one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

Got an itch to play Sunless Sea again and it's always such an odd experience because. Like.

I know this game. Any other game, the level if knowledge and research I have put into this would make me a confident fucking master. And yet.

I can be reading text I've read dozens of times before and i still feel...not clueless, but absolutely off the mark. It all feels so familiar and yet I've never seen a victory condition. I've at least started pretty much every storyline but I'll still see something new each time I sink some time into it. I have a fucking JOURNAL of TRADE ROUTES and REQUIRED ITEMS and somehow that's only mildly helpful

That and the fact Fallen London's lore is so fucking batshit and honestly kind of hard to research (thr wiki's are frustratingly structured for me and the browser game is just. A bit inaccessible for me) means I can have a pretty solid understanding of what's going on in each port and what each faction is about and still ZERO FUCKING GRASP ON LITERALLY ANY PLOT

I hate the stretch lines in the front of Curly's uniform because that means the devs rushed to make a model in like a month or so and thought "They gotta at least know he has huge knockers, gotta know he's got back pain." Cause like what is the thematic importance of his tits having overhang?

What responsibility is that representing? Breast reduction? It shows an inherent greed in his character due to the excess and heshouldletmeholdone and that he clearly is blinded cause if he tries to look down his damn ladder all he's seeing is his own cleavage.

I miss drawing with people in a café and some folks mentioned they'd like to mess with my sketches themselves and that sounds cool so this is now a thing. if u play gartic phone this is basically the complement mode! but without the fucking ring noise that freaks you out right when you're getting into the flow of it

So let me see if I have this right. We have:

A headstrong grey warden, who feels strongly in his morals and convictions, who is trying his best to do right by the ages old creature/being left in his charge, who has made his peace with his early death and is determined to do his best to help those unable to help themselves before his time is up

and

A dark and brooding man, who still manages to care for and joke with his friends, that was experimented on and had his body forever altered by a Tevinter blood mage, that he has now vowed to kill, who uses these new magic abilities he doesn't want to aid his friends.

They do not trust the other because of what the other is, and are both convinced they could easily kill the other, and that they may even have to for the safety of the group.

i lowkey hate that mouthwashing has got the attention it has because now right wing grifters are getting ahold of it and defending gross people who entirely misinterpret the game without knowing the source material. the whole game has been fandomized and joked upon. i rarely see a serious discussion on it and people ARENT getting into it because of the actual game's content, but because of how watered down the current artworks makes it seem. like no. if you play the game youre gonna get hit with a story of a man who raped a girl and because he couldnt kill her he was going to kill EVERYONE, and failed, and so everyone but the captain dies in other ways because he, (the captain), failed to prevent the rapist being wreckless and having him put in charge. there is your basic uncensored summary. dont get into it because of the influx of drawings of daisuke in a thong, or the "woke crowd" reasonably getting upset seeing anya so explicitly sexualized in a game where her being sexualized is a major plot point and NOT in a good way. dont get into it because curly or jimmy or any of them are attractive. please only try out the game if you want immersive, beautiful storytelling about a heartbreaking and gruesome situation.

Played killer chat ONE TIME and now it’s four days later I have about a thousand saves, several play throughs and three reads of the Halloween story under my belt to mine speech patterns for a character I found terribly cringy and am now in love with. (In terms of cringy-edgelord-eboys not in terms of writing, he’s exceedingly well written). Anyways now I have around 5000 words of corruption based dddne ronin porn on my computer. Is this penance for my sins?
