don’t know if you’ve already talked about this but can you take us through your writing process? do you write on a computer or your phone? how do you find the motivation? do you make a plan before writing or do you just wing it? do you read/listen to anything for inspiration? how many words do you write in one sitting? how do you tackle a writing slump? 😁😁😁😁🤍

omg first of all thank you so much for your interest in my writing it really means alot agh. i do talk about my process here and here but i will gladly talk more about it because i LUV talking about writing heh.

usually my writing process begins one of two ways. i either have a concept of what i want to do that comes to me as a fleeting idea while im working on a screenplay or an assignment. sometimes i save it in my memory but sometimes i’ll write it really quick in my notes so i don’t lose it. the other way i get ideas is from the requests you guys send me! it inspires me alot, definitely a majority of my fics are from requests you guys have sent me. my favorite thing is when i can put multiple requests together to kinda curate a really good fic for you guys (and that way i get to do multiple peoples requests in one go!)

once i have the idea i usually write a bulk of it on my computer. i’m honestly a very impulsive writer when it comes to fanfiction so i used to jump around alot when i was writing. like for example i remember when i was writing argue with you part three i jumped around alot to different parts of the story and then kinda bridged the gaps. sometimes i’ll jump around to different fanfics i’m working on as well like sometimes i’ll be working on three at a time just jumping around to wherever my mind goes. i used to write straight through all the way to build my tolerance of making a linear story but now i just kinda go with whatever i feel like. i write on my phone too, but mainly when i write on my phone im tweaking stuff and editing bc i’m usually on the go when i’m on my phone. (i have edited so many fics and perfected smut scenes on public transit LMFAO)

i find the motivation to write because i love it a whole lot like it’s kind of hard to explain it but it’s like an innate part of me now to write and always wanting to write. like sometimes i can’t go to sleep until i write something whether it’s an assignment, a screenplay, a fanfic, a journal entry etc. i haven’t gone a single day without writing something in god knows how long. so i’ve never been too much in a writing slump, usually i just read where i left off and let my mind run from there. i find motivation also in reading books and other authors work. i don’t usually listen to music when i’m writing, unless it’s a request or i hear a song that reminds me of a member and an idea comes from that.

i truthfully wing most of the fics i write on here especially if it’s a request i kinda just go with a vibe and follow it till i eventually reach the end. i’m always driven by the same goal to kinda make it read like a reformatted screenplay to kinda transport you there. i think personally i did this the best with in the middle and should’ve told me. but sometimes i’m really driven by story and personalization of the members like i did with bike peg, your birthday, and trigger finger. i really want to become a better writer at feelings and incorporating more analogies and figurative language in my writing because i think it would take me to the next level. human like me was like a very amateur teaser of what i want to write (not as tragic of course but just very emotionally driven)

i genuinely couldn’t tell you the most i’ve ever written in one sitting. i’m gonna say 5-6k words because i wrote non-refundable in one sitting and i was also jumping around writing other stuff while i was woking on that one (i guess i can consider sungchan as a muse?)

sorry if i talked too much but i really love writing a whole bunch i could talk about it till the cows come home. if you ever want me to break down certain passages or excerpts in my fic and how i came up with it i would love to do that so freaking much you have no idea. once again thank you for asking and having an interest in my writing process :D

really rambly post regarding bw fics merry christmas

i got into bloodweave when there was only 20ish fics, constantly refreshed the tag for every single new upload cuz there wasn't much so early in the games release. and now that it's in the 800s (including ot3/polyship content which i usually exclude in my own searches) it's nice that i can be picky! cuz i AM very picky!

but also kinda sad that i can't keep up w the constant uploads as much as i was able to abt 3 months ago. i still try to! but its hard ;; cuz i love this ship!! and there is so many new fics that are incredible and high quality.

it's almost w shame that anyone newly getting into this ship will probably only sort the tag by hits/kudos and miss all the other fantastic fics that are likely buried under the absolute mass of uploads, esp if ppl aren't used to excluding other ship tags.

i hate how we equate hits/kudos to how good a fic is because i have tons of bw fic recs that barely even break a couple hundred. the more 'popular' fics are great, sure, but also they were some of the only options at the time with so little uploads, of course they're going to be the reason for a lot of ppl into the ship and be ppls fave fic. but they aren't the only good fics!!!! there are fantastic fics constantly being posted!!!! you just need to keep an eye on them

i really didn't think this would be the most popular origin ship? (it's the most popular on ao3 right after like, 5 variants of astarion/player character LMFAO) i honestly expected more people to like wyllach or shadowzel (which i enjoyed before bloodweave had me in a chokehold)

everyone i've met thanks to bloodweave is so incredibly sweet and talented. skilled artists and writers alike. fantastic friends.

i have been so much more creative in the past few months than i have for years. i got back into writing fanfic after over a decade! i'm getting out of my comfort zone with art! i'm making character and ship playlists again! it's so nice to embrace fandom again

but i think the fics especially matter a lot to me. the writers who i consider great friends now deserve so much recognition that they don't get enough of. i wish i could scream from the rooftops how amazing and skilled and talented and sexy my friends and their writing are

(Im gonna answer in eng since you msgd in eng but im gonna tag this w fintags in case someone has extra tips- im a super beginner in my work area so im sure there's other more compitent ppl out here who might wanna add answers etc? :0)

OK SO IM SUPER W U im like ass at anything that isnt art, like, i tried a lot of other stuff before i succumbed to doing graphic design/art as a job bc i just did so bad at everything. Which, im sure ill be doing a bunch of other stuff on the side throughout my life because IT. IS NOT EASY!!! ITS A SUPER HARD JOB TO GET WORK IN!!! I mean im on the medicore side as an artist so it might just be me but LMFAO. I dont wanna scare you off but it is tough HOWEVER. yes there are things you can do ill readmore this tho

I think the easiest to get into IS like. private commission work. The usual "drawing ocs or fandom stuff" for people. It requires a lot of self marketing- building a platform, making your art a desirable object. Im planning personally 2 open comms again after my current gig is done, and ive been hearing good stuff about the small business options osuuspankki offers- re: being able to do the billing via paypal &helping w the taxing which makes overseas work a LOT easier to figure out. I cant swear on them personally tho since i have not used their services before, but i can give more info in abt a month when Im planning on looking into them more! So. Online market yourself. (you can ask further on this but this post would be too long if i get into that, also im not like a master of this), commission work. PRICE YOUR STUFF RIGHT, Look into how long it takes you to make your pieces and create an approx. price based on your hours spent working. And then price higher.

As for a lot of the stuff i do&post about here. I personally DID start w education, which, i am incredibly lucky I could. I studied graphic design/illustration in Ikaalinen, its a really great school which i can recommend if that is an option for you. I could talk abt it more but I think the main things i got from that education was a) making connections b) learning how printing works which is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. If you want to work in book illustrations which i have done, I recommend looking into the technical aspects of printing on your own. You can learn it online definetly. As for connections, thats a little tougher, but really anything beyond for me has been. Just making a portfolio & CV and emailing and asking for work. Its tedious and annoying but yeah.. Other options im aware of for illustration work is like. in advertizing (though its kinda rare to do ILLUSTRATION), game companies (theres a lot of other stuff you need 2 learn there tho)... Ik some ppl sell their illustrated products eg. stickers, prints etc, but idk anything abt that section. In finland its rly tough bc you rly dont. I like got curious and just googled "kuvitus töitä" and yeah theres just Nothing. It is abt looking for where illustrations could be (looking for small book publishers, looking for childrens books writers specifically and reaching out to them, etc etc) and reaching out and being a pushy bitch its AWFUL its my least favourite part of this job but it is. Yeah..

omg this is serious loree. so ive been reading ff for a good few years and so do two of my irl friends (the only ppl who know i read ff in this day and age irl) and we were all in the harry potter fandom. then we were like, we should make our own JOKE fanfic, and we're were like planning it all out for fun w y/n and shit and then we actually wrote it😭 it has four chapters and it's on wattpad but it's the most insane cliché shit and probably the funniest thing I've ever done LMFAOO

and then months and months after that i tried to do my own little things but they were all terrible. but then jan 2023 i started like seriously writing. the first proper fic (multichap) i tried to do kinda crashed and burned and the other ones never made it past a few thousand words. the writing was good i just dk how to make a story😭 anyway then in september i wrote a full hp one shot even though im not in the fandom anymore?? tried to reform my multichap and wrote a few more chapters then was like wait, this still isn't working (for plot reasons).

i do actually really really like Ray Chase as kara but the way that Nakamura pitches his voice down for him and then when something karamatsu isnt like. prepared for or whatever happens he goes back up into his regular vocal range or sometimes a bit higher really adds to karamatsu's whole. everything HJGKHFJGH LIKE his whole identity pretty much IS performance so even his voice being part of his front is so fun to me, Ray Chase's voice feels so naturally deep and smooth that its like. his voice is Too Cool for kara yknow like his voice being Actually cool? karamatsu fucking wishes JHKGJFGHD BUT i do think he is one of the better choices that the casting directors made compared to the rest of the brothers

(AGAIN NOT SHITTING ON THESE EXTREMELY PROLIFIC AND TALENTED VA'S this is just my opinion of them as the ososan characters)

Kyle McCarley as Ichimatsu i honestly havent seen much of his performance but god did he put is whole pussy into the one episode where he INSISTS they have to respect each other, hes honestly really really good at maintaining the monotone voice while also conveying a lot of emotion through his voice its pretty impressive that he can do the yellingscreaming while keeping that up, Fukuyama Jun's like. jump from monotone to YEEEAAGHHK when ichimatsu is At His Limit is really really funny so i think that these two are pretty much on par with each other while putting their own spin on how the character . i dont know. expresses himself i guess. poggers :thumbs up emoji i cant use cus im typing on desktop:

SORRY this got long but i probably was never gonna be happy with the dub, im not gonna get too much into the writing in the localisation but ough. it is Just a comedy show to the dub writers and i can respect that, but the show means a lot to people Because of the characters and how they clearly run deeper than they appear thats a huge part of the appeal for ososan imo and i feel like a lot was lost in the translation. But! it can be pretty funny sometimes and thats all it rlly needs to be, funny haha penis anime

I have come back from writers block with another fun MHA AU (its not really too serious, this is all just for fun :) )

What if MHA characters were Strawberry Shortcake Characters (I would add pics, but Tumblr is being quite stupid so… feel free to google them, but I mostly got their personalities from the 2003 series, and I imagine that thats what their clothes would look like if they were in Strawberry Shortcake)

Deku: Strawberry Shortcake (Pretty Self Explanatory. Main character, One of the sweetest people you will ever meet).

Eri: Apple Dumpling (The little sister and liitle kid of the group. Also kinda self explanatory!)

Sero: Orange Blossom (I love Sero, I love Orange Blossom, perfect fit. Also its cannon that Sero likes Oranges!)

Momo: Peach Blush (“Momo” is the Japanese word for “peach”. In addition, her wiki says that “Peach is a delicate, generally nice and always polite southern bell. She can be a drama-queen sometimes and worries over the really simple things from time to time, even if nobody else has just yet.” Sounds like Momo!)

Bakugou: Pepermint Fizz (Peppermint and Bakugou are literally the same person lmfao. No but seriously, they share so many similarities, like their jealous and aggressive attitudes (especially to the main character), thats why I put them together)

Mic: Cherry Jam (Cherry Jam is the musician of the group, which to me fits Mic’s whole schtick)

Jirou: Ginger Snap (I could have made Jirou Cherry Jam, but she just fits Ginger Snap so much more, since they are the tomboys of their respective groups)

Shirakumo: Blueberry Muffin (Blueberry Muffin’s wiki says “Blueberry always tries to keep her friends in line and is almost always the first to admit her mistakes. Blueberry brings her sense and level-headedness to the group and really cares for her friends. That love for her friends helps her to be humble and modest and tells her that her friends mean more than anything to her.” That reminds me of Shirakumo very much)

Mount Lady: Lime Light (They act the same, and even had the same character development in their respective arcs. They also just look the same lmao).

Kamui Woods: Lime Chiffon (The wiki says she was the bubbly and kinda ditzy one, which kinda fits I think, but I just chose this for Kamui because he and Mount Lady could share the lime motif lmao)

Jeanist: Raspberry Torte (The wiki says Raspberry is “sarcastic and easily annoyed” in the 2003 version, and the 2009 version makes her a fashionista, so it kinda fits!)

Edgeshot: Lemon Meringue (Lemon’s wiki says “She is kind and caring to her friends and she always tries to work as hard as she can to make others happy”. She likes to chat and knows a bit of gossip, but she does never usually trifle with in anything that could hurt the feelings of someone else” which I think fits Edgeshot really well!)

Nighteye: Plum Puddin’ (Wiki says Plum Puddin’ is a prankster and loves to laugh. Need I say more :) )

Some extra notes:

- i couldn’t fit Aizawa, Midnight, All Might anywhere and Im so sad 😭

Raspberry Torte and Lemon Meringue are usually paired together in the series. They debuted together, and in the show they are best friends.

I wanted to share this quote from the wiki: “They used to live somewhere else until they moved to Strawberryland [Referring to Raspberry and Lemon]. They are often seen sitting together, or walking together and holding hands.” If this fact doesn’t fulfill my love for Egdejeanist I dont know what does.

Eren is like what?? meanwhile Mikasa is describing how he'll meet the love of his life TODAY outside the shop, and she looks a LOT like the fortune teller hiding behind the mask right down to the length of her hair and the cute little blue satin skirt she's wearing 😂😂 Eren is playing along tho and Mikasa kinda fucks up their introduction, walking by the store too earli instead of 'running' into him like she predicted and she's cursing herself about to go back into the shop but Eren literlaly TURNS around to run into her bc he's so extra and cute, like thats his girl, better go get her.

I think people have forgotten that writing in a fantasy setting doesn't mean you condone certain things. Like GoT writers for instance, get shit on so HARD for certain characters and like... Idk... whats going on in YOUR head? But it is ENTIERLY POSSIBLE to like a character and EVEN WRITE THEM PERFECTLY and not have any interests at ALL to do what they do to/with other ppl. This goes for like... all triggering topics. Idk what happened where someone said "well if you will write it it obviously means youd do it irl" and then everyone just kinda murmured in agreement? But it's not true kiddo. I've written some INCREDIBLY DARK VIOLENT THINGS and guess what? lmfao Im a pacifist irl. I rarely get physically violent ever. Which kinda messes up your formula I think. I know tons of people through my RP career that write some fucked up shit bc their character is fucked up, but IRL they're the sweetest people that would never do any of that shit.

So to the ppl that say shit like "Oh whats it say about you as a person that you'd write X, Y, and Z??" It says their a writer babe. It says they'll explore dark subjects. It's ok, you don't have to write them. Their existence doesn't have to over lap with yours, just block. This is kinda mun verses muse part two but I wanted to say it sdfnsfg Edit: ALSO sometimes ppl write things that are fucked up to work through trauma, and you have zero right to judge people for that. Mkay? Cool.

Sorry if this is unprompted but no he wouldn't do or say that cause in the first place he wouldn't want to engage idk my two cents from been in this the fandom a long time pinning who shadow is really difficult especially to his fans because there's a lot a misiformation of what canon is(personally just the games to me) and their preference or flavor of shadow, but that doesn't mean that is him idk he's not my fav but if i would try to pin him down maybe, he's an especific tone of neutral, the comics and shows make a kinda mean he's not in the games, it's like a different note with a filter that wasn't there. He is a sweetheart he's introverted, neutral, indifferent with some air of drama in sa2. Those are just my to cents but the shadow from the gameplays(in JP) is not the one people talk about, just imo im very picky and selective with characterization cuz i love all that, sorry for my english.

in a series like sonic where lots of different writers handle stories and characters theres inevitably going to be some disagreement. and maybe i worded that post poorly bc i was going for a more comedic tone, anyway. either way i always like hearing opinions from people, not unprompted at all :)

i personally do think ppl sand down a lot of the flaws that make shadow interesting to me

(for example, lots of fanon tends to ignore the arrogant/dismissive aspect of his whole "im the ultimate lifeform" thing when i think its a huge part of his character, and understanding his disconnection from other people really really informs the way i like him to be written. it was part of his arc in sa2 that he learned it wasnt a wholly accurate view of the world, but the ending of that game confirms he still sees everything through that lens. he never completely sheds this, mostly bc the series has kind of hard reset all the development displayed in 06, but nothing really draws attention to this and the characters act like theyve always known him to be this way. so while i do think he still has issues with this, i can understand why fans looking to sa2 exclusively would believe this an arc already completed)

he definitely doesn't try to be mean, i do agree with u that hes mostly introverted/reserved as opposed to cold. and i dont think he would ever be malicious when it comes to people's emotions or pain. but i also think he has a very tinted worldview towards what an appropriate and sensible reaction to distress is, and that combined with his general prioritization of efficacy in regards to most things affects the way he'd comfort someone else (in this case very poorly).

its fine to be picky with characterization. i would be a huge hypocrite if i judged u for it, lmfao. cheers nonnie <3
