Hello Hello! Welcome to my first ever post on tumblr that just had to be about my ultimate top tier favorite visual novel of all time..Our Life: Beginnings & Always or OL:BA for short.

This game has such a special place in my heart that im afraid I’ll forever be attached to it because at this point it’s not even a phase anymore lol. I still remember that heated summer day of scrolling down on my steam shop out of boredom and i kept getting recommended OL:BA but back then i really couldn’t care less and would not even spare a glance on it until i got so fed up of it popping up in my recommended for the next few days that i decided to finally check it out.

Reading what it was about made me curious but what really got me downloading it was because of the customization of our character/characters.

And finally into the game i was! I remember when the story started, i was very surprised already by the environment, narrative and world building of the game. It truly felt like i was part of it and i didn’t get bored at all. In fact right from the start i was hooked already!

I loved ALL of the characters that was introduced, i love the fact that it was SO multiple choice that it felt like you were really integrating yourself/oc onto the game and that you’re not just forced to say the same thing as a different choice or feel as though your options are limited. Its definitely a game that you’re supposed to replay over and over because its just that fun!!

And as someone who has never had a great childhood and adolescence, absentee parent, chaotic household, unsupportive friends, want to be understood (you know…this and that) i was so happy that this game was doing that and it genuinely gave me hope to live despite going through the darkest of times in my life :)

This game has changed me into a better person and made me want to be the best version of myself that i want to be in the future! I will infinitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have a feel good game/read (+1 it will make you cry!!)

one thing i noticed about our life is it lacks certain angst aspects when the baxter dlc didn’t exist YET back then. like i LOVED the fight between mc and cove in mcs room and i wanted it to escalate more ngl just cuz i LIVE for angst! but if you want to get real hurt you should choose baxter. this playlist focuses more on the last step of his dlc and its full of taylor swift songs.

favorite line Ok so if youve been here for a while, she once was really mad at Raveri, the other Raveri, and wrote a whole rant about him. That was funny I liked that. I also liked the time she was talking about the horrorterrors and drew one of them with her text.

brOTP Uhhhhhh I still dont really get this im ngl. An otp but platonic, so either a qppr or like... just being good friends? buddies? Well that'd've probably also been old Raveri. They were sopor chess buddies. They did sopor slime and played chess.

OTP Uh... Hm... Yknow, again, I don't really ship Perpep. I guess her alt!self Oftcas has an 'otp' with (B!)Detheo. Their wierd fuckin biuniversal asses. Postgame she has a pitch thing going on with Somati, but her whole situation makes it kind of... I think her intimacy is pretty heavily wounded. Yknow... from being a human pet. Being without a relationship after so long of it being the default is hard though. Something that happens during the game that makes this part easier, but she does feel it really intensely. It's why she gets with Somati actually. Its technically pitch and she thinks of it that way even if it resembles a pale relationship a little more because of how Perpep is. It's not entirely NOT pale on somati's part, but it is pitch. Not the angry kind of pitch though, the like... theyre two individually really chill people who start fucking with shit to compete when theyre together. Mentos and coke ship.

nOTP Shrugs. You'd probably think I'd say Perpep and her culler, but thats narratively interesting to me. Uhhh I guess she would be really bad with Alpha Detheo. Like they wouldn't mix at all and their preconceptions about the other would clash so bad i think they might just kind of avoid eachother a little bit. Curiosity on both sides, with fear twinging Perpep's and logical guilt on Detheo's. Logical guilt being like... not guilt guilt but like. Ah a version of me hurt this person in a very sick way. This has added a level of morality to my self image that is troubling and I will have to consider deeply what went wrong in my other life to ensure something like that does not happen in this one. Also I should stay away from Perpep because she definitely doesn't want any more Detheo in her life. (Not entirely wrong on that last count but not right either)

random headcanon Perpep is the cuddliest motherfucker on the planet. During her session, about from the Entering when she loses track of Cinimon to her death during the Among Us conference between her, Miyers, Respit, and Sphinx, she's really fucking nervous and crabby because of touch starvation. Thats actually part of why she throws so much shade during that little meeting. She's not got a lot of emotional skill, so when she feels negatively, those emotions leech into her other emotions like dye in water. She has a hard time distinguishing between different stressors almost. Like if her emotional state was a body, and her stress was caused by a horsefly biting her on one side, she would project the same anger in every direction. She's new to this, yk.

disclaimer: these are based completely off of memory bc my ocs are always stuck in my head, so i might have to update this "masterlist" every now and then

‼️‼️ i also discuss major spoilers for "Stardusters: Children of the Celestials" aka SCOTC if anyone has been reading that 💀

all of my ocs are contained in the same universe (literally) but a decent chunk of them are on seperate planets with different dynamics, etc. and yes of course you can ask questions, please do, i want to flesh out some more of my ocs

here are their respective groups that each of them are in (none of which have names except for group 2). this does NOT mean that their stories will collide or theyre aware of their existence, it's just where theyre located

as for art, i have rendered art of them on my Instagram (i still want this blog to be strictly sketches and writing shit im ngl)

Group 1: MZ, Vivinae, Claire, Luith Family (Lisa [formerly Lisa Dianthus], Symon, Sinamon, Sinabon)

Group 2 (Stardusters): Sevi Methuselah, Reese Ara, Sneden Newt, Cassiopeia (aka The Ghost), Methuselah, Gliese (DISCLAIMER: these are my Starduster ocs, minus Gliese, which means they aren't mortal in a sense — I'll explain later — but they don't actually have a planet)

Group 3: Mocha, Cupid, Bun (very minor, but i like how homey and slice of life this one is)

i do have more ocs than this (a lot more), but they're kinda irrelevant to my current interests. i also have fandom ocs bc i was really bored lmfao

and i have some really brief lore abt my sona that i'll tack on the end of everything here!

GROUP 1:

Let's start with the wholesome side of this group - The Luith Family!

On this planet, there are vampires and humans. Vampires here are a subspecies of humans that use blood (any blood) to help enhance their senses. In the modern times, vampires consume blood like coffee or as a sign of affection. When consuming blood as a sign of affection, it's reserved for family or lovers (humans and vampires alike)

For family, both the mother and father provide blood to younger vampires (for nutrition) or shared between siblings. This is usually shared through the hands and arms.

For lovers, the sharing location varies. The neck is a popular choice.

When consuming blood for other purposes, they use non-human/non-vampire blood.

Vampires have secluded themselves away from humans after the first vampires killed a whole village under a state of bloodlust, and over time have formed their own cultures. They mirror human culture in a way, but sometime during the 1500s, they started banning human made books, finally and truly secluding themselves from humans. Yes, I did in fact let them have a lifespan of ~500 years. Also, they were a part of the Salem Witch Trials, when some younger vampires had decided to try and sneak out to explore the reason why they couldn't interact with humans.

Onto the characters themselves, the Luith family is a noble family that appeared in the years 1600-1700. They were tasked with noting the history of vampires. They had a family working under them — the Dianthus family — and they tasked them to go and collect as much information as they could before handing it over.

This relationship was strictly business, but Symon (15 at the time, born in 1859) — the Luith's youngest — spotted Lisa Dianthus (16 at the time, born 1858) reading one of the books from their library. It was an old human book about flowers, which she shouldn't have had, so Symon decided to talk to her. Lisa really likes flowers and stuff, so she ended up yapping for a while. They had these little hangouts like every week and they became friends, then obv they fell in love a couple years later and Symon asked to marry her. They got married during the spring of 1878 and moved to the US in 1900s. Then they had the twins, Sinamon and Sinabon in winter of 2003. Also, this story takes place in 2021 bc that's when i had made these ocs lmfaoo

Anyways, because Lisa really likes flowers, she made a perfume company and so the family is like rich rich now. (The kids' names are based off the scent of Lisa's favorite flower — night-scented stock) Symon now works as a librarian, and they have a private library that has books from the 1700s at their home. The twins were homeschooled and were taught a decently accurate history of vampires and humans alike.

This story is meant to be slice of life, so there's not too much mentions of the darker aspects of the world regarding vampires. The twins are the main characters in this story, so we get to see them grapple with romance (they're both in relationships). Sinamon, she's the more proactive and social twin, pretty into fashion and design. She drags Sinabon out of the house. Sinabon, he's the goofy ahh streamer (his user is c1nnabonni) and he's got a pet frog named Steven. Sinabon also likes collecting plushies and figurines.

Also, Symon and Lisa do this thing every now and then where Lisa picks out Symon's favorite books, and Symon makes Lisa a cup of coffee with some of his blood. They do this without the other asking and on seemingly random times, but it's always at an exact time of the day.

Onto the other characters of this group: MZ, Vivinae, and Claire (will mention their AU here, but no spoilers if u were reading it lol)

These characters are unaware of vampires and their story takes place much later than the Luith's story. Lisa and Symon are close to death, and the twins are running the business now, with much better tech. Ages for each are as follows — MZ- 23, Vivinae- 22, Claire- 35. The main character of this story is MZ.

Here's her backstory ✨summarized✨

She gets lost in Chicago (random ass location i chose) at the age of 6 bc her family went there for vacation. She's gradually forgotten her actual name, only remembering her first and middle name initial (real name is Margaret Zenith Baxter). MZ survived off of stealing and running away from people. However, as she got older, she decided to start trying to find a way to get money. After a brief incident where she almost got kidnapped, she killed the captor and realized she kinda liked killing people. Then she thought, "oh wow i could do this for a lot of money!" Then she made a bunny mask for herself to hide her face. One day, when she had finished one of her first jobs, she got pretty injured and passed out in a quiet street. Coincidentally, it was outside Claire's Shop. Claire is an ex-paramedic who retired to sell random vintage items she's collected. As MZ was going in and out of consciousness, she asked Claire to NOT take her to the hospital (because she literally just killed some dude for money). Claire was hesitant to listen, but MZ would keep refusing help if Claire insisted to go to the hospital. MZ gets all patched up, mask still on bc she's attached to it and still doesn't trust Claire, and she leaves. After many "jobs" MZ keeps coming back to Claire to get patched up and they start a medic-murderer relationship. Claire is practically a mother to MZ atp.

As for meeting Vivinae, they met at a coffee shop. Vivinae is a decently popular model, so with some quick research, MZ found out who she was. MZ does choose to ignore the modeling thing as they both got things to hide. They're a really awkward couple when they figure out they like each other. (They haven't even kissed yet lolol) MZ's really hesitant to even hold Vivinae's hand.

For the AU, both of them are murderers for hire and both of them are also models! They don't know the other is their partner for modeling bc they only know each other as their code names. MZ → Bunny. Vivinae → Rabbit. If you've read my "shitty" crossover fic, then you might've noticed that Vivinae is the sniper and MZ is the close-range fighter. Vivinae sucks ass at fighting close range, so MZ does her best to prevent anyone from getting close and to finding her hiding spot.

Oki back to canon: MZ will die. Specifically in her mid-40s. She is the one to die bc the nature of her job. This couple never gets past simple dates, hesitant hand holding, and very passive "i love you"s. MZ dies while she's running from cops after killing a high-ranking official for $1 million. Of course she took it and completed the job, but now she's running and oh- she got shot and died. Cornered and no where to go, MZ decides to just die than find herself arrested and she chose to die in the action than to die by falling off the building — something she deemed anticlimactic when she first became a hitman. This is all over the news, and Vivinae recognizes MZ's face plastered all over the news and breaks at the sight of her lover's death being talked about. Claire remains in the obscurities of the city, never once announcing her association with MZ. She only goes to her grave years later when everything is eventually brushed over. MZ's biological parents and family never claim to know her — distant as they had been when MZ got lost all those years ago.

Group 2:

The Stardusters, one space-faring human, and Methuselah. There's a lot to unpack here. Again, warning for major spoilers, as in VERY MAJOR for SCOTC (Stardusters: Children of the Celestials). You have been warned ‼️

and also there's LOT of world building for this one. very heavy in content. But there is a section where there are no spoilers, just some design notes about the characters in this group :3

Alright. Where to begin... Let's start off with world building. There's a hierarchy, but they're actually just slightly different iterations of each other.

Planck: it's the creator of the universe, but no one is aware of it, not even the Upper Council. It doesn't have a form. (More explanation below in Timeline of the Universe)

Mother Stars (divided into Upper and Counter Council): Creators of the Stardusters and the Upper Council are the oldest stars, the ones who are carrying out a mission.

Stardusters: Direct creations of the Mother Stars. They were actively made and there's 1 Starduster per Mother Star.

Rogues: Remnants of long dead stars. The last stardust and evidence for a Mother Star. They have no recollection of being from a Mother Star and most are in blissful ignorance that they are from the stars.

Each Starduster has been assigned a "mission" by their Mother Star. It's a vague thing that the Stardusters have to interpret on their own. Rogues do not have these as they have no memories of their Mother Star.

Moving onto the characters themselves, they all have their motives, which is intertwined with their "mission". This arbitrary mission serves no purpose other than to get the Stardusters to explore and collect the differences of the universe compared to previous iterations. I will not discuss the motives for each Starduster bc spoilers ! Also, this post just covers the worldbuilding rather than characters.

Stardusters can shapeshift into various forms — eldritch beings, humans, animals, anything that is alive. Why? Because I said so and I didn't think things through‼️ Because I took the logic that light can be pretty different colors and star radiation has stuff we can't see and said "good reason to shapeshift and im too lazy to think too hard about it so I'll leave it at that". Anyways, this means that Stardusters literally do not have genders and in turn, Mother Stars do not either.

Sevi, Reese, Sneden, and Cassiopeia are the main Stardusters we are looking at. Cassiopeia is the only Rogue here btw.

Reese is the only Starduster that is "partnering" with a space-faring mortal human named Gliese. Reese can freely shapeshift into anything, and I even drew his human female form some time ago. I'll post the sketch I did recently shortly after this :3

Gliese. Oh how I need to talk about her here. She doesn't care about Reese as a person. She knows he isn't human, and the only thing she feels towards him, is curiousity. At her core, Gliese is a researcher, a morally gray one at that. She never bothers to get to know Reese on even an acquaintance level, she just uses him for research. Carefully handling Reese's Stellar Heart — seeing him bare his literal lifeline to her, just for her research. She just doesn't care about him in that way. Her research is all that matters to her.

Sneden and Cassiopeia. Those two are working together. Cassiopeia is the leading force btwn the 2 of them and is getting Sneden to work with them. Only Sneden can freely shapeshift. Rogues, like Cassiopeia have a permanent form once they choose one.

Sevi is a soloist. She does things on her own. She has become apathetic due to being the oldest Starduster, but does retain a childlike personality (she has taken the form of a female child).

TIMELINE OF THE UNIVERSE (Yes i pulled the names off of wikipedia, yes it's because i like space LEAVE ME ALONE😭😭):

Planck Epoch: Previous Reincarnation of "M" (using the alias Planck) finishes gathering materials for the Mother Stars, trying to get the basis for their old memories

Dark Ages: Previous Reincarnation of "M" provides the basis for chaos and disorder, preparing for the return of other celestial objects

Recombination Epoch: Previous Reincarnation of "M" re-combines the Mother Stars' basic features

Mother Star Council: Earliest stars form, creating nebulae and Reincarnation of "M" restores their memories, minus current "M" because it can't know about reincarnations yet.

Reionization: "M" regains its original form (around the same time Mother Star Council is formed)

Dark Matter Expansion: Mother Stars create Stardusters to collect information about the Universe. All the while, expanding their reach using dark matter.

Stelliferous Era/Age of the Stardusters: More Stardusters are created, however, the eldest Mother Stars form a separate faction (Upper Council) from the younger generation to carry out their mission for the universe, to repeat the cycle that they used to. Dark matter is used to keep expanding the universe.

Ultimate Fate: this will be a secret for now

There are some people that end up worshiping the Stardusters because some of them (because there's like billions of them) use their powers for their own gain because what else can they do? There are various cults, so many cults that surround a single Starduster on various planets. Now remember there are billions of Stardusters. Cults for everyone!

Also have brief explanation for Celestial Weapons and Stellar Hearts:

Stellar Hearts: Cracked yellow-white orb (See my Insta for a drawing of it and everything else). Very hot, like a star's core, so in Gliese's case, she wears very heavy duty gloves made specifically for handling Reese's Heart. Placed within a Starduster in a ♦ shape on their chest. Stardusters say it's a tattoo if anyone asks. This allows them to freely change forms and literally keeps them alive.

Celestial Weapons: All a Starduster or Rogue needs to do to summon their Celestial Weapon, is to place a hand over their chest, let their hand sink into the fake tattoo and take the largest shard of their Heart out. Weapons range from scythes to machine guns.

Wait!! Before you move onto the next group, I really, really want to mention how and why I named the Stardusters the way I did.

Sevi Methuselah: Sevi - I put random syllables together. Methuselah - Her Mother Star's name and the name of the oldest known star.

Reese Ara: Reese's Star. His Mother Star, aka the actual star is literally called Reese's Star. BUT I CAN'T FIND THE HECKING STAR ANYMORE LIKE DID I HALLUCINATE THIS??? But I can't change his name anymore, I'm attached. Ara- It's the constellation that his star is supposedly from. Since the star doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Sneden Newt: Sneden- similar to Reese, the star is called Sneden's Star. Newt- I picked something random/ I can't remember why I chose this 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

Cassiopeia, The Ghost: Literally based off the Ghost of Cassiopeia, located in the constellation Cassiopeia the Queen. I really have to mention that their design is based off of this specific image of the Ghost of Cassiopeia:

Group 3:

Mocha, Cupid, Bun. These are my most neglected ocs, i will admit that. No MC here, just episodic slice-of-life.

Cupid and Bun are gods. Bun is still a god in-training who snuck out during orientation, and Cupid is uh... Cupid. Cupid pretends to be a human office worker, subtly setting people up that she knows are genuinely in love with each other.

Because Cupid is the god of love, ofc she's gonna know/sense when people have genuine feelings for each other. Her human persona also likes archery and she plays the lyre. I did give her 2 other alternate names: Eros and Phanes.

Bun is a random ass god who hasn't been assigned anything yet. They went to the mortal realm bc they were sick and tired of sitting in orientation. So they're just fucking around and exploring the world to their heart's content! Bun has had multiple close encounters with Cupid, but Cupid just let's Bun do as they wish bc she doesn't want to deal with paperwork where she actually has to think.

Mocha is just a random guy im ngl. I just put him in this group bc I liked his design. He helped Bun pick out some mortal clothes to match with the times and made them some clothes as well.

Thanks for listening to me yap about my ocs!!! As promised, here's some of my sona's lore in a story-ish format:

I kinda found this... thing. It said it was a hat. It was out on the street, looked kinda pathetic. It looked pathetic but cute at the same time. It matched the color of my outfit that day, so I wore it. It fit perfectly, like I'm not joking, it was comfortable.

I didn't take it off, (I don't think I can take it off anymore) and now I have 365 sets of my outfit from that day. To match with the hat of course.

oh my god i needed the ty fic today ahhh. i’ve been waiting for it for so long and you never disappoint me wow.

i loved how raw emotions taeyong has. he’s just trying to be a good mate and a good example for his pace but feels so lost within the lack of control. it was really interesting to see this contrast between him and the rest of his pack honestly. it was nice that oc was also way more accepting than most human mates are. it hurt me honestly that she was so let down by taeyongs resistance to their bond.

1. How do you plot your writing out?

my methods are beyond mortal understanding (ok no)

i mostly plot in key scenes, something like plot saving spots. they can be Important Plot Events, or a particular conversation, or description, or thoughts. there's different sources from which all of these come to be:

natural progression of the story, duh

OH WHAT IF (and then my brain starts writing the scene on its own)

i drew something that triggered a dialogue and so it's now canon

i drew something pretty and now it's canon

i'm listening to a song and i now have an animatic and three new scenes

and so i just add the scenes where they belong on the plot outline (i write a little summary for them, bullet point or plain text it depends) (my favorite thing is going "what i drew" on the outline and just be on my way. no dates no nothing. the amount of times i have to refer to sketchbooks from like 4 years ago in my writing. a crime).

whatever happens in between those i'll just logically figure it out when i get there.

also, once i start actually writing (and when ofc i get more ideas for more scenes), i add those on their place. subplots end up happening this way somehow, as well as thematic stuff and the like. idk, most of the time im not in control of what goes on

also sometimes i just make essays in my head about the plot. for no reason at all

2. What’s your favorite part of the writing process?

i love not being in control of what goes on ngl. my brain and the characters take the wheel and i'm just the vessel for the madness. it's also cool seeing how things just come together, how details that were there for some reason just. make sense. having a random idea one day and then months later realizing how mind blowing it is because the plot has reached a conclusion that just fits with it.

also i just love my ocs and stories and worlds so much, they just make me happy :D

ok so, ik i havent been on here in literal ages but i got really busy with classes this semester, but im hoping i'll be able to talk a lil more often cuz im on break now! and i have good news about my finals and my swim class earlier in the summer! i passed my art history and my illustration classes with B's (no clue what i got for my animation class but we move on) and for my swim class i can mostly do front strokes (still cant figure out how to take a breath yet but im sure i'll figure that out next summer!) i also found out that, while i hat floating on my back, i seem to not mind it as much if im moving! i think one of the things that helped me was imagining sal there with me, staying close by and making sure i was ok, sometimes putting her hand under me to help gently push me up a little more or gently pushing the top of my head a little more under the water so i can float better. i think she'd be super proud of the progress i made!

also, i finally got around to drawing a spicy sketch of alcina (and me and a couple of my oc's djjd). its not exactly a pinup but its def something spicy. i used different colors for everyone so i can see which parts belonged to who. the blue harpy girl is andromeda, the octopus mermaid is ruby, and then theres me in between the lady's legs! still have to finish it, but so far so good! (still need to do a pinup of just alcina tho... but i did see a couple really pretty rennaisence paintings that i could try to put her in too, i just need to pick which one i like more.... leaning a little bit to the "venus of urbino" painting cuz it vibes with her a lot shdb

best  experience :  aside from the wholesomeness of meeting people in this community , honestly i gotta give a nod to the fact that i learned so much and was able to really evolve my creativity skills with likeminded people. i’ve also loved when wholesome collaboration leads to an amazing rp world / group , seeing people love and flourish within a rp group that i made / make and run is a really awesome feeling.

rp  pet  peeves  /  dealbreakers :  it’s always been , for me , muse collecting or fc collecting. like within a group with no muse cap , people who snap up the most Aesthetic fcs and have 8765 of them , barely use them or they’re all the same character seasoned slightly different .. and in the indie world it’s that and when people like ?? duplicate storylines that you worked hard to create with a different muse/mun without even checking? i’ve had so many ideas stolen that way. another one of mine that’s always been an issue is when you put in a lot of effort to establish details and content to give your partner ample things to react and interact with and then they give you back like ... two lines and maybe three syllables of dialogue. and also people fetishising my masc muses and leaving my fem muses to the wind , ick , get ready to catch an unfollow and the dropped threads if i feel that way.

fluff,  angst,  or  smut :  it’s angst , smut and then fluff for me — my muses dont lend themselves to over-softness and fluffiness , i usually have one ( lia flowers rn ) who is a softer character but just happy-life-no-drama-wholesomeness bores me ajkf gimme chaos and something i can delve into and explore the ic reactions , monologues , psychology , etc of it.

plots  or  memes :  i always live in fear of the mistake of over-plotting ... like when you flesh out so many ideas that the concept of writing through the known journey and storyline loses its appeal. i like a good skeleton plot and context and then to let the muses flow as they see fit , i have definitely grown to love the meme threads because i feel like it’s a perfect way to dry-run your muses against another - whether an au or not.

Funny enough, reanimating the dead is actually Dottore's thing, but Anastasiy caught on after watching it a couple hundred times. He's not the best at it, but he can make someone's heart restart after a few tries and a lot of annoyed muttering. The only difference between his theoretical reanimation and Dottore's is that Anastasiy's aren't given additional parts or molded into monstrosities. They just... feel wrong to look at.

As for having a hoarde of clones... Anastasiy is a clone himself, and it doesn't feel right to make them knowing full well he can't give them what they deserve. He faced the same thing as a child, ignored and neglected in favor of Dottore's experiments. He would never wish that on someone he cares so much about, even if they are a clone. He's busy enough as it is, running back and forth as a diplomat, but having a bunch of unpredictable clones to take care of would be an absolute mess. Besides, he already has Teucer, the genuine one and his best friend... He could never do him justice in that respect.

That would be worse than seeing the body for him. Knowing that Teucer is rotting or frozen completely somewhere where Anastasiy can't find him...

11 for Somati, Ferics, Calixtus and Borell?

I just realized that something tweaked in my brain and you only asked for eleven- What is your OC's weapon of choice? Have they ever actually used it?

Somati's is a crutch, they use crutchkind, specifically those forearm ergonomic crutches, eventually they start using this two headed snake crutch-staff that they do cool shit with, it becomes their signature weapon I think, at least for a while. They really really rarely actually use it, most of the time he uses visions distractions deals and other peaceful options to get around enemies. Ferics likes crossbows, thats their actual strife specibus, but they rely a lot lot more on their gadgets, theyre kind of like Jeff Earthbound actually, and yes, they kind of dominate their Land ngl. Once they Godtier they use crossbows a lot more. Its about the freedom of movement granted by flight, rather than the kind of constricted mobility of their arms in their kind of bulky chair. That and the fact that their chair means they can use a lot of gadgets more easily, like having a bunch of different stuff mounted. They still use it pretty often, but flying is pretty useful. Plus the time magic and or flight means they dont have to worry about stuff like not being able to dodge attacks, which almost all of their combat in their chair before they gained godhood is affected by. They don't necessarily *have* to be as tactical or planning as they did when they were fully chairbound, but they usually still are. Calixtus uses rods, or staves, you could also consider them either quarterstaves or maybe maces. Their first one was the centerpiece of their scale after it was broken by Calfuray. They don't use it much, they rely probably almost exclusively on negotiation or mind powers in their planet, and they don't really have Underlings in the same way as other worlds do. Borrel!!! Uses! A ball! Ballkind! She's never used it outside of performances probably, but she can serve some nasty dodgeball tactics and clown on you simultaneously. I also answered these becase im silly

What memory would your OC rather just forget? Somati! Seeing his dads decayed whalefal corpse temporally and spatially displaced onto his back lawn. Other than that... God so much.... So much Ferics! Several of their past cullers... their lusus' death. Calixtus! There was a really bad fight between their siblings once. Calixtus thought they were going to die. Calixtus really thought they were going to die. Borrel! I feel like there are a few things she already has just forgotten. Being a bronze in a carnival even on the significantly less murdery Beforus is not free of harassment. She used to work at a slaughter house, though. Those ones. Those ones show up in her daymares.

What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them? Somati! is kind of a... how do i put this nicely. Lets just say that he serves cunt in every timeline for a reason. His life is shit right now on Beforus, but he's. Gifted in the romantic field. That and the prophecy. You wouldn't expect him to be so on the ball just from how he looks and acts, but he does absolutely plan. Ferics! This depends on the viewers biases towards chairbound people, or even just chair users in general. I have known some people to seemingly think of those in motorized chairs as lazy or physically weak in an. irrationally morally charged way. Like that they have a weak will because they choose not to use an active wheelchair? If the viewer is biased like that, their pure level of stubbornness is probably very surprising. Calixtus! hmmm Well if they know cherubs, probably their love for their siblings. It is still cheruby, but its also desperate, and scared, and very much not the hate one comes to expect from them. If they don't know cherubs, probably how much they absolutely adore soft things and textures. This miserable skellington would cry if they were handed a bunny. Borrel! Probably the slaughterhouse thing. Either that or their genuinely very well meaning and respectful views on cullees.

What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw? Somati! I don't think fatal flaws appear in my characters very often. It's just not really how I write stories I think. If I had to pick one for a setting where Somati *isn't* actually like gifted with prophecy, it would be their resignation to fate probably.

i just want to say that i had a relationship similar to hie jk and oc. we fought so badly and said the worst things to each other but we always came back because it was what we were used to. its all about the forgiveness. being comfortable with the dysfunction is common unfortunately.

this story is very realistic in my eyes because to me they seem like theyre all so in deep with each other like on a soul level that regardless of how toxic it can be, one person is not necessarily more evil than the other. in other words, everyone thinks theyre justified. both jk and oc were young in love and that sticks so much to a person. im talking literally for ur whole life. feelings u cant help, merely because of the memories you shared and what you end up building together. jk is a broken person and so is she. not to mention now they have a kid! they literally cant get rid of each other for good unless they fight to the death. they also cant get past their old selves. hopefully they overcome that with compromise and work. depends on who wants to fully commit to that 🤷🏻‍♀️

finding love through trauma bonding is real!although not the healthiest, it is unpredictable and intense and passionate. i truly think that oc is not a fool she is just human. people forget how easy it can be to fall right back into a cycle of hurt if no one decides to change. their dynamic is different because they HAVE changed in some ways. maybe not completely but its progressing and it seems like the spark will always be there between jk and oc. they both obviously care at least an ounce about each other. just the subtle yearning is significant.

you can also love two people at the same time just in different ways. who you decide to build your relationship with doesnt mean u stop all feelings for someone else. with time love will be tested and all that matters is who will make who the happiest!! not excusing any of the horrible behavior, but everyone shows their ugliest sides when they dont know what they want from life. its just what it is. good news tho, i think almost all of the characters are fed up with the dysfunction and want peace. junho is a blessing because it takes everyones minds of themselves, and they selflessly think about that child. other than sora (lol) i truly believe that junho has both his parents and their friends rooting for him and want to step up to the plate so that can have a better life than any of them. junho comes first!!!

whatever you said about jk & oc is true too !! no matter what, no matter how shitty the other person acts you just can’t help your feelings. especially when they were once a good person. you’re constantly thinking that the old them is still somewhere in there & that’s kind of how oc feels too. (even though she won’t say it)

@brandyllyn - doppelgänger - nathan/reader - Wow - everything. This fic is just- so perfect! I love how Nathan makes an AI of himself (and believes that everyone would fuck themselves, given the chance) - that is one os the most in-character things I've ever seen Nathan do in fic - it's just perfect! Also love how bad Nathan is in bed at first, and the ending is so hot. Love love love this fic, I reread it regularly.

@youvebeenlivingfictional - don’t treat my love like a habit - santiago/reader - I love reading this series because I love how the characters develop, and how their relationships change over time too. I love the imagery in this fic and its such a comfort read. (Also there needs to be an honourary mention of Magnetic too, by the same author as it has excellent slow-burn pacing).

@woakiees - mistakes and sour grapes - poe/reader - I love how, although its modern-day Poe, it also does a really good job of showing Poe's struggles as he tries to adapt to civilian life. I also really enjoy the slow build between the two of them and Finn's friendship with the reader (also it's made me desperate to try a chocolate cake shot lol). 

@woakiees - and you keep me holding on - santiago/reader - it made me cry so much!!! the emotion, the days counting, the pain of poor Santi, just everything its so good

@brandyllyn - to sell your love for peace - javier/reader - omg ok. the writing in this was so good, and the foreshadowing was excellent - the whole time, I had a sneaking suspicion of what was going to happen, but the clues were so expertly scattered in that I had just convinced myself I was wrong when... (AAAAHHHH I screamed you have no idea it was so good).

@writingletterstothefire - she loves me - santiago/reader - the suspense! I love knowing things that the characters dont and I cant wait to find out how they react! I really enjoy this authors writing too.
