol.
Belle got my disabilities, Astana got my anger, and Kiev got my aesthetic and my fear/anxiety/paranoia from the harasser/stalker former friend that I now despise.
Plus as a fun lil thing, Belle's cane is very much a mixed design of mine and Mr.Gold's in Once Upon A Time! Astana also have references to my sister lol. Kiev is essentially me but plus plus and also interacts with Nick, my Sona, so basically myself interacting with myself but different parts of me lol
As is a lot of characters I write
Like half the ones that look similar are based on me at various points in my life. They kinda keep their initial stuff depending on when I pick them back up, but Percy and Charcoal are a good example of me at different points lol. Percy was created roughly 2021-22 where I was still in highschool and thought angsty edgy assassins were cool and I was just starting to get on my whole bird people thing. Charcoal is design wise based on current me with personality stuff from older characters and bits of myself.
#I'm gonna go back and watch OUAT again#I like that show#it's comfy#and brain isn't exactly functioning on all cylinders 'cause of stress from work so a comfy show is nice#doesn't require much brain power#of which I don't have much of anyways rn#yay chronic pain#yay stress#yay having only so much motivation in a day and that being spent on Christmas shopping I had to do#I still have laundry to get done#its double this week 'cause i only did half of it last week#whatever i dont get done today im gonna work on on saturday#'cause everyone else is busy saturday giving me a free pass to stay home and not socialize#can you tell my battery is VERY drained?

i think one thing that amazes me with how you write is how you capture lighthearted moments and more emotional moments. like... in the duke blade fic i was teehee-ing at reader's inner monologues and kicking blade's corpse and then sniffling sobbing at the end with the moment shared between them... and also throwback to "how to woo the acting grand sage 101" and "of lattes and dozing generals" because the way you showed the bonds alhaitham and jing yuan have with reader in both of the fics was so stunning it's still on my mind 😭
just wanted to say i love you and your writing so much i genuinely drop everything when you post just to read them 😩

so a pretty awesome thing i get to have is my art in a local coffee shop to sell. and its been going. so well. to say the very least in this first a-little-over two weeks.
i dont think 2021 dropping-out-of-art-school-bc-its-killing-them andi would believe what we've done here in 2024
