im gonna be so honest this if is top tier in terms of chemistry and relationships with other ros because i find myself struggling with who to romance bc i love how easy the chemistry is with a lot of the ros and the merc?? its written so well i love seeing my merc interact with everyone, i love the back and forth, the banter? i cant explain it but the chemistry you write between the merc and everyone really makes it so enjoyable to read even when im not romancing other ros

like, did y'all collectively sleep through "it's-a me, mario!", "i meant besides vaginas", ezio inventing the latte, bartolomeo's... just... *gestures vaguely* entire character, etc?

like, it's fine to have preferences of course, i myself prefer a more serious and grounded tone, but these are usually the same people who tout the ezio trilogy as "peak assassin's creed", call ac1 a glorified tech demo and hate on connor for being "too serious and boring", like? make it make sense!

Of Course, please accept these assorted ramblings about the silly orange dude who lives rent-free in the hoarder-esq apartment that is my brain.

So circa worms beginning he is 16-ish, Faultline having yoinked him out of the sewers around a year or two prior and whilst Alexandrias interlude muddies things with him in terms of timeline and age a little, he is Designated Teenager at the end of the day. (Ill cut wildbow some slack on that part, Newter is one background character in a billion of em and Timelines are clearly not his strong suit.)

(What I will not accept is Wildbow claiming Newters natrual hair colour to be strawberry blonde. He is not fucking blonde. I will die on this hill.)

So that mix of being a teenager and the nature of being a case 53, an identity-less husk with nothing outside of a non-human appearance to base your sense of self off of- I believe that Newter based a non-insignificant chunk of himself off of the nightclub (though i doubt he is aware of it). A product of his home environment so to speak, becoming The Party Animal: The neon, the attitude, the way he views and enables his power for recreational use. And, y'know, being a walking lsd strip.

Chill, social butterfly, generally amicable person to be around- for all his extroverted whims I think he's very select when it comes offering friendship and even pickier when it comes to trust. Ride or die for Faultline, naturally, but i think out of the entire crew hes particularly close to Gregor (the original two ect ect) and Spitfire (more headcanony, but teenage solidarity).

And for a take thats 100% based off of vibes: Aromantic

Just binged all of shadow and bone and im just gonna say i loved it yes its different to the books but honestly the characterisation the relationships the pacing how intense it was so good i loved it the ending for alina and mal worked so well like i know theyve changed the crows plotline but i think itll still work with the ice court heist plus jurda parem and facing jan van eck storylines and theyve built up and established the characters relations really well for that and honestly i just want to say well done for the writers for working that much plot and backstory and character developments into 8 episodes and the way they weaved the soc and sab stories together is impressive like i know i couldnt have looked at all the books and fit it into a few hours

For a Few Dollars More is my least favorite of The Dollars Trilogy but your posts are single-handedly going to make me rewatch it one of these days to see if I need to reassess my ranking.

honestly, all the films in the dollars trilogy are solid. but i find For a Few Dollars More to be the most rewatchable of the set, primarily because it commits the hardest to TMWNN's foil character.

I don't think any of the supporting characters in Fistful of Dollars are even halfway as compelling as Lee Van Cleef playing Douglas Mortimer. The chemistry Eastwood and LVC have in FaFDM isn't remotely comparable to Eastwood's interactions with, say, José Calvo as Silvanito in FoD. I think TMWNN is more fascinating when he's playing off a foil, and FaFDM delivers on that in spades. The dynamic between Manco and Mortimer is THE central focus of the movie, and I'm obsessed with it!

And aside from that, I think FaFDM is just a really Fun movie. FoD's slowburn cynicism is interesting, but FaFDM's humor and pacing makes me more willing to revisit it time and time again.

Cartoon: Transformers Prime / Robots in Disguise 2015

Characters: Smokescreen, Knock Out, and Bumblebee, with appearances from numerous other characters (even ones not featured in the cartoons)

Synopsis: An Autobot Elite Guard rookie, a Decepticon medic turned Autobot, and an Autobot scout turned warrior turned street cop - three very different bots with a wide range of stories to tell. And we are going to spend the next year exploring said stories through daily-written drabbles, be they angsty, humorous, gut-punching, or just plain odd! Who doesn’t love a challenge? (2016 to 2017)

A Simple Choice

"Shockwave, why am I here?"

"I require your assistance, doctor."

"'My assistance.' Ha! Why, then, did you find it necessary to abduct me?"

"You had joined the Autobots. Logically, I assumed you would have found it within your best interests to remain with them rather than follow me willingly."

"If that is the case, what makes you think I would ever assist you?

"You pay allegiance to whomever you feel will best serve your interests, your own survival being the main concern. With this in mind, doctor, I offer you a simple choice: assist me, or I will be forced to kill you."

Lots of Work

"We got some more busted bots incoming!"

"Oh, good," Knock Out growled, not looking up from his current patient. "For a moment there I was afraid I didn't have nearly enough work to do."

The bot whose legs he was currently repairing squirmed impatiently. "Slaggit, can't you go any faster? Some 'Cons actually wanna get some real work done."

Knock Out pulled back with a tight grin. "Oh, I can certainly wrap this up nice and quick if that's what you really want." He activated one of his buzzsaws. "After all, I agree; some 'Cons actually want to get some proper work done."

Bug Attack

Bumblebee burst into the medbay and punched out the controls.

"What the slag was that?" Knock Out snapped, jumping up from his seat.

"Insecticon," Bumblebee said quickly, barricading the door with anything he could get his servos on. "Must've come from that hive Smoke and Bulk found yesterday."

"And you're leading it here?"

"I'm hiding here!" Bumblebee retorted.

"You couldn't hide anywhere else?" Knock Out shouted. "Someplace that doesn't contain fragile medical equipment, our only cache of medical supplies, and me?"

"Look, I'd love to get into an argument with you, but right now that's the least of our problems!"

Blast From the Past

The patient had been a part of a small scouting team sent to one of Cybertron's moons. He'd been brought back by his frightened and bewildered team, strapped tightly to a stretcher.

Knock Out stopped dead when he saw the patient.

The bot writhed and struggled in his bonds, dead optics rolling wildly as he groaned and hissed hoarsely. His mouth was open unnaturally wide, in such a way that it should have been anatomically impossible, and from it came a wriggling proboscis type structure, straining to attach itself to the closest bot.

"Energon...!" he gurgled. "Energon...!"

"Well," Knock Out muttered. "That's not good."
